                        Find Mirc for Linux
                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the ported version of Find Mirc for Linux.  We have tested it under
Suse Linux 6.4, 8.1, 8.2, 9.0, Ubuntu 5.04, 5.10 and Debian 3.0r1-r4, 3.1r0-
r1.  This version works very well and very fast compared to the win32/dos
version.  The Linux version is even faster under VMWARE than the win32
version on the same host without the vmware emulator!  We have tested F_Mirc
additionally against a big Samba share mounted via NFS from a HP-UX host and
on a Samba Share on a Debian Intel box...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some things to know:
- Options MUST start  with a  minus sign, all options starting with a
slash are treated as a directory.
- You can  set (export) options   just the same  way that is   supported
under dos.  See documentation of e.g.  RHBVS or VSP for explanation.  In
short
        export f_mirc=-all -del         # sets: all files and delete viruses
        f_mirc /samba -del-             # scans /samba and unsets -del
- virscan.irc,   virscan.wsm &  virscan.trj (filename   in lower  cases)
must   be in   the same  directory f_mirc   resides. Rename  them  with
u2ldir.sh if  in upper case.
- aborting  with the  ESC key   works and  is better  than killing   (no
dedicated signal handler implemented).
- you must be root to use f_mirc
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a beta version of F_Mirc.
Currently know bugs:
- goes into a recursive infinitive loop  somewhere on  /etc/rc.config.d - FIXED?!
Depending on the released archive you may find enclosed  the incomplete
source code/object code for the Linux port.  If you want to recompile it
using FPC 1.0.10++ (Free Pascal Compiler) contact me for the full source
code.  In the case of enhancements please also contact me.
The 1.9.x fpc stream is buggy and can not be used to compile f_mirc!
Currently we use fpc 2.0.0-4/Debian to compile the Linux version.
