C.a.R. is open source by the GPL and free of charge. the GPL allows to change or modify the source, as long as the source remains open. Commercial applications are possible, but the source pages must be cited. You are welcome to distribute C.a.R. on CDs.
C.a.R. is a Java program and requires a runtime 1.1. or better. It is recommended to use the most recent Java version for your system.
C.a.R. is updated frequently. The best way to keep up to date is using the Java Web Start installation below. If you prefer a fixed local installation, you can find version changes on the following page.
There are several ways to install C.a.R.
Recommended version of C.a.R. for computers with permanent internet connection. The program is always up to date with the most recent program version. The documentation should be read online. |

A complete installer package, including documentation, examples, start icons, and assigning construction files to C.a.R. for Windows. Install as main user. Make sure, Java is installed properly on your system (see prerequisites above). |
