Inserting A New Item

To enter a new item make sure that you have selected the appropriate the item sheet selected by clicking on the 'Income Items' or 'Expense Items' button

Now you can either

  1. Press the ' Insert ' key on your keyboard
  2. Press the ' Ctrl ' + ' I ' keys on your keyboard simultaneously
  3. Click on the 'New Item' button
  4. Move the mouse cursor over the income sheet and click the right mouse button or Select 'Edit' from the file menu

to display the following popup window and select ' New Item'

The' Income Items' or 'Expense Items' dialog box will then be displayed

You can select an existing item description by clicking the down arrow to display an item description list

or you can type in your own description by clicking in the 'Item Description' Text box and overtyping it

Select the frequency at which the income item comes in or the expense item goes out and enter in an amount in either dollars or dolars and cents.

Click OK and the item will be added to the item sheet and the graph and balances will automatically be updated

Editing An Item

To edit an item select the item you wish to edit from the item sheet

Now you can either

  1. Double click on the item in the item sheet
  2. Press the ' Enter ' key on your keybord
  3. Press the ' Ctrl ' + ' I ' keys on your keyboard simultaneously
  4. Click on the 'Edit Item' button
  5. Move the mouse cursor over the income sheet and click the right mouse button or Select 'Edit' from the file menu

to display the following popup window and select ' Edit Item'

Deleting An Item

To delete an item select the item you wish to delete from the item sheet

Now you can either

  1. Press the ' Del ' key on your keybord
  2. Press the ' Ctrl ' + ' D ' keys on your keyboard simultaneously
  3. Click on the 'Delete Item' button
  4. Move the mouse cursor over the income sheet and click the right mouse button or Select 'Edit' from the file menu

to display the following popup window and select ' Delete Item'

NB : If you cannot undelete a deleted item in this version of APSW Budget Planner. You can only retrieve deleted items by closing the plan without saving your changes and reopening it. Doing this will also lose any other changes you have made since your last save

Clear Items

You can clear all the items on the item sheet that you are working on by pressing the 'Clear Items' button

The following dialog box will be displayed
