-= 2. Introduction -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Mario is back on the Nintendo 64 after all these years for the "sequel" to the
original Super Mario RPG for the SNES. This game takes on more of a
2-dimensional appearance this time around, since the game takes place in a 3D
world with 2D characters. There are many new items and features to be taken
advantage of in this game as well. It's definitely worth getting, and I highly
recommend it, too!

-= 3. Story -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Far, far away beyond the sky, way above the clouds, it's been said that there
was a haven where the Stars lived.

In the sanctuary of Star Haven there rested a fabled treasure called the Star
Rod, which had the power to grant all wishes. Using this wondrous Star Rod, the
seven revered Star Spirits watched over our peaceful world carefully... very
carefully.

Then one day, a terrible thing happened... The evil King Bowser appeared in
Star Haven and stole the Star Rod! Using its incredible power he quickly
imprisoned the seven Star Spirits!

Completely unaware of the trouble in far-off Star Haven, Mario was back home in
the Mushroom Kingdom, eagerly reading a letter from Princess Peach. It was an
invitation to a party at the castle! With much anticipation, he and his brother
Luigi set off for the party, oblivious to the chaos that lay ahead...

=====
Mario
=====

Obviously, Mario is the 2D hero of this game, hence the game's title! Armed
with his trusty Hammer and his famous Jump attack, he's ready to take on the
baddies all throughout this game!

Mario's Moves
-------------

Hammer: In battle, Mario can use his trusty hammer to attack. There are more
moves you can do with the Hammer, depending on the badges you have equipped. To
attack with the Hammer, hold Left on the Control Stick until the circle
flashes, then release to attack.

Jump: As in the other Mario games, he uses a Jump attack as well. The types of
these jumps that can be performed depend on the badges you have as well. Before
you land on the enemy, press A again to jump on them again to cause extra
damage.

Star Powers: As you free the Star Spirits, Mario will be able to use Star
Powers in battle, provided there is enough power in the star meter. There is
another section in this guide that focuses on those attacks, so look in there
if you need help.

=========
Goombario
=========

This mushroom kid is the first partner Mario has in his adventure. From the
start, Goombario is a useful character to have on your team with his unique
ability to tell you any enemy's stats on the spot. If you press C-Down with
Goombario as your current partner, he'll talk to you about the current area and
what you should do next.

Goombario's Moves
-----------------

Headbonk: Goombario uses his head to hit an enemy from above. Press A before
landing to hit the enemy a second time. Beware that you don't use this on
enemies with spikes on their heads or you'll take some damage!

Tattle: Perhaps his most useful move is this one. Use this on any enemy or boss
to determine their HP, as well as their attack and defense levels. You'll also
receive a hint on how to deal with that enemy, so pay attention when you use
this move!

Charge: When used in battle, and at the cost of 1 FP, Goombario can raise his
attack power by 2 points for the next round in that battle. This is definitely
useful when you want Goombario to help finish off a tough enemy fast!

======
Kooper
======

This shelled character is the second person to join Mario's party. His Shell
Toss ability, which can be used outside battle (press C-Down), can be extremely
useful when reaching far away items, switches, etc. He's definitely a great
asset to your crew!

Kooper's Moves
--------------

Shell Toss: When used in battle, Kooper hides inside his shell and spins
towards an enemy, causing some damage. Use this move just like you would
Mario's Hammer attack; pull back on the Control Stick to charge up, then
release to attack.

Power Shell: This is basically a more powerful and effective version of the
Shell Toss. Instead of hitting only one enemy, it hits all the enemies in a
row. However, it costs 3 FP each time you use this attack.

Dizzy Shell: As its name implies, Kooper attempts to paralyze the enemies with
this attack. Costing 4 FP per use, press A repeatedly to build up the chances
of paralyzing the enemies when you hit. If successful, those enemies won't be
able to move for a few rounds.

========
Bombette
========

This pink Bob-omb is your third companion after you help it escape from the
cell in the Koopa Bros. Fortress. Her main use is to blow open holes in cracked
walls and other weak objects.

Bombette's Moves
----------------

Body Slam: As the name implies, Bombette rams herself into an enemy to attack.
Charge it up by holding A until the meter becomes full and the circle flashes,
then release to attack.

Bomb: Her signature move allows her to explode, causing a good amount of damage
to the enemies she hits. To use effectively, press A as fast as you can to fill
the meter to the 100% mark; that way, the attack is at its strongest point when
used.

Power Bomb: This is a much more powerful version of her Bomb ability. Although
this one costs 6 FP per use, she can explode, causing great amounts of damage
to all enemies on the ground.

=========
Parakarry
=========

This Paratroopa delivers mail all around the Mushroom Kingdom. You bump into
him at Mt. Rugged, where he happens to have lost some Letters. His contribution
to the group is the ability to carry Mario over small gaps, so this guy will
prove to be very useful throughout the game.

Parakarry's Moves
-----------------

Sky Dive: With this, Parakarry basically rams into the enemy from within his
shell in mid-air. Press A before making contact to cause extra damage.

Shell Shot: This move allows Parakarry to rocket into an enemy at high speed,
causing a good amount of damage. The action command for this one is unique as
well. To use, hold Left on the Control Stick while the crosshair line moves up
and down. Line it up with the blue target surrounding the enemy you picked,
then release to rocket into the target.

Air Lift: When used, Parakarry will attempt to carry a single enemy out of the
battle, giving you that much less to deal with. It costs 3 FP per use, and you
must press A repeatedly to increase your chances of being successful. Also,
note that it doesn't work on spiked enemies.

===
Bow
===

This ghost lives in Boo's Mansion, and asks for Mario's help to defeat Tubba
Blubba. Her abilities can prove to be very useful, especially since she can
turn you and herself transparent outside of battle to avoid being seen by
anything.

Bow's Moves
-----------

Slap: This generic move allows this ghost to slap the enemy several times. When
used, keep pressing Left on the Control Stick repeatedly to build up power. The
more you press to the Left, the more power the attack is.

Outta Sight: This special move allows Bow to make Mario transparent in battle
for a round of battle. This costs 2 FP per use, and it prevents enemies from
hitting you since they can't see you.

Spook: This move allows Bow to really scare the hell out of the enemies, and
even make them run away scared! It costs 3 FP per use, and you execute it by
pressing Left on the Control Stick repeatedly to build up the meter. The more
you build it up, the higher your chances of scaring away the enemies are.

Fan Smack: The Ultra Rank move that Bow learns is her most powerful one,
obviously. She uses her fan to smack the hell out of the enemy you targeted.
For the action command, push the Control Stick to the Left repeatedly really
fast to build up the meter. It also costs 5 FP each time you use this attack.

====
Watt
====

This light from the Big Lantern Ghost's lamp is the next friend you'll meet in
the Shy Guy's Toy Box. Her ability to light up rooms and reveal hidden chests
is quite helpful and useful as well. Her electrical attacks are also good to
use in battle, too.

Watt's Moves
------------

Electro Dash: With this, Watt charges up her electrical power as you hold down
A until the meter becomes full. After you let go, Watt will electrocute the
enemy and lower their defenses as well.

Power Shock: Here, Watt uses her electrical power to paralyze a single enemy.
You must press A repeatedly to build up the chances of this move working,
though. It also costs 2 FP per use.

Turbo Charge: With this move, Watt will use her electrical powers to boost
Mario's attack power temporarily. When the meter appears, press A when the red
circles light up to use it. Also, it costs 3 FP each time you use this.

Mega Shock: Watt will be able to paralyze all enemies with this ability. It
costs 5 FP per use, and for the action command, you must press A and B together
repeatedly to fill up the meter, increasing the effectiveness of the move.

======
Sushie
======

Your seventh partner in this quest is in the form of a fish. Her specialty is
that you can swim on the water by pressing C-Down when standing on the edge of
the wooden docks near the water. While in the water, you can press/hold C-Down
again to dive for a short time.

Sushie's Moves
--------------

Belly Flop: For this move, Sushie does a belly flop on the enemy's head. Pull
Left on the Control Stick to charge up, then release when the red circle lights
up to do the attack. As always, the power of the attack depends on how much you
charge it.

Squirt: This is a pretty good attack, although the action command for it is
pretty annoying to perform. This shoots a stream of water at the enemy, and it
costs 3 FP per use. For the action command, hold A to fill up the bar, but
don't let it go all the way. When it almost reaches the end, start tapping A to
keep it near the end until the move is performed.

Water Block: Sushie creates a protective shield around Mario, temporarily
raising his defense. It costs 3 FP per use, and to charge it, you must press A
each time a red circle is lit up on the meter. The shield only lasts for a
limited time, however.

Tidal Wave: For her Ultra move, Sushie makes a massive tidal wave to attack all
enemies on the screen. It costs 6 FP per use, and you must press B, A, or
C-Down in the order they show up on the screen in order to make this move
powerful.

-= 6. Walkthrough -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Introduction
------------

The game opens outside Mario and Luigi's house, when Parakarry delivers a
letter to them. Luigi picks up the letter and brings it inside, then reads it
to Mario. It's an invitation to a party at Princess Peach's castle. The two
leave the house and head through town, then finally arrive at the castle. After
a short talk, you'll gain control of Mario. So, head straight up the stairs and
through the big door to the next room. Go left and up some more steps, then
continue into the next room. Continue through the next couple of rooms until
you meet up with Princess Peach.

After a conversation with Peach, the ground outside will start shaking and a
giant castle will come out of the ground and carry Peach's castle high into the
sky. Bowser and his assistant then appear and taunt Mario. After that, you'll
enter battle against Bowser. Just keep using the Jump attack to hurt him until
Bowser uses the Star Rod and defeats you with his fiery breath (it's impossible
to win this battle, by the way). When the battle ends, he'll knock you out of
the castle, and you'll land in a forest below.

When you land in the forest, the 7 Star Spirits will appear and attempt to
revive Mario while he's unconscious. They'll disappear and a Goomba will find
Mario in the forest. It'll call for help, and the scene will end.

Goomba Village
--------------

When the scene opens again, Mario will be lying in a bed in a small house. A
Star Spirit will appear again and tell you to meet it at the Shooting Star
Summit. After that, it'll disappear and Mario will finally wake up. Toad will
then enter the house and talk for a few moments, and then he'll suggest you pay
the Goombas a visit. So, go left and exit this house. Talk to the Goomba
children, then go right and enter the larger building. Talk to Gooma (the
grandmother) inside, and then exit the house. One of the children will tell you
that the gate is finally fixed. So, go right and use the Save Block if you
like, then talk to the father Goomba standing by the gate. After he tells you
where to go, Kammy Koopa will fly in. She'll drop a giant block on the gate,
then fly away. Since you can't get around it, the Goomba father will ask you to
retrieve the hammer the grandfather was using to fix the veranda. Go left and
back into the large building again. Inside, go right and up through the back
door to the veranda. There is nothing out there, so you'll fall down to the
area below, which is Jr. Troopa's Playground.

Jr. Troopa's Playground
-----------------------

When you land, go right and down, then talk to the Goompa (grandfather Goomba).
He says that there's no way back to the house for now since the path is
blocked. Mario asks about using the hammer, but Goompa says it's lost
somewhere, so he'll follow you around to help look for it. Follow the path left
to the next area, then Goompa will tell you to check in the bushes to find it.
Go behind each bush and press A when the exclamation point appears to shake out
whatever is in the branches. Collect the coins that you find, and continue
searching until you eventually shake out the Hammer. Now, destroy the blocks on
the ground and hit the trees with the Hammer (press B). You should get a Dolly
by hitting one of the trees. Then, take the path right to get out of this area.
Goompa will run ahead, but gets stopped by the Jr. Troopa. You'll then enter a
battle against it. Read the Bosses section for some quick help on defeating it.
After the battle, continue right to the next area. Here, head right and destroy
the large block with the Hammer, then destroy some more blocks. Hit the block
with the heart inside to recover your health, then bounce on the trampoline
nearby to reach the higher ledge. Collect the Fire Flower, then jump back down
and go right to the next area. There, go right along the path and defeat the
Goombas and Spiked Goombas along the way. When you can go up, jump to the
higher ledge and go left and up to the top. Once there, go left and collect a
Star Piece. Now, head all the way right and continue along the path to the next
area, which is Goomba Village.

Goomba Village
--------------

Back in the Goomba Village, go right and open the locked gate. Then, the
children will all great Goompa. He'll run inside to get something for you.
Goombario will talk to you for a moment, and then Goompa will come back out and
give you the Power Jump Badge. After that, he'll tell Goombario to accompany
you on your journey, so you'll now have a second party member! Before you do
anything else, talk to Goombaria and give her the Dolly you found to get a Star
Piece. Now, equip the Power Jump Badge on Mario and save your game via the
nearby Save Block. Then, go right and destroy the large block in your way. With
the path cleared, head right and out of the Goomba Village.

Goomba Road
-----------

Upon starting along the path to Toad Town, head right and read the sign along
the road. Defeat the Goomba that jumps off it to attack, then continue right
and defeat those enemies as well. Jump up and hit the blocks to get a few
coins, then continue going right into the next area. There, go right and defeat
a Spiked Goomba. After that, jump up and hit the block you come across to get
the Close Call Badge. Be sure to equip this one right away! Continue right and
read the sign, then grab the Mushroom that falls from it. Go right some more
and defeat a Paragoomba, and then hit the Heart Block to recover your HP/FP.
Now, head right into the next scene. In this scene, go right towards the
trampoline and the Goomba Bros. will appear on the high ledge. They'll talk for
a moment before jumping down to engage in battle with you. Read the Bosses
section for help on defeating them. After you win (you should've gained a level
by now), they'll run away scared! So, go right and save with the Save Block,
then jump on the nearby trampoline to reach the high ledge. Now, go right into
the next area. Here, read the sign with the picture of a mushroom on it. Defeat
the Goomba that jumps off the sign, then head right to the following area to
reach King Goomba's Fortress.

King Goomba's Fortress
----------------------

When you arrive here, you'll see a short scene where the Red and Blue Goombas
are running to the fort after their defeat. They whine to the Goomba King, and
then all 3 of them come outside to meet your group. You'll then enter a battle
against these guys, so read the Bosses section for help on beating them
quickly. After that battle, the 3 will retreat to the inside of the fortress,
leaving you outside. So, go up to the tree nearby and hit it with the Hammer to
get a Star Piece. Then, go to the locked door of the fortress and hit A to
listen in on their conversation inside. They'll hint at a hidden switch outside
the fortress. Check behind the light-colored bush near the entrance to the
fortress to make a switch pop out. Hit the switch and the Goomba King will
freak out since you already hit it. The fortress will then come apart and form
a bridge across the chasm behind it, and the Goomba King will be sent VERY far
away! Now that that's over, go through the fortress and cross the bridge to
reach the area at the other end. There, continue right to reach the next area.
At this point, you'll see Kammy Koopa spying on you before she flies away. You
will also be given the option to save if you'd like.

After you're done with that, you'll view a scene of Kammy Koopa returning to
Bowser's flying castle. There will be a conversation between the two about
Goomba King's defeat, and about the Star Rod's powers. They will then talk
about the Star Spirits and how they're being guarded, then they'll mention
something about the Koopa Bros. guarding the first one. At that point, the
Koopa Bros. will appear and demonstrate their special attack for Bowser, which
you aren't allowed to see yet. After realizing noone's guarding the Star
Spirit, the Koopa Bros. leave and the scene ends.

Now that you're back in control of Mario, head right and down the hill to the
bottom. Then, go left and hit the block to get a Sleepy Sheep. Now, continue
right a little bit to where the actual path begins. Hit the tree in the
background with the Hammer to make a trampoline fall out of its branches. Use
it to bounce to the roof covering the path, then open the chest to get the
Hammer Throw Badge. After that, go back left and drop down to the ground, then
continue all the way right to Toad Town.

Toad Town
---------

When you enter this town for the first time, Toad will come up to you and talk
for a moment. After he's done, start by going around and talking to the people
wandering around. Also, be sure to stop by the Item Shop (has a flower sign
next to the door) and buy some Honey Syrup and Mushrooms since you'll need
them! When you're done here, go back outside and go left to find a green pipe
(it's near the entrance to the town). Go down the pipe to warp back to Mario's
house.

Mario and Luigi's House
-----------------------

When you arrive here, Luigi will greet you and tell you how he was worried
because of that earthquake. After he's done talking, go inside the house and
rest in Mario's bed if you like. Otherwise, go back down the pipe and return to
Toad Town.

Toad Town
---------

When you get back here, go right along the path all the way to the next area.
Go up into the grass to the left of the building with the spinning roof, then
hit the tree with the Hammer to get another Star Piece. Then, continue right to
the center area of town. At that point, head north along the road and go
through the large blue gate at the end. Follow the path up and right past where
the castle was supposed to be, then continue right to the following area. Here,
continue right along the path and take the upper route to reach the Shooting
Star Summit.

Shooting Star Summit
--------------------

When you enter this area, head left and collect the Star Piece you find there.
Then, go back to the right and start jumping from ledge to ledge to get up the
hill to the very top. Once you reach the summit, go straight to the Star Spirit
waiting for you. Talk to the elder spirit and the other spirits will appear
around you. They'll all tell you the story about the Star Rod and what Bowser
did. After their story is over, you'll be given the option to save your game
again. Do what you will, then the scene will shift up to the castle in the sky.
It'll show Princess Peach wishing for help before Bowser and Kammy enter the
room and taunt her for a moment. After they leave, a small star will knock on
the door leading outside and Peach will let it in. It'll then introduce itself
as Twink, and will grant her wishes. Since Twink can't handle granting big
wishes yet, Peach asks it to bring Mario the Lucky Star and to tell him she's
safe. After Twink leaves, the scene will then shift back down to Mario.

When you gain control again, head left down the path to leave the area when
Twink will suddenly crash into you from the sky. It'll give you the Lucky Star,
which allows you to use the "action command" in battle. Choose to watch the
demonstration if you want, then Magikoopa will appear to bother you. Engage in
battle with this guy, so check out the Bosses section for quick strategy on
winning here. After this, Twink will leave and you'll be left to go about on
your adventure. So, go left through the next couple areas and get back to Toad
Town.

Toad Town
---------

When you pass through the blue gates again, Toad will meet you and say that
Merlon is looking for you. So, go down and left to the house with the spinning
roof and knock on the door a few times. You have to do that a few times to get
him to open up. After he lets you in, he'll tell you a long and boring story
which Mario falls asleep listening to. After Merlon is done, he'll tell you to
head to the Koopa Bros. Fortress. Now, leave the house and go right, then enter
the Toad House (the one with the mushroom sign hanging above the door). Rest
here to recover your HP/FP, then leave the house and save your game. After
that, go right along the path and you'll encounter a group of dark-colored
Toads that won't let you pass. So, go back to Merlon's place and talk to him
about it. Merlon will leave the house, so follow him outside and right towards
those dark Toads again. Talk to Merlon and he'll make them reveal their true
forms. They happen to be the Koopa Bros. in disguise. They retreat, leaving the
path clear for now, so now's your chance. Head right and into the start of
Chapter 1!

========================================
Chapter 1: Storming Koopa Bros. Fortress
========================================

Pleasant Path
-------------

Upon entering this path east of Toad Town, head right and defeat the enemies
you come across. Hit the blocks you pass, especially the red question block
since it contains the Dizzy Attack Badge. Then, continue ahead and bust some
more blocks to find a Fright Jar. After that, keep going right to the next
scene. There, go right and hit the first block you reach to get a POW Block.
Defeat the nearby Koopa Troopa, then hit the tree with the Hammer to make a
blue switch fall to the ground. Stomp the switch to make a bridge drop down to
the right. Go across the bridge to the other side, and hit the block there.
Defeat the Spiked Goomba that drops down, then continue right and defeat
whatever other enemies are in the way. Go right and jump onto the next ledge,
then check behind the fence to find a Sleepy Sheep. Now, continue right along
the path, hitting the blocks and defeating enemies along the way. At the top,
head right to the next area. There, read the nearby sign to view directions,
then take the path going south. Drop down to the lower ledges and follow the
path down and around to find 3 blocks on the ground. Hit them with your Hammer
to reveal a red treasure box in the air. Hit it to get the Attack FX B Badge.
Then, follow the path right into the Koopa Village.

Koopa Village
-------------

When you enter this village, a Koopa will greet you. However, he'll tell you
that there are Fuzzies in the village causing problems for them. At that point,
a Fuzzy comes and steals his shell! When you gain control, jump on the Fuzzy
with the shell to give it back to the Koopa. After that, help out the other 2
Koopas outside by getting their shells back. Defeat the Fuzzies roaming around,
then check out all the bushes in the village to find some Coins, a Dried
Shroom, and a Koopa Leaf. Stop in the shop if you want, otherwise head right to
the next area of town. There, check behind the bushes nearby to get another
Koopa Leaf. Now, help the Koopa get his shell back by attacking the Fuzzy
carrying it. Go right and push the blue block towards the center of the lower
area, then jump and hit the block to make the shell atop it fall to the ground.
After that, defeat the remaining Fuzzies, then knock on the door of the house
with the green roof (the house that's shaking every now and then). A Koopa
named Kooper will come out and ask you to help him get his shell back from the
Fuzzy in his house. So, enter the house and the Fuzzy will run out the other
end. Go through the back door and chase it right through the next couple of
areas until you reach the forest.

When you get there, you'll have to play a guessing game in order to win the
shell again. The Fuzzy holding the shell, along with 3 other Fuzzies, will jump
from tree to tree above you, and when they stop, you must hit the tree that has
the shell. Do that 3 times to win Kooper's Shell! Now that you have the shell,
head left towards the exit of this area and Kooper will come running towards
you. Give him the shell when prompted to, then choose to let him join your
party. Now that everything's settled, go left like you're going to leave and
the Fuzzies will all appear and battle you. Defeat the 4 of them, then after
they retreat, go left and into the next area. Head left until you reach a few
tree stumps you can jump on. Jump onto the first one, then up to the top one.
Face the left and press C-Down with Kooper to make him retrieve the HP Plus
Badge on the stump you can't reach. Now, continue left all the way to the
following area to enter Koopa Village again.

Koopa Village
-------------

When you arrive here, go left and enter Kooper's home through the back door. Go
through the house and exit at the other end. Next, go right and down and push
the blue block to the center of the little square area. Jump on that block and
hit the block in the air to make a Star Piece fall. Grab it, then enter the
right-most house in this area. Talk to the elder Koot and offer to get the book
"Koopa Legends" from Kolorado. Leave the house and enter the house to the left
of Kooper's house (that's Kolorado's place). Talk to his wife and she'll let
you borrow that book. Now, bring it back to Koot in his house to get 1 measly
Coin as a reward! After that, exit the house and head left to the other area of
town. There, save your game, then head west and exit this town completely.

Pleasant Path
-------------

Now that you left the village, it's time to head to the Koopa Bros. Fortress.
So, head west and up the hill to the very top. Then, follow the path east and
across the bridge into the new and unexplored area. Here, go right and collect
the Coins in the path, but be ready to do battle with a Koopa Troopa that'll
jump out at you! Beat it, then go right to the edge of the high plateau. Use
Kooper's Shell Toss (C-Down) to break the block in the air to the right. Next,
drop down to the lower area and collect the Thunder Bolt that fell. Then,
continue right and to the edge by the water. Use Kooper's Shell Toss to hit the
switch at the other side, which makes a bridge appear for you to cross over.
Cross to the other side and defeat the Paratroopa, then continue right to the
next area. There, continue going to the right while defeating any Koopas in
your way. Hit the Heart Block near the end to fully recover your HP and BP,
then continue right to enter the Koopa Bros. Fortress.

Koopa Bros. Fortress
--------------------

When you arrive here, use the nearby Save Block to save your game. Then, go
right along the path to the fortress entrance. One of the Koopa Bros. will come
out and spot you, then run inside to warn his brothers. Now, continue up and
enter the fortress itself. There, follow the path around the room and defeat
the Koopa Troopa/Bob-omb team to get a Fortress Key. Use it to open the door to
the right, then continue into the next room. There, head right and defeat the
Bob-ombs along the way. Then, just continue through the door into the next
room. Here, you'll see a quick scene with one of the Koopa Bros. locking a key
behind a gate. It'll see you come into the room, then it'll run away. Now, head
right and defeat the enemies you encounter along the way. In the middle of the
room, you'll see a badge locked in a cell. Go to the back wall to the right of
the cell, then walk left through the wall to enter the cell. Collect the Power
Bounce Badge, then exit the cell the same way you got in. Then, continue right
into the following room. Here, defeat the Koopa Troopa at the other end of the
room to make a blue switch appear. Hit that switch to make the large set of
stairs in the middle of the room sink into the ground, giving you access to the
floor below. So, go down those steps to the lower level. There, just go left
into the next room. In this new room, the doors on both sides will raise up so
you can't exit, leaving you stuck to fight 3 Paratroopas. Defeat the enemies to
lower the doors again, then head left into the next room. Continue left while
jumping over the 2 fire bars that are rotating along the path, then collect the
Fortress Key at the end. Now, backtrack through the past couple of rooms to the
room with the stairs. In that room, go back upstairs and use the key to unlock
the door to the right. Then, enter that room.

Upon entering this room, you'll witness one of the Koopa Bros. doing something
to the floor above you. After he runs away, follow the path up and around to
reach the higher level. At the top, go right onto that platform the Koopa Bro
tampered with, and hit the block in the air. The floor will give out and you'll
fall straight down into a cell on the bottom floor. There, a pink-colored
Bob-omb named Bombette will introduce herself to you. After she introduces
herself, talk to her again and allow her to join your party. Hit the Heart
Block nearby to recover your health, then use Bombette's ability to blow open
the cracked wall in the upper corner of the cell. Now, go through that passage
and follow the path around to the door. As you approach the door, a Koopa
Troopa and 2 Bob-ombs will run in to see what all the racket was from. They'll
spot you and Bombette, then battle you. Defeat them, then continue through the
door to the next room. There, go up the stairs to the higher level, then go
left into the next room. Use Bombette's ability to destroy the cracked wall you
see, then enter that cell to get the Fortress Key. Go back to the previous room
and continue right to the following room. This time, take the path down and to
the right by the cracked wall. Use Bombette to blow it open, then go outside
through that hole and open a chest to get the Refund Badge. Go back inside and
enter the south door to reach another room. There, save your game and go back
to the previous room, then follow the path all the way up to the top again.
When you reach the top level this time, go through the left door into that
room. Go left and defeat the Paratroopa, then use the key to unlock the door
and continue into the next room.

Here, go left to the edge of the platform, then switch your party so Kooper is
your partner. Use his Shell Toss ability to hit the switch across the gap,
which will cause bridges and walls to appear. Now, walk left all the way until
you reach the wall, then turn around and use the Shell Toss again to hit the
switch, which will make the walls and bridges disappear again. Next, walk to
the left edge of the platform you're on, then use the Shell Toss to hit the
next switch to make everything appear once again. Continue left to the next
wall, then turn around and Shell Toss the switch to lower it. Now that you're
at the end, go left and into the next room. Here, defeat the Koopa Troopa and
hit the switch to lower the stairs, then go down to the lower floor. At the
bottom, switch partners so you have Bombette with you, then destroy the cracked
wall on the ledge you previously couldn't reach. Go right through the hole into
the next room and collect the Fortress Key you find. Now, go back through the
hole and up the stairs to the upper floor again, then unlock the door to the
left. Continue left into the next room, then hit the switch to the left to
raise the stairs from the water below. Go around to the bottom of those stairs
and defeat the Koopa Troopas, then go up to the higher level. At the top of the
stairs, continue right and up the ramp to the top. Before entering the door to
the right, continue up the path to the very top. There, defeat a Bob-omb and
claim the Smash Charge Badge. I recommend you equip that badge right away! Now,
go back down to the door you just passed and enter that room.

When you get outside here, the Koopa Bros. will come out at the other side and
start shooting Bullet Bills at you. Avoid or fight them if you want, then start
making your way to the right. A short distance from the beginning of this area,
go down and left on another path and use Bombette to destroy a boulder in your
way. Then, hit the block and collect the Maple Syrup. Now, go back up to the
main path and continue right while fighting your way through lines of Bullet
Bills. When you reach the end, fight and defeat the 3 Bill Blasters. After
that, go down and right and recover with the Heart Block. Save your game, then
go back up and right through the door to the next room. Here, you'll finally
encounter the Koopa Bros. They'll taunt you, then move offscreen for a moment.
When they return, they'll be in a giant wooden Bowser, which they'll battle you
with first. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating this imposter. After
you beat the imposter, you'll automatically fight the Koopa Bros. So, read the
Bosses section for help on beating them as well. After you win, go right and
take the first Star Spirit card to end Chapter 1!

Princess Peach's Castle
-----------------------

Immediately after the end of Chapter 1, the scene will open inside Peach's
castle. She'll talk to Twink about how there's a secret passage in her room.
When you gain control of the Princess, check out the fireplace, which is
suspiciously large. Then, check out the picture frame to the right of the
fireplace to reveal a switch. Hit it to make the fireplace shut off, revealing
a hidden doorway behind it. Now, go through that door into the next area. Go
all the way left to another switch, then hit it to cause the area you're in to
rotate around, which leaves you off in another room. Go left and read the book
on the table a few times to get a hint about where Mario is to go next, which
is the Dry Dry Ruins. The Princess will then ask Twink to tell Mario that. At
that point, Bowser will burst into the room and have his guards take her away.
Twink will then follow and leave to tell Mario.

Meanwhile, the Eldstar and Mario are outside the Koopa Bros. Fortress. Allow
the Eldstar to teach you about Star Power, and it'll give you a couple of Star
Powers as thanks for saving the first Star Spirit. After Eldstar leaves, head
left and save your game at the Save Block. After that, go left to the next
area, which is Pleasant Path.

Pleasant Path
-------------

When you get back on this path to Toad Town again, go left and you'll find a
cracked wall you passed by previously. Use Bombette to blow it up, then go down
the pipe you can now access to reach another area. Go right to the next scene,
then open the chest to get the FP Plus Badge. Now, go back left to the previous
area and go down, then drop down to the lower area again. Now, continue all the
way left through the next few areas of Pleasant Path while defeating the
enemies along the way. Continue all the way west along this path until you
encounter Jr. Troopa again. Battle him (read the Bosses section if you need
help), then after you win, continue west into Toad Town.

Toad Town
---------

When you arrive here again, head left and Twink will appear. He'll pass on what
happened at the castle a few moments ago with the Princess, and he'll tell you
to head to the Dry Dry Ruins. After he leaves, continue left and south along
the path. You'll be stopped by some kid who's promoting his dad's new Badge
Shop. Take a look in their shop and buy one of their badges if you like, then
continue south to the next area. Here, continue south until you reach the path
going west. Go a little further south than that, then head west to find a pipe.
The sign next to it reads "Private", but go down that pipe to enter the Toad
Town Tunnels.

Toad Town Tunnels
-----------------

When you enter this place, there really isn't much you can do here for now. For
now, head right and save your game, then continue to the next area. There,
defeat a Gloomba and hit all the blocks along the back end of the room. Defeat
the Spiked Gloomba that falls from one of the blocks. Also, jump up in the
empty area between the last two blocks to hit a hidden block containing a Super
Shroom. Now, continue right into the next room. Here, go right until a Blooper
appears. You'll enter battle against this creature, so read the Bosses section
for help on winning. After you win, continue right and open the chest to get
the Shrink Stomp Badge. Now, backtrack left a couple rooms and go through the
same pipe you came down here in to get back to Toad Town.

Toad Town
---------

After you get back above ground again, go right and continue south to the next
area of town. There, continue all the way to the train tracks. At that point,
go left and use Bombette to destroy the rock on the track. After that, go left
and talk to the guy with a dark hat and choose to board the train heading to
Mt. Rugged. The train will then leave, taking you into Chapter 2!

=======================================
Chapter 2: The Mystery of Dry Dry Ruins
=======================================

Mt. Rugged
----------

When you arrive at the train station, go left and save your game. Then, head
left and check the bushes to find some Coins and an Egg. Next, go north along
the path to the top of the mountain. At the top, go right and you'll hear the
voice of someone who's lost. A Paratroopa will fly in and crash into Mario
accidentally, then introduce himself as Parakarry. He'll ask you to help him by
finding a letter he lost in Mt. Rugged. For now, continue right into the next
area after hitting the Heart Block if you need the energy. In the next area, go
right and up the steps, then continue right and defeat the Monty Mole that
appears. After that, follow the path down and right, then hit the block to get
a Sleepy Sheep after defeating another Monty Mole that appears. Then, go back
up to the higher area and take the path up and right to the next area. There,
save your game and continue to the right while defeating the Monty Moles you
encounter. Go right and onto the higher ledge, then turn around and switch to
Kooper and use his Shell Toss to grab the first Letter on the ledge. Then, just
continue right to the next area. Here, go right and jump up to the higher
ledge, then follow the path straight up to the peak of the hill. Once at the
top, take the path right all the way to the next area. Here, walk to the south
and drop down to the lower area. Defeat the Cleft, then grab the Letter to the
right. Then, go left and jump on the trampoline to reach the high ledge. There,
go back left to the previous area.

In this area again, take the path all the way to the left, through the caves,
to the following area. There, go left until you can't go any further, then
press A at the bar and slide down the hill. You'll jump the gap to reach the
ledge across the area. When you land, continue left to the next area. In this
area, continue left while defeating the enemies along the way. When you reach
the gold trampoline, bounce on it to reach the high ledge, then follow the
upper path to the right. Defeat another Cleft and hit the block with the Hammer
to get Honey Syrup. Next, go back left to the top of that slide, then press A
to slide down it and jump across to another ledge. There, continue all the way
right to pick up the third and final Letter. Now, drop down to the lower ledge
and head right to the previous area. Go right and slide down to the lower area,
then go down and left along the path to the Save Block. Save if you want,
otherwise go left to the next area. Go all the way left through this area to
reach the following area where Parakarry is waiting. Talk to Parakarry and give
him each of the Letters. After he's done talking, take him along and he'll join
your party. Now that you have someone new in your group, use the Heart Block
and head right to the next area again.

In this area, head to the right and jump up the steps, then continue right and
defeat the Monty Mole. Go down the steps and turn left, then destroy the block
with the Hammer and talk to the creature that comes out of the ground. Hit him
with the Hammer to get Whacka's Bump, which is a very good item to have. Now,
go back right and up the steps, then continue up and right along the path to
reach the next area. Go right and save your game if you like, otherwise keep
going to the right and defeat the Monty Moles that appear. Go up the steps,
then go right and jump up to the higher ledge. Have Parakarry fly you to the
left across the 2 gaps to the ledge with the Quake Hammer Badge. After that,
head back to the right and continue to the next area. There, go right and jump
onto the higher ledge. Instead of going up the hill, continue along the path to
the right, then use Parakarry to fly across the gap. Talk to the plant that
jumps out of the ground and it'll give you a Seed that should be planted in
Toad Town. Now, go back left to the hill and go up it this time. At the top,
continue right to the next area. Go right and have Parakarry fly you across to
the ledge you previously couldn't reach. Go across the bridge and the buzzard
in the background will fly over and confront you. It'll ask for your name, so
pick either Mario or Princess Peach if you want to battle, or Luigi if you want
to avoid the fight. I chose to fight, so read the Bosses section for help on
winning. After the fight, Buzzar will fall off the mountain in defeat. Now,
follow the path downhill and into the next area. There, go right and down a
couple more ledges. Use the Heart Block and save your game at the bottom, then
continue down and right into Dry Dry Desert.

Dry Dry Desert
--------------

When you enter this area, head right to reach a campsite. Talk to the Koopa
with the moustache (Kolorado), and he'll tell you about his search for the Dry
Dry Ruins. After that, have Parakarry deliver the Letter you found in Mt.
Rugged to gain a Star Piece. Then, take the path north to the next scene. Here,
defeat the Bandits, then go up to the block on the ground and hit it once with
the Hammer to make a block appear in the air. Hit it to get a Mushroom. Hit the
ground block 10 times total to make a block with a Super Shroom appear. Hit it
100 times total to make a third block appear with an Ultra Shroom inside. After
you collect those, continue north to the next area. Go up and jump onto the
rock to the right, then jump again to make a hidden block appear. Collect the
Thunder Rage inside, then head east 2 scenes. At that point, head south 1
scene. There, defeat the enemies and hit the blocks with your Hammer to get 4
Coins and a Fire Flower. Next, head south 3 scenes. Hit the blocks in that area
to get some Coins, then continue down to the following area. From there, go
left to the next scene, then stand on the rock in the middle of the area and
jump to reveal a hidden block. Grab the Attack FX C Badge, then go right to the
previous area. From there, go right to the following scene, then go north 2
scenes. Hit the block to get 1 Coin there, then continue up to the next scene.
Here, you'll find a whirlwind moving around. Jump into it to be brought to
another area. There, go right and stand in the middle of the formation of 3
palm trees, then jump to reveal a block containing the Runaway Pay Badge.

At this point, go up to the next scene. Here, hit the blocks you find to get
some Coins and a Honey Syrup. Then, continue up one scene, then right one.
There, go up and you'll find a Fire Flower hiding behind a cactus. Now, defeat
the enemies and head south for 2 scenes. There, hit all the blocks to get some
more Coins. Then, go south 2 more scenes to find a greener area. Here, defeat
some enemies and hit the block to get Coins, then check behind the bushes in
the lower-right corner of the area to find a Tasty Tonic. Then, go left and
into the next scene. Here, jump into the whirlwind and it'll take you to
another area. You'll land on the high ledge next to the Spin Attack Badge (you
passed by here a few moments ago, but couldn't jump high enough). Take the
badge, then drop to the ground. Go left and jump onto the higher ledge with the
block on it. Stand on the block and call out Kooper. Use his Shell Toss to
break the block in the air to the left, then pick up the Stop Watch that falls.
After that, go south 1 scene, then east 1 scene. When you arrive at the oasis,
go down and right to find a Super Block, which upgrades the power of one of
your partners. I recommend you use this one on Bombette since her new ability
is the most useful at this point in the game. After you finish with that, hit
the nearby Heart Block, as well as the 2 large trees in the area with your
Hammer to get a Lemon and a Lime. Then, go up to the next area. Here, go up and
hit the block to get a Coin, then jump on the block. Jump again to make a
hidden block appear and an item fall out. Grab the Life Shroom and go up to the
next area. There, go up and right to reach the Dry Dry Outpost.

Dry Dry Outpost
---------------

When you enter this desert village, go right and you'll see a mouse come out of
the shop and run away. Follow him by going all the way right to the second area
of town. There, continue all the way right to the last house in town. Talk to
the masked mouse in front of that house and give him the Lemon you found by
that oasis in the desert. He'll become happy and will let you ask him
something, so ask how to find Mr. Moustafa. He'll tell you to go to the shop in
town and buy a Dried Shroom, then a Dusty Hammer, in that order. After he's
done, head left to the next area and enter the shop. Buy those 2 items in the
right order and the shopkeeper will come and start talking to you. He'll tell
you how to find Moustafa as well. Now, exit the shop and save your game nearby.
Then, head right to the second half of town. Go all the way to the house Sheek
was standing in front of and enter it. Go right out the side and jump on the
crates to reach the roof. Then, go left across the roofs to the top of another
building. Grab the Letter hiding behind a pot, then continue left and jump
across the gap to another ledge. Enter that building and talk to Sheek inside.
He'll reveal that he is Moustafa, then he'll tell you how to reach the Dry Dry
Ruins. He'll also give you the Pulse Stone to find your way there. After
Moustafa finishes talking, leave the room and drop down to the lower area, then
go left to the next area. Continue left and save your game once again. Now,
continue left and leave the Dry Dry Outpost.

Dry Dry Desert
--------------

Back in the desert, head north until you can't go any further. At that point,
start going west. Keep going west through the desert until you reach an area
where there's a stone platform in the middle of the area. Go up to it and use
the Pulse Stone to cause the Dry Dry Ruins to emerge. After that, use the Heart
Block to the left of the ruins to recover. Then, go up and enter the ruins.

Dry Dry Ruins
-------------

When you enter the ruins, you'll hear a voice trying to scare you away. Ignore
it and continue to the right, then save your game and continue to the next
room. Go right and defeat the Pokey Mummies that come out of the caskets in the
background. Make sure you take the Spike Shield Badge inside the middle casket,
and equip it as soon as you get it. Then, go right and down the steps to the
next room. There, go right and grab the Ruins Key sitting on a ledge, then go
back to the previous room. This time, go up the steps and unlock the door, then
enter that room. Go right and step on the switch to drain the sand into the
room below. Now, leave this room and go down to the lower room you found the
Key in, then go right through the door you couldn't reach before to get to the
next room. You'll hear the voice again trying to scare you away, but don't let
that bother you. Go up and right along the path, then go up the steps to reach
the top of the room. Defeat the Buzzy Beetle, then walk up and have Parakarry
fly you right across to the ledge. Use Bombette to destroy the cracked wall,
then go right into the next room. Step on the switch to drain the sand to the
room below, revealing a Star Piece. Grab it, then leave the room and drop down
to the next level. From there, go right into the room where the sand drained
into. Collect the Ruins Key and leave the room, then go downstairs to the
bottom level and defeat another Buzzy Beetle. Next, go left and down the steps,
then unlock the door and enter the next room. Go all the way left and hit the
block to cause all the caskets to open and the door to close, leaving you to
fight 3 Pokey Mummies. Beat them, then grab the Key that appears and use it to
go left to the next room.

In this room, go up left and have Parakarry fly you across to the other side.
Then, continue into the next room. The voice will come back again, although
it'll mess up and hint at the fact there may be something important here.
Anyway, go left and up the steps to the next ledge, then hit the switch there.
Go right and up to another ledge, then hit the switch there to reposition the
stairs some more. Next, go left and up the steps to another ledge. There, just
go all the way left and down to a ledge with another switch. Hit it to move the
steps again, then go down to the ground level and go right. Go up the blue
steps, then continue left and up the red ones. Now, go left and walk down and
right along the wooden frame. When you reach the left wall, drop down onto the
lower wooden frame, then walk into the left wall to find a hidden room. Open
the chest to get the Slow Go Badge. Now, go back right and drop down into the
cell with a large chest. Open it to get the Super Hammer, which is capable of
destroying the gray stone blocks you've seen so far. With your new weapon,
destroy the stone block to the right and continue right out of this room. Have
Parakarry fly you back to the right, then continue into that room. Go right,
then up the red stairs to the higher ledge. Hit the switch to reposition the
steps, then drop down and go up the steps to reach another ledge. Destroy the
stone block and grab the Artifact you find. Now, go back down and continue
right to the next room. Go right up the steps and keep going right into the
following room. There, destroy another stone block and go up the steps and take
the Pyramid Stone. Defeat the Stone Chomp that falls off the wall to open the
door again, then exit the room. Continue left and down to the next room, then
keep going all the way left to the following room. Here, go down the steps and
have Bombette destroy the cracked wall to the left. Then, enter that new room.

In this room, drop down the shaft to the lower area, where you'll find another
Super Block. This time, use it to upgrade Parakarry's level. After that, use
Bombette to bomb the wall to the left, then go into that room. Go left and
destroy the stone block, then defeat the Stone Chomp that pops out of it. Then,
jump up to the higher platform and collect the Diamond Stone. Now, go back
right to the previous room. Keep going to the following room, then follow the
path right while defeating the Buzzy Beetles along the way. Continue into the
next room, then in that room, destroy the stone block in the corner to reveal a
switch. Step on it to make steps appear along the wall. Go up them and collect
the Ruins Key, then drop down and go left to the previous room. Go back down
the hallway to the next room. This time, use the trampoline to get up to the
high ledge again, then go right to the next room. Go around the stairs and
continue right to the following room. Just go all the way right and up the
steps, then unlock the door and continue into that room. Hit the switch at the
far side of the room to drain the sand, then take a look at the patterns on the
5 small statues in the background. Now, leave the room and go down the stairs
into the other room below. There, go right across the sand to the following
room. In that room, destroy the stone block and collect the Lunar Stone. Defeat
the Stone Chomp that falls on you, then go left out of this room. Continue to
the following room, then go up and left to find 5 large statues. Place the
Pyramid, Lunar, and Diamond Stones on the statues in the order shown in the
other room (Pyramid left, Diamond middle, Lunar right). After you do that, the
room will shake and stairs will appear leading downstairs. Go down the stairs,
making sure to hit the Heart Block along the way. When you reach the bottom, go
right into the next room.

Once more, you'll hear that annoying voice. Just ignore it like you've been
doing and save your game here. Then, continue right into the following room.
Here, you'll meet Tutankoopa himself and enter battle against him. Read the
Bosses section for help on winning here. After the fight, the Chomp will chase
Tutankoopa away, leaving the second Star Spirit, Mamar, for you to get. Take
the Star Spirit Card to end Chapter 2. Now is a good time to save your game,
too.

Princess Peach's Castle
-----------------------

The scene will open in the castle once again after you beat Chapter 2. Bowser
will be annoying the Princess in her room, and even hints at what he's sending
to attack Mario next. Then, Kammy Koopa will come in and give Bowser some bad
news. After they both leave, Twink and Peach will talk about trying to help
Mario figure out how to defeat the Invincible Tubba Blubba that Bowser was
referring to. When you gain control of her, check out the frame to the right of
the fireplace to reveal the hidden passageway. Go through the passage into the
next area. Go left down the hallway and hit the next switch on the rotating
platform to be brought into Bowser's room. Since there's nothing here to deal
with, go right and through the door to get outside. Twink will also warn you
not to get caught by the guards here. In the main area, go down and left into
the next room, which is the library. Get through this room while avoiding the
guards at all costs, then pick up the Power Rush Badge between the bookcases at
the end. Now, get back to the right and exit this room. Get across the main
room without being seen, then enter the room at the other side (the door closer
to the steps). Here, grab the Deep Focus Badge nearby, then check out the large
chest in the room. After that, put both badges in that chest and leave the
room. Go back across and into the library again. Getall the way through here to
the end, where you'll hear a conversation between two guards about Tubba Blubba
and his weak point. After that, they'll catch the Princess and take her to her
room, and Twink will fly away to find Mario.

Back outside of the Dry Dry Ruins, the second Star Spirit, Mamar, thanks Mario
for freeing her. She'll also boost his Star Level up to 2, and give him the
Lullaby ability. After she flies away, use the nearby Heart Block and take the
west path into the desert again.

Dry Dry Desert
--------------

When you go back into the Dry Dry Desert to the west of the ruins, continue
west until you can't go any further, then start heading south. Continue going
south through the desert until you reach the scene with Kolorado's campsite.
Talk to Kolorado and give him the Artifact you found in the ruins. You'll
receive a Star Piece in exchange for it. After that, take the path going west
to reach Mt. Rugged again.

Mt. Rugged
----------

When you enter this area again, start by hitting the nearby Heart Block and
saving your game. Then, continue left and up the hill to the next area. Here,
follow the zig-zag path up another couple of hills, then go left across the
bridge. Have Parakarry fly you across the gap to the other ledge, and then
continue on to the next area. Go left and down the steep hill to the bottom,
then keep on going west into the following area. As you've been doing, keep
moving to the west through this area while defeating the Monty Moles along the
way. Save your game when you reach the Save Block, then go to the next area.
Here, follow the path to the left and defeat the Monty Mole that pops out of
the ground. Then, continue along the path until you reach the following area.
Go left and use the Heart Block, then continue left and destroy the stone block
with your Hammer. Then, follow the new path to find a Super Block. Hit it and
choose to upgrade Kooper or Goombario (I'd prefer Kooper for now). After that's
done, go back to the right and continue down the hill to the train station.
Save your game once more if you like, then talk to the mushroom guy next to the
train and get ready to go back to Toad Town.

Toad Town
---------

After you arrive at the Toad Town station, go around and follow the path north
into the actual town area. As soon as you enter the area, go right and up into
the grass and talk to the plant in the ground. It'll give you another Magical
Seed for listening to it. Now, continue north through the next couple areas of
town, then go through the blue star gate at the north end. Follow the path up
and right past the site of the castle, then continue along the path towards the
Shooting Star Summit. When the path splits, take the lower path to Merluvlee's
House. Enter the house and check inside the large chest to retrieve the two
Badges Princess Peach dropped in the chest in the castle. Now, go upstairs and
trade Star Pieces for Badges with Merlon if you want. Otherwise, leave the
house and head all the way west and south into Toad Town again. When you get
there, go all the way south to the next area of town. There, go south a bit
more to just past the center of the area, then go left and down the pipe into
the Toad Town Tunnels.

Toad Town Tunnels
-----------------

When you get here again, go left and destroy the stone block in the wall with
the Hammer, then take that path into the next room. Go left and defeat the
Electro Blooper that appears (read the Bosses section for help). After you beat
it, hit the switch it leaves behind to make pipes appear from the 3 tiles in
the floor nearby. For now on, you can come here and use those pipes to quickly
access Dry Dry Outpost (the left one), Koopa Village (middle one), or Goomba
Village (the right one). Now, continue left and destroy the stone block, then
enter the next area. Hit the 3 blocks to get 2 Coins and a Snowman Doll. Then,
go left and ride one of the platforms up to the higher ledge. Jump off and go
left into the pipe to reach the next area. When you get here, continue left and
into the following room. Go left and defeat the Spiked Gloombas, then hit the
block to make the trampoline fall to the floor. Use the trampoline to reach the
higher ledge, then open the chest to get the Power Smash Badge. Now, go back
down and right to the previous room. Here, go right and jump onto the platform
in the air to weigh it down a little. When the second platform rises high
enough, quickly jump onto it, then onto the ledge. From there, continue right
into the next room. Here, go right and ride the platform to the higher ledge,
then have Parakarry fly you right across 2 gaps. Pick up the Star Piece on the
last ledge, then go back to the first ledge and ride the moving platform up
through the ceiling to another room. Go right and drop down into another room,
then go right and use the Super Block to upgrade the partner you didn't yet
upgrade.

After you're done there, go left and down the pipe to reach the next room. Drop
down to the floor and go left to the next room, then drop down to the ground
and head left. Go up the steps, then go up and right through the pipe to the
next room. From there, continue right through the next couple of rooms until
you reach the very first room of the Toad Town Tunnels. There, go up the pipe
to get out of here and enter Toad Town again.

Toad Town
---------

Back in the town, go east to the main path, then start going north. Go right
across the bridge and you'll hear someone screaming. Mario will automatically
move forward to see a guard scared because there's a ghost floating around.
Tell him you saw it as well, and the ghost will keep appearing, but Mario won't
be quick enough to see it. The ghost will go to the east, and the guard will
ask you to go to the forest and stop it. So, continue to the right into the
next area. When you enter this area, start by going to the right and saving
your game via the Save Block. Then, continue east and the ghost will appear and
talk to you. It'll tell you to head to the mansion at the end of the forest.
After it leaves, go east into Forever Forest to start Chapter 3!

========================================
Chapter 3: The "Invincible" Tubba Blubba
========================================

Forever Forest
--------------

When you enter this dark and creepy forest, head right and press A at the bar
in order to pass it. Follow the path right and you'll notice there are 3
flowers in the bushes across from each path. Continue until you pass the
flowers that shake, then go down and pass that bar (press A) and go to the next
area. In this area, a weird creature will start talking to you. After it stops
talking, talk to it some more. After it gives you a hint and leaves, go past
the bar and follow the path around. This time in the background, you'll notice
a tall tree with a black hole on top of it sitting in the inner section of the
path across from each different path. Walk around until you find the one with
the glowing red eyes, and take that path to the next area. Here, go right and
get past the bar, then follow the path around. Look for 4 flowers in a bush
across from one of the paths. When you find that particular bush, take the path
south of it to the next area. Here, go right and around the area like you have
been doing, but first, look for a path leading into the center of the area. Go
up that path and talk to the plant to get another Magical Seed. After that, go
back down to the round path and go past each of the 4 paths. Go past each path
and you'll notice a tall tree across from each one. Walk past each one until
you find the one that a red face appears on after you pass it, then take that
path to the next area.

In this next area, go right and around the path once again. This time, you'll
notice several small blue and purple bushes across from each path. Press A in
front of them and they'll light up. Look for the patch with just 3 of those
bushes, and when you press A by them, they stay lit longer than usual (it's the
one with 2 bushes in front and one in the back). Take that path to the next
area. There, go around and look for the path leading to the center of the area.
Take that path and hit the block in the air to get a HP Plus Badge. Now, get
back to the main path and look for the tree with a beehive on top of it. Take
that path back to the previous area. Then in that area again, look for the
patch where there are many of those small bushes. Take that path to another new
area. In this area, walk around and you'll notice a few flowers in the bushes
across from each path. Press A in front of each patch; when you find the patch
of flowers that don't disappear when you press A, take that path to the next
area. Here, go around and you'll see a signpost telling you to take that path
to Boo's Mansion. Before you go there, continue right to the path after that
one and press A by the rock across from the path. If a red face appears, take
that path into another area. Here, go up to the bushes straight ahead and press
A to make flowers come out. Then, go around and into the center, then hit the
block you find to get a FP Plus Badge. Now, go back down and find the bush with
the flowers, then take that path back to the previous area. Now, go around and
take the path in front of the signpost to reach Boo's Mansion.

Boo's Mansion
-------------

When you arrive here, go right and up and open the gate. Once inside, the ghost
will appear again and tell you to meet its master on the third floor of the
mansion. After it disappears, use the Heart Block and save your game, then
enter the mansion itself. Once inside, start by going up the stairs nearby to
the second floor. There, go all the way right to find a frame on the wall that
shakes. Talk to it and it'll agree to let you up to the third floor if you find
the picture to fit in the frame. So, enter the room to the left of the frame.
Here, check out the dresser to the left and many Boos will pop out and spin
around in the middle of the room. One Boo will appear in the center, holding a
Record. Watch it spin around above the other Boos and keep track of who is
holding the Record. After a few moments, hit the Boo holding it with your
Hammer to make them all disappear in shame. Take the Record and exit this room.
Now, go left and enter the other room on this floor. In this room, there is a
Boo guarding a chest in the corner, and it won't budge. So, check out the
old-fashioned phonograph in the opposite corner and play the Record on it.
Press A repeatedly, making sure the meter stays at the OK mark as much as
possible. When the Boo comes right next to the phonograph, press B to stop,
then run to the chest and open it to get the Weight. After the ghost
disappears, leave the room and go back downstairs. Here, go right to find a
couch. Jump on the brown cushion to be launched up to the chandelier. You'll
weigh the chandelier down to the ground, which opens up a hidden path. When you
reach the bottom, put the Weight on it to keep the path open. Now, go up and
through the door you just revealed to enter the next room.

In this room, go up and open the chest in front of you. It'll turn out to be
empty, but the chandelier will fall, almost crushing you. After it retracts, go
left and down the stairs to the lower level. From there, go south into the next
room. There's nothing here, so go through the door to the right to reach the
following room. As soon as you enter this room, the door will disappear behind
you. Go right and open the chest in the corner to release several Boos, which
hold the Super Boots. Play the guessing game like you did in the room with the
Record to win the Super Boots. Mario will now be able to use the Spin Jump,
which shakes the ground on impact and destroys weak floors! Press A after you
jump to execute that move. With your new ability, Spin Jump on the boxes in the
back of the room to get Maple Syrup. After you're done here, use your new move
on the patched up floor in the middle of the room to fall to the basement
level. There, go left and you'll notice there's a shop here run by the Boo. You
can't buy stuff from here yet, however. Anyway, step on the first small switch
to make a second one appear. Hit that one and a giant one will appear next to
it. Go right and jump onto the chair, then left onto the high ledge. From
there, jump onto the switch and Spin Jump it to make stairs leading upstairs
appear. Now, go up those stairs and Spin Jump on the boxes to find a Super
Shroom. Then, go through the north door to reach the next room.

Here, go left and up the stairs to the upper floor, then go around and out of
this room. In the main room again, go right and into the room you haven't yet
entered. In this room, go right and destroy the 3 boxes to get 2 Apples. Also,
go left and jump onto the box, then into the vase to become the original NES
Mario if you're feeling nostalgic. To revert back to your regular form, jump
into the vase again. After that, Spin Jump the weak part of the floor to fall
down into the room below. When you land, go up and have Parakarry fly you onto
the bookcase to the right. Grab Boo's Portrait, then fly back across to the
first bookcase you were on. Jump down and left onto a stack of crates and break
them to get a quick Star Piece. Now, switch to Bombette and have her destroy
the left wall. Then, go left into the next room. Here, go left and up the
stairs, then continue out to the main room. There, go up the stairs and head
right to the empty frame. Put Boo's Portrait there and it'll help you reach the
third floor like it said. Press A to jump into the frame, and you'll magically
appear on the upper floor! Now that you're there, go left and through either of
the doors into the next room. After you enter, you'll hear a creepy voice. Lady
Bow and the old ghost that was following you before will appear and talk to
you. They'll tell you about Tubba Blubba and how he's causing so many problems
for the Boos. Lady Bow will reward you with the Star Spirit that she has in the
mansion if you defeat Tubba Blubba. Finally, she'll decide to join your group.
With Bow in your group, go back and out of this room. Now, walk straight south
and drop to the ground level. There, talk to the Boo and it'll ask you to visit
the shop downstairs since Bow is in your group now. Go down there and buy some
better items, or sell your old stuff, then get back to the main room. From
there, exit Boo Mansion and save your game again. Then, take the east path into
Gusty Gulch.

Gusty Gulch
-----------

When you enter this new area, go right and Bow will have the ghostly guards
open the gate for you. After that, continue right into the next area. In this
area, head straight along the path while defeating the Hyper Paragoombas along
the way. Go past the windmill for now since it's locked, and go right into the
next area. Here, listen to the Boo that talks to you about Tubba Blubba. Then,
continue right and save your game at the Save Block. Talk to all the Boos you
come across for some quick information. Keep going right to the next area and
use the Heart Block there, and talk to some more Boos. Go right and they will
all panic and tell you to hide. Press C-Down when Bow tells you to in order to
become transparent, then you'll see Tubba Blubba appear and eat the Boo you
were talking to. After he leaves, continue right and up the hill into the next
area. Go right and hit the block to get 1 Coin, then defeat the Hyper Cleft.
You'll see a ledge with a Dizzy Dial on it, but you can't reach it, even via
Parakarry. Anyway, continue right and hit a couple more blocks to get 1 Coin
and some Repel Gel. Defeat the Hyper Goomba you see and go right some more to
find a Letter. Defeat another Hyper Cleft, then continue right to the next
area. Go right and up the path, defeating the enemies you come across. Go up
the hill when the path sort of splits, then have Parakarry fly you across to
the other side. Then, continue right and hit the 3 blocks to get some Coins and
a Super Shroom. Also, walk behind the rock in the background to get a Star
Piece. Now, continue up the hill to the next area. Here, go right and save your
game again. Then, continue right and enter Tubba Blubba's Castle.

Tubba Blubba's Castle
---------------------

When you enter this large castle, make sure you have Bow as your partner. In
this first room, there are guards patrolling the area, and if they catch you,
they'll escort you back outside. Head to the left side of the room, using Bow's
transparency ability when a guard spots you to make the guard lose interest.
Repeat that a few times until you get to the left side, then enter that room.
Go down the hallway and defeat the 2 Clubbas you come across. Enter the second
room you pass, then in that room, jump on the boxes and up to the table. Grab
the Star Piece, then defeat the Clubba on the ground and leave the room. Now,
go left into the following room. Here, defeat a couple more Clubbas and go left
through this room. Go up and enter the door in the uppper-left area of the
room. In the next room, go down the sets of stairs and defeat the Clubbas you
pass along the way. At the bottom, Spin Jump on the weak floor to fall through
to the room below. There, open the chest to the left to get a Castle Key. Walk
south and drop down to the lower area, then hit the Heart Block and talk to the
Boo to hear an important hint for later. Go left into the next room, and use
the Super Block there to upgrade Bow's powers. Then, go up one set of stairs
and you'll run into a floating guard. Let it grab you and escort you back
outside (doing this will save you some time). Go back inside and make your way
to the right side of the large room, using Bow's ability if a guard spots you.
Then, go right and enter the next room using the Castle Key.

In this room, go right through the room and go up the stairs at the end. Defeat
the Clubbas you come across, then go left along the upper level while turning
transparent when the guards spot you. Continue left and through the door into
the next room. Here, go left and defeat the first sleeping Clubba you see.
After you beat it, use Bombette to destroy the cracked wall, then enter that
room. Here, you'll find 3 patched up sections of the floor covered with wood.
Spin jump on the 2 upper ones (ignore the bottom-right one), then drop down the
right hole into the room below. Go left to the edge of the table you land on,
then have Parakarry fly you across to the other table. Grab the D-Down Jump
Badge, then drop to the ground and use the trampoline to reach the room above.
Now, exit this room and continue left through the hallway. Become transparent
if the floating guard sees you, then continue left and defeat the Clubba. Go up
and into the side room (not the large door to the left). Here, you'll notice
how spikes go up and down in the path leading around to the chest in the
corner. When the spikes go down, go around for a moment, then use Bow to become
transparent just before the spikes come up. When they go down, repeat the same
strategy. When you reach the chest, open it to get a Castle Key. Now, get back
across the room the same way and exit this room. There, go through the large
door to the left into the following room. Here, go around and you'll see a
clock against the wall. Push it to the left to reveal a hidden room. Enter the
room and go to the dresser in the corner. Open the bottom-rigth drawer and jump
onto it, then onto the other open drawer. Use Parakarry to fly across to the
bed, then jump onto the ledge at the end of the bed. Continue jumping up the
ledges and follow the path into a dark room containing the Mega Rush Badge. Go
back out of that room and drop down to the floor, then exit the room.

Now, go down and defeat the Clubba, then unlock the door and enter the next
room. Hit the nearby block to get some Maple Syrup, then go up the stairs and
enter the next room at the top. Here, go right and you'll see Tubba Blubba come
out of a room at the end of the hallway and start walking towards you. Head
right and if you see him come on your screen, have Bow make you transparent
until Tubba Blubba walks away. Make your way all the way to the end of the
hallway and enter the room that it came out of. In this room, there are many
Clubbas sleeping, guarding something at the other end of the room. Make your
way to the left and defeat all the guards along the way, then grab the Castle
Key on the platform at the end. Now, go back and exit this room, then unlock
the door to the right and enter that room. Here, use the Heart Block and the
Save Block, then continue into the following room. There, go all the way right
across the room and through the door at the other end into the next room. In
this room, go all the way right and you'll find a chest. Approach it and Tubba
Blubba will suddenly enter the room. He'll walk towards you, then jump on his
bed and sleep. Now, open the chest and a key will come out and talk to you.
After it talks, pick either Yes or No and it'll start screaming to alert Tubba
Blubba that it's being stolen! The giant creature will wake up, so take the key
and run out of the room. Go left and Tubba Blubba will come out of the room and
destroy the floor, sending you to the next floor down. You'll then enter the
room to the right. Follow the path all the way right and down the steps, then
back left and into the next room. Then, go left and down to exit the castle
(it's recommended you use the Spinning Dash to get out of the castle quickly).
Once outside, the Boos will help by holding the door shut for now. They'll then
tell you to run to the Windy Mill at the bottom of the hill. Now, save your
game and go left to the next area of Gusty Gulch.

Gusty Gulch
-----------

In this area again, head all the way west while defeating the enemies in your
way for quick experience. Continue through the next couple areas until you
reach the Heart Block. Hit that block, then continue to the next area. Go left
and talk to some of the Boos, then save your game at the Save Block. Continue
to the next area, then go to the Windy Mill and unlock the door using the
Mystical Key. Then, open the door and go inside the Windy Mill.

Windy Mill
----------

Inside the giant windmill, Spin Jump on the middle platform to fall down to a
lower room. When you land, go right and into another room. Go right and defeat
a Hyper Goomba, then continue down the hall to reach a sign that tells you not
to enter the room. Go into the next room, despite what it says. There, go right
and beat another Hyper Goomba, then continue into the following room. Defeat
one last Hyper Goomba and continue down the hallway, then enter that last room
(make sure Bow is your partner before entering this next room). Here, you'll
see a heart on a platform and it'll talk to you. After it explains its
function, you'll have to do battle with it. Read the Bosses section for help on
beating Tubba's Heart. After you beat it, the Heart will make a getaway. Run
back through the previous rooms and bounce on the trampoline at the end to get
back above ground. Exit the Windy Mill and you'll see the Heart and Tubba
Blubba reunite. You'll then have to fight Tubba Blubba, so read the Bosses
section for help on beating it as well. After you win, Tubba Blubba will spit
out all the Boos he ate, then cry and run away. After that, Bow will have her
butler give you the Star Spirit. So, grab the Star Spirit card to clear Chapter
3! You can now save your game as well.

Princess Peach's Castle
-----------------------

When the scene opens again, you'll be in Princess Peach's Castle once again.
Twink will be talking to her once again, wondering what happened to Mario.
After the conversation, open the hidden passageway again (check the frame to
the right of the fireplace and hit the switch) and enter it. Go down the hall
and hit the next switch to end up in Bowser's room. There, you'll hear Bowser
and Kammy Koopa arguing about what happened with Tubba Blubba. Bowser will see
Princess Peach standing there and start asking her what Mario really hates.
He'll give you a few options as well. Pick all the non-enemy options (Mushroom,
Thunder Rage, Super Soda), and Bowser will make sure there are so many of those
things that Mario can't avoid them in Shy Guy's Toy Box! After that, Peach will
be brought out by the guards and sent to her room again, with Twink following.

Meanwhile, outside of Windy Mill, the third Star Spirit known as Skolar will
thank you for saving it again. He will also raise your Star Level to 3, and
teach you the Star Storm ability. After a few more words, Skolar will float
back to Star Haven and you will gain control again. So, head left to the next
area. Keep going left and through the gate to enter the next area. There, go
left and south past Boo's Mansion, then go through the gate and follow the path
to Forever Forest.

Forever Forest
--------------

When you enter this creepy forest again, go left and press A to pass the bar.
Bow will complain about the bugs in the forest, but that's not a big problem
here. Go in either direction and none other than Jr. Troopa will appear. After
he taunts you, you'll enter battle against it, so read the Bosses section for
help on winning this time around. After you win, he'll run away like a coward
once again. Now, go around and take any path you want to the next area. If you
took one of the wrong paths (which you should have), you'll end up in an area
with a sign in front of you pointing south to Toad Town. Go back into the path
you came from and you should end up outside of the forest again. You'll see Jr.
Troopa happy to have escaped the forest, and he'll run away. Continue left and
save your game, then continue into Toad Town.

Toad Town
---------

When you enter Toad Town again, head left and talk to the guard, Fice T. Switch
to Parakarry, and give him a Letter to gain a Star Piece. Now, head across the
bridge. When you reach the other side, you'll hear someone screaming, then a
Shy Guy will run out of Tayce T's house with her Frying Pan! Head north to the
next area of town. Here, you'll see another Shy Guy stealing Rowf's Calculator.
Hit the Shy Guys running around in the flower garden to make them go away, then
continue north and talk to Merlon outside his house. He'll tell you about a red
palm tree in the Dry Dry Outpost, and how you should run around it a few times
(find that tree in the outpost and run around it 5 times; a guy nearby will
tell you to Spin Jump inside Merlon's house 3 times). After Merlon goes inside,
follow him into his house. Spin Jump on the floor inside 3 times to make the
Quick Change Badge fall from the attic. Take it, then leave Merlon's home. Go
west to the first area of town, and you'll see a Shy Guy run off with Russ T's
Dictionary. Continue towards Russ T's house, but go down the pipe outside to
head to Mario's House. There, defeat the Shy Guy pestering Luigi, then talk to
Luigi really quick. After that, go back to Toad Town via the pipe. From there,
head east to the next area of town. Go right to the intersection, then continue
south to the following area. Go south a bit more to the middle area, then take
the west path to the next area. When you enter this area, Twink will come down
and talk to you. He'll tell Mario that the next Star Spirit is in Shy Guy's Toy
Box, but he doesn't know exactly where. After Twink leaves, go left and enter
the Shop. A Shy Guy will run out with a Key of some sort. Talk to the
shopkeeper and stock up on healing items, then leave the shop and continue
west. Go down and talk to a group of Toads talking about how to find the Shy
Guy's hideout. They suggest checking in houses and becoming invisible, so start
by entering the house directly north of here. Once inside that abandoned house,
get Bow as your partner and become transparent. A Shy Guy will come in and
reveal the hideout, not knowing you're there watching. After it disappears into
the wall, check out the wall to enter a hidden room. Jump on the trampoline and
you'll bounce into the giant toy box, which starts Chapter 4!

================================
Chapter 4: Trials in the Toy Box
================================

Shy Guy's Toy Box
-----------------

As soon as you land inside of this giant area, save your game at the Save Block
nearby. Then, take the path down and left into the next area. Go left and
defeat a Shy Guy, then talk to the gray Anti Guy standing by the chest. Choose
to fight him (read the Bosses section for help), then open the chest after you
win to get the Power Plus Badge. I really recommend you remove the badges you
don't need to make space for this one, since it's REALLY useful! Go left and
defeat a Groove Guy, then continue into the next room. Here, go left and defeat
the Shy Guys running around with stolen items. Beat them all to gain 2 Cake
Mixes, a Fire Flower, a Mushroom, and the stolen Calculator. Now, go back right
and out of this room, and make your way back to the first room with the
trampoline. From there, go all the way right and take that path to the next
room. You'll see a scene where Kammy Koopa will drop one of the items Mario
"hates" in front of the chest up ahead. After she leaves, go right and defeat
the Shy Guy, then jump on the block against the wall in the corner. Spin Jump
it to bounce onto the higher ledge. From there, jump onto the next block and
Spin Jump it to bounce across the gap. Now, continue to the right and defeat
the Sky Guy that you see. Keep going and you'll see 3 large buildings. Enter
the middle one and jump up the steps to reach the roof. From there, go right
and jump to the other roof, then go right and drop down to the ground. Continue
right and grab the item Kammy dropped by the chest, then open the chest to get
the Storeroom Key. Now, go back left to the wall and Spin Jump on the block to
bounce onto the high wall. Then, continue all the way left through here and
back to the first room. There, jump on the trampoline to exit the toy box.

Toad Town
---------

When you come back out here, exit this house and go right to the shop. Enter it
and give the shopkeeper the Storeroom Key. As thanks, he'll let you take
whatever you want from the storeroom. So, go back there and take the Toy Train,
as well as the other 3 items if you want them. Now, leave the room and the shop
altogether. Go east to the next area of town, then go east and north to the
following area. Go up and left into Rowf's Badge Shop, and give him the
Calculator to get the I Spy Badge as a reward. Leave this place and go back
south and west to the abandoned house again. Go west and enter the house, then
go into the hidden room and press A next to the toy box. Drop the Toy Train
inside, then use the trampoline and jump into it yourself.

Shy Guy's Toy Box
-----------------

Back in the toy box, go right and up and talk to the mushroom guy standing on
the blue platform. He'll tell you that the train fell on the tracks and is now
able to run fully. At the bottom of the blue platform, there are 2 switches,
each pointing in a different direction. Step on the right one, then talk to
that guy again and you'll be taken to the Pink Station. When you arrive there,
go down and save your game to the left. Then, go all the way right and open the
chest to find the Mailbag. Now, go down and right into the next room. Here, go
right and defeat the Sky Guy, then continue to the wall and Spin Jump on the
block to reach the upper ledge. Go left and defeat another Sky Guy, then open
the chest at the end to get the Defend Plus Badge. Go all the way to the right
and Spin Jump on the box to bounce over the barrier and down to the lower area.
Go right a little more and you'll see a blue wall panel in the background. It
rotates when a Shy Guy on the other side comes through it. Wait for it to
rotate, then run through it into the back, then follow the path to the right.
Hit the block to get a Coin, then go around the barrier and open the chest to
get the Ice Power Badge. Continue right and pick up the item Kammy dropped
there for you, then open the chest to get the Frying Pan. Now, go back to the
left and around the path, then go through the revolving panel again. Go left
and Spin Jump on the block to jump over the wall, then continue left to the
next room. Here, go left and up to the train station. Hit the left switch and
talk to the mushroom guy to go back to Blue Station. When you arrive there, use
the trampoline and exit this place.

Toad Town
---------

Back outside again, exit this house and head all the way east to the next area
of town. Go right and enter Tayce T's house at the intersection. Give her the
Frying Pan, and she'll bake you a Cake as a reward. Leave her house and go
north to the next area. Follow the path up and enter the Post Office next to
the Toad House. Give the Mailbag to the guy behind the counter to get a Star
Piece in return. Now, leave this place and go back south to the next area. Go
south and west to the following area. Go all the way left and enter the
abandoned house, then go into the hidden room and jump into the toy box once
again.

Shy Guy's Toy Box
-----------------

Back inside the large toy box, go right to the station and get to the Pink
Station (hit the right switch). When you arrive there, go left and save your
game, then follow the path left into the next area. Head left and jump onto the
block formation, then hit the floating block at the top to get a Coin. Continue
left and defeat a Spy Guy, then go left into the next area. In this room, go
all the way left and you'll find a giant Shy Guy sitting on the tracks. Talk to
him, and he'll say he's called Gourmet Guy. Give him the Cake Tayce T. made you
and he'll become very hyper and runs away. Pick up the Cookbook he leaves
behind, then go up the path you can now access and take the left path. Behind
the large block, jump in the air to reveal a hidden block containing a Super
Soda. Now, take the right path and hit the 2 blocks to get 2 Coins. Also, jump
in the air between the two to reveal another hidden block with a Dizzy Dial.
Continue right into the next room, and in that room, continue to the right and
defeat the Groove Guy you see. Keep going and hit the blocks to get Coins, then
defeat the Pyro Guy you run into. Then, continue right into the next room.
There, check out the lever to make the track rotate around, giving you access
to the Green Station. Now, go back left through the previous rooms, then down
the path where Gourmet Guy was. From there, continue all the way east to the
large room with the Pink Station. Save your game and hit the right switch in
front of the station, then talk to the mushroom guy and head to Green Station.

Upon arrival at the Green Station, go down and save your game nearby. Then, hit
the 4 colored blocks from left to right to make Coins pop out of them. Now, go
right and down into the next area. Once again, you'll see Kammy Koopa placing
an item in front of a chest at the other end of the room. Anyway, head right
and Spin Dash along the conveyor belts to progress. Make Bow your partner and
become transparent to pass through the last wired fence at the end. Then,
defeat the Shy Guy and take the Mystery Note it was carrying. Now, go right and
hit the Start block to play the slot machine if you like. Then, continue to the
right and jump onto the giant blocks that move up and down. Get to the top of
the tall blue one in the upper-right corner, then use Parakarry to fly right
onto the next ledge. Go right and take the item Kammy dropped, and open the
chest to get the Dictionary. Now, go back left and across the rising and
falling platforms again. Continue left and down the steps, then use Bow and
become transparent to get through the fence. Continue across the conveyor belts
and into the next room. At the Green Station, hit the left switch and ride all
the way to the Blue Station. Once there, use the trampoline to exit the toy box
again.

Toad Town
---------

Back in the regular world, leave this house and head east all the way to the
next area. Continue east and north to the following area, then head west to the
first area of Toad Town. Go left and up and enter Russ T's house (the one
behind the pipe to Mario's place). Give him the Dictionary and he'll give you a
Star Piece as thanks. Also, give him the Mystery Note and he'll translate what
it says for you ("Hit yellow, green, red, and then blue."). After that, leave
the house and go back around Toad Town to reach the abandoned house again.
Enter the house and jump back into the toy box.

Shy Guy's Toy Box
-----------------

When you enter the toy box once again, go right to the Blue Station and hit the
right switch. Then, get on the train and ride it to the Green Station. Once
there, you'll see those 4 colored blocks down and to the right. Hit them in
this order: yellow, green red, and blue. Doing so will cause a wall to fall on
the hole in the track, allowing the train to reach the next station. Go up to
the Green Station and hit the right switch, then ride to the Red Station. When
you get there, go right and hit the Heart Block, then save your game. Then,
head down and left into the next room. Here, defeat the Pyro Guy to the left,
then go to the back wall and jump on the block. Jump onto the moving platform
and ride it upward, then jump onto the wall and left to a few platforms
spinning in a circle. Get to the left side and jump onto the next wall. Next,
drop down the left side to the ground, then go left and hit the blocks to get
some Coins. Jump in between the blocks to reveal a hidden one containing a Deep
Focus Badge. Now, go left and onto the block against the wall. Jump onto the
platform when it lowers and ride it up, then go over the wall and into the next
room. In this dark room, you'll hear a voice, then the Big Lantern Ghost will
walk towards you and fight you. Read the Bosses section for help on beating it.
After you win, the giant ghost will run away scared, leaving its lantern on the
floor. Go and talk to the lantern and it'll introduce itself as Watt. It wants
to escape the lantern, so hit it with the Hammer to free it. After a quick
conversation, Watt will join your party! Now, use its ability by pressing
C-Down to light up the room, then head right to exit this room. Back in this
room, jump on the moving platform and get onto the wall at the top. Then, go
right and jump onto the platform that goes even higher. Ride that one to its
peak, then use Parakarry to fly to the right ledge. There, hit the Super Block
and upgrade Watt's abilities right away!

Now, continue right through this room using the moving platforms to help you.
Jump over the last wall and go right into the next room. There, go right and
use the Heart/Save Blocks. Then, take the path down and right into the next
room. Upon entering this room, you'll see a Shy Guy run and jump over the high
wall to the right. Go right and use Bombette to destroy the cracked block, then
you'll see the huge squad of Shy Guys running away. Go right and you'll see a
large green block with a number 5 on it. Use Watt's power to reveal a hidden
block to the right of that, then hit it to get a Coin. Go back to the left of
the green block and Spin Jump on the small block to the left of it to bounce
onto the top of the green block. Go right and jump onto the block, then use
Kooper's Shell Toss to break the block to the right. Drop down and collect the
Shooting Star, then continue right. Defeat a Spy Guy and hit the block in the
corner to get a Sleepy Sheep. After that, continue right into the next room. In
this room, use Watt to illuminate the area, then go right. The Shy Guys that
ran away before will be against the wall with nowhere to run. They'll crash
through the wall and run into another room to get away. Follow them into that
last room. The Shy Guys and their leader, General Guy, will be there waiting
for you. After a brief talk, he'll send his troops after you. Read the Bosses
section for help on winning against General Guy and his army. After you win,
the Shy Guys will all run away and the 4th Star Spirit card will appear. Grab
the card and you'll finish Chapter 4! You may now save your game as well. The
next scene opens up in Princess Peach's Castle as usual.

Princess Peach's Castle
-----------------------

When the scene opens here, it'll show Peach and Twink talking again. Peach then
decides to try and sneak out to get help for Mario. So, go through that secret
passage to Bowser's room. From there, go right and out into the main area. Get
across to the lower-right area of the room without being seen by the guards,
then enter that room. There, you'll run into the giant Gourmet Guy. He'll keep
the fact Peach is out of her room if she cooks him something to eat. He'll also
give you the Castle Key to get down to the kitchen. So, leave this room and go
left to the locked door. Open it with the Castle Key, then go through it to get
downstairs. Go down the steps and head right to the wall without being seen. Go
up the steps to the side and enter the room you come across. You'll see the
dresser there shaking, so check it out and Toad will come out. He'll talk for a
moment before jumping back into the closet. After that, open the nearby chest
to get the Last Stand Badge, then leave the room. Go around and down to the
floor, then go back up the main stairs and up to the second floor. There, go
right and enter the rightmost room. There, put the badge you found in the giant
chest, then leave the room. Go back down to the first floor. There, go down the
stairs and hug the balcony and enter the room to the right of the main stairs
without the guard catching you. You are now in the kitchen, and Twink will help
Princess Peach cook the recipe (the ingredients are on the back table; follow
Twink's directions to make the cake). After you finish with it all, pick it up
and leave the room. You'll automatically end up in the dining room with Gourmet
Guy. After he eats the pie, he'll tell you about the next Star Spirit's
location, and about the creature guarding it. When Gourmey Guy leaves, Kammy
will come in and send the Princess back to her room.

Back outside in Toad Town, the Star Spirit Muskular thanks you for saving him.
He'll also raise your Star Power level to 4, and teach you the Chill Out
ability. After that, Twink will appear and he'll talk to Muskular really quick
out of respect. Muskular will leave, and Twink will give your the news about
the next Star Spirit. After he leaves, you'll have control again, so head east
to the next area of town. Go right and enter Tayce T's house, then give her the
Cookbook, which allows her to cook with 2 ingredients at once. After that,
leave the house and continue all the way north and through the blue gate.
Follow the path north and east, then continue east and take the south path to
Merluvlee's house. Open the large chest and take out the Last Stand Badge.
Then, go trade with Merlon if you want, otherwise leave the house and return to
Toad Town.

Toad Town
---------

When you get back into this town, head south all the way to the next area.
There, go down to the lone Toad standing there, then go left and down the pipe
into Toad Town Tunnels.

Toad Town Tunnels
-----------------

When you enter the tunnels this time, go left and Spin Jump the boarded up
section of floor to fall through to the area below. There, go left and into the
next room. Defeat the Dark Koopas here to make a switch fall from the ceiling.
Hit it to make a pipe come out, which acts as a shortcut to Boo's Mansion.
Since there isn't anything else further ahead of importance for now, head right
to the previous room. Go through the pipe back up to the entrance room, then go
right and in that pipe to exit the tunnels for now.

Toad Town
---------

Back here, go right and up, then back to the west along the path to the next
area of town. Head left through here like you're going into the abandoned house
again, but instead keep going to the following area. There, go left and down on
the docks and you'll find Kolorado standing there. Talk to him and he'll tell
you he wants to go to Lavalava Island, but can't figure out how to get there.
So, go right and onto the back of a whale, then Spin Jump on it. It'll surface
and complain about something in its belly. Help it by going inside of its
mouth. There, go right and into the next room. Use Watt to light up the room,
where you'll find a Fuzzipede bouncing around in the large area. Catch it and
you'll do battle against it. Beat it, and the whale will send all 3 of you out
of its stomach and onto the dock again. The Fuzzipede will leave and the whale
will repay the favor by taking you anywhere. Kolorado will ask you to accompany
him to Lavalava Island, and the whale will take you. Talk to the whale when
you're ready, and you'll be off to Chapter 5!

===========================================
Chapter 5: Hot Hot Times on Lavalava Island
===========================================

Lavalava Island Beach
---------------------

When you arrive on this island, Kolorado will run off to Mt. Lavalava, leaving
you to explore for now. Check out the thin plants nearby and they'll give you
Hearts to recover your health with. Then, head south and into the next area.
There, go right and you'll hear someone screaming for help. Hit the trees in
the background with your hammer to get some Coconuts, then jump onto the rock
formation and grab the Letter at the top. Get back down and defeat the Jungle
Fuzzy that's bothering Kolorado, then he'll run ahead to the next area. So,
follow him into the next area, which is Yoshi's Village.

Yoshi's Village
---------------

When you enter this village, head south and east on the dock to the next small
island. Continue right to the following one, then talk to the Village Leader
there (the green Yoshi). He'll give you a hint about where Mt. Lavalava is, but
he says it's difficult to reach it. Now, head right and into the next area of
the village. Talk to the Yoshis here if you want, and use the trampoline and
talk to the ravens atop the tree. Then go right and enter the shop and buy some
items if you want. Save your game nearby, then continue east to the next area.
Here, you'll hear Kolorado screaming again, so head right and defeat the Spear
Guy bothering him. Kolorado will run to the right, so follow him and you'll see
there's no way to enter the volcano just yet. For now, head back to the left,
making sure to check behind the large tree to find a Jammin' Jelly. Now,
continue west into the village again. Go left and you'll see the Yoshis in a
frenzy because the younger ones got lost in the jungle. Talk to Kolorado and
he'll suggest you help them before asking about the volcano. So, take the north
path into Jade Jungle.

Jade Jungle
-----------

In this area, go up and defeat the Hurt Plant pretending to be a Heart Plant,
then go to the bushes and press A to clear a path through them. Then, follow
the path up and right into the next area. You'll hear someone screaming when
you enter this area, so go right across the bridge and you'll look up to find
the fish that was watching the young Yoshis stuck there. Hit the tree 3 times
with your Hammer to make the fish come down, then talk to her (the name is
Sushie) and she'll join your party! With your new party member, go on the
wooden platform and press C-Down to swim around in the water. Use this time to
swim around and get used to swimming/diving on Sushie. Use this new skill and
make your way to the island in the northeast area of this place. Dock there and
grab the Star Piece, then hit the tree and grab the Letter that falls out. Now,
get back on Sushie and swim back south to the first dock you came from. From
there, go back left across the bridges and into the previous area. Here, go
left and swim to the middle island, then dock there. Defeat the Speak Guy and
hit the block to get the Power Quake Badge. Get back on Sushie and swim to the
left, then dive under the bridge and continue to the next area. Swim left and
dive under the next bridge, then continue all the way left and dock at the
middle island. Defeat the Spear Guy and head right and down across the bridges
to the island with the Super Block. Upgrade Sushie right away, then go back
around to the dock. Swim south to the other dock, then on that island, go north
and press A to get through the rows of bushes. Watch out for the M. Bush hiding
there. Check behind the bushes at the end to find the pink Yoshi. After that,
go back to the dock and swim north to the other dock. Jump onto the land there
and follow the path north across the bridge and into the next area. Here,
you'll see a Coin sitting on a plant nearby; do NOT take it because it's a trap
where you'll lose HP! Anyway, go north and press A at the line of bushes to
clear a path, then continue to the dock. From there, swim west to the other
dock and get off at that point. Go right and jump onto the spinning flower,
then press Z to float up to the higher ledge. Defeat the Spear Guy, then check
behind the bushes to reveal a pipe. Go down it and use Watt to light the room.
Go right and up the ledges to find the green Yoshi.

After the Yoshi runs home, exit this cave and go south, then drop down to the
lower area. Use Sushie and swim west into the next area. There, swim left onto
the dock, then go left and hit the stump with your Hammer to make a bridge
appear. Go across it and you'll find the blue Yoshi. Talk to it, then after it
leaves, head back east to the dock. Swim right to the previous area again.
There, swim all the way to the east to the second dock, then surface and walk
right into the next area. In this new area, go right and defeat the Spear Guy,
then hit the stump with the Hammer to make a bridge appear across the water.
Cross it and defeat the Hurt Plant at the other side, then continue east and
defeat the Jungle Fuzzy. From there, follow the path into the next area. As
soon as you enter the area, you'll hear a cry for help since the yellow Yoshi
is being trapped by a couple Putrid Piranhas. Defeat them, then the Yoshi will
run back home to the village. Follow suit and return to the previous area.
There, go left across the first bridge, then use the south dock and swim west
to another one. From there, head south into the next area. You'll hear the
sound of someone sleeping here. Go left and hit the tree with your Hammer to
make the bluish Yoshi fall out. After he leaves, your Yoshi-saving mission will
be complete! So, go south across the bridge, then hit the stump to form another
bridge. heading to the east. Go across it, then follow the path east into
Yoshi's Village again.

Yoshi's Village
---------------

When you arrive in the village again, everything will be calm and back to
normal again. Go down and right and visit the Toad House to recover, then save
your game. Now, go west into the next area of the village. Go down and west
across the bridge to where the Village Leader was earlier. So, head north and
across that bridge, then talk to the Village Leader. He'll give you the Jade
Raven, which you can use in the Jade Jungle. After a long talk, go back south
and east into the next area. There, go north and into the jungle again.

Jade Jungle
-----------

When you enter the jungle again, head west and across that log bridge. At the
other side, follow the path north and into the next area. Here, go up to the
dock and jump into the water with Sushie. Swim north and dive under the bridge,
then jump out at the dock to the north. Go up to the raven statue and use the
Jade Raven to open up the path behind it. Now, go north and into the new area
of the jungle. In this area, go right and defeat the Spear Guy you see. Then,
go up to the 2 large bushes to the left of the tree and press A to move them.
From there, continue up into the next area. Here, you will find several blue
blocks throughout this area, along with some holes in the ground. There is a
geyser coming out of one of the holes as well. Push a blue block onto the
geyser, which will make another geyser erupt from one of the other holes. Keep
covering the geysers until a giant rock in the background is moved by a geyser.
Push a block onto that one so you can pass it, then head north into the next
area. Here, you'll see a bunch of trees with a vine hanging from each one. Go
around and jump on the vines to get a Fire Flower, a Mushroom, and a couple
encounters with Jungle Fuzzies. Pull the vine on the second tree from the right
to reveal a path to the next area. So, follow that path ahead into a new area.
Here, use the Heart Plants to recover your health, then head right and you'll
hear someone screaming. Continue right to find 3 Putrid Piranhas standing
guard. Go up to them and you'll enter battle against them, along with a W
Magikoopa. Defeat them all, then continue right into the next area. In this
next area, you'll be at the bottom of a giant tree. Go right and enter the cave
at the bottom of it. There, save your game, then start jumping up the ledges
along the walls of the tree. Go all the way to the top, then exit the tree to
reach the next area at the top. Follow the path right and up around the tree,
and you'll see another cave you can enter. Continue up to the end and grab the
Happy Heart Badge, then go back and enter that cave you passed. Go up the steps
to the very top, then go right into the following area. There, go right and
talk to the giant raven sitting in its nest.

The giant raven will introduce itself as Raphael the Raven, and he'll help you
reach the volcano. He'll call the other small ravens to help, then they'll all
jump down into the jungle, so go off the ledge and follow them. Talk to Raphael
when you land and he'll move a root of the tree out of the way. Then, follow
the giant bird into the next area. Go right and talk to him once more and the
ravens will start to help you. They'll build a lift in the tree, which will
allow you to reach the volcano easily. Kolorado will also come by to see what's
going on. After they're done, Kolorado will move on ahead into the volcano, and
Raphael will give you the Ultra Stone, which gives you the ability to Ultra
Rank your party members when you come across a Super Block. After the birds
leave, jump into the lift to the top, then go right to the end of the branch.
Jump onto the rope and you'll slide down and right to the ledge in front of the
volcano. Use the Heart Block and continue ahead into the volcanic Mt. Lavalava.

Mt. Lavalava
------------

When you enter this volcano, start by heading right along the path. A Putrid
Piranha will come out and spot you, then it'll disappear. So, continue into the
next area where you will find Kolorado again. He'll try to jump across the
rocks, but will sink into the lava and get burnt. Before you continue, it's
highly recommended you put on the Ice Power Badge if you haven't already. Head
right and jump across the rocks in the lava before they sink. On the large
platform, wait until the small moving platform to the right comes near, then
jump on it and ride to the other side of the room. Defeat the Lava Bubble on
the next platform, then continue by jumping across the rocks in the lava. At
the end, just continue into the following room. In this room, jump on the rope
and slide down to the end. Once there, continue right into the next room. Here,
go right along the path while jumping over the fire walls that are spinning
around. Hit the Super Block at the end and you'll be able to Ultra Rank one of
your partners (since you haven't gained new ones yet, and your current ones all
have Super Rank already). Upgrade Sushie right now, then go back left to the
previous room. Here, go left and jump onto the block at the edge of the
platform. Use Kooper's Shell Toss ability to hit the block in the air to the
left, causing the POW Block to fall to the ground. Drop down and get it, then
defeat the Spike Tops spinning around. Then, follow the path down and left past
the trampoline, then continue right and down to the Save Block. Save, then jump
onto the rope to the left and start sliding downward. Along the way, there's a
ledge you can jump off the rope and land on to collect a badge. Ride the rope
until you pass under the second step that is above you, then press A to jump
off and you should land on that ledge. Collect the Fire Shield Badge (equip
this one ASAP), then drop down to the lower area and defeat a Spike Top. Defeat
a Putrid Piranha to the right, then head left into the next area.

Here, just follow the path all the way down and into the following area. In the
next room, go up onto the higher ledge and use Watt to reveal a hidden block.
Hit it and get the Life Shroom, then go left and have Parakarry fly you over
the lava. There, push the blue blocks to the right, starting with the rightmost
one, so they form a line across the lava. Doing so will also cause the flow to
slow down, which will give you access to the lower area of the room. Go back
right and down to the lower area. From there, go left and have Parakarry fly
you across the lava river again, then continue into the next room. Here, go
directly to the left and push the first block into the lava. Then, push the
other block across that one to form a type of bridge. Stand on that bridge you
formed and ues Parakarry to fly to the other side, then go up the path and open
the chest to get the Ultra Hammer! Now you'll be able to destroy the metal
blocks, and your Hammer power is stronger as well. Go right and destroy that
metal block, then exit this room. Go left and have Parakarry fly you across the
lava river again. At the other side, go right and take the path going
downstairs, then destroy the metal block and enter that room. Go right and fly
across the lava here as well, then jump up the ledges and open the chest on the
high ledge to get the Dizzy Stomp Badge. Now, go back left across the lava and
into the previous room. Go up and right into the following room, then go all
the way up the hill into the room after that. In this room, go all the way to
the right and jump onto the trampoline to reach the upper areas of the room
again. Talk to Kolorado, then break the metal block and he'll become happy.
Save your game, then enter the next room. Go right and Kolorado will come in
and jump off the ledge to land far below. Anyway, jump on the rope and start
sliding to the right. When you pass through the ray of light on the wall, press
A to jump off, and you should land on a ledge with a Super Block below. Upgrade
one of your other party members here, although I recommend you do either Bow or
Watt for now. After that, drop down and go left to find Kolorado on the floor,
then leave this room. Bounce on the trampoline nearby to get back up, then save
again and enter the room to the right. From there, slide down all the way to
the end and continue into the next room.

Here, go right and a giant spiked rock will start rolling down the hill to
chase you. Head down and right as fast as you can to the following room, where
you'll be safe. In the next room, jump right onto the moving platform when it
comes near, then jump off at the other side. Go right past the spinning fire
bars and defeat the Lava Bubbles along the way. At the end, wait for the moving
platform to appear while jumping over the fire bar when it spins toward you.
Jump onto the platform and ride it to the other side, then jump off and enter
the next room. Here, go right and defeat the Spike Top and Putrid Piranhas,
then go right to the bottom of the hill in the background. Follow the path all
the way right, then Kolorado will run up to you again. After that, push the
blue block all the way back to the left as far as it'll go. At that point, jump
onto the block and onto the higher ledge, then go up the hill, destroying the
metal blocks in your way. After you destroy the last block, the spiked round
thing will start rolling, so run down the hill and get out of the way. It'll
come down the path and crush Kolorado, then make a hole in the wall to the
right. Now, head right and into the next room. There, go right and Kolorado
will come out once again, running ahead into another room which wasn't explored
yet by you. Follow him into the next room, then hit the 2 blocks there to get a
Super Shroom and Maple Syrup. Go back to the previous room and hit the Heart
Block, then go down and left along the lower path. At the bottom, save your
game, then head all the way right into the next room. Before you continue, make
sure that Sushie is your current partner. Then, continue through this room and
the Lava Piranha will come out of a pool of lava at the other end of the room.
You'll then enter battle against it, so read the Bosses section for help on
winning. After you beat it, Kolorado will run ahead and the Star Spirit card
will come out for you to take. Grab the card and you'll free Misstar, the fifth
Star Spirit, ending Chapter 5!

Although you found the Star Spirit, the adventure in the volcano hasn't ended
yet! A rumbling will occur and the place will start to shake, then Misstar will
rush to the next room, for you to follow her. Go into the next room and jump up
the steps to the top platform, then Kolorado will whine about finding treasure,
but will realize he can't go back since the lava is rising. Use Bombette to
blow open the cracked wall, then continue into the next room. Go right and up
the steps quickly, then you'll see Kolorado trying to reach a chest on a high
ledge. Misstar will pull him, along with you and your partner, out of the
volcano just as it starts erupting. The treasure will be sent into the Jade
Jungle as well. You may now save your game.

Princess Peach's Castle
-----------------------

When the scene opens inside the castle again, the Princess will be planning to
sneak out again with Twink. So, sneak out of the room through the hidden
passageway. When you get to Bowser's room, go right and exit to reach the main
area of the second floor. From there, go south and through the middle door to
get downstairs to the first floor. There, go down the main staircase and
without being seen by the guards, go to the left side of the room and into the
room there. You'll run into a guard in that room, and before he tries bringing
you away, a Hammer Bro will come and suggest the guard asks Peach to take part
in their little quiz game. They'll bring her to the set to the left, and the
game will start. The object is to answer the 10 questions being asked to win.
Scroll down to the Secrets/Tips and Tricks section of the guide to find a list
of those Q&A's. Also, you must buzz in (press A) quickly in order to get a
chance to answer it, so be ready. After the 10 questions are up, the winner
will be decided (which should be Peach if you answered the majority of the
questions correctly). You'll win a Jammin' Jelly, and the host will give you
the Sneaky Parasol. At that point, King Bowser will come in and catch Princess
Peach again, then order the guards to bring her back to her room.

Back outside of Mt. Lavalava, Kolorado will be moping around because of the
treasure he couldn't get. Misstar will scold him, then award Mario with a new
Star Power, Smooch, as well as boost the Star Meter to level 5! After she
leaves, follow Kolorado west all the way into Yoshi's Village again.

Yoshi's Village
---------------

In the village again, head to the left and save your game. Then, continue
towards the Yoshi kids standing around, then follow the path north into Jade
Jungle.

Jade Jungle
-----------

When you enter this jungle once again, go up to the line of bushes and press A
to clear a path through them. Continue up and right into the next area. There,
go right across the bridge and you'll find the treasure chest blown out of the
volcano. Open it to find the Volcano Vase. Now, go back west to the previous
area, then go south into the village again.

Yoshi's Village
---------------

In the village, go down and talk to Kolorado. Give him the Volcano Vase and
he'll become happy and give you the Magical Seed as thanks. He'll then run off,
ready to go back to Toad Town. So, go down and left to the next area. Make your
way to the other side of this area, then go north to exit the village
completely.

Lavalava Island Beach
---------------------

Back on the beach of this island, go west and defeat the Jungle Fuzzies you
come across. Continue into the next area, then go up and talk to the whale and
choose to go back to Toad Town again. After you guys board the whale, the
annoying Jr. Troopa will swim onto the shore and wants to do battle with you.
By the time he turns around, you are long gone!

Toad Town
---------

When you, your partner, and Kolorado arrive in Toad Town, Kolorado will run on
home to Koopa Village. Meanwhile, Jr. Troopa will catch up to you and want to
do battle. Read the Bosses section for help on winning against him. After you
win, go north and save your game, then continue east to the next area of town.
There, just continue all the way east along the path into the following area.
Go right some more, then down and left into Toad Town Tunnels.

Toad Town Tunnels
-----------------

This time, you have ALOT to do when visiting these underground tunnels! Start
by going left into the next room. Run through this room to the following room,
then in that room, go left and ride the moving platform up to the higher ledge.
From there, continue into the next room. Here, go right and drop down to the
lower area, then go right and down the pipe to the next room. Go right and
destroy the metal block, then go up the steps and hit the Super Block. Choose
to upgrade one of your other party members right now to Ultra Rank (I did Bow
here). After you're done there, it's time to backtrack a bit. Go back through
the tunnels the same way you came, all the way to the very first room you
entered. When you get there, drop through the hole in the floor to reach the
next room. There, go left into the next room. In that room, continue all the
way left into the following room. Here, use Watt to reveal the 3 hidden blocks
in the air in the room. You'll notice that there is a blue block on the floor.
Remember where the hidden ones were and push the blue block under each one,
then jump onto the block and into the air to reveal it. Do that for all 3
blocks, then go right and up the steps, and jump across the blocks to the other
side. There, use the Super Block and upgrade another party member (this time,
I'd say Parakarry). After that, backtrack to the right a couple rooms to the
room you fell into from above. There, go right and use Sushie to jump in the
water from the dock. Once at the other side, the Super Blooper will appear and
attack. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating it. After you win, hit
the switch that appears to make a pipe come out of the floor, which will warp
you to Yoshi's Village if you go down it. Now, go right and into the next room.

In this room, go right and defeat the Dark Koopas you come across. Continue
right and into the next room. There, go down the steps and head right across
the room, then go down the pipe into the room below. Have Bombette destroy the
wall to the right, then enter that hidden room. Here, you'll meet Rip Cheato, a
guy who sells you stuff for 64 Coins apiece, without telling you what you'll
get until you pay. Check out the Secrets section for a list of what items you
get in what order. Do what you want here, then go right and into the pipe to
emerge in Toad Town again.

Toad Town
---------

When you get back here, you'll be inside a house with a locked door. Grab the
Odd Key from behind a box, then unlock the door and go outside. There, go east
and north to the next area of town. As soon as you enter this area, go right
into the Flower Garden and talk to Minh T. Give her each of the 4 Magical
Seeds, and she'll plant each of them. After she plants them all, a magical
doorway will appear in the middle of the garden leading to Flower Fields. When
you're ready, go through the door and into Chapter 6!

=====================================
Chapter 6: Dark Days in Flower Fields
=====================================

Flower Fields
-------------

When you enter this colorful field of nothing but flowers, the giant tree you
came out of will talk to you. It'll tell you about Huff N. Puff and how he's
causing trouble in the Flower Fields. He'll direct you to find Petunia in the
east to get a Magical Bean to reach Cloud Climb. After you're done here, go
right and save your game.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Bandit
    HP: 5
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: These guys will try to steal your Coins when attacking you. You can
take back the Coins by attacking them in battle. However, if you
fail to attack them in one round after they steal from you, they'll
run away and you lose that money.

Bill Blaster
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 0
    Defense Power: 1
Note: Although this cannon enemy won't directly hurt you, it'll shoot out
a Bullet Bill to attack you instead. Also, Jump attacks won't hurt
          because of its strong shell.

Blooper Baby
    HP: 6
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0

Bob-omb
    HP: 3
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Beware when attacking this enemy because if you don't kill it in a
single hit, it'll charge at you and explode, causing some damage to
          you.

Bullet Bill
    HP: 2
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This enemy fights in a kamikaze-type style, where if you don't
defeat it in your turn, it'll crash into you, killing itself and
          causing damage to you.

Buzzy Beetle
    HP: 3
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 2
Note: Use a Jump attack to flip it over, then attack as normal to cause
          damage.

Chomp
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 3

Cleft
    HP: 2
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 2
Note: Don't use any Jump attacks on this creature because if you do, it'll
          cause damage to you only.

Clubba
    HP: 8
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: These guards are found in Tubba Blubba's Castle sleeping. If you run
past, they will wake up and attack, so move slowly to avoid battle.

Dark Koopa
    HP: 8
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 2
Note: You can flip this enemy on its back by Jumping on it, which will
lower its defense drastiaclly. Also, be careful because it'll try to
make Mario dizzy with its attacks.

Forest Fuzzy
    HP: 6
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: When they attack you, they'll gain however much HP they take from
you. Also, if you don't destroy it quickly enough, it'll split into
two, giving you that much more to fight.

Fuzzipede
    HP: 20
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: When attacked, this creature hangs from the ceiling, making it hard
to attack it. Use airborne projectiles to attack this creature and
          knock it down.

Fuzzy
    HP: 3
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 1

Gloomba
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0

Goomba
    HP: 2
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0

Groove Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0

Hurt Plant
    HP: 8
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Sometimes when this enemy attacks, it'll poison you, so beware.

Hyper Cleft
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 3
Note: Here's the stronger version of the Cleft. It has much stronger
defense this time, but you can flip it over using Bombette's
explosion attacks, which will lower its defense drastiaclly. Also,
watch out when it glows because it'll take 8 HP when it attacks
          while glowing!

Hyper Goomba
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Basically a stronger version of the Goomba. Watch out when it starts
glowing, because it's charging up for a really powerful attack
          against you!

Hyper Paragoomba
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This creature is basically a Paragoomba with more HP. As always, use
an air attack to make it become a regular Hyper Goomba. Also, watch
out for when it charges up because it'll REALLY hurt when it
          attacks!

Jungle Fuzzy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Instead of just taking 1 HP and falling off of you, they stay
attached to you. You must press A repeatedly to make it fall off.

Koopa Troopa
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 1
Note: Flip them on their backsides by using a Jump attack, causing their
          defense to lower drastically.

Lava Bubble
    HP: 9
    Attack Power: 4
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This guy has a habit of attacking your partner, causing them to be
unable to attack for a few rounds. Since it's a fireball, it's
recommended you use water-based attacks to hurt it.

M. Bush
    HP: 8
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Outside battle, this creature pretends to be a regular bush until
you try checking it out. Also, its attacks poison you, so be
          careful.

Medi Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: When you attack other enemies in battle, this guy will heal it. It's
best to take out this enemy first if you're fighting a group for
          that reason alone.

Monty Mole
    HP: 3
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0

Paragloomba
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Attack this enemy with a Jump attack and it'll lose its wings,
turning it back into a normal Gloomba.

Paragoomba
    HP: 2
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Attack this guy with a Jump attack and it'll lose its wings, turning
          it into a regular Goomba.

Paratroopa
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 1
Note: When attacked with a Jump attack, it'll become just a regular Koopa
Troopa. At that point, defeat it like you would a Koopa Troopa.

Piranha Plant
    HP: 5
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Because of its teeth, you can't use Jump attacks on this creature.
Doing so will cause you damage instead.

Pokey
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Don't use any Jump attacks on this cactus, otherwise you'll get hurt
          by doing so.

Pokey Mummy
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This one is to be dealt with just like the regular Pokey, but
beware. You may be poisoned when it attacks you!

Putrid Piranha
    HP: 12
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: When it attacks, it may poison Mario, so be prepared for such an
          attack.

Pyro Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 4
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This guy is totally engulfed in flames, making physical contact with
it a hazard on your behalf. Attack it with water-based attacks or
projectiles to cause damage from a distance.

Shy Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0

Shy Squad
    HP: 15
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This is a group of 15 Shy Guys attacking you here. Each one can only
take 1 HP of damage before it's defeated, and when they attack, each
one will take 1 HP away from you. So beware when you fight this
          phase of General Guy's army.

Shy Stack
    HP: 10
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This is a stack of 4 Shy Guys on top of each other. If you have the
Spin Hammer Badge equipped, you can use that attack to knock them
          apart one by one.

Sky Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This enemy floats in the air with a balloon. Attack the balloon to
make it fall, turning it into a regular Shy Guy.

Spear Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: If they have their spears pointed towards you and Mario uses his
Hammer, he'll get hurt. Also, when their spears are pointed upward,
Jump attacks will hurt Mario instead. It'll also throw its spear at
you; when it does that, it'll become just a regular Shy Guy.

Spike Top
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 4
Note: This creature has VERY high defense, plus it has a spike on its
back, so most attacks won't do anything to it. Use a strong attack
          to actually cause damage.

Spiked Gloomba
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Don't use any Jump attacks on this creature because if you do, it'll
          cause damage to you only.

Spiked Goomba
    HP: 2
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: Don't use any Jump attacks on this creature because if you do, it'll
          cause damage to you only.

Spy Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This guy can be quite dangerous for you when you fight it. Each time
you attack it, it'll change its weapon. If it hits Mario with its
hammer, Mario will be unable to use one of his commands for a few
          rounds of battle.

Stilt Guy
    HP: 7
    Attack Power: 4
    Defense Power: 0
Note: These are just regular Shy Guys on stilts. Use a Jump attack or an
earth-shaking attack to make them fall down and become regular Shy
          Guys again.

Stone Chomp
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 1
Note: This enemy is totally made of stone, so most attacks won't hurt it.
Use the Super Hammer to cause some serious damage to it, though.

Swooper
    HP: 4
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 0
Note: This bat hangs from the ceiling, so not many attacks can hit it.
However, Parakarry's attacks, as well as earth-shaking attacks, can
          hurt it.

W Magikoopa
    HP: 11
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Note: When you encounter it in battle, it has the ability to recover the
HP of itself and other enemies on the screen. That's why it's best
to take out this guy first in a group.

Jr. Troopa (First Fight)
    Found: Jr. Troopa's Playground
    HP: 5
    Star Points: 20
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: This guy isn't really too tough for you to defeat. Just Jump or
use the Hammer to attack. Don't worry about its attacks towards
you since they aren't too strong. Just keep on fighting until
              you defeat it.

Red Goomba/Blue Goomba
    Found: Goomba Road
    HP: 7 (Red), 6 (Blue)
    Star Points: 20
    Attack Power: 1 (Both)
    Defense Power: 0 (Both)
Strategy: Despite the fact that these two have more HP than previous
Enemies you've fought, they're still pretty easy. Just use lots
of jump and hammer attacks, concentrating on beating one at a
time. If you run low on health, use a Mushroom. Otherwise, keep
              attacking until you win!

Goomba King/Red Goomba/Blue Goomba
    Found: King Goomba's Fortress
    HP: 10 (King), 2 (Red), 2 (Blue)
    Star Points: 30
    Attack Power: 1 (All)
    Defense Power: 0 (All)
Strategy: The battle against the King of the Goombas, as well as its two
cronies, isn't really that big of a deal. Start off by using
Jump attacks and Goombario's Headbonk attack to defeat the Red
and Blue Goombas early on. After you defeat both of them,
concentrate on defeating Goomba King. To cause lots of damage
when it's your turn to attack, aim your attack at the Goomnut
Tree (the part of the tree with the bandage to the left of the
boss). It'll drop a giant nut on the boss, causing a good amount
of damage. After that, just keep on using regular attacks and
such until you win the battle.

Magikoopa
    Found: Outside Shooting Star Summit
    HP: 8
    Star Points: 15
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: Well, this guy is a bit tougher than previous enemies, but he
still isn't too much to worry about. Now is also a good time to
start using those timed attacks Twink taught you minutes
earlier! Attack Magikoopa a few times to knock him off his
broom. Watch out because his magic attacks are pretty strong and
can hurt quite a bit. Just keep on attacking this guy until you
              win.

Chan
    Found: Dojo in Toad Town
    HP: 15
    Star Points: N/A
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 2
Strategy: This guy is your first opponent in the Dojo, and he is such a
pushover! Have Mario Jump on him to flip him upside-down, then
have Goombario attack on his turn. Repeat that process several
times while using the timed attacks until you win this fight.

Lee
    Found: Dojo in Toad Town
    HP: 20
    Star Points: N/A
    Attack Power: N/A
    Defense Power: N/A
Strategy: Being the second boss in the lineup at the Dojo, Lee isn't too
tough, either. His main move is to morph into a duplicate of
Goombario, which isn't that big of a deal. Use timed attacks to
hurt this guy while healing when and if it's necessary. Keep up
a steady attack pattern and this guy will be history very
              quickly.

Bowser???
    Found: Koopa Bros. Fortress
    HP: 10
    Star Points: N/A
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 1
Strategy: This giant imposter of King Bowser isn't too tough at all. It's
invincible to jump attacks, but you can just hit it with lots of
Hammer attacks instead. Just use lots of attacks until you
              destroy this simple creation.

Koopa Bros.
    Found: Koopa Bros. Fortress
    HP: 5 (per Koopa Bro)
    Star Points: 30
    Attack Power: 1
    Defense Power: 1
Strategy: You fight these guys directly after defeating the fake Bowser.
They start off all standing on top of each other like a tower,
then they'll do their spinning attack, which'll take a good
amount of HP from you. Have Bombette use her Bomb attack to
knock them all down, then while they're flipped over, use
regular attacks and POW Blocks (if you have any). Also, you
should switch Bombette with Kooper so you can hit these guys all
at once. Repeat the above pattern a few times until you defeat
all 4 of the Koopa Bros.

Jr. Troopa (2nd Fight)
    Found: Pleasant Path
    HP: 15
    Star Points: 20
    Attack Power: 2
    Defense Power: 1
Strategy: This time when you fight Jr. Troppa, he has a new move, which is
hiding inside of its egg to protect itself from attacks. This
guy shouldn't be a big deal though. Just use Hammer attacks, and
have Bombette use her Bomb move to cause serious damage as well.
Heal when needed, and keep on attacking until you win.

Blooper (First Fight)
    Found: Toad Town Tunnels
    HP: 30
    Star Points: 20
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: This is the weakest Blooper you'll come across in the Toad Town
Tunnels, and it really isn't too hard of a battle if you have
the right badges equipped. If you have the Power Bounce Badge,
you can easily make quick work of this guy. Just keep on using
Power Bounces and using Refresh every now and then to recover
some HP and FP. Repeat the above process until you beat this
              guy.

Buzzar
    Found: Mt. Rugged
    HP: 40
    Star Points: 15
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: Well, this giant bird isn't too tough, although the battle can
be a bit lengthy if not properly prepared. Also, your Hammer is
useless here, so you're going to rely on Jump attacks for the
whole fight. If you have the Power Bounce Badge equipped, use
the Power Bounce while using the action command to score
multiple hits. When Buzzar attacks, sometimes the screen will
tell you to press A repeatedly to get away or to reduce the blow
of its attack. Press A rapidly to get out, then continue your
attack while recovering HP/FP if needed until you win.

Tutankoopa
    Found: Dry Dry Ruins
    HP: 30
    Star Points: 24
    Attack Power: 3
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: This guy is the hardest boss I've fought so far in this game. To
start, he'll call out a Chomp to stay on the ground and attack
you. Ignore it if you want, and concentrate on using Jump
attacks on Tutankoopa. Also, have Parakarry attack Tutankoopa
since his attacks will reach. Tutankoopa will throw shells at
you and cast spells to try and cause damage to you. Just keep
your HP and FP high and keep on attacking him. Eventually, one
of Tutankoopa's spells will backfire and he'll fall to the
ground, dazed. There's your chance to continue attacking him
until you defeat him for good. Keep in mind that when you beat
Tutankoopa, the Chomp disappears as well.

Electro Blooper
    Found: Toad Town Tunnels
    HP: 50
    Star Points: 20
    Attack Power: 4
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: This Blooper is electrically charged, and much more powerful
than the first one you fought earlier in the game. Attack this
creature normally until it starts surrounding itself with
electricity, then just avoid contact with it until it stops. Use
that time to heal your group and get ready for another attack.
It's recommended you have Parakarry in your group for this
battle since his Shell Shot attack will really come in handy.
Also, have Mario use the Power Bounce to attack since that'll
really help this battle go by a bit quicker. Continue the above
strategy until you beat this creature.

Tubba's Heart
    Found: Windy Mill
    HP: 50
    Star Points: N/A
    Attack Power: 6
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: This is seriously an easy battle, despite the high amount of HP
this thing has. It's also HIGHLY recommended you have Bow as
your partner for this fight as well. Have Mario use Jump
attacks, while Bow slaps around the Heart. When it charges up
for a major attack, have Bow use Outta Sight on Mario to keep
him from getting hit by that attack. After the huge attack
passes, resume the regular attack pattern. Keep your HP and FP
high in case the Heart's attacks get the best of you. Otherwise,
keep on hitting it with attacks until it runs away.

Tubba Blubba
    Found: Outside Windy Mill
    HP: 10
    Star Points: 30
    Attack Power: 4
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: Fighting the giant creature is one of the easiest fights in the
game! It has VERY low amounts of HP, and its attacks won't do
too much harm to you, either. Have Mario and Bow attack this
creature until it's defeated and you win Chapter 3!

Jr. Troopa (3rd Fight)
    Found: Forever Forest
    HP: 40
    Star Points: 21
    Attack Power: 5
    Defense Power: 1
Strategy: This time around in the battle with Jr. Troopa, he's sprouted
wings and flies in the air. However, he still isn't too much of
a threat. Switch your partner so you have Parakarry, then use
his Power Shell ability to cause a good amount of damage. Have
Mario Jump or use the Star Storm ability you just learned from
Skolar. Keep your HP high and continue the attacks until you
              defeat Jr. Troopa once again.

Anti Guy
    Found: Shy Guy's Toy Box
    HP: 50
    Star Points: 15
    Attack Power: 10
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: Now THIS is the toughest foe I've fought so far in the game.
Besides having alot of HP, it also causes at least 10 HP of
damage per attack! I highly recommend you have the Power Bounce
Badge equipped, as well as lots of healing items in reserve.
Keep using the Power Bounce to hit Anti Guy multiple times, and
use Bow's transparency ability if you don't want to be hit by
the attack. Keep your HP up at all times, and outlast Anti Guy
              until you win.

Big Lantern Ghost
    Found: Shy Guy's Toy Box
    HP: 40
    Star Points: 15
    Attack Power: 5
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: The fight against this boss is a little different than other
fights. You are unable to attack it when it's hiding in the
dark, so attack the lantern to make the room brighter. Then,
direct your attacks at the giant boss. Watch out when it does
its flash attack with the lantern because it'll keep your
partner from helping for a couple turns. Repeat the same
strategy as above until you defeat this simple guy.

General Guy
    Found: Shy Guy's Toy Box
    HP: 30
    Star Points: 33
    Attack Power: 4
    Defense Power: 2
Strategy: This battle takes place in 4 phases. First, he'll send the Shy
Squad to attack you. Attack them to make them disperse and run
away, defeated. After you beat them, General Guy will send out 2
Stilt Guys to attack you. Defeat them, then he'll send out 2 Shy
Stacks. Beat them and General Guy will resort to attacking you
himself from inside his tank. The general has 2 attacks; one of
which you can immediately put a stop to. Start by attacking the
Bulb on top of the tank until it bursts. By doing that, you're
preventing General Guy from using his electrical attack on you.
He'll just throw bombs at you instead. Just keep attacking
General Guy with lots of attacks and keeping your HP/FP high
              until you beat him.

Lava Piranha/Lava Bud
    Found: Mt. Lavalava
    HP: 40 (Piranha), 8 (Bud)
    Star Points: 30
Attack Power: 5 (Piranha), 4 (Bud)
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: This giant fiery plant is pretty tough if you think about it.
All 3 parts of the plant (the main body, and the 2 smaller
parts) shoot fire at you to attack. It's recommended you have
Sushie as your partner, and the Fire Shield and Ice Power Badges
equipped for this as well. Use Jump attacks and Sushie's Tidal
Wave and Squirt attacks to cause massive damage to these plants.
It's recommended you take out the Lava Buds first; that way, you
won't have to worry about them attacking you for now. Keep
attacking the giant Lava Piranha until it all sinks into the
lava, only to emerge again, covered with fire! Also, all 3 parts
will become fully charged once again. This time around though,
water attacks take more HP away from them, plus when they're
hit, they'll be temporarily out of commission. Repeat the same
attack pattern as before to defeat this creature the second and
              final time.

Jr. Troopa (4th Fight)
    Found: Toad Town
HP: 40 (he only has 20 total when you fight him)
    Star Points: 22
    Attack Power: 6
    Defense Power: 1
Strategy: This time around, Jr. Troopa can fly, plus he has a spiked
              helmet. It's recommended you have the Spike Shield Badge on;
that way, Mario can use Jump attacks successfully against him.
Have Sushie on your team so you can use her Squirt and Tidal
Wave attacks here. Just keep attacking this guy until you win,
since the fight shouldn't be too hard.

Super Blooper
    Found: Toad Town Tunnels
    HP: 70
    Star Points: 25
    Attack Power: 5
    Defense Power: 0
Strategy: This is the toughest of the 3 Bloopers in the tunnels you'll
have to fight. Despite its size and amount of power, it still
isn't a big deal. The only real difference this time is that it
sends out Blooper Babies to attack you as well. I highly
recommend you have lots of healing items with you because you
WILL need them! Use lots of Jump and Star Spirit attacks, and
use your partner's strongest attacks as well. When it shoots out
Blooper Babies, crush them all with a Star Storm if you're able
to. Keep your HP and FP up, and repeat the above pattern until
              you win.

Koopa Koot's Favors
-------------------

In Koopa Village, there is an old Koopa that lives next door to Kooper, whose
name is Koopa Koot. If you come and talk to him, he'll ask you to do him a
favor. Succeed and he'll give you a reward of some sort. Here's a list of the
favors he'll ask you and the reward(s) you receive for doing them:

1. Koopa Koot will ask you to go to Kolorado's House and borrow the book
"Koopa Legends". Bring him the book and he'll give you 1 Coin as the
   reward.

2. Koopa Koot will want you to get him a Sleepy Sheep so he can go to sleep.
Give him the item and you'll receive a Coin and a Silver Credit as rewards.

3. Koopa Koot will have you go to Goomba Village and ask Goompa to give you a
Tape he borrowed a while ago. Bring it back to get the reward, which is 1
   Coin.

4. This time, Koopa Koot will ask you to bring him some Koopa Tea. Find a
Koopa Leaf in the bushes in Koopa Village, then get to Toad Town. Give it
to Tayce T. and have her cook it to make Koopa Tea. Bring it to Koot to win
   3 Star Pieces!

5. For his fifth favor, Koopa Koot will ask you to get him an autograph of
Luigi. So, get to Mario's House via the pipe at the entrance to Toad Town
and talk to Luigi to get the Autograph. Bring it to Koopa Koot to get 1
   Coin as the reward.

6. Koopa Koot will tell you that his wallet is lost from when he went out to
the shop, so he'll ask you to go find it. Go left to the first area of
Koopa Village and check the bushes to find the Empty Wallet. Bring it to
Koot to get the 1 Coin reward.

7. Now, Koot will ask you to bring him a Tasty Tonic to make him feel better.
Go to a shop and buy the Tasty Tonic, then bring it to him and gain the 1
   Coin as a reward again.

8. Koopa Koot will ask you to obtain Merluvlee's autograph for him. So, go to
Merluvlee's house near Shooting Star Valley, and talk to her. She'll give
you the autograph if you visit Merlee in Dry Dry Outpost and get her a
crystal ball. Do that, then Merluvlee will give you the Autograph. Bring it
to Koopa Koot and he'll give you 3 Star Pieces in return!

9. For the next favor, Koope Koot will ask you to read the Toad Town News for
him. So, go to Toad Town and read the news (it's the sign to the left of
Merlon's house), then visit Koot again to get 1 Coin.

10. Koopa Koot will ask you to get him a Life Shroom to make him feel better.
Bring him this special item (the shop in Boo's Mansion sells them) and
he'll give you 1 Coin, as well as the Gold Credit.

11. This time, Koot will have the craving for a Nutty Cake. He'll ask you to
have Tayce T. bake one for you. However, the ingredient needed is the
Goomnut, so go to Goomba Village and hit a tree to get one. Give it to
Tayce T. and get the Nutty Cake, then bring it to Koot to get that 1 Coin
    reward.
