1. Introduction

Hello.I'd like to start off by saying if you're looking for something
specific(let's say German mission 1:Coast Islands)You'd go to "edit"
then "find in top window" (Ctrl+F) type "coast islands" and hit "find"
it'll most likely take you where you want to go.Triplane Turmoil is a
side-scrolling airplane shooter.It hasn't been rated by the ERSB,but I
decided it would get an "E" rating for Everyone. When you shoot the
infantry it shows blood. That's the most violent part of it.Bombs and
gunfire, too, but not that violent. This game was made by Dodekaedron
Squad, and used to be shareware but now it's free to use the full mode.

2. How to play

First,go to the roster.Click the pen to create a new pilot. To erase a
pilot, click the blue eraser. To set the keys click the button in the
corner that says set keys. The set of keys(hope you're not confused)takes
you to the main menu.

Setting the keys is difficult.First,to set multiplayer keys,go to plane
mechanics.Pick your plane color then click the keyboard(I don't have a
joystick,so I don't know how to set those controls.Sorry!)It will say
what the key does.Just press the key you want to have do that.(so if you
see "Bombs [2]" just push the key you want for bombs.)Now if it doesn't
go to the next one right away, just push it again.Wait 5-10 seconds
between key pushes if they don't work.To set solo game keys, just go to
roster and click on the button.Same procedure as above.

Next you should go to "Assign Pilots".The computer icon means that plane
will be controlled by the CPU in multiplayer. The person means a human
will play that plane in multi, the "no" symbol means the plane won't be
active,and,of course,solo means solo game.

Now go to "request transfer" for multiplayer games. For solo game, just
skip this part. This screen lets you pick your setting.Note that
Finnish(Blue) and English(green)computer players can not play in the
caverns due to take-off problems.

_Controls_
My control settings are pretty good I think so here they are:Up and
down(up and down arrows) roll/hangar button(left arrow) power(right
arrow)bombs(shift) Shoot(space bar)

Landing is worse than setting controls!Okay,to take off,hit roll.now hit
power to take off.Got it?To land, stick your plane even but so it's going
down.Turn off the power when you're close to the runway and then level
out.once on the runway, press up and down simulentaneously to brake. If
you haven't completed the mission(solo)press roll to refill supplies and
then take off.Don't worry, you can't run over your army men(infantry) but
you can shoot them.

_rolls_
Here are rolls.Rolls can help you change direction, avoid gunfire,or
bombs,and other things.
> or < (plane direction) R(roll) V(down)^(up)X(power off)+(power on)

Roll 1

>>>>>>>R>>R>>>>>>

This roll can help you avoid gunfire but not much.

Roll 2
>>>>>>>>>>>>V
            V
<<<<<<<<<R<<V
Not only will this roll help you escape enemies, but greatly increase
your speed.

Roll 3
<<<<R<<<<<^
          ^
>>>>>>>>>>^

If you're going fast enough, this roll will give you altitude and help
evade an enemy.

Roll 4

<<<<<<<<<<^
          ^
          <<<<<<^
                ^
                ^<<<<<<<R<<<R<<<<<

This roll gives you altitude, but greatly decreases speed.Don't use in
unfriendly territory.

Roll 5

>>>>>>>X>>V ^>>>>>>>>
          V ^
          V>>>>>>>+>>^
This one can give you speed in altitude.

Send in your rolls!

3. Walkthrough
German missions

1. Coast Islands

This is pretty easy.Just take off,and bomb everything. The first AAA is
on a small island with a couple of guards.Bomb the AAA(It's brown and
shoots red things)then the troops should fly backwards.Next you'll find
an island with a tent and a guard.Next is the big one.Bomb the AAA,then
the tower. Now you should have run out of bombs. You have two options:A-
Land and reload or B-Crash or be shot down.I suggest being shot because
you won't lose points if you miss the landing. Now finish by bombing the
dome.Go back and land.

2. Japanese counter-strike

This is moderately easy.Simply shoot down the two planes.Get to a high
altitude so you meet up with them.DON'T LET THEM BY YOU!Shoot non-
stop. You need to protect your base. The + at the side is the planes. The
brighter the closer they are.The altitude is shown also.Land after
you're done and voila!

3. English Channel

Take off right away. All you need to do is shoot a few english planes and
protect the bombers.Come back for fuel when you're down to 2-3
bars.After shooting a few planes down(not your own,of course)come back
for a landing.Oh,and don't stay far from home.

4.Treachery

Let Japan take care of England while you move as fast as possible to
destroy the Finnish Planes.Don't let your guard down and bomb the
troops.By the way,be conservative because landings will be scarce.

Finnish missions

1. Beach-head

This is simple.Bomb the larger groups, then when you run out of
bombs,_continue_ to shoot the leftovers. There is one lone troop far
away.Try to land after you turn around.

2. Complex wipeout

Tough.Bomb the specified locations and return.Stay low for the first
target(shoot the troops and gain some altitude to bomb)

English missions

1. Storehunt

Ouch.Bomb the troops while shooting at them, maintain altitude and bomb
the buildings.One plane?That's crazy.

Japanese missions

1.Tactical bombardment

Let the troops go ahead of you to wipe out some troops. Then go and bomb
your base. You may need to land and refill.

Multiplayer

I'll cover the multiplayer section here. You might want to use joysticks
instead of the keyboard for more than one human.

How multiplayer works

Request transfer chooses the level. There are 6 levels to choose
from,Forest,Desert,Urban,Caverns,Polar,Lagoon.Each country gets
infantry,AAAs,and buildings(Unless you turn them off in options)There
are 3 layered screens. Some areas are hazardous, while others are just
sceneray. You can land at any base but only refill at your own.

Forest

The forest is pretty even. The only major obstacle is the hillside near
the Japanese base.Germans are in the top left,Finnish top right,English
bottom left, and Japanese bottom right.I reccomend playing as Germans for
this level.

Desert

The desert has a deadly cactus in front of the German base.Once again
the Japanese have a slope. This level is alot like the forest.Same setup
as the forest only the finnish and english are in the middle.

Lagoon

Cool level.No troops/AAAs just a water-ridden battle zone.JApanese have
the top to themselves, while finninsh get the bottom.Germans have the
middle left and English get the middle right.

Polar

This is a tight level.Germany gets 4 AAAs(and the secluded top area to
balance it out)Smack dab in the middle is a christmas tree to crash
into. The Finnish will get the middle right with the Japanese getting the
left.Englan the bottom to themselves.

Urban

An obstacle paradise.Buildings everywhere, including one for the English
to run into in the top left.To the right of the english are the
germans.Stay high if you're Germany. In the middle is a huge suspension
bridge, don't try to fly through it.At the bottom left is the Japanese
base. They will have to gain altitude quickly to get over the bridge. The
finnish are next to the Japanese, and they don't have much to worry
about.

Caverns

This level has caverns in the middle.Make sure a human is Finnish or
English, because the computer can't take off in Caverns.Germany has the
top and Japan the bottom.Oh,and you can shoot the troops from inside the
cavern.
