1. INTRODUCTION
=========================

The game "Shenmue Chapter One Yokosuka" is a great new game that has
actually made a new genre, FREE(Full Reactive Eyes Entertainment). The
game takes place in 1986 Yokosuka, Japan. The man behind the game is Yu
Suzuki, who is well known for his hit arcade games such as Virtua
Fighter, and Hang On. You control Ryo Hazuki, a man on a mission to
avenge his fathers murder. As Ryo, you struggle to gain information
from various people in the world of Yokosuka, while constantly running
into problems.

Here is the story directly from the manuel.

***

"The year is 1986, the place, Yokosuka, Japan.
The normally tranquil day-to-day life of Ryo Hazuki is suddenly and
irrecoverably shattered by uninvited visitors.
A man wearing dark green Chinese clothes appears at the Hazuki
family home with the black-suited thugs. This man uses a powerful style
of martial arts, the likes of which Ryo has never before seen, to engage
his father Iwao in a fierce battle. Ryo attempts to intervene and help
his father, but the obvious disparity in power is too much. Ryo is
beaten down and taken hostage as the man questions Iwao, "Where is the
mirror."
Having no other recourse, Iwao reluctantly tells him. Once this
mysterious object is in the man's possession, he again attacks Iwao.
"Do you remember Zhao Sun Ming..."
From these words Ryo learns of a shocking truth from the past. His
father was responsible for killing someone long ago. And then, Iwao is
knocked down in defeat. Ryo pulls his father close and feels him take
his last breath.
     "Lan Di"
The man with the ominous embroidery of a glittering dragon on his
back, the man responsible.
     What of the stolen mirror?
     Who is this Lan Di?
Vowing to see revenge, Ryo embarks on a journey to unravel the
mystery surrounding his father's death and deliver justice to the man
responsible."

2. MAIN CHARACTERS
=========================

----------------
---Ryo Hazuki---
----------------

Having lost his mother at an early age, Ryo has devoted his entire
young life to rigorous martial arts training under the guidance of a
strict but loving father.
Despite a tendancy to be reckless and a bit too quick to fight, Ryo
has a tremendous amount of potential and an iron strong volition.
Determined to uncover the mystery of his father's murder, he begins
a journey that will eventually take him west to a land he has never
seen...China.
What fate lies in store for Ryo?

---------------------
---Nozomi Harasaki---
---------------------

As a close friend and classmate, Nozomi is well-aquainted with Ryo.
A liberated and flexible thinker, she has a tendency to speak her mind
clearly and an ability to get quickly to the core of any matter, except
when that matter involves feelings of the heart. When she cares for
someone, she finds it difficult to express herself, instead simply
gazing at them with affection in her eyes.
Will she ever be able to clearly express her feelings to Ryo?

------------------------
---Chan Long (Lan Di)---
------------------------

A master of a powerful form of martial art that was supposed to
have disappeared long ago, Lan Di's chilling stare alone is enough to
intimidate most opponents. But, those brave enough to ignore his stare
usually forfeit without a fight once they see his deadly moves.
Evil to the core, he is incapable of showing mercy and will stop at
nothing to bury anyone who dares cross him.

------------------
---Ling Sha Hua---
------------------

Raised in a pure environment surrounded by nature, this young woman
has never known what it is to distrust people. Filled with courage and
a strong zest for life, behind her innocent and childlike demeanor is
the heart and sould of China.
Innocent and pure, this mysterious young woman is very kind-hearted
and gentle.
Her encounter with Ryo will change her destiny.

-----------------
---Iwao Hazuki---
-----------------

He is Ryo's father and the foremost expert of the Hazuki style of
martial art.
In his youth he traveled to China to undergo martial arts training
and during this time he met various people. Because of his deep
devotion to martial arts, both Iwao and his school of martial arts is
held in high regard and well respected in the community.

-----------------
---Tom Johnson---
-----------------

This charismatic friend of Ryo's owns the local hot dog truck.
Because he is friendly and interacts with people well, Tom can
often provide helpful information.
Prior to settling in Yokosuka, Tom is said to have hitchhiked
around the world. Always cheerful and optimistic, Tom can be found near
his truck dancing to rap and reggae music.

-------------------
---Mark Kimberly---
-------------------

A calm sensitive man, Mark works at the harbor as a forklift
operator.
Not very talkative and reluctant to discuss his past, he seems to
have an ulterior motive for being in Yokosuka. Under what circumstances
will he meet up with Ryo?

----------
---Chai---
----------

This strange man sneaks around following Ryo as he investigates the
mystery surrounding his father's murder. Lurking in shadows, Chai spies
Ryo with beastly eyes.
His physical presence is so frightening and creepy, one dares not
imagine how he came to be.

6. DISC 1 WALKTHROUGH
=========================

-----------------
---Ryo's House---
-----------------

The game starts with an FMV which sets up the story for you. It occurs
on November 29th, 1986 at 4pm. It shows your father being killed at the
hands of Lan Di, and him leaving with the mirror.

The game resumes 4 days later on December 3rd. It opens with Ine-san
checking the mail and finding a mysterious letter. It then goes to Ryo
having a nightmare about his father's death.

When Ryo awakens, it will open the notebook automatically(this happens
whenever you wake up), you then get to control him after closing the
notebook(read it first to get clues). Check your desk and you will find
a "Shenmue" tape on top of it. Use the R BUTTON to zoom in on it and
press the A BUTTON to pick it up. Press it again to keep it. Zoom in
again and then check the drawers. In the top on you will find a
"Cassette Player" which you can use to play your tapes. In the second
drawer, you'll find a picture of you and your friends. In the bottom
drawer you'll find a "Sha Hua" cassette. Pressing the A BUTTON at your
bed will bring up the option to save or to change settings(note, these
come up when you enter your room, if at night, sleep and train is also
added). This is all that you can do in your room.

***Item Check(Items From Ryo's Room)***

When you exit your room, you will go into another cut-scene in which you
will talk to Ine-san and she will give you 500 yen. She will leave 500
yen daily for you on top of the shoe box(the cabinet near the door).
You will also get an update in your notebook to talk to Fuku-san.

After talking to Ine-san, go to the right of your room. Enter the last
room at the end of the hallway on the left. There will be a sign
outside that says "Fukuhara." This is Fuku-san's room. Go inside and
check his desk. On top of the books you will find the "Shadow Reaper"
item. This is a move. Open up your menu with the Y BUTTON and view the
item. It will say "It looks like a leg move." You will then master the
move.

***Item Check(Items From Fukuhara's Room)***

Shadow Reaper

When you leave Fuku-san's room, go to the right and enter the room that
looks similar to his. This is Ine-sans room. Check the small table to
the right with two drawers. Check the drawer on the right to obtain the
"Photo of Hazukis." Go through the door on the right side to exit the
room.

***Item Check(Items From Ine-san's Room)***

Photo Of Hazukis

The next room you entered(if you went out the left door in Ine-san's
room) will be the family room I believe. Walk over to the TV and open
the bottom cabinet. You will find a Sega Saturn, and Ryo's will put it
on the TV. Wish you could play it!!! Now check the cabinet in the
corner. In the top left drawer, you will find "C Size Batteries." If
you exit to the door to the right of where you entered, or across if you
entered from the main hallway, you will go into a small hallway which
leads from the family room to Ine-san's room. This hallway holds
nothing special.

***Item Check(Items From The Family Room)***

C Size Batteries

Exit out the front of the Family Room and go to the right where you will
find the Kitchen. Zoom in on the rice on the table for a cut-scene of a
young Ryo with his father. You will most likely find Ine-san in the
kitchen. She will basically say the same stuff as she did earlier. She
tells you to talk with Fuku-san and that he is in the Dojo.

When you exit the kitchen, continue to the right. You will see the
bathroom on the right(the door with a sign on it). Across from the
bathroom you will find the Altar Room. If you zoom in on the altar, and
press the A BUTTON, you will pray for your father. In the drawer to the
right you will find "Candles." On the right side of the altar, you will
find a "Box of Matches." Exit out the back entrance of the Altar.

***Item Check(Items From The Altar Room)***

In the hallway, you will notice a basket, open it to recieve the "Twin
Blades" move. Use the "Twin Blades" item and it will tell you it is a
hand move, and you will master it.

***Item Check(Items From The Hallway)***

Twin Blades

Follow the hallway until you reach the next room. This next room is
your fathers study I presume. On top of the desk, you will find a
letter you can read that your father wrote. If you check the drawer on
the desk, you will find a box you can open. Inside you will find a
"Mysterious Key." The key will be helpful later.

***Item Check(Items From Father's Study)***

Mysterious Key

You are now ready to leave the house. You might wanna check the phone
out before leaving and call some numbers in your notebook. You are now
prepared to head out into the real world!

Go to the left and back of your house, you will find the dojo there.
Inside you will find Fuku-san. Ryo will question him, but get no real
answers. You will learn Ryo is seeking revenge for his fathers murder.
You will then exit the Dojo automatically, and get information in your
notebook. Reenter the Dojo. On the back right side, you will find a
wooden box with a keyhole. Use the key on this item. You will find a
sword inside. Lift up the right scroll hanging in the center of the
back wall. You will see a slot. Zoom in on it and press the A BUTTON
and Ryo will place the sword in the slot. Behind the left scroll you
will see another type of slot. Remember this. At the left end of the
Dojo, you will see a sign near the top of the wall. Look at it and it
will go into another cutscene. This is another one of a young Ryo,
about him getting into a fight with a friend and friends in general.
Zoom in on the sign after the cutscene. You will not be able to reach
it. Walk to the right of the sign and zoom in on the stool and use it
to reach it. You will find the "Mysterious Scroll" item. You can now
leave the Dojo.

***Item Check(Items From The Dojo)***

Mysterious Scroll

After leaving the Dojo, go to the left and towards the tree. Another
cutscene of a young Ryo with his father. This time practicing moves.

If your anything like me, you wasted a bunch of time. Go back inside
and Ine-san will talk to you about being late. Ryo says he will be home
before 11 each night. Remember to do that or else to townspeople will
start talking about you! Now go to bed, when you enter your room, you
will automatically get the option to save, sleep, train, or change
settings. Save, then sleep. You will wake up and prepare to start your
journey to avenge your father. You wake up at 8:30am almost every
morning. When you wake up, your notebook automatically opens up to your
most current writing.

-------------------------
---Men In Black Suits?---
-------------------------

Your first mission is to ask around town about the men in black suits.
When you leave your property, go down the road a bit and turn right and
go down the stairs. There you can talk to two of your friends and one
of them tells you to ask two housewives by the pay phone in Sakuragoaka.
When you continue down the road, you will go into an automated event.
You will meet Megumi and the kitten. She tells you the kitten's mother
was ran over by a speeding black car. She also tells you that
Yamagishi-san was almost ran over and injured his back getting out of
the way. You also have the option of what food to pick to feed the cat.
Choose the dried fish on the left.

When in Sakuragoaka, go down the road a bit until it forks. You will
see the pay phone and two women chatting. Talk to them both about the
incident. Both women tell you to ask Sumiya-san. If you follow the
road to the left of the pay phone, you can find Sumiya-san at the end of
it. She doesn't really tell you anything you don't already know.
Speeding car, cat ran over, Yamagishi-san injured his back. Same stuff.

Go back towards the pay phone and go down the road you haven't been
through yet. When you reach the end, Ryo will walk by himself. He will
see an old lady who asks for help. She needs you to find the Yamamoto
household. It is located to the left of the store and across the T in
the road. You can use the map nearby the T in the road to find it if
need be. You don't have to help her, but it would ease your concious if
you would. She waits in the park until you find the house. The park is
to the left of the store and at the end of the road.

After helping the old lady, or not, follow the road to the right of the
store. You should come around the turn and see a house with a fence
around it, go inside it and you'll see an old man walking around. Talk
to him, this is Yamagishi-san. He tells you the car went towards
Dobuita. Go there to find information.

Before heading to Dobuita, be sure to stop Abe's Store. Before
entering, try buying a soda, any you please. But Jet Soda seems to have
more winning cans. Go inside and look around, maybe buy some stuff. If
you buy anything that is 120 yen in the store, you will get a chance at
the raffle drawing. Or if you bring in a winning can you can use that
for a chance at the raffle drawing. Perhaps you can buy some squid legs
for the cat to eat.

Head to Dobuita by following the road by the park. You could go the
other way, past Yamagishi-san's house. But note that everything I state
is by following the park way.

When you enter Dobuita, there should be a map on the left wall as you
enter. Take a quick look at it so you can know where things are.

As you walk down the street, you will see a lot of different people.
They all go about their daily routines, and they move a lot. They
aren't just stationary all the time. And all businesses in the world of
Shenmue run on the game time, which means they aren't open 24 hours. At
the end of the street before it splits, you'll see the Lapis Fortune
Teller building. You can enter here and get clues or other information.

If you look towards your left, you'll see Funny Bear Burgers. Talk to
the owner and he will tell you that the girl at Aida Florist was
splashed by mud from a speeding car. That girl is Nozomi. Aida Florist
is straight ahead from the burger joint. You'll see Nozomi outside
wearing a white sweater and plaid skirt. Talk to her and you'll learn
that Tom, the owner of the hot dog truck had words with the men in the
black car. You can feel free to go around and talk to others and have
fun if you want. There is no need to rush things. But in this FAQ, I'm
just giving you the straight information in detail.

From Aida Florist, follow the road straight and to the right. You will
eventually come across a purple truck with a man dancing in front of it.
This is Tom. He will tell you that the Lan Di was wearing a Chinese
type outfit. Time to ask some Chinese people if they know anything.

--------------------
---Chinese People---
--------------------

Before we get to the Chinese people, I wanna tell you where to have some
fun. If you continue down the road where you found Tom, you will see
You Arcade. Go inside to play some great games, and try your best. You
can rank yourself in the Shenmue Passport disc.

Your first stop is straight ahead of Tom's hotdog stand. The Global
Travel Agency. Inside ask the man about Chinese people. He will tell
you to check the Ajiichi, a Chinese restaurant.

When you exit the Global Travel Agency, go to the right and continue
back towards Aida Florist. As you go back, Ryo will take control as an
automated event is coming up. You will bump into a guy, and then get
into a little argument. Get ready, this is your first Quick Timer
Event(QTE). I'll let you take care of this on your own.

When your finished beating the snot out of those guys, you will be
standing in front of Aida Florist and the fruit and vegetable stand.
You might have to back up a little bit, but go past the vegetable stand.
Down the road you have yet to travel. Go a little ways until you see a
sports shop, Hattori Sporting Goods. Ajiichi Chinese Restaurant is
directly across from it. Enter it and talk to the people in the cooking
area.

The cook will tell you of the "Three Blades." Tailors, cooks, and
barbers. He tells you to visit the cook at Manpukuken Ramen, Maeda-san
the barber, and Itoi-san the tailor.

Your best bet is to talk to the barber first. You can find him around
the corner past the arcade. He will tell you to check Liu Barber & Hair
Salon. It can be found near where you entered Dobuita, use a map if
neccessary. Go there and they will tell you to go to Suzume Park to
find Liu Senior. Suzume Park is located near the arcade. It is down
the alley right next to the arcade. Enter the park and you should find
Liu Senior setting on a bench. He tells you of the Chinese mafia, and
that the sailors may know about them. Now you must find some sailors.

-------------
---Sailors---
-------------

If you go to sleep before hand, and decide to try the next day, as you
go toward Sakuragoaka, you will enter another quick timer event. This
time it will be some kids playing soccer. If you hit the A BUTTON quick
enough, you will catch the ball. If not, Ryo will kick the ball, and it
will hit the little girl in the head. I myself prefer to not hit the A
BUTTON, as I find it funny as hell.

Anyways, continue on to Dobuita and ask around about sailors. You'll
learn that sailors hang around bars at night time. If it is day time,
just kill some time by hanging out at the arcade or practicing your
moves in the empty parking lot near the arcade. Or you can learn your
way around, get to know the area.

Once it starts getting a little late, head over to the Yokosuka bar
which is down the same road as the Ajiichi Chinese Restaurant. You
should find it if you follow the road. Go inside and talk to the
bartender. He will tell you to check out the MJQ Jazz Bar and the
Heartbeats Bar. Head on over to the MJQ Jazz Bar first. It is right
next to the Yokosuka bar.

If you go to the MJQ Jazz Bar while the lights are on, but it is
closed(around 6:30pm) then the bartender will tell you to come back
around 9pm, as that is when the sailors are there. Just come in when it
opens, you'll find two of them in the back playing pool. If you don't
make the shot don't worry, you won't miss anything. They'll just say
some stuff about them not being the sailors. Too bad!

Next, it is time to head to the Heartbeats Bar. Do you remember where
those motorcycles were? When you went past the Ajiichi Chinese
Restaurant. Well, go back there and look on the side with the spray
painted wall. You'll notice a set of steps going down. Go there.

This is your first encounter with a gang called the "Mad Angels."
You'll meet up with two foreign guys. One white, the other black.
You'll engage in another quick timer event(QTE). Take out the two gang
members and continue on towards the bar.

When you enter the bar, Ryo will take over from here until your next
QTE. The bartender will slide you a glass of milk, and one of the
patrons will make fun of you. Some guy will come up to you and grab
your shoulder, and Ryo will throw his hand off. Prepare for the QTE.
Do what the game tells you and you'll take out all of the guys in the
room. Ryo will then ask the bartender about the Chinese cartel. The
bartender says he will give him the info if Ryo never shows his face
again in his bar. He tells you to look for a man named Charlie. He
wears a black leather jacket, shades, and has a tattoo on his arm. The
bartender also tells you to ask around at the motorcycle shop which is
right in front of the steps leading to the Heartbeats Bar.

-------------
---Charlie---
-------------

Talk to the owner of the bike shop. He bad mouths Charlie, saying
things like he is a poser. He tells you to go to Tsuruoka-san at the
jacket shop. There is a handy map nearby where you can find Jackets
Jupitor's. But most likely, it is late and the jacket shop has closed.
Go home and rest for right now.

When you get ready to head back to Dobuita, when you pass Abe Store and
continue following the road, you should come across those two thugs you
beat up in the street awhile back. That is, if it is still morning and
it is not raining. They will be picking on a kid and Nozomi. You
intervene and get to have your first real fight, a free battle. This
means no QTE, but you actually doing moves. You've been practicing,
right? Smack them around a bit, Ryo will tell Nozomi to be careful, and
you can continue on with your business.

Next, as you continue down towards Dobuita, as you enter, you'll see a
guy near the soda machine. Walk over and it will go to a cut scene.
The guy won't have enough money for a soda. Be a nice guy and buy one
for him.

Now head back to Dobuita. Don't forget to feed your cat on the way
there...you do take care of your cat don't you? You might even be able
to name it by now! Anyways, get on to the jacket shop. When you speak
to Tsuruoka-san at the jacket shop, he too bad mouths Charlie(nobody
seems to like the poor guy).

Ask the old lady at the tobacco shop(past the You Arcade, and the
parking lot where you practice) about Charlie. She tells you to check
out Nagai Industries. What?? Don't worry, it is easy to find. It is
near the entrance to Dobuita, right next to the soda machine.

Everyone tells you the same thing basically. Charlie can be found down
by the military surplus and jacket shop at night. So, hang around until
night time(7pm when it does a cut scene of the town and lights coming
on). You can go to Suzume Park, and it will go to a cut scene where you
get to learn another move. After you learn the move, continue to kill
some time until night time.

Once it is night time, head over towards the arcade. You will enter
into a cut scene. You'll start talking with the black guy you beat up
earlier. He says he'll take you to meet Charlie. He will lead you to
the parking lot near the arcade where you practice occasionally. You
will be jumped by 5 guys. You should have no problem taking them out.

After beating the 5 guys up, head on over to the arcade if you see two
motorcycles outside of it. There should be two guys in there. One in a
red leather jacket, the other in a yellow shirt with a black vest. You
may have seen them around before. Talk to the one in the red jacket.
He will ask you to join his gang. Say yes to get the information
needed. He will tell you to find Okayama Heights. This is very easy to
find. Remember the Yokosuka bar and the MJQ Jazz Bar. Well, Okayama
Heights is across the street from that, it is the apartment complex. Go
up the stairs to find the tattoo parlor.

You can enter the tattoo parlor tonight if you want, if it is open when
you get there. But the owner will just bug you about getting a tattoo
and then tell you to come back tomorrow. Go home, get some sleep. When
you wake up, you have some time to kill until 2pm. That is when the
tattoo parlor opens up. Try going to the dojo at your house. You can
meet Fuku-san there and he will be practicing the "Pit Blow" move. He
will get you to show him how it is properly done(Forward + X). If you
show him, you will master this move also.

Once it is 2pm, head to the tattoo parlor. When you enter, you will see
the two drunk guys you beat up on your way to Heartbeats Bar and who
jumped you at the parking lot. They will run out in fear as you ask the
owner about Charlie. He points to the back and says he is sleeping.
You go over to the curtain and prepare to open it. Get ready for a QTE.
He tells you to meet him at the arcade at 3pm the next day. DO NOT
WORRY ABOUT THIS!!! This event DOES NOT take place from what I've
played. It gets cancelled out by running into Charlie a little earlier,
as you will read below.

When you leave the tattoo parlor, the game goes to another cut scene.
This one is with Nozomi. She is waiting for you at the bottom of the
stairs. She asks about you and is worried about you. Ryo sends her on
her way though. Go home and get some sleep.

--------------------
---Chinese Letter---
--------------------

When you wake up in the morning, you will go to an automated event.
You'll see Ryo in the dojo, then Fuku-san will enter. You will get to
spar with him and practice your moves on him. Then there will be a
conversation with him about the Chinese Cartel and going after them.
When you leave, Ine-san will be outside and have heard everything. She
tries to stop you. She brings you inside to give you the letter she got
earlier in the game. It is written in Chinese. When you leave the
house, Fuku-san will appear again, asking if you only knew someone who
was Chinese.

When you enter Sakuragaoka, you will run into Gao Wen, the boy in a
green jacket. He will say a man took his soccer ball and would give it
back if you brought it to him. He takes you to the construction yard
and it is Charlie and a group of thugs. You will enter a free battle
against the thugs. Beat them around some. Charlie will then grab the
kid and hold a knife to his neck. The kid drops his soccer ball and you
will enter a QTE. Quickly tap A BUTTON to kick the ball in Charlie's
face. Ryo will then back fist the guy behind him. You'll then find out
that the boy is Chinese.

Once it is 11am, head in the direction of the arcade, you should run
into Gao Wen again, this time in front of the bread shop. You ask him
about him being Chinese. Then ask him about people who can read
Chinese. He mentions his grandmother over at Russiya China Shop. You
can find it on the other side of Dobuita, near where you enter(if you
follow my route).

She will translate the letter to you. Pay special attention to the part
about the back of the letter, it is a password. "Father's Heaven, Nine
Dragons, Mother's Earth, Comrades." Head on over to the tobacco shop
and use their phone to call the number you get from the letter also.
The number is 0468-61-5647. When someone picks up, they will tell you
part of the password. You repeat the next part, they will then say
another and you repeat the last part. They will mention Warehouse #8.
Call 104 and ask about the Area code of the phone number. They will
tell you it is in Amihama, the harbor. Get ready to board the bus to
head that way. The bus is right next to the tobacco shop.
Congratulations, your done with Disc 1!

7. DISC 2 WALKTHROUGH
=========================

------------------
---Warehouse #8---
------------------

Well, you've arrived at the harbor. And jeez, not five minutes into the
place and your already in a QTE fight. Take care of the punks and one
of them(Goro) will give you directions to warehouse number 8. You'll
learn it is straight and to the right. The game will set you back in
the correct direction after the fight. Just run down a little ways and
turn right when you can. You'll find warehouse #8. Try to enter.
Can't can ya!! You'll have to find another way in. Run around to the
back and Ryo will see a open window. Push the nearby crate to the tall
stack of crates and climb up.

When Ryo enters, go to the right and stay on top. If you go to the
bottom, Ryo will just say there is nothing there. Run down by the last
door on the top. You'll overhear a conversation and learn there is an
old warehouse district, with old warehouse #8. Now to find that
area.....

When you exit the new warehouse #8, go back where you turned right to
get there. Near the food stand. Now, go a little to the right and run
along the waters edge. Make sure you are going straight away from the
food stand, not off to the right off it, or you'll end up in trouble.
Continue on and you'll eventually come near an area that has Tom's Hot
Dog Truck. Continue past that and you'll come around a corner. That is
the old warehouse district. Talk to the guard outside. You'll learn
that you need an appointment to get in. Or if you just try to enter,
Ryo will mention something about trying tonight.

Wait around until it is 7pm, when it gets dark. Head back over towards
the old warehouse district. Enter through the gate and Ryo will crawl
under the guard building desk. The phone will ring and a QTE will
happen. A quick tap of the right directional button will take care of
it though. You will then enter the area. You will have to sneak around
and dodge security guards. When you first enter, Ryo will lean against
a wall and peek around. When the guard comes from the right pathway,
and then stops and starts to go down the other pathway, quickly run in
the direction from which that guard came(enter, go right). Then run
down that pathway and to the first left you see, then to the first right
you see. You should be at warehouse #8. If you did this quickly
enough, you won't be caught by any guards. If you are, do not fret, the
game will restart at that same area, just another day. Enter warehouse
#8.

When you enter the warehouse, check out the shelves in the center of the
room. See the plate? Zoom in, and lock on it. Then pick it up. This
will activate a cut scene. You will then meet Gui Zhang. He gets ready
to fight you but an old man stops him. This is Master Chen. He will
ask who you are, and then Ryo will show him the letter. He mentions the
man who wrote the letter was Zhu Yuan Da, a friend of your fathers. He
tells you about them, and when they went to China. They returned with
two mirrors, the "Dragon Mirror" and the "Phoenix Mirror." This is how
Ryo learns of another mirror at his house. Master Chen tells him to get
the "Phoenix Mirror" and return to him. But make sure you call him
first.

--------------------
---Phoenix Mirror---
--------------------

After your conversation with Master Chen, you will then wake up at the
next day in your room. You might wanna save here. Find Ine-san in the
house and talk to her. She will tell you that Fuku-san is looking for
you. Go outside and go towards the dojo. You will see him by the tree.
Go that way and you'll enter into a conversation with him. He will tell
you he told Ine-san everything. Ryo asks him about the mirror. He
doesn't know anything about it. Ryo then goes to ask Ine-san. Ine-san
heard everything, Fuku-san is to loud. She tells you of an antique shop
and an item that your father stored there.

The Antique shop is located past the Tomato Convenience Store in
Dobuita. It is called Bunkado Antiques. When you enter, you just have
to sit back and watch. You will talk to the owner of the shop. He will
give his condolences for your fathers death. Ryo ask about the item.
The owner gives you the item. It is the Hazuki Family Sword Handguard.
You know where this goes right? Think back to the dojo...under the left
tapestry. When you leave the antique shop, head back to your place.

On your way through Sakuragoaka, you'll run into a free battle. This
time with Gui Zhang. You will at first think he is working for Lan Di.
The fight won't actually end. It will just stop quickly. Gui Zhang
will then explain he is your bodyguard, and that it is important for you
to get the other mirror. After the conversation, the camera will scroll
to a nearby house rooftop. There you will see a little bald guy on top
of the house mention Lan Di and the Phoenix Mirror. This is Chai, a
really annoying character. Continue on home, but stop by to check out
the cat on your way back. You will enter a scene with Nozomi. It isn't
much, but you might wanna check it out.

When you enter your yard, you will talk with Fuku-san. You will ask him
about the sword handguard. He says it may be a family crest of sorts.
It is then suggested you talk to Ine-san about it. You can find her in
the altar room. When you talk to her, she tells you about the Hazuki
family crest. The snow ring, two stars, one sword. Before you head to
the dojo, make sure you have a flashlight. You might have to buy one at
the store.

In the dojo, go to the back wall. Remove the tapestry, examine the
slot. Then use the handguard on it. This will unlock a switch, and
allow you to push the wall around, leading you to a ladder that goes
down into the Hazuki basement. When you get to the basement, turn your
flashlight on and follow the hallway until you reach a room.

First search the shelf on the right side of the room. You should find a
box of matches, a "Stab Armor" move scroll, and a candle you can light
with matches. Also check the red chest alongside the right wall. You
will find a photo of your father and a friend.

Check along the back wall of the room. You will find a few items Ryo
will observe, but won't keep. Check the book on top of the chest. Ryo
will find a "white leaf" inside of it. Check the mirror out and Ryo
will notice a talisman on the back side of the shelf along the left side
of the wall. Also, the bottom drawer of the stand with the mirror has a
candle in it.

Alongside the left wall you will find a few boxes. Open the top one,
and it will contain a scroll. Not to important. Examine the floor to
the left of the shelf. You will notice scratches. Go up to the side of
the shelf and press the A BUTTON. You will then move the shelf. Note
the wall where the shelf was. One block is different colored. If you
check the wall, you'll notice that the colored block and the main wall
make different sounds. You can get it open somehow. Go back to towards
the entrance of the room. You'll find a axe there. Use it on the wall.
You will break the wall and find the Phoenix Mirror. The game will then
automatically exit you from the basement and put you in the dojo where
Fuku-san will talk to you. He thinks your possessed by the mirror.
Crazy guy.

Call up Master Chen from your house and tell him your coming to see him.
Make sure you remember the password of Heaven, Dragon, Earth, Comrade.
Now head to the bus stop and leave for the harbor. Go to the old
warehouse district. Just talk to the guard, no need to sneak around
this time.

When you talk to Master Chen, he will explain the point of the two
mirrors and give you some info on them. During this time Chai(the bald
laughing guy from earlier) will jump down and take the mirror. This
will trigger a QTE of just a quick tap of the left directional pad. Gui
Zhang will then mention that Chai might be a member of the Mad Angel's,
a local harbor gang. Master Chen also mentions that Lan Di may have
already gone to Hong Kong. The game places you back at your house,
talking with Fuku-san about going to Hong Kong.

-----------------------
---Hong Kong Or Bust---
-----------------------

Now you must get to Hong Kong. When you awaken, you find a check(I
guess) on your desk and get a lot of yen. But still not enough for Hong
Kong. Before you leave, you have to talk to Fuku-san. You tell him
about your plans to go to Hong Kong. He tells you there are some travel
agencies in Dobuita. You decide to try to get help from Ine-san. Fuku-
san insists on helping. When you talk to Ine-san, you tell her your
going on a trip. Then Fuku-san says Hong Kong and ruins everything for
you. Ryo says he will have to do this for himself.

On your way to Dobuita, stop by to check on the cat. Megumi will tell
you it is missing(noooo!!!). It is easy to find. Just go back in the
direction of your house and down those steps alongside the road. It is
over by one of the houses. When you find the cat, you will get an event
with Nozomi again.

On to Dobuita. Go down the road and you should find a travel agency
across from Aida's Florist at the corner behind the vegetable stand. Go
inside and talk to the lady. She will be very annoying, but give you
the pamphlet. Now you must go back and talk to Fuku-san. He looks at
the pamphlet and decides to help you out. He lets you crack his piggy
bank open and have the money. 39,000+ yen. Good Fuku-san. Still not
enough for the ticket though. He tells you to ask Nozomi and you can
find her at Aida's Florist. On your way there, you might notice a guy
by the soda machine at the entrance to Dobuita. You know, the guy you
helped out earlier by buying him a soda. Talk to him. He tells you to
go by boat. Cheap too. Go back to that travel agency that you were at
earlier. Talk to the girl there, and ask her about the boat ticket.
She will ignore you, but eventually take your money. She tells you to
return in 3 or 4 hours. So, go kill some time practicing or playing
arcade games.

Okay, you killed a few hours, time to return to the travel agency. The
hell? Who are these guys? Where is the lazy girl that used to be
there? Anyways, Ryo will complain, the guys will start trouble, Ryo
will handle it on his own without your help. Jimmy said he will call
you tomorrow morning. When you wake up the next morning, Fuku-san
answers the phone, and then Ryo gets it. Jimmy tells you to pick up the
ticket at the You Arcade at noon(12pm).

Just show up to the arcade anytime before 12, you should go into the
sequence anyways. If not, wait until 12. When you enter, you get
attacked by Chai(the weird bald guy). He blabbers on about some stuff
and eats your ticket(yes, he EATS it). He mentions Lan Di, and Ryo
thinks he works for Lan Di. You find out that he doesn't work for Lan
Di, but rather, wants to work for him. He says he will tell you about
Lan Di if you prove stronger than him. You then get a free battle with
him. I myself have never beaten him in this free battle, but I have
heard you can. Anyways, if you lose, Fuku-san will come in and help you
back home, where you will rest. The next day you must return to Asia
Travel company, the same travel company where you bought your ticket.

When you reach the travel agency, they will be closed, that is odd. Ryo
will knock on the door, Jimmy will open it. He will get scared, try to
shut it but Ryo will pull him out. He will then shove you away and
start running. Time for a QTE. This will probably be one of the most
difficult QTE's in the game. Chase the guy down, and you will catch up
to him. Ryo will then start to question him...but the suspense builds.
Why? It is the end of disc 2!!! Congratulations. Your two thirds of
the way through the game.

=========================
8. DISC 3 WALKTHROUGH
=========================

Disc 3 starts off in the Asia Travel company building. Ryo is
questioning Jimmy. Jimmy doesn't have any tickets to Hong Kong and
tries to give you one to the Phillipines. You ask him about Chai. He
doesn't know much about him but says he is probably part of the MAD
ANGELS gang. They control the harbor and extort and harass the workers.
He says you can find out more by getting a job there. Time to head to
the harbor.

-------------------
---Getting A Job---
-------------------

Now you have to get a job at the harbor. This can be a tad bit tricky.
When you enter the harbor, go straight ahead, until you are near
warehouse #18, talk to the guard near that warehouse. He will tell you
to talk to a foreman in warehouse #18. Go in there. The foreman will
tell you that they are already full, but he saw a guy your age around
warehouse #12. You can reach warehouse #12 by going towards the
entrance of the harbor and down the road towards the new warehouse #8
from earlier. Then when you reach the lunch stand, continue straight
ahead, you should see text on the ground that says where they warehouses
are. Just continue straight ahead and you will run into a cut scene
with Goro. He says he knows all about the harbor. You tell him you
want a job. He then says meet him in front of the big blue door of
warehouse #1 tomorrow at noon. So you have some time to kill for now.

But, before you wait until the next day. Learn where warehouse #1 is.
It is back by the lunch stand. Look on the ground there, you should see
an arrow pointing to warehouses number 1 through 11. Go down that route
and turn left, you should see the big blue door from a distance. Go up
to it and make sure it is warehouse #1.

When noon rolls around, head over to warehouse #1. Talk to Goro and
Mai. You find out you have an appointment with Yada-san at Alpha
Trading Office by 2pm. They show the office when Mai tells you about
it, so it shouldn't be that hard to find. Actually, just walk out past
warehouse #1 in the direction of the water and you should see it to your
left. Go there now and talk to Yada-san. He says you can start right
away. He takes you to an area where you learn how to work the forklift
from Mark.

He tells you to different things such as go forward(R TRIGGER) and
backwards(L TRIGGER), and then raise and lower the fork(A BUTTON). You
can even honk the horn by pressing the UP direction. He then wants you
to train for the rest of the day by moving the crates into the nearby
warehouse #3. After you finish(5pm), you'll end up back in the office
with your boss. He gives you your first pay check. It is 300 yen per
crate. Tomorrow you start a real work day. Each day you have a
quota(certain number of crates to be transferred). If you meet that
quota, you get a raise in your pay by 50 yen. So keep meeting quotas
daily and get raises!!

Now that you have a job at the docks, it is now time to find out more
about the Mad Angels. Kill some time until night. I call up Master
Chen and get an appointment and go get my "Mysterious Scroll" item read
to kill some time.

Once it is nighttime, go towards the Alpha Trading Office, you should go
into an event. 2 men on motorcycles will be chasing a bum down. You
will intervene and end up having to do a motorcycle race. If you win,
the guys will leave the bum alone. The race is a simple QTE. This was
your first interaction with the Mad Angels gang. After the race, time
to head on home as it is getting late.

-------------
---Day One---
-------------

When you wake up, you'll notice that you are getting up an hour early
now, at 7:30am. You will then automatically start at the harbor. Now
it is time to meet with Mark. What did he want to meet you early for.
You soon find out. A forklift race. You find out this is done before
each day of work as a warmup. Whatever place you get, you will get a
forklift toy price with the number being the place you won(i.e. 5th
place Forklift #5).

It is time for your first real day at work. Mark will tell you where
the crates go, and even give you a map to see where they go. I'm not
gonna tell you how to get to the places, as it shouldn't be to
challenging now. You should be able to find your way around. Just make
sure to me your quota. You might find it easier to work if you press
the X BUTTON and get a first person view.

When the clock reaches 12, you get to go on your 2 hour lunch break.
Before you can do anything though, you see Mark getting picked on by 2
members of the Mad Angels who are asking him if he knows Chen. You come
over and enter a free battle with them. Smack them around a bit. Mark
will tell you they were asking about Chen, but he doesn't know a Chen.

When you are back from break and start putting more crates into
warehouse #18, you'll get caught by 3 Mad Angels. They are asking for
their "insurance" money. Again, beat the crap out of them and they will
run off scared. Finish up your work, or do as much as you can before
5pm, when you get off.

After you pick up your paycheck from the foreman(hopefully you got a
raise), when you exit outside, you will talk to Goro. Ryo will ask
about the Mad Angels, Goro will say that is taboo around that area. He
will then mention a rumor or some kid getting killed by the Mad Angels.

Head back past the Alpha Trading Office. You should enter a cut scene
where Gui Zhang meets you and teaches you a move. Accept, and learn the
move. He will then talk to you for a bit.

Afterwards, go back towards the entrance of the harbor, and then go into
the big open area in front of the Tomato Convenience store, you should
meet the bum again. You will learn another move from him. You will
learn he knows of the Hazuki style of martial arts. By now, it is
probably late. Go home and sleep.

-------------
---Day Two---
-------------

When you get to work, finish up the race, and then begin your work.
During your break, you can practice in warehouse #4. Also talk to the
bum by the Tomato Convenience Store. He will be setting under the
stairs. He will tell you that the Mad Angel's are backed by a Chinese
cartel. As you work through the day, you'll get attacked around 4 on
your way to warehouse #3. Just beat up the punks, and Ryo will ask if
they know where the Mad Angels are. They will tell you they hang out in
the back of warehouse #17.

After work, head towards warehouse #17. You'll see Mark getting beat up
again. This guy just can't get a break can he? This is probably your
hardest fight up until now. The guy in the camoflauge jacket may cause
you some problems, as he doesn't get beat up easily.

After helping Mark, you'll learn he was looking for his brother. He
thinks his brother may have been killed for leaking some sort of info.
You learn the info was that the Mad Angels were making a deal with the
Chi You Men. When your done with Mark, find Goro. He makes laps around
the harbor, so he should be easy to find. Talk to him, and he tells you
the Mad Angels gather at night.

Walk towards the Tomato Convenience Store again where the bum is. You
should go into an automated event where the bum teaches you more of the
Shadow Step move. You will then learn the Shadow Blade move.

Talking to the bum again, you'll learn the bikers hang out in front of
the Harbor Cafeteria at night(right next to the Tomato Convenience
Store). By now it is late, and you've done all you can. Head on home.

---------------
---Day Three---
---------------

Well, do the usual at work until break comes along. When it is break
time, Nozomi will come talk to you with her friend. You will learn that
Nozomi is going to Canada. You get to take two photos with her, and get
to choose them. They will be one where you are close together, the
other is where you stand at a distance. I've taken both, and haven't
really noticed anything differently. Things seem better when I choose
the one on the left(the one with the distance), and allow Nozomi to keep
the one where it looks like Ryo cares.

When you get off work, kill some time until 7pm, when it gets dark.
When the time comes, head on over to the Tomato Convenience Store in the
harbor, you should enter a QTE where you get involved in a motorcycle
chase after Charlie. This is one of my favorite QTE's. This one is a
little different than the others, as you have more than one choice at
times. But it is pretty simple.

After catching up to Charlie, you find out it was a trap and you get
jumped by numerous Mad Angel gang members. They are pretty easy to take
out. Afterwards, Charlie fights you. He is a little more difficult,
but shouldn't be much of a problem if you have praticed. Beat him up,
and learn some more info. Lan Di is still in the harbor!! Afterwards,
he pleas to you, to not tell anyone he said anything or they will kill
him. Hmm, and he was just planning on killing you, what a fool! You
won't be able to find out much more tonight. Head on home and get some
sleep.

--------------
---Day Four---
--------------

The next day, after break, while your carting crates to warehouse #18,
you will enter an automated event. You'll see Goro on the ground,
beaten up. You then see the white sailor guy, and chase him. He lures
you into a trap, where you get jumped again. This time it is a QTE.
Just beat them up as usual. The sailor threatens your family, Ryo hits
him again, and then continues with work.

After work, when you exit the building, you will talk to Mark. He tells
you about a Long Zha deal. After talking to Mark, head towards the food
stand(Hokuhoku Lunches), and then cut to your left and go towards
warehouse #1, you should see two men in brown jackets talking, two
foreman. Talk to them, one will tell you of two foreigners that have
looked suspicious.

If you go towards the Tomato Convenience Store, and near the bum under
the stairs, he will teach you another move. It is the Cross Charge(->-
>Y+B). It is useful agains multiple opponents.

Afterwards, you won't really be able to find out anything else tonight.
So head on home and get some sleep, and prepare for the next day of
work.

--------------
---Day Five---
--------------

The next day, during your break, you find out that Mai and Goro are
gonna get married! Go Goro! Anyways, kill some time until break is
over. Maybe practice in warehouse #4.

When you start working again, eventually, as you are taking crates to
warehouse #18, you'll enter a cutscene where you will see Tony and Smith
talking. You enter a QTE and chase them down, then it splits off, you
can chase either one and get the same info from both. They tell you the
boss of the Mad Angels is a guy named Terry. Afterwards, you are in
your bosses office, he pays you and gives you a note from Gui Zhang,
telling you that the Mad Angels are after you. You then go to Master
Chen, and talk to him for a bit. He tells you a little info, and tells
you not to get involved. Ryo says he will back down...yeah right.

-------------------------
---Nozomi Is Kidnapped---
-------------------------

So, head on home and get some sleep. Hmm, odd, Ryo is waking up at
11:45pm. Oh it is to get some fresh air, okay. Hmm, now you find out
from Ine-san, Nozomi is missing. Then a mysterious phone call!! It is
Chai, the Mad Angels have Nozomi. Noooo! Now you must quickly get to
the harbor, but how? The buses have stopped running. And you surely
can't walk all that way.

When you get to Sakuragoaka, and get to Abe Store, turn right. You
should see a motorcycle there. Now go near the gate to the house, and
talk in the speaker thing. You'll get to borrow the motorcycle and use
that to get to the harbor. The controls of the motorcycle are the same
as the forklift basically. R TRIGGER to speed up, L TRIGGER to brake.
Amazing, the time changed real fast!! Anyways, you have a minute or two
to get to the harbor. Try to not hit walls, it will slow you down to
much, use the brake occasionally, okay! Anyways, once you get to a
certain point, Ryo will take control, and stop in front of warehouse
#17.

Ryo will encounter some members of the Mad Angels and enter a Free
Battle. They shouldn't be to much of a hassle. After taking care of
them, you enter the warehouse. Then you encounter even more gang
members, and get yet another Free Battle. Another person tries to
attack you, but Terry stops them.

You talk to Terry a bit, and he makes a deal with you. If you cripple
Gui Zhang, you'll get the girl back. Ryo accepts and gets Nozomi, he
then tells Terry to take him to Lan Di also. Terry doesn't want to at
first, but says he will. All he has to do is cripple Gui Zhang.
Afterwards, Ryo will take Nozomi home, and then return home.

----------------
---Final Days---
----------------

When you wake up, pay attention to the notebook. This was not brought
up in the conversation. It will tell you to go to warehouse #9, at
10pm. The game will do this for you, so you don't have to worry.
You'll see Ryo in the dojo remembering his father.

Ryo then gets on the bus to go to the harbor. You then get to the
harbor...past 10 o' clock when he gets to the harbor. Ryo then goes and
talks to Tom rather than work. Then afterwards, he goes to the Alpha
Trading Office, and gets fired. You then get a notice in your notebook
to talk with everybody.

Go talk with Tom. He will offer to teach you a move, the Tornado Kick.
Of course accept it and learn it(->->AA). Afterwards you'll learn that
Tom is going back to America. You then go to a scene where Ryo is
watching Tom fly to America in a plane.

---------------------------------------
---70 Person Free Battle Time Attack---
---------------------------------------

The game will then move to 10pm, where you will meet one of the Mad
Angels and he will tell you Gui Zhang comes through this area at 10pm.
When Gui Zhang comes, you will enter a Free Battle with him. Just fight
with him for awhile, and it will end with you both taking each other
out, and laying on the ground. Terry will show up and try to kill you
both, and you will have to do a QTE. Afterwards, you will chase Terry.
This is when you enter the 70 man fight. You will have to go up against
gang member after gang member, but you have the help of Gui Zhang.

*NOTE* This is NOT the 70 man fight you are timed on. This is the
regular 70 man fight in the game. The timed one is in the options of
disc 3 AFTER you beat the game and save it.

This fight can be challenging, not neccesarily due to hard enemies, but
due to the large amount. You can easily lose this. There are also 3
bosses in it. If you start running low on health, run from the enemy,
until it goes up some. Also remember Gui Zhang is there to help you
out. You'll know a boss because they get an entrance. Also note, if
your curious as to how many you have taken down, look at your VMU, it
tells you how many you've taken out.

When you get about 66 guys taken out, the big man jumps down. You
remember that huge guy with Terry at the warehouse. Well, you gotta
fight him, not only is he huge, strong, but he is very quick. If you
run low on energy, run away for awhile, then return. Be careful, he
chases you down though.

After you take out all the men, Gui Zhang fights Terry. You have a part
in this, you take care of a QTE, by removing a pole from Terry's hand.
Afterwards, you learn Chai took Lan Di to the boat.

After the fight, it is early morning. You talk to Gui Zhang for a
little bit. He says he will help you get to Hong Kong.

----------------------
---Off To Hong Kong---
----------------------

When you wake up the next morning, Ryo leaves for the harbor. On his
way out of the house though, Fuku-san stops him. He hands him a
envelope with money from him and Ine-san. They then wish him good luck.
Ryo then leaves and you watch him walk through Dobuita.

Ryo arrives at the harbor, and meets Gui Zhang and Master Chen. You
learn that Gui Zhang will go with you. For two reasons, Ryo is
reckless, and that they must know what Lan Di is doing also.

Master Chen will then teach you the Swallow Flip(->+XA). After you
learn the move, it will show a sequence where Chai kicks a beam down and
tries to kill you. Gui Zhang pushes you out of the way, but injures
himself in doing so. You then fight Chai. This is a tough battle, as
Chai is very quick. But you can beat him as long as you have practiced.
Use kick attacks, as they are more affective against Chai.

After you beat Chat he will then tell you that Lan Di has left for Hong
Kong. They then show Lan Di on the boat. After the game comes back to
Ryo, you will enter a QTE when Chai gets back up. Finish him off. You
then talk to Gui Zhang and learn he is to injured to go with you, but
will catch up with you in Hong Kong when he is healed. Master Chen then
gives you the address of Tao Li Shao, a elder in Hong Kong.

Ryo then climbs the steps up to the boat, and gives a look back and
remembers a moment with Nozomi. In the memory, Nozomi gives Ryo an
amulet. It then comes back to Ryo, and he enters the boat. They then
show the boat sailing off, Ryo on the deck, in a "I'm the king of the
world" type moment. Then they show Master Chen looking on. They then
have a voice, reading page 6 of the manuel, about the saga of Ryo
beginning.

Congratulations, you have just beat the game. Confused? There are
supposedly 16 chapters to the game. So, that means the next Shenmue
released, chapter 2, will start with you on your way to Hong Kong. Now,
one more thing. WAIT UNTIL THE CREDITS FINISH ROLLING!!! You get the
option to save it afterwards.

8. MINI-GAMES
=========================

I am only giving a brief description of these games. If you would like
more information on these games, please view other FAQ's here at
GameFAQs.com.

-------------------
---Space Harrier---
-------------------

A basic run and shoot type game. The object is to clear the stages and
get a highscore.

Controls:
A, B, X, Y BUTTONS - Fire Weapon
CONTROL PAD - Move
ANALOG - Move

-------------
---Hang-On---
-------------

This game is a classic. It is a great superbike racing game. Try to
complete the race by passing under checkpoints to gain more time. The
farther you go, the more points you get.

Controls:
A BUTTON - Accelerator
R TRIGGER - Accelerator(faster than A BUTTON)
L TRIGGER - Brake
CONTROL PAD - Steer
ANALOG - Steer

-------------
---Darts 7---
-------------

Basicall you get to play darts. Reach 120, go on to the next round.
Reach 240, go to the final round. Ryo's hand will move by itself.

Controls:
A BUTTON - Throw dart

-----------------
---Excite QTE2---
-----------------

This is a quick timer event. I will not list the controls here, as
there are really none. You just have to hit the buttons on the
controller after they appear on the screen. The faster you go, the more
points you get.

---------------
---QTE Title---
---------------

Very similar to Excite QTE2, except this is easier. It does not use all
main buttons on the controller, rather it uses only the A, B, and X
BUTTONS.

------------------
---Slot Machine---
------------------

Well, how basic does this get, you play slots, duh! They range in token
price though. Some cost a lot, while others are only 1 token.

Controls:
A BUTTON - Pull the lever, choose options.
B BUTTON - Cancel, quit.
CONTROL PAD - Move the cursor
START - Pause the game.

---------------------------
---70 Person Free Battle---
---------------------------

You know what this one is. You had to do this to beat the game. But,
to be timed on this event, you must choose it from the Options screen on
Disc 3. No need for the controls, you should know them by now.

-------------------
---Forklift Race---
-------------------

Again, no need for controls. You know what this is, you've done it to
beat the game. You can only play this a few times. And that is when
you work. This is not like the forementioned 70 Person Free Battle.
You can't just choose this in the options. So, if you wish to rank
high, don't talk to people and keep working so you get to do the race in
the morning.
