This FAQ, and all 22 other of my FAQ/Walkthroughs, are now dedicated to the
over 6,000 innocent people killed in the World Trade Center and Pentagon
terrorist attacks in New York City, New York, and Washington, D.C., on
September 11, 2001. To all of the innocent working people, and FDNY Firemen, as
well as other emergency workers, you will always be remembered. We won't stop
until we bring these criminals to justice, your deaths were NOT IN VAIN! God
Bless America, death to all terrorists of all races everywhere.

Welcome one, welcome all, to my Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars
FAQ/Walkthrough. (Please note, for now on I'll be referring to "Zone of the
Enders" in the form of its widely known acronym, "ZOE"). This a FAQ/Walkthrough
for a wonderfully made Game Boy Advance game, branching off an original, simply
called Zone of the Enders, that was on the Playstation2, and released
midsummer, 2001, by Konami.

While I'm not really going to divulge information on this title as far as plot
or storyline here (that what section IV, the next section, is for), but a
little information on ZOE: The Fist of Mars is certainly in order. ZOE: The
Fist of Mars was released for the Game Boy Advance on March 06, 2002 in the
United States, around eight months after the release of the original ZOE game
on the Playstation2. The two games play quite similarly, and if you like one,
you'll certainly like the other. But that aside, welcome to my FAQ/Walkthrough.
Your input, suggestions, comments and complaints are ALWAYS welcome. If you
have any, please feel free to e-mail me. And now, on with the guide!

ZOE: The Fist of Mars is a very plot-driven game, so understanding the
storyline is pretty important if you want to suceed in the game. Below is the
storyline as found in the ZOE: The Fist of Mars' instruction manual that came
with the game. So they AREN'T my words, they are Konami's, and whoever wrote
the manual, copyrighted to Konami, (c) 2002. Here we go...

The Year: 2173 A.D.

Space exploration has yielded human colonies throughout the solar system: on
the Moon, Mars, and even as far as Jupiter.

The story unfolds on board the Bonaparte III, a migration ship on which the
main character, Cage, works alongside his best friend, Ares. Just prior to
arriving at Mars, its final destination, the Bonaparte III is involved in an
accident with a mysterious Black Frame, and goes down in flames.

Led by a strange young girl who calls herself Myona, Cage embarks on Testament,
an unregistered LEV (Laborious Extra-Orbital Vehicle), which delivers them to
the surface of Mars. Upon their arrival on the red planet they are greeted not
by a rescue team, but by an arrest warrant on charges of "unlawful seizure of
top-secret weaponry." Confused and alone in his cell, Cage is at a loss as to
what he should do.

Just then, destiny intervenes and sends Cage much-needed assistance - in the
form of Ares, who was believed dead in the Bonaparte explosion, and the Anti-
Terrestrial League BIS, a Martian resistance group.

What is the "Black Frame," that brought the Bonaparte III to its fiery doom?

Who is Myona, the girl without a past?

And what is the secret hidden within the frame that aided Cage in his escape?

It is in the midst of these clouds of mystery that Cage, working together with
the Resistance, begins to ponder the ethics of battle and the concept of
fighting for the sake of others. What could possibly await the youth at the end
of his journey?

Are hatred and revenge the only outlets for grief and sadness?

Thus, the latest chapter in the Zone of the Enders sage begins.....

END STORY

Again, the above story is straight out of the ZOE: The Fist of Mars instruction
manual, that came with the game, copyrighted to Konami, (c) 2002.

Below are the bios for each character found in the game. They are basically
just "must knows" on each character... their age, and whatnot, then a short
description. It's that simple.

Oh, and they're in alphabetical order by first/only name, NOT last name! It's
easier that way, don't you think?

*****

-Name: Amante Furlair
-Age: 16 (?)
-Description: Amante takes the place of Nadia after she fails Bolozof for the
last time and nearly gets executed in the huge UNSF mishap when they supposidly
capture BIS members, when they really just take people off the streets to use
as examples. She is completely arrogant, just like her master, Bolozof, and
will do anything he asks of her. She drives the Bizac with skill, but not as
much skill as Nadia did... and she's just as afraid of failing Bolozof as Nadia
was, too.

*****

-Name: Ares Enduwa
-Age: 17
-Description: A very headstrong and intelligent individual, Ares is Cage's best
friend, and was his companion and superior on the Bonaparte III, up to when it
was destroyed by Black Frame, which sent both he and Cage to the Martian
surface, where they stumbled upon BIS, and both joined up, along with Myona.
Ares is extremly loyal to his friends and BIS, and fights to the bitter end.

*****

-Name: Bolozof Velasgo
-Age: 29
-Description: Bolozof is basically a puppet of the powerful Bezeele Zephyrs.
However, Bolozof has his own things going for him. While arrogant and evil by
nature, Bolozof is an extremely skilled fighter, and drives his personally made
LEV, Bizac S, with the utmost of skill and know-how. The BIS and his UNSF-led
forces often collide, making him someone you fight throughout the entire
game... unfortunately for him, you're often too much for him to handle.

*****

-Name: Cage Midwell
-Age: 17
-Description: Cage is the main character in the game, and becomes the powerful
rider of the Orbital Frame called Testament. Before that, he was a spacekid,
going from ship to ship until he was on the Bonaparte III that faitful day...
when it was destroyed by Black Frame and crashed to the Martian surface. Since
then, he works for BIS (Born In Space), and basically trying to keep the peace.

*****

-Name: Deckson Geyse
-Age: 42
-Description: Deckson is the founder and leader of the BIS movement. An ex-UNSF
LEV pilot, Deckson left the UNSF in pursuit of the freedom cause after his wife
divorced him and he was stripped of his family. In the absence of any family in
his life, he takes the young BIS members under his wings, and looks at them as
children. Very modest, he often battles and puts himself in harms way, and
looks for (and gets no) thanks for his troubles. Yet, he continues to do it,
simply for the cause.

*****

-Name: Dezeele Zephyrs
-Age: 49
-Description: Lab supervisor for the powerful UNSF, Dezeele Zephyrs (often just
called "Zephyrs") is an arrogant and self-serving man, who stops at nothing to
get what he wants out of anything he deems fit. While not a lot is known about
him, he is one of the masterminds behind a lot of what's going on between the
UNSF and the BIS, and has a personal relationship with Bolozof, which gets him
what he wants militarily, quickly.

*****

-Name: Mebius K. Lylekraft
-Age: 26
-Description: Mature (even for her age), Mebius can be considered the second in
command of BIS, oftentimes working right alongside Deckson on the most
important mission plannings. There is a little tension between her and Deckson
that obviously goes beyond the "workplace relationship," but regardless, she
keeps it professional, and so does Deckson. Do they want it like that? Who
knows, but one thing's for sure... BIS' success is due in large part to the all
around tenacious efforts of Mebius.

*****

-Name: Myona Alderan
-Age: 17
-Description: Myona is an innocent looking girl, who was the tragic bystandard
of the Bonaparte III explosion. Right after Cage found her hiding in the cargo
hold of the Bonaparte III, the ship was destroyed by Black Frame and brought to
the surface of Mars. Through this accident, she suffers from amnesia, and
remembers little bits of her past as time goes on. In the mean time, she fights
for the BIS and stay quiet...

*****

-Name: Nadia Candido
-Age: 19
-Description: Nadia acts as a right hand woman to Bolozof, but she is primarily
his mistress. Nadia keeps failing Bolozof in battle, and he eventually
dismisses her and tries to have her executed, only to ironically have the BIS
rescue her in her hour of need. The fact that a 16 year old girl (Amante)
replaced her at Bolozof's side infuriates her... but she's only Martian to
Bolozof... so it doesn't matter to him.

*****

-Name: Ned Noachim
-Age: 27
-Description: Often called "Scarface" for an incident in his past, Ned was
Zephyrs' right hand man, and was basically his patsy for any military act
Zephyrs desired. Ned kept getting defeated by the BIS in battle, until the day
Cage's LEV turned into an Orbital Frame, and Testament killed him for good...
which is something Cage felt very guilty about... but Mars is a better place
without Ned, anyway. =)

*****

-Name: Pharsti
-Age: None
-Description: Pharsti is Cage's Orbital Frame's AI (artificial intelligence).
Follow thusfar? Excellence. Pharsti seems to be an advanced form of AI however,
for she controls the Orbital Frame "Testament" with extreme skill, almost human
like prowess, and to a tee of what is requested by Cage. Curiousily enough, his
human-like behavior is what draws the UNSF to her... Yes, it is a her...

*****

-Name: Philbright Westriverside Warehouserock XXVI
-Age: 17
-Description: Okay, no, that's not a joke name. That really IS Phil's name. In
anycase, Phil is a guy, but yes, he totlly looks like a woman. I even refer to
Phil as a chick in the walkthrough section of the guide for the first ten
scenes, and am just too lazy to edit it now, because I honest to god thought
Phil was a chick. In anycase, Phil's expertise lie in computers; hacking,
primarily. He's useful to BIS for his great skill with electronics in general,
but makes himself useful in BIS by breaking into computers for the BIS' gain.

*****

-Name: Razma Cascade Jr.
-Age: 19
-Description: Razma is a member of BIS, who is always chasing around the
ladies. When he's not hitting on any girl in site, however, Razma is on the
front lines of all BIS battles, ready to put himself into harm's way for the
sake of the cause. He can sometimes be immature, but his skill in battle and
dedication to the BIS is unwavering. And something is up with him and Semyl...
but what?

*****

-Name: Robin O'Connell
-Age: 33
-Description: An attractive woman, Robin O'Connell funds the BIS single-
handidly. Everything the BIS has, can do, and will do, is due to the fundage
raised by her "Robin Foundation" which she calls the bank account which the BIS
funnels all of its money out of. Her and her assitant Twede are often found
around the BIS headquarters giving the BIS new instructions on what to do now,
but why would she funnel all of this money into the organization unless there
was something in it for her...?

*****

-Name: Semyl Shambrow
-Age: 16
-Description: Semyl is a young, outgoing member of the BIS. She was raised in
an orphanage, and because of that, she feels she has something to fight for -
the well-being and future of her brothers and sisters she left back at the
orphanage, when she joined the BIS at a pretty early age, compared to its other
members. And there's definetly something brewing with her and Razma... but
what?

*****

-Name: Tadamichi E. Yukito
-Age: 24
-Description: Tadamichi E. Yukito is a pure-hearted and loyal individual, who
demands that no one calls him by his first name of Tadamichi, but instead
prefers to be called Yukito, his last name. While no one really knows why he
demands this, one thing is for certain. Yukito's true strengths lie in battle,
when he's hardened battle skills come to the forefront. He's often on the front
line of BIS battles with the UNSF and other foes.

*****

-Name: Twede Grey
-Age: 30-something
-Description: Twede is a mysterious (and creepy) character indeed. He is Robin
O'Donnell's personal secretary, almost like an executive assistant. He seems to
sneak up on the party out of nowhere with different bulletins of interest to
BIS. It seems, however, that he is often defiant of Ms. O'Donnell, and
questions her decisions with regularity. He looks like a CIA agent... very
stern and serious.

*****

-Name: Warren Lumenlux
-Age: 33
-Description: Warren is pretty badass. In his 33 years, he's been everything
from a bounty hunter and mercenary to a space pilot and in the army. However,
he ended up on Mars, and joined up with the BIS after he figured his days in
the money-making business were up. Warren is an extremly gifted fighter, and is
smart in all things combat-related. BIS members often look to him for guidance
and assistance in battle, to which he'll gladly agree... even if does stay
pretty quiet while he does so. He lets his actions do the talking. Nothing
wrong with that, though.

The one point of ZOE: The Fist of Mars that makes it so interesting (and fun)
to play is the battle system, and the physics of the gameplay itself. There are
so many choices you can make in a battle, it makes it almost like an RPG, but
more of a strategy game, like Tactics Ogre or Final Fantasy Tactics, as far as
how you fight and whatnot.

When you enter a battle, you'll be on a battle grid. You'll know what I'm
talking about when you see what it is, because it is quite literally a grid
(looking like a graph, et cetera). This is where battles take place. Your moves
and attacks, as well as a certain number of options in battle are all affected
by the grid system in the game, because depending on what kind of craft you're
fighting with, level, weaponry, and other factors, this depends on how far you
can move on the grid, and how far certain weapons can attack, as well as how
many times you can move and attack per turn. Sometimes you can only attack, and
not move, in a turn. Sometimes you can only do the opposite in one turn.
Sometimes, you might not be able to do either.

The battle system, however, is fairly easy to get the hang of. At the beginning
of a regular turn in battle, you will have the following options:

-Attack
-Move
-Wait

To attack, select the command, and then select a weapon (viable for how close
or far you are from your enemy, and other factors) for attacking your enemy
from your available weapons list. Don't worry - if you can't attack with a
certain weapon, and you select it, the game won't let you, so try everything
out, if you understand what I'm saying.

To move your craft, select move, and then place your cursor over a red square
on the grid (which is where you can move), and select whatever square you want.

To do nothing and wait, select wait.

Keep in mind that you can almost always move and attack in the same turn!

After all of your craft have gone in battle, it's time to end the phase. Select
any square on the grid that isn't a character or enemy, and this list will come
up.

-Phase End
-Unit List
-Goal
-Options
-Save
-Retreat

Phase End is what I discussed above. Select this command to throw the game over
to the enemy, so they can complete their turn.

To see stats and various numbers for everyone in your party, select Unit List,
and you can see everyone's stats, as well as their craft's stats.

To see what you have to accomplish in battle (as killing all of the enemies
isn't always the solution), select Goal. Keep in mind, there is often more than
one way of completing a scene, and alternativly, there is often more than one
way of losing a scene.

If you want to go to the "Intermission" screen (the same screen that you go to
after each scene is over to save and regroup), select Options and you'll be
brought there right away.

To save your game exactly where you are in battle, you'll obviously want to
select Save.

If you feel that you are to over-powered in battle, you can select Retreat to
leave the battle. You will have to fight the battle again, however! So make
sure it's worth it.

Welcoem to the main section of the guide, the Walkthrough. No jibber-jabber
here, lets get on with it!

Turn on your game, and select NEW GAME. Then watch the long scrolling scene,
reading up on the history of the "Enders" and the various conflicts in the
past, that set up the storyline for the game.

 ----- --
-SCENE 01-
 ----- --

After the scrolling ends, you'll be taken to space, to the Bonaparte III, a
Mars-bound spacecraft. You'll cut to Cage, the main character, who is being
accussed by "Scary Guy" of stealing money from him. They go back and forth, and
Ares, your best friend, comes in and gives the man the wallet he "lost",
uncovering his scheme. The Scary Man's name ends up being Lewy, and he gives
you his Handy PC as a gift to you. They finish up their conversation when they
near Deimos Airport... or so they think...

The scene then cuts to the pilots of the Bonaparte III, who seem to have a
problem. Meanwhile, Cage sees a girl in a restricted area, and asks her to
leave, when suddenly, the ship collides with something and the emergency
systems of the Bonaparte III take over. Cage and the girl (who you find out is
named Myona), are trapped in the cargo hold of the ship after the collision,
and Cage calls for Ares' help. They eventually find an LEV (mech) in the cargo
hold, which Myona tells Cage to board, and so he does.

In space, the LEV and the Bonaparte III break apart, and then the Bonaparte III
explodes in space. The LEV does some weird stuff, then tells you the same thing
that destroyed the Bonaparte III is heading your way. It's a Black Frame, with
2,500 HP. Engage it in battle. This is the battle where you can really get used
to the battle system, it really isn't difficult at all. You'll have to use your
basic attacks in the fight, but it won't be too difficult. Get in close, right
in front of the Black Frame, and use the Rusty Lancer over and over again until
the Black Frame decides the fight is over. When the battle is over, Black Frame
will disappear (although he was losing power), and Cage and his LEV will get
caught in the gravitational field of Mars and fall to the surface.

Everything comes back to Pharsti, Cage says, and he reflects on that battle,
which apparently happened some time ago. Save your game, and scene one will
end.

 ----- --
-SCENE 02- PERPETUAL MOTION
 ----- --

As the second scene begins, Cage and Myona talk on the LEV. Myona asks Cage
what's going on, and Cage tells her that she was the one who told him to board
the LEV and escape the Bonaparte III before it exploded. She then tells him
that she doesn't remember anything, after being knocked out and such during the
explosion and the battle with Black Frame. Naturally, they identify the illness
as amnesia. Et cetera, et cetera, and then you find out your LEV's navigation
system is name Pharsti. After some introductions (and Myona remembering a few
things), Cage attempts to find out where they are, exactly, on the Martian
surface.

Suddenly, three Security LEVs come, seemingly to the rescue, although they are
there to arrest you for destroying public property in your collision with Mars
from the atmosphere. Meanwhile, in "some room," two mysterious people are
talking about a "Plan 261" which has recently been executed - most likely the
sabotage and destruction of the Bonaparte III. Otherwise, it's pretty much
giberish what they are talking about... although it seems that one is Martian,
and the other is Earthling... can't confirm that, though. He talks about a
"plan" being completed, and then it cuts back to our friends in custody.

Back at the Security Force Interrogation Room, they identify our hero as Cage
Midwell, age 17... see, we learn more about him as time goes on. =) Cage tries
to explain to the Security Force WHY he crashed on the Martian surface, how he
was attacked by an LEV that looked like a devil after departing from the
Bonaparte III before it blew up, but they won't believe him. They accuse him of
being a terrorist, and attacking the UNSF facilities on Mars on purpose. After
some more back and forth, the Security Force interrogator points to the fact
that the news says that everyone on the Bonaparte III perished in the fatal
explosion, and according to a Lt. Noachim, the ship blew up due to unforseen
and unknown engine difficulties. As she goes on to name the people aboard the
ship who died, the Security Force interrogator has them arrested and thrown
into jail.

Once in the jailcell, Myona and Cage talk about all the possible things they
can be accusing them of, and how they are trying to cover up Black Frame's
activities, because it is a knew, unknown LEV, and that it was setting up
Cage's LEV, so that they'd probably be blamed for the attack and destruction of
the Bonaparte III. After more back and forth, a button starts playing music
that's attached to Cage, which marks when Cage and Ares started their lifelong
friendship. Suddenly, Ares gets you out of the cell (with a mysterious man's
help), and you leave the cell and secured jail area.

Outside on Mars, everyone introduces each other to everyone else. You find out
that the mysterious man's name who helped you out of the jailcell is Deckson.
Afterwards, you board Pharsti and we're ready to get going!

You'll jave to engage the two Security LEVs in battle. They're easy to beat,
and have very little attack time when they're on the offensive. They have both
Laser Blade and Hand Gun to use on you, but they'll always use the more
powerful Laser Blade. Regardless, they're easy to defeat. Like in the battle
against the Black Frame, rely on your Rusty Lancer attack to take out the wimpy
Security LEVs. If for some reason you are far from the Security LEVs on the
grid, the Tear Bullet is also an option, but it IS weaker than the Rusty
Lancer, so keep that in mind.

When they are defeated, head off security Frazier will talk to Deckson, and the
rest of you, and tell you to give yourselves up, as you are now surrounded by a
dozen or so Security LEVs. Suddenly, all of Deckson's friends appear in various
vehicles, and one actually destroys a Security LEV from a huge distance across
the grid. After awhile, you decide to try and escape the scene, so everyone
gets on the rovers while you have to guide them to a point they show you on the
left side of the grid with your LEV. You now have control of FOUR different
craft, fighting quite a few Security LEVs.

Concentrate more on getting all of the vehicles to the designated point on the
west end of the grid, then attacking the Security LEVs. Remember that the new
crafts you're guiding have long range missile attacks that you can use if
you're within the right distance from the attacking craft! Out of the eight
Security LEVs on the grid, two will most likely be in the west, attacking near
the destination, while the other six will attack from the city limits westward.
That means you can use the three modules (other than Blade's) to kill those two
easily, and have Blade's module run away westward from the Security LEVs to the
destination point. It's really simply done, you'll beat it with ease, I am
sure.

After you get Blade to the destination, the four crafts escape from the battle,
leaving the remaining Security LEVs in pursuit behind. Then, a cutscene ensues
with a Security Guard and a member of Acemos, the army's elite unit, named
Nadia. After an interesting discussion, Frazier steps in, and Nadia leaves,
saying she's going to report this to the "heads" (superiors). That's the end of
the scene, so you're brought to intermission, where you can save your game.

 ----- --
-SCENE 03- A HOPELESS HOPE
 ----- --

As the dialogue for the scene begins, your new friends will take Cage back to
their place, the BIS Hideout. Deckson will walk in on Cage and Deckson will
tell you he's talked to everyone, and welcomes you to the Anti-Terrestrial
League BIS. He says as long as you chill there with them, you should be safe.
Eventually, everyone (Razma, Semyl, Myona, Ares) wake sup, some amusing
dialogue and activity goes on (Semyl does the Budweiser "wassup" and she then
gets into a little altercation with Razma), then Deckson says that since
everyone is around, he'd like to talk to everyone.

Suddenly, Phil runs into the room (the blond girl Ares inquires about earlier),
and says that there is an emergency. She tells everyone that the UNSF is
invading the hospital, where Yukito is staying. Phil tells everyone that the
UNSF is most likely invading the hospital for a medicine they use with people
in a critical condition. Deckson places the blame on a guy named Ned Noachim,
and the party leaves the safety of the hideout, and goes south to the hospital
on the Martian surface.

The scene cuts to this Ned guy in the hospital, asking where the "terrorist"
is, but the director of the hospital insists that he has no idea what he's
talking about. After some harassment of the "hot" nurses, Ned knocks out the
director of the hospital, and then the scene goes to a battle grid.

Two Security LEVs are harassing a driver with a vital medicine for someone when
they are ambushed by a mysterious LEV, who destroys both of the harassing
crafts of the UNSF, and suddenly, our team appears at the scene! You realize
that this mysterious LEV is none other than the Yukito everyone is talking
about. The shaken driver that was just attacked hands over the medicine to
Deckson, who promises that he'll deliver it to the hospital himself, and that
the driver should go to a safe area, which he does. After some more talking
between Myona, Ares, Cage, and our new friends, they decide to join forces
again and free the hospital from the UNSF, and deliver this medicine as soon as
possible.

The battle now ensues. Your party will start out on the east end of the battle
grid, while the enemies will start out in the northwest sector of the battle
grid, at the hospital. All you have to do in this battle is get the Edge to one
of the six designated green squares in front of the hospital. However, there
are only four Regular LEV As for you to fight, so you should fight them and
destroy them to get experience. Each of the four LEVs on the enemy side have
1,800 HP, and are manned by level three UNSF pilots. Destroy all four LEVs,
they are all very simple, and although they can use Machine gun on you, they
shouldn't be too much trouble at all - their LEV's shells are weak, which means
Yukito can kill each one in one hit, and with the rest of your party chipping
away, you should win in three turns.

But just when you think you're home clear, Ned appears in his LEV (cleverly
called Ned LEV), and wants to fight. In the corner of Cage's eye, however, he
sees someone give him a code for "B-U-Y-T-I-M-E", so Cage talks a little trash,
and then from afar, Ned takes a hit from a sniper LEV, which ends up being
Razma in his Dreizehn LEV, which is a great long-range LEV. Ned's LEV has 3,000
HP, and uses Laser Blade, Beam Gun, and the powerful Death Rave.

Basically, he's not too hard but he has a lot of HP and a pretty powerful LEV,
defensively, with a powerful shell. He can take a lot of hits, but be
persistant on him. Hit him with all you got. After he is defeated, he'll
retreat (and your computer will make fun of his lame threat to get you guys at
a later date), and then your crew delivers the medicine to the hospital. The
hospital director asks you guys to never come to the hospital again... Razma
freaks out, but Yukito tells him he understands. Everyone goes back to the BIS
hideout afterwards, and although everyone is bummed about not getting credit
for the victory at the hospital, and being considered terrorists, they all
agree that it's part of being a resistance force. Yukito (Tadamichi is his real
name) introduces himself to Cage... then, Ares and Cage talk to Deckson about
being a resistance, and they discuss how one day, as BIS (Born in Space), they
will have to attack. When they start talking about the destruction of the
Bonaparte III, Myona has a flashback, and everyone encourages her to try to
remember what's on the "tip of her brain" so to speak... but then, from the
obvious stress, she faints.

The scene takes over in the Med Room of the hideout, in which Myona and Semyl
talk about her expereicne and how it'll all come back in time, and to not
stress about it. They talk some more, and Semyl promises to help Myona out...
and then, the scene ends! Save at the intermission, upgrade whatever it is that
needs upgrading, and get ready for another scene!

 ----- --
-SCENE 04- DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD
 ----- --

As the scene begins, Deckson tells Myona that they got all the background
information on her they could find. They say that she was obviously a stowaway
on the Bonaparte III, because her name wasn't on the roster of passangers
aboard the ship. After some more talk, they get to information about Myona's
parents. Her parents were both killed on the explosion of the Bonaparte III,
and both bodies have been confirmed.

After some more talk, Deckson offers Ares, Myona and Cage memberships to the
BIS, as active members. After little dilberation, they all agree. After some
flirtation between members and such, Myona and Semyl take off, and Phil points
everyone's attention to the TV news program. The news reporter says that the
hospital (where we just battled) was completly destroyed, and that the people
of BIS (although she doesn't say that, she shows pictures) are most likely to
blame. Seems as if Ned and the UNSF blew it up intentionally, sayith Yukito.
Deckson then comes in and tells Cage that it's time everyone goes to see BIS'
financial supporter, whom he calls his goddess, named Robin O'Connell. Yukito,
Deckson and Cage then leave aboard the Edge, to go visit this Robin O'Connell.

You'll be on the battle grid, now, and Ned will be burning all the civilian
homes in the area in searching for the secret, hidden BIS hideout. He knows
it's in the vicinity and figures he'll burn them out. Although unbelieveable,
the guys are completly outmatched in the Edge. Deckson tells you to drive the
Edge to the factory in the northeast corner of the grid. On the grid as far as
enemies go is Ned and his LEV, as well as several Regular LEV As and Bs. Both
have 1,800 HP, and Ned has 3,000, just like in Scene 03.

Move once, anywhere you want, and then the enemy opposition will stay still.
Suddenly, all your BIS team-mates will join you in battle, three in the east,
and three in the west. Myona has your LEV and tells you to get in! Great
timing! Now, we battle!

The mission goal here is to get the Edge to the glowing green box in the
northwest corner of the screen, by the factory. That means you don't have to
fight, but you still should. Destroy all of the enemy LEVs to get money and
experience galore. When they are all defeated, Deckson will remind you to get
the Edge to the factory to make sure Ms. O'Connell is safe and okay! She is,
you'll find out, when you get to the factory. After some talk and such, Ms.
O'Connell will tell you she didn't want to leave until all of her staff
evacuated, and now she's ready to leave.

But, oh no! Ned returns in his LEV, and now knows where the factory is! A chick
named Mebuis sneaks up on his, however, in her new craft, the Orcrist. She
takes a few potshots at Ned, then swipes at him with her new powerful craft.
Ned is taken aback a bit by the sheer power of the Orcrist, but insists on
fighting. Now we duel again!

The objective here is to destroy Ned's LEV, but there is a lot of experience to
be gained by fighting all of the Unmanned crafts escorting him in battle, so
concentrate all of your attacks on those first, and THEN go after Ned's LEV and
destroy it. It's easy, a very easy battle. Don't be/feel overwhelmed by all of
the Fighters! They are underpowered and weak defensivly. Kill the Fighters,
then kill Ned. Easy as that.

After Ned is defeated, a mysterious woman in an LEV appears, and tells Ned that
their plans are still going according to plan, but she is obviously Ned's
superior, because she scolds them. Then, they disappear.

Back at BIS headquarters, Cage and Robin O'Donnell have a proper introduction
to each other, and then she explains how she pays for everything BIS needs via
the Robin Foundation, which is basically her giving money to any foundation who
fights for the Martian cause. After that, Mebius (pilot of the powerful
Orcrist) introduces herself. Funny dialogue ensues between everyone, some of
the guys hitting on some of the ladies. Ms. O'Donnell talks about the UNSF's
possible future plans, and their stupidity in achieving their goals thusfar.
Then, the game cuts to "Bolozof's Room."

In here, Nadia, the woman who saved Ned from the fight earlier, is in this
room, talking to a Lieutenant, who is shortly thereafter identified as Bolozof.
Hence, Bolozof's Room. After bizarre dialogue, the short scene ends, and you're
brought to intermission. Save your game, make any appropriate repairs and
upgrades, and we'll get right to Scene 05!

 ----- --
-SCENE 05- A VOICE FROM FAR, FAR AWAY
 ----- --

As the fifth scene begins, Phil is in a freakish state, and Razma makes fun of
her a bit, but then Mebius puts him in line. =) She tells Yukito her freaked
out state is from the fact that taxes are being raised. This isn't good news,
apparently. Then Ms. O'Donnell calls in a guy named Twede, who enters into the
room. No one knows who he is, but Robin tells everyone (especially the
concerned Myona) that Twede is simply her secretary. After some inquery on why
she [Robin] didn't learn the news earlier, the team talks about all the bad
things that this tax hike can do, and more importantly, how it can further
frame the BIS for certain "terrorist" activity that they never committed, i.e.
the torching and destruction of the hospital.

After a lot of talk on what they're going to do (and Semyl freakin' out while
Razma is calm... opposite of their usual demeanors [and Razma being a sick
bastard]), they speak some more, and then Ms. O'Donnell and Twede leave. Twede
comes back quickly and tells the group that a supposed BIS owned LEV is
wreaking havoc over at a place called Pandora Frettum, and that we should all
probably go check it out. Twede says the pilot of the renegade LEV's name is
"Den" and that we should go right away.

You'll now be on the battle grid. Den scolds some of the kids from Semyl's
orphanage that he took hostage, but then BIS appears. Den, obviously, is Ned
(Den is Ned spelt backwards, of course). Seems that Ned's taken these kids and
put them in LEVs on auto-pilot. This means that they can attack you, regardless
of who is piloting them. Furthermore, sensitive bombs are strapped to each of
the LEVs, so you can't attack them back, or they will be destroyed with the
kids inside of them! So what do we do!? Welllll...

Just keep Ending Phase, don't bother moving your crafts. The auto-piloted LEVs
will move closer, but don't worry. After three moves, Ned will return, but tell
you that he can't be attacked either, or bombs in the orphanage will go off!
But suddenly a mysterious craft enters from the east of the grid, piloted by a
man named Warren. Seems that Ned has tried to kill Warren, but he just won't
die. You find out that Ned is working for someone named Zephyrs, and then the
battle ensues. Warren, cockily, promises the group that he'll save the kids and
get Ned.

The battle plan is this. Retreat away from the auto-pilot LEVs, into a corner.
Take Warren's LEV and attach them to an LEV by putting it right next to the
auto-pilot and Ned LEVs. When he's touching them, he's deactivating the bombs,
so they're safe to attack. Attack attack attack, but be careful! If Warren's
LEV isn't touching the hijacked LEVs, they will blow up, and that's game over
for ye! When the three hijacked crafts are defeated, Ned will proclaim that he
is going to blow up the orphanage. But not if Ares has anything to do with it!
He returns with a new Orbital Frame, called Vjaya. He says that Vjaya helped
him disable the bomb, so that we can now attack Ned freely. But...

Ned jets to the complete other side of the grid, and has a few friends to help
him now, namely Regular Lev As, Regular Lev Bs, and Unmanned Fighter As. There
are a few of each of these enemies. The goal of this second quest in this scene
is to attack and destroy Ned's LEV, but... attack everything but Ned's LEV
until everything is destroyed, as there is a crapload of experience to be had
in this battle. Everything here is stuff we've fought before, so worry not my
friends! You shouldn't have any trouble at all, especially with the new OF
Vjaya in your party.

After all crafts are defeated, and you take out Ned, Ned will actually execute
one of his own soldiers, by placing an explosive on his larnyx! He then tells
you that the same devices are on all of the children at the orphanage. It is
confirmed by Pharsti that his statement is true, and Pharsti offers to turn
himself into... his "real" self (Testament), an Orbital Frame. He does this and
completly obliterates Ned's LEV.

Cage is angry for some reason, however, but then the scene quickly switches
over. Semyl and Razma offer to take the collars off of the children, which they
do, and then they bring them back to the orphanage, safe and sound. Cage is
angry because he didn't want to kill Ned, just stop him... but Pharsti took it
all the way. After a bit more talk, they all agree to go back to the hideout,
for the security force is coming to see what's going on. After some more
jargon, you're brought back to intermission. Save, upgrade, et cetera, and
we'll get right to Scene 06!

 ----- --
-SCENE 06- ONE WING'S PROMISE
 ----- --

As the sixth scene begins, we find ourselves observing a conversation in a
place called "Zephyrs' Room." Bolozof, a guy we say talking just last scene, is
now talking with this Zephyrs we've heard so much about, a guy who looks a lot
like Deckson. Through the conversation, Bolozof asks if he can destroy the BIS
once and for all, now that the BIS has the Animus Series in their hands, a
powerful new form of weapon. After more conversing, Bolozof takes off and
Zephyrs talks to himself about the Animus Series, that he can't believe BIS got
a hold of it, and that the only person who can use these Aniumses is a
"Vale"... he asks himself if Cage could be one of this "Vales."

Back at BIS Hideout, everyone in the BIS (minus Cage, naturally) is talking
about Cage's experience in the last battle, how he and his LEV/Pharsti killed
Ned once and for all (obliterated him, as Pharsti says), and how Cage is really
bummed about it, and down on himself, because he actually took a human life,
when all he wanted to do was disable Ned's LEV. Everyone agrees to leave Cage
alone, and let him find some answers to his debocle on his own, and in the
meantime, support him in whatever he chooses to do.

When Deckson returns, they talk of the Orbital Frame (OF) that Cage used in
battle. The OF is of Earth-origin, he thinks, and was on the Bonaparte III for
certain when it exploded. The LEV is the OF's coverup. Suddenly, the mysterious
secretary for Ms. O'Donnell, Twede, comes in and tells the party that the
person behind these odd projects, et cetera, is the UNSF Inspection Chief,
Dezeele Zephyrs. After some more talk, Semyl alerts everyone that the outer
hatch of the hideout's been opened. Cage has left!

The scene cuts to the Martian surface. Cage is looking for a place to hide and
think, away from everyone and everything, when Myona finds him. He doesn't know
it's her at first, but it doesn't take long for him to figure it out. When he
asks if it's her, she faints, but she's only faking. Cage gets worried, but
when she tells him she's kidding, he starts to laugh and it lifts his mood a
bit. Myona tries to convince him to come back to BIS headquarters, but he tells
Myona that he's no different than the UNSF now... now that he's killed someone,
actually taken someone's life. Myona tells him that Ned was bad, he had it
coming to him, and regardless of what he did, he saved those poor, innocent
children. Suddenly, Myona has a flashback, and remembers a little bit more
about her past, about her parents, and the explosion on the Bonaparte III that
ended both of their lives. But before you know it, UNSF security forces come to
"greet" you.

They tell Cage to turn himself in right away. When he tells Myona that he is
going to turn himself in, and that she should try to get away and hide, she
tells him that she can't do that. She tells Cage that she either goes with him
to the UNSF, or that they both escape. When the UNSF is about to open fire,
Mebius shows up with her powerful LEV and fires and destroys the LEV that was
about to take out Cage's craft. Suddenly, everyone shows up to help you, all of
the BIS! True friendship, true teamwork! After everyone talks, Warren
introduces himself to Cage finally, and tells everyone to destroy these UNSF
LEVs before the backup units arrive! And so, the battle begins.

On the grid are five enemies. Three Regular LEV As, and two Regular LEV Bs -
nothing we haven't fought before, and you shouldn't have any trouble with any
of them. Try to finish them all off in two rounds, that shouldn't be hard by
any stretch of the imagination for you at this point in the game. This battle's
goal is to simply destroy all of the enemy UNSF crafts, so don't worry about
anything else. Try to let everyone get in an attack so you can spread around
the experience, too. When they are all defeated, Cage and Deckson have a talk.
He is astounded, and feels proud, that everyone in BIS came to his rescue with
those UNSF crafts even after he left them. Suddenly, everyone realizes Razma
isn't around, but suddenly he has a radio transmission with the group and is
actually at the orphanage with the kids Cage just saved. He tells them all that
Cage is the guy who saved all of them before, and they all thank him with great
gratitude. Razma tells Cage he did a good thing, and he's behind him 100%
regardless of what other people think of what he did by killing Ned, even if it
was an accident. Suddenly, when Razma is about to say goodbye, it seems someone
is at the orphanage... Deckson orders everyone straight away to the orphanage.

Once at the orphanage, everyone notices that the UNSF has destroyed it. Bolozof
and Nadia are both at the scene. Suddenly, Razma comes out of the ashes and
destroys both of Nadia's and Bolozof's escort LEVs, and tells everyone that all
of the kids are okay, and in hiding. After much relief, Razma tells Bolozof
that he'll pay for this, and Bolozof laughs it off. He wants the Animus OF that
the BIS is hiding! When Cage threatens Bolozof, he mocks him, for Cage is only
in a weak ground craft. Cage asks Pharsti to come down, and so he does. Soon
thereafter, some more escorts appear for the enemy force, and the second fight
of the scene begins!

The two primary LEVs in this fight is Bizac S (4,500 HP), and Bizac (4,000 HP).
Accompanying them are three types of LEVs we've yet to fight. Reinforced LEV A,
B and C. They are pretty easy, they just can move farther than a regular UNSF
LEV. They are all equipped with a Laser Blade, while A can also use a Machine
Gun, B can use Missiles, and C can use the Beam Gun. There are two As in this
battle, and one of each B and C. Your mission is to obliterate all of the
enemies on the screen, so advance all of your units forward and do just that.
You'll have to destroy Bizac and the four escort LEVs before Bizac S starts to
move into battle. Concentrate on the escorts first, then Bizac, and finally,
Bizac S will start to move when the other LEVs are destroyed. While this is
most certainly the hardest battle we've had in the game thusfar, it's still no
big deal. If and when you bring Testmanet up to attack Bizac S, Bolozof will
tell you he's taking the LEV, but he won't be able to. Defeat him and he'll
escape from the battle! After you reign victorious, Deckson will ask you if you
feel any better now. Cage says he does, and even though he's thankful to
everyone in the BIS, he's still bummed that he killed Ned. At the same time,
he's relieved he saved people. So it's a double-edged sword, naturally. Pharsti
and Cage then have a long conversation, on how they're "friends" and not simply
user and master. Pharsti tells Cage he named the Orbital Frame "Testament" as a
tribute to their friendship. Then, they all return back to BIS headquarters.

Once back at headquarters, Ares and Myona talk a bit about Cage, how he has a
grivational power... makes people want to be around him. After a bit, Semyl
tells Myona she needs her, and that short scene ends, and we're dragged to yet
another short scene - two mysterious figures talk about trying to get Pharsti,
and end the short scene by saying to each other "Freedom to Mars." Interesting.
Very interesting. That, however, ends the scene. Save your game, upgrade, et
cetera. Scene 07, here we come!

 ----- --
-SCENE 07- OPPOSING TRACKS
 ----- --

As this scene begins, you find Robin in the BIS hanger running tests on
Testament. Myona gives Cage a vitamin drink when he's done which tastes like
crap, but he acts like he enjoyed it... heh heh. Robin tells Cage that Pharsti
hasn't reached full potential yet in her battle techniques (yes, she identifies
Pharsti in the female text), and then Cage and Myona take off. Twede and Ms.
O'Connell then have a mysterious talk, it seems like she's working for
someone...

Back at the BIS Hideout, everyone is talking about the anti-tax rallies that
resulted in some human deaths at the hands of UNSF security LEVs. They find out
that amongst the crowd control LEVs on the UNSF side was Bolozof's frame, Bizac
S. Since there is going to be yet another demonstration of this kind, the BIS
decides that they should be in the area (in hiding of course) so that if the
UNSF starts any more crap with the peaceful protestors, they can be there to
protect the innocent people and fight the UNSF one on one. After some talk,
everyone agrees to it, Phil decides to make everyone food while they're there
(^_^) and then we're transported to the scene out on the streets.

After two UNSF soldiers talk to each other from their LEVs, the protestors
appear. They protest a bit, then Nadia appears with a girl who has some sort of
amnesia stroke thing going, and she brings her to Razma. Razma hits on Nadia,
then shortly thereafter, Nadia leaves the scene, leaving the little girl with
him. Razma and Cage then leave the scene, after Razma leaves the girl with
another local.

Suddenly, gunshots are heard. It's the doing of Nadia and Bolozof, but no one
knows that. The shot hits one of the security LEVs, and the security force and
Acemos forces start fighting each other. Acemos destroys both security LEVs,
and then the rioters start to panic. The BIS vehicles appear and tell the
protestors they are here to protect them, and that they should retreat to the
south. Then the battle begins.

The battle consists of many LEVs on the UNSF side, and it gets a little over-
whelming, but you should still be fine. Reinforced LEV As, Bs, and Cs are on
their side, and in great numbers. You have to take care of them AND protect the
protestors and the protestor LEVs, which have no weapons. They act
automatically and get to the south. Once they are all the way south, they are
safe. Defeat all of the LEVs and protect whatever civilian LEVs you can (worry
not if one or two die, even if Cage reacts negativly to it).

After you defeat the remaining Reinforced LEVs, Bolozof reappears in his LEV,
Bizac S. Zephyrs talks to him over a radio transmission and tries to tell
Bolozof what to do. Bolozof responds with a threat on Zephyrs' life. After some
more talk, Nadia talks to Bolozof, then appears in the battle. They call six
more assorted Reinforced LEVs for assistance, and then the battle begins. As in
the last battle, you can kill all of the LEVs, but to goal of this battle is to
lower Bolozof's HP (well, Bizac S') to under 30% of his maximum, or 1,305HP or
lower, and then the fight will end. However, for the sake of experience, kill
all six escort LEVs and Nadia's LEV before you fight Bolozof's. Experience is
both vital and rare in this ga,e, so it's times like these when you have to
take advantage, even when you don't want to. When you defeat Nadia, she
retreats, her LEV (Bizac) is hurtin'. After you lower Bolozof's HP down 30%
(remember, 1,305 HP or lower), you all retreat from battle. Bolozof laughs that
he was spared and promised to exact revenge upon the BIS.

Back at BIS hideout, Razma confirms that Nadia was the one who shot and started
the riot. The group continues to talk about Acemos, how it's headed by Zephyrs,
and that Earth's most dangerous man, Bolozof, is the head of Acemos' fighting
force. After some more discussion, everyone goes somewhere, Razma goes to
investigate a lead, and the scene ends. Save, repair and enhance, and we'll get
right into Scene 08.

-SCENE 08-
 ----- --

As this scene begins, Razma returns from his short investigation, and has some
pictures with him as proof. These pictures are of Zephyrs' new factory, and the
Orbital Frames he's producing there, with the precious building material known
as Metatron. Everyone suddenly realizes that it was certainly Zephyrs' behind
not only this, but behind Black Frame, the frame that destroyed the Bonaparte
III in the beginning of the game, as well.

After everyone finishes looking at the pictures, Razma gets picked on by the
ladies a bit, as usual, and then Mebius brings up that they can move right away
against the facility, since they have hard evidence that it's Zephyrs', and
that he's building Orbital Frames there. Ryan Manufacturing and NUT seem to be
two candidates for building these OFs for Zephyrs, although it's more than
likely Ryan Manufacturing, as NUT is a huge corporation and has its own thing
going. Ryan can overtake NUT as the number one industry leader with the money
they make from creating Zephyrs' OFs, so it makes sense. The party decides to
break into the manufacturing plant for evidence, et cetera. Ms. O'Connell and
Twede enter into the scene, Robin talks for a bit, and then Twede supplies the
party with a comprehensive blueprint of the manufacturing plant at hand.

Once at the plant, everyone gets their instructions. This is a covert
operation, so the idea here is to NOT fight. The scene cuts to a security LEV
and Nadia... the two talk, and Nadia goes to take a rest. The guy inside the
security LEV ends up being Twede! Twede cuts off all security cameras and
sensors, making the only thing that can catch you in and around the plant are
the eyes of the LEV drivers. The LEV drivers all drive Reinforced LEVs, and on
the battlefield, there are several of each kind of Reinforced LEV (A, B and C).
If you get caught by an LEV driver, you have to kill it in ONE turn, or you
lose! You cannot give them enough time to alert backup units. To get caught,
you have to come within three squares on any side of an enemy LEV unit, so be
careful. There are five entrances that could be the right one to get into. The
correct one is the one all the way to the right and at the top. To get there,
go left and up, then right across the other entrances, then around and up
again. It's too treacherous to go to your right straight through their security
lines there, so be safe, take the extra time, and go left, then across. It's
time consuming, but safe. It's better than starting over, is it not?

Once the entrance is found, Phil and Ares enter into the plant with their
computer hacking software, and the rest of the BIS retreats. They talk for a
bit, and decide that a little rest is in order before they enter into phase two
of the plan. Then, this short scene ends. You won't have any more money than
you did when you started the scene, so you can't really do any special
enhancing. Just save, and we'll delve right into Scene 09.

 ----- --
-SCENE 09- Sincerity
 ----- --

As this scene begins, Nadia walks into Bolozof's room and awakes him. They have
a lengthy discussion, and Bolozof hits on her a bit, telling her to "examine me
yourself" when she asks how he's feeling. After they talk about a promise they
made for each other, and probable inter-planetary warfare, Bolozof discovers a
tracer on her, and that she is to go to full alert right away!

Back out on the field, Deckson realizes that they've caught on to the BIS
infiltration of their plant. Phil and Ares could very well be stranded within
the confines of the manufacturing plant if they don't do something! Everyone
decides to head back and make sure Phil and Ares make it out alright. Then, the
battle begins, quickly, without much more talk. (thank God)

The battle grid has Reinforced Secutity LEVs on Zephyrs' side, of all three
varities, like we've fought before. They are difficult but completly beatable.
After two rounds of engaging the original wave of enemies, Phil and Ares will
come out of the leftmost entrance on the factory and ask that they're guided
safely back, that they have all of the computer information they need!
Suddenly, Nadia in the Bizac, and five escort LEVs of the Reinforced variety
show up right near her. Bolozof tells Nadia to take care of this and she
promises that even if it takes her life, she will do as he commands. Then, he
takes off, and the battle commences. The goal of this battle is to bring Phil
and Ares inside Blade to the bottom of the screen. But remember what I said a
while ago about precious experience? Get her around the bottom of the screen,
then get her fighting. The experience Nadia and all of the Reinforced LEVs hold
is immense, so don't pass it up. As the battle begins, Nadia and three of the
five Reinforced LEVs that appeared with her will head south to the main battle.
The other two will branch off and go after the Blade. Make the Blade go all the
way to the west, and then south to avoid them for a few rounds until some of
the others can help you fend them off.

Once Blade is all the way south (make sure to kill off all enemy units
regardless of the warning of the plant exploding), Nadia returns in Bizac and
decides to stay at the plan while it explodes, as she tells Cage she brought it
upon herself. Cage won't have this however, and after he warns the rest of the
plant of the explosion, and that they should evacuate, he goes to Bizac and
takes Nadia out of it. She resists but he gets her, and they leave the scene.
They all go back to the BIS hideout, and they leave Nadia outside of the
factory, but a safe distance away. She ponders shortly why she's still alive,
and how she disgraced Bolozof... and then another short scene (text-wise) ends.

 ----- --
-SCENE 10- The Pure Heart... and the Price it Pays
 ----- --

Razma yawns as this scene begins, experessing his tiredness. He tells Cage
where everyone went, and why the place is so empty. He then decides to swing by
Ms. O'Connell's hangar and check out some new stuff she got. Ares is already
there, so he meets him there. Cage tags along with Razma, and they all talk
with Ms. O'Connell for a bit. Ares tells them that he found nothing interesting
on the computer. After some more talk, Pharsti agrees to help out finding
stuff, and then the scene cuts to Zephyrs' room.

In Zephyrs' room, Zephyrs and Ryan (of Ryan Manufacturing) are talking to each
other. They are arguing over whether Ryan Manufacturing should join up with
Zephyrs' operation, and overtake Ryan Manufacturing's competitor easy, NUT, who
is ahead of them in the race at this time. They come to some sort of agreement
on shaky ground, and Zephyrs seems to be a little shaken that Ryan stands up to
him so. After that, he takes his leave and Zephyrs has a radio transmission
with Bolozof, which is when the scene switches back to the hangar.

Back at the hangar, Pharsti finds the hidden files and breaks the codes of the
hidden information on the computer files. They analyze it, and realize that
some scientists were trying to combine a human brain into a machine to make it
think as a human would. Pharsti extracts all of the information, and says the
rest can only be reached with the proper password. If she attempts to open
these files without the password, a virus will be put into Pharsti, so she
refrains for now. The party agrees that getting the password should be a
priority, but then...! Twede jumps into the room (surprising Razma as usual),
and has something important for Ms. O'Connell and the rest of the BIS to see.

It's a news bulletin. It seems as if the UNSF has announced that the
destruction of the plant was at the hands of the BIS. Bolozof comes on and says
he's captured some of the BIS and is holding a news conference in a few. Being
that none of the BIS were actually captured, this is a ploy to bring the real
BIS in to save the people and then they are captured. Which also means that the
UNSF abducted random, innocent people, and put them up as BIS operatives.

But then... Twede says there are more. It seems as if they HAVE captured some
of the BIS. Myona, Mebius, and Semyl! They even put up Nadia as having BIS
ties, and are about to execute all of them. Against the wishes of Twede, Ms.
O'Donnell grants the rest of the BIS permission to go to this news conference
and rescue the BIS before anyone gets hurt. After everyone leaves, Twede
expresses his distain with Robin's decision, but regardless, what's done is
done.

The scene then takes us to the site of the "conference" (execution). The four
girls talk to each other, and realize that since Nadia too was caught, they
don't actually realize who the girls are! This could work in their advantage.
Then, Bolozof shows up and Nadia apologizes to him. Suddenly, Bolozof's new
woman appears. Her name is Amante, and her and Bolozof severly and harshly turn
on Nadia. After some more talk, Myona has a weird flashback with Zephyrs
involved, and Zephyrs thinks he knows who she is... but then, the firing squad
of LEVs take aim. The innocent people plead for their lives (they really didn't
do anything wrong, afterall), and the execution is about to begin, when,
finally, the rest of the BIS appear and come to the rescue.

Bolozof decides to watch from afar for a bit, and then the BIS tell the
hostages to chill while they free them. There are bombs attached to each
hostage, and a time bomb as well, which means you have to act quick. While
fighting all of the enemy units, make sure to get Testament to hover over each
of the three execution stands to free the unappreciative victims. When they are
all freed (make sure to kill all of the enemy units but the one at the top of
the screen that doesn't move before freeing them, to get all of the experience
possible), Frazier, Nadia's old teacher, will come to save her as well. She
goes with him, but not before she gives you the password you so desperatly
need, which is ARIEL. With this password, the team can now access all of the
hidden files on the computer disks and information they seized!

Suddenly, Bolozof reappears in battle, with more backup units, and Amante, in
the Bizac. The goal here is to simply obliterate your enemy, so... lets get on
that. This battle will be easy for you, just attack all of the lesser
Reinforced LEVs first, then the Bizac, and then finally Bizac S, to assure you
get all of the experience points you're entitled to. After the fairly simple
battle, Bolozof escapes, and then the BIS heads back to their hideout.

Back at headquarters, Razma and Semyl have a little argument, and the rest of
the party agrees that since everyone is pretty tired and spent, it wouldn't be
a bad idea for everyone to rest, and that they'll all catch up with each other
and what exactly happened the next day. Meanwhile, back at the BIS Hangar,
Pharsti and Ms. O'Donnell have a small talk, and then after a mysterious person
within the BIS hangar speaks, the scene ends.

 ----- --
-SCENE 11- Double Deal
 ----- --

As this scene begins, we find Cage, Ares and Ms. O'Connell talking to each
other at the BIS hideout. She says that thanks to the password Nadia gave to
them, her people were able to extract all of the information from the stolen
data. Cage gets the entire BIS into the same room so that Ms. O'Connell can
share the found data with everyone. It seems that the data is actually some
sort of ledger. Ares admits that even after decoding it with the password, it's
still nearly impossible to read, which was probably done on purpose by the
person trying to hide the contents of the ledger. However, also in the data
were blue prints of both Testament and Black Frame, two Orbital Frames taht we
both now know Zephyrs constructed. They also find out about Pharsti's elite AI,
which is called the I.D.O. Mindflow System. It's a system that connects the
user's brain to the AI, hence the close connection Pharsti and Cage have while
he's in the Testament. So where is this all going? Well, it seems Zephyrs wants
the Orbital Frame (Testament) back so that he can do what's called Self-Binder
System, which actually allows the frame's AI to take over the brain of the
frame runner, and do whatever the AI wants him to. However, Testament doesn't
seem to have this system installed in it, which is brought up when Cage
expresses his concern about being overtaken by the system. Black Frame probably
had this system, but Ares and Ms. O'Connell guarantee Cage that he has nothing
to worry about with Testament and Pharsti.

But after that, Ares expresses that he has a plan on what to do...

You now find the party on the battle grid. They have a plan to break back into
Zephyrs' computers and get more information. They talk about how they can't be
tracked and such, and even if they're caught, they can still get away. But then
suddenly, Amante and more UNSF troops surround the BIS operatives, and a fight
is about to ensue! Amante taunts you guys a bit, some talking goes back and
forth, and then the fight begins.

Now, you HAVE to protect Phil's craft in this fight while he uploads to
Zephyrs' servers. He can't fight in this battle, instead, just protect him so
he isn't destroyed, because that's who they troops are going to go after
primarily. You have to fight for a maximum ten rounds. You should be able to
destroy all of the enemy LEVs (they are all Reinforced LEVS [A, B, and Cs], and
Bizac, piloted by Amante) before the ten rounds are up. Oh, and in addition to
the enemies you fight originally, two more Reinforced LEVs appear after seven
or so rounds on the other side of the grid, so kill them off quickly too,
before they get to Phil. After ten rounds, the battle automatically ends when
they realize the password was changed, and quickly escape before they are
caught. So what does this mean for you? This means KILL ALL THE ENEMY LEVS
BEFORE TIME'S UP! Get all that experience, baby!

After the escape, it seems as if the BIS did that as sort of a diversion
tactic... Warren expresses a hunch on how he doesn't like Ares, but nothing to
substantiate it. Then, the scene cuts to a short scene with Twede and Robin...
seems like Robin has another name (Dana), and Robin is her secret identity.
Twede warns her that she's treading on hot coals... and then, the scene ends.

MORE IN THE NEXT UPDATE! STAY TUNED!

This part of the guide are just a few commonly asked questions in regard to
ZOE: The Fist of Mars. If you have a question and would like it to be added
here, by all means, e-mail me at cmoriarty311@cs.com, and I'll see what I can
do!

*****

1.) Q - What does "LEV" stand for?

A - The acronym LEV stands for "Laborious Extra-Orbital Vehicle."

*****

2.) Q - What does "OF" stand for?

A - The acronym OF stands for "Orbital Frame."

*****

3.) Q - Ugh! I can't beat Scene 05! What am I doing wrong!?

A - You have to make sure Warren shows up in his LEV and is touching the
LEV you're attacking. Only then will the bomb be disabled on that particular
LEV so you can attack and destroy it, and let the kids go free!

Well my friends, it's time to close this guide out! =) I hope you found it very
helpful... I very much enjoyed writing it. It was fun, as is the game, and I'm
sure that it was/is/will be enjoyable for you as well. And hey, if you have
game related questions, comments, suggestions - whatever, e-mail them my way,
cmoriarty311@cs.com. And make sure to put ZOE: The Fist of Mars (or whatever
game you're writing in on, I have nineteen other guides), in the header as the
topic, so I know what the hell you're talking about. =) Take it easy.

I'd like to take this chance to thank a friend of mine, Devin Morgan, a fellow
FAQ writer on GameFAQs, for just being a good guy, a good friend, and someone I
can talk to about everything. Thanks Dev. Also, thanks goes out to Adrenaline,
'cause she's so damn cute. Finally, thanks to my good friend, Graham, for
lending me this game so I could write a much needed FAQ/Walkthrough for it,
since GameFAQs was void of any for this game until I submitted this. Thanks
Pooch!

[accurate as of May 28, 2002]

I'm a 17 year old, a senior in high school. I live on Long Island, in New York,
about half an hour from New York City. I play ice hockey, I worked at a deli,
until recently, when I quit (^_^) and I love videogames, especially RPGs. My
favorite series for videogames include the Final Fantasy series (excluding
VIII), the Dragon Warrior/Quest series, the Mega Man series, and the Tales
series. I aspire to go to Northeastern University in the fall of 2002 to study
History and Archaeology.

THANKS FOR READING!
