01 - Introduction

Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Monogatari is a Sega Saturn game which was
released by Enix in Japan in 1997. The copyright of this game belongs
to Givro, Crowd, Buddy Zoo, Two Five and Enix. Nanatsu Kaze comes on
two disks, the first of which contains the game. The second disk
contains bitmap images which can be accessed by your Saturn or on your
computer. Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Mongatari translates as The Story of
the Island of Seven Winds, though it is translated by Enix of Japan as
'The Seven blasts of Wind in Island Story'. The aim of the game is to
uncover seven different winds on the island in which the game is
located.

The game is a side-scrolling 2D Adventure-RPG. A knowledge of Japanese
script is needed. I did not know Japanese when I started playing the
game, but learned as I progressed. A Japanese dictionary and a chart
with Katakana and Hirigana symbols is needed if you do not have a good
knowledge of Japanese. Nanatsu Kaze is a great game. The graphics are
hand drawn and well animated. The story is engaging and the characters
are imaginative. I recommend this game to all Adventure-RPG fans.

Sketches.

15 - Viewing the AVI files on a PC.

You are able to view and listen to the video sequences from the game on
a PC. For this you need an AVI player. I have a shareware program
called 'TM Player'. If you would like me to email you a zipped copy of
this program email me. The AVI files can be found in a folder called
Move2 on the game disk. The clips seem to stop short. They do not play
through to the end as they do when they are played on the saturn. Some
of the clips will spoil the ending of the game though.

Here is a list of all the AVI clips on the disk.
