------------------------------ [ Introduction ] -----------------------------
=============================================================================

THIS FAQ CONTAINS SPOILERS! Well that's basically true of every FAQ isn't
it? Please folks, don't look at this walkthrough(or any other guide for
that matter) unless you don't want the game spoiled for you. But if your
like me and don't care for spoilers since you'll usually forget when you
reach there yourself then look ahead(look at Elranzer's guide first!),
IMO it is a much more rewarding expierience discovering things for
yourself than it is being a robot and have directions given to you by a
guide. I'm also assuming at the time you are look at this(anytime before
the US release that is) that 8/10 of you folks don't own the game. (^_^)

The box art for the game is much like Final Fantasy Anthology, the artwork
is illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano. The artwork is good, but the box art
characters(some of them) don't look anywhere near like the game characters
in FF9...especially Eiko, Garnet, and Zidane. I like the box too, it's the
same box used for FF8, it ONLY yields the FF9 logo on an ivory colored
background, very much like a collector's item...very cool!

The game is definitely much better than FF7 or FF8, FF7 was a good game
but did not meet up to the standards of previous games in terms of gameplay
and the meaning of the word 'Fantasy.' FF8 was just hazardous! Well not to
that extreme but all the magic stealing and the long boss battles with
long ass summons makes the game look pretty weak compared to the SNES
  versions.

The graphics in this game are pretty good, this is one of the best
graphical game for the PSX with the exception of Chrono Cross and Resident
Evil 3. The music is much more catchy, especially the battle music, it
appears that Nobuo has gone back to the old battle music from the first
Final Fantasy but as you can expect it's more remixed this time.

Oh well, let me just say that this game is sweet, but I would still pick
Chrono Cross to be the year's #1 Playstation RPG, heck the RPG of the year
for that matter but FF9 would come in a damn close second.

=============================================================================
------------------------------- [ Characters ] ------------------------------
=============================================================================

- Zidane
The main character of the story, in what turned out to be a kidnapping of
the princess led him to a journey far beyond his immagination. A good
spirited young man, he cheers up those around him who are down.

- Adelbert(Sword Magic)
This loyal knight of Alexandria is always looking out after Garnet, his
superior strength and skills are matched by none. He has a short temper but
  a gentle heart.

- Garnet(White magic/Summon)
Once adreamt of a nightmare crashing along the rough waters, she's the
princess of Alexandria and runs away with Zidane and the party in a very
awkward fashion. She later takes the throne of Alexandria as Queen Blane
  dies.

- Vivi(Black magic)
While a shy looking mage at first, he's more than willing to help the
party in anyway he can. He possesses a HUGE potiential for wielding black
magic but he's often clumsy at times.

- Quina(Blue Magic, learn attacks from other enemies)
She is a bit odd...never sad and always happy...she carries a mean fork
  and a bold attitude.

- Freija(Jump)
The Dragoon of Burmecia, he is undoubtedly the best dragoon of Burmecia
but after seeing his hometown destroyed he joins the party to seek out
the cause of the wrecking of Burmecia.

- Eiko(White magic/Summon)
A young spirited girl who's obcessed with moogles. She possesses high magic
ability but often has a smart mouth and takes authority from no one, unless
of course you're extra nice to her.

- Coral(Throw)
The companion of Rani, he's a thief but he has a good heart but sometimes
keeps a very low and very quiet profile. He's a quick fighter with good
  strength.

- Beatrice(Sword Magic)
The loyal woman warrior or Alexandria, she fights anybody that stands in
the kingdom's way...giving no regard to what orders the Queen may give
out. She later sides with the party seeing the wrong doing of Queen Blane.
She's immensely powerful and can take it up with the best of them yet she
  finds an attraction in Adelbert.

- Kind Cid
The king od Lindbulm, once disguised as a small and stumpy man and later
a frog, he reveals his true form and helps the party out in many ways.
Providing and contemplating over mechanics and airships are his specialty.

- Queen Blane
The Queen of Alexandria, she's ruthless and is immensely power hungry. She
won't see the fault of her mistake until it's too late.

- Garland
While he is old(a few thousand years old), he holds a lot of power and
lives in a very secluded area. His interest in the party grows greater as
  he plots his next plan.

- Terra
The party mmets this girl in the surrounding area of Branbul, she runs
away from the party but soon realizes the party's main goal.

- Kujah
Consumed with power he follows and toils with the party. His power is great
and unmatched, he uses Garland as a power symbol and later leads Garland
to his own demise...but he soon see's his mistake...you'll know it when you
  beat the game (^_^).

------------------------------- [ Game Tips ] -------------------------------
=============================================================================

- Save often(press Square on the world map), you never know what you will
  expect.

- Search all paths, even if it's some tiny little insignificant area, you
are bound to find certain items.

- Don't always equip the newest weapon, you can sometimes learn abilities
from your current weapon that you haven't learned yet.

- Buy plenty of items like potions, pheonix downs, antidote, etc. You will
find yourself using them a lot in and out of battle, which is especially
crucial because at some parts of the game you are left without your main
  healer, Garnet.

- You should talk to people often, even if you don't know Japanese they can
sometimes conjure up events or give you items.

- Having trouble against a boss? Your tactics not working or are they almost
working? If your tactics work great against a boss and you lose often, then
you should go out and try to gain some levels. If your tactics don't do
jack I suggest you change them, try to look for a weakness or use another
  ability like Jump.

- You shouldn't always buy the newest weapons, even if they boost up your
stats because you can always save your money and buy better equipment later
since your stats won't dramatically increase anyways. Try buying new
weapons every two to three towns that you visit.

- If you think your levels are low, I suggest you stay near towns and level
up against monsters near the area. You get gold and expierience points
this way and you can always rest at a nearby inn or use your tent if you
  like.

- Chocobos aren't the best way to get to another area, you may find yourself
low on money and low on levels when you reach a certain area. Chocobos
are only good for not fighting battles, however if the monsters are way
out of your league then it would be sensible to ride chocobos.

- You don't have to fight every battle, this is especially true when you
fight enemies way out of your league. Sometimes when you run from battles
you get a small amount of gold.

- Use magic over items, magic can always be replenished but items are too
costly to be replenished over and over again unless you have a lot of gil.
Make sure you try to spare your Ethers when tents are available in use
  for you.

- Note that some items allows special abilities, be sure to check back and
forth on the item to make sure you have gotten all the ability points
neccessary to reserve that ability before selling the item.

- Rows variate...if your character is in the back row she/he will do less
damage but if they are in the front row then they will do normal damage.
Put magic users in the back and attacks in the front...those who are in the
front should equip strong armor and magic to protect themselves from
attacks. This is also true of some opponents, if someone from the back
row was to attack a back row opponent, then that party member will do about
25% of the normal damage...those in the front row attacking front row
enemies will deal 100% damage...other combinations lead to 50% damage.

=============================================================================
----------------------------- [ Game Engine ] -------------------------------
=============================================================================

- To save your game on the world map, press Square and a moogle will come,
you can only rest if you have a tent available(second choice then first
  choice).

- Here are the controls inside:

Circle = This is the action button, whenever you see a "!" or a "?" press
the action button to see what happens. The Square button works in
         similar fashion as well.

X button = Hold this down while walking to dash, you can go to the options
menu and make an automatic dash. This is also the cancel button.

Triangle = This will bring up the sub screen menu.

- Here are controls in battle:

Left/Right = This will bring up the "Guard" option...cutting down physical
attacks down in half...but you won't attack though.

Circle = This will select the option you wish to use.

Square = This will remove the screen and debris on the battlescreen
         completely.

R1/L1 = When you go into an item, ability, or magic screen these buttons will
work like a PgUP or a PgDN on a keyboard.

R1+L1 = Press these buttons at the same time and you will run away, note that
        you can't always run away.

- To reset the game at any time(except between load times) press
R1/R2/L1/L2/Start/Select at the same time to reset the game.

- The default for the Dual Shock is turned off, to turn on the vibration go
to the config. screen and scroll all the way down to the bottom and move
the cursor over to 'yes' and it will vibrate if you have a Dual Shock
  controller.

- To pause the game when you want to take a quick break or to convulge
yourself into thinking press Start at anytime during the game. Note that
this will not work during the duration of FMVs.

- Outside on the field use the L1/R1 buttons to rotate the camera angle left
or right. Use the R2 button to adjust the camera angle, much like the
  T/W button on a camcorder (^_^).

=============================================================================
----------------------------- [ Walkthrough ] -------------------------------
=============================================================================

As you start a new game you get an FMV of a ship rocking in the rough
waters of the sea, also note that the girl in the FMV may look like Tifa
from FFIX but obviously she is not. After the FMV walk around and the boy
will lit a fire, then walk straight forward and put the lamp on the table,
  which is the first choice.

Name him 'Zidane.' After that three people will come in and talk before
being abruptly interupted by a half man half blue dragon.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle is pretty easy, just attack him and it's costume will come
off eventually, which seems to be a man trapped inside a dragon helmet of
  some sort.

After the battle the party lays tiresome, they follow the other man to the
other room. The man displays a castle and performs a little puppet show,
later you are given two choices, you will have to choose both anyways so
do so and after that you will see an motion video of the airship from
earlier in the game and sorts as the final introduction of the game takes
  place.

=============================================================================
ALEXANDRIA TOWN Party's level: 1
=============================================================================

You will arrive at Alexandria town, a black mage drops his items but a
little girl picks it up for him. Head straight up to the center square
and enter the bar in the middle, inside to the left you can pick up 27
measily Gil, but hey...it's free anyways. Also keep note that whenever
your character has an exclamation mark(!) on top of their head, that means
that an item or money is nearby, press 'O' to pick it up. To the bottom
right of the room is another item you can pick up as well. After that
head out to the left, there is an item shop along the way to town square.

You can show the guy in the center tent your ticket(first choice), but
seemingly you don't have the right ticket. However, you do recieve a
couple of items from the ticket master. After that head to the bottom
left to the next area, when you walk to will trip which will sorta
agitate the worker, he will then fix the sign. After that a kid will come
in and ask your help to search for something or somebody, select the
first choice both times and the mage will look around, after that select
the first choice again and follow the kid with the ladder to the white
  house at the bottom.

Inside check the chimney and a moogle will fall, afterwards the kid goes
to the top to the bell, follow him afterwards and the mage seems to be
aerophobic(is that what it is?) as he slowly walks across the weak
bridges. Later on you will be asked to name the mage, so name him Vivi.
After that head around to the top left and pick up some gil, then follow
the rat to the top right, he will use the ladder to create a bridge.

Later an FMV plays as the town is in a festive mood, the girl from earlier
in the intro doesn't look to happy. Later Zidane and his party members
attack, this battle isn't hard though, just attack as normal. Your magic
won't work since this is a play afterall. After the battle the king heads
to the top but the two battle amongst themselves. To much of the crowd
applauding the two take their 'battle' near the crowd. You will control
Zidane a bit, the forward and up arrow(along with Triangle) will have
him attack head high as the other directions will lead to Zidane to duck,
heck if you don't do anything he will duck anyways. Watch carefully at
what command your party member calls out, he will call out 'Square'
Up, 'Circle', etc, just press them as he says them, no need to rush.
You can select the first choice to try again if you fouled up. Depending
on your performance you will recieve a certain amount of money, I think
500 gil is the maximum that you can recieve from this.

=============================================================================
ALEXANDRIA CASTLE Party's level: 1
=============================================================================

After the play at the town you arrive at the castle, you will have to make
your way past the guards(who apparently are women, a rarity for Square)
I'm assuming. Don't head up or down, just head striaght for the stairs and
you will eventually mert up with a mysterious figure drenched in a white
mock of some kind. She later leaves as the two follow her, later you see
two jester girls(red and blue) prancing and talking as they head to the
outside room upstairs. Later you will be given the chance to name the
  knight outside, name him Adelbert.

Afterwards he heads into the castle and looks for the girl that just ran
off. Head to the room where the two jester girls were earlier and go
downstairs and head straight down outside and go to the left. Here head
straight ahead and climb around the spiral staircase and outside on the
tower you will see Zidane and the other girl running around the opposite
tower. An FMV shows the girl fall off a cliff as she hangs onto the
parade wires and Zidane follows her, Adelbert follows them but
embarrassingly crashes into wall. She will then jump down and squash Zidane
and run around until she heads through the door, follow her and later you
will see her talking with another girl, have Zidane talk to them but the
mistress will back Zidane away and give the girl enough time to run off
again down the stairs. Follow her and the two talk, the girl seems very
affectionette(sp?) on Zidane. Gosh she looks so much like Tifa...I wish
Square wouldn't do that so often, I mean Rinoa looked a lot like
Tifa(although she obviously wasn't) but come on! The 3rd game in a row with
a look alike character? Later the two go to hide as someone knocks on the
door, it's Adelbert, the party then heads to the next room but there is a
secret passage under the table that the chef opens. The knight tries to
jump through but the armor is in his way, but apparently that was one of
Zidane's party members that intended to close the path to the party.

Head to the left room and you will eventually see Adelbert who catches up
with the party just in time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy is pretty tough but not too much that you can't handle, however,
his physical attacks do mondo damage so watch for that. Attack him as
normal, later he will do some kind of attack that breaks the armor of
the party member but little creatures pop out and scare the party members
(except for Zidane), the two(Zidane and the girl) head out to the left.

You see the king at the stage(this doesn't look like a play) as the two
escape as Brahne trails behind them not far behind. When they reach the
king, the king tries to convince the girl not to leave, much to his
dismay she refuses to obey. The pirate(?) pulls out his sword but as he
tries to stab the king, the girl gets in the way of the blade in time and
gets stabbed herself and then he stabs himself in total shock. Vivi watches
from below but before he can bust a tear guards chase after them. Vivi
reaches the stage and casts fire on the girl(who apparently played dead)
and her cloak catches on fire which suddenly and miraculously(yeah right)
brings her back to life. Brahne doesn't look too happy though.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Knock out the two guards first, they have only 40 HP each and will run off
once you damage them enough. Then attack Brahne as usual, have Vivi use
fire(which does 100+ HP of damage!!!!) and Brahne will be gone in a few
  rounds.

After the battle an FMV takes place as the Alexandria ship takes off, but
harpoons tear through the ship like paper. Later a giant cannon fires off
  a Redbomb.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attack Brahne with fire and regular attacks. The Redbomb won't do anything
in the battle though. Attack Brahne and the bomb will attack Brahne
  eventually.

After the battle the airship flies off(in FMV fashion), another FMV shows
the airship crash landing into a forest. Later Zidane will be involved in
an 'Active Time Event' select the first choice and you later see Vivi and
the girl who remain unscathed from the wreckage. You can talk to the
Mognet(aka Moogle) and select the first choice to save your game.

=============================================================================
EVIL FOREST Party's level: 2
=============================================================================

At the bottom right part of the area you are in, head there and you will
arrive at the Evil Forest. Head around to the right part of the forest, you
will find Vivi in the next area. Above you see a nasty looking plant and
Adelbert, however Adelbert is in the same rut that you are in.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the battle starts, Zidane casts a spell on himself, Adelbert tells you
Garnet is inside the plant. It constantly drains her HP, you will have to
destroy the plant before she dies because she goes, you go. Attack the
plant constantly, you can heal Garnet with a potion in your inventory. This
plant does have a lot of HP, about 700 I'm guessing. Attack the plant
constantly and keep an eye on the message at the top, it will tell you how
  much HP Garnet has.

After the battle the plant jumps off, but then latches itself to Vivi.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Same thing like last time, except this time you get extra help from Vivi's
fire magic that does massive damage on the plant. However, you still must
keep an eye on Vivi's HP, keep his HP up during the duration of the battle.
The plant has about 450 HP this time around luckily.

After the battle the plant releases a gas that knocks out the party and
they drop unconcious. Vivi is shown resting comfortably as a nurse tends to
his aid. Adelbert is thrown into a locked room as he drinks to himself,
later have Zidane go to the left and you will enter an Active Time Event.
With this enable, you can press 'select' to see what is going on as of now
in other places. The bartender back at Alexandria town is cleaning things
up, however Adelbert seems a bit agitated, but he calms down and pulls
  out a Garnet doll(I'm guessing).

I'm not really going to tell you how to go around the place, you should
have fun exploring the place yourself. You will eventually find Vivi, who
is in the room to the right of the wooden spiral staircase, talk to him
and then head out. You will go through Deja Vu as Zidane takes a retrospect
back to when Zidane and Garnet first met. Now head to the left, and go back
to the party's first meeting room, you will find your friend Baku, talk
to him inside and follow him out and talk to him again to battle him,
  choose the first choice.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attack as usual, you might miss a few times with your attacks but you
should still be okay. He will stumble at times, meaning he missed with his
attack. He only has about 200 HP, which shouldn't be a problem for you.

After the battle Baku gives a punch to Zidane in the stomach, to show good
sportsmentship, Zidane takes the hit pretty well but as Baku leaves he
groans a bit in pain...hahahahahaha. After that head out and go to the room
where Adelbert is held, after a little talk Adelbert joins you. Zidane
asks to go look for Vivi, so go back to the room and an automatic
conversation will ensue, Vivi will then join your party, later as you head
out of the airship, Braunk will temporarily hault you. He will give you
an item and show you a letter, after that head out.

Once you head outside talk to the Mognet, feel free to save your game(the
first choice, then the first choice again) and then head out to the bottom
  right.

=============================================================================
RETURN TO THE EVIL FOREST Party's level: 4
=============================================================================

Head around to the right, keep going and go down into the waterway and you
will eventually meet up with a moogle drinking water, an Active Time Event
occurs here, you will see Baku and Braunk having a conversation. Later
check the small pool where the water is draining and the party will drink
it, which will refill your entire loss HP and MP. You can talk to the
Mognet inside the tree trunk to save your game if you like.

Afterwards head onto the right, however as the party leaves an FMV shows
a plant hollowing in the woods behind the river not far from where the
party is. Continue on and you will see a giant plant and Garnet behind it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this battle have Vivi cast fire, have Adelbert use his Firesword on
the plant and have Zidane attack as normal. Later your friend Braunk comes
in and joins the battle with you. Braunk is strong as 'shiegat' his
physical attacks do a lot of damage. Continue on in the battle as usual
  and you should win.

After the battle Adelbert carries Garnet out of the forest, however a small
eruption takes place as 3 giant bugs come from the surrounding forest,
the party quickly escapes. Here you will have to continously run but as
you reach the waters, you will be attacked by the bugs. After you defeat
them you will later see an FMV of the party escaping, which is quite
dramatic, Braunk throws the scroll at Zidane but sadly he gets turned to
stone along with the rest of the forest. I just had a feeling Square would
do this, each time you have a powerful character that is 3x more powerful
than any of your other characters you can expect him to leave your party
  in some way or another.

Later at the campfire Garnet eventually wakes up, but finds Adelbert and
Zidane quarreling, but they stop and get a goodnight's rest. When they
wake up a Mognet comes over to the party as an Active Time Event takes
place. The event displaces some moogles, you can select from various
choices that the moogle gives you, most importantly if you can understand
Japanese then I hope you can tell me what their saying (^_^). The moogle
talks about the ATB, and you Final Fantasy fanatics know that means
'Active Time Battle.' They tell you about the basic elements of the game,
like critical status and the rows in your party and how it effects the
battle field when it comes up. Afterwards the party leaves to the
  overworld.

=============================================================================
JOURNEY THROUGH FROZEN OBSTACLES Party's level: 5
=============================================================================

In the overworld you get a brief set of functions about the game, the
Mist Continent(the one you are on) is pretty vast. Square basically zapped
the fixed camera angles, the camera will basically move along with you
now, much like Dino Crisis. Head south to the blue lighted cave, feel free
to save your game just outside of the cave and then head on in.

Inside here the Ice Cavern you will encounter some pretty strong enemies,
not super tough but obviously you can't expect things to be easy for you.
Enemies in here are weak against fire, obviously you should know that,
Final Fantasy fan or newbie. Head around to the top and continue on, this
is a pretty linear path. Once you reach a fork in the road, take the left
path, you will find a Mognet in suspended animation, Vivi will cast fire
and free the Mognet. An ATE will occur, basically taking you back to the
screen where it would display all the features for the beginner, there are
a few new choices but you really don't need to read them since this game
is pretty easy to adapt with. You can save your game if you like, although
it is not neccessary I suggest you save your game anyways.

Head back to the previous room and go around, the party will stutter
awkwardly because of the cold wind, Vivi stumbles down below(very funny!)
and falls like a statue. However, the party collapses as it is too cold
to continue any further(do I see a FF7 Deja Vu here?), later Zidane
wakes up, head to the right and you will see a red mage who seems to be
  casting the weather storm.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attack the red mage first, otherwise he will cast ice on the beast and it
will heal it. Hopefully you have a few potions(at least 5) otherwise this
battle is almost useless. Attack the beast after destroying the mage and
keep your HP up. The color of the orb in the monster will change color as
it comes near death, when it turns yellow it has about 400 HP left, when
it turns red it has about 150 HP left. Keep your HP above 70, he will
use an Ice2 spell occassionally at times so keep an eye for that. Also
watch for it's Tsunami attack, it does near 120 HP of damage! Keep your
HP up, don't be surprised if you die the first time, it'll teach you a
lesson the next time. One thing I don't like about the ice creature is that
this guy cheats, he can do combination attacks that reach near 160 HP of
  damage.

After the battle the once frozen ice turns into a flow of water. Zidane
heads back to the party members as the two jester girls from above watches.
Now head back to the previous boss room and climb on the ice structure to
the right and head to the top. You will be outside a terrain on the tier
of a cliff, later after a nearfall courtesy of Adelbert, you can name
the girl, name her 'Garnet.' Afterwards head to the village, which is south
  of the Ice Cavern.

=============================================================================
VILLAGE OF DALI Party's level: 5
=============================================================================

Once the party arrives they talk and head to the house on the right. It
looks like the party can spend the night for free, inside Zidane and
Adelbert argue constantly...obviously Garnet wishes to stay with the party
but Vivi falls asleep as does the rest of the party. When Zidane wakes up,
he will incur an Active Time Event. Vivi is shown wandering the town, the
kids seem to be a bit afraid of him. Garnet is shown in front of a
scarecrow as she thinks to herself along the small farm...a little frog
trouts on her hand but she quickly releases it.

When you reach outside in the roads of Dali, an ATE shows a cat in the
inkeeper's room waking up the inkeeper. You can buy some new weapons at
the shop across the inn, they have weapons that can be pretty useful for
your journey ahead. At the top part of town you will find Vivi, after some
talk Vivi is taken away as two more ATEs open up, you find Garnet at a
weapons shop, probably wondering about Zidane I guess, head to the
weapons shop and you will find Garnet. After a long talk she leaves the
shop, another ATE opens up...it's the other ATE that you didn't bother to
check earlier. Once you head outside, the kids start to run around town,
head back to the room in the inn. Talk with Garnet and afterwards an ATE
with Adelbert will start, he talks with the item shop keeper, apparently
he is pissed that he can't buy any items so he leaves. Afterwards you
have a small talk with Garnet and then she joins your party.

Once you head outside head to the top, it's time to bring Vivi back into
your party again, head to the windmill up top and an automated scenario
occurs, it appears that Vivi is stuck somewhere down below. Head to the
left house and check the black hatch on the bottom corner of the room,
open it and select the first choice to climb down. Inside pick up various
treasure chests along the way and inside further into a room you will
find a chocobo, but it looks kinda grungy. Zidane overhears a conversation
from the isolated room...they will later find Vivi but as Zidane tries
to talk to him Garnet pulls him back. Now, keep heading deeper into the
mines, eventually the two will stop and overhear Vivi's voice and Zidane
  will let him out.

It looks like you will have to stop the machine, but head over to the
right past the bridge. Keep going and you will see the finished process of
the machine, it looks as if the machine are building mages. Later the
party quickly hides as they hear voices, but they've got themselves in a
bit of a rut. Later you will see Adelbert, after a brief conversation with
the man, head out down the mountain(and collect the items along the way)
and head outside and you will see a giant airship, Adelbert will run
after it, the kids otice him and they run for cover. When Adelbert checks
the crate, select the first choice and he will stab the barrel a bit,
and Zidane will jump into the air, Zidane is a little agitated by that
but soon jumps down(via off of Adelbert's helmet), however their
conversation is cut short by another flying mage. Seemingly impressed by
the defeat of the first mage, he tells the party that he won't be as
  easy to beat.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tough battle. Period. This guy will attack with a fire attack that can hit
a few party members at a time for over 100 HP of damage. Make sure to use
plenty of Potions in this battle. Don't be afraid to use Pheonix Downs
either, also note that when Adelbert goes into Trance mode, he can
literally finish this boss off with two blows since he does about 480 HP
  of damage per hit!

After the battle the party will talk, head back to the airship(select the
first choice) and Adelbert will start up the airship. It seems that
Garnet is a little hesistant about getting on the airship, but Zidane
finally persuades her to get on. Garnet and Vivi enter but shuts the door
on the face of Zidane, but momentarily she comes back and calls in Zidane,
later Zidane heads off to find Adelbert, who is at the top port of the
ship. Once you find Adelbert the two have a small talk, you can direct
Zidane to head around to the back, this will initiate an event that sends
the ship into haywire as Zidane is steering the ship in a hasty and
uncaring motion which pisses off Adelbert. There was also an FMV that had
displaced another black mage waking up...this looks like trouble.
Later the mage makes his way onto the airship, the robot mages try to
defend the party, but they are sent adrift down below to the waters
much to the sadness and unpleasing of Vivi. It looks like Vivi has snapped
and goes after the black mage, the party soon follows. Garnet stays
behind to steer the ship as Zidane heads out to the other party members.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vivi starts the battle off in Trance mode...this is sweet since it allows
X-Magic on Vivi meaning he can casts two spells consecutively. Have
Adelbert attack with his fire sword or ice sword...have Zidane use his
explosion attack. When the mage is in the air you really can't attack him
since he has a high evade rate, use magic attacks, they deal whopping
damage on this guy. You don't need to heal in this battle since you should
finish this guy off in 4-6 rounds before he can even attack three times.

After the battle the mage flies off, the party gets themselves back
together as the two jesters fly in a plane, but they notice the black
mage and quickly jump off the plane as the black mage takes over. He then
chases after the party in an award winning FMV...before the black mage
can fire off another lightning spell at the party Vivi strikes back with
a fire spell of his own...but later the black mage leads to his own
demise as his own lightning strikes his plane accidentally as the party
  escapes with a hair.

Later after much bickering on the airship another FMV shows that the
party has approached a vast village that is flocking more with airships
  than with birds.

=============================================================================
LINDBULM COUNTRY Party's level: 6
=============================================================================

In here the people immediately recognize Garnet and they let the party
through and free to roam the place. You can head to the right and then
head upwards to save your game if you haven't done so yet. You can head
back to the previous hallway that you initially came in and go straight
down and head to the elevator where the Chancellor will take you to the
king. When you reach the King's throne, you will see him hide behind
the chair, he comes awkwardly at the party which pervades Adelbert to
attack. Little be known, he just hit the king. After a brief talk Zidane
heads out to the local bar(isn't he a little too young to be drinking?),
later Zidane notices a red cloaked figure, he tries to remember her name
but to no avail. Name her 'Freija' which is in accordance with the manual.

Later the two have a drink as night turns. Garnet and the king have a
conversation, after a long talk Zidane wakes up as Vivi follows in. An
ATE follows as new features on the description of several features in the
game shows up. Head downstairs and once you head out of the inn an ATE
opens up, it shows Adelbert around town talking with various people, he
later goes to eat some dills, but the taste knocks him on the floor.

As you head over to the house opposite of the inn, an ATE starts up, this
time it shows Vivi coweling over some items but as he leaves, he goes to
talk to the shopkeeper and recieves an item and leaves. You can ride the
monocart if you like, when you do you will end up in another part of town
as another ATE shows up. This shows Adelbert wandering into the the main
bridge of Lindbulm, he talks with an old man and as they look up they
notice the giant structure of the central palace...the man leaves.

Head around to the left and head inside the belltower room, after Zidane
rests a little bit on one of the gears inside the belltower, an ATE will
initiate. This will show Garnet in the guests quarters, but apparently
she can't leave. Back at the belltower room two wandering kids talk with
Zidane, afterwards they leave, pick up the various treasure chests in the
room and the items on the bed. When you head outside another ATE starts
  up.

You will see your earlier party members from the beginning of the game,
they are in front of some kind of cave, they search around as the screen
fades. Head down the stairs and talk with the ladies in front of the
hall, later someone approaches through and the girls scream like he's
some kinda NSync(**slaps himself for saying the dreaded N word**) group.
Later some giant ass moogle suit comes about, he can't seem to see where
he is walking, I'm assuming the guy dressed up as a moogle to get pass
the girls that wouldn't let him through.

Head back to the Monocart and go to the caslte, choose the 3rd option on
the monocart and you will head to the castle. Head to the bedroom
chamber to find Adelbert, after a brief talk he will leave. When you head
back to the fountain singing starts up with soothing music in the
background. You can't leave though, go back to the previous room and
talk with the tired guard, he will wake up the guard and he starts to
leave but hahahahaha, Zidane jumps the guy and takes his uniform.

Head back to the fountain and go down, Zidane will automatically hit
the elevator switch. Head to the left staircase and go upwards to find
Garnet, you will see an FMV of Garnet and a few doves, apparently she
was the one singing. Later Zidane heads up to look through the viewscope,
you will see the far landscape, pressing circle over the exclamation
points(!) will hinder something, but I'm not really sure what it does,
there are 7 exclamation marks though, catch all seven of them and the
slideshow will end. You will see Garnet looking through the telescope,
later the two talk which ends with Garnet singing again(not to be stupid
or anything like that, but why would Square give a voice to a character?
Personally Garnet doesn't even look like anybody that can sing anyways).

Later you will see Adelbert, outside kids run off as Viv examines the
toys on the floor, the screen fades to Freija who is on top of a roof
near the concert street, she jumps off as the screen switches to the
king, he looks over a few things as the scene comes back to Garnet and
Zidane. The two talk, Garnet isn't very happy...she seems upset about
the whole business of running from Alexandria town. Zidane leaps onto
the led, he nearly stumbles and runs back down. Later back at the town
you notice the palace guards in front of a cart, the animals inside
break loose, elsewhere more animals run amock. Later a giant bull breaks
loose from it's holding, it appears that you will have to hunt for
them, you will have 12 minutes to hunt for all the monsters.

Head outside and go to the monocart, you will see Garnet and Adelbert
at the top bridge, apparently they will cheer for Vivi instead of
Zidane...ahahahahahaha. Watch out though, the monocart will waste 8
seconds of your time, you think Square would be smart enough to actually
start the timer when you are gievn the chance to go out and attack.
Fight the monsters by pressing the O button when you are near them.

My gosh these critters are strong, attack them as normal. Head over
all around the place, don't worry if you lose though because you won't
have to start the hunting game over(unless you want to), you will arrive
at the throne room, depending if you won or lost Zidane or Freija will
recieve a few items while the loser gets jack. It's pretty linear to
go through the town anyways to find the monsters so there's no point in
me directing you everywhere, it's easy to look for them yourself. In
the throne room a wounded guard comes in. Apparently another kingdom has
been attacked, Zidane and Vivi will join Freija after a little convincing
but Garnet can't come since the party fears for her safety(good thing
too, she is pretty weak...don't tell Garnet I told you that! (^_^) ).

The party begins to eat in the dining room, Garnet eats after a little
convincing from Adelbert, but as they eat the party members faint as does
Freija and the king. Luckily it was just a sedative and not any poison.
Adelbert however isn't affected since she never used any of the potion
on the food. Garnet and Adelbert leaves the castle. Later the party soon
awakens and Zidane seems a little distraught at Garnet doing what she did.
Afterwards go save your game in the bedroom chamber and head out, go to
the elevator and head all the way to the bottom floor, take the shuttle
pod to the left, here you can talk to the guy in the pirate like outfit
to buy some items as you leave.

=============================================================================
QUINA AND THE MARSH LANDS Party's level: 7
=============================================================================

Outside here when you fight the enemies, they are pretty tough. You might
have to run from them a few times, trust me these guys are outta your
league right now, you can still beat them but two or more battles will
wear you down. Head up northeast a bit and you will be in Qu's Marsh.

As you head straight forward you find some moogles talking, this should
familiarize you since they have been in several forced ATEs in the past.
Head straight up through the long skinny grass stalks and keep going until
you reach the frog swamp, to the right is a frog that is easy to catch,
press the action button over the frog and take the frog back to the
fat lady that is walking around and name her 'Quina' which is in accordance
to the manual. Later the party has a talk with Quina, another frog comes
in and the party follows him/her(?) to his house. Choose the first choice
and Vivi and Zidane will talk a bit and later you will have Quina in
your party, the only thing Quina has equipped is a weapon, so I suggest
you equip some armor on her.

After that feel free to head out of the swamp, you can play the frog
hunting game if you return back to the Frog swamp, the objective of the
game is to catch as many frogs as possible within an unknown time limit.
The more you catch the better your item will be from the other frog,
the frogs play tricks on you sometimes, they hop onto land when your
outta range but as you come towards them they hop back into the waters,
  it's pretty funny though, heh.

=============================================================================
CHOCOBO'S FOREST Party's level: 9
=============================================================================

NOTE: As far I can tell, this event is purely optional but as you being the
Final Fantasy fan, you will know that you will have to play a little
deja vu, you will have to use the greens you got from the moogle inside
the forest to catch the chocobo, to find the chocobo you will have to
walk along the tracks of the chocobo and use the greens, blah blah
blah. You see the drill here? (^_^)

Head to the top right, go around the mountains and go past the river via
the bridge. You will see a mushroom head shaped forest, head inside and a
moogle will hop off a chocobo and talk with you. The chocobo will run
outside, you will hear a nice remix of the ever popular Chocobo theme that
  has been around since FF4.

=============================================================================
GIZAMALUKE'S GROTTO Party's level: 10
=============================================================================

Head to the right of the Chocobo Forest and you will see a small arc in
front of a mountain, head inside if you wish, it should look familiar to
you, you can also drink the water on the right to refresh your HP and MP
and collect a few useful items.

After that head out and go to the bridge again and go past the first
mountain and then then turn right and go upper-right to find a cave.
Save your game out here(press Square for a Mognet). Here inside Freija
will look over the fallen troops and then run inside deeper to the cave,
in here talk to the soldier on the right, he will give you a bell that will
open up the door to the next area. You will see several mages battling
against the soldiers, later the two jesters come in and halt you,
much to your demise they attack. The two mages aren't hard, just attack
  them as normal.

After the battle the two jesters run off in fear, afterwards fight the
other set of mages to recieve another bell. Go up and open the left
door, walk around to the bridge to recieve another bell from the downed
guard, now go open the center door and head through. Inside you will
see a moogle in front of a giant bell, later he will ask for an item,
I'm not sure if you have to give it to him though, select the first choice
to give him the item, once you give the moogle your item they two will
scamper off. Check the treasure chest inside, use the bell to ring open
  the door on the right.

Inside you can save your game, but as you leave a moogle gives you
a bell to open the door on the left outside. After the bell shatters
head inside and Freija will go over another wounded guard but then
something pops from the wall and the party prepares for attack.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My gosh this battle will be tough. Have Vivi be your healer, although he
doesn't hold any healing spells, have him use potions when the party needs
them. Have Quina attack as normal, have Zidane attack as normal and have
Freija jump, the jump attack will work very nicely(the second choice on
the battle menu for Freija). Have Vivi use fire spells when he is not
healing and repeat, note that this battle took a lot out of me as I only
had Freija left with 100 HP while all three of my other party members
  were wounded.

=============================================================================
SOUTH GATE Party's level: 5(Adelbert and Garnet)
=============================================================================

After the battle you will see Adelbert make it to the South Gate. Ask
you approach the guards, they will ask that Adelbert drop his bag and they
will browse through the suspicious sac, from the way things look I would
say Garnet is in there. Before you can head anywhere, you will NEED to talk
to the people here, speak to them twice or even three times, once the
guy moves over to the gate(the one that was in the bottom right corner)
head on tot he right, but a guard will later come in, head over to the
guard and he will talk for a while and then leave while he drops a pass
on purpose for you to get through.

As you enter through, Adelbert will place down the sac and the two will
talk for a while. You can buy some items at the shop, and not-surprisingly
you have just as much money as the other party, pick up the treasure chest
to the left and talk to the guy near the monocart and select the first
choice twice. Inside walk around the chairs and the train pilot will start
the train but not before a woman comes in to catch a ride before it leaves.
Adelbert and Garnet will talk for a while, afterwards the scene switches
to the other party. Once you head outside save your game, miraculously your
party's entire HP and MP has been fully restored.

There is a path to the right of the exit of the Grotto, there isn't
anything that you can do in there but it doesn't hurt to pick up a few
extra items. As you continue on you'll notice that it starts raining.
Head upwards and you will find a bitter looking castle in shambles.

=============================================================================
BURMECIAN KINGDOM Party's level: 11
=============================================================================

Inside the place looks like a wreck, fruits are on the ground and the
rain isn't helping much either. Head onto the north and later the two
jesters will pop out and talk with the party again, but like before they
have a few more tricks up their sleaves(is it smelling a flower? ahahaha),
two mages will attack you. Attack them like before, they are easier than
last time since your stats have boosted since the last encounter. After
the battle the two jesters exchange a few words and leave.

Head to the top right, inside if you try and pick up the treasure chest
it will attack you. Head to the left and keep going left until you reach
a weak structure that collapses. Now head back outside and take the other
path to the west, inside walk along the collapsed bridge to the next
room, go down and press the action button when the question mark shows
up and the party will jump across. Go to the back right of the room and
check it for a bell. Now head back outside and go back to the right part
of the house, go upstairs and use the bell and it will open the door.

Head inside and the party will speak for awhile before two Burmecian
residents run down the steps. Head up the steps and then head straight
into the house ahead, you will see a resident aiding to the injuries of
the soldier, luckily the part made it in time as the statue barely leaves
the soldier unscathed, now head up the balcony and go to the far left
doorway and enter through to the top, you can go to the right and talk
to the Mognet and save your game. As you head to the top of the room and
moogle dressed in dirty yellow rain gear comes in(awww...), pay him the
333Gil and he will give you a couple of items. Outside to the left door
inside Freija will pick up a spear from a statue, he tests the lance out
first and it seems sturdy...he won't equip it so equip the lance and
then head out and go up the center steps.

Freija will become a bit agitated and head inside himself without the
party, the party then follows him, they see the queen(or was it king?)
from Alexandria, they hide behind statues and overhear the conversation,
Freija will retrospect to a fellow dragoon and the two will talk, the
scene switches back to the present, another Burmecian dragoon approaces
the Alexandria queen, Zidane and Freija soon follow. But he soon runs
off as you will have to face Beatrice, who is one tough woman.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this battle have Zidane and Quina attack as normal. Have Freija jump
and have Vivi be both the healer and the magic user. Her lightning blade
attack can virtually wipe out a party member...there's very little that
you can do about that except bring that person back to life and heal them
to adequete HP. Her physical attacks range from 150-240 HP of damage...talk
about tough! Eventually she will attack the party and leave them with one
  HP standing.

After the battle the Queen and Beatrice leaves as an FMV displaces someone
overlooking the downed party...he flocks his hair like a pompuss and leaves
  off in his dragon.

NOTE: Quina is nowhere to be found in the FMV, he's like the Yuffie or
Vincent of Final Fantasy IX, he's not involved in the storyline totally
since he is an optional character.

Afterwards you will be asked if you wish to save your game before switching
discs, save your game and switch disks.

-------------------------------- [ DISC 2 ] ---------------------------------

Afterwards you will switch over to the scene at South Gate, you will later
see Garnet and Adelbert still in the train, she seems a little angry at
Adelbert as she gives him the silent treatment, afterwards once you get
off the train head to the next right into the lounge. Buy some new
equipment if you like, then talk to the guy under the giant clock to the
left part of the room twice, then head to the left and you will see
Zidane's friends outside, head back to the room. Talk with Adelbert and
the other two, then follow Adelbert outside and go to the lift, head
inside. The lift will head for Dali, talk with Zidane's friend inside the
lift and suddenly the train haults, the driver checks things out but
hurries back inside. He tells of a black mage...Ah OH! Adelbert and
Zidane's friend soon follow Garnet outside.

You will find the black mage battered and bruised and barely able to stand
  up from the last encounter.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy isn't tough. Have Garnet be the healer in this battle, her
physical attacks won't do much. Have your new friend and Adelbert attack
him regularly, you won't need and special tactics to deal away with this
guy, just some common sense. He will occassionally use ice and fire spells
at the party but he won't fly since he is too wounded to do so. His
physical attacks are pretty damaging, and note that your levels have not
gained like the other party members so eh.

After the battle the party look ahead and get aboard back the lift,
Garnet and Zidane's friend will talk(I'm not sure 100% but I'm assuming
Garnet is wondering why Zidane's friend would help them so quickly and
hastly). Afterwards head out. You will see a fork in the road, the left
will lead to Dali and the right will lead to the Dark City Treno. You've
already been to Dali so take the right path.

=============================================================================
DARK CITY TRENO Party's level: 6
=============================================================================

As you walk along on the world map, you will notice that the sun starts to
set and then it turns night time as you head to Treno. When the sun sets
you might be attacked(or should I say 'encounter') by some kind of angel,
the music isn't your typical battle music so you should know first hand.
I don't think you should attack it though, I did and it ran away. I think
you should just wait for it and it'll probably give you something special
  but I'm not sure.

Upon entering the city you notice that the people here look a bit pale
and they don't seem very active but eh. As Zidane's friend and Adelbert
talk Garnet leaves off to the left, when Adelbert does a little searching
Zidane's friend head off to the right. You will now encounter two ATEs.

The first ATE will have Garnet walking around, she asks for directions but
people just move past her. As you head to the right you will have another
ATE, or two of them for that matter. One shows Garnet looking arounad
while one shows Zidane's friend finding his other partner at the lower
  part of the room.

Head to the left and then go down the tower, another ATE will initiate,
you will see Garnet at an auction house, people bid unanimously at
various items. Down to the bottom left leads to a secluded shop that
sells armor and weapons, you will find a few useful items but not much,
the blanked out items are items that you can't buy since no one in your
  current party can equip them.

Up ahead you will meet an odd woman that creates a card out of thin air
and places it on the cage to the left. Head outside and take the down
path, continue along, you will find a main gate to the right, inside is
another weapons shop. When you head to the auction house, make sure to
check the floor to the left of the entrance to the auction house, pick up
2225 gil! Inside you will find Garnet, he will talk with her a while
  and then leave.

You will now take control of Garnet, head to the inn, you can rest if
you like, then head downstairs and speak with Zidane's friend, Adelbert
will quickly follow. Go down and talk with Zidane's other friend(so my
Japanese is bad...SUE ME!), a scene switches over to Kujah, who you saw
earlier in the last FMV of the first disc. At first I thought he was a
queen but I was wrong, but for good reason(ewwwww...)! Later you will
see Garnet and the party on a rowboat, Adelbert and Tifa...er...I mean
Garnet are on the opposite side of the boat and they ponder to
  themselves, Garnet wonders about Zidane.

You arrive at a familiar place(or it should be familiar to you if you
had naviagated through the city completely), its behind the weapons shop
on the lower part of Treno City. Later the shopkeeper comes down and
talks with the party, but they later here the shopkeeper's daughter and
he tells the party to leave quickly. You can find the shopkeeper over
at the tower to the far left of the city. Zidane's friend wanders in
casually and takes the treasure chest like it was his(heh), Adelbert
is agitated that he would do that right in front of the face of the store
owner. Speak with the shopkeeper some more, he will flash back to a
library and talk about 500 years in the past(or something). If I'm not
mistaken the little girl is Garnet, after a long talk he opens up a
  hatch which leads to...

=============================================================================
GARGAN ROO Party's level: 8
=============================================================================

After the conversation feel free to save your game. Head to the left and
hit the switch(and collect the treasure chests along the way), then head to
the right path and then go to the left and hit the switch. Then head around
to the right, you will eventually pull on a triangle that will have an
ant cart move around, go around back to the first switch on the same room
and press it, a little bug will come out and attract the ant's attention
and it will eat the bug.

The shopkeeper will pull the triangle lever but nothing will happen,
later the ant stops when it sees a snake...it looks like your gonna have to
do a favor for the ant(since it did you a favor by taking you around).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This snake isn't too hard, however it will poison you though. Use a green
bottle(the light green bottle) to cure it, have Garnet be the healer and
the occassional attacker. Have Adelbert and Marcus attack as normal.

After the battle the party arrives at their new location, but are soon
trapped between two gates. Scorn and Zorn appear overhead, afterwards you
finally switch back over to Freija and the other party members. They
head out and head northeast towards a giant sand cyclone.

=============================================================================
CLEYA'S TRUNK Party's level: 13
=============================================================================

Inside the party reaches further into the giant forest, head deeper and
hit the switch on the right then enter through the tree. Outside head
around to the top right and in the next area check the small hole at the
bottom and choose the second choice, you will hit a switch that sends
sand flowing another direction. Head outside and climb the chains near
the door, you will have notice that the place is flooded with sand, so now
you can walk your way across. At the top left is a Mognet where you can
save your game. Also note if you encounter a sand bear, you might find it
difficult to defeat if not impossible, attack the red jewel and ignore the
body, but it will counter attack everytime you hit the jewel though.

Head along and continue forward, you will eventually find a fork in the
road, take the left path, you will eventually find a room with three
whirlpools, quickly press "O" to get out of them quickly. Keep going to
the left and you will reach...

=============================================================================
CLEYA'S SETTLEMENT Party's level: 15
=============================================================================

You will reach a peaceful area, the residents quickly notice Freija, you
can select the first choice and the guide will tour you around the place,
however Quina stays behind as if he wasn't even part of the storyline at
all. Afterwards head around to the top, an ATE will take place as you will
see Quina wandering around at the place, two residents approach him but
as he gets near them they run away from him, as you head to the top left
another ATE will occur with Vivi, the residents seems a bit intimidated
by Vivi. As you head back to where Quina was, an ATE shows up with Quina
wandering around, he'll be a little surprised to find mushrooms and takes
  a sniff at them.

At the Cleya castle you notice that Freija is inside discussing matters
but you can't get in, head outside and go down towards the middle part of
the Settlement, the music stops, a guard comes in and tells the man of
a giant bug, head to the right part of the entrance to the Settlement and
you will find a giant bug holding a resident captive, he throws the kid
  and the fight starts.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have Vivi use Ice in this battle, it seems to be the most effective in the
battle against this guy from all of his other spells. Have Freija jump and
have Zidane and Quina attack as normal. Have Vivi be the healer in the
battle and have Quina be the part time healer if neccessary. The bug will
use a pretty ferocious fire attack that does anywhere from 250-570 HP of
damage depending on your magic defense. It's Maelstorm attack will cut
your party's HP down to the single digits, so keep an eye for that. This
guy will not be easy, don't be surprised if you lose a few times.

After the battle the little kid scurries off thanking the party, Freija
goes and talks with the King of the Cleya Settlement...he later dances,
and I later cover my eyes. An FMV shows a giant energy wave encircling
Cleya and dispersing the clouds as the giant tree of Cleya lays visible.
You will see Adelbert head in a cage hanging above, Garnet will be in
another room as Scorn and Zorn comes in, they tell her that the queen
wishes to see her, but she will go to the queen herself without the
escort, Kujah will knock Garnet unconscious with his magic and later
Scorn and Zorn will perform some kind of ceremony over the body of
  Garnet.

You will now control Freija, head to the entrance of the Cleya Settlement
and you will find the party. They are set to go, head out of here, you
notice that the sands stop moving, thanks to the death of the Ant Lion.
You will encounter some Alexandria guards on the way but they are easy
to beat, as you reach the bridge the little kid you saved earlier will
come in and the party leaves after the little kid, Beatrice later comes
in. The kid had said that the settlement was attacked by black mages.
It looks like you will have to take care of them, more Alexandria troops
arrive, becareful though you won't get many chances to heal between
  battles.

Head up closer to the palace, the settlement suffer a lot of casualties,
they make it back up to the palace and find their route cut off, later
a fellow dragoon takes care of the mages, inside the throne room the
party talks and suddenly they find Beatrice. She snatches the red jewel
and runs off. The party soon follows, save your game as you leave.
  Outside you will fight Beatrice.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully you have Fire2, you should've have found a staff along the way
to the settlement earlier in the game and equipped it on Vivi. Use Fire2
often in this battle, it'll be a tough bout. Have Freija Jump and Quina and
Zidane attack as normal. She uses several attacks that can knock out a
party member in one hit, which is pretty damn cheap since Square likes to
make tough bosses occassionally, but the problem is that sometimes their
bosses are TOO tough. She will heal herself when you've done about 2400
HP of damage, but not much though...she'll heal about 700 HP. After the
battle she'll do that attack again that will leave the entire party's
HP down to 1. Also note that her lightning attack will strike for over
800 HP of damage, she will most likely hit Zidane first and then knock
out Quina, Vivi, and Freija in that order. Even if you don't get a
chance to heal Zidane back to full life, keep him alive, bring him back
to life and don't bother trying to heal him. Use him as a dummy to take
  the lightning attacks.

After the battle Beatrice will escape, another mage will escape as well
but Zidane will follow after it. As will Vivi and Freija, Quina however
will stay behind. You will later see an FMV of the Queen as she sends a
giant beam thrusting upon the Cleya Settlement, out of the beam will come
Odin, with one spear shot he destroys the entire tree and leaves the
Queen dumbfounded. The party arrives just in time to see the ashes left
on the Settlement, they hide over behind the steps of the Red Rose, after
that follow wear Beatrice went off. The party will oversea the Queen take
the jewel from Beatrice, they will speak of Garnet and much to the
surprise, Zidane speaks out. Head out and and follow your party members
back to the telepots(you heard me), you will see a Mognet along the way
but don't worry about it. It's just there as a save. The party then heads
  out for Garnet.

=============================================================================
STUCK IN A RUT Party's level: 17
=============================================================================

You will see Marcus and Adelbert in the cage, he tells you to move the
controller left and right to break free. You will have to move in
accordance with Marcus, otherwise you will never break free. Once you
start swinging a lot you will have to move right twice then left twice
then repeat until you crash at the right wall.

You will have to fight a few Alexandria guards, they will follow you and
it's pretty hard not to fight them but they aren't much trouble anyways.
Head to the far left ladder and climb up the ladder and head left, later
Freija, Vivi, and Zidane arrive near Adelbert as Marcus scampers off to
look for Garnet. You will be given 30 minutes(in real time) to find
Garnet, quickly find her because if your timer expires so does Garnet.
Head off to the left and then go up. You will have to fight a few
Alexandria guards at the gate but not much trouble. Head up the stairs
and then go around to the bottom, and climb up the spiral staircase
where you had met Garnet earlier, check the wall to the left of the
fireplace and hit the switch(first option) and the fireplace will move
and open up a secret passage.

When you reach downstairs make sure to pick up the treasure chests, one
of them contains a sword which is practically double the attack power of
the sword Adelbert currently has. Head downstairs and then immediately
take the door at the bottom, inside Scorn and Zorn will finally attack
  you out of fustration.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle isn't too hard, just focus your attacks on one target, each
of them have about 5000 HP. Have Vivi use Fire2, have Zidane and Adelbert
attack as normal and have Freija Jump. They will use occassional magic
spells like Comet(which does about 200+ HP of damage to every party member
by the way) but it's really nothing to worry about.

After the battle the two leave, head up to Garnet. But it looks like the
party is too late, an ATE shows up. Marcus is seen wandering around the
woods, afterwards Zidane carries Garnet. You can save on the way out.
Head back to the castle and when the party makes it out, Zidane will
place Garnet on a chair, Beatrice will later come in.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle isn't much different from the last encounter. Have Vivi attack
with Fire2, have Freija Jump, and have Zidane and Adelbert attack as
normal. She has about 7000 HP this time. After the battle she will use that
Fallen Angel like attack and cut the party's HP down to one.

After the battle Zidane will wonder why she had to kill Garnet, Beatrice
heads over to Garnet and revives her much to the dislike of Scorn and
Zorn. Queen Alexandria comes in and see what has happened, Zidane, Garnet,
Vivi, and Adelbert soon leave but Beatrice and Freija stay behind to
  fight a monster.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle is a piece of cake, have Beatrice use her explosion attack
or whatever it's called, it's the spell that costs the most MP to put it
at best. It'll do 1900 HP of damage and it should kill the beast within
  one hit.

After the battle lead Zidane and the party down the steps...you will
eventually have to fight against three black mages. They are tougher than
last time but not too tough, as you reach the bottom stairwell Adelbert
will go back to Freija, meanwhile Freija and Beatrice all dealing with
problems of their own. Afterwards have Zidane head out but as they do the
steal cages pop up again as does Scorn and Zorn but your friends come to
your aid in this one knocking out Scorn and Zorn. Later the party will
escape(Zidane) and hop onto the ant cart, but another bug lies in the
  way.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This boss isn't too hard, one thing you must watch out for is when it has
it's tail coiled around itself, DO NOT ATTACK IT AT THIS POINT! Otherwise
if you do it will do an earthquake attack that damages the entire party
HEAVILY. If you keep up a rabid attack then this battle should be easy,
as it coils itself take the time to heal yourself. Have Vivi use Fire2
and have Zidane attack as normal, Garnet should be the healer in the
  battle.

Later the giant centipede still runs after the party, the ant quickly
runs away in dramatic FMV fashion. Later Scorn and Zorn are shown in the
throne room trying to talk to the Queen but the soldiers won't let them
through. Later Brahne comes in and tells the Queen that she will look for
  the party.

=============================================================================
PINNACLE ROCKS Party's level: 19
=============================================================================

Garnet wakes up after a rough landing, they are later approached by an
old man, namely Ramuh. Afterwards feel free to save your game, head down
to the bottom and collect the treasure chest, you will find Ramuh, head
to the right but GO AROUND instead of going above to the stalk, you will
find another treasure chest and you will find Ramuh again. Go up and then
go down and you will find Ramuh again, head upwards and you will find Ramuh
again, then head back to the previous stalk and go across the bridge to
find Ramuh for the 5th time, choose the 2nd choice then the 1st choice
when you see him. As you continue on through, later you see an FMV of ships
attacking Lindbulm, mages come through and wreck the place, another FMV
takes place as a giant worm sucks in part of the town.

The party soon arrives at Lindbulm, Vivi will head out as Garnet and Zidane
head inside, head up towards the top center of the town and the chancellor
will lead you to King Cid, later Vivi will come in, you will later recieve
3000 Gil, as you head out an ATE will start, you'll see Alexandria guards
at the castle of Alexandria doing the sorts. Head to the monocart, it's
been fixed now, grab a few treasure chests in the room and then head back
and go to the top of the town again, speak with the man near the fountain
and select the first choice and an ATE will start up showing Lindbulm
guards aboard a ship, later Zidane and Garnet will sneak to the elevator.
Upon arriving at the bottom you will find Vivi and then Cid will guide you
  out.

NOTE: Before heading out you may want to buy some weapons, head back to the
very top of town and go in the right house and talk to the man to buy
      some weapons and armor.

He also gives you an item, then an ATE will start and they will head out
as they noticed that Zidane and the party are about to leave. Head outside
and save your game if you wish.

=============================================================================
FOSSIL ROO AND QUINA Party's level: 19
=============================================================================

NOTE: I think you might need Quina for this even, but I'm not really sure.

Head back to the Marsh northeast of the exit of Lindbulm and go to the
frog swamp again and talk with Quina and he'll join your party again.
After that while still inside the marsh, head over to the far right part
of the marsh and go into the grass stalks, Quina will eventually tell
the party of another route. They will arrive at the entrance of Fossil
  Roo.

Afterwards head inside, after a small earthquake a demon chariot comes
chasing after the party, if you won't make it through in time you will
have to fight it. If you do fight it then you'll only need one Fire2
spell to knock it out, quickly escape as it recovers itself. Once you
reach over the crack on the bridge the chariot will drop to the bottom,
the pendulum axes don't do any damage to you surprisingly, Branhe will
  later come in.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle shouldn't be too tough, attack with Fire2, have Zidane and
Quina attack as normal and have Garnet be the healer. Her physical attacks
are pretty strong though so keep note of that, but she moves pretty slow.

Head into the next room and go to the left and pick up a flower, press
the action button over the tunnel and the bug will eat the flower and the
party hops onto it for a ride. Once you hop off head to the next room,
you can save your game here, head up top and do the flower bit again.

Once you hop off go around and push the lever, head out and do the flower
bit again, stand on the dark brown part of the floor and use the flower.
After you hop off head upwards and go around and push the lever, then go
back and pick up a flower and go up the stairs and use the flowers. Now
once you are in the previous room with the dark brown spot on the floor
hit the other switch and ride the bug back to the moogles.

Now take the bottom path this time, you should arrive in front of a
merchant. You can buy some armor here if you like, then go up, don't hit
the switch, just continue on and use the flower again. When you hop off
take the bottom path, you can climb the vines to the far right, there
isn't much you can do except grab some useful items and help the miner to
dig. Climb up to the top left and hit the switch and then go to the
bottom right(yes those are graphics not actual video, amazing huh?), ride
the bug and then head outside.

=============================================================================
OUTER CONTINENT Party's level: 21
=============================================================================

Head northeast from the exit and then go around to the bridge, you might
also notice a lady bug of some kind that approaches you in battle, frankly
I'm not sure what to do with it so eh. Make your way to the bridge and
  head inside.

=============================================================================
CONDE PETIE Party's level: 22
=============================================================================

Once you head inside your party members split up and an ATE starts, Vivi
can be seen wandering around while he encounters a few people, Quina will
be seen in front of an item shop. Feel free to explore around town, go
find Vivi after your done and you will find another ATE that shows Quina
wandering around, you can rest for 100G at someone's house to the far
left room at the top, as you continue on you will see an ATE with Garnet
who is shown in the room that you were just in, talk with Vivi and he will
run off. Another ATE will transpire involving a few residents and Vivi.

As you head down you notice a black mage buying items, it notices you and
runs off as Vivi chases after it. Before you head out you might want to
save your game at the item shop. Then head out.

=============================================================================
MYSTERIOUS MAZE Party's level: 22
=============================================================================

NOTE: This next paragraph is optional.

Head to the southeast from the Conde Petie and go to the green forest
and inside you notice it looks much like the Marsh from before, head
upwards to the frog swamp, you can play the frog hunting game if you like
but it's not worth the time.

NOTE: This next paragraph is not optional.

Directly south of Conde Petie is the maze forest, you will have to go
around the mountains to reach it, you can head southeast from the Marsh
to get here. If the owl flies away that means you are going the right
path, don't worry about re-appearing on the same screen or what not(this
place reminds me of the Eastern bone islands in Chrono Cross). Once all
four owls fly away you will find a mage that clears up a mirage and the
  party soon enters through.

=============================================================================
BLACK MAGE VILLAGE Party's level: 24
=============================================================================

When you reach here the party splits up once again, an ATE screen shows
up again showing all three various party members looking around. You can
check the weapons shop to the left, they have tons of new goodies. You will
go into a forced ATE when you reach the top left, this scenario shows
Vivi talking with two other mages. Head over to the item shop and go to
the right and find Vivi, choose the first choice and the party will rest
in. You will see Vivi head out, Garnet seems a little worried but Zidane
tells her to relax and get some sleep. Zidane will later flash back to
his past as he is seen in the room in Lindbulm along with Baku...later
the party heads out, make sure to buy some new equipment on the way out.

Head back to Conde Petie, head to the left hallway and talk to the fat
dwarf, in a small scenario Zidane tries to get a kiss from Garnet but
fall flat-headed. Afterwards head to the weapons shop(which is above
the item shop) and then the two dwarves will leave and allow you through.

=============================================================================
MOUNTAIN PATH Party's level: 25
=============================================================================

Head down and you will find a little girl stuck on a tree limb and a moogle
that flies near it. Quina will create a mini earthquake as Zidane catches
the little girl, name the little girl 'Eiko' which is in accordance to the
manual. Quina will leave your party as Eiko will be a party member.

Head to the right and you will eventually find two moogles, feel free to
save your game and continue on. You will eventually see an FMV displacing
a giant tree...as the party heads on they face a boss battle.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this battle have Garnet use Ramuh, also have her be the occassional
healer. Have Zidane attack as normal and have Vivi attack with Fire2 and
have Eiko be the full time healer because she just...well...how should I
put this...stinks. Watch for his earthquake, spread your heal(press R1 or
L1) after he does this. His physical attacks are strong but not too much
  to be worried about.

After the battle continue onwards and take the bottom path for a few
treasures, then take the top path and head out and feel free to save your
  game.

=============================================================================
MADAIN SARI Lost Summers Party's level: 25
=============================================================================

Head straight ahead north into the small mountain, inside you will find
moogles behind mountains. The party follows the moogles as they head off,
Eiko does a few tricks with the moogle as it places into her hands the
size of a quarter but flies out the size of a human head. She will plead
with Zidane over and over to keep the little moogle, later an ATE shows
up with Vivi over a mountain ledge. Head over to the left to find Vivi,
later another ATE comes up with Garnet, she will be shown near the entrance
of the Sari pondering, later as you move towards the cave a forced ATE
shows up with Eiko in the kitchen of the moogle house...probably telling
  them what to cook.

Head over to the right and you will find a moogle, talk to it and Quina
will show up and she will take a dive towards the river. Then head back
to where Vivi is and talk with the Moogle, it will fly away and allow
you through but not before a smaller moogle takes it place. Head back to
the fountain and an ATE will start up with Eiko in the kitchen talking to
a moogle, head out to where Garnet is and talk to her and she will be in
your party now. Head over to the right and talk with the moogle and he
will show you inside, afterwards head out and you will see another ATE
with Eiko, Quina will hop up and get Eiko a little agitated.

Head over to talk with the Moogle on the far left the moogle will let
you through and Eiko will invite the party over for dinner. You can see
a moogle at the top right of your screen...after dinner take the pot off
the table(heh...Zidane looks funny carrying the pot) and take it back to
Eiko. Pick up the treasure chests back at the dining room and try to
head out, the moogle will offer you to rest so select the first choice
and you do. In the middle of the night you will find Vivi outside(or
should I say early in the morning) and Zidane will talk with him for
awhile, you will also see Eiko contemplating to herself as well.

Afterwards in the morning the party leaves...head back to the Mountain
  Path.

=============================================================================
IIFA, The Ancient Tree of Life Party's level: 25
=============================================================================

Head back to the Mountain Path and then go around to the top and when
you reach outside head straight forward towards the giant tree. Inside the
party notices an energy barrier that blocks their path, select the third
choice for Eiko's help. The first choice will have Zidane try to poke
through the field, the second option will have Zidane try to kick through
the field but he fails miserably. She will take down the force field, so
head on through until you reach the upper roots of the tree.

Take note that the enemies here are very beatable and they give away a
jack of expierience points too! Keep going to the left and you can save
your game if you like, upon entering the platform you will be given
three options, choose the one with Eiko's name on it and Zidane will hop
onto the platform but soon gets off it as a little intimadation strikes.
The party then hops onto the platform, now keep going down, the lights
will begin to dim but they are just there for special effects.

If you encounter a red dragon, be careful...it's pretty strong. Use magic
against it, Fire2 and Ramuh deal over 1000 HP of damage against this guy.
Continue downwards, as you reach the inner roots of the tree the party
stops and looks in awe. The party will then ride the platform towards the
bottom...you will later encounter in a few battles...once you reach the
bottom talk to Vivi and Eiko. Later after Zidane examines the wall on the
bottom left an eruption takes place as the tree wakes up. Go up and head
to Garnet to check if she's okay, then you will see the soul of the tree.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the toughest battle in the game so far by far. Have Zidane attack
as normal, have Vivi cast Fire2, have Garnet use Ramuh, and let Garnet
be the part time healer and let Eiko be the full time healer. The tree
will occassionally use the death attack, it'll most likely miss but if
it gets ya then I suggest you bring that party member back to life
immediately. Watch for it's Fire2 attack, it will do about 240 HP of damage
to all party members. I think this guy has about 12000 HP or so...why
did Square have to make this battle near borderline impossible? For several
times, I'm pissed off at Square...can you guys imagine losing to this guy
20 times? And I have an infinite life code on for Pete's sake! Square
must've been smoking something when they put this guy in a battle as
early. Note that Eiko should use the Pheonix Summon that she has when the
party is down, it'll do a lot of damage on the tree and it'll revive your
party members as well(all of them). Here's a useful tip from Megat
  Suhamdan:

"Actually there is a trick on beating that tree. The trick is to not let Vivi
use any fire magic (or other magician that have fire magic) because the tree
can counterattack with a very nasty fire magic spell which can kill almost
everyone in the party. So physical attack and other magic spell are command of
the day."

I can't really confirm this since I haven't attempted to fight the boss
again(it would take a few days to get back there).

Later an FMV takes place as life starts to restore to the surrounding
  areas.

=============================================================================
RETROSPECT EVENTS TRANSPIRE Party's level: 27
=============================================================================

Head back to Madain Sari, head to the kitchen and then go down to the room
below the kitchen, after the talk head over to the right and talk to the
moogle and select the first choice. You will see Rani holding Eiko, select
the first choice again and you will walk back in, this time a man in green
will save Eiko. Later she escapes and you will have to fight the man in
green one on one. This battle isn't too hard, just keep your HP above 400
and attack, if he moves all the way to the right, then most likely your
attack will miss, if you hit him while he's at the bottom right your attack
  power against him doubles.

After the battle the party cheers over Zidane's victory...he gives back
the item he stole from Eiko and runs off, head back to Eiko's room after
the small event, outside of the dining room you will see a "!" pop up,
you will hear Garnet sing. After a long talk the boat will set sail, you
will see an FMV as Garnet seems to be taking a retrospect at what she had
saw at the beginning of the game, she will later faint...in the middle of
the night they walk along the east side of the Sari...in the morning they
party is greeted by the man in green again, name him 'Coral' which is
short for Salamander Coral(or just his last name). You will not be able to
select who goes and who stays...Coral is a good person to have in your
group though...but he's not too good on the magic side but since you
already have 3 magic party members, then I suggest you leave one of them
  behind.

Return back to the Mountain Path and then return to the Iifa Tree. The
first choice is to switch party members, the second is to go to your sub
menu screen and the third choice is to continue onwards. Keep going onwards
into the tree, as you make it towards the tree Coral will take Vivi and
Eiko and jump down, you will soon see Kujah...the party talks with him,
you will later see an FMV of ships sailing towards the Iifa tree controlled
by Queen Alexandria. You will now fight a battle with two monsters, which
the battle is pretty easy to win. Now head out of here, you will have to
face a few more battles but nothing you can't handle. Garnet will then
touch a stone statue that begins to generate some kind of energy, later
an FMV will appear as a giant dragon comes out of the water towards Kujah
and it begins to flame the Iifa tree...Kujah suffers a little cut but he
seems to enjoy the blood. Yet another FMV displaces as a giant energy field
strikes the entire lands and surrounding seas...finally at last Queen
Alexandria gets what she deserves...she gets toasted by the dragon(which
I'm presuming is Bahamut), but unfortunately she is still alive...dang.

Later along the shore sides Garnet speaks with the Queen as her ship
washes along shore...after the talk the queen dies. However, the queen
hands over the kingdom to Garnet. The shopkeeper from Treno is later shown
in a courtyard as Garnet, Adelbert, and Beatrice show their condolences.
Another FMV shows Garnet walking down along the shores...she sees the pool
reflect Alexandria Kingdom and looks off in disbelief...now is the time
  to switch CDs.

--------------------------------- [ DISC 3 ] --------------------------------

You will see Garnet, Adelbert, the shopkeeper, and Beatrice in a rowboat
with Adelbert doing the rowing, after the party gets off. You will see
Zidane in a bar, his friends will chase a girl out of the bar, head Vivi
towards the right, an ATE will show up as Eiko walks towards the entrance
of Alexandria castle...she will talk with a few chefs as they head inside.
You can play a small mini game if you talk to the hippo, if you win(which
you definitely should because the hippo is slower than my internet
connection, ha!) by a good margin you will recieve a item. Press the
Square and Circle buttons rapidly and simultaneously to run.

Head back to the left where Marcus and Baku where chasing after the bar
girl. An ATE will show up where 3 people dressed as animals will learn how
to be fearful. Kepp heading through, an ATE will be presented to you,
Marcus and his friends are in an alley way, another ATE shows a purple
moogle walking across the rooftops, if you walk into an inn you will
see unfortunate people that can't afford for an inn that costs 100G.
I think a little girl will ask if you will pay for the inn, but she later
decides not to take you up on the offer. Later head out to the left alley
and you will see Marcus. Head down to the bar and an automated event
will transpire, later you see Garnet in her room having a conversation
with Adelbert, Garnet will have to get changed as Adelbert stands there
like a dummy not knowing that he will have to leave for Garnet to get
changed...later Beatrice will help Garnet with the gown on as the scene
  switches to...

Later you see Eiko in the hallway, she wanders around and then leads
the shopkeeper out. Afterwards Garnet is in her tailor made dress...if I
didn't know any better(believe me, I know better) Garnet looks like Rinoa
but eh. Later head Eiko towards the guest hallway and she will bump into
Baku that will almost knock her over the balcony rail but luckily she
her shirt hangs onto the structure of the rail, she drops a letter
accidentally as Baku heads over and picks it up and leaves...heh he just
leaves her hanging and leaves with the note. He arrives at the port but
he accidentally drops the note and doesn't notice it, and neither does
Adelbert. Beatrice later comes in and notices the note and picks it up
and reads it...the scene switches over to Zidane as his friends come back
to the bar. Vivi later comes in and joins Zidane, so head out.

Upon heading out an ATE starts up, a funny scenario with Baku shows up.
Head to past the lower bar(the bar that was in the alley way), you can
head up to the belltower and ring the bell, a treasure chest will drop
and you will get a lot of useful items. Then head back to the town square
and head up north...you will later see Freija...who hasn't been in the
party for quite some time. Coral and Freija will quickly recognize each
other and before they start a little ruckus Zidane and Vivi comes in.
Afterwards the boat sails in, get on the boat and you will later arrive
at the castle. Upon reaching the castle Adelbert throws out the little
kid that's been wandering around(which is Eiko). Later the party heads
inside, they will see Garnet but Zidane doesn't know what the big deal
is about...disgusted Garnet later heads inside back to her room.

You will see Eiko outside, she will later hide as Marcus comes in, they
later hide as the drop a letter on the floor. Adelbert comes in and picks
the letter up and reads it as Beatrice comes in...she thinks the love
letter was from Adelbert and Adelbert thinks the love letter was from
Beatrice...they get closer to each other(much to their liking Marcus and
Eiko get closer to get a better view) but they soon stop as Baku comes
in. Heh...that was a funny scene!

The scene switches over to the bar, the party talks for a while as the
shopkeeper comes in and they later head out and ride the ant cart. An
ATE shows up as Scorn and Zorn arrive at the town. They later hide as
Marcus comes in, they overhear the conversation and leave. Zidane and
the party later arrive at Treno. An ATE shows up as Eiko and Vivi are
outside as Eiko runs off. As you head Zidane towards the spiral steps
another ATE starts up as the resident leads Vivi towards the entrance
of Treno, as you head out another ATE starts up with Coral wandering
around town, head around and an ATE will start as Eiko watches overhead
in the entry hallway in the palace, Quina later comes in and chases
off the guy away. If you head over to Queen Stella(she's the one in the
room with all the cages) you can play the card game...I still don't
know how to play the game yet so don't ask (^_^). Press Square while
talking to her tennant to play. You can head over to the castle entrance
and purchase a ticket to play the card game...it's easier to win there
  for some reason.

NOTE: When you play the Card Game you must play as often as new ATEs
show, this will prompt up some ATEs before King Cid shows up.

When you head out an ATE starts as Vivi is shown inside some caverns,
a ghost that looks like Quina shows up and talks with Vivi and vanishes.
The other ATE shows Coral and Freija talking, later head to the auction
house, an ATE will pop up as Freija and Coral talk some more...Zidane
will be shown coming through the door as he talks with Coral and leaves.
Try to buy some things at the auction house, you can buy a useful and
powerful weapon for Zidane(I think it's a Vedic Blade?) or Darkmatter,
which is powerful stuff. Head back to the card house(you must win)
and an ATE with Quina will show up and she will jump into the waters.
Another ATE shows up as Eiko speaks with the old man, walk around town
and then return to the card shop again, this time when you enter King
Cid will arrive, after the card game the residents will speak with King
Cid and Eiko will arrive at his area...later Alexandria is attacked by
Kujah and the dragon in FMV fashion.

=============================================================================
ALEXANDRIA UNDER RAID! Party's level: 26
=============================================================================

Later Beatrice will ask of the commands of Garnet, afterwards Beatrice
will tell the guards to post at their positions...Adelbert and Beatrice
will head out but Garnet faints as an errie energy glows over her.

Outside have Adelbert and Beatrice battle the monsters in the town,
afterwards head towards the bottom and you will fight another monster,
afterwards continue towards the south part of town, you will have to
fight several battles non-stop so be prepared and heal in battles. After
the battles Garnet will regain consciousness, head towards the top and
head to the middle room upstairs and take the left path, the armorines
will cut off your path once you have passed through them, continue to the
top and after she reaches the platform it will switch over to the party
in an airship. On the ship an energy field forms on Eiko as it knocks
the party unconcious besides Zidane, she will head to the port and jump
off. Later an FMV shows her movements towards Garnet as the two pendants
attract each other, the two form some kind of magical bond, afterwards
an FMV will take place as a giant pheonix forms around the castle
shielding the castle from the dragon's attacks, it runs off but it can't
dodge all the energy shots and gets blown out of the sky.

Another FMV shows a giant eye in the sky...it seems a lot more powerful
than the dragon. Inside the eye you see an odd figure that looks like
Jayakoto from Chrono Cross...King Cid is shown inside the guest hall at
Alexandria Castle...the party soon follows. Head up to the left tower
where Garnet is, as you reach the bottom of the tower the rest of the
party leaves, head Zidane upstairs, later an earthquake hits, an FMV
shows the eye burning through the white wings...Zidane quickly comes
in and saves Garnet(as expected). Another FMV shows the eye blasting
a kick ass blast destroying basically the whole of Alexandria.

Later you will see King Cid in Lindbulm, once Zidane awakens in the
castle head out but before you go anywhere your friend comes along, as
you head out an ATE shows Quina on the docks of Lindbulm, she later awakens
and scares off the guards. Head to the elevator and head upwards and
head to the dining room, after they tell you to find Garnet head up to
the left tower and you will find Garnet in front of the telescope.
After the talk an ATE shows up...Zidane's friend is seen resting on the
post near the dining room. Head to your friend and after a short talk
he'll leave. Head upstairs above the dining room and talk with King Cid.
My gosh is he lazy, after the talk the throne moves down to the dining
  room via mechanics.

After a small talk Eiko runs out and a couple of ATEs start up in
succession. The significant ATE shows Kujah cowering in front of his
White Eagle airship as Scorn and Zorn seems to be siding with Kujah
now. Afterwards Eiko will tell the party that Garnet is gone, much to
their surprise the party heads out, head towards the guest bedroom
and you will find Garnet there. The party talks for a while as later the
screen fades to Zidane in front of King Cid.

NOTE: Thanks to Elranzer for this next apart about both the dialogue and
the location of the three leaves.

The King will ask you to find three leaves, once you head out an ATE
starts up as the scene shows a few of the foundations of Lindbulm being
rebuilt with the help of Marcus and Zidane's other friends. Head out of
the castle and take the first choice on the monocart, then head upwards
to the top near the fountain and talk to the woman in white and select
the first choice and she will give you leaf, then head back to the
monocart and take the first choice, once you get off Zidane will talk
with a few Burmecian residents and then an ATE will start up, you will
see Freija talking with a few more Burmecian residents.

Afterwards head to the house on the right across the monocart go inside
the painters house and check the table at the bottom left hand corner of
the screen to pick up the leaf, it's under the table. Afterwards head out
and go down the stairs to the left, you will find your friends in the
middle of a construction project, one of them will toss you a leave they
had in their possession. After you've got all three leaves head back
to King Cid, he will now turn into a frog. Down at the dining room King
Cid and the Chancellor talk with the party and tells them that they have
  a boat ready for them.

As you head outside an ATE starts as Quina wanders into Lindbulm, he
begins munching on some hot dills as the screen fades. Head back to the
monocart and go towards the up part of town where Quina is, it appears
that Quina ate 100G worth of dills, Zidane decides to pay the tab for her.
Quina will now rejoin your party. Head back to the castle and go down the
elevator to the shuttle area and take the right cart, pick up the treasure
chest and head out to the docks and climb the ship.

After a small talk you will be able to select your party, select wisely
and head out. Go to the north continent and return to the Black Mage
  Village.

=============================================================================
RETURN TO BLACK MAGE VILLAGE Party's level: 28
=============================================================================

Inside here an automated event will transpire, Vivi will leave your party
temporarily, follow him and then head out to the east part of the village
and you will find Vivi again. Follow him inside and you will see a baby
chocobo...after a short tal you see Garnet and Eiko outside talking, Eiko
will wonder what's wong with Garnet and she says she worries about Vivi.
Afterwards head out of here and return back to your ship.

Go to the top right part of the SAME continent and you will see a very
sandy area, head there and there are four quicksand pools, head into
either one of them, be sure to save before entering them because you will
have to fight the Antlion again if you enter the wrong quick sand pool.
I'm not sure if it's random everytime but the one on the top right will
  lead to your next destination.

=============================================================================
TRAPPED! Party's level: 29
=============================================================================

When you awaken you will see King Cid in the same confinement as you, Kujah
speaks out to him and toys with him a little opening the floor a bit to
reveal a pool of magma flowing beneath them. They later head out, Zidane
tells King Cid to head back to Lindbulm.

Head Zidane onwards and the two black mages will teleport him to the upper
floor in a Chrono Cross like portal. You will later meet Kujah, who gives
Zidane a guestly bow. Afterwards you will have to set up a new party,
after you choose Kujah will call upon the friends you've selected and when
they arrive Kujah will teleport Zidane and his party to another level.
Head around to Kujah's airship, it will lift off, inside Zidane wishes to
know where they are going but he recieves no valid reply. Later Scorn and
Zorn laugh at Zidane and tell them that they are headed off somewhere
  far from home.

=============================================================================
THE FORGOTTEN CONTINENT Party's level: 29
=============================================================================

As you head off the ship you can go back to the ship and buy some items
but you can't leave. The enemies around here are tough as nails...I urge
you to save your game before heading any further...these enemies are way
out of your league and you might not be able to escape in time before you
  get demolished.

NOTE: This next paragraph is optional, however it will help you later as you
      reach out of the castle.

Now look at the tail of the airship and look at where it's pointing, head
directly straight from the TAIL OF THE AIRSHIP and you will find chocobo
tracks eventually, pick up a chocobo using the greens(the feather like
object in your inventory aside from the Pheonix Down).

Head up north and you will find a temple(NOTE: The castle you see at the
bottom of a mountain crevice IS NOT the next destination).

=============================================================================
OEILVERT Party's level: 30
=============================================================================

NOTE: Your magic is rendered useless in here...good thing you have plenty of
      supplies!

You can save your game if you wish, head towards the giant door, it'll
open slightly but it's just enough for the party to get through. Head to
the upper floor and to the left and you will find a blue orb, hit the
switch and head back down and head to the left. After the small scenario
with the giant white orb head down, you will see yellow lights on the
floor, check them and once you've checked all four the one at the top will
reveal a projector image, then check them all again and more projector
images should appear. After all four images appear head to the next room.

When you see a silver orb, check it and it will reveal certain images,
one image shows the town of Alexandria. Another images shows the giant
white orb you saw earlier, afterwards continue on. You noticed that you
went around in a circle, head to the top left door(you must turn on the
projectors to past through the door) and it will open. Inside you will
see giant murals and faces on the giant stone wall. After the talk head
out and return to the entrance room but this time go to the right.

You will see another white orb appear(feel free to save your game at the
moogle up top), afterwards continue on to the orb platform and some snazzy
special effects take place as you arrive down to the bottom. Check the
platform up the middle but later you are attacked by a boss.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle will be tough since you can't use magic. Let your weaker
characters(Vivi, Eiko, Garnet, Freija) be the healers as they distribute
the potions and such and let your more powerful characters(Adelbert,
Zidane, Quina, Coral) attack as normal. Since your target is in the back
row, you will do only 50% damage out of your normal physical attacks.
I shouldn't have to go through the strategy here(since you should know some
general strategies if you made it this far into the game) but it's much
like an attack and heal strategy. Keep your HP above 600 and heal...it's
spinning blade attack will hit every party member for a buttload of damage
and there's not much you can do about that except have your healers use
HiPotions(the green bottle). Keeping your HP is the key to winning this
battle, yes my gosh this guy is tough...damn you Square! Yes I did mean
that. Watch for it's life shaver attack it'll knock your HP down to 1,
there is very little that you can do about that except either hope it
doesn't happen to you(99% of the time it will) or you can quickly heal
that party member back to a bell of health. It also has a confusion attack
but there's very little that you can do about it besides hope to heal it
or have one of your party members attack the confused party member to
snap him or her out of it. It will cast float on the party at times,
but I don't really see a relevance to that except for the fact that the
  confusion attack misses more often.

NOTE: This battle is near border-line impossible...be careful and don't lose
      your cool!

After the battle approach the platform and the party will pick up the
triangle. Afterwards the scene will switch over to your other party members
not chosen and King Cid. Head Cid over to the bottom right. You will play
a mini game where you will have to press "CIRCLE" to move Cid over to the
center of the room. The monster in the cage will stare back repeatedly,
if he catches you, then you will have to start over again.

When you reach the center of the room choose the 3rd option and then the
fourth option(so Cid places the statues on the balance), then choose the
second option to have Cid jump onto the top and he'll switch the hourglass
around. Later the other party escape out of their confinements. After
  that head to the left.

=============================================================================
DESERT EMPRESS Party's level: 24-30
=============================================================================

Light the candle to the left and then shut down the orb to your right.
Head towards the center and then head to the left, go upstairs and light
up three fires and head to the door above and go around and light up the
bottom left fire and ONLY the bottom left fire. Head around to the middle
and light the two fires in the middle part of the room, the statues should
disappear, now light up ALL fires and then light up the bottom fire and
check the stand above that's glowing an errie pink. Check it and select
the first choice and head to the door that just opened to the right.
In the hallway check the candle and light it up to reveal an orb, select
the first choice on the orb and you will recieve another item, then
go around to the top and light up the immediate candle near the stairs
and then go around, in the library light up the candle to the far left of
the room and then light up the candle at the top left of the room and
  enter through the door.

Outside check the orb and select the first choice and then return to the
library and light up the candle on top of the first bookshelf and it will
open to reveal a door. Head on through and light the candle on your way,
at the top light that candle as well. Head back down all the way down to
the initial room with the three statues(the angel statue in the middle and
the two gargoyle statues beside it) and there should be a new path open
to the left of the angel statue. Go around it and light the candle. RETURN
BACK to the library and light the candle on the bottom and enter through
and light the candle...you should now hear a moogle, head to the left part
of the room and then save your game.

Head past the moogle to the left and continue on. Light up two more candles
in here and check the orb. Now LEAVE ONLY THE RIGHT CANDLE LIT and continue
on, go around and light up three more candles and then check the orb for
another item. After that cool out the MIDDLE CANDLE BUT LEAVE THE LEFT AND
RIGHT CANDLES LIT...you should see a crystal blue staircase light up, go
around and take the stairs. You might want to go back and save your game
before heading on, also take this time to check your weapons and armor and
equip everything that increases your stats, but I'll let you be the judge
on the borderline armors and accessories.

Head up and light the candle but as you do you are attacked by a boss.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle isn't too tough, have your weaker characters use summons,
magics, and have them be the healers. Have your stronger characters attack
as normal. Keep your HP up though, this boss has a Fire3 attack that can
easily wipe out a party member...that's your only concern. It's Bolt2
attack is pretty weak(well not weak but weak compared to things you've
faced in the past). This boss has little HP, about 10000 I think.

After the battle light up the candle and then press the action button
as you see an "!" mark on the head of your main party member...you will be
teleported to another area. Back at the other party Zidane and the gang
arrive back...head back to Kujah and talk with him...he will ask Zidane to
look below and he will see the rest of his party members who are dead...but
the scene later shows that they arrive back in a bell of health. The
party goes to see Zidane but the door closes shut on Eiko as Scorn and Zorn
come in. Later in the room the party meets up with Zidane and they later
  notice that Eiko is captured.

Head out and go to the portal your first party came through and then go
past the previously parked airship and hit the switch and leave. You will
later see the airship flying above the party trails behind it not so far
  behind.

=============================================================================
THE SEALED CONTINENT/ESTO GAZA Party's level: 31
=============================================================================

Afterwards you can head just a few steps north and call for a chocobo if
you have a green. Either way head to the left into the structure to Esto
Gaza. Head straight inside...the man tells you of an event that happened
in the past not long ago as Eiko and a bunch of black mages along with
Scorn, Zorn, and Kujah head in deeper in the Gaza.

Head outside and feel free to save your game(although it's unneccessary)
and then head to the right and go around to...

=============================================================================
GULG VOLCANO Party's level: 32
=============================================================================

This place may not look familiar to you but I'm betting the name does,
remember you took a canoe to fight the fiend of fire Kary in this very
volcano? Well you should remember if you played Final Fantasy, the music
has been remixed but it's still brings back a lot of good tears(*sob*).

Head around and go down to the left and grab the treasure chest and then
go right. You can save your game if you like, but like I said before, it's
not neccessary...keep going to the right and pick up the treasure, as you
head back you will encounter a red dragon.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
These guys are tough, they have about 7000 HP each and have powerful
attacks. Poison works really well in this battle as it an give you a good
boost in terms of damage. It'll drain them 500 HP every so often. You
should attack as normal and you should have a healer...otherwise this
battle will be almost useless. They attack the whole group rather than
concentrate on one party member...which is pretty smart but bad for your
party because their attacks also deal a lot of damage as well.

Head back and now save your game and heal your wounds. Head back to the
rope and to the left select the second choice to flip the wheel, DO THIS
THREE TIMES, then climb down, you should've seen something at the bottom
drop. When you reach down you notice that there is nowhere to go, walk
around a couple of times and BANG! A Resident Evil type of entrance ensues
as another red dragon pops through the well wall. Read the strategy above
if you need help. After you defeat them head through the wall, you will see
Eiko down below and Scorn and Zorn performing some kind of ceremony,
afterwards the party goes after them. Scorn and Zorn later go back to
Eiko but the moogle she carried with her waves them off...later you see
the moogle changing himself into some kind of creature and Eiko will be
forced into a boss fight against Zorn and Scorn. She summons a
superpowerful, and I do mean SUPER, summon that does cataclysmic damage to
Scorn and Zorn...three words...Oh My Gosh.

It seemed like that moogle wasn't really a moogle afterall...after the
battle Zidane and Vivi find Eiko as she obtains a new and very powerful
summon. Later Kujah comes in but the party can't do much about it as he
leaves...Vivi chases after them but Scorn and Zorn wakes up.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: If Vivi was in your party she will be replaced by Eiko.

This battle will be pretty tough. Have Eiko use her Pheonix summon and also
have her become the healer(note that she doesn't have the summon on her
like she did earlier). Have the rest of your party members attack as
normal. I'm not sure the name of the attack but the mutated Scorn and Zorn
will cast some kind of super poison spell that will not only constantly
drain the targeted character's HP but also his or her MP and it will leave
them in Stop status as well. They will occassionally use Poison to drain
your HP...cure that as quickly as possible because you don't want to lose
valuable HP. Boy that summon we saw earlier would really help right now
ahemcoughSquarewhyyadothatcoughsneeze. I think this boss has about 20000
  HP...so becareful!

After the battle Vivi leaves the party...they hear a voice over the other
door and head there...they see a woman in a gown of some sort as Kind Cid
comes in and quickly recognizes her. Later you see a scenario where King
Cid reveals his true form(not the stumpy little old man or the frog),
head out and visit King Cid in the dining room. Later an ATE starts up
as you see Marcus, Baku, and Zidane's other friends outside at the
south part of Lindbulm...they talk and Adelbert comes in and they talk
  with Adelbert and blah.

Another ATE starts up, Zidane's friends are shown in the engine room as
some kind of funky(but very cool) music plays...I'm betting that's the
airship theme (^_^). After a few events Baku leads Zidane to look over
the bridge at Beatrice...he runs down to Beatrice but she's gone the moment
he arrives...it doesn't happen once either...(^_^). Later you find Zidane
meeting up with Garnet...she takes Zidane's sword and an FMV later shows
her cutting her hair with the sword...she looked better with long hair
though O_O, also the airship takes off flight from Lindbulm as the party
arrives at the airship...after the crew gives you instructions about the
airship you will select your party(notice that Garnet's portrait has
changed since she got her haircut) and your off!

=============================================================================
IPSEN'S HERITAGE Party's level: 35
=============================================================================

Take your airship to the forgotten continent(the southwest continent on
the map) and head for the castle like structure in a mountain crevice,
which was south from the Oeilvert. Inside after Coral leaves the party
temporarily you can reconfigure your party, afterwards continue on.
Keep note that the monsters in here are incredibly strong...but they do
give away a lot of expierience points though. Continue through and feel
free to save your game and head down the poll to the right.

In here head around to the back of the room and climb the ladder to the
right and then go around to the next ladder, you can climb up for some
treasures, then go down and around to the next ladder. Go to the top,
check the door and select the 2nd choice, then select the second choice
again, then select the third choice, then the fourth choice, then the
fifth choice, then the fourth choice, then the third choice, then the
sixth choice then the seventh choice. Afterwards when Zidane rests on it
it will move and Zidane will stumble through...go around and pick up the
treasure chest. Then head back and go take the middle ladder and it will
lift you up towards Coral. After he leaves look at the map CAREFULLY,
pick up the medals and study the map again...take your Ginkoba and
  memorize it!

As you head back to the party something attacks you from the map, it looks
like a mean roach(or is it Bahamut?).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This boss is tough. I advise that you stick to magic...otherwise this boss
will be a hard fight. Bio works EXTREMELY well against this boss as do
mainly all summons. With Bio it will drain over 1800 HP every round from
this guy...add that to your current attacks and you can find yourself
winning this battle pretty quickly. Your physical attacks do very little
damage against this guy...only in the double digits.

After the battle head out and then climb down and then go around all the
way back to the poll. Afterwards you can go to the moogle and save your
game and buy some items if you like from the moogle...mainly just defensive
items. Head outside, and then Zidane will head back in by himself...I
forgot to tell you this earlier but in the moogle room you can drop by on
a loose floor to the bottom to pick up the treasure chest on top of the
pink wheel that you couldn't get to earlier. Afterwards head to the bottom
of the same room and you will find Coral...after he joins your party head
  out.

=============================================================================
ELEMENTAL QUEST Party's level: 35
=============================================================================

NOTE: You must go about this in the order that I tell you! Otherwise you
can't complete the game. Also note that a message above will tell you
if you are in the right place and YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LAND TO REACH
THE LOCATION, in fact you must be in your airship to enter in one of
the four regions scattered across the world. If you are unsure where
the areas are, press triangle on your airship and in the bridge talk
to the guy at the bottom left corner and take the third option and he
      will detail the events again.

Head to the rock within a whirlpool near the northwest-middle part of
the Forgotten continent(the southwest continent) and head inside. Inside
Eiko and Garnet will head inside the water cave. Then head up north to
the ice continent(northwest continent on the world map) and then head to
Gulg Volcano and Freija and Coral will drop off. Head to the south part
of the Forgotten continent and you will see two gold/dark yellow colored
rocks that twist together like strings, Adelbert and Vivi will drop off.
Head to the northeast continent on the world map and head towards the
middle of the continent to find an earthquake between three black/white
rocks that forms an equilateral triangle and head there. Quina and Zidane
  will drop off.

=============================================================================
EARTH SHRINE Party's level: 32-35
=============================================================================

Inside Zidane and Quina discuss a few things and they head on into the
cave, head through and press circle when you see the exclamation mark.
Later you see Eiko and Garnet in the Sea Shrine, they make it past through
the falling ice blocks. Later you see Freija and Coral in the Gulg
Volcano, they go near the platform but a creature pops up...the same goes
for Zidane and Quina as well as Vivi and Adelbert.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle will be tough, you should have Quina and Zidane attack as
normal and have Quina be the healer in this party. This guy has several
powerful attacks including all 3rd level elemental spells like Fire3, Ice3,
and Bolt3...and they each do about 1300 HP of damage each. Then you have
his Quake spell to contend with...ouch. It will both party members for
massive damage, his physical attacks can hurt a lot...even knock out a
  single party member.

After the battle they place the medal in the slot, Eiko and Garnet escape
safely as does the rest of the party members. Good thing they automatically
won though...I can't imagine beating all four of them with just two party
  members not of my choosing.

=============================================================================
TERRA Party's level: 35
=============================================================================

Head to the south part of the ice continent(which is at the northwest part
of the map) and you will see a giant icicle glowing...head inside. You
will later see an FMV of a giant energy torent surrounding the icicle
as the airship gets caught in the torrent...but the party members float
to safety miraculously. Later you will see a man in a black coat...who's
Garland(apparently that timeloop still continues)...he talks with Zidane
and leaves. The other party members catch up with him...pick your party
well and then head to the right.

You will see a girl...run after her...keep following her. It appears that
there is some kind of relation with the girl and Zidane since she has the
tail that Zidane has. After you reach her continue on.

=============================================================================
BRANBAL Party's level: 37
=============================================================================

Afterwards you see an FMV of the airship(Garland's) taking off and that
airship brings back the nightmare that Garnet had in the beginning of the
game. Afterwards you will have to re-select your party IF Adelbert and
Garnet were in your group. Head off to the left and then go to the first
room on the left, the party will place Garnet in the room...afterwards
head to the upper room. Then go the right and head downstairs...talk to
the girl at the bottom of the screen.

Afterwards when you head up and after the conversation is doen you take
control of Eiko as an ATE starts up, Quina approaches the room Zidane was
in and takes a quick look at the crystal and talks with Zidane a bit.
Head outside and another ATE starts up, you'll see Vivi talking with
someone, head to the top right and another ATE starts up, you will see
Zidane at the entrance as the girl enters the green energy field, later
head around and speak with Vivi...he will then join your party as Eiko
searches for Zidane. As you head back to the entrance an ATE starts up,
you will see Zidane talking with the girl as he enters the energy field.
Talk with Coral and then head back to the crystal room and talk with
Quina and she will join your party.

Before you continue on, head to the far right room of this area and you
will see a pot shaking around, check it and a moogle will pop out and
sell some powerful weapons and armor...you can also save and use a tent
as well. Head through and talk with the girl...and as Zidane equip any
new weapons you may have bought him from the moogle.

Head up and you will find Garland...

=============================================================================
PANDEMONIUM Party's level: 38(Zidane)
=============================================================================

Keep following him and Zidane will keep talking with him...eventually
Garland will put Zidane down to his knees. You later see Kujah talking to
himself as the red eyed airship rises. Later the party reaches Zidane,
he gets up very awkwardly...he heads past the gates as his friends stay
behind thank to the gate. He will have to fight a couple of battles on
his own but luckily you bought him better weapons! Later Freija joins
the battle as does Coral...after the battle Zidane continues on as Quina
and Adelbert get knocked back by a monster. Later Zidane joins the battle
with the two...after the battle he still continues on.

In the battle when Zidane gets injured...Garnet comes in and completely
revives Zidane...have Garnet summon Bahamut constantly and it'll be the end
of that. After the battles head back to your other party members, then
talk with the moogle...you can stay around this area and fight a few
battles to fatten your wallet and earn some levels(AND I SUGGEST YOU DO
SO) and buy some new weapons and armors. Save your game and continue on
to the right. Turn on the lights by the switch at the top right on the
floor, you will have 30 seconds to get out before the lights turn off
again, don't worry if the timer runs out, nothing is going to happen.

Now watch the lights, don't go near them or you will be forced into a
battle and you will have to start over again. Move step by step and watch
the lights and head through. The rock in the cage...switch it to the right
and continue on. Head on the lift and go around, you will eventually hit
a brick wall(or an energy field), head back around to the rock and you
will find your party members. When you head back an ATE will start, your
party members will switch the rock accordingly to let your through,
when you reach the top go around to the right(you may notice that it
feels like a slide, but while it is a slide it is passable) and as you
reach to the top left, have your other party members switch it to where
  you are standing.

When you reach the top go around, then go around to the next blue pod
and reach the moogle and save your game. Head to the right and select
the first choice...you will face Kujah's white dragon.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: I'll just review all the character's strategies since I'm not sure who
      you brought along.

This battle will be tough. Have Freija Jump, have Adelbert, Quina, Coral,
and Zidane attack as normal. Have Vivi cast Bio or any other level 3
elemental spell. Have Eiko summon and be the healer, the same goes with
Garnet. It has about 30000 HP and several powerful attacks, it's wind gust
can damage the entire party for 1100 HP of damage...EACH. It's groundwave
attack is less damaging...only about 500 HP of damage to all characters.

After the battle you'll fight a tougher opponent(as if the last battle
wasn't tough enough!), who you haven't fought since 2000 years ago!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three words...oh my gosh. Is this even legal? His flare attack is powerful
enough to knock anybody out, he will occassionally cast STOP to one
character but unless you have something that can guard against that, then
I suggest you heal that status IMMEDIATELY. Use the same tactics as
above. I think this guy has about 32000 HP, infact I'm pretty confident
  about that.

LAter you see an FMV of Garland's airship sucking the energy out of him,
later Kujah is seen in the airship...later you'll fight him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The strategy is pretty much the same as before...if you have any downed
party members, bring them back to life, ESPECIALLY the healers. You will
need to do a lot of healing and bringing back to life, it'll be a charm
to have Eiko in your party since her Pheonix summon will bring back all
downed party members to 50% HP and still damage Kujah. The annoying
thing about Kujah is that he'll attack any party member that is brought
back to life...it's a cool AI but it's annoying. Kujah has about
  35000 HP btw.

After the battle Kujah can't believe he was beaten and does some fancy
magic that knocks the party out(as if they weren't knocked out before).
Kujah later goes over and kicks Garland...for not defeating the party
and because he has all this power and then finally kicks off Garland to
  his demise.

You will later see an FMV of Kukah destroying the place with his power,
quite spectacular too! Afterwards you'll need to escape, head out of
here and revive and heal your other party member...just incase you get
into a fight you can't run away from. Once you reach the eye room you'll
be teleported out of here...the other party members flee...Zidane and
Garnet reach the residents and inform them to get out quick. You will
see an FMV of the place collapsing and the airship escaping out barely.

-------------------------------- [ DISC 4 ] --------------------------------

When you load the last disc you find Vivi talking with a mage in Black
Mage village...you notice that the people that were living in Branbal
now make residence in the Black Mage village. Afterwards set up your
party. You should do some level upping, go around to the frozen
continent and gain a couple of levels, at least 7 levels.

=============================================================================
TEMPLE OF FIENDS Party's level: 45
=============================================================================

Head over to the northeast continent and head to the west part of the
contient and enter the portal...you'll see a dramatic FMV of thousands
of white dragons coming out of the portal...it looks like your days are
numbered...but Kind Cid sends a BIG ASS fleet and shoots the hell out of
the dragons in dramatic fashion. You also get help from the Red Rose
airship of Beatrice...but as you enter the portal you are forced into
  a battle.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have your magic users do summons and be the healers and have Freija jump
and the rest of your characters attack as normal. This guy has a lot of
powerful attacks that do several thousand points of damage, luckily you
leveled up like I told you to! You should always revive a downed party
member...otherwise you won't stand much of a chance of winning. There is
no sneaky strategy to beating this guy...you'll have to take him out
with brute force...Bahamut and Bio work really well against this guy.

After the battle the party teleport towards a very familiar(and very
dangerous) place...ala the last trip in the first Final Fantasy, the
Temple of Fiends. As you continue on you can head back to your ship,
at the top is a rainbow sphere, that's basically a mognet(if you will).
Continue on through, it's pretty linear. Also note that the monsters here
are as tough as they can get, only fight them if you are around save
points...this way you can earn levels without the fear of starting
  over from the beginning again.

You will eventually walk into a boss fight like a random battle on the
  long bridge...BE PREPARED.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE(Kary)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle isn't too hard...honest! It's actually easier than the last
battle...I shouldn't have to repeat myself...just attack, heal, and
strategize as normal. Kary is pretty slow at attacking, she'll usually
put up a Wall or MBarrier ot protect herself from magic attacks. I didn't
have Vivi in my party, but I think Ice3 would work REALLY well in this
  battle.

After the battle continue on, you'll see a small scenario with Eiko, Quina,
Zidane, and Garnet. Afterwards continue on...you notice that it's raining,
I suggest you prepare yourself and continue on to the eye.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE(Tiamat)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This battle will be tough. Lighting works well against this guy, maybe
not significantly but it works better than normal. Attack as normal and
  continue on.

You hear the sound of fire cackling, you know what to do(meaning prepare
yourselves). Continue onwards to the next save orb, heal your wounds and
save your game and I SUGGEST you start gaining your levels here, just move
around the save point and heal when neccessary, but this will require
some tents on your part(luckily you were smart enough to bring some along
instead of rushing throguh (^_^) ). You will eventually reach your next
  opponent.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE(Kraken)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
USE LIGHTNING3 OR RAMUH IN THIS BATTLE. Bahamut works fine as well but
he costs too much HP...he has a weakness towards lightning and hopefully
you can take advantage of that. There are three targets, knock out the
tentacles first. Kraken will heal itself with a powerful water spell at
times, there is little that you can do about that. When one of your party
members is affected with the Frozen status, bring him or her out of it with
a low level fire spell...don't use Fire3 because you might kill them (^_^).
He has this annoying attack that does several thousand points of damage
and it leaves you blind as well...cure that as quickly as possible unless
  your a magic user.

Continue onwards...when you reach the three door room, prepare yourselves.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE(Lich)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My gosh this guy is tough. Well he wouldn't be so tough without his death
spells and Stop spells. He has a very powerful quake spell...dealing over
1500 HP of damage, so cast float on your party if you have it, otherwise
heal yourself immediately afterwards. The Pheonix summon is probably the
best weapon to winning this battle...so keep Eiko alive if she is in your
  party.

Afterwards continue on, you will find yourself on an invisible platform
in space...move yourself to the green light. You will eventually reach a
cosmic distortion caught in the middle of time, head around and continue
on. Note that the random enemies here, are the souls of the four fiends,
much like the Exdeath soul in FF5, they are tough and carry a bunch of
HP but they are not as strong as before. And yes that is the crystal
  theme.

You will eventually reach a save point, a new option opens up and allows
you to return back to the beginning of the temple...but after all that
hardwork why would you want to? After you save continue onwards.

=============================================================================
LAST BATTLE STANDING Party's level: 52
=============================================================================

As you head in you'll eventually find Kujah but no doubt your not going to
  fight him just yet.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dang...if we only had a Vanish and a X-Zone spell this battle would be
over with...but we don't, and yes that is Doomgaze from FF6. He'll begin
the battle off with Meteo, which not surprisingly will deal out several
thousand points of damage to all party members. He will use the occassional
death spell but not too often, he main sticks to physical attacks, and
while they are powerful it's actually a good thing. He attacks pretty
slow and you can usually heal that character that has suffered damage.
  Attack as normal.

After the battle GO BACK OUT AND SAVE YOUR GAME! You don't want to fight
Doomgaze again if you lose against Kujah. Now go back, wipe your hands of
sweat and blow into your hands like it was cold for good luck and talk
  with Kujah.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOSS BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My gosh Squaresoft made this guy such a fruity and pansy cheater. He will
use his megaflare spell(or whatever it's called) sometimes once, twice, or
three times in a row! Not to mention this attack does several thousand
points of damage each time, he can literally wipe out your party members
in quick fashion. He will also heal himself anywhere from once to three
times in a row, each time healing himself 3300 HP...talk about being a
cheap, this guy is an official Squaresoft pushover! Attack him as normal
and keep your HP up at max...that's an order!

After the battle Kujah sends a giant energy shockwave that takes down the
entire party(the same shockwave he used in Branbal). You will now be able
to select your party, they all have one HP so eh. As you choose your
party members, your other party members will sacrifice their lives to
revive you...make all the neccessary changes in the sub-menu and prepare
  yourself!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
FINAL BATTLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy is just too much. Keep your HP up at max and attack as normal,
he has this Sephiroth Supernova type of attack that will hit your party
members with every status effect in the book. My gosh this guy is cheap,
you should know your basic strategy, whatever worked before should work
now. Watch for him to glow, if he starts glowing, don't attack, be prepared
to heal yourself or the party and to cure any negative status effects.
Trust me, this guy is a pain in the ass and he's in the way to your ending,
I lost several times to this guy(even with the infinite life code!). I'm
guessing you did prepare yourselves and wore some kind of protective gear
that protects against illregular statuses. Also it's sometimes a good thing
when one of your party members turn to stone, they are still a target in
battle but the dumb AI doesn't know it and you can never damage a stoned
party member either. If you have Eiko in your party, the Pheonix will
sometimes come back and revive the party...even when Eiko is down...keep
that in mind. Note that his defense has boosted up considerably, your
physical attacks are cut down by 25-33% so keep note of that since your
magic users will most likely deal double(sometimes single) digit damage
against him...MAGIC IS THE KEY TO WINNING THIS BATTLE! Well unless of
course you have 255 attack power. I would always recommend Freija in
this battle, while there's a rare chance that he will avoid the
"Supernova" like attack, he stands a MUCH greater chance of avoiding it
than the party members because his Jump ability is invaluable in this
battle. Vivi would be my 2nd reccommendation, but only if he is close to
Trance mode, once he is in Trance mode his X-Magic ability is basically
a warm welcome to those players who have trouble defeating Kujah.
Bio will deal good damage but it doesn't leave him poisoned since he is
pretty much immune to everything. Also there is a status when your
characters turn into a dark rown color...I'm not sure if there is a cure
potion for that status but if you do not recover that status...it will be
IMPOSSIBLE for you to bring back that party member back to life since
your Pheonix Downs will most likely miss and the Pheonix summon will miss
as will the life spell. Also your Trance meter drops down to zero and can
never be increased...it's possibly the most serious ailment aside from
the death spell or the stop spell. Adelbert's sword magic won't do very
much against this guy, have him stick to regular attacks...you can have
Coral throw a few weapons(especially the red sword) and they will deal
out considerable damage, one time I through the red sword and it did
about 6000 HP of damage! I think I covered up pretty much everything in
this final battle...good luck to you and happy gaming!

A small note from Fmns:

"You talked about a strange status in the last batlle againt Eternal
darkness.I am quite sure that this status is ZOMBIE.When a character dies
in this status,You MUST first use an item that cures ZOMBIE(Which is maybe
called Revivithy or something I dont read Japanese). Then use a phoenix down
or a reviving spell or summon phoenix."

NOTE: Try the pink or white potion, I'm not sure which one it is.

Here is additional strategy provided by Edwin Chow:

"3) You describe the final boss, Eternal Darkness(HP 50000), as an
extremely difficult enemy to defeat. Actually, he's very simple. I've came
up with 2 sure-win strategies. The normal way and the ultra cheapo way.

  Normal way:

Get everyone up to LV99.(Might as well as the enemy's don't gain levels
like in FFVIII. I'll explain later how to do so quickly.) Have auto-haste
and auto-regen abilities equiped. Get everyone's magic defense above 65.(To
prevent a one-hit-sure-kill situation when the boss casts Super Nova.)
Equip abilties such as HP 10% up, MP 10% UP etc. Use Zidane(DUH!), Garnet,
Eiko and Salamander. Have Zidane fight all the way(When equiped with the
Ultima Weapon, he'll do a constant 7000-8000++ damage and 9999 if he gets a
critical hit at LV99.) Have Garnet heal all the way.(Curera is enough.)
Eiko summon Maduin.(It will do a constant 9999 damage if Eiko's LV99.) And
last but not least, Salamander should just throw Wing Edges. (A constant
9999 damage once again when Salamander's LV 99.) Use this strategy and
you'll defeat the final boss in just 6 minutes and 5 seconds. No trance
  mode needed.

Cheapo way: Follow everything as stated above except that you should go
to Treno and auction for 6 dark matters. Make every character use the item
when fighting the last boss. It will do a constant 9999 damage if the
character using it is at LV99. Time taken to bring the Eternal Darkness
  down-2 minutes and 2 seconds!

  4) Strategies on getting a character to LV99- Once you've gotten your
airship or a Flying Chocobo go to the map outside theSecret Library and
fight Grand Dragons. But before you do so, kill YES KILL! all characters
except the one which you want to increase LVs in. In this way, all
experience will go to that specific character. I've gotten Zidane,
Salamander, Eiko and Garnet to LV99 in just an hour's time using this
  strategy."

=============================================================================
*SPOILER ALERT!* - ENDING - *SPOILER ALERT!*
=============================================================================

After the battle the party is teleported away from Dark Kujah and he
blows up in his own demise. You will later see a giant FMV explosion
as the party escapes safely, Beatrice can be seen overlooking the
explosion from her airship as does King Cid.

Later King Cid's airship arrives at the party's destination.
Just as the party is about to board the airship, Zidane hears a voice.
It's Garland! Zidane's battle is not over yet. He needs to face the
Ifra Tree once more as all evil has not been destroyed from it.
After much talking you later see an FMV of the airship departing as Zidane
stays behind, Garnet watches overhead and eventually head off into the
sunset. Later an FMV of the Ifra tree shows it collapsing as Zidane runs in
dramatic fashion for dear life...he later sees Kujah as he drops into the
roots of the tree. He heads up to Kujah and the two talk...later the tree
remains active but ironically enough Zidane covers Kujah from the roots.

You later see Vivi and the rat boy who runs into him...later a bunch of
black mages( all students of Vivi and dressed like him too.) walk in and
scare the little kid away. Freija and HER friend are shown talking to each
other in Bermucian kingdom. Beatrice is in the Queen's bedroom as she holds
up her blade and says," The battle is finally over. What am I going to do
with this Save The Queen?" She then places it on the table and walks off.

Salamander is shown at the mountain path. He sees RANI and greets her.
She asks where he's heading. He points straight and starts to walk away.
Rani shouts for him to wait up and runs to catch up with him. Quina is in
the kitchen of Alexandria sniffing over the foods and telling other
chefs to hurry up. SHE is made the head chief of Alexandria. King Cid
ADOPTS Eiko as his daughter and they both can be seen in the Lindbulm
elevator getting ready for the Prima Vista's arrival. Later Beatrice walks
out the castle and Steiner asks her where she's heading. She says she's
going to see the queen (Garnet/Dagger). Steiner asks her to wait and
  accompanies her.

Zidane's friends are in the meeting room of the Prima Vista discussing
about their play. Garnet's hair has grown and she's wearing the usual dress
looking over the tower of the castle...you can hear an audience clapping
as Baku gives a bow down at the stage. The play then starts. (This play is
actually a continuation of the one at the start of the game.)

You can see the bar girl(Ruby) hugging a man in a cloak, after a long talk
one of Zidane's friends approaches her. The cloaked man(after long talking)
later reveals himself to Garnet as Zidane(gee...who whoulda think it?).
Later an FMV shows Garnet running towards Zidane but Beatriece and Adelbert
stop her, they open the door for Garnet in a princess like manner as Garnet
rushes to find Zidane...she drops her pendant and throws off her headband
and runs towards Zidane...they hug to much of the pleasing of the crowd as
all the party members applaud during the FMV.

Later the credits roll in English and several FMV images run in the
background...and a Japanese song call Melodies of Life plays.

Thanks to Edwin "Shinji" Chow for the ending translation.
