2.) ::: PERFECT DARK STORY ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

"Since the dawn of man, our planet has been watched. The reasons for this interest d-
iffer from race to race: some merely wish to observe until humanity has evolved to a
point where they can introduce themselves withut sparking mass panic, while the moti-
ves of others are considerably less benign.

And not all humans are to the watchers above and among us. Daniel Carrington, head of
the elite Carrington Institute, suspect that rapid technological developments at data
Dyne HQ are the results of the corporation taking a dark path to first contact - a
path which apparently branches through major Government agencies...

Whether or not his suspicions are justified, it is clear that events are rushing to a
head. People are being abducted, animals being mutilated: someone amongst the stars
desperately wants something they believe us to have, and Carrington suspects that the
grand plan penetrates far deeper than these surface incidents. Using all means avail-
able, the Institute has resolved to find out exactly what's going on before it's to
late, and only recently has it been offered the heart of dataDyne operations, requ-
esting extraction from the company before alleged threats on his life are actually
carried out.

Cue freshly-qualified Agent Joanna Dark, codenamed Perfect Dark thanks to her unpre-
cedented achievements in training. Her first real assignment could hardly be of more
importance: infiltrate the dataDyne skyscaper, extract Dr. Caroll and bring him back
to the Institute undetected and unharmed. With events at dataDyne shrouded in mystery
and yet moving so fast, whatever knowledge Dr. Caroll possesses could ultimately
decide the fate of the human race."

controler configurations!

agent, hance the callsign 'Perfect Dark'.

            Name: 'VELVET' DARK
Description: Although we aren't 100% sure at present, we presume that this woman
is code-named "Velvet" Dark, and is Joanna's blonde sister. She
joins forces with Joanna in co-operative mode.

            Name: JONATHAN
             Age: 28 years 5 months
 Training Status: Complete
  Training Grade: A+
   Active Status: Undercover
Description: Our most experienced undercover agent. Highly accurate with his
chosen weapon (Magnum Revolver). Perfectly suited to undercover
missions. Less suited to out-and-out combet. Before the activation
of Joanna Dark as a CI Agent he held the honour of having the high-

runs each operation direct from a link in his office. Strange tastes
                  in clothes.

4.2 Other Good Guys/Things
--------------------------
            Name: DR. CARROL
Description: At the start of the first mission in the game you receive a distress
signal from Dr. Carrol who says there's some weired stuff going down
at the dD Corporation. When you go to find out, you meet him...or it.
Somehow he's been transformed into a pair of hovering eyes, who
will guide you through the level (weired as HELL!).

            Name: MAIAN ALIENS
Description: Part of your first mission involves having to save a good "Maian"
alien from the dataDyne headquarters. This is a "grey" alien, and
they're generally quite small. Most probably from the planet "Maia",
the evil Skedar are the Maian's main enemy.

            Name: THE PRESIDENT (AMERICAN)
Age: 50 years Currently the President of America, always tries to do what
he thinks is right. He believes he has Trent Easton under control
though he is said to be easily lead.

4.3 The Bad Guys
----------------
            Name: CASSANDRA DE VRIES
             Age: 39 years ? months
Analyst Note: The head of dataDyne Corp. Addicted to power, dislikes being anybody's
underling. Hates it when she loses the initiative. Is prepared to do
extremely unscrupulous things in order to get ahead of her competi-
tion, to whit Daniel Carrington, whom she hates. One of the object-
ives in the first mission of the game is to steal this woman's neck-
                  lace...without killing here.

            Name: dataDYNE GUARD
Description: The bog-standard dataDyne guard, clothed in blue/black suits with
the dD logo emblazoned on the front and back of their suits. They
usally wear masks over their faces.

Name: 'DUNGARES' MEN (check that out...)
Description: Dreesed in a fetching white shirt and red dungarees, these men look
more like farmers than your enemy. That said, when armed to the
teeth with high tech weaponry, make sure you get the first shot in.

Name: MR. BLONDE (gosh...what a name)
Age: Late Twenties. A striking blonde young male whose voice is dull,
annoying and cringeworthy. Very tall. Appears to be masterminding
the whole conspiracy, in which Cassandra and Trent are involved.

            Name: TRENT EASTON
Age: 46 years ? months. Head of the American National Security Agency,
and therefore close to the President. He maintains a friendship of
                  sorts with Cassandra De Vries.

Name: SKEDAR ALIENS (Skedar! Is't that the same of someone of Seseme Street?)
Description: These big, green, scary monsters are know as the 'Skedar' the evil
                  alien race.

4.4 Enemy Information
---------------------
The enemis in Perfect Dark are said to have extremely advanced Artifical Intelligence
(AI), with such abilities as being able to steal your weapons, crawl across the floor,
reloading weapons, throwing weapons down when ammo is depleted, and punching and kic-
king. They also call for backup and sometimes just run away. They can talk as well,
with some of their phrases being "eat lead", "halt", "I don't want to die!" and "Get
that woman!".

Like in GE, hitting enemis in certain part of the body will affect them in diffrent
ways. Slamming a bullet into a foe's head will send him bolting backwards with force.
When an enemy is dead thier body stays lying on the floor until there are too many
dead bodies on the level. Blood pours out of enemies when they're shot, leaving trails
of dripping blood behind if the enemy moves. Blood splatters the walls and lays in
puddles in the floor - a good reason why the game is rated "Mature" (15).

Apparently enemies and perhaps you can clock yourselves and be nearly invisible. Like
in Predator this could make for some interesting fights. You'll also be able to know
that there are plenty of civilians in the game, which'll all be fun to kill. Guards
even acted stunned when you turn the lights off. :-)

5.) ::: WEAPONRY/GADGETS ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

5.1 The Armory
--------------
Perfect Dark will have no less than 45 guns - made up of all new Perfect Dark weapons
and all of the Goldeneye weapons.

              Name: AR34
Description: A later model of the AR33 family. Just like the SR33, it is a ra-
                    pid fire machine gun.
Secondary Function: Scope - you are constantly zoomed in, yet you can still walk
                    around.

              Name: K7 Avenger
Description: Another rapid fire machine gun with zoom. It has a magazine of
25 which takes just two seconds to dispose of. Similar to GE's
                    KF7.
Secondary Function: Threat Detector - which is very nice. This tells you where there's
                    danger, guns and enemies.

              Name: Callisto NTG
Description: Not much know about this at this time.
Secondary Function: Fires high impact shells.

              Name: CMP150
Description: Fast yet quiet automatic. Magazine of 32 bullets. The gun is used
by several of dataDyne guards. It can lock onto four baddies, and
auto-target them, making sure you never waste a bullet.
Secondary Function: Lock On - locks on automatically to any four enemies in a room.

              Name: Crossbow
Description: That's right...a crossbow. It's the ultimate weapon of stealth,
and is automatically set with sedating arrows (neato!).
Secondary Function: Instant Kill - lethal arrows that kill on contact.

              Name: Cyclone
Description: It's an automatic with a magazine of 50 and rapid fire. Used by
                    the Presidential Guards.
Secondary Function: Discharge Magazine - it will shoot off the whole magazine with one
pull of the trigger (one push and you can't stop it).

              Name: dataDyne dy357 (Magnum)
Description: Looks like the Cougar Magnum from GE, but it has a more rapid
fire. It only hold 6 bullets though.
Secondary Function: Pistol Whip - like the Falcon 2, it can be used to, as Joe puts it,
'bosh' enemies at close range (Joe :: man that works for pdark.com).

              Name: Devastator
Description: It's a grenade launcher of some sort. It fires "orbs" which
basically look like round balls which kind of plop out of the gun.
Secondary Function: Sticky Grenade - sticks to walls. Falls down and explodes after
                    about 5 seconds.

              Name: Dragon
Description: It's an automatic, and it has a big daddy, the Super Dragon.
Holdes 30 bullets, with a fire rate of about 10 bullets per second.
Secondary Function: Turns into a still-gun-form proximity mine that blows up enimies
nicely. Has the potentioal to be a great multiplayer weapon
                    because of this.

              Name: Tranquiliser
Description: What was previously called the 'Drug Gun'. THe primary function
doesn't kill, but it does calm down/make unconscious to your
enemy by shooting a drugged projectile at them.
Secondary Function: Instant Kill - does not shhot a projectile, so you have to be
right next to your foe to inject this into them. However, it will
                    kill them instantly, odviously.

              Name: Falcon 2
Description: Joanna's parallel of Bond's Walther PPK (PP7), advanced of course.
Uses a laser-sight for efficient targetting. Can be fitted in some
mission with a scope and/or a silencer. Magazines hold 8 bullets.
There are also 2 special versions of the gun, with a (+) indicating
the gun is being silenced, (s) indicating a scope on top of the
                    gun, giving a zoom capability.
Secondary Function: Use the gun as a hand-held 'boshing' weapon, like the Sniper Rifile
                    in Goldeneye.

              Name: FarSight XR20
Description: Ever seen the movie Eraser? Well this gun can see through walls
(using infra-red to see enemies' heat given off by there body),
lock on and then shoot through walls. It's a poor weapon if you
don't know how to use it, but hold down R then the left C button
and it'll scan for it's prey (pun intended) and lock onto them.
                    Excellent!
Secondary Function: Locks onto enemies and follows them around. *not much of a second
                    function*

              Name: Golden Magnum
Description: Say goodbye to the Golden Gun, here comes the more stylish Golden
Magnum - with a stylish Tiger skin handel. ROWR!
Secondary Function: None.

              Name: Grenade
Description: Fundmentally the same as in GE, the grenades does, yes blows thi-
ngs up. Coming in a fashionable grey cylinder, the grenade is ru-
moured to be able to carry more things than explosives, so I'm
assiming it can be used as a gas or smoke bomb. I hope I'm right.
Secondary Function: Pinball Mine - bounces around, comes to a halt and then acts like
                    the Proximity mine.

              Name: Combat Knife
Description: Like the hunting knife in Goldeneye, the primary function of the
combat knife is to hack 'n' slcash.
Secondary Function: Poison-Tipped Knife - Word is that Joanna literally tosses up the
                    knife then throws it.

              Name: LapTop Gun
Description: One mean automatic with zoom capabilites, the magazine holds 50
bullets wich takes 4 seconds to shoot off. Disguised as a Lap Top
                    obviously.
Secondary Function: A great idea - just aim the gun, throw it on the wall or ground
and it becomes a sentry tower, like the drone guns in Goldeneye
(although on your side this time). It can be picked up and moved
                    by Joanna.

              Name: Laser
Description: Remember bond's watch laser in Goldeneye? Well it's just like that,
but it's mounted on Joanna's left arm.
Secondary Function: None.

Name: N-Bomb (Neurolizer Bomb, I guess)
Description: Apparently 'assaults the neural activitives of opponents, incapa-
citationg them so they can no longer use/hold their weapons'.
Secondary Function: N/A

              Name: MagSec 4
Descritption: Standard pistol. The MagSec holds eight bullets per round. Named
the "Lee's Gun" at E3 after Rare's Lee Shunemna (probably for
legal reasons), at ECTS the gun could only be held in a sideways
                    fashion. Strange.
Secondary Function: Three-Shot Burst - fires 3 shots in rapid succession.

              Name: Mines (Timed)
Description: All three mines make a comeback in Perfect Dark. This one, the
timed mine, detonates automatically 5 seconds after it has been
                    thrown.
Secondary Function: None.

              Name: Mines (Proximity)
Description: Another Flavorful mine - the proximity. Get too close and it will
                    explode.
Secondary Function: None.

              Name: Mines (Remote)
Description: Like the Remote Mine of Goldeneye. Primary functiopns simply
                    throws out the "Remote Explosive".
Secondary Function: Detonates the mine with a tap of the 'B' button.

              Name: Mauler
Description: This speedy and powerful pistol has a definite "alien" look to it,
and so was originally coined the phrase "alien gun" by many. The
Mauler hold 20 bullets in one magazine.
Secondary Function: Charded up shot - will charge up if you hold the Z button, until
it goes red, and then fires a big fet mega shot, and there dead.
                    Ah, poetry.

              Name: Phoenix
Description: This is the Maian pistol. It has a very weird morphing or liquid-
                    metal reload animation.
Secondary Function: Fires bullets that explode on impact.

              Name: Psychosis Gun
Description: Turns enemis into good guys, so they fight for you.
Note: This is not a multiplayer weapon - it is ONLY USED IN ONE MISSION,
a special ops level where you play as Elvis (watch the hair, man)
                    the alien, rather than Joanna.
Secondary Function: None.

              Name: RC-P120
Description: A later model of GE's RC-P90 but up against PD's armory it isn't
such an undisputed king of weapons.
Secondary Function: Cloak - it has a built-in cloaking device which makes you invisa-
ble. Excellent for multiplayer - but you cannot fire when cloaked.

              Name: Reaper
Description: Automatic with 300 rounds of bullets and a fire rate of around 28
bullets a second. It's held at the bottom of the screen and is
hugely inaccurate, scattering bullets all over the place (can you
say, Klob). It was ment for stonger life forms than humans...
Secondary Function: Grinder - kind of like the chainsaw that you will find in most
FPS (First Person Shooter) games. The fans on the end of the wea-
pon rotate and somehow cause massive damage to anyone hit by them.
But beware, this ia a very close range weapon.

              Name: Rocket Launcher
Description: It says "Caution" on the side. It launches rackets...duh!
Secondary Function: Fires "lock-on" missiles.

              Name: Shotgun
Description: Every good first person shooter needs a good shotgun. Cocks auto-
matically after every shot. Has a very slow reload - Joanna puts
                    in eash shell seperately.
Secondary Function: Fire two shots at the same time, with one pull of the trigger.

              Name: Slayer
Description: A roket laucher whose rackets arrange themselves into jets. It is
held over the left shoulder and has to reload (about 2 seconds)
                    after every shot.
Secondary Function: Secondary function is a first-person perspecive controlled rocket
(like in Unreal Tournament and Metal Gear Solid) that is pure co-
olness. You see the rockets-eye-view through a yellow fish-eye lens.

              Name: Sniper Rifle
Description: A new-look sniper rifle, that is sure to provide hours of stealthy
                    goodness.
Secondary Function: Crouch - you crawl along the ground like the enemy snipers, making
                    you a very hard target.

              Name: Super Dragon
Description: Nice name?!? It's a powerful automatic holding 30 bullets to a
round. Looks just the same as the Dragon.
Secondary Function: The gun turns on its side and becomes a long range grenade launcher.

              Name: Combat Boost
       Description: N/A
Secondary Function: N/A

5.2 The Gadgets
---------------

              Name: Tracking Bugs and Data-Thieves
       Description: N/A

              Name: ECM (Electronic-Counter-Measure) Mines
Description: Shooting up surveillance cameras isn't always wise, so on levels
Joanna will have ECM Mines that jam them. For example on the first
level she has five, and has to disable the cameras.

Name: Night Vision Goggles and Infa-Red Vision Goggles
Description: If you shoot lights out then putting on the night-vision goggles
whould be a good idea and everything is tinged with the familar
green. If you have them on when the lights are on however the
screen will be an unhelpful white. An example of when these are
used is when in the dataDyne complex after you've switched all of
the level's lights out. Infa-Red vision by the FarSight rifle.
Its main use through will be for seeking enemies who are cloaked.

              Name: Sheild
Description: There was body armor in Goldeneye but in Perfect Dark there will
be a shield that'll have the same general purpose. It appears to
be ayellow translucent block surrounding the player.

              Name: Eye Spy
Description: The ultimate in miniature surveillance will be flying camera called
the Eye Spy. It is a tiny camera pilotted by Joanna, that is used
to infiltrate the enemy's base and find out anything you want to
know. Enemies will notice (and destroy) it if it comes into their
                    line-of-sight.

              Name: Dr. Carrol
Description: This last 'gadget' is just slightly quirky. Apparently it is Dr.
Carrol as a floating computer with eyes...that helps you with
                    your mission objectives.

7.2 Mission 1
=============

7.3 dataDyne Central - Defection
--------------------------------
Objectives - 1. Disable the Internal Security Hub (S,P)
           - 2. Obtain the Keycode Necklace (S,P)
           - 3. Download Project Files (P)
           - 4. Disable the External Comms Hub (S,P)
           - 5. Gain Entrance to the Laboratory (A,S,P)

After you view the intro to the game you will be standing on a helipad, this is where
your first mission starts. Ok now go down the stares and there should be a guard some-
where down their, shoot him. Now watch out because their are two cameras (the location
of the cameras will vary from Special and Perfect difficulty levels; there are none on
Agent) on two walls (the walls that have the light shooting out of them), shoot the
camras just like in Goldeneye. As you go through the door up their their should be two
guards on the stares, shoot them (duh!). Now when the go down the staries you will see
a BRIGHT RED light on the wall and the Internal Security Hub is right under that light.
Now take out your ECM Mine and place it on the Internal Security Hub, now Objective 1
is completed. Now go through the door and go down the circling stares, their may be a
guard patrolling the stares, so you need to shoot him. Keep going till you see a door.
Open the door and watch out because their are some more guards patrolling this section.
Now you should notice the door in between (if the door is locked, go over to the desk
and press the buzzer on the table to buzz your self in) the two elevators, that door
leads to Cassandra's office. Go through that door and PUNCH her one time (blue dress),
it should say that you got the neckles from her (if you wait to long she will call
her guards on you).

Now you need to get in one of the elevators and go down one floor, to the 22nd floor.
In this floor you will notice that some of the walls are diffrent than the others
(if you don't see any diffrent walls, there the walls with painting like things on them)
you can open some of these doors. Try to open all the doors that you see like this,
watch out for some bad guys though. Ok after you have cleared out all the guards on
this floor keep walking till you stumble on to a Telephone conversation (perfect agent).
You really don't need to worry about what the people are saying, just wait till the guy
that is having the convertation to come out of the room, then grab him. Take the guy
up to the 23rd floor, where you take him to a computer, where he will log you into the
computer. After he has loged you in clank him on the head with your gun (or fist) after
he says he's in, if you don't he will delet all the files on the computer. Now use your
Data Uplink to download the Project Files. Next, Disable the External Comms Hub.

Search for a ornately decorated wall panel in the 1st floor lobby, once you find it you
will need to crouch down and place your ECM Mine on the hub. Now you need to Gain Entrance
to the Laboratory. So you are still in the 1st floor lobby, now walk around to the stares
look up the satres then turn right, you should see a door (if you don't then turn the
other way). Now go over to the door and open it, now you should be in a small room with
a desk in it, and a door. Go through the door and get ready to shoot some guards (yelling
die BASTERDS in the process) once you have killed all of the guards walk a little farther
and their you will see an elevator. Now open the elevator and you are done with dataDyne
Central: Defection.

8.1 Simulants a.k.a 'Bots'
==========================

8.2 Simulant Types
------------------
There are between 20-30 types of Simulants in Perfect Dark, but here is the ones that
we know so far.

Normal Sim :: Probably average ability and everything else.

Coward Sim :: Probly runs away from all other players and cowers in corners, farsight
probably a good weapon to use against this simulant.

Vandetta Sim :: Picks a random terget and attacks that player till he is died.

Revenge Sim :: Hunts down whoever attacks him first.

Cheetah Sim :: Fast moveing simulant.

Turtle Sim :: Slow moving simulant that is clever, and likes to hide in corners under
the protection of shields. Maby you can get him with the Farsight. :-)

Pacifist Sim :: Tries to get all the guns in a leval so you can't use them.

Shield Sim :: Uses the shield to full use.

Rocket Sim :: Uses rockets as their primary weapon.

Kamikaze Sim :: Will go into the action guns a blazen and don't care if they die.
Most likely will try to blow you and themselves up.

Fist Sim :: simulants that only use their fists to fight you.

Predator Sim :: An aggressive sim that uses shield and cloaking devices.

Justic Sim :: A sim of high-ethics that will attack whoever is winning.

Not all the simulants are available when you buy the game. With new variations
being unlocked as you proceed through the game. I presume that the Normal Sim
is immadiatly available, but most other sims will have to be earned. You can
also set one of six different skill levels for the sims: EASY,NORMAL,HARD,
PERFECT.

When a simulant is on your team, you can control him/her, to access the bot control
menu, hold the A button, then press Z twice. A menu just like the weapon select menu
shows up and you will pick the command you want. To go to the next bot, simply press
Z again. Although most likely helpful, it is not essential to give a simulant commands,
but they will work well without them.

8.3 Different Commands
----------------------
FOLLOW: the simulant tags along behind you. If you want to guild him somewhere to
defend, just have him/her follow you there, and use defend.
DEFEND: use this to tell a bot to stand guard at an important place. They will defend
the place with their life, but if attacked they will follow their attackers
        until someone is dead.
ATTACK: you can just send them out into battle, but additionally you can assign them
targets to go after in particular.
PROTECT: Will guard you with their life. They (any bot that gets this command) will
follow you around and do everything they can to keep you alive.
HOLD: Tells a bot not to move. Used best as a decoy.

8.4 Combat Challenge

===========
8.5 Options
===========

Goldeneye alowed you to select such options as weapon group, health etc., Perfect Dark
presents you with all the old options, in addition to a wider range of newbies, enab-
ling you to play the perfect battle. If there's a certain option which you play with
often, then this can even saved and loaded back up next time you play.

Game Modes: There will be a large number of different gaming modes available including
            the following:

MODE: DESCRIPTION:

Free For All:
Combat Aclassic 'normal' deathmatch.
Pop a Cap One of the players is made the target for everyone else.
Hold the Briefcase Similar to Goldeneye's flag tag, but with a briefcase.

Team-based:
King of the Hill Your team must secure a certain point in the level.
Capture the Flag Famous team game in which you must capture the other
team's flag and return it to your base.
Touch that Box There are boxes, and you've got to touch them to make
                             them your team's color.
Hacker Central Your team must find data uplink and take it to hack into
                             the other team's computer.

Weapons Selection: Here you can choose to play with either a certina group of weapons,
or custom select five items of your choice. The Shield is counted
as one of the weapons, so it's possible to turn it off. Selecting
no weapon in a slot means you can play with less than five weapons,
and selecting no weaponry brings about a fist-fight. As you progr-
ess through the game you can even unlock the old Goldeneye weapons
                   to use.

Game Limits: You can choose exactly how long a match will last, either by time
or by time or by score (kills). Time can be increased in one
minute intervals up to around 22 minutes, and kills from one to 45.
You'll also be able to choose who select the level options i.e. the
                   loser picks the level.

Teams: This option allows you to choose who goes on what team, how many
simulants will be playin;g, and probably which breeds of simulants
                   they are.

Paintball Mode: Putting the game onto paintball mode will, effectively, be the
'no blood' select for multiplayer. The characters, blood will be
                   nothing but tons of colors.

Character: You can customise your character here, unfortunately not using your
own face any more though (face-mapping has been cancelled). Still,
it is possible to select which body goes with which head, whether
or not you have a handicap, and what you want to call yourself.

All-important options: Other options, which can be toggled on/off, include one-shot
-kills (equivalent of license to kill in Goldeneye), radar,
explodable walls, no doors and floodlights. Most levels are
usually quite dark, where shotting actually lights them up, so
the floodlights enables you to see further. No doors is a use-
ful option to stop people shuting a door behind them, prevent-
ing anyone else entring a room. Not much know about the explo-
dable walls yet, although it is likely that only certain wall
                       segments can be blown up.

Screen Split: Choose whether to play with a vertical or horizontal split in two
player mode. The vertical split does look very smart, but I will
stick with the old Goldeneye split. :)

(Note: You can buy special things to put on your TV that make it to where people can't
look on your screen and see where you are, I will make a little guild about this.)

8.6 Statistics
==============

Battle Statistics: As in Goldeneye, on completion of each multiplayer battle you're
resented with such information as your position, your skill level,
your weapon of choice, and awards won.

Permanent Statistics: Using the memory pak, Perfect Dark enables you to save your
personal combat simulation statistics so that you can keep track
of your name and customised details, the number of hours you've
spent playing, the number of games you've played/won/lost, the
amount of damage inflicted/dealt, your skill rating (one of 21
different levels, from Beginner to Perfect) and even the dist-
ance over which your character has walked! Not only that, but
there are four awards to be won as well. Each award shows up as
a colored star on you personal-bio: green for Accuracy; yellow
for Head-Shots; red for Killmaster; and blue for Survivor. To
be presented with one of these awardes takes some skill, and
getting all four in one match is the ultimate challenge. On your
bio, the quantity of each award is recorded.

8.7 The Arenas
==============

Arena Description/comments
---------------------------------------

Temple The temple makes a reappearance in Perfect Dark with some slight
alterations to it. Seeing as you can fall through gaps, it will be
no surprise to you that the central cavity can be used to reach
the lower level. However, there are other perhaps more important
changes too. In the large room on the lower level, next to the
alley with the body armour in it in Goldeneye, you will now find
several pillars not too dissimilar to those in the Egytian level in
                   Goldeneye.

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

Complex The favorite Goldeneye multiplayer level makes a return, again with
some changes. The metal screens behind which you could hide in
Goldeneye hve disappeared completely, meaning that if you do hide
in the small gaps then other players can easily see you. Also, be-
low the winding slope upwards where before it was possible only to
get access to by coming from one of the two rooms with wents, has
now become accessible from the other side as well - i.e. the grat-
ing in front has been added over what in Goldeneye, was nothingness.
Colors are also slightly different, this time Rare have chosen a
wellowy-brown. Rails have also been added all over the place, mak-
eing it only possible to fall off edges in certain places (e.g.
only from one side of the big hole).

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

Falicity The toilet level makes a return, this time with a plush PD make-
over. Presumably locked doors will be open, to make the level larger
to cater for the simulants. This was one of the best levels in
Goldeneye and it chould prove to be the one of the best in PD as
                   well.

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

Pipes There's a good reason why Pipes is so called - it's got a floor full
of pipes, surprisingly. The level comprises of two levels, pipes
and nothingness being the bottom level, with a ladder up from the
pipes to a 'normal' floored level.

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

Ravine There are several places in the ravine in which you can fall from
one level to another but also fall to your death. There's a moving
platform on the level which acts in the same way to a lift, and also
                   several walkways and passages.

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

Skedar There's snow throughout this level, as well as big black "thingys"
and other bits and bobs. (more info coming soon...)

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

G5 Building (coming soon...)

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

Grid The Grid ia a part of the G5 Building that Joanna never saw in the
Solo Missions. The building's sparse, rectangular design combines
                   graniose foyers with cramped hallways.

[Add a map of the level, and list good hiding spots to ambush people]

Villa The sun-bleached architecture of the Villa may evoke a serene beach
atmosphere, but it tends to lose its luster when you score the
walls with bullet holes. THis level is very big and has plenty of
                   vantage pionts.

A very big thanks goes out to Dingo Jellybean, he told me to write this FAQ for ya!
He is also why I started writing FAQs! :)

-+- DJellyean - For lifting me up when I felt like, I didn't want to type on my FAQ
anymore. I really appreciate that very much. :) Also thanks for the
nice Perfect Dark ASCII logo at the end of this FAQ. Also I thank
Dingo, for leting we use his copyright notice. All stuff from Dingo
                used with permission. <bellybutton21@hotmail.com>
-+- PDark.com - For letting me use lots of important info from there site, before the
game was even out. The reason I choose them is because they are a great
group of guys that run a very good site, pluse they played Perfect Dark
at ECTS a while back (you can go to their site and see movies they made
while they were at ECTS) in Europe (i think).
-+- TripleRaid - For typing this wonderful FAQ for a very Perfect game. :-)
-+- CJayC - For running a great gaming site!
-+- CJC's Wife - For puting up with his video game adiction! But if it wasn't for
that adiction, I whould not be writing this right now (something
                 to think about.)
-+- Gamesages - For the great, helpful cheats list that they already have avalible.

Well my first real FAQ/Walkthrough! Man it was not as hard as I though it would be.
It was actually pretty fun :) writing this and knowing that people like you will read
it, and get help from it, just makes it all worthwhile. ;) You are going to see more
FAQ just like this one from me on other games that I decide to write an FAQ for.

Well I am finally done with my first (real/complete) FAQ/Walktrough! It chould not have
been for a better game. Hope you find this FAQ helpful in lots or some ways. :)
