Welcome to this Sonic & Knuckles Collection Guide which is created 
specially for this PC game and I hope you find this guide helpful. 
Please take note that I'm writing for Sonic 3 & Knuckles only since the 
other two games are the combination of it and it's easier to write like 
that.

Sonic & Knuckles Collection is a collection of Sonic's Genesis games 
which are 'collected' together into one CD. You'll have fun playing it 
because you don't even need the cartridges to play!

Pop in the CD and you'll be amazed how Sonic 3 & Knuckles can run and 
how hard is the game too so that's what this Guide is created for!

This CD, designed from SEGA itself for PC, has the games Sonic the 
Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles AND Sonic 3 & Knuckles which is the result 
of the Lock-On Technology for Genesis.

More and more things are introduced and you'll have endless of fun 
playing it.

Read this section carefully and refer back to this section whenever you 
have troubles in certain parts.

[2.1] Item Boxes and Things
-------------------------------------

More and more things for you to get:

Item box with stars - Invincibility for a short time.

Item box with Sonic or Tails' picture - Extra life

Item box with ring - Ten rings

Item box with bubble - It's a shield and you can bounce it by pressing 
the A button. It can make you breathe in water so you need not worry 
about trying to get out of water quickly.

Item box with fire - Fire shield and can protect you from fire. Will 
disappear if get into water.

Item box with electric - Best shield since it can attracts rings to 
Sonic. Will dissapear if get into water (it's logic).

Item box with shoe - Speed up character's speed for a short while.

Item box with Robotnik's picture - Makes you get hit by something, be 
sure NOT TO HIT THIS or you'll lose your rings.

Lamppost (red colour with star) - Save point, you'll return here when 
your character die. If you have 50 rings and above, go past this 
lamppost and a red, circular thing will appear. Jump into it to enter 
the bonus stage to take item boxes.

Red Bumper - Makes you jump higher.

Yellow Bumper - Makes you jump lower.

Big Ring - Different from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It will let you enter 
the Special Stage to collect the Chaos Emeralds.

Super Ring - Only available in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, after getting all the 
Chaos Emeralds, this Super Ring can only be obtained in Sonic & Knuckles 
area. For more information, see below.

[2.2] Description of Bonus Stage
-------------------------------------

When you have 50 rings, go past the star lamppost and stars will appear. 
Jump into it to enter the Bonus Stage.

Basically, it's like a gumball machine. Use the yellow bumpers and jump 
to turn the lever to make the gumballs fall down. At the bottom will be 
red bumpers to let you jump up. You'll lose when you go to the bottom.

Grey Gumball with ring in middle - 10 rings.

Red Gumball - Fire Shield.

Blue Gumball - Bubble Shield.

Electric Gumball - Electric Shield.

Pink Gumball with the word 1-Up - You guess it right, Extra Life!

Green Gumball with the word Rep - When the bumpers vanish, use this 
gumball to make it appear again.

Black Gumball - You can jump on it.

Transparent Gumball - Nothing.

[2.3] Description of Bonus Stage 2
-------------------------------------

Looks like Casino Night Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It's a jackpot 
machine where you must put yourself in the middle to turn the jackpot. 
Depends what slots you get, you'll get certain amount of rings.

Getting all 'Jackpots' gives you 100 rings while getting all 'Robotniks' 
or 2 Robotniks and one Jackpot will delete 100 rings or less from your 
total.

Also, if you get in this order, 'Sonic, Jackpot, Jackpot' (or 
eitherwise), you will get 120 rings! This means that a Sonic is worth 20 
rings more than triple 'Jackpots' together. Thanks to c4frdm@aol.com for 
the info.

If you have more than 50 rings, whether gotten outside from the bonus 
stage or inside the bonus stage itself, try and grab one ring that 
surrounds the jackpot machine. You'll gain an extra continue. 

There will be 'R' button here to reverse the area. Once you get into the 
'Goal' area, you'll exit this bonus stage. When you fall to the square 
thing, it will change colour three times and once it turns into 'Goal', 
make sure you don't fall into it.

[2.4] Description of Bonus Stage 3
-------------------------------------

You're in an electric-ball place. Fall down at the ball and your 
character will turn. When your character is on the ball, turn left or 
right to turn the character at the position you want. 

Jump as high as you can at the pinball-flipper, then flip the character 
to the top. There will be rings and gumballs here, too. Once you reach 
the top, you will exit the area or when you fall down to the lining 
thing.

[2.5] Something to Beware and Know
-------------------------------------

I've written this in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3 Guide but since they're 
almost similar, I put this down. 

Try to take caution everytime and every moment. When you touch or get 
hit by an enemy, it will cause your rings to come out. So, try and get 
at least one ring for safety.

If you get more than 100 rings, you will automatically get an extra 
life. If you succeed in all special stages, you have the seven Chaos 
Emerald and therefore, you can become Super characters (except Tails). 
To become Super Sonic, get at least 50 rings and jump twice.

Once you get all of the Chaos Emeralds, proceed to Sonic & Knuckles 
area. There, you must get all seven Super Emerals and you can become 
Hyper and Super characters.

In the water, try not to go in too long or your character will die. 
There will be a group of bubbles and Sonic must grab the biggest bubble 
to breathe in.

Most importantly, there will be a ten minute limit where you must get to 
the end quickly or it will be a 'Time Over' so don't waste your time too 
much.

[2.6] Controls
-------------------------------------

The controls are quite easy and simple. A button to jump and hold down 
the down button and press the A button to spin. Here's the specific 
moves for each characters.

Sonic 
-----

Jump - A button

Slash Jump - Press the A button twice.

Spin Dash - Hold the down button, then, press A to spin. Release both 
buttons to spin towards a direction or enemy.

Fire Dash - You must get the Fire Shield first. Then, press A button 
twice to do it.

Double Electric Jump - You must get the Electric Shield first. Then, 
press A button twice to double jump a bit.

Bubble Bounce - You must get the Bubble Shield first. Then, press the A 
button twice to bounce.

Tails 
-----

Jump - A button

Fly - Press A button twice to fly. To fly higher, press A button 
repeatedly.

Spin Dash - Hold the down button, then, press A to spin. Release both 
buttons to spin towards a direction or enemy.

Swim - In the water, press A two times to swim. This is one of the 
special ability that I like about Tails.

Knuckles 
-----

Jump - A button

Spin Dash - Hold the down button, then, press A to spin. Release both 
buttons to spin towards a direction or enemy.

Climb - Jump towards a wall (certain walls can't be climbed) and 
Knuckles will automatically hang onto the wall. While on the wall, move 
the direction keys to move on the wall. To jump off the wall, press the 
A button.

Glide - Press the A button twice and Knuckles will glide lower.

Breaking Walls - This is an automatic move. Knuckles will automatically 
destroy walls that he can destroy with his knuckles.

Super Sonic 
-----

Super Sonic is twice faster than the normal Sonic and can jump higher 
and totally invisble. Of course, getting crushed or landing into endless 
pits will cause Super Sonic to die. 

To maintain this form, you must have rings once you become Super Sonic 
since rings will be drained out. Also, you must get 7 Chaos Emeralds to 
become Super Sonic. 

Once you get 50 rings, double jump to transform into the gold Super 
Sonic! Of course, his looks will be different and do different actions.

Jump - A button

Spin Dash - Hold the down button, then, press A to spin. Release both 
buttons to spin towards a direction or enemy.

Super Knuckles
-----

Super Knuckles can be obtained by using Knuckles. You must get the seven 
Chaos Emeralds in order to transform into Super Knuckles. Double jump 
with 50 rings to change. This is similar like Super Sonic where Super 
Knuckles is much faster.

Jump - A button

Climb - Jump towards a wall (certain walls can't be climbed) and 
Knuckles will automatically hang onto the wall. While on the wall, move 
the direction keys to move on the wall. To jump off the wall, press the 
A button.

Glide - Press the A button twice and Super Knuckles will glide lower.

Breaking Walls - This is an automatic move. Super Knuckles will 
automatically destroy walls that he can destroy with his knuckles.

Hyper Sonic
-----

To transform into the ultimate Hyper Sonic, you must get 7 Chaos 
Emeralds AND 7 Super Emeralds. Hyper Sonic will have one cool additional 
move. This character can only be obtained in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Hyper Sonic will have colours that will change everytime so it's hard to 
say what colour is he. Hyper Sonic is MUCH faster than Super Sonic. Jump 
twice with 50 rings to become Hyper Sonic.

Jump - A button

Spin Dash - Hold the down button, then, press A to spin. Release both 
buttons to spin towards a direction or enemy.

Homing Attack - Almost similar to the Sonic Adventure move but Hyper 
Sonic can't attack item boxes. Double jump and Hyper Sonic will move 
forward and attack enemies in front with a blinding flash. Really cool!

Super Tails
-----

Becoming Super Tails will need you to get 7 Chaos Emeralds and 7 Super 
Emeralds. Strange why SEGA will make like this. This character can only 
be obtained in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Double jump with 50 rings to become Super Tails. He will be a bit gold 
and gold Flickies will come around you.

Jump - A button

Fly - Press A button twice to fly. To fly higher, press A button 
repeatedly.

Spin Dash - Hold the down button, then, press A to spin. Release both 
buttons to spin towards a direction or enemy.

Swim - In the water, press A two times in the water and Tails will swim. 

Flicky Attack - This is an automatic move. When you become Super Tails, 
this cute birds will attack the nearest enemy automatically. Even cool!

Hyper Knuckles
-----

Same rule as above. Get all the Chaos and Super Emeralds. Then, get 50 
rings and double jump to become Hyper Knuckles! This character can only 
be obtained in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Knuckles will have different colour like Hyper Sonic and just a bit 
change to his climb move.

Jump - A button

Spin Dash - Hold the down button, then, press A to spin. Release both 
buttons to spin towards a direction or enemy.

Climb - Jump towards a wall (certain walls can't be climbed) and 
Knuckles will automatically hang onto the wall. While on the wall, move 
the direction keys to move on the wall. To jump off the wall, press the 
A button. When Hyper Knuckles jump onto a wall, some kind of earthquake 
will shock the place and destroy nearby enemies.

Glide - Press the A button twice and Knuckles will glide lower.

Breaking Walls - This is an automatic move. Knuckles will automatically 
destroy walls that he can destroy with his knuckles.

<3> Sonic's Adventure <3>
------------------------------------------------------------------------

This section will help you in Sonic 3 & Knuckles with the character 
Sonic. 

-------------------------------------
[3.1] Angel Island Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
A basic stage where you can learn everything here for the future. Robots 
everywhere for you to hit and hidden item boxes too. There will be a Big 
Ring for you to go to enter the Special Stage.

In the beginning, after the swings, land down and spin off to the left 
to destroy some rocks. There will be the ring which you can enter the 
Special Stage.

Also, there will be a robot that appears in the middle of the game and 
burns the whole level. NOTE: You can actually hit him several times and 
it will be destroyed without burning the whole level! Try it, ask your 
friend to control Tails and both of you co-operate and hit that robot!

Mini-Boss - Fire Shooter - 6 Hits
-----
That robot will appear at the end of the stage. It will have fire 
underneath him so hit the top of him 5 times and you will win. This 
should be easy.

Act 2 -
Almost the same as Act 1 except that there are more traps here with some 
grey buttons. Also, at the end, when a green airplane shoots fire-bombs 
at you, press right until it was gone to avoid being shot.

At the end, Robotnik will appear in the background so run to the right 
and chase him.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Fire Shooter - 8 Hits
-----
In the beginning, Dr. Robotnik will appear on the left so take that 
chance and hit him two times but be sure not to stand on the yellow 
bridge because Robotnik will burn it up.

If you happen to stand on it, Sonic will fall and die. Then, continue 
hitting him 6 more times while avoiding his fireballs. If you have a 
fire shield, it will be much easier since you will not get hit by the 
fire.

After that, Dr. Robotnik's invention will go 'KABOOM!' and he will 
escape. Hit the flying capsule and the animals will escape.

Knuckles will appear after that and press the grey button to make Sonic 
fall. You can try and jump to the left IMMEDIATELY after the yellow 
bridge vanished. Even when you can jump on the ground, there's nothing 
to do there really.

-------------------------------------
[3.2] Hydrocity Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
When Sonic fall, press the left button to land on a ledge. Ask Tails to 
carry Sonic to the high platform on the right side. A hand will appear 
and make Sonic run quickly.

Here, it's much easier not to go INSIDE the water, that's why I ask you 
to jump to the left. You can go inside the water but just make sure not 
to stay there to long and find some bubbles to make Sonic breathe.

If you're quickly enough, you can spin right ON TOP of the water without 
entering it. If you have an electricity shield, it won't disappear if 
only you spin on top of the water.

There's more enemies and traps here, including the annoying piranha-like 
robot in the water which can lower down your rings. At the end, fight a 
water-robot.

Mini-Boss - Water Spinner - 6 Hits
-----

At the beginning of the battle, spin to the right because he will come 
from the left and land in the middle. Then, spin to the left and land 
back again in the middle.

When it is about to spin and create a water-tornado, quickly hit him 5 
times, even better, ask your friend to control Tails and hit him.

If you cannot hit him 5 times, just proceed with the above process and 
you should win.

Act 2 -
After that, Sonic will be going underneath and the wall will begin to 
move to crush Sonic.

Try and spin quickly and move in the right direction. Don't pay 
attention on the rings, lives are more important.

After that, you must spin on top of the rotating platform, the continue 
your way. There are spikes here and lots of enemies too. At one point, 
you will spin to the water so when Sonic comes out of the water, quickly 
press right to reach the land.

Then, after all the trouble, Knuckles will be at a blocked wall while 
you are standing on a bridge. He will press the button and let you fall.

After that, water will rush out and Sonic will have to hang on poles. Go 
to the top of the pole and press the A, B or C button to destroy them. 
Continue doing this and you will reach the lamppost.

The water will go down and Dr. Robotnik will appear in his creation.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Water Machine - 8 Hits
-----
In his nasty water machine, he will have all sorts of attacks so beware. 
When he comes down, attack him immediately a few times if you can. 

He will also throw down a few 'pill-like water shooter'. When it 
explodes, quickly jump on the gushing water to bring Sonic up to hit 
that annoying Robotnik. Make sure you face at the right direction to hit 
him.

When he comes down, he will spin a tornado so try and avoid it while 
hitting him.

Just try and avoid his water attacks and hit him 8 times and you should 
win. 

After hitting the capsule, water will gush up on where Sonic stands and 
bring him up in the air.

[3.3] Marble Garden Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Sonic will fall and runs down a steep slope and you can control him. 
There will be a ring somewhere here in the beginning, after the moving 
platforms.

There will be a series of badniks here, all good and clever espeacially 
the grasshopper badnik which can jumps up anytime and hurt you and also, 
the false-spike badniks which are annoying too.

You will learn to control the spinning blue top which are easy to 
control. Just run to the right and that should do it.

Sometimes, the driller machine will appear to lead a way out for Sonic. 
Also, the 'tribe-like darts shooter' can be hit three times to lead a 
way down there.

Mini-Boss - Driller Machine - 6 Hits
-----
Avoid the sharp things that come down but the circle ones won't hurt. 
Hit him (not on top of his spikes) 6 times and that should destroy it. 
This mini-boss is easy and should not be that hard.

Act 2 -
This time, Dr. Robotnik will appear and although you can hit it, it 
doesn't effect it later on. Just continue as usual until the second time 
when Dr. Robotnik appear. 

On the second time he appears, quickly spin to the left as everything 
will move and tumble and if you're slow, you'll be 'eaten up' by the 
crushing platforms. It should not be much problem unless you're a new 
gamer. Try and memorize the way you should go and be quick enough and 
you will get past that part.

After that, jump to the right for the lamppost then continue to the left 
side as normal. At the end, Dr. Robotnik will appear from up. Hit him 
several times if you can. Better still, just control Tails and use him 
to hit Robotnik and that will make the following battle easier.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Flying Drill Machine - 8 Hits
-----
If you hit him several times before, it will be much easier. Tails will 
carry you (of course, as I said before, if you had a friend to help, it 
will be easier since you'll have to control Tails at the same time, 
making it a little harder).

Try and hit him when he's on the right. Then, he'll appear on the left 
and etc. It's a continuous pattern when he will appear and it should be 
easy to notice: right, left, down, up.

You must also avoid his drill when he appears. Try not to get hurt as 
when you lose your rings, you will likely not to get any of them back.

After that, a flying capsule will appear so destroy it to release 
animals. 

-------------------------------------
[3.4] Carnival Night Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
The name suits the zone very well since it's almost like a carnival, but 
with deadly spikes and robots. There are balloons which you can jump on 
them to jump higher.

This part should be easy and you should not have any problem. After 
continuing all the way, prepare for a battle.

Mini-Boss - Spinning Spike - 4 Hits
-----
Quite an easy battle if you know what to do. Try and hit the main 
machine (not the spinning spike) to extend it. The spinning spike will 
hit it thus 'hurting' it.

Continue doing this 6 times and it will be destroyed. Then, all the 
bricks will fall down. If you don't destroy it in time, the spinning 
spike will destroy the brick-floors and Sonic will fall and die.

Act 2 -
After Act 1, go to the right and continue your way. You'll encounter the 
usual things as above except for some new stuffs which you can know. 

In the middle of the game, Knuckles will appear with his usual grins and 
pressed a button to raise the water. That means you will have to play in 
the water for a while.

But, before you enter it, use the spinning thing and jump to the ledge 
on the right to get a bubble-shield or use Tails to carry Sonic up. 
Getting a bubble-shield will make it all together easier for Sonic.

Try to avoid stepping on spikes and the controls will be slightly slower 
since you're in water, not to mention the electric robots.

After that, the water will go lower and Sonic can continue his journey. 
After going to several places, Sonic will have to press a grey button 
and spin to the left underneath the spikes to continue.

Now, continuing the level is easy but once you're stuck in the bouncing 
ball area, it will drive you mad like me and other gamers who have the 
same problem.

After playing that same level for a while, I've discovered that it's 
actually simple and you don't need to jump about on the bouncing ball.

Okay, listen carefully. Just jump on the red, bouncing thing and press 
the up button when it goes up and the down button when it goes down. 
Then, when it leave enough space for Sonic to jump off, do it 
immediately.

Breathe a sigh of relief and continue your way quickly as the time are 
going 9.59. At the end, quickly finish off Dr. Robotnik.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Electric Ball Machine - 8 Hits

*sigh* After the annoying bouncing area, this boss will be a bit hard so 
just be quick with care.

When Robotnik drops his green ball, avoid it. He will come down with his 
machine so quickly hit him. Then, he will power up electricity and Sonic 
will be trapped in there if you're not careful so don't try and hit him 
when he's using that electric.

Do this 8 times and he will be destroyed. Then, jump on the capsule to 
release the animals once more. Then, head right and you'll see a cannon. 
Jump into it and shoot Sonic to the top-right and you will continue into 
another stage.

[3.5] IceCap Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
See and enjoy the wonderful scenary of Icecap, after all that hard work, 
you reached here at last. Sonic will snowboard here and you can only 
jump. After all that, Sonic will bump automatically into a wall and snow 
will come down, covering him up.

Then, spin through the three ice blocks and you can continue your 
journey. Although the graphics are amazingly beautiful, the level can be 
hard. 

Most of the things here are frozen like the grey button and even item 
boxes! You need to hit the ice covering it then only you can hit the 
item that you want.

When you reach the place with the frozen grey button, don't jump on it 
yet. Try and jump over it and then head right to reach the ring.

When Sonic slides down a slope (when he's coming down from the right), 
jump to the left to land on an ice platform. It will bring Sonic to a 
place while destroying things on the way.

Another part is where Sonic must be quick enough to have the strength of 
speed to move the blue platform up. When it goes up, quickly jump on the 
nearest platform or you'll fall. 

You can also make use of the yellow bumpers to help you easily. Another 
part is where you must push a platform (near the lamppost), then quickly 
jump on top of it so you can continue easily.

Then, prepare for a mini-boss at the end of the stage.

Mini-Boss - Ice Shield - 6 Hits
-----
This robot will have ice shields over it and you must be careful not to 
hit the ices. You can hit him but you may also get hit by the ice 
shields always. 

Easier, use Tails to hit him while Sonic just avoid it when it attacks. 
Continue 5 times and the robot is gone.

Act 2 -
Continue as usual and it has most of the elements of Act 1. There's also 
the Robotnik item box so be sure NOT to hit it.

There will be swings which you must repeatedly jump on it to gain enough 
height to continue.

Go through the level and before you know it, you'll fight Dr. Robotnik.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Freezing Ice - 8 Hits
-----
A bit hard to deal with this eggy guy. He will use his 'ice breath' when 
he extends his weapon. Jump on it if you want but you may get frozen too 
when he shoots underneath himself.

Keep at least one ring to be alive and be sure to collect it IMMEDIATELY 
when the ring falls off from you. 8 hits at him and say 'Goodbye' to 
him.

[3.6] Launch Base Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
This zone will be much difficult so collect all the rings when possible. 
In the beginning, be careful not to pass over the light siren or you'll 
the siren will riing, making robotic birds coming to attack Sonic.

You will find more enemies that you never see before too. You can jump 
inside the lift and must avoid traps and spikes. 

In certain parts, you must jump into the circular, rotating thing to 
make it move and bring Sonic up. There will be a red, box thing which 
can be destroyed to lead a way.

Almost the end, after going to the circular, rotating thing, Knuckles 
will appear and throw a bomb at you. Sonic will quickly jump out to 
avoid it. The whole building on the left will sink.

Then, continue until you see Robotnik. Follow him and he will leave a 
mini-boss for you to fight.

Mini-Boss - Rotating Spike - 6 Hits
-----
This boss can be quite easy, just see the style of it and you can win. 
Hit the part where there are no spikes since he will turn and move 
around.

Do this 5 times and Sonic will win.

Act 2 -
Next, another place which is almost the same as Act 1 except for more 
features and enemies here. Avoid the Robotnik item box. 

You also need to hit the red box to lead a way to continue. You will 
also enter the water but that should be easy to go out. Try to avoid the 
new laser trap in certain areas.

At the end, Dr. Robotnik will appear in his new machine.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Bowling Ball Machine - 8 Hits
-----
This battle will be easier if you know how to do it. Hard way: Jump to 
avoid the balls that Robotnik shoot, then stand on the ledge and hit 
him. 

Easy way: Use Tails to fly straight on the place where Robotnik is. 
Then, hit him a few times and his machine will be destroyed.

After that, Sonic will jump into Robotnik's Egg-o-Matic and float across 
the ocean. Then, Knuckles will appear and stops Sonic while he stands on 
a red platform.

Then, the platform collapsed and Knuckles fall underneath. Sonic will 
continue floating for a long time and at last reached Robotnik's 
floating base.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Laser Machine - 9 Hits
-----
Hit on top of him while avoiding the ball that 'travels' around the 
machine. You must avoid the lasers too.

Just hit him a few times then quickly come down. Then, continue hitting 
him in the middle. A few hits and his first part will be destroyed, 
follow by second part and his Egg-o-Matic. 

All this makes 8 hits and you will see his Death Egg and can proceed to 
Sonic & Knuckles area.

[3.7] Mushroom Hill Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Continue and for a short while, Sonic will duck to see Knuckles sneaking 
out and press a button to close the door. Then, he will go out.

Once you can get in control with Sonic, jump on the grey button to open 
the door. Enter it and make sure you get all of the Chaos Emeralds by 
now to unlock all of the Super Emeralds.

You'll see Super Ring there and it's different than the Big Ring. It is 
a little bigger in size with different colours on it almost, like Super 
Sonic.

You'll then be transported to the Hidden Palace Zone and all of the 
Chaos Emeralds you have will come out from you. Then, they transforms 
into the blacken Super Emeralds. Jump onto a particular Super Emerald to 
enter a special stage. 

After that, continue your way and you can also make use of the 
mushrooms. Jump on top of it several times to jump higher. See <6> 
Special Stages <6> for more info and help.

Spikes and new enemies are not forgotten as you travel to the zone. At 
the end, your mini-boss appears.

Mini-Boss - Wood Chopper - 6 Hits
-----
An easy boss and you can defeat it in no time. When you enter his area, 
you'll find long woods are standing still. The Wood Chopper will come 
down and chops them down so be sure to stand underneath him to avoid it.

Then, attack at the area that don't have fire underneath. Repeat this 6 
times to win.

Act 2 -
Now, enter Act 2 to find almost the same area as above, including 
annoying blowing chickens and traps.

To get out from the 'rope trap' that ties you, spin to a direction to 
get out from it. 

There's also item boxes that will help you a lot too. Continue until you 
saw the radar. 

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Spike Trap Machine - 8 hits
-----
When you see the radar, hit it and continue hitting it to hit Dr. 
Robotnik. Then, he'll run away and you must get ready.

Run at him and try to hit him as soon as his fire was gone. You must 
also try to avoid spikes that will block you.

Hit him 8 times and his machine will be almost exploding when he run 
straight into a tree! Then, jump onto the capsule and you'll finish that 
zone.

After that, Sonic will see a mouse-like creature controlling an 
aeroplane. He'll then jump onto it and then continue the level.

[3.8] Flying Battery Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
At the beginning, go straight up and you'll dash forward by a small, 
machine-like thing. There will be traps here of course, espeacially 
fire-spitters. Be sure not to get hit by it.

You can jump onto hangers with rings and some will bring you down. Mouse 
and cockroach enemies can be annoying too.

Be sure to look carefully before you jump or you'll end up falling to 
endless pits or right on top of spikes!

Spin Dash will help a lot here and at certain place, you must jump on to 
moving platforms to help you continue the level.

Continue the level and you'll fight a mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Capsule Trap - 6 Hits
-----
Hit the capsule and what did you see, eyes and hands appear! It's a trap 
and you must fight it to defeat it.

Now, stand on top of the yellow thing and wait until its eyes flashed. 
When it do that, quickly run towards a direction and one of its hands 
will hit the yellow thing.

Continue 6 times and it will hit itself to pieces, allowing it to 
release animals. 

Act 2 -
Harder as you may expect it to be. It's almost the same as above except 
with more enemies, traps and things.

Continue yourself, after the hanger of rings, you'll reach your boss.

Boss - Laser Machine - 8 Hits
-----
No, you don't really hit this machine. You'll be trapped by two row of 
light where Robotnik is controlling a laser machine. Don't hit it as 
it's no use.

Just avoid it when the laser shoots out its power. Continue this 8 times 
and the place to go will be smaller and smaller. At the last shot, 
Robotnik will be burned and he runs out for his second plan.

Quickly go through the lamppost and continue quickly as the movin floor 
will crush you. Spin Dash at certain areas and jump from platform to 
platform.

Then, wait patiently for it to bring you up to Dr. Robotnik's 
battlefield.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Hanging Spike Machine - 8 Hits
-----
You hear it right, another boss! Stand in the middle and hit him as soon 
as you saw he is coming down. Then, jump off to other place and continue 
doing this as he will move his spikes nearer to you.

After 4 moves, he will jump out and take that opportunity to jump at 
him. Do this 8 times and he will be burned (not completely). 

Then, jump on the capsule and proceed to Sandopolis.

[3.9] Sandopolis Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
*yawn* I hate this place the most. Why? It's hard and it has ghosts. 
There will be machinery robots here and you must push yellow brick to 
make it move where you must jump on it.

Be careful not to fall down to yellow 'sea' or you'll die. Sometimes, 
this yellow 'sea' brings you to a place.

Just continue, envy the 'not-so beautiful' place and you'll at last, 
reach the end for a Mini-Boss.

Mini-Boss - Stone Robot - 1 Hit
-----
One hit! Is it so simple? No, you must not even hit him on the head as 
it is completely useless. 

Since this dumb robot will keep following you, lure it towards the mini-
yellow 'sea'. While you're in it, jump repeatedly until it falls right 
to it and destroyed completely.

Simple, isn't it? Sonic will enter the door and prepare for ghostly 
place!

Act 2 -
I really, really hate this part the most! It's annoying! The place will 
be dark and use your eye carefully on the hanger thing that is used to 
light the place.

Continue until you automatically fall right onto a capsule to release 
ghosts! Yikes!

Now, pay attention carefully. As you may very well know, ghosts will not 
appear where there is bright light. But, the light that you make will 
grow dimmer and more dangerous ghosts will appear and attack you when 
it's completely dark.

Try and find for the hanger and hang on it to light the place for a 
while. An easy trick when you can't find the hanger and it's really 
dark, find for the lamppost and make sure you have enough rings to enter 
the bonus stages. When you come out, it will be bright a bit.

There's lots of parts that needs you to push the black thing to make the 
'door' 'disappear' for a while. 

Also, at one part, you need to jump as high as you can to a moving 
platform instead of Spin Dash to the bumper to bring you higher as it's 
almost impossible.

At the end, fight Dr. Robotnik once more.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Ancient Robot - 8 Hits
-----
When he moves forward (players of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will remember 
this similar boss) without his hands knocking you, jump on the hand and 
quickly attack his face. 

This will reveal Dr. Robotnik and you must quickly attack him. Continue 
8 times and this mad guy will run away.

Jump on the capsule and 'Hooray!', you have completed one of the hardest 
and worst stage ever!

[3.10] Lava Reef Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
As the name says, there will be lava here, including lava waterfall! 
There will be automatic exploding stone where it will explodes itself 
when you go near it.

This place should be easy and after that, you'll reach a Mini-Boss.

Mini-Boss - Spinning Wheels and Hand Machine - 15 Hits
-----
Maybe it's 15 hits but I forgot a little. Hit one of the two spinning 
wheels that shoots out fires. Hit one of the spinning wheel three times 
and it will be destroyed. 

Then, whether you destroy the spinning wheels or not, the hand will 
appear and try and hit one of the finger three times to destroy the 
finger completely. When it closes its hand, hit the finger.

This should be a little easy.

Act 2 -
This place will become dramatically harder as more traps will appear, 
including the cloud-like machine which will decrease your rings when you 
get hit by it.

At certain part, you will have to get past the spikes. See carefully at 
the rotating spikes and when it goes at the back of the pillar, quickly 
go past it.

Continue until you see a series of steps. Climb it and you'll see the 
ever-annoying Knuckles throwing a big boulder at Sonic, making him 
tumble and fall.

Then, Death Egg appear and flashed it eyes, making the whole place 
burns. Then, an automatic guided missile machine appears and will target 
and shoot platforms. 

Be sure to run quickly and jump to other platform carefully so you won't 
fall to lava pits. After that, jump to floating platforms that are going 
downwards. 

Search around here carefully and you'll find the useful Fire Shield item 
box. Take it and jump down where Dr. Robotnik will appear.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Spike Throwing Machine - 14 Hits
-----
Dr. Robotnik will appear on the right so always stand in the middle and 
the floor will be lava so stand on the platform everytime. He will shoot 
spike-balls so jump from platform to platform to let the spike-ball hit 
himself.

Do this 8 times and Dr. Robotnik will get burned again.

[3.11] Hidden Palace Zone
-------------------------------------

No acts here since this zone is nothing, really. Continue here and 
you'll find a few spikes with not a single robot and rings. Then, it's a 
show-down fight!

Mini-Boss - Knuckles - 8 Hits
-----
Cool, a fight with Knuckles! Who ever think of it? Don't hit him in 
front of his body, instead, hit his head. When he spins, don't hit him 
or you will get knocked down.

When he glides, you still can hit him but don't touch his knuckles! DO 
this 6 times and a small explosion will occur.

Then, Knuckles will realize that he had done a wrong thing and quickly 
runs towards a direction. Follow him and you'll see him destroying a 
wall.

Then, you're at the place where there are Master Emerald and Super 
Emeralds there! Dr. Robotnik will steal the Master Emerald and Knuckles 
will quickly climb on it. Sonic can hit Dr. Robotnik but it's no use.

Knuckles will get shocked by the electricity and he will fall down, 
letting that evil, egg-shaped creature escape.

Follow Knuckles towards the teleporter and you will be transported 
together with Knuckles.

[3.12] Sky Sanctuary Zone
-------------------------------------

No acts here either. Listen to the heavenly music and you know why it's 
called Sky Sanctuary Zone. 

Knuckles will come out and look tired. Just wait there while seeing the 
Death Egg appears. Then, Knuckles will jump on the grey button to open 
the bridge to let Sonic continue.

Then, continue your way while avoiding the false Robotnik's lasers. 
There will be lots of spikes here too and 'breakable' roads.

There are dark, white clouds that can be jumped to bounce you. Continue 
until you jump on the teleporter and prepare for an easy Mecha Sonic 
battle.

Boss - Mecha Sonic's Heavy Ball Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Totally simple as this idea was taken out from Sonic the Hedgehog game 
itself in Green Hill Zone Act 1.

There will be two platforms for you to stand; choose the right one. 
Then, as he comes down, attack him repeatedly while avoiding the big, 
brown ball that can knock Sonic flat.

Continue 8 times and that 'too-easy-to-defeat' machine will explodes. 
Then, continue your way and you'll find yet another boss which is the 
same as Sonic the Hedgehog 2's Metropolis Zone Act 3 machine.

Boss - Mini-Mecha Sonic Bubble Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Really, this is easy too. Just attack him and make his lose his 'bubble' 
that will transforms into a mini-version on himself.

Easier, just hit him repeatedly so that all of his bubbles will come out 
and then, give him the last hit where he will be hurt completely.

Continue once more and after a little while, you'll reach yet another 
boss.

Boss - Mecha Sonic - 8 Hits
-----
A solo battle at last, without using machines this time. Same rule as 
Knuckles, don't hit his spikes or when he is spinning. Hit his head all 
the time.

Hit him 8 times and you'll see him sitting down. Then, Sonic will run 
towards the nearest road when the land he stands fall down below. As he 
runs, the road breaks and Sonic quickly runs and jumps towards Death 
Egg.

[3.13] Death Egg Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Yes, Death Egg Zone has revived itself into a more technology place 
which means more trouble for Sonic. 

The blue, dot thing when appear, Sonic can run over it to cross the 
road. There is also certain parts when the whole area will reverse the 
gravity.

There will be a row of grey things that when you step on it, it will 
tilt sideways slowly so prepare a plan to use it carefully.

Also, another part requires you to hit a bouncing yellow machine 6 times 
correctly. You must hit it to turn it red where you can continue your 
journey on the right side.

Continue your way and you'll reach one of the hardest mini-boss ever!

Mini-Boss - Eye Bubble Machine - 8 Hits 
-----
Yet another same machine but the way to defeat it will be a little 
different. When the balls come down and turn around, try and gain enough 
height to attach the eye machine in the middle.

When you hit it, a ball will explode and spikes will come out so be sure 
to duck or jump over to avoid them.

Continue this 8 times and the machine will be spoiled. But, not for long 
when it is ready to attack you.

Mini-Boss - Eye Laser Machine - 8 Hits 
-----
Okay, before you hit the machine, avoid the two spinning spike platforms 
first and then only you attack it.

After you hit it, it will shoot lasers and the platforms will turn 
faster. At that time, head to the most left or right and then press down 
to duck.

Continue hitting it until it explodes where you can breathe a sigh of 
relief.

Act 2 -
The stage is almost the same as above with additional feature where a 
special thing can spin Sonic in a yellow, spiral way. 

Boss - Ball Defense Machine - 8 Hits
-----

As you may know, this machine cannot be hit by Sonic since it has a 
defense shield that defend itself. It can only be hit by its spikes-ball 
that it throws at Sonic on the ground.

Make full use of the anti-gravity thing and time carefully when you must 
enter it. Also, the spike-ball can only hurt the machine by its SPIKES 
instead of its wheels. 

When the spikes-ball hit the machine, whether the spikes or the wheels 
hit it, it will explode and spread out spikes.

Continue 8 times and see the ever-annoying Robotnik burned. Then, he 
will run away where Sonic will chase him - to give him a hard time! 
Also, run to the right as the road will go down.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Fingers of the Robot - 18 Hits
-----
Why is it 18 hits? Why? Well, every finger must be hit 3 times to 
destroy a finger completely and since there are 6 fingers, you must hit 
18 times to defeat him. Not satisfied with my explanation? Then, count 
yourself.

Dr. Robotnik will guide his fingers to crush you and you won't have a 
ring here so you must be careful. When he close his fingers, quickly 
jump on them. 

For a quicker kill, as soon as the fingers was about to close, quickly 
spin dash between them but there is a risk where Sonic may get crushed. 
To avoid that, after spinning at the fingers and hit them a few hits, 
jump quickly at an empty space to straighten itself.

After defeating him, the robot will go down and you must quickly run 
towards the right to avoid falling down below.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Master Emerald Powered Robot - 8 Hits
-----
Sounds childish but I have no idea what to name it. Get ready to 
concentrate on this boss only because one wrong move and Sonic will die.

When he shoots the fire, jump to avoid it and head to the left and hit 
the thing that shoots the fire (and make sure you won't fall). Then, it 
will reveal the Master Emerald where you must quickly hit it and jump 
when it shoots the laser.

Continue by using this technique repeatedly. Actually, it could be easy 
but as I say, you need concentration here.

After that, don't heave sigh of relief just yet as more will be coming. 
Continue pressing right as the floor will continue to collapse. You'll 
see Dr. Robotnik carrying the Master Emerald and you must hit him while 
pressing right at the same time. 

Hit him 8 times (as he is not really a boss, I won't write him as a 
boss) and he will be destroyed but not completely if you collect the 
seven Chaos Emeralds OR all the Emeralds. 

-------------------------------------
[3.14] The Doomsday
-------------------------------------

As the name suggests, Sonic will be doomed if you are not careful. 
Depending whether you had become Super or Hyper Sonic, Sonic will 
transform into one of them.

Also, The Doomsday can ONLY be accessed with either Super Sonic or Hyper 
Sonic only.

Avoid those rocks while collecting rings as the rocks will only slow you 
down while your rings are running out. Some missiles may be shot out by 
Robotnik so you must avoid that as well.

After collecting rings and avoiding things, you'll be given a chance to 
attack him. Make sure you have at least 80 rings to make the fight 
easier. 

Boss - Dr Robotnik's Flying Machine - 16 Hits
-----
Robotnik will shoot his guided missiles and you must guide those 
missiles to attack the robot's head on the top-right (the head of Dr. 
Robotnik's Master Emerald Powered Robot).

Continue 8 times and that flying machine will be destroyed, except his 
robot. And make sure you have enough rings as Robotnik will waste his 
time destroyed.

After that, fly towards the right and collect enough rings. When you 
feel you have enough, press most right and you'll see Dr. Robotnik. Hit 
him with your own body and Sonic will be pushed to the back. 

Collect few more rings, press most-right and attack him. Repeat 8 times 
by using this technique and you'll see the last of him in Sonic's 
Adventure.

Then, Super or Hyper Sonic will carry the Master Emerald with his head 
and he will transform into his original form on top of the Tornado. The 
Master Emerald will be supported at the back of the plane.

Then, it will fly towards the Angel Island and make it float again. 
Depending whether you get Super Sonic or Hyper Sonic, you'll get a 
slightly changed ending. Wait the credits roll down and then, The End of 
Sonic's Adventure.

<4> Tails' Adventure
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you start off with Tails' Adventure, it's recommended if you play 
Sonic's Adventure first. That is not needed but it's easier if you know 
what to do.

Tails' Adventure will be almost the same as Sonic's except for a few 
things.

[4.1] Angel Island Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
I don't really need to explain anymore. It's simple and you get through 
a couple of boulders, grey buttons, spikes, robot enemies, swings and 
many others.

Continue through and make sure you make full use of Tails' flying 
ability. This will bring him to lots of places that even Sonic haven't 
been before. This applies to other zones as well.

Mini-Boss - Fire Shooter - 6 Hits
-----
If you have the Fire Shield, it will be much easier. Jump on top of the 
enemy and hit him 6 times to destroy it completely.

Act 2 -
Now, Act 2 has almost the same things as above. You'll just find more 
enemies to attack and more item boxes to get. Continue until you meet 
with the eggy one.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Fire Shooter - 8 Hits
-----
Since this is a fire place, Dr. Robotnik will produce you with a fire 
invention. It will shoots fire and put down fireballs so prepare with a 
Fire Shield.

Just hit him 8 times but when it disappears, you'll just hit empty air 
and possibly fall down to holes.

Then, hit the capsule flying above and that's the end of the first zone.
After that, Tails will go forward to the bridge and will see the 
grinning Knuckles pressing on the yellow button to make Tails fall.

[4.2] Hydrocity Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Press the left button and Tails will land on the ground. Then, fly 
towards the higher right to reach waterless ground. The reason that you 
must do this because it's easier up here, rather than in water area that 
some players may have trouble about it.

Flying enemies, spikes and moving platforms are all here to puzzle you 
out. 

Mini-Boss - Water Spinner - 6 Hits
-----
Since Tails can swim, you can just swim up when that robot comes down. 
Or, you can spin to the right in the beginning and land in the middle 
and then to the left and land in the middle too.

After that, he will take a bit of time to put itself in the middle. Use 
that bit of chance to continue attacking him. If it still can't be 
destroyed, you will be spinned by its tornado. 

Once he stops that, he'll take another time to loosen himself so use 
that chance to attack him too.

Then, proceed to Act 2 where Tails will fall even down.

Act 2 -
In the beginning, try be quicker and spin towards the right as a wall 
will try and crush you. 

Then, continue the level with spikes and traps until you reach a yellow 
bridge. Knuckles will be on the other side and he will press a button to 
make Tails fall again.

Continue towards the pole and press A to release him. Do this a few 
times and you'll reach the lamppost. Then, get ready for a robot fight.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Water Machine - 8 Hits
-----

You can use Tails' tails to attack his machine. Or, do the same thing as 
Sonic. Jump on the mini-pill it throws when it explodes and Tails will 
be brought high up to hit Robotnik.

You can also hit it when it comes down. Do this 8 times by using the 
same technique and Robotnik will run away.

Stand on the capsule to release the animals and then, water will gush up 
and push Tails up.

[4.3] Marble Garden Zone

Act 1 -
Tails will come falling and while going down the slope, you can get some 
rings. Try to differenciate between the real, unmovable spike and the 
disgusing, false spike that can shoot fire. 

Also, you can get electric item box here too. You can sometimes spin on 
the blue thing to lead Sonic the way.

Continue until you reach the mini-boss. 

Mini-Boss - Drilling Machine - 6 Hits
-----
This machine should be easy to destroy. In the beginning, quickly use 
the tails to attack the enemy. It will dig towards the ceiling and 
stones and sharp spikes will fall down.

Also, when Tails fly, the spikes will repel back because of Tails' 
tails. Be careful not to hit the spikes when it comes down.

Act 2 -
Sometimes, you have to use the blue, top thing where Tails will run on 
it to let it move. It can destroy walls and floors to lead a way for 
Sonic.

When Robotnik appeared on the second time, you know that you must ready 
to be quick. Head towards the left and continue as fast as possible.

After getting out from that place, just continue a bit and you'll see 
that annoying eggy face in no time.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Flying Drill Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Just when Dr. Robotnik come down, quickly attack it. Then, when it flies 
up, you will have to depend on Tails' two tails. Control Tails to go 
under Robotnik and attack it. Continue attacking it until it dies.

The pattern of when he appears will be familiar. He'll appear on the 
right, left, down and up and will repeat this process until Game Over, 
Time Over or when he is destroyed.

Then, a flying capsule will hover on top of Tails. Hit it and you'll 
reach another zone.

[4.4] Carnival Night Zone
-------------------------------------
 
Act 1 -
Those who like carnivals will like this as this will be really fun and 
easy if you know how to do.

Floating balloons will be everywhere with spikes that can hurt you. 
Enemies and bouncing star-ball will annoy you as much as it annoys me.

Proceed until you reach the mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Spinning Spike - 4 Hits
-----
Keep at least one ring because you are going to need it. Hit the 
machine, not the flying spike to extend it with electricity. Wait until 
the spike hit it and it will get 'hurt'.

Continue doing the technique and it should be destroyed. If you still 
can't defeat it after a long time, be careful. The brick floors will be 
destroyed by the spike and if you're not careful, you will fly straight 
into holes. 

Then, continue your journey to Act 2.

Act 2 -
Continue your way while meeting Knuckles half-way through. The annoying 
area the most is the red, bouncing ball that players may have trouble 
with it.

Jump on the red, boucing ball and when it goes down, press the down 
button and when it goes up, press the up button. It should work. If it 
doesn't, try jumping on it again and immediately press the down button.

Okay, once you see enough space for Tails to get off from it, do so. 
Then, continue until you see the crazy Robotnik again.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Electric Ball Machine - 8 Hits
-----
This may get annoying if you had little time but there is a way. When he 
throws his green ball, use Tails' two tails and immediately attack it 
repeatedly. 

When it uses electricity, beware as you will get hurt by it and may 
never get out. Then, when Robotnik lowers down his machine to pick up 
the ball, quickly attack him.

Repeat this process until his machine explodes. Press the capsule and 
continue to the icy place.

[4.5] Icecap Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Sorry, no snowboarding for Tails as Tails will just bang into a wall, 
causing snow and himself to fall. From there, spin to destroy icy 
boulders and continue your way.

Please take note that most things are frozen here and you must hit the 
ice first to reveal the items. Avoid enemies here but hit them if you 
can. 

You can also make use of Tails' flying ability here at certain areas to 
make it easier for you to continue.

This place should be easy enough, with traps and freezing machine. Then, 
you should reach the mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Ice Shield - 6 Hits
-----
This boss get hard so prepare at least one ring. Try and hit it when it 
goes down with the ice going in the middle.

Continue hitting him until it was destroyed completely. Flying around 
doesn't help.

Act 2 -
Tails will be at the outer part, and you can fly around here to look at 
this icy place. Traps and enemies will be almost the same except you 
must beware not to hit on the Robotnik item box. 

Follow the way until you reach Dr. Robotnik.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Freezing Ice - 8 Hits
-----
May be hard for Sonic but Tails should be a little easier. You just have 
to remember, once he shoots the 'ice breath' on the sides, he will shoot 
the 'ice breath' in the middle.

You must jump on the extended thing to hit him or just fly straight to 
hit him though it may be tougher.

If you are frozen, your rings will come out. Try and use the right 
technique and you will win in no time.

[4.6] Launch Base Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Beware of turning on the alarm on by going through the square, light 
thing in the beginning. Robotic birds will come and attack you until you 
turn it off although the birds can be destroyed easily.

You'll learn more things here like lifts, rotating thing and many more. 
Most of them will help you to continue the way. Flying around usually 
helps but do fly at the right place. You may also need to hit the red 
box thing to continue your way.

Then, after the rotating thing, you'll meet the ever-annoying Knuckles 
and he will throw a bomb, destroying the building. Run quickly to see 
Dr. Robotnik and continue until he leaves you to battle.

Mini-Boss - Rotating Spike - 6 Hits
-----
If you are not careful and don't know what to do, you'll find this mini-
boss tough. 

All you need to do is to hit the part where there are no spike at the 
right part or you'll get hit. Continue hitting it few times and it 
should be destroyed, leaving you peace to continue journey to Act 2.

Act 2 -
Nothing special except that you will get into water. Most items that you 
find here is similar to Act 1. It may take you a long time until you 
reach Dr. Robotnik.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Bowling Ball Machine - 8 Hits
-----
This boss is easy as I said, if you know what to do. It will extend a 
small platform for Tails to jump and hit him. But, it will shoot bowling 
balls at random so you must prepare yourselves at all time.

Just hit on top of him and continue doing the same way until it runs 
away. Jump inside Dr. Robotnik's Egg-o-Matic and you'll meet Knuckles 
standing on the platform.

He'll use his knuckles to push you backwards but the platform collapsed 
and he fall. Then, Tails will continue and he'll meet the eggy one once 
more.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Laser Machine - 9 Hits
-----
Avoid the spike that travels around him and hit him as many times as you 
like while avoiding him.

You must avoid lasers that he shoots. You will destroy the first part 
after a few hits than another two more parts after another few more 
hits.

Then, this eggy will be destroyed and continue to the Sonic & Knuckles 
area.

[4.7] Mushroom Hill Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Continue a little bit in this 'mushroomy' place and you'll see Knuckles 
looking suspicious.

He'll step on the grey button to close the place where he comes from. 
Enter it and you'll see the Super Ring. To get more information, look 
below.

Enemies are quite easy to defeat as you can see right through their 
style right away! Not even the blowing chicken and mushroom thrower can 
stop Tails!

Sometimes, you may get stuck in a brown, coiling thing. To get out from 
it, just spin dash.

Then, you should reach the mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Wood Chopper - 6 Hits
-----
No doubt it is one of the easiest mini-boss ever! Just hit it when the 
fire below him is gone and continue 6 times and it should be destroyed 
and wrecked.

Act 2 -
Easy and it is almost the same as above. All you need to do is continue 
until the end. I don't really need to explain.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Spike Trap Machine - 8 Hits
-----
When you see the radar sending signals in electric form, attack on top 
of it and continue hitting him. You should be able to hit him 5 times or 
less. 

After that, continue hitting him as you see the fire went out. Be sure 
to jump over the spikes or you will get hit by it. 

Continue hitting a few more times and you win. Dr. Robotnik will ram 
himself into a big tree without looking and Tails ran underneath the 
tree. Jump on the capsule to set the animals free.

Wait for the songs to go off and Tails will look at the airplane. He 
jumps on it to continue further.

[4.8] Flying Battery Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Another flying place which has fire built-in machines here and sometimes 
bottomless holes.

This place should be easy to continue, minus the deadly machines and 
bottomless holes which you may encounter. Continue your way until you 
reach the capsule.

Mini-Boss - Capsule Trap - 6 Hits
-----
A mini-boss in disguise, sly isn't it? Step in the middle of the capsule 
and two eyes with two hands appear. 

The trick to defeat it is: Stand in the middle and the moment its eyes 
flashed, you must jump off immediately to avoid being squashed and lose 
rings.

Once you jump off, it will hit itself in the middle and hit it a few 
times to release animals.

Act 2 -
Again, similar to above with random features at different places. 
Continue yourself and guide Tails to the boss.

Boss - Laser Machine - 8 Hits
-----
No, you don't really hit this machine. You'll be trapped by two row of 
light where Robotnik is controlling a laser machine. Don't hit it as 
it's no use.

Just avoid it when the laser shoots out its power. Continue this 8 times 
and the place to go will be smaller and smaller. At the last shot, 
Robotnik will be burned and he runs out for his second plan.

Quickly go through the lamppost and continue quickly as the movin floor 
will crush you. Spin Dash at certain areas and jump from platform to 
platform.

Then, wait patiently for it to bring you up to Dr. Robotnik's 
battlefield.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Hanging Spike Machine - 8 Hits
-----
You hear it right, another boss! Stand in the middle and hit him as soon 
as you saw he is coming down. Then, jump off to other place and continue 
doing this as he will move his spikes nearer to you.

Then, jump over him and after four times of moves, it will jump up so 
take that chance to hit him a few times. 

Continue until it was throughly destroyed. Jump on the capsule to 
release the trapped animals. Then, spin to Sandopolis.

[4.9] Sandopolis Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Not at all my favourite place as it is jammed with deadliest enemies and 
traps. You'll find swings, movable bricks, sand-fall and many others so 
that's why this zone's name suits it.

Continue until you reach the end where a pyramid will appear suddenly 
with a door. Then, a stone robot appears.

Mini-Boss - Stone Robot - 1 Hit
-----
You don't really need to hit him and you must not as it will only waste 
your time. Lure it straight to the yellow 'sea' on the left.

You can try to fly if you want at the place to avoid sink underneath. 
Once it jumps straight into the yellow 'sea', you will see it sink and 
destroyed.

Then, enter the door for the scariest zone of all Sonic games!

Act 2 -
It will be dark so you'll need to find some kind of hanger, look like 
something Tails can hang on. Once you continue enough, you will step on 
the capsule to release the ghosts.

As it goes dark, it will make the ghosts bigger so you'll need to find 
the hanger quickly. Sometimes, you'll need to push black thing to make 
another yellow thing go off for a while.

Make use of Tails' flying ability a bit around here. Then, continue to 
the boss.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Ancient Robot - 8 Hits
-----
Of course, players from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will remember a similar 
final boss like this.

Robotnik will be hidden on top and you need to reveal it. Avoid the 
spikes and try to jump on the hands and quickly hit on top of his head 
in order to reveal him.

Once you did that, hit him immediately. Then, hit him continously until 
his invention is destroyed completely where you can heave a sigh of 
relief.

Jump on the capsule and proceed.

[4.10] Lava Reef Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
A real, exciting place with lava almost everywhere! Enemies are quite 
dangerous this time as well as traps but it should be quite easy.

There are also spikes here which can be easily avoided. Proceed until 
the mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Spinning Wheels and Hand Machine - 15 Hits
-----
Fun time to hit wheels! Hit one of the two spinning wheels that shoots 
out fires. If you hit one of the spinning wheel three times, then it 
will be destroyed. 

Then, whether you destroy the spinning wheels or not, the hand will 
appear and try and hit one of the finger three times to destroy the 
finger completely. When it closes its hand, hit the finger.

That should be a little easy. 

Act 2 -
Not so much lava as before but more traps are more than before. At one 
place, Knuckles will throw a big rock at Tails and Tails will tumble and 
fall below.

The Death Egg will appear and with its eyes flashed, the whole place is 
burned! A rocket missile will appear and it will target and shoot 
platforms so you will have to be fast.

After the lamppost, go lower a bit and you will see a Fire Shield if you 
search properly. Take it as it is important to make the battle with 
Robotnik easier.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Spike Throwing Machine - 14 Hits
-----
Stand in the middle platform and when he appears, the place will be 
slanting and you must jump from platform to platform while avoiding the 
spikes he threw.

When it touched his machine, he will get hurt so the main point to 
defeat him is to let the spike he threw hurt himself.

You can also try to fly around too but there's a risk. Once you defeat 
him, you can continue to Hidden Palace Zone.

[4.11] Hidden Palace Zone
-------------------------------------

No acts here of course as this zone is pretty simple. All you need to do 
is to continue a little by using bumpers and avoid random spikes here 
and there. Thankfully, there are no enemies to fight here.

If you use Tails at certain place and fly high enough, you will reach a 
place with item boxes! Anyway, continue until you meet Knuckles and 
ready to battle with him.

Mini-Boss - Knuckles - 8 Hits
-----
A real treat from Sonic Team, you can fight against Knuckles! He can 
spin too so don't hit when he is spinning and most importantly, don't 
hit his knuckles.

Try hitting his head a few times and he should awake and realize what he 
has done.

Then, a small explosion occurs (with strange sounds but cool) and 
Knuckles will go away. Follow him and he will destroy a wall.

Continue a little bit and you will see Dr. Robotnik stealing the Master 
Emerald. Here's the place where the Super Emeralds are here! Knuckles 
will jump on the Master Emerald.

In this time, you can hit Robotnik but it's no use. Knuckles will be 
shocked by electricity and he will fall down, leaving the bad one run 
away.

Then continue. Jump on the teleporter to go to another zone.

[4.12] Sky Sanctuary Zone
-------------------------------------

No acts again here but this place is easy. In the beginning, wait until 
the picture of Death Egg in the background appears. Wait until he shoots 
all his missiles.

Knuckles will jump on the grey button, leading you a way to continue. 
There will be collapsing bridges so you must be quick. Be sure to hit or 
avoid enemies too.

Wait until you meet your first boss.

Boss - Mecha Sonic's Heavy Ball Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Totally simple as this idea was taken out from Sonic the Hedgehog game 
itself in Green Hill Zone Act 1.

There will be two platforms for you to stand; choose the right one. 
Then, as he comes down, attack him repeatedly while avoiding the big, 
brown ball that can knock Sonic flat.

Continue 8 times and that 'too-easy-to-defeat' machine will explodes. 
Then, continue your way and you'll find yet another boss which is the 
same as Sonic the Hedgehog 2's Metropolis Zone Act 3 machine.

Boss - Mini-Mecha Sonic Bubble Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Really, this is easy too. Just attack him and make his lose his 'bubble' 
that will transforms into a mini-version on himself.

Easier, just hit him repeatedly so that all of his bubbles will come out 
and then, give him the last hit where he will be hurt completely.

Continue a little bit, jump on the teleporter to reach the last boss for 
this zone.

Boss - Mecha Sonic - 8 Hits
-----
This fight will be similar to Knuckles'. Don't hit his spikes and when 
he is spinning and be sure to keep at least one ring.

Also, hit his head all the time as that is the 'attackable' place. Hit 
him until he sit down looking defeated and electrified.

After that, you will win. The road will collapse and Tails will jump on 
the nearby road and continue running and jump straight to Death Egg.

[4.13] Death Egg Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
This place is different than Sonic the Hedgehog 2's Death Egg Zone. More 
technology here makes this place full of enemies and the most dangerous 
traps you've ever encountered.

I hope you are much better than before, after the previous 12 zones with 
different kind of enemies and traps as this place will be harder. Make 
full use of Tails' flying ability.

There is one gravity part with a strange thing with two sides. Hit the 
yellow thing to change into red colour which allows you to continue your 
way on your right.

Then, prepare for one of the hardest mini-boss!

Mini-Boss - Eye Bubble Machine - 8 Hits 
-----
Yet another same machine but the way to defeat it will be a little 
different. When the balls come down and turn around, try and gain enough 
height to attach the eye machine in the middle.

When you hit it, a ball will explode and spikes will come out so be sure 
to duck or jump over to avoid them.

Continue this 8 times and the machine will be spoiled. But, not for long 
when it is ready to attack you.

Mini-Boss - Eye Laser Machine - 8 Hits 
-----
Okay, before you hit the machine, avoid the two spinning spike platforms 
first and then only you attack it.

After you hit it, it will shoot lasers and the platforms will turn 
faster. At that time, head to the most left or right and then press down 
to duck.

Continue hitting it until it explodes where you can breathe a sigh of 
relief.

Act 2 -
The stage is almost the same as above with additional feature where a 
special thing can spin Tails in a yellow, spiral way. 

Boss - Ball Defense Machine - 8 Hits
-----

As you may know, this machine cannot be hit by Tails since it has a 
defense shield that defend itself. It can only be hit by its spikes-ball 
that it throws at Tails on the ground.

Make full use of the anti-gravity thing and time carefully when you must 
enter it. Also, the spike-ball can only hurt the machine by its SPIKES 
instead of its wheels. 

When the spikes-ball hit the machine, whether the spikes or the wheels 
hit it, it will explode and spread out spikes.

Continue 8 times and see the ever-annoying Robotnik burned. Then, he 
will run away where Tails will chase him - to give him a hard time! 
Also, run to the right as the road will go down.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Fingers of the Robot - 18 Hits
-----
Why is it 18 hits? Why? Well, every finger must be hit 3 times to 
destroy a finger completely and since there are 6 fingers, you must hit 
18 times to defeat him. Not satisfied with my explanation? Then, count 
yourself.

Dr. Robotnik will guide his fingers to crush you and you won't have a 
ring here so you must be careful. When he close his fingers, quickly 
jump on them. 

For a quicker kill, as soon as the fingers was about to close, quickly 
spin dash between them but there is a risk where Tails may get crushed. 
To avoid that, after spinning at the fingers and hit them a few hits, 
jump quickly at an empty space to straighten itself.

After defeating him, the robot will go down and you must quickly run 
towards the right to avoid falling down below.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Master Emerald Powered Robot - 8 Hits
-----
Sounds childish but I have no idea what to name it. Get ready to 
concentrate on this boss only because one wrong move and Tails will die.

When he shoots the fire, jump to avoid it and head to the left and hit 
the thing that shoots the fire (and make sure you won't fall). Then, it 
will reveal the Master Emerald where you must quickly hit it and jump 
when it shoots the laser.

Continue by using this technique repeatedly. Actually, it could be easy 
but as I say, you need concentration here.

After that, don't heave sigh of relief just yet as more will be coming. 
Continue pressing right as the floor will continue to collapse. You'll 
see Dr. Robotnik carrying the Master Emerald and you must hit him while 
pressing right at the same time. 

Hit him 8 times (as he is not really a boss, I won't write him as a 
boss) and he will be destroyed but not completely if you collect the 
seven Chaos Emeralds OR all the Emeralds. 

Then, Tails will fly down and stand on the Tornado (Sonic is inside the 
aeroplane!). Then, the Master Emerald will come down behind the Tornado 
and it was put into the middle of Angel Island.

<5> Knuckles' Adventure <5>
------------------------------------------------------------------------

This guide will help you with Knuckles. Please take note that Knuckles' 
Adventure is totally different than Sonic and Tails and he will take 
different way on different stages.

Knuckles' jumps are lower than Sonic and Tails so control properly. I 
have explain a lot in Sonic's or Tails' Adventure so I hope you have 
finished Sonic or Tails' by now.

[5.1] Angel Island Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
More than easy, just continue while dodging enemies and you can try out 
Knuckles' new ability. Knuckles can dig through rocks with his Knuckles 
and that allows him to take a different way altogether.

At the end, you'll still fight with the same, old mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Fire Shooter - 6 Hits
-----
Attack the robot on top of its head so beware not to stand underneath 
him. This boss is too easy. Just hit on top of him and it will be 
destroyed completely.'

Act 2 -
Continue with Act 2. You may not be familiar with the new, Knuckles' 
surroundings but his new moves helps a lot.

Continue to the boss.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Fire Shooter - 8 Hits
-----
Attack him whenever possible and be sure to avoid the fire he shoots. 
It's easy, really! Attack him repeatedly until it dies.

[5.2] Hydrocity Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 - 
You can continue into the water if you like. This level is similar to 
Sonic's or Tails' so I really can't describe much except spikes and 
enemies.

Mini-Boss - Water Spinner - 6 Hits
-----
A simple boss to defeat but because of Knuckles' low jump, it will take 
a little longer. Basically, you just need to spin to the right in the 
beginning and then to the left as he will come in the opposite 
directions.

Then, attack him once he settles down in the middle. Continue attacking 
him and repeat the above process if it fails.

Act 2 -
Not much difference except that Knuckles don't meet with another 
Knuckles on the way! He just go to different road by destroying a wall.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Water Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Jump on the pills that he dropped as soon as they explodes to make 
Knuckles gain enough height to jump above to hit Robotnik.

You can also hit him when he comes down. Continue hitting him until his 
machine goes 'KA-BOOM!'

Jump on the capsule and proceed to Marble Garden Zone.

[5.3] Marble Garden Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
As I had said before, it's almost similar as Sonic and Tails' except 
using different roads that you may use. Continue as usual until the 
mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Driller Machine - 6 Hits
-----
Attack the parts that don't have the spikes on it. It will drills up the 
ceiling, causing stones and sharp spikes which will hurt you fall down.

Attack it a few times until it was destroyed throughly.

Act 2 -
Again, almost the same as Sonic's and Tails'. Knuckles will use a 
different road in the middle of the game. Continue as usual with the 
same enemies and spike traps.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Spike Machine - 8 Hits 
-----
Since Tails can't carry Knuckles, it's an altogether a different boss. 
Stand in the middle and wait until Robotnik appears with his spikes.

When he will come out is random so you will have to look out yourself. 
Hit him whenever possible and continue 8 times until his machine is 
destroyed.

[5.4] Carnival Night Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
This zone will be almost the same as Sonic's and Tails' (again) a little 
bit. Sometimes, Knuckles will use different ways to continue. Proceed 
until you meet the mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Spinning Spike - 4 Hits
-----
Hit the main machine to extend itself so that the spinning spike can hit 
it. Continue doing the same technique and it should be destroyed in no 
time.

If the spike hits the bricks until it made a hole, destroy it quickly or 
Knuckles will fall inside it.

Once you destroy it, you will land onto the ground and continue to Act 
2.

Act 2 -
Continue until the end. This place should be easy without the red 
boucing thing. There is no boss here. Hurray! Stand on the teleporter to 
IceCap.

[5.5] IceCap Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
You start from where the teleporter brings you. Not much to say except 
that is almost the same as Sonic's and Tails' zones except that 
sometimes you break the ice walls. Just continue as usual until you 
reach the mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Ice Shield - 6 Hits
-----
When it spins and goes down, hit it down there immediately. Be sure to 
keep at least one ring. 

Continue hitting it until it goes 'KA-BOOM!' Easier still, try and get 
hit by it and quickly hit it repeatedly since you are invinsible. Grab 
the rings too.

Act 2 -
Again, almost the same. Make use of Knuckles' special abilities to help 
you here. Proceed until you reach the boss.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Freezing Ice - 8 Hits
-----
This boss is similar to Sonic and Tails'. You have to look out for his 
technique of attacking. Whenever he extends his platform for Knuckles to 
jump, look carefully. 

After he shoots out his 'ice breath' at the side, he will likely to 
shoot at the platform so you have to be careful. That means, after he 
shoots his 'ice breath' at the platform, quickly jump at it and attack 
him.

Repeat this continously until his machine wrecked. Then, continue to 
Launch Base Zone.

[5.6] Launch Base Zone

Act 1 -
Simple, really as it is almost the same as Sonic's and Tails'. All you 
need to do is continue your way to the mini-boss. Near the end, it will 
be a little different as you go to a different way.

Mini-Boss - Double Rotating Spikes - 12 Hits
-----
Looks like Robotnik wants to get rid of Knuckles immediately until he 
leaves two mini-bosses for Knuckles to fight. 

Attack any rotating spike enemy first where there are no spike at that 
time. Once you hit it, quickly run to the right and left. 

Continue hitting until you wins. Remember to keep one ring with you 
always.

Act 2 -
A little different but you should not have any trouble at all. Learn to 
recognize things that are dangerous. At the end, you'll end up with only 
a boss.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Robot - 8 Hits
-----
Yeah, Dr. Robotnik is mad enough to unleash his final boss in the 
original Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (which Sonic's and Tails' Adventure don't 
have this kind of boss).

Thankfully enough, you just need 8 hits to destroy the mean, old egg-
creature. It's a bit hard but fairly easy if you know what to do.

When he comes down 2 or 3 times, hit the side of him. If you go too high 
or too low, you'll either get hit by the spike on top of him or get 
caught in his hands which he'll bang you later on. That's why you must 
get ready at least a ring.

Sometimes, he may come too high or too low and you must get ready to hit 
him at the right height. That's part one. Next, he'll float around then 
falls down which you must avoid. 

Jump over the spikes when he moves. After a few movements, he'll stop 
suddenly and jump away. If you're facing his direction, prepare to jump 
and hit his middle while avoiding the spikes and hands.

That will be his pattern and he will continue to do the same thing. 
Continue hitting him 8 times all together and you can reach the next 
zone.

[5.7] Mushroom Hill Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Fairly easy as enemies and traps are the same as Sonic's and Tails' 
Adventure. Knuckles must use his gliding and climbing ability at certain 
times.

Mini-Boss - Wood Chopper - 6 Hits
-----
Now, this boss is easy (as everyone knows) but because of Knuckles' 
limited jumps, it will take a bit longer time.

Head to most right and wait until his fire is gone and hit him. Continue 
this technique until it was destroyed.

Act 2 -
Another 'mushroomy' area which is quite nice to see. Remember, Knuckles 
will go to an altogether different place so you will have to expect 
different ways.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Spike Trap Machine - 8 Hits

When you see that radar, hit him on the head and continue until it runs 
away.

Follow him and you will see a set of spike traps he got. Jump over 
spikes and as soon as you see his fire went off for a while, press right 
and jump at him but be sure to jump over the spikes later.

Continue few more times and he will bang himself into the tree. Then, 
step on the capsule to continue.

[5.8] Flying Battery Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
Continue like normal and you should be able to reach the end without 
problems. Try and find different ways to go.

Mini-Boss - Capsule Trap - 6 Hits
-----
Jump on the capsule to find eyes and hands appear! Stand in the middle 
and wait until its eyes flashed, you must quickly jump off the capsule 
or you'll get hit. Once you did that, the capsule will hit itself.

Continue doing the same technique over and over again until it's 
destroyed and release the animals inside it.

Act 2 -
Again, just almost the same with fire and electricity build-in enemies. 
Continue until you reach the boss.

Boss - Laser Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Try and avoid the lasers that it shoot. You don't really need to hit it. 
Just stand and avoid until it burns Robotnik together. No, you can't hit 
the Laser Machine as it is too tall for Knuckles to reach!

After destroying it, go past the lamppost and quickly Spin Dash so you 
can go away quickly as the platforms will crush you. Once you reach the 
end, wait until Robotnik comes down.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Hanging Spike Machine - 8 Hits
-----
Madder than ever as he build a nasty machine that can shoots fire this 
time! Even though it's same when Sonic fights it, he builds fire so that 
he can shoots Knuckles whenever he glides over him!

Anyway, once he shoots his fire, quickly glide over him to avoid his 
attacks. After that, when he appears, attack him a few times and 
continue the above technique all over again until his machine is 
destroyed. Then, continue to Sandopolis.

[5.9] Sandopolis Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
The level can be a little hard than the others and terribly annoying at 
times. So, continue while avoiding all sorts of sand-robots until you 
reach the end. 

A gigantic pyramid will appear and then, the door appears and the robot 
comes out.

Mini-Boss - Stone Robot - 1 Hit
-----
Don't hit his head as it is completely useless. Run to the left and wait 
at the yellow 'sea' to lure him.

Once he jumps inside the yellow 'sea', he will be destroyed completely 
(that explains why just 1 hit).

Then, enter the door to Act 2.

Act 2 -
Ghosts will automatically appear without Knuckles stepping on the 
capsule. Continue your way while pushing black thing to lead you to the 
correct path.

At one part near the end, you'll need to reach the upper part. Go to the 
most right but don't push the yellow brick. Then, climb the right wall 
and when Knuckles is at the top, jump to the left.

Jump to the left and jump at the sand at the top to release sand. Then, 
go back to where the yellow brick is and push it to the right until you 
reach the black thing. 

Push the yellow brick to let the yellow brick supports the black thing. 
Don't push the black thing with Knuckles' hands. After that, immediately 
go to the right and don't waste a single second.

Once you're safely inside, then, push the black thing again and glide to 
the left wall. Climb high but don't too high near the ceiling so that 
when Knuckles jump, the ceiling won't disturb you.

Then, glide to the right at the correct height and you should reach 
safely at the other side. Then, continue until you meet Dr. Robotnik.

Boss - Dr. Robotnik's Ancient Robot - 8 Hits
-----
Similar to Sonic's and Tails (and Sonic the Hedgehog 2's Death Egg Zone 
last boss). All you need to do is to jump on the hand but don't touch 
its spikes.

Once you jump on the hand, immediately jump at his head (on top) to 
reveal Dr. Robotnik and stops his robot's moves.

After revealing Dr. Robotnik, quickly hit him on the head. Repeat this 
process and you will win.

Then, Knuckles will jump on the capsule and automatically head to Lava 
Reef Zone.

[5.10] Lava Reef Zone
-------------------------------------

Act 1 -
My favourite place and it can be fun! Most of the things here are really 
easy and you shouldn't have problems with this level. Proceed to the 
mini-boss.

Mini-Boss - Spinning Wheels and Hands Machine - 15 Hits
-----
Totally easy and you just need a little skills here. As soon as the 
wheels appear, hit one of them. You need to know that each wheels can be 
destroyed with 3 hits so you need 6 hits to destroy both wheels. Avoid 
the fire by going underneath and jump over them.

After the wheels, the hands will appear with three fingers. Destroy each 
fingers by hitting them once it closes its fingers.

Then, continue to Act 2.

Act 2 -
Better than ever! There's lots of changes like Act 1 since it's 
different than Sonic's and Tails' Adventure. There will be no boss here 
so you can jump with joy.

Continue to the next zone (without capsule and Robotnik disturbing you).

[5.11] Hidden Palace Zone
-------------------------------------

No acts and no boss. Sorry, no fighting with Sonic or Tails please. 
You'll just continue to the next zone.

[5.12] Sky Sanctuary Zone
-------------------------------------

The last zone for Knuckles' Adventure and don't hope too far for Death 
Egg Zone.

In the beginning, you'll start fighting!

Boss - Mecha Sonic - 8 Hits
-----
Just like Sonic's and Tails' Adventure. Attack him on the head but don't 
get hit by its spikes and when he is spinning. 

Attack him 8 times and then, Mecha Sonic will go right without standing 
and he will jump right on the Master Emerald!

Boss - Super Mecha Sonic - 8 Hits
-----
Mecha Sonic is powered by the Master Emerald into Super Mecha Sonic! 
Quickly head the most-right near the Master Emerald.

When he powers the Master Emerald, he will fly left and right 
continously in the sky. After that, he will stop at the left side of the 
sky and he will shoot 3 big fire-balls. 

Then, he will land on the ground and become normal but DON'T hit him 
yet. Once he lands, he will spin and head to the Master Emerald but he 
didn't power it yet. 

Once he stop moving, hit him immediately ONE TIME and when he jumps, hit 
him ANOTHER time and that makes two hits. More than that and you will 
lose rings.

Repeat the above process until you hit him 6 times. Once he powers up, 
he will fly in the sky like normal. Then, he will stops and shoots green 
rings in almost every direction. 

Then, when he comes down, he will become normal and you MUST hit him at 
that time ONCE. He will fly up and become Super Mecha Sonic and will use 
the 'green ring technique' so when he lands again and becomes normal, 
give him another hit and he will be electrified.

You WIN! Then, the whole place will fall and Knuckles will land on the 
Tornado with Sonic controlling it! He will give Sonic a thumbs-up and 
grins at him (with the ever annoying grin during Sonic's and Tails' 
Adventure). 

Then, the Master Emerald is put back at the Angel Island and restore it. 
When the credits is rolling, you'll see a different picture and it's 
quite cool! I won't tell you, find it yourself.

The End of Knuckles' Adventure and congratulations for finishing the 
game.

The special stages are quite easy if you know what to do.

[6.1] About Special Stages
-------------------------------------

There are two kinds of Special Stages: the Big Ring to go to special 
stage to obtain the Chaos Emeralds and the Super Ring to obtain the 
Super Emeralds.

You can only obtain the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 zones 
which are Angel Island Zone, Hydrocity Zone, Marble Garden Zone, 
Carnival Night Zone, IceCap Zone and Launch Base Zone (there are no Big 
Ring in Launch Base Zone, I think).

You must get ALL the Chaos Emeralds. Why? Once you reach Sonic & 
Knuckles zones and enter the Super Ring, all your Chaos Emeralds will 
come out and become a Super Emerald. So, if you miss out any Chaos 
Emeralds, your plan to become Hyper Sonic, Super Tails or Hyper Knuckles 
will fail.

[6.2] Advice on All Special Stages
-------------------------------------

Here's a good piece of advice for all special stages as I can't describe 
each and every of them. If you have problems, please e-mail to me which 
special stage you have problem and describe it (example: The special 
stage is at night and the blue spheres are in groups mostly and it's at 
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 zones.)

 Most important is the blue spheres and you must get ALL of them to get 
the Chaos Emerald or Super Emerald. 

 DO NOT touch the red spheres as it will let you quit the level 
immediately. The star sphere will bounce you back and it's quite 
dangerous SOMETIMES. 

 The yellow sphere will allow any character to jump. When you outline 
certain blue sphere group, all the blue sphere will transform into 
rings. Sometimes, you will outline in an odd way to make rings.

 Once you succeed in collecting all the rings in a special stage, you 
can get Perfect which rewards you score of 50,000.

 At certain special stages, you must jump over red or star spheres to 
collect blue spheres.

 Practise makes Perfect so remember that always.

Start off with Sonic 3 & Knuckles (not in full screen mode) and go to 
Angel Island Zone in the beginning. Then, jump on any vine with any 
character and press left, left, left, right, right, right, down, down, 
down buttons. Then, a ring sound confirms this cheat.

Then, click the file menu and choose restart the game. When the title 
screen appears, press the down button two times and the sound test 
appears.

Who is Sonic?

You don't know? It's an official SEGA mascot since 1991 and it's blue, 
fast and a hedgehog. In the beginning, SEGA don't have any mascot until 
this blue streak became popular and a great sucess to most people. 
That's how more and more games of it are created and of course, more 
major leading characters are created like Miles 'Tails' Prower, Knuckles 
the Echidna and more.

How do I past the the part in Carnival Night Zone Act 2?
-------------------------------------

This place can be maddening and some people can just bang the game out 
of fury. The trick is very simple once you learned it. I have many 
questions regarding this so I put this section up.

Just jump on the red, bouncing thing (the only obstacle that prevents 
you from going further) and press the up button when it goes up and the 
down button when it goes down. Then, when it leave enough space for 
Sonic to jump off, do it immediately. Simple, isn't it?
