<->Daniel Mason: He helped a lot in figuring out how to play the multiplayer
mostly how to set up the ports, and we also play quite alot
                 under the call name Shaolin01.

<->Mike Mason: In the beginning, he helped a lot with the characters and he
also
explained some things that I didn't understand. He is good at
the
main game, and I have yet to get him to play in multiplayer.

<->CJayC: He has made Gamefaqs one of the top gaming sites in the entire world,
which is pretty amazing because he runs it all by himself. He is also
a pretty good writer in my opinion, along with his amazing ASCII art.

<->DingoJellybean: He was the co-inspiration to write my first FAQ, along with
Yee Seng Fu. He is an extremely prolific writer, and also,
Helped explain txt. form to me when I was brand new.

<->Tom Clancy: He write all of the Rainbow Six Squadron books, he is a great
writer, and I would imagine he is pretty decent at his own video
               games aswell.

<->Dallas: Another inspiration of mine to write, also helped a lot when I was
brand new, aswell as on the message boards when I needed some help.

<->HLapierre: He has been a huge help, for the last 7 months that I have been
writing for Gamefaqs, always willing to answer questions and
such.

<->Myself: Typed it, compiled most of the Info.

Hello, if your reading this, you must be a fan of Rainbow Six
One of the best PC games ever made. Plus,if your reading this
You obviously needed help or your just felt like reading this
anyways. A fore warning - Do not email me telling me that you
think that my walkthrough of a level should be changed to how
you think it should be, I get enough of that already, so I am
now no longer taking contributions, I would also like to give
another thankyou to everyone who did contribute. Thanks Again
-
The game itself is based on Tom Clancy's novels about special
Forces teams going into terrorist situations. I am amazed how
Realistic the scenarios are, they are extremely realistic and
This isn't your average 4 shots to kill a guy, 1 shot kills I
Also don't think people realize the graphicalness of the game
It is very gory, so if you're a squeamish person, get another
Game! This is my favorite PC game of all time.

Training Mode
+~+~+~+~+~+~+

Training - In training you may choose from a variety of options.

Obstacle Course: In this course you will practice your basic controls and
movements. This mode will also help you get ready to have one hand one the
mouse and one one the key board, not quite a PSX is it? :)

Gun Range: Ah the gun range, obviously a place to practice firing guns.
Actually it serves much more of a purpose than that. This mode will help you
learn the range of your guns, not to mention accuracy. In this
Mode you should practice reloading and changing weapons so you don't
Screw up under pressure.

Pulsed Reticle Variables: This is practice for being able to preform while lots
of possible distractions are taking place.
- Hearing distress over the radio
- Watching teammates die
- Watching a hostage be executed
- Hearing an alarm go off etc.

You will need to learn how to preform under all of these circumstances
Before you can play at your full potential( you'll just get used to it)

Demo Course: This is the practice of using bomb kits, and throwing grenades.
Even if that's isn't your expertise, it may come in handy.
- I would recommend you take this course

City Street: This is probably the most fun training level. You walk down a
street, knocking down targets as they appear in the windows.
This is great for reflexes and even more for speed+accuracy.
- Kind of reminds you of Clint Eastwood doesn't it? :)

Kill House Single: You go into a single room and breach and clear the door. You
are expected to disarm(kill) all Tangos, while not being shot or killing a
hostage at the same time.
- Good practice for learning how to enter a room.

Kill House Double: This is really the same thing as the single except you clear
two rooms, disarm the Tango's and free the Hostage.

Kill House Office: This one is where it starts to pick up a little, so
Make sure you plan wisely, and for god's sake be careful. Remember. This is
where you learn about go codes, so pay attention!!!

Kill House 2 Story: This is where you will need your knowledge from all of the
other training levels, cause this is the grand daddy of'em all.
You will devise a plan to enter a much larger and hostile enviroment. If you
pass this without losing any team members, I would say that you are ready for
the show.
- Don't get discouraged, it took me like 6 times to beat this mission.

Weapons Guide
#*#*#*#*#*#*#

R6 has a great selection of pistols and primary firearms, I did this guide to
help choose the best gun for the mission.

PISTOLS

Heckler & Koch MK23

This gun is the handgun of choice for the U.S special forces. Its
A .45 Caliber and is extremely reliable. It has average stopping power
And is quite accurate.

Heckler & Koch M23 - SD

This weapon has a flash silencer, specially designed for Rainbow. It
Flash silencer means it eliminate flash visibility. Not quite as accurate but a
whole lot quieter than the MK23.

Heckler & Koch USP

This .40 caliber is lighter than the MK23. It can really
Pack a punch for its size.

Heckler & Koch USP - SD

This silenced .40 caliber is not the silencer of choice for Rainbow.
I would stick with the MK23 - SD.

Beretta 92FS

This little 9mm is deadly at close range, and holds a bigger amount of
ammunition.

Beretta 92FS 9mm - SD

This silenced 9mm is used mainly for recon, though it has a improved flash
visibility.

PRIMARY WEAPONS

Heckler & Koch MP5A2

This is the Rainbow standard gun, it is reliable and and accurate.
It is a 9mm with 3 different speed settings.

Heckler & Koch MP5SD5

This 9mm is silenced so well, you have a better chance of hearing the trigger
get pulled

Heckler & Koch MP5K - PDW

This 9mm sub machine gun is light, and has a folding stock.

CAR - 15

This small assault rifle is powerful despite its appearance. It is used by U.S
and Israeli special forces.

Colt M - 16A2

This is the long range bad boy of the Primary weapons. It really packs a
punch. It easily pierces level ll. armor.

Benelli M1

This 12 gage shotgun is extremely powerful at close range and is very fast for
a shotgun.

Gear Guide
@+@+@+@+@+@

This is just a quick briefing about all the different kinds of gear that you
can wear during your mission.
First, when choosing you gear, think about how strong of armor you need, how
much you will have to run around, and your surroundings. If you keep these in
mind picking your gear is easy.

Black/light
------------
Used for night time recon missions, it has a level 2a body armor which can
stop low powered pistols. It has soft soled rubber boots, use this when you
won't be under a lot of fire.

Black/medium
-------------
This is RAINBOWS default night time assault gear. It consists of level 2
tactical armor and a kevlar helmet which is good for deflecting demolition
debris. The vest can stop most pistol fire, and some sub machine gun.

Black/heavy
------------
This has level three armor extending from the groin up. It stops all gunfire
except high powered rifles. This is especially siuted for night time
operations. Again the Kevlar helmet also stops debris.

Camoflauge/light
-----------------
This is for jungle operations, suited with level 2a armor which is capable of
stopping light pistol fire. It is light weight and used for stealth missions.

Camouflage/medium
-----------------
Level 2 waist length body armor, gives protection from rounds up to .40
Caliber as well as 9mm firearms. This is RAINBOWS standard jungle gear.
It is useful for operations in central and south America, plus Africa.

Camouflauge/heavy
----------------
Level 3 body armor which reflects everything but higher powered rifles. It is a
little bit heavier than the other suits but it also gives much more protection.
This suit also comes with a black night cap/

Desert/light
-------------
Level 2a body armor, used in missions where speed is a major factor. It will
stop some pistol rounds, comes with Nomex balaclava and light weight desert
boots.

Desert/medium
--------------
This is Rainbows standard desert uniform. It has level 2 armor capable of
stopping 9mm and other small caliber fire. It also come with light weight
desert boots.

Desert/heavy
-------------
Consists of level 3 body armor, which stops almost all small arms fire. It comes
with light weight boots and a black cap. It is hotter but gives a lot more
protection from bullets and the desert sun.

Street/light
-------------
This is the urban camo uniform which has a level 2a tactical vest which stops
some pistol fire. It is used when stealth is a main priority, it has soft soled
rubber boots and is used mainly for recon.

Street/medium
--------------
Has a level 2 armor vest stretching to the waist, its Kevlar face mask /helmet
is capable of stopping low powered pistol fire. It is the alternative assault
gear for Rainbow, it to has soft soled boots.

Street/heavy
-------------
Its level 3 body armor vest is capable of stopping all but the higher powered
rifles. Its Kevlar mask is preferred by demolition specialist because it stops
debris. This suit is useful for normal urban missions.

Tan/light
----------
Has a level 2a waist length vest, and is used for stealthy and hot desert
missions because it is so light weighted. It can stop most lower powered pistol
rounds, and includes the standard desert boots.

Tan/medium
-----------
This is the alternative desert assault gear for Rainbow team. It has a level 2
waist length armor vest which can stop most pistol rounds, plus some small sub
machine gun fire.

Tan/heavy
----------
Its level 3 groin to shoulder armor vest is capable of stopping all but the
strongest of rifles. Its helmet is capable of stopping most small pistols and
again is a favorite of demo experts. This version is especially suited for
desert operations.

Urban/light
------------
This is the uniform of a recon specialist,it has soft soled rubber boots.
Armor is strength 2a which can stop low powered pistol fire.
It is very lightweight, with Nomex and Kevlar gloves.

Urban/medium
-------------
Level 2 waste length armor provides protection from all but higher powered
rifles. The kevlar helmet can stop most pistol fire. This is Rainbows standard
urban assault gear. It includes soft soled boots.

Urban/heavy
------------
This uniform is prefered by demolition experts because the kevlar helmet
provides protection from debris. Its level 3 armor from the groin up stops most
gun fire except for high powered rifles.

Woods/light
------------
Useful for forrest operations. 2a armor stops most pistol fire. Comes with a
camo cap as well as Nomex Balaclava, Kevlar gloves and Nomex gloves. Santiago
Arnavisca favors these kinds of uniforms.

Woods/medium
-------------
Waist length level 2 body armor provides protection from up to .40 caliber or
up to 9mm. It is most useful for American and European operations. It is
completed by Nomex and Kevlar gloves.

Woods/heavy
------------
This uniform comes with a level 3 armor vest which stops most gun fire. It
comes with a black night beanie cap. It is bigger and heavier but it give much
more protection than the other uniforms do.

Biosuit
--------
This specially designed combat biosuit has level 2a tactical armor which stops
most small pistol fire, and level IV biohazard containment suit. The joints are
specially reinforced, but operatives must be very
Careful not to comprise the suits integrity.

Specialties
------------
each operative has his or her own trademark specialty. They excel in this
category above all others except for a couple of small exceptions.
This is a definitive list of all the operative specialties

Recon - This is the specialty of sneaking into an area and gathering
information, or the location of something without being detected. Rec-
on experts must be fast and quite, most of them are good with firearms, if
there good with electronics, it makes it even better.

Assault - Assault specialists are basically the G.I. Joes of the mission. They
are extremely good with firearms, and if they're stealthy
They make good snipers. Use them to take out terrorists and to protect precious
cargo.

Command - Only Chavez has this expertise, that is why he has the best
leadership in the game. Command experts are extremely good leaders and will
follow your plan to the line.

Demolition - Probably the most fun job to have, blowing stuff up! Demo experts
are trained for speed in defusing bombs and are usually decent with grenades.
They are also usually better at using door chares too.

Electronics - This is basically being a whiz with electronical things. They go
in and do things with computers and security stuff. They are usually decent
with guns, but some are terrible in all of the other attributes.

Equipment
----------

When you choose your equipment don't just assign the same thing to everyone,
plan out your teams and distribute 1 thing to each team so you don't have to
waste items.

 Flashbang
***********
These are mainly used to breach and clear rooms. They have a stunning flash
which neutralizes tangos ling enough to kill them. This is really the only safe
way to enter a room with hostages in it. Caution, you can stun yourself so
watch out.

 Frag Grenade
**************
This small grenade is just your average grenade like you see on tv. It has a
small blast but can do some damage. Don't stand to close or you will destroy
yourself. If your sure that there are no tangos in a room, toss in a grenade
instead of a flashbang, have some fun.

 Breaching Charge
******************
This is a nifty little device used to open and breach a room at the same time.
You stick one on a door, locked or not. Then click aagin to detonate it. It
blows off the door and flashes a built in flash bang to stun its inhabitants.
The bad thing is you can only carry one.

 Heartbeat Sensor
******************
This is basically used to locate enemy's and hostages. It can tell the
difference between the two. This is very nice to have in battle, just make sure
you have a gun ready, don't get caught trying to shoot an un loaded gun because
when it ran out you started playing with the sensor.

 Demolitions Kit
*****************
Don't leave home without on:) Really all this kit does is speed up the placing
and disarming of explosives. You shouldn't really need one unless you are
really slow.

 Electronics Kit
*****************
Basically, it does the same thing the demo one does but for the electrical bugs
and security camera rewriting and things of that sort.
But if you have a good Electrical expert you only need it a couple times.

 Lockpick Kit
**************
If you don't have a shotgun or breaching charge you have to pick the lock.
This kit speeds that process up considerably. Some doors are not pickable
without it.

Armor ------------- Have all of the operatives wear URBAN MEDIUM.

Walkthrough

The gold teams mission will be to clear out all of the terrorists in the
building. I call this the welcoming committee. They are going to go in and
clear a path for the teams with objectives to use to get to their hostage
situations.
The gold team will be covering the first floor of the embassy. On the
waypoint locator, at the planning screen, have them go everywhere on the first
floor, clearing any terrorists that come into their paths. Put the speed on
normal, so they don't get slaughtered rushing into a room. All of the waypoint
codes for the gold team will be CHARLIE. Just press this as many times as they
have waypoints and they will cover all of there highlighted ground.

The green team has the exact same job as the gold team, except they will be
clearing out the terrorists on the second floor of the embassy building. This
is a little more complicated than the first floor, because all of the hostage
are on the second floor. So you have to put them in these exact locations.
At the waypoint screen, in the planning phase, set all of the green teams
waypoints to CHARLIE, they will be acting at the same time as the gold team.
Have them set at safety speed, not only so they don't rush into hostile fire,
also so they don't alert the hostage guards.
Have them clear all Tango's out in the open, and patrol the hallways, but do
not enter any rooms, what so ever. The hostage teams will be able to breach and
clear these rooms, they only need a path so that they can get there.
Once this task has been preformed, have both the gold and the green teams
exit the embassy building the same way that they came in. So they will have
cleared a giant circle in the embassy building.

* When these teams are leaving, have the blue team enter and rescue the
ambassador. Once they are out, have the red team go in and retrieve the staff
worker. This will all have to be timed that that the teams exit and enter at
the correct time. Make sure you double check your plan. *

Your first concern should be getting the ambassador and his staff member to
safety, then take out the remaining Tango's. You don't want to let the
terrorists find him, if they do they'll kill him. The staff member will be held
hostage, so you don't have to worry about that. The ambassador will always be
hiding on the floor of his office on the 2nd
floor. The staff members location will be different most of the time, but it is
usually upstairs.
You should be controlling the blue team, because it will be rescuing the
ambassador and the staff member. Plus that you can't afford for any
Of the members of this group to get killed, especially Chavez. This team should
enter the embassy building through the porch, which is located in the garden on
the side of the house. Once inside the embassy, get upstairs as fast as you
can, then once you find the ambassador, wait with him until the rest of the
building has been cleared of all terrorists.
Once this has been done, take the ambassador out of the building the exact
same way that you came in. Turn on your radar just to make sure no Tango's got
missed. Then leave the embassy, and run down the street
Going right. Make sure your radar is on so you don't cross the yellow line that
finish's the mission, unless your on recruit. Then you can cross over line. If
not, wait there protecting the ambassador. There shouldn't really be anything
to protect him from, but always becareful.

* Once that is done, switch over to the red team, they will be getting the
staff member *

The red teams job is to rescue the staff member, from the terrorist who
guarding her, and then to escort her out to where the blue team is already
waiting for you to finish off the mission. If the staff member gets killed, you
will have to redo the mission, so be very cautious when you breach and clear
the room she is being held in.
You should enter through the side door on the right, watch out, there way
still be terrorists inside of the building. You are going to have to search for
the staff member, because she is not all that easy to find. When you do find
her, make sure you turn on your radar before you enter the room to kill the
terrorist. This way you will be able to see where exactly in the room he is. I
wouldn't bother using a flashbang, I would just should him and go.
Once you have the staff member in your custody, make sure that you don't go
to fast, or she will get lost, and it takes forever to fing her again. Take her
out the same way that you entered the embassy, stay on your guard in case of
loose Tango's.
Then take her to the same spot as the ambassador, except when you get there,
cross the yellow line, and the mission will be over, It's like going out the
final door on Goldeneye, then all of the mission stats will appear, and you'll
find out if and how many men were injured/K.I.A
If you completed the mission without anyone dying, go on to the next level.
If you completed the mission, but lost any of your team of operatives, I would
recommend that you redo the level. You may need them later. If Chavez died, you
have to redo the level, he is vital to your completing the game.

MISSION 2 OPERATION:
COLD THUNDER
04.15.00 0200

Mission Orders:
Hutu rebels have seized an abandoned Colonial villa. They are holding the
research team hostage. You will be taken in on a helicopter, there are reported
rebel camps all through out the area. Dr. Catherine Winston is among those who
are trapped inside.

Mission Objectives:
1. Rescue Dr. Winston
2. Rescue WHO doctor

( Dr. Winston is a leading expert on Filoviruses. )

Hostage Data
------------
Recruit - 1 Hostage
Veteran - 2 Hostages
Elite - 3 Hostages

TEAM ROSTER:
This mission doesn't call for very many operatives, it is a quick in and out
mission. You will have a group of 2, and then 2 other groups of 1 operative
each. All operatives will need to move swiftly, this is a recon mission, no one
should be injured.

Teams:

Blue Team P. Gun S. Gun Slot 1 Slot 2
--------- ------ ------ ------ ------

Gold Team
---------
Raymond MP5-SD 9mm-SD P. Mag P. Mag

Armor - Camo/Light

Walkthrough:

First of all, right at the beginning of the mission, you want to turn on your
radar, it will really help in this level. You are also going to want to turn on
your night vision, this way you will be able to make out terrorists in the
dark. There is lots of brush and light scrubs, use them to your advantage, take
cover and silently kill the enemy.
The blue team, the only two man team, is going to be the team clearing out
the Tango's like the Gold team did in the last level.
They will be clearing a path for the other teams and the hostages to escape
from. Kinda like in Vietnam, they would have jets wipeout an area, so they
could go about freely, well that's kinda what your doing.
At the waypoint screen, at the planning phase, have the blue team go up the
front path, and then go right, to take out the guy at the camp.
Then have them sweep around to the left towards the building, clearing any and
all terrorists that they encounter. Then have them cut down into the
underground porch on the left of the building, kill the tango and then wait
there.

* You will not play as the blue team, you wait on Yacoby and Raymond at the
beginning of the level. The red team has such an easy task, you really
shouldn't have to worry about it. *

* All of the blue teams waypoints should be Delta, count the number of
waypoints and then press Delta that many time to complete their whole task.
Once this is done switch over to Yacoby on the red team. *

It is the red teams job to infiltrate the actual building once an outside pat
is cleared. Red team isn't actually going to rescue the hostages, you are only
going to take out all of the terrorists inside of the building. At the waypoint
screen, time it so that once blue team is done, red team goes staight to the
outside of the building.
All you will have to do is get them there, because this is where you will
take over. Go into the building through the side where you left the blue team
waiting. Enter with caution, there are lots of guys inside of this part of the
level.
First, clear out the bottom story, use your radar and night vision to enhance
your vision, so that you don't get shot in the back. You are using a silenced
weapon so don't worry about attracting attention with your gun fire. Once you
have cleared the first story go up to the second. Be cautious not to harm
either of the hostages while clearing rooms.
After all of the hostages are dead inside the building, make sure that they
are ALL dead. Then have Yacoby wait with the blue team. Now switch over to
Raymond on the gold team and have her come and pick up the hostages.
Gold team only needs an entry waypoint since you will be controlling it from
the very starting point of the level. After you have picked both of the
hostages, go back to where you started, the yellow line, and cross it, your
stats will come up, and you will have completed the mission.

MISSION 3 OPERATION:
ANGEL WIRE
06.25.00 0530
North Sea

Mission Orders:
Members of the Phoenix, a radical environmentalist group have taken over the
north sea drilling rig. The terrorists have planted explosive devices on the
rig and are threatening to detonate it if their demands are not met. You must
defuse these bombs, and kill those radical idiots whose planted them.

Mission Objectives:
1. Prevent bomb detonation
2. Rescue oil rig workers

TEAM ROSTER
- You are going have a team of 3 operatives, and then two pairs of other
operatives. The main team, the larger one, will have a demolition expert with
them to defuse the bomb. While it is being defused, the other two operatives
must protect him/her.

Armor - Urban Medium for all operatives.

Walkthrough:

Blue team has one of the most crucial jobs of the entire mission. They are
responsible for disarming the bombs. This is why it is also crucial that Chavez
still be alive to conduct it.
Have them begin in tower 3, at the SW part of the oil rig. Go to level seven
and wait. If the bombs are not disarmed properly and in time you will fail the
mission, so you don't have any time to be messing around between waypoints.
Finding the bombs is the part your on your own for. But I can tell you that
they are in towers 3 and 4. To disarm them you will need a demolition kit, and
a demo expert. Mcallen is one of the best, so if you cover him he can get the
job done.
The green team has kind of a more fun mission objective, they are the hostage
rescue/recovery team. The hostages will be in tower 3. They are guarded by one
tango, and there will be several others nearby. Try to kill him with one shot
so that you don't exert a lot of attention upon yourself.
Once the hostages are cleared from the guard, make sure that there are no
remaining tango's in the area. Cause you don't want the hostages getting shot,
now do you? WELL?!
After you have made sure the coast is clear, take them to what I call the
ending line, or the line on your radar that once you cross it, it ends your
mission. This is why blue team has to be done before you get the hostages, so
then you can go once you have them.
The gold team has an equally important job. They must reach and then guard
the bomb detonators. If the tango's are alerted to blue or green teams presence
they will try to detonate the bombs, so get there as quick as you can.
Once you are there, when you are guarding them, keep out your primary gun.
This is just incase any stray tango's find there way over to the detonators,
and you have out a pistol, and he has a sub machine gun, that would not work
out to well.
Try to kill all of the tango's before you take the hostages out in the open,
I know in this mission you are a little pressed for time, but
If they die, it doesn't matter. Also, if a team member is killed, restart the
mission, especially if it is Chavez.
I would also recommend that you make use of the radio, to kind of ease your
nerves a little bit. Pressing the S button will call for an all teams status
report.

MISSION 4 OPERATION:
SUN DEVIL
 08.03.00 0630
 Brazil

Mission Orders:
Ramon Calderon, a drug lord well known in the area, has had several American
and Brazilian workers kidnapped from a research center in the amazon
rainforest. Since you can not raid the house directly, you will start your
mission on the road leading to his very well armed home.

Mission Objectives:
1. Kill Ramon Calderon.
2. Rescue American and Brazilian Workers.

Team Roster:
Blue Team P. Gun S. Gun Slot 1 Slot 2
--------- ------ ------ ------ ------

Burke M-16A2 92FS P.Mag P.Mag

Armor - Black Heavy for all operatives.

Walkthrough:

This mission is quite possibly one of the funnest on the entire game,
basically, once the hostages are out of the way, you get to run around shooting
like a crazy man, which is a change from some of the more strict missions you
have gone through already. Now this doesn't mean that you can go getting ANYONE
killed. Especially Chavez and Hanley and Haider.
I usually like to have Chavez conduct and lead the more important parts of
the mission, which in this case I think killing Calderon is priority 1, but
that is to dangerous, so I have sent Haider and Hanley to take care of him. And
Chavez is going to be heading up the hostage rescue situation. Walther and and
Burke, are just there for good measure, kind of the do what is needed guys of
the mission.
Now to concentrate on Haider and Hanley, they are both armed quite well,
atleast good enough to get the job that is needed done, Calderon though, is
packin some serious heat, which is why I didn't want Chavez facing him, because
if I did something stupid, my best guy is dead. Proceed around all corners with
caution, because he is waiting around one of them. That is why I put in the
heartbeat censor, so you shouldn't have to much of a problem.
Chavez and Bogart, two of your elite, are the hostage rescue team. They have
the second most important job in my opinion. The hostages are in the lowest
part of the drug lords house, I guess its basement or something of that sort.
Have Walther and Burke come with you atleast finding it so you don't get all
shot up. Once you have killed all the terrorists on you way in just go out the
exact way you came in, and you shouldn't be bothered by any unfriendly people.
Walther and Burke are two good, all around guys, they are both armed very
well, as they are the real work horses of the mission. They are going to escort
Chavez and Bogart to the place the hostages are, or atleast while your finding
it. Don't be afraid to let them use some firepower, they both have 2 extra
slots of ammunition.
This should not be that tough a mission, but do not under estimate Ramon
Calderon, he is a savage killer, with no regard for your life or any of your
men. If you should happen to run into him with Burke and Walther, make sure
they protect Chavez and Bogart, but with the kind of ammo they have, it
shouldn't be to much of a problem. That is why you might want to make sure that
Hanley and Haider have killed him before you start your hostage search.

MISSION 5 OPERATION:
GHOST DANCE
08.27.00 1830
Barcelona

Mission Orders:
A WorldPark ride about pirates has been taken under control by a terrorist
group, holding several of its riders captive. You will have access, and police
and security have sealed off the ride from the rest of the park.

Mission Objectives:
1. Rescue Hostages.

Team Roster:

Blue Team P. Gun S. Gun Slot 1 Slot 2
--------- ------ ------ ------ ------
Chavez MP5-SD5 USP-SD P.Mag Flashbang
Bogart MP5-SD5 USP-SD P.Mag P.Mag
Price MP5-SD5 USP-SD P.Mag S.Mag

Armor - Black Light for all operatives.

Walkthrough:
This mission is much simpler than I had first imagined it would be, so I
decided to try a different approach, after I did it the usual way. I though,
what If I just take in a very small group of excellent firearms handlers, and
slowly takeout the terrorists, and have them all dead before they even know
what happened. And this actual worked much better than taking in 3 teams if 2
each.
All guns on this mission must be silenced, that is why the MP5-SD was chosen,
but the pistol is really your choice. Chavez has been equipt with flashbangs,
but they are only for emergencies, do not just use them for any occasion, they
draw lots of attention.
The way I did it, left a lot of ground un-covered by any law enforcement, but
it doesn't matter because the terrorists are all guarding a spot, so they
shoulding just happen to be walking around and catch you. There are 2
terrorists that are viewably guarding the hostages, but there is also a guy up
on the mountain to the right once you enter the pirate ship room.
The way I got to the pirate ship room, was very simple. Just go down through
all of the things used to make the lines for the park visistors, and go as you
would if there was a ride there and you were getting on, except theres not, so
just get into the water. Follow the water and ships track that it moves on, and
that should take you all the way to the hostages.
You will go through lots of different sections of the ride, but never get out
of the water, just keep following that track your on. There is a guard in one
of the sections, either the second or the third, right around there, so go
through them all very carefully. You'll know when you have gotten to the pirate
ship room where the hostages are being held because it opens up tremendously,
and you should see the ship, or at least one of them. Use you zoom scope to
take the two guards you can see out before they know your there.
Once that is done, slowly move into the room, and be ready for the sniper guy
up on the right side, usually one of your guys sees him and take shim out for
you. Now your going to have to go up to the hostages and change your status to
escort so they'll follow you. Go out exactly the way you came in, nothing
should change, and you'll get them all out safely, although it does take a
while because they are very slow.

MISSION 6 OPERATION:
BLUE SKY
Hungary

Mission Orders:
On the border between Hungary and Slovakia a group known as Phoenix has strong
holded a dam, bombs are all inside the dam, so if your seen, kaboom.

Mission Objectives:
1.Prevent Detonation
2.Rescue Roland Kunst

Team Roster:

BLUE TEAM Weapon Secondary Slot 1 Slot 2
               ------ --------- ------ ------

Price MP5-SD5 M23-SD Frags P.Mag

RED TEAM Weapon Secondary Slot 1 Slot 2

Bogart MP5-SD5 M23-SD FlashBangs P.Mag
Hanley MP5-SD5 M23-SD Frags P.Mag

GREEN TEAM Weapon Secondary Slot 1 Slot 2
               ------ --------- ------ ------
Walther MP5-SD5 M23-SD P.Mag P.Mag
Mcallen MP5-SD5 M23-SD Demo Kit P.Mag

GOLD TEAM Weapon Secondary Slot 1 Slot 2
               ------ --------- ------ ------
Weber MP5-SD5 M23-SD P.Mag P.Mag
Morris MP5-SD5 M23-SD Demo Kit P.Mag

Armor - All operatives wear Urban medium.

Walkthrough:

This mission sounds much harder than it seems. Sure its not easy not having
your presense known when your running around with machine guns, but that is why
EVERY gun on this mission must be silenced. You have lots of good people in
this mission, so you really, really don't want them all blown up this early in
the mission.
Chavez and Price are going to be the team that recovers the hostage Roland
Kunst. They are two of your best, and most self controlled so they shouldn't be
spotted. Keep a hawks eye on your radar, and when your going around corners use
your gun scope to make sure the coast is clear, and if not, clear it. If this
part of the mission cannot be completed the other teams don't matter, because
you'll be dead before they get a chance to disarm the bombs placed by the
tangos.
Bogart and Hanley are nothing more than a clean up crew. But an important one
at that. They will be escorting you with the hostage on your way there, then
they are going to go and meet up with the bomb disarming teams, to provide any
necessary cover. They will also take some different routes and clean up any
Tangos not visible in plain sight. These two are good aswell, so they shouldn't
be spotted either.
Weber and Morris are responsible for disarming one of the bombs, Weber is
well armed, so he should be able to get Morris where he needs to go. It is
possible this may be the team has to disarm more than one bomb, if that is the
case Morris is more than qualified for the Job. A word to the wise, do not
shoot your demo man after he has disarmed the bomb, I have noticed some people
find that comical, but it isnt, very smart, because you WILL need him again.
Walther and Mcallen are responsible for disarming bombs aswell. Make sure
that you don't forget to give them a demolitions kit, or it won't matter how
fast they get there. One of the teams will have to disarm more than one bomb, I
can't remember which, but you have to be ready for anything. Once you have the
bombs done, theres not a whole lot these guys can do, except wait.
Another tip, do not , and I repeat do not let anyone get killed, anyone in
this mission roster will be severely missed. Especially Bogart, Chavez and
Price. Overall, this shouldn't be to hard, but it is a wake up call from the
much weaker missions you were doing before. Good Luck.

MISSION 7 OPERATION:
FIRE WALK
Idaho

Mission Orders:
The Phoenix group is at it again, this time they ar esupposedly operating a Bio
weapons facility. You know what you get to do...

Mission Objectives:
1.Take Leaders Captive.
2.Kill Everyone.

GREEN TEAM Weapon Secondary Slot 1 Slot 2
               ------ --------- ------ ------
Walther M-16A2 " " P.Mag S.Mag
Haider CAR-15 P.Mag S.Mag

GOLD TEAM Weapon Secondary Slot 1 Slot 2
               ------ --------- ------ ------
Weber M-16A2 " " P.Mag S.Mag
Burke CAR-15 P.Mag S.Mag

Armor -
-Teams Blue and Red must wear BIO suits.
-The other 2 teams wear Woods medium.

Walkthrough:

Ok, heres how this is going to work. Obviously the teams wearing bio suits
are going to be the ones who go in and deal with the actual biological
chemicals that are being used in the weapons. If you choose to use blue team,
which I wouldn't recommend, you are going to have to take a more layed back
approach, so you don't end up getting two of your finest shot up. They are both
well armed, but the biosuit has little protection against enemy rounds. Bogart
and Hanley are both good guys, and they aren't as important to you as Chavez
and Price. Eventually you are going to have to draw the line between not
letting good guys do their jobs, and understanding that's what they're here
for, understand.
Heres how the other half of the mission is going to work which ever team you
chose not to let go into the section of the mission I just described. They will
be taking this part of the job. They are going to be entering the other
chemical part of the mission, that's why their wearing biosuits as well. You
can be a little more cunning than you would have been with Chavez than in the
other section. But that doesn't mean you can run around like an idiot and kill
him.
Now you are going to have to choose what you want the other 2 teams to do
because it really doesn't matter which team does what job. One of the teams is
going to go into the remaining building on the premises and kill the rest of
the tangos occupying it. This is a dangerous job, more so than the other they
could be doing, so again you are going to have to choose who you need more out
of the 2 teams that you have selection from.
The other team is going to be guarding a certain area, where I'll let you in
on a secret, the big execs of the tango business are going to be trying to
escape after there facilities are invaded by your forces. So you are going to
have to make sure there sorry butts don't get to far. That is why 1 of you has
been armed with an M-16A2.
This mission is dangerous and very risky to your big operatives, but the
mission itself is very easy, if you time your go codes which I haven't really
gone over a lot but its not really that hard to understand either. I wouldn't
recommend you screw around during this mission either it might cost you your
life. The tangos in this mission are especially dangerous to the 2 operative
teams that are wearing bio suits, so be freaken careful, good luck.

More coming.

 Multiplayer
+++++++++++++
There are several different games that you can play in the multiplayer mode of
R6 as well. They have to do with bases and guns just like the game, what a
coincidence :P

ASSASINATION:
 - In assasination, each team has a leader who is dressed like a civilian. The
object of the game is to invade the other teams base and kill their leader
before they invade and kill yours.

SCATTER ASSASINATION:
This is the exact same game assassination, except instead of staring at your
base with your team, you are all scattered all over the map.

TERRORIST HUNT:
Each team begins at a base, and to win the game you have to kill half of the
terrorists, that doesn't mean you can't pump up the other team though!

SCATTER HUNT:
This is just like terrorist hunt, except you are scattered all over the map
instead of being started in a base.

SAVE YOUR BASE:
In this game, each team starts at a base. To win the game, you have to be the
first to disarm the detonator for your base. Hint, guard the enemy's so that
they can not disarm it.

SCATTERED TEAMS:
This is the basic last man or team standing battle, depending on how many
play. Each player starts scattered on the map rather than at his or her's teams
base.

BRAND NEW MAPS
==============
Shuttle Pad - Good for survival and assassination games, has lots of places to
take cover or hide. This is a very fun new MP map.

Taj Mahal - This is my favorite new edition. There are tons of small rooms to
go in and some long halls for sniping battles. You can also shoot the museum
cases!

Big Ben - This is my least favorite of the new editions. It has some cool
balconies, and a tower base, but it is really more for a 2 or 3 player game,
not my kind of battle.

Forbidden City - This is a really hard but fun new one. All of the buildings
have balconies which are with in sniping range of the other buildings. Hint,
don't tell your friend that, snipe him down!

Capitol Building - This one has it all stairs, lots of smaller rooms,
balconies. There are also lots of long corridor hallways, so watch your back (
you may get sniped ).

Terrorist Maps - These are normal maps, besides the fact that there are
terrorists going around the level besides the other team, oh yeah! Twice the
action.

City Street Large - This is the same place you have the fire + movement
training, you know. Where all of those signs op up. Its kinda small though.

Killhouse 2 - This is where you did your kill house training, except it adds a
second identical kill house so that there are now two total. This can make for
some interesting close combat.

CONNECTING TO MULTIPLAYER
=========================
- To connect to multiplayer games you will have to know the server and host
names, or you could just use the default ones that are in your multiplayer
options menu.

Multiplayer Strategy
====================
Identifying your team: Look in the right corner at the bottom of you screen and
you will see the team identifier. Depending on which team you are on, is what
will show up in the little box.

Movement: Move slowly through levels, until you are aware of your surrounding,
never ever barge out into an intersection alone, it is very risky, and a high
powered gun in the enemies hands means you just lost your life for being dumb.

If you are playing in an organized game, with people you know, try to develop a
strategy, where one guy watches the other. This can be risky with very intense
players, because if you let them get shot, you just know there gonna get you
back. If you aren't familiar or have had any pre-strategy with your team, you
have to take what I call the Clint Eastwood approach, just go in and raise
hell. Keep your gun on single shot, and use the scope when looking down very
long hallways, because if you don't, it usually take a few shots, and he may
get you first. Never, ever gun down a team member, unless he is killing other
members of your team in a hostile fashion, that's a very good way to get thrown
out of the game by the host.
