I. Introduction:

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS GAME WITH THIS README.TXT FILE.

DO NOT INCLUDE THIS GAME IN ANY CD COMPILATION WITHOUT THE WRITTEN PERMISSION OF THE AUTHOR.

II. Game Information:

Qubic is a clone of the arcade hit "Q*Bert" for the Palm Devices.

Inside de Zip file you'll find:

• qubic2x.prc: This is a PalmOS 2.x version for the older Palms (Palm Pilot, Professional, etc.) This version is faster and smaller, but only has support for monochromatic screens.
• qubic3x.prc: This is a PalmOS 3.x version that also has support for color, grayscales screens and better compatibility with newer systems.
• readme.htm: This file.

If you have a Paln III or newer you'll like to install the palmbubbles3x.prc. The 2x version is smaller and usually faster, ideally for devices with fewer memory (m100 etc.)

This game is SHAREWARE if you like it and want to play the full version and make your own custom levels, please register. The register information is located in section IV.

III. How to Play:

Your goal is to guide Q-man and paint all the cubes in the level. To guide him, simply tap (the screen with your stylus) over the destination cube and Q-man will go there.

There is also other objects jumping in the cubes, some will help you (the light coloured ones) and the others will harm you. In the later levels you have to pass 2 times to paint a cube. Also in the levels exist the discs teleporters, step in one and you will be teleported to the top of the level.

The gane pauses automatically when you switch to another application.

At 2000, 5000, you will win an extra life.

At the title screen, you can start a game tapping the screen or just calling the menu and selecting New Game or also you can draw in the graffitti area /N . You can switch sound On/Off at the tittle screen, pressing the page up & Down keys.

There are many different types of objects:

• Dark Stone: When you touch it, you lose a life.
• Gray Stone: When you touch it, you lose a life. Also when it reaches the bottom of the level it transform in a Snake
• Light Stone: When you touch it, the other objects freezes for a period of time.
• Snake: When you touch it, you lose a life. If yo step into a teleporter you can destroy it
• Dinky: Will clear the painted cubes, untill you get him.
• Wurdus: When you touch it, you lose a life.

IV. How to Register:

QUBIC is shareware, if you like this 3 level trial version please register. The registration fee is only U$S 8.- To register safely, simply go to: PalmGear, you will need to send your Hotsynch ID or the name that appears under the Owner section in the Prefs. (Please bear in mind that the case is important)

In the full version you can play all the 64 levels and also you can design your own levels!
