ABOUT / CREDITS
--------------------------------
I've noticed that there are no FAQs about what's new in Pokmon
Crystal and what has changed since Pokmon Gold and Silver so
I decided to write a FAQ on the changes in Pokmon Crystal. I
hope everyone will find this useful. If you wish to use this
FAQ on your site please contact me. Right now these websites
listed below can use my FAQ.

DIFFERENCES
--------------------------------
There are many new additions to Pokmon Crystal as well as
modifications to certain events that occur differently in Crystal
than in Gold and Silver.

1 - Some Pokmon learn different moves, for example; Suicune
learns Aurora Beam at level 41 instead of Bubblebeam.

2 - Pokmon are animated at the start of a battle in Crystal.

3 - When you change or enter to a City or Route, a wooden-like
sign appears at the bottom of the screen telling you what City
or Route you're in.

4 - At the start of the game, you can select either to play as
a boy or a girl.

5 - Some Pokmon are found in different locations.

6 - A new trainer called Eusine will challenge you.

7 - Another new addition to Crystal is the excellent Move Tutor
who appears after you have beaten Red. He appears outside of
Goldenrod City. You need the coin case, for 4000 coins, he'll
teach one of your Pokmon; Flamethrower, Ice Beam or Thunderbolt.

8 - There's a Battle Tower next to Oilvine City, challenge
your skills by battling against trainers and win rare items.

9 - After you free the legendary dogs, Suicune will be outside
in the open fields of Johto.

10 - Trainers will be trading different Pokmon.

11 - When you beat Clair, instead of going to the Dragon Den and
getting the Dragon Fang, you must enter the Dragon Shrine and answer
a series of questions to get the badge.

12 - There is a new radio show which you can win items such as Proteins.

13 - The mystery of the Unown Puzzles can be found once you show
the man a certain item which he requires. Unlock the secrets of the
Unown!

14 - New special items can be received. An 'Odd Egg' is one of them.

15 - Pokmon Crystal unlike Gold and Silver is for Gameboy Color only.

16 - Goldenrod City has a rooftop now and there is a Fountain in
the Bug Catching Contest area.

17 - You'll be able to obtain special Pokmon. for example, an
Extremespeed Dratini.

18 - Some Pokmon look different, i.e. Spinarak is green instead
of purple.

19 - New Pokdex info for every Pokmon.

POKMON POKDEX
--------------------------------
All these Pokdex info are from Crystal and I spent alot
of time typing up them. Please don't steal them.

010 - Caterpie
 * It crawls into foliage where it camouflages itself among
leaves that are the same color as its body.

011 - Metapod
 * This is its pre-evolved form. At this stage, it can
only harden, so it remains motionless to avoid attack.

012 - Butterfree
 * It flits from flower to flower, collecting honey. It
can even identify distant flowers in bloom.

016 - Pidgey
 * It rapidly flaps its wings in the grass, stirring up
a dust cloud that drives insect prey out into the open.

017 - Pidgeotto
 * It slowly flies in a circular pattern, all the while
keeping a sharp lookout for prey.

019 - Rattata
 * This Pokmon's impressive vitality allows it to live
anywhere. It also multiplies very quickly.

023 - Ekans
 * It flutters the tip of its tongue to seek out the
scent of prey, then swallows the prey whole.

039 - Jigglypuff
 * It rolls its cute eyes as it sings a soothing lullaby.
Its gentle song puts anyone who hears it to sleep.

058 - Growlithe
 * It controls a big territory. If it detects an unknown
smell, it roars loudly to force out the intruder.

069 - Bellsprout
 * If it notices anything that moves, it immediately flings
   its vines at the object.

079 - Slowpoke
 * It is always so absent-minded that it won't react,
even if it's flavorful tail is bitten.

132 - Ditto
 * When it encounters another Ditto, it will move faster
than normal to duplicate that opponent exactly.

133 - Eevee
 * Its ability to evolve into many forms allows it to adapt
smoothly and perfectly to any environment.

155 - Cyndaquil
 * The fire that spouts from its back burns hottest
when it is angry. The flaring flames intimidate foes.

175 - Togepi
 * It is considered to be a symbol of good luck. Its
shell is said to be filled with happiness.

185 - Sudowoodo
 * If a tree branch shakes when there is no wind, it's a
Sudowoodo, not a tree. It hides from the rain.

187 - Hoppip
 * It can be carried away on even the gentlest breeze. It
may even float all the way to the next town.

209 - Snubbull
 * In truth, it is a cowardly Pokmon. It growls eagerly
in order to hide its fear from its opponent.
