         Welcome to my FAQ/Translation for Bio Motor Unitron! This game is
      more or less SNK's answer to Pokemon as far as I can tell, except for
      instead of raising monsters, you build and level up a Mech!

         GETTING STARTED
         ===============
          - Translations for the first few menus and character selection.

              This brings up a list of characters to choose from. See "Character
              Selection".

              LOAD GAME
              ---------
              This brings up a list of the files to load.

              GAME OPTIONS
              ------------
              å(Message Speed)
                   Ϥ䤤(Fast)        (Slow)
              Ȥ˥(Battle Animation)
                   ON                  OFF
              ֥ǡΤ(Delete Save Data)
                   ֥ǡ򤱤ޤ

         CHARACTER SELECTION
         -------------------
         The character on the left(ץ쥤䡼) is the Player. The character on
         the right(ѡȥʡ) is your Partner.

         The character races are:
              ҥ塼ޥ(Human)
              ե쥹(Forester/Forest Elf)
              ޥʡ(Mariner)
              Сǥ(Birdeon?)
              ꥶɥޥ(Lizard Man)

         Simply choose the portrait of the gender you want to be for that race.
         The game then sends you to the Name screen...

         NAMING A CHARACTER
         ------------------
         The 4 options on the right are:
              Ҥ餬(Hiragana Characters)
              (Katakana Characters)
              ɤ(Return to Character Selection)
              äƤ(Done)
         Most of you will simply want to name your character using the english
         letters at the bottom of both the "Hiragana" and "Katakana" character
         pages, then choose "Done" to continue on to the game(or naming your
         partner).

         For those of you who care, here are the default names of the characters:
              Human Male - Rod(å)
              Human Female - Lina()
              Forester Male - Chris(ꥹ)
              Forester Female - Leaf(꡼)
              Mariner Male - Zappa(å)
              Mariner Female - Shela()
              Birdeon Male - Feather(ե)
              Birdeon Female - Silphie(ե)
              Lizard Man Male - Carl()
              Lizard Man Female - Pinky(ԥ󥭡)

         Well, hopefully that will cover all the basic translations and get you
         into the actual game. Now to continue...

         ------------------
         This is the place you start the game out at, after you talk to your partner.

              ȥ졼(Trade) - This requires a link cable, so I can't test it.

              -------------------

                        Status Menu

                        饯(Character) - Character Status.
                        ˥ȥ(Unitron) - Unitron Status.
                        (End) - Return to the Camp Menu.

                        Return to overland map
                        ----------------------
                        Brings up 2 options.
                        Ϥ(Yes) and (No). Yes sends you back to the
                        overland map, No sends you back to the Camp Menu.

              Treasure Chests
              ---------------
              Three things happen when you open a chest.

                   1) You recieve money. This is distingushed by a number at
                   least 3 digits in the window the chest brings up.

                   2) You recieve an item. This is distingushed by a line
                   filled text box with no numbers(except in the case of
                   Repair 1, 2, etc. and Tools and such, but those are all
                   small numbers that you would never recieve so little money).
                   In the bottom left of the text box is the item name,
                   reference to my list to know what you got.

                   3) Nothing. This is easy to see, as it is the only of the 3
                   possibilities that only takes up one line in the text box.

         BATTLE TRANSLATIONS
         ===================
          - Translations for the battle menus, and what they do.

              Battle Menu
              -----------
              (Attack) - Bring up list of attacks.
              ƥ(Item) - Use an item.
              㡼(Charge) - Charge EP.
              㤯(Flee) - Run away from the battle.

                   Attack
                   ------
                   Brings up a list of attacks. Attack names correspond with Arm names,
                   so see the "Arm List" further down in this FAQ.

                   Item
                   ----
                   Brings up a list of items. See the "Item List" further down in this FAQ to
                   know what you are using.

                   Charge EP
                   ---------
                   When you are running low on EP use this to get some back.

                   Flee
                   ----
                   This runs from the battle. No translation neccesary, you will know
                   if you escaped or not because you will be back in the dungeon screen.

              Victory
              -------
              Once you defeat the enemy and the battle is won you will see 2 numbers
              surrounded by japanese text. The first number is experience, the second
              is money. If there is a 3rd line of text, the very first set of characters
              on the line is the item you won.

         CHARACTERS
         ==========
         Here is a list of characters you encounter. Because I can not read very fluent

                   Jon is the robot who you talk to in the Arena. I am unaware if he

         ARM DEVELOPMENT LIST
         ====================
         Items can be combined with materials and tools to create other items.
         Simply choose the "Development" option in the Workshop. You first choose
         the base arm, then the material to combine it with, then a good tool to raise
         the chance of succesful combining of the Arm and Material.

         Note that later materials will work in place of the basic ones sometimes, but
         I will list the cheapest/lowest level material that will help the item. Also
         note that while some materials will work to create the same item as the lower
         materials, some will make all new items. I will do my best to make this list
         as easy to read as possible.

         PROGRESSION CHART
         =================
         This is a quick list of "Arm Progression". This can be used a quick
         reference to see what basic Arm becomes what. Consider this a "work in
         progress". Only english names will be used in this chart. As I discover
         items that have multiple "progression paths" I will move them from the
         single to multiple path lists.

         GETTING STARTED
         ===============
         Having a hard time figuring out what to do at the beginning of the game?
         Simply talk to everyone in town, then go back to the Workshop! Most of you
         probably figured this out, but I'd thought I'd go ahead and state it just
         in case someone was having a hard time figuring out what to do.

         STARTING UNITRON COMPARISON
         ===========================
         This is just a quick comparison of the different character's starting
         Unitron equipment. This is so you can decide which of the races is
         more your style. They all start with the same Core and Backpack so I
         didn't list that.

                      Right Arm   Left Arm    Leg
                      ---------   --------    ---
         Human -      B Knuckle   Lancer      H Basic
         Forester - Silk Hand Lancer F Basic
         Mariner - Hydro Gun Hook Claw M Basic
         Birdeon - Hawk Nail Whip B Basic
         Lizard Man - Ogre Hand Axe L Basic

         THE ARENA
         =========
         What does the Arena do you ask? Well, in the arena you fight against other
         Unitrons to gain ranks. The objective is to reach the rank "Master of
         Masters".
                    GRADE  |  RANK
                   ----------------
                        E  |  Rookie
                        D  |  ???
                        C  |  ???
                        B  |  Duke
                        A  |  Lord
                        S  |  High Master
                 Champion  |  Master of Masters

         HIDDEN TECHNIQUES
         =================
         Wow! I was going through talking to people so I could go back to the arena,
         and while talking to Elmut(old guy in woods), he asked me which of two special
         techniques I wanted! I wasn't really sure what was going on, so didn't write
         anything down, but will start a new game and rush back to that point to see
         how exactly to do it. Anyways, he gave me the option of "Nova" and another
         technique whose name eludes me right now. These are extra techniques that are
         REALLY powerful you can use in battle without equipping anything, in addition
         to your standard Arm attacks. I will get more info on this as soon as possible...

         DUNGEON DESCRIPTIONS
         ====================
         Фµ(Ishi No Meikyuu) - The Stone Shrine, home of the Lizard Men.
         ΰ(Kaze No Iseki) - The floating castle of the Birdeons.
         Ĥβϭ(Ao No Kairou) - An island in the sea, home of the Mariners.

         DUNGEON MAPS
         ============
         The dungeon map is chosen by random out of a series of maps for that floor or
         area. Map sets that can be chosen are different for each floor/area.
