| Introduction /
|______________/

Alright, this is the very first FAQ that I will write so don't be
surprised if my spelling is simply horrible. I will try to make it as
detailed as possible so you won't bomb me with e-mails like it happens
with other FAQ writers. The reasons for having me choose to write my
first FAQ on Harvest Moon 64 (If anybody cares at all) are pretty
unusual. I used to play a game with LEGO figures that was very similar
to Harvest Moon. Once I knew there was an actual video game on the
subject I couldn't wait to get it. But I got shocked when I knew it
would only be for Super Nintendo (SNES); I only had a regular Nintendo
at that time (NES). By the time a got my Super Nintendo I was very
disappointed since the game wasn't in stores anymore and I couldn't
afford a Game Boy to play the version for that system. I finally got my
N64 as a birthday present. All I had to do was to wait for Harvest Moon
64. I got HM64 for Christmas, only three days after the game had been
released.

I really enjoy this game a lot (It reminds me of the first time I played
Super Mario RPG, which was the first RPG I played in my life). It does
have some weak points like every game out there. I wouldn't really call
this game a masterpiece since it is only a simple farming game made by a
company dedicated to making many fishing games... Anyway, the point is
that I love simple games like Harvest Moon 64. But the Final Fantasy
series have to be my favorite games of all time. Especially FFV and
FFVII.

As I said before, I am a new writer at GameFAQ's, which really isn't a
surprise anymore for many people. I do have a busy daily schedule so I
can not stay until two or three in the morning writing this FAQ like
somebody I know (Read the GameFAQ's front page and take a guess). If
this FAQ ever gets published, you can count on me writing again because
I know it will be worth the effort. If any GameFAQ writers are reading
this, please send me any recommendations for my FAQ. I will write more
than what you need to know in this FAQ so that you can get to understand
some deep concepts of the game.

I ended up writing FAQ's because of a reason most FAQ writers might
know, It's Fun! I would always look at search engines looking for help
on one of my games (It takes hours sometimes to get a half-decent page
of information). But most of the pages where just a bunch of reviews for
the games (I could name I few but it would be immoral to do so).
Sometimes I would find a page that had a lot of helpful information on
it but it would take ours to download especially if it had a lot of
JavaScript (whatever it's called). I ended up with GameFAQ's after a
while. Quick search, the best help, the best reviews, the fastest to
load, the easiest to join, and the one page that has never failed to
give me what I'm looking for. The only drawbacks in this site are the
negative comments on the message boards. Some of these should be deleted
as a personal opinion.

I would like to give special thanks to a few FAQ writers like
marshmallow and Dallas for inspiring me on writing my first FAQ. Sorry
to make a real big deal out of this but I can't help it. I can't believe
that finally a page as appeared in which everyone can participate in the
easiest way there is. Thanks to everybody for your help. I'm expecting
more of it (Hey I read the paragraph above and I can't believe I could
write stuff that mushy! Kind of disturbing actually). Anyway, on with
the FAQ.

Well, this is just a section were I will write down a few thoughts that
come to my mind.

I added a new section called "How to make the annoying fun." It is a
section that I have been looking for in many FAQs but I never seem to
find it! I believe that many players make their own games within the
game. Games such as "How fast can you get from Midgar all the way to
Costa del Sol" in FFVII. I come up with these games all the time and I
love them. Harvest Moon was no exception to this. If anybody can come up
with a contest like this one, feel free to e-mail it to me.

Good lord! I just sent the update for this FAQ and I forgot to proofread
my work. I just read this FAQ and I can't believe the incredible amount
of grammatical errors in it. I just fixed most of them but I will not
send two updates on one day (sorry, that would not look right). If
anybody finds silly mistakes in this FAQ, please e-mail me. I don't want
my first FAQ to be the worst. Thanks!

I started working on my walkthrough but I still don't like the idea of
it. I will make a full walkthrough for the game but I still think that
it is a very pointless thing to do. I mean come on! Harvest Moon 64 can
be beaten in a million different ways. Why would somebody want to finish
it the same way I did? Well, I still started it. I can only hope for
some people to realize why I feel uncomfortable writing it.

I love this FAQ! I enjoy writing everything on it. I only think that
it's wrong to write a walkthrough for it but I still enjoy writing it! I
will update this FAQ on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays. I have a lot
of things to do on the other days. Check this FAQ every weekend and be
amazed at how big it will grow!

I'm sick today, so am not in school for this reason. I updated my FAQ
and I still can't believe the amount of grammar mistakes it has. I
really want this FAQ to be the best one there is for this game but it's
a big challenge. Please keep sending letters that point out grammatical
errors so that I can fix them and make this FAQ even better.

Has anybody taken a look at the recipes? Man! How do people come up with
these things? Has anybody ever heard of potato pancakes? Well, just a
comment I wanted to share. I could list a few more but I think it would
be better if you looked at them yourself.

Believe it or not this FAQ is a great responsibility. But when is it
going to end? I am afraid I do not know the answer to this question but
I will update this FAQ until my walkthrough is done. I am still on the
first year but I am hopping to finish it by tomorrow.

I have a lot of work to do on this FAQ. Here's my plan just in case you
are wondering what to expect from me.

-Finish my Walkthrough all the way to the third spring.
-Add more the "The Land" section.
-Add more to the "How to make the annoying fun" section.
-Make more sections that are different and that you don't find anywhere
else! I enjoy writing those and I am sure many enjoy reading them.
-I want this to be the best FAQ on Harvest Moon there is. I will be
adding tons of hints and tips once I finish the walkthrough. The
"Secrets" will have a lot added into it. I am still looking for a few
recipes (I found all of the ones in the list by myself) but I think I
will get them soon. I am also looking for the pictures I'm missing.

By the way, somebody mentioned that potato pancakes do exist! Well,
could anybody tell me what "miso" is? It's written on some recipes and I
have no idea what is.

Wow! I just noticed that people actually read these comments! I would
like to thank everyone for supporting me so much. This FAQ is a success
thanks to those people. My FAQ is now over twice the size of the first
version. I am hopping to triple it soon with useful information. By the
way, Charlene Cosman told me that "miso" is a sweet been paste. Well,
what do you think of "Eggplant and Miso Paste?" I hate eggplants.

Well, thanks to everyone! Big update this Saturday!

At no point will I ever try to offend anybody when I am writing this
FAQ. Ever since this FAQ has grown so much I've been getting at least
thirty letter per day. I am a very busy man and I am afraid I cannot
answer all of your letters. I will post any questions that I get under
the "Questions" section. I said that I didn't mean to offend anybody
because I've been getting a lot of letters telling me to erase my
comments on the "Potato Pancakes". Apparently many found those
offensive, I apologize.

Come on people! Every time I open this FAQ to update it I end up finding
tons of silly mistakes. I get letters that correct the information but I
haven't gotten that many letter that mention grammar or any other
mistakes. Do you all not notice those mistakes or is everyone too lazy
to write me a letter telling me to fix them. By the way, I would also
like to know what everybody thinks of having me update this FAQ 3+ times
a week?

I would like to thank everybody who has contributed to my FAQ so much. I
really spent a lot of time and it took effort to write this FAQ. This
FAQ is now one of the best thanks to your support. And by the way, I
just had some mushroom salsa. It tasted great!

I woke up on the left side of the bed this morning so I didn't feel much
like updating. But o well, I'm almost done with my walkthrough so I
decided to add a few days. Why do people feel like this sometimes? Well
I have noticed that the designers of Harvest Moon 64 might have
considered adding something like this. Your baby and the people can
suddenly just have that "leave me alone" feeling. I've seen this happen
in my game many times. Sometimes my chickens don't lay eggs even when I
feed them.

Good day everyone! Here's another decent update! Well, I just want you
all to check out the new "Mysteries" section! It's incredibly fun to sit
down and think of these kinds of sections for your FAQ! Thanks a lot to
John B. for the idea! I hope some of you readers find it useful!

Every time I check my mail I get a question which I don't know the
answer to. Why? No, really, I am in my sixteenth autumn and I thought I
had it all. That is one more reason to love this game. You never know
what will happen and you can't get it all the first time. I just covered
my fields with grass last summer and a couple that are not in my
characters list came by to take a look at them. They started getting
romantic and eventually they kissed. I had no idea that this happened. I
still believe that not everything has been uncovered in the game yet.

Yep, this FAQ is done. In fact, it's been done since my last update.
From now on this FAQ will not be updated so often like it normally was.
Why? Well, there's other games out there that really need a FAQ. Now I
will only update this FAQ whenever my I get enough mails in computer
with questions, answers, suggestions, and any other kind of
contributions. Oh yea, now that this FAQ is done, it's time to look back
at it and check for any mistakes. Any emails that I get telling me
mistakes will be perfect.

PLEASE read the questions section. I know many people are going to be
mad about this ridiculous update but I have my reasons.

Hey, I got an awesome letter from a reader. I am too lazy to rewrite it
in my own words so I will only copy it and paste it (I'll fix the
grammar too). Here it is:

I was just running my horse (he likes it when I make him run... get it?
Get it!? ...sorry) and I see the little dialogue box pop up... my wife
wanted us to go somewhere, and still riding my horse, I talked to her
and we left for whatever reason ...Bamboo Float or something like that.
Anyhow, I get the "This was a good day etc." message after that and when
I wake up and eat, my horse was by my bed. I could get on him and run
around, but I couldn't exit with him. When I dismounted, he vanished
from under me. He wouldn't come when I called outside, and here's the
kicker: When I whistle for him inside the house, I hear his voice... but
he's nowhere to be seen. G'huh?!

There haven't been any horse races lately... but when it happens, we'll
see what happens, eh?

--- Tybalt

I loved this letter because it is actually long! I mean, people send me
emails like this all the time:

Hi, cool FAQ, where do I buy animals?

Do you know what I do with those mails? They are gone in a blink, I
forget about them. Thanks a lot Tybalt, I hope you find more glitches
like this one. And please make sure that you send them to me! If I get
enough I will make a section on them.

Now here's another email that I got, this one's even better!

Sorry about the subject thing... This has little to do with your FAQ,
hope you don't mind... But it was pretty good, I'll say that. I
couldn't make one. How often to you play that game?! I've been farther
than my friend has. He's been to the second year I believe... And I've
been to the third. Anyway, I wanted to ask you, am I an idiot for not
getting the green house in the first year? I mean I could... but you
can't be everyone's friend and be rich at the same time. Well we can't
anyway. If you mixed us we would be the perfect player but oh well...
I'm good with the ladies... I married Ann first but I was originally
going for Karen. But Karen left the mean guy before I could. In my
second game, the one I'm in now, and I can get Karen because I like gave
her everything I had. Now I work on the other ladies to get some
birthday gifts. ^_^ My friend works on crops and crops only. He
OCCASIONALLY goes and sees the lady he picked to eventually marry, and
he had better hurry, its Popuri and he's almost in the second year.
Anyway, he gets the green house first and that's all. So by the end of
the first year he has the green house and money. By the end of MY first
year I have at least 4 cows, 6 chickens, kitchen, and bathroom, along
with at least 8 planted grass bags. And enough flowers for about 100
funerals. Who is the *sorry I can't write that, it's not that bad but I
won't have it in my FAQs* here? Me or the person calling me an *same
here*? Your opinion please. NOW I know that you probably get it all in
the first year but... SO SUE US. We don't play all the time. He's
usually playing something else and I usually... well I don't come to his
house everyday.... (he owns the game, not me) I don't even have a 64.
And that cow thing, COWS ROCK you don't hit them with things!! Even if
you are tired of them!!! That's just wrong. Your comments were sort of
funny though, using humor as much as you can gets you popular fast.
Believe me. And your 'art' is pretty cool. The trees and all, with the
house... Anyway, I'm bored and I can't write forever.. so...
THANKSSSSS!
S AND BYE.

I read this mail five times! I LOVE it! Thanks for everything
NiraSilverDragon. Now everybody has an idea of what I like to see in my
mailbox.

|The Game /
|__________/

Harvest Moon 64 is a sequel to many incredible games. This is the first
time that it has ever been shown in a 3D platform. The game itself is an
RPG, which includes a very general and quick learning section. There are
four files that have been called "Diaries" in which players can save
their game. Players get to choose how to name almost every living animal
in the farm at the beginning of the game or when a new animal is
obtained. There is no violence at all in this game. A few exceptions
I've found include hitting your animals with your tools by accident but
it makes the game more realistic. Another drawback might be that you
have to play a male character and you can only marry girls. This might
be something that female players might not accept. The players as to
grow a farm in any way he/she chooses to do so. Planting many types of
crops, foraging, raising animals, and helping out at the village are a
few of the many possible ways to make money and grow a better farm. So
far this game has brought nothing to me but education, and the basic
picture of what farming is like. The days in the game are much shorter
than in real life but the length of one day might depend on the amount
of time spent indoors since time doesn't go by there. Harvest Moon 64 is
a classic that cannot be missed!

Version 1.0- 2/11/00
The main version is here! I hope it becomes useful to all of you
readers.

Version 1.1- 2/13/00
I fixed some of my silly mistakes and added some new sections. Check out
the author's comments section. Added more hints and tips and bunch of
new secrets including recipes.

Version 1.2- 2/13/00
Look under "Author's Comments" section to see what happened today. I
fixed tons of grammatical errors and added a few secrets. I also started
my walkthrough and I got pretty far on it. I also added a few more
recipes. I will be updating it soon.

Version 1.3- 2/14/00
I fixed a few "major" problems and I finished the walkthrough for the
summer. Trust me, follow my walkthrough and you will have tons of money
and the best farm there is.

Version 1.4- 2/16/00
I added a few more days to the walkthrough. I still have a long way to
go but promise I will finish it all the way to the third spring. I added
a few more ideas to the "How to make the annoying fun" section and I
added "The Land" section which is very incomplete at the moment. I also
added many details and I fixed some more details. I will not be updating
this FAQ on Saturday but I will try to update this FAQ on Sunday and
Monday. I will try to finish the walkthrough for the first year by
Sunday and I will update the FAQ in general on Monday.

Version 1.5- 2/20/00
I know, I said I would finish the walkthrough for the first year by the
end of today but I came back from my trip at 9:30 PM and I am dead
tired. I finished the walkthrough for Autumn and I will work on it some
more tomorrow. I also added a few more ideas to the "How to make the
annoying fin" section. Now I am going to bed.

Version 1.6- 2/21/00
No school today. I was thinking about making a major update but I'm
stuck playing other games. I added a few weeks to my walkthrough. I also
added another idea for the "How to make the annoying fun" section. I
also fixed two or three grammar mistakes.

Version 1.7- 2/23/00
Small update this time. Sorry, but I have to go to bed. I have swim
practice before school at 5:00 am. I finished the walkthrough for the
first year and I added a little bit of information to most sections.
Expect a big update next Saturday.

Version 1.8- 2/25/00
Hey, I thought I wasn't going to do much today but I ended up updating
this FAQ big time. I added a lot of questions and I got to the second
summer on the walkthrough. I added a bunch of other minor details and I
fixed some grammar also.

Version 1.9- 2/26/00
Today's update is very much like yesterday. I am still thinking about
updating my FAQ tomorrow. I finished my walkthrough all the way to the
end of the second summer. Only three more months to go! I also fixed a
few mistakes and I made other minor adjustments.

Version 2.0- 2/27/00
Small update today, why? Look under Author's comments. I added a few
days to the walkthrough and I added a few recipes. Nothing much, I might
be updating on Wednesday like always.

Version 2.1- 3/1/00
Big update today! I finished the walkthrough all the way to the end of
the second autumn. I also fixed a few grammar mistakes and I added the
"Mysteries" section. Go ahead and give it a look! Thanks to everybody
who has helped me out on my FAQ. Updates will be kind of slow from now
on since I will be working on my second FAQ. I also added a few more
secrets and a few more hints/tips. I will update again this weekend, I'm
trying to finish the walkthrough for those of you who are waiting for
it.

Version 2.2- 3/4/00
Another big update today! I finished the walkthrough for the second
year. That means that there is only one month to go. This FAQ is coming
to an end, I just want to thank everybody again for making this FAQ such
a huge success. I also added a few more suggestions to the "How to make
the annoying fun" section and to "The Land" section. I also added
another mystery and I fixed some grammar mistakes.

Version 2.3- 3/14/00
Today's update has been made mainly to send a few messages. I did add a
few sections and I fixed more "Mayor" problems. Please read my "Author's
comments" section and my "Questions" section.

Version 2.4- 5/3/00
First update in quite a while. I added a lot of questions as well as the
"Deadline Guide." I've added TONS of contributions and I also fixed a
lot of mistakes. Will there be a another update? You bet!

Version 2.5- 5/11/00
I just added a bunch of questions from my email and I basically got a
lot done. I also added one more deadline guide for drinking. I did that
at the very end so it's kind of sloppy but it works.

|Story /
|_____________/

The town-square looks unusual. A few people are standing over brown
carpets and the pink autumn leaves are falling. There is a young man
listening to people's conversation. "It all happened so fast," says one
of the carpenters. "The young man looks interested in the comments
people make and steps forward to try to hear a little more on the
subject. "Yes so his farm, will no longer" are some of the words the
kid listens to. The little man is feeling sad by listening to those
comments so he goes to the other group to see if their reaction is a
little more positive, he grows happy when he hears a few words from the
midwife: "O come on! This should be a joyful sending off". The kid's
happiness grows larger when he notices that everybody in the group seems
to look at things from the midwife's point of view.

As the boy looks at the corner, he notices that the major is crying and
tells him to be happy and to let it go. As he walks away, his spirit
appears to send him a message.

Later on the farm, a beautiful evening is almost ruined when the fields
of the farm come to sight. A man with a brown suit walks by and talks to
the boy. "Sorry I'm late, is grandpa already?". The kid nods his head
and looks at the stable; it seems that he has just made a major decision
in his life.

Once everybody agrees that the kid is old enough to work at the farm, a
waste of time is not an option.
______________
| Characters /
|____________/

Jack - This is the main character in this game meaning that it is also
the one that you move around everywhere. Not that much to explain. When
his grandfather gets too old to work on the farm, he asks his dad if he
could take care of the farm. Jack has a dog to start with and some very
useful items like the hoe or the axe. I believe that he is fourteen
years old in the game by the time you begin.

Ann - Ann is the daughter of the Green Ranch owner. She likes the sun
and any kind of animal in the game, especially if they are tiny and
cute. She has her birthday sometime in the summer. She is very nice to
you at the beginning of the game and doesn't seem to have any kind of
problem. Sometimes she gets hurt and she will get mad at you if you try
to help her. Her brother is the only character that doesn't like you at
all in the game. She is also a choice for you to marry.

Karen - Karen is the daughter of the vineyard owner. Her grandmother
used to make wine too. She has problems with his father later on the
game since he won't stop drinking and he will stop working on the
vineyard. Her birthday is somewhere around winter. She dislikes being in
the rain. She loves berries, which can be found in spring and fall. She
will be sort of rude at the beginning of the game but she will become a
nice person once you bring her a few gifts. She can be found almost
anywhere but the most common places where she goes include the tavern at
night, her house during daytime, and the mountains. If you still can't
find her, check the beach or the church. She is another choice for you
to marry.

Maria - This girl could be considered a "nerd" since she loves to study
and hang around in the library. She is the mayor's daughter and she is
afraid of animals. She can be found in the mountains sometimes but she
will be at the library most of the time. She likes to play the organ at
church. I am not sure of what exactly does she like but try just about
anything will to make her happy, but you might want to try giving her
some cabbage. She loves any kind of bug you can think of. Another choice
to marry.

Popuri - Popuri is the daughter of the shop owners. Her father likes to
travel a lot looking for rare seed all over the world. She likes flowers
so have a lot of flowers outside if you are trying to marry her. Make
sure you have a lot of flowers in your yard when she visits you; she
will be happy when you do so. She can be found outside of her house on
sunny days and sometimes at the mountains. She stays inside her house
during rainy days. Another girl you can marry.

Elli - Elli is a girl who likes it when you buy something from her. So
buy stuff at the bakery. Bring her eggs and cakes to make her happy. She
will be especially happy when you order from the menu. She is kind of
hard to impress because the gifts she likes are expensive except for
eggs. A choice to marry and the best wife there in the since she helps a
lot on housework. She is found at the bakery and at the mountains.

Rick - Rick is a very important character in the game since he (is it a
she?) sells very useful items in the game including the blue feather
which will get you to marry someone. His shop will be closed on
Wednesdays, weekends, and festival days so if you really need to buy an
item make sure you put a reminder on your calendar. Don't even bother
going into his shop with a few coins since you will get nothing. It is a
very expensive shop, have you been saving some money?

Harris - Harris is the town's mailman, he will send letters to
everybody in town. I think that he likes Maria and will eventually marry
her later on the game. Rain won't stop him from sending mail and he will
even work on snowing days. He likes to participate in some festivals
including the swimming race and the egg hunt.

Cliff - Cliff is a new face in town. He lives in the mountains and
hunts whenever he gets hungry. He will find a job whenever he needs
money. Make sure you save some food in your backpack since he will show
up in your house one day begging for food. Who know how many surprises
this guy can bring. He seems to have some feeling for Ann too.

Priest - The priest works at the church. He is dedicated to educating
children and taking care of them from Monday trough Friday. He will be
the one to unite you and your girlfriend after you've used a blue
feather on her. He will also be the one to say a few words at the
graveyard whenever one of your animals dies.

Mayor - The mayor is basically a minor character in the game. He will
show you the town at the beginning of the game if you ask him to do so.
He can be found walking around town any day or at his house. He will
also assist to every festival trough out the year. If you ask me, he
sure looks like a drunk.
He also has a daughter called Maria.

The Baker - The baker works with Elli at the bakery. He is quite a nice
guy and he can be found at the tavern sometimes. If you are trying to
marry Elli, make sure you become good friends with him. Feel free to ask
him any questions about the bakery and how it works.

Elli's Grandmother - She is the oldest character in the game. She says
that she remembers when you where just a little baby. She is found on a
rocking chair on the right side of the bakery every day except on rainy
days. She will die at some point in the story, which is probably the
saddest moment in the entire game.

Ann's Father - This guy is pretty nice to you in the game. He is the
owner of the green ranch although he only sells the animals and doesn't
take care of them. He will give you helpful hints on raising animals and
how to keep them healthy. He is found at the ranch at all times and
sometimes at the tavern late at night.

Gray - The worst character in the game. Nobody hates you more than he
does. He talks to you in a very bad way all the time and tells you to
leave him alone. He does like it when one of your animals enters a
contest and he also likes it when you give him berries. A few gifts will
change his attitude towards you. He is also Ann's brother.

Karen's Father - He doesn't respect her daughter's feelings. This means
is a total disaster since he doesn't care if he fails to keep the
vineyard working. He will also get drunk at the tavern sometimes. He can
be found at the vineyard, inside his house, and at the tavern.

Karen's Mother - This lady cries a lot because her life is a mess
thanks to Karen's father. She will always tell you to try your best and
to keep up the good work at the farm. She will leave and never return if
you don't marry Karen fast. She will always be at her house even on
festival days and will prevent you from going upstairs unless Karen is
sick.

Mayor's Wife - Not much to talk about. She can be found at her house
almost everyday. She seems to play a major part on festivals. She will
also prevent you from entering Maria's room at the mayor's house.

Old Man - I am not sure of his name but he owns a shop to the right of
Rick's. The only Item you can buy from him (or at least it looks like
the only one) is the ocarina. He can also be found at the mountains by
the hot springs. He isn't mean or anything like that, he is just old and
wishes to be left alone. You could learn a thing or two from this guy in
the game.

Potion Shop Owner - Again, I am not sure of his name but he will sell
you three kinds of potions in the game. Make sure you give him herbs and
other items found in the mountains, you could get good stuff in return.
He can be found at the mountains or in his shop. He also likes to make
the kids work.

Lillia - She is Pupuri's mother, I had a hard time remembering her
name, I've been playing this game over and over looking for secrets so I
forget people's names. Anyway, she is the owner of the flower shop.
Visit her on every season to collect different seeds. She will always be
on her shop except on festival days. Make friend with her if you are
going for Popuri.

Basil - This man comes and goes. He leaves every year and returns later
in the game. He will be around the flower shop. He will bring rare seeds
sometimes for you to buy. He will let you know when he will be leaving
and also the day he comes back. There is nothing really important or
interesting about this character. He is Popuri's father.

The Midwife - This fat old lady will be delivering your baby once your
wife is ready. She has her house near the library. You can talk to her
if you want. I rarely see her myself. She is an old family friend since
she mentions your grandfather a lot.

The Tavern Worker - He basically serves drinks after you chose from the
menu. I have read many rumors that he has something from your
grandfather. I haven't checked it out yet but I will as soon as I have
time. He will insist on making you stay at his tavern on New Year's eve.

Carpenters - They will help you out in the mountains, make sure you
help them when ever they ask for it since they will pay you good money
for it. They will also be in charge of the mine during winter. So far
they've built a bridge and a Hot Spring. You can also ask for them to
upgrade your house. Pay them and you won't be sorry. They will also give
you useful information.

Kids - There's lots of them all around the place. Believe it or not,
they give the best tips in the game. Some will come and take a look at
your farm. Their names are Stu, Kent, and May.

Elves - These are little creatures that live in the mountain caves.
They can only speak Pig Latin unless you become really good friend with
them; then you will able to talk with them. Making friend with these
little creatures is a must. They help out a lot.

Fisherman - He will give you a rod for free at the beginning of the
game. He will also tell you how to fish. He isn't that important in the
game. He is related to Elli somehow.

Restaurant Owners - They live far away from everybody. I have not found
anything important from them except for recipes. They are very old and
have a hard time remembering things.

Merchant - This guy will come to your house every evening to pick up
anything you want to sell. He used to be your grandfather's good old
friend. He likes to sell sweets during festivals and especially during
the dog and horse race. He hangs around the tavern sometimes.

Salesperson - Watch out for this one, he will appear sometimes at your
house offering to sell you good stuff. Never buy from him even if the
makes a good offer. You will end up wasting your money if you do so.
Only buy the power nut from him during one of the spring festivals.

Kai - He works at the vineyard. He cares a lot for Karen and
understands her. He will be at the vineyard all the time. If not, try
looking at the tavern late at night to see if you have better luck.

Bug Catcher - He will appear at Moon Mountain during the second year.
He is looking for some sort of super rare bug. He is basically a minor
character in the game.

Photographer - He will take a picture for your album at certain points
on the game.

Taste Judge - You will find this fat guy at some of the festivals
serving as a judge. Talking to him during a festival might give you a
better chance of winning something.

Kissing Couple These two are weird. They will come to your farm
whenever there are fields of grass or flowers. They will eventually get
close and they will kiss. Weird isn't it?

Wow! I think that's all of them. I would like to mention that I've seen
some unknown characters at the dog and horse race. They are two weird
girls and two old people. You can also find monkeys, beetles, crickets,
ladybugs, dragonflies, butterflies, and snakes in the mountains.

|Tools and Items /
|_________________/

Axe - The axe is used to collect lumber. It starts off at level one
like every tool and goes up to level three. It will cut the half-trees
into pieces with six hits of the level one axe. It will only take two
hits to chop them down with the level two axe and only one with the
level three axe. It will take a long time to level up this item up to
level three. Be careful and don't hit your animals with it! It happens
all the time when you forget to switch it.

Hoe - You must use the hoe to fertilize the ground before you can put
seed in it. This tool also levels up three times. It will fertilize a 1
x 1 area with the level one hoe. A 1 x 3 area with the level two hoe and
a 1 x 6 area with the level three hoe. You can also hurt your animals
with this weapon so be careful. You will use the hoe for mining purposes
during wintertime. It takes pretty long to level it up.

Hammer - Use this tool to break rocks and clear the land for farming.
It takes a really short time to level up the hammer. I would recommend
using it a lot indoors just to level it up quickly. The only reason I
could find to try and level up this tool was so that I could get the
power nut behind the pond during winter. It takes six hit to break a
large rock with a level one hammer, two hits with a level two hammer and
only one hit with the level three hammer. You only need one hit to break
the small rocks, even if you use the hammer on its first level.

Sickle - Another hard tool to level up. I only used it to cut my grass
but I found it was much easier to level it up if you use it on weeds
too. It will cut a 1 x 1 area at level one, a 1 x 3 area with a at level
two hammer and a 3 x 3 area at level three. You can hurt your animals
with this tool.

Watering Can - The watering can you will use a lot in this game. It
takes an average time to level up and you need to feel it up with water
from the pond before you can use it. Your crops will not grow if you
don't water them. I would recommend for you to water your crops everyday
except on rainy days (This doesn't count if your crops are in a
greenhouse). Use the watering can after you have fertilized an area and
once the seed have been placed. A level one watering can will sprinkle a
1 x 1 area, a level two watering can will sprinkle a 1 x 3 area.
Finally, a level three watering can will sprinkle a 3 x 3 area.

Brush - You can not level up your brush in this game. You will need to
buy this from Rick's tool shop at the beginning of the game. Use this
tool to make your animals winners at the festivals. You should get in
the habit of brushing your horse, cows, and your sheep every day.

Milker - Buy this item from Rick's tool shop after you've bought a cow.
You can only milk adult cows so you will have to wait a little bit until
they grow. You will get different kinds of milk depending on how well
you take care of your cows. Just stand in front of the cow and use the
milker to get the milk.

Clippers - The clippers are used for shearing sheep wool. These do not
level up. Like the cows, you can only shear an adult sheep. Get them
from Rick's tool shop.

Fishing Pole - You get this tool from a fisherman near the river. You
fish by holding down the "A" button in front of the river or the pond.
Once the rod begins to shake, release the "A" button as quickly as
possible. It takes practice to do this.

Bottle - I got the bottle from Rick during a spring festival (I forgot
which one). Cost a few hundred bucks but it's used to carry liquids like
water and potions. You can only buy potions from the potion shop if you
have a bottle.

Miracle Potion - You buy this at the Green Ranch after you've bough a
cow. Use it on a adult cow to make her pregnant. You will get a baby
cow a few days after that.

Bell - Use the bell to make the cows and sheep follow you. You get it
whenever you buy a cow or a sheep for the first time only.

Chicken feed - Use the chicken feed to satisfy your chicken's hunger.
Buy it at the Green Ranch.

Medicine - Use it on any sick animal you have to make it become healthy
again. Buy it at the Green Ranch.

Ocarina - You can buy the ocarina from the Old Man's shop to the right
of Rick's Shop. You will have to wait a couple months before you can buy
it. It is used to play as a musician in some festivals.

Medal Bag - It holds all the medals you win at the horse and dog races.
Use the medals to get prices from the Major's Wife.

Map -This map has to be followed in order to win get the music box.

Lucky Bracelet - It's supposed to bring good fortune. Become friends
with Karen and she will give it to you as a gift on your birthday.

Cake Card/ Flower Card - Get them from the flower shop and from the
bakery. You are supposed to win prices at the end of the year if you get
enough points by buying flowers and cakes.

Marbles - Thanks to WarlordBob for telling where to find these. Ok,
first become friends with Stu, he is one of the kids with black hair.
Now you have to plant many flowers all of kinds you can think of and as
many as you can afford. One summer (It's "supposed" to be on the second
summer) he will come and ask if he could trade you some marbles for one
of your flowers.

Music Box- It has to be repaired by Rick for it to work. It makes the
girls happy. Check out the secrets section to learn how to get it.

| Seasons info. /
|________________/

SPRING

- This is the starting season.
- Crops grow well and fast on this season and there are many good items
in the mountains.
- Expect to have many rainy days on this season.
- Flowers are practically everywhere and especially in Moon Mountain.
- Many of the characters that where gone during the winter will return
during the spring.
- Cabbage is a big money maker.
- Save your money to buy a cow so you can enter the contest on the first
autumn of the game.
- Don't buy grass, you don't need it until you have a cow.
- Once you have a cow, make sure you plant a lot of grass in front of
your stable. Around six fields will be good and they will be even better
if the area is fenced.
- Leveling up your tools as soon as possible helps a lot in the game.
- If you hate to use wood for fencing purposes, use rocks instead but
you won't be able to jump over them. Wood gets bad after rainy days.
- No natural disasters on this month have ever appeared on my game.
- Have a lot of money before the first festivals. There are many good
things to buy there but they are kind of expensive at this time of the
game. You will have to wait until next year if you don't buy them this
year.
- Buy anything you need during this season, there's too much good stuff
to buy during this season.
- Begin to give your girl gifts since the very beginning. Do not give
any gifts to anybody else until you've married your girl Not even for
recipes.

SUMMER

- Crops in this season take a long time to grow. Do not expect to enter
the first vegetable festival because of this.
- Grow a lot of corn! It takes a lot of time to grow but you get a lot
of money.
- There will be a lot of festivals involving sports (If you consider
running around looking for eggs a sport).
- It is very possible for natural disasters to occur in this season.
Don't be surprised if a typhoon hits twice in a row.
- If you got a cow during spring (which is kind of hard) you should try
to take really good care of it during the summer for the cow festival in
autumn.
- You should have a little money from spring by now. Use it wisely and
only when you need to do so.
- Grow grass so your animals can grease outside but watch out for
typhoons!

AUTUMN

- Avoid eating the poisonous mushrooms. They are the ones with the red
top with little yellow dots.
- If you want a girl, go ahead and begin to give her presents. Try not
to waste your money and get natural food from the mountains instead.
Karen like berries for example. Wait a little longer if you are going
for Elli since it's hard to impress her because her cakes are so
expensive.
- Help the carpenters if they ask for help. You make tons of money this
way.
- Buy eggplants since they are the only crop you get for this season
which is kind of sad since they give you little money for them.
- Get wood quick. When the carpenters build a hot spring all the half-
dead trees on mountain area will disappear.
- Don't buy animals in this season since winter is coming and you can't
take them outside.
- Buy tons of berry seeds if you have a greenhouse. They are worth tons
of money.
- Your tools should be at level three by this time. If not, use the
leveling up technique I've given in the tool section.

WINTER

- So much to do! If you have a greenhouse then you will have a very busy
month. If you don't, this moth is the most boring one you will have.
- Grow berries on your greenhouse if you have one.
- Cut wood on the first eight days.
- Be ready for a lot of festivals at the end of the month.
- Buy a lot of drinks from the tavern, they will give you a fun time at
the new-year's celebration.
- Go mining everyday you can. You get at least five hundred gold per
day.
- Help the carpenters build the hot springs. You will get a lot of money
for your actions.
- I wouldn't recommend letting your animals stay outside. They won't get
food and they will probably get sick too.
- Don't buy animals, wait until spring.

SPRING
Eight- Planting Festival- Just a fun festival really. The year's king
gets to ride a balloon and the rest of the people will release their
small balloons into the air Once you are done talking to people, go get
a balloon and watch them all fly.

Seventeenth- Horse Race- You will not be able to enter the horse race
during the first year so don't try to enter. You have to buy medal to
bet from the major's wife in order to get some prices. It doesn't really
work if you bet the same amount to every horse. You have to bet all your
money to one or two horses only if you really want to make money. You
can get some quite helpful items but mostly all you get is useless. Try
to be on time for the first horse race to get more chances of winning
something. If you entered the horse race during the second year or any
year after that, you will get your picture taken with your horse. In
order to win you must see the color of your horse's stamina, if its
white then give it up, its almost impossible to win. But if its yellow
or green, wait five or six seconds and jam the "A" button as fast as you
can. You can buy fries and treats from the small post. Ann's brother
will get mad if you don't enter the race.

Twenty Third- Flower Festival- You should've voted for your favorite
girl during the past three days at the square. The flower queen is
chosen at random. If you girl gets selected queen, don't dance with
anybody since you can't dance with her. In order to dance with the
queen, you must be the king. You are chosen king during another
festival. If your girl is not the queen, go on and talk to the major.
Let the dance begin! Make sure you buy the rare seeds Lillia is selling
and the Power Berry from the man in the black suite.

SUMMER
First- Fireworks- Go meet your favorite girl late at night for some
romance.

Ninth- Vegetable Festival- Forget participating if you do not have a
greenhouse my friend. Summer crops take much longer that nine days to
grow. Do not expect to win unless you have vegetable you grew yourself.
You can serve as a judge if you do not want to participate. Bring your
vegetable if you feel confident and soon the major will announce the
results.

Seventeenth- Firefly Festival- A pretty boring festival if you ask me
but at least it gives you something to do out of your regular schedule.
You get to toss a flower-looking lantern into the ocean late at night at
the beach.

Twenty Fourth- Sea Festival- This is a truly fun event. Go to the beach
and the game is simple: Pop your nerves out by jamming the "A" button as
fast as you can. You get miscellaneous prices like house decorations and
extra wood. It seemed to get a little harder every year. Anyway, the one
who swims to the flag first is the winner.

AUTUMN
Fourth- Cow Festival- I find it very hard to win this festival during
the first year. The Greenranch owner will come on the third and ask if
you would like to enter. Say yes and go choose your cow. You will win
for sure if your cow gives large milk. The festival takes place at the
Greenranch. You can also serve as a judge if you don't have a cow or you
didn't enter. Your cow will give you golden milk if she wins and make
sure you leave your cow out greasing after it wins in order to get a
picture added to your album.

Twelfth- Harvest Festival- Many kinds of baked goods are here for you to
try at the square. Go se Elli to find out if you are the town's new
king! She will give you a cake for you to eat, if it has a coin in it
that means that you are the winner. Pick a partner and dance with your
favorite girl at the very end.

Twentieth- Egg Festival- This might be the best festival there is. This
festival will take place on the upper town section. Talk to the major,
he will show you an egg with a color, quickly run and check all the
"boxes" to try to find another one like the major's. If you get the
wrong one, just toss it and try another box. It's very hard to loose and
the price is a Power Berry. You will get a turtle decoration for your
house if you win during the second year.

Twenty Eight- Horse Race- Yes, I believe I've already explained this
one. Look under Spring Festivals.

WINTER

Tenth- Thanksgiving Day- Friends will come and offer gifts to you during
the day. I suggest you get a cake yourself and be kind enough to offer
it. Work on your fields all day and wait for your gifts along the day.

Nineteenth- Dog Race- This event is just like the horse race except the
prices are different. You use the same medals you used at the horse
race.

Twenty Fourth- Starry Night- A lot of very mushy stuff will take place
today with your girl. Late at night you can go visit your girl and both
of you will watch the stars at night. You can ask Elli, Maria, and Ann
to go out after you've heard the ceremony at church. Popuri will be at
Moon Mountain and Karen will be very lonely at the beach. This will get
your girl to like you better for sure!

Twenty Seventh- Spirit Festival- All you do during the firs year is
watch how a four musicians perform. But the situation changes if you are
the king and you have an ocarina. You get to choose three partners but
they must be really good friends of yours in order for the to accept
your invitation. You will wear a mask and will perform to the rest of
the town.

New Year's Eve- Have you been drinking? It's time to show off how much
you can drink, If you buy many drinks at the bar, you should be able to
get everybody out of the square. There is no price for doing so, its
just for fun.

| Game areas /
|______________/

Here's a brief description of the areas in the game.

YOUR FARM
You will be in this place around 40 to 60% of the time in the game. You
can find your house, a stable, a silo and a nice little spot to keep
your chickens. There is a huge area for you to grow crops, build
fences, and even find some buried treasures. There is also a doghouse
and plate on the floor to feed it if you want. For some reason it is the
only place that will be affected by typhoons. Many things can be updated
in this section like getting a log terrace, a new doghouse, a new
stable, and even a huge greenhouse.

YOUR STABLE
You keep your cows and sheep here during rainy or snowy days. There is
room for eight a total of 8 animals and a small spot in the corner to
let your pregnant animal rest. There is a place on the lower-right
corner to sell your goods like milk and wool. There is some weird metal-
like box in the upper-middle section where you get food for the animals.

YOUR HEN HOUSE
You keep your chickens here. You have an incubator on the upper-right
corner to grow an egg into a chicken. You also have a shipping box on
the lower right corner. There are six feeding spots on the left where
you put your chicken feed everyday. There's pasture all over the wooden
floor.

YOUR HOUSE
Basically where you live. There is a bed on the left, a calendar to the
right of the bed, a table in the middle of the room, a TV set with only
four channels, and a big wooden box to store your items on the lower-
right corner. The channels you can see include Educational Program,
Weather Forecast, and the last one is just a bunch of static. You can
update your house in many ways. If you want to know how, check out the
"Updating your house" section.

INTERSECTION
Right when you leave your farm, the path divides into five different
paths. The top path leads to Moon Mountain. The path that goes up the
hill leads to the Vineyard. The Path right below that takes you to the
upper section of the town and the path bellow that leads to the lower
section of town. Finally the southernmost path leads to the Green Ranch.

MOON MOUNTAIN POND AREA
This area has a fisherman's tent by the pond at the upper-right corner.
There is a river on the left side and a bridge that will allow you to
cross it into the next area. There is a zigzag path to a higher level of
the mountain on the upper left corner.

MOON MOUNTAIN HOT SPRING AREA
This area as a lot of wood you can cut before you help in the process of
building the hot springs. You will also build a bridge leading to a new
area in the mountain. You find rare items for most of the seasons here.

MOON MOUNTAIN CARPENTER'S AREA
You find a little house in the middle of this section. You can always
come here to get some wood and items according to each season. You enter
this section by crossing the bridge on the pond section. If you go up
you will be able to enter the cave. There is a path that is kind of
hidden on the lower left corner that leads to the wishing pond.

MOON MOUNTAIN WISHING POND AREA
There is a small pond in the upper middle part. There is a tiny river
flowing from it and heaven knows where the rivers lead. You can cross
this river using the board that goes across it. You can also get wood
here.

MOON MOUNTAIN'S SUMMIT
A somewhat long road leads to the summit of the Moon Mountain. Reach
this area by crossing the bridge you build on the hot spring section.
There is a restaurant with two really old people near the top. Sorry but
you don't get any food here. You can also access this area by climbing
the tree by the cave on the carpenter's house section.

THE CAVE
The cave has a lot of rare herbs in all seasons except for winter. You
will find a door that leads to the mine and a small hole leading to the
elf's house. The mine will be closed and will not open until winter.

THE ELF'S HOUSE
A bunch of little elves (two or three to be exact) live here. You can
enter this secret area by pushing the "A" on the whole in the cave. You
will find nothing but three beds, one over the other one. You will also
find rare tools that you can not use during the game.

THE VINEYARD

The vineyard is Karen's home. You will be able to enter her house and
also the wine storage room. There are a lot of berries that have been
planted in rows in the northwest section by the house.

KAREN"S HOUSE

There is nothing to do here except getting recipes from Karen's mom.
There are a few sofas and a stairway leading to Karen's room.

WINE STORAGE ROOM
There is nothing here, just a bunch of barrels full of wine in the upper
floor and in the basement.

THE UPPER TOWN
This is a big place indeed. You can find the flower shop when you enter,
it is the one with the blue roof that's fenced all the way around. Right
in front of the flower shop is the bakery. The bakery has a small yard
where an old woman will rest in a rocking chair. If you follow the brick
path you will find the church on the right. You can find Rick's Tool
Shop and the Antique Shop by the red mailbox right in front of the
church. If you walk even more forward you will see a stairway which
leads to the Town Square. You will also find a house to the right of the
up-going stairway; the house has a bunch of barrels all around it and
it's a bar. There is also a greenhouse over Popuri's shop. If you go all
the way down you will find two paths that lead to the Lower Town.

LOWER TOWN
I will start explaining from the top of the area. You can see the
library on the top left corner of the area; it has a red mailbox in
front of it, which looks like a birdhouse. If you go up you will end up
in the upper town. Go down and you will notice the major's house. It is
the one with tall bushes surrounding it. It looks kind of fancy and it
has a red mailbox in front of it. The small house to the right of the
library is the midwife's house, it has some huge green tubes over it.
Below the midwife's house is the graveyard, which has six tombs in it
that you can read. To the right of the midwife's house it the Potion
Shop. You can leave this area by following the path that goes all the
way to the right.

TOWN SQARE
This is a big area with trees and benches surrounding it. Most of the
festivals will be held here. There is a door on the top that leads to
the horse track. There is also a weird fountain near the middle of the
top wall.

HORSE AND DOG RACING TRACK
Do not expect to be here unless you are in a horse or dog festival.
There's a post for sweets in the upper left corner and a ramp used a
seat on the lower area. There's people cheering all over the place.

THE GREEN RANCH
As you enter the ranch you will see two small paths before entering the
gate. The one that goes up is a dead end and the one that goes down
leads to the beach. Once you enter the gate you will notice two houses.
The house on the right sells provisions for animals and the house on the
left if the storage room for the ranch. Below the storage room is a
small opening in the gate leading to the ranch's field. The stable is
located on the upper left corner.

THE BEACH
What can I say? There's sand, water and a dock on the lower part.

THE CARPENTER'S HOUSE
Come here to update your house. Simply get the needed supplies and read
the picture on the back of the house. This house is opened from eight to
six and it closes on Tuesdays.

THE FLOWER SHOP
Lillia's Shop is a place where you buy seeds to grow crops. Look under
"Items" section for more information. There is a door leading to
Popuri's room on the lower left corner. It opens from nine to five and
it is closed on Sundays.

THE BAKERY
Talk to the worker behind the counter for information on how to buy in
this shop. This shop opens from nine to five and closes on Mondays.

THE CHURCH
It opens at around nine and it is open everyday. There is no business
here on Saturdays. This place serves as a school from Monday trough
Friday and the ceremonies are on Sundays.

SOUVENIR SHOP
All you do here is buy an Ocarina. It is closed on Mondays and the daily
schedule is from nine to five.

RICK'S TOOL SHOP
You can come here and buy many useful items during the game. It is
closed on Mondays and Weekends. It opens from ten to six.

THE BAR
The bar is opened everyday except on Sundays from six to midnight. You
can buy drinks and meet people here all the time.

THE LIBRARY

Closed on Mondays and opens from nine trough five.

DRUG STORE
Opened from nine to five and closed on weekends. You can buy medicines
from the old man in here if you have an empty bottle. There is a door
leading to a back room that has two beds on it. One of the beds has a
sheet with a picture of something that looks pretty close to a Pikachu.

MIDWIFE'S HOUSE
There is pot in the middle, some weird looking "bed", and a bunch of
maternity books on a shelf. It will open as soon as the midwife wakes
up.

MAYOR'S HOUSE
The mayor's house is sort of fancy. There are pictures all over the
walls. You don't come in here unless you want to visit Maria whenever
she is sick. Opens when someone's home.

GREENRANCH STORAGE ROOM
You can see the ranch's supplies here and sometimes meet Ann's brother.
Anything else? No.

GREENRANCH STABLE
The animals here seem to be healthy. Ann's brother will be here a lot.
You can come here if you are looking for Ann.

|Animal care /
|______________/

CHICKENS
Buy these little creatures at the green ranch. You don't really make big
profit out of these since their eggs only sell for 50G unless you buy
one, incubate the egg, repeat the process until you have six chickens,
and finally sell them all for 500G a piece. This is a profit but you can
only sell one animal per day, which makes it a big waste of time. The
chickens will not lay eggs even if you forget to feed them for one
single day. Chickens also die pretty quickly. As a personal opinion,
chickens are the worst animals in the game. Only buy chickens if you are
a beginner who is desperate to buy animals. If you leave them outside
and you don't fence the area where you left them, you will have to spend
a whole day looking for them all around your farm. Chicken feed costs
10G a piece at the Greenranch. All you have to do is feed them everyday
in order to keep them alive and make a profit out of them. There are no
special care features on chickens.

SHEEP
Sheep have their good side and their bad side. The good thing about
sheep is that their wool can be sold for 900G and sometimes for up to
1800G! Now there are a lot of drawbacks to this. You will need for a
sheep to grow after you buy it in order to get wool from it. You have to
buy some expensive cutters from Rick in order to cut the wool. You have
to feed your sheep everyday and broom them if you are trying to get high
quality wool. You also have to talk with them, you have to understand
that sheep are very different from chickens; they need special care. It
takes a whole week for wool to grow back. They are expensive and require
many cares but for 1800G as a profit, it makes the effort worth the
time.

COWS
Cows are very expensive at the Greenranch. They are very similar to
sheep since they need to be brushed and fed the same way. You need to
talk to them, and you also have to milk them for extra love. Once your
cow reaches an adult form, you will need to buy a milker at Rick's Tool
Shop. There are four sizes of milk you can get from cows: small, medium,
large, and gold. The cow will start off giving small milk. You can only
receive better milk if you take good care of the cow and show it
affection. If you what the cow to give you golden milk, you will need to
make that cow a winner at the cow festival. Leaving them outside is
good, the cows don't move around much and are easy to find. It's still a
good idea to keep them fenced.

DOG
The only reason for you to train your dog; would be to win the dog race
festival. If you are trying to win the dog race, here are some helpful
hints. First, get in the habit of feeding your dog every day. You can
easily get some food from Moon Mountain but home-made vegetables work
better. Using your whistle to call him will help it grow stronger and it
will also provide more stamina. Keep your dog inside your house on rainy
days. Let it visit people too. You get the dog for free at the beginning
of the game.

HORSE
Your horse if helpful when you have a lot of crops outside and very
little time. You can but your vegetables on the horse's saddle instead
of having to carry them all the way to the shipping box. Brushing your
horse will help a bunch since he will become friendlier. You have to try
to ride him everyday if you what to see him do a good job at the horse
races. You don't have to feed him, just show him how much you like him.

OTHERS
Rabbits, Squirrels, Bugs, Cats, Foxes, these are some of the other
animals you will find around eventually. You can't keep them so just
ignore them or show them to people to see their expressions.

Here is some of extra information.
- Cows, Sheep, and other animals get sick when you forget to feed them.
Try not to let this happen since medicine is very expensive.
- You feed pasture to cows and sheep.

| A better house /
|_________________/

There are many ways in which you can update your house. The most logic
way to update your house is to visit the carpenter's house at Moon
Mountain. The prices for update are unreasonable but it's worth it most
of the time. These are the prices for updates.

Kitchen- 5000G- 450 Wood
Bathroom- 3000G- 300 Wood
Stairway- 2000G- 250 Wood
Greenhouse- 30000G- 580 Wood
Log Terrace- 7000G- 350 Wood
Baby Bed- 1000G- 150 Wood

Darn expensive, Here's an explanation for each update.

Kitchen- The kitchen has a refrigerator which if very useful. You can
store any kind of food in here to keep it fresh for a long time. It also
has a book of recipes, which don't do anything. It is still very hard to
find all recipes (Look under secrets section). It also has a picture
that tells you how many Power Berries you have and where you found them.

Bathroom- a bathroom is pretty good to relieve tiredness but that's
about it. The toilet has no use but to it brings some humor to the game.
You can't use the sink.

Stairway- So far it hasn't done anything for me. It is a stairway that
leads to the roof of your house.

Greenhouse- A greenhouse is as must buy! It's almost as big as the
fields outside but time does not go by in it meaning you can take care
of tons of crops. It comes with a shipping box and a water pond too. You
can plant crops during winter and you can plant any kind of plant during
any of the seasons. You still have to water your crops during rainy days
and you also have to worry about typhoons.

Log Terrace- Simple a nice and expensive decoration for the back of your
house.

Baby Bed- You must build a baby bed if you want to have a baby since
your wife won't get pregnant if you don't have it. It is placed below
your own bed and has a green color.

I have found other ways to update your house. Here's some other stuff
I've found

New Stable- I haven't gotten this one yet because it costs 3000 Medals
at the horse race. It's a better stable for all that I know.

New Dog House- You can buy a new dog house at the dog race for medals.
Looks really fancy.

Carpet- Buy a carpet from Rick's Tool Shop. It goes underneath you
table.

Drawer- It holds items like milk and food from the mountains. It is
placed on the lower left corner of your room and you buy it from Rick at
his shop.

Invincible Katori- I won this the first time I assisted to the water
festival during summer (I won of course). It's supposed to protect your
greenhouse against typhoons.

Turtle Model- I got this from winning at the egg festival for a second
time during the second year. It is placed over your TV.

Tablecloth- A very nice tablecloth that goes over the table in the bed
section. You win this is you are lucky at the raffle.

Mug- A mug that goes on your kitchen. It looks weird and you get it if
you have a lucky number on your lottery ticket.

Dish- These look like mats all over the kitchen. You get this as a
lottery price.

Cushion- What do you think it is? It's a cushion. It is a lottery price
also.

Flower Seal- You get a bunch of new stickers for your calendar. This is
another lottery price.

Honey- It fill up your empty bottle to recover your energy (honey does
that? I learned something today!). It is a lottery price.

Flower Crystals- These go straight into the bathtub and they will help
you recover your energy faster when you take a bath. This is the last
lottery price that I know of.

| Dating /
|____________/

Are you trying to get married? Here's some tips to woo each of the girls
in the game.

Karen- Karen likes Berries from both spring and autumn. Go to the bar
every night and show her how much you can drink. Beat her on New Year's
eve drinking contest and she will like you a lot. Go check on her on
rainy days because she will get sick on a rainy day. She likes vegetable
but she is very particular about vegetables you can eat raw like
tomatoes. Dance with her anytime you are given a choice to do so.

Ann- Simple enough. Bring your dog and show it to her everyday. She
loves wool, especially the high quality one. Look out for her when she
gets in trouble or sick. Make friends with her brother and that's about
it.

Popuri- She likes flowers and especially if you grow them yourself.
Accept her help anytime she offers it and bring her lots of presents. Be
friends with her mother and never change your mind about buying at her
mother's store. Buy any special seed her parent's offer and be really
nice to her dad.

Maria- Read the shelves of the library every day, do bring her lots of
presents. Talk her everyday and visit the church often to check if she
is playing the piano to make her extra happy. Don't bring her animals
from the mountains and do not miss a day at the library. Talk to the
major often and visit her house a lot.

Elli- Buy cakes from the menu when she's inside the bakery. Bring her
eggs and fish. You can also buy cakes from the counter and give them to
her. Be nice to her grandmother and to the baker also. You must buy
cakes daily to really impress her. But eggs will work if you don't have
money.
______________
| Secrets /
|____________/

Here's all the game secrets I've found.

Power Berry Locations-
1-Use your hoe in your fields a lot and it will eventually appear at
random.

2-Wait for winter to come and go up to the fishing pond. Make sure your
hammer is a t level three and super charge it to blow away the huge rock
behind the pond. If your hammer hasn't reached a high level, use the
leveling up trick written in my Items section.

3-Win it at the egg festival (Hard to miss this one).

4-Make sure you have full energy and pick get a vegetable from your
farm. Go to the wishing pond at Moon Mountain and throw it into the pond
from the bridge. A fairy will appear and ask for your wish. Wish for
strength and she will tell you that you energy bar is full. She will
give you a Berry instead.

5-Buy this one from the men in the black suite during the flower
festival. I couldn't find this one because I don't trust this guy since
he sold me junk.

6-Oh man! This one is hard, you have to dig at the mine and look for a
hole on the ground by using your hoe. You will be asked if you would
like to go down. Say yes and you will appear at a new level of the mine
with better minerals. You have to find another hole and repeat the
process. The berry is at the last (Third) section of the mine. By the
time you reach this area you will probably have less than an hour to
find it unless you are lucky.

7-This happened to me during my seventh summer. I was too rich to keep
working so I started fishing in the pond and a good old friend told me
to drop the small fishes since they where useless. I threw a fish back
into the pond and viola! Monster pups up and gives up a Power Berry.

8-Thanks to WarlordBob for this one! Get the marbles and give them to
elves in the cave once they ask for them.

9-Fishing brings surprises! Try at the beach during summer. It might
work during other seasons but I got it during summer.

10-Thanks to patience I've found this one! After the eight winter
passed, I had way too much money even after spending most of it at the
horse races. Get as many presents as your house can hold and give them
away all time! Give presents especially to Popuri's parents and Popuri's
father will soon come to your house and give it to you as a reward for
your kindness and for sacrificing your wallet.

Follow the map you find on the tree by the water pond and dig on the
spot for about twenty time to get an old music box (See questions
section for details). It will look very old but Rick can help fix it. It
is used to make the girls extra happy!

You can revive the vineyard trees by becoming good friends with the
owner of the bar. He will give you some of the old wine from Karen's
grandmother. This takes time but you must be a real good friend to him.
If you become friends with the elves they will ask talk to you about the
wine. Go to the pond and ask the fairy to revive the trees. You must
throw a vegetable into the pond for her to appear. Again, incredible
things happen when you become friends with people.

If you wait a few seconds on the "Press the Start" menu, you will
experience some short clips of Jack during the game. These are the ones
that appear:

First one- There are three cows and one sheep greasing on the pasture.
Jack come and milks the middle cow for some large milk. He walks up to
the shipping box and places the milk in it. The mailman arrives and
gives Jack a letter. He finishes reading it just when mailman is
leaving. Jack's dog come towards you and starts running around in
circles. Jack looks up into the sky.

Second one- The carpenters are working on outside their house when an
eagle flies over their heads. Jack is standing in front of cliff and
cliff gives him a present. Good old Jacks swallows the food right away
and waves goodbye. He crosses the river on the right by using the bridge
and finds Popuri's father and the fishermen. He says hallo to both of
them and starts climbing Moon Mountain.

Third one- Jack and his dog walk into town. Jack finds Popuri and waves
to her. He goes down and waves at Elli and her grandmother as well. He
continues to walk down the road when his dog runs ahead and the children
start playing with him. Jack goes up to the priest who is outside of
church and has a few words with him before he looks at the kids.

That's all the ones that appear on my copy of the game.

If you want to keep Elli's grandmother alive forever, all you need to do
is ignore her trough out the entire game. Make sure that you do not even
talk to her on accident. But you must see Elli everyday so that sooner
or later you can end up marrying her. Once you have married Elli, her
grandmother will never die.

|Walkthrough /
|____________/

OK, here's the thing about the walkthrough. Harvest Moon 64 is a game
where YOU have to make YOUR farm. Making a walkthrough for this game
would be like making one for Sim City 2000. It's not right at all. I
have provided many personal opinions and some helpful information for
you to finish this game. You might say that you want a walkthrough to
make lot of money without understanding that the game goes on forever
and there is plenty of time to make money. This is a virtual farming
game, go on and have fun with it and make your own decisions. I have
been very careful about it on this FAQ, I don't want to make anybody do
the same things I did in this game. All I did was to provide information
and hints as detailed as I could to HELP you build YOUR farm. I would
make a very detailed walkthrough for a game like Final Fantasy VII or
Lunar: Silver Star Story but I will don't want to make one for this game
since there would be many ways to make your farm a success. I will make
a walkthrough later but somebody's going to have to convince me.

OK, I'm ready to write a "Walkthrough" for Harvest Moon 64.

****Year One******
******************

SPRING-

Third Day- Your adventure begins in the third day of spring (I don't
know why). Once you get up, start getting familiar with your new home.
You can read the tool guide by your bed. I know that your house looks
very lonely today but I promise it will look much better in a few
months. When you are though exploring, head outside. The major will come
by and ask you if you would like to take a tour. It's your choice
whether you go or not. Anyway, when you are done with the tour (If you
went), take a look around your farm. Go ahead and clear the land near
the shipping box. The shipping box is the one in front of the doghouse.
Go to the rightmost corner and you will notice a tree. Examine the tree
to get a treasure map. You can look under my Secrets section to find out
how to follow it in order to get the music box. When you are done with
that, head to the mountains and get as many good as you can and the
fishing rod from the fisherman. You can quickly catch a fish and give it
to him as a present. If it's getting dark, go to bed immediately. If you
still have some time, go ahead and fill up your backpack with goodies
from the mountains and the head back to your farm. Now you can put all
of your goodies in the shipping box if its still daylight. If not, wait
until tomorrow.

Fourth Day- Put your goods from your trip to Moon Mountain in the
shipping box if you didn't do so yesterday. Now head to the flower shop
in town. Talk to everybody you find on the way there. Buy some cabbage,
it's the best vegetable there is. Now head to the Green Ranch and get a
horse. Immediately head to your farm after that and fertilize the land
you cleared yesterday and plant your seeds. Make sure you water them
too. You can go to Moon Mountain to get some more stuff if you have the
money. Once you the shipping guy comes and picks up your goods, you can
go to bed.

Fifth Day- You should have some more money to buy some potato seeds. Go
ahead and plant them. Once you are done planting and watering your seeds
(you might have to clear the land some more), go out of the farm and
head to the vineyard to see a little discussion between Karen and her
father. You can go get some more stuff from Moon Mountain if you want.
Remember to never let a day go by without making money. You can start
bringing presents to the girl you like but don't do it too often at the
beginning of the game because money is critical at this point. Go to the
cave to get some herbs and give them to the elves. Try to make a habit
of this because the elves are important friends in the game.

Sixth Day- Water your crops and go to the cave at Moon Mountain to give
presents to the elves. Now go back to your farm and pick up any goodies
on the way. Head inside of your house and use any of your tools over and
over until you can't go anymore. Then head outside and talk to your
pony. Get anything from your backpack and put it in the shipping box.
Then go to bed if it's getting late. If not, get some goods from Moon
Mountain and give them to your girl.

Seventh Day- Go to cave and give presents to the elves. Pick up any
goods you find on your way back to the farm. If your crops are ready, go
ahead and place them in the shipping box. Talk to your horse and then go
indoors and use any item at much as you can. If you still have some
time, go on and give your girl some presents. You should be getting a
lot of money by now.

Eight Day- Water your crops and talk to your horse. Now you can take a
brake and go to the square to experience the Planting Festival. It is a
very simple festival so you could miss it if you want although I do not
recommend for you to do so.

Ninth Day- Go visit the elves at Moon Mountain. You can stop bringing
them presents for a little while but you must come back someday and give
them more presents. Get anything you find on the way back and water your
crops. Talk to your horse and clear more land. Look for wood to be
chopped in the farm and then head to Moon Mountain to chop more wood.
This day should go by pretty fast with all the wood chopping. If you
still have time after you have chopped all the wood you can, bring some
presents to your girl. You should have picked any items that you found
while chopping wood and Moon Mountain.

Tenth Day- Get everything you have into the shipping box! This includes
crops and items from the mountain. Talk to your horse and go to Moon
Mountain to chop wood and to pick goodies on the way. Then head back to
your farm and place the items in the shipping box. Clear the land near
the entrance of your stable. Now go inside your house and use any item
over and over until it levels up. Make sure you water your crops before
you do this. You should have tons of money by the time the shipping guy
comes.

Eleventh Day- You should have at least 1000G from all the stuff you
shipped yesterday. Go talk to your horse and chop more wood on Moon
Mountain. Trust me, you will need more wood than you think later in the
game. Get anything you find in the mountain and spend the rest of the
day fishing until dark. Make sure you water your crops first. You could
give the elves some presents if you want but don't waste your time on
gifts for your girls unless she is in the mountains today.

Twelfth Day- Water your crops and talk to your horse. You should try to
get a brush from Rick as soon as you can. Buy more potatoes of cabbage
but make sure you still have enough money to buy that brush. Clear the
land some more and visit your girl if you want. Do not waste your time
in Moon Mountain today unless there is no other way for you to make
money. The land in your farm should be cleared almost totally by the end
of this day.

Thirteenth Day- Today you should star paying attention to your dog. Make
sure you call him everyday in and that you give him some food. You can
give him anything you find at Moon Mountain to make him happy. Keep at
least one item in your backpack from now on just in case you need it.
Talk to your horse and visit your girl. Go to the pond if you have a
vegetable to offer and ask for love to boost up your girl's attitude
towards you. Make a quick trip to Moon Mountain to get some food for
your dog and some stuff to sell. Do not waste time chopping wood today.
Level up your items indoors for the rest of the day.

Fourteenth Day- Call your dog, and talk to your horse. Then go get some
more wood until the day is out. Today is just a regular day.

Fifteenth Day- Lillia's husband will arrive today and introduce himself.
You should have a lot of money today. Get presents and visit your girl
and the elves in the mountain. Make lots of friends today, I would
recommend for you to give a few presents to the bar owner and to the
little kids, especially Stu. Give the potion shop owner a few gifts as
well. If you still don't have the brush, the get it! Stop wasting your
time! Make sure you water your crops and you talk to your horse. Feed
your dog and then go to bed

Sixteenth Day- You will not be able to enter the horse race because your
horse is still too small. Water your crops, talk to your pets and head
to Moon Mountain to get items. Your money should be around 350G 1200G
if it is still under 350G, you have problems. Start saving a lot of
money. Your goal right is to try to make 2000G by the end of the
twentieth day. If you already that money you can bring presents to
people for the next four days and you can go fishing.

Seventeenth Day- Water your crops but do not ship them if they are
ready! Simply water them again and talk to your horse. Its OK if you
don't feed your dog today. Once your crops are watered head to the
square and watch the horse races. You can make bets but make sure your
money stays over 2000G. Talk to everybody here and especially to your
girl. The treats they sell here have no use so don't buy them unless you
have a lot of money! When the third race is over you can go home and
sleep.

Eighteenth Day- There will be man on the ground begging for food.
Remember when I told you to keep at least one piece of food in your
backpack? Well, give him some food and he will tell you that he is a
stranger and that his name if Cliff. He will also tell you that he has a
condor pet named Cain. Talk to your horse and feed your dog. Then
collect any vegetables that are ready and ship them. Buy some grass but
make sure that your money stays over at 2000G. Plant the grass seeds on
a fertilized area in front of your stable. Then go to Moon Mountain and
start foraging until your backpack is full. Visit the elves on the way
and if you have time you can also visit your girl.

Nineteenth Day- Keep working as usual. Take care of the farm fast so you
can go foraging and you can also visit the elves or your girl if you
still have time. Get as much money as you can tough and only give away
flowers to your friends so that you can ship anything valuable. Remember
to feed your dog and leave the horse alone for now.

Twentieth Day- You should have at least 2000G by now. Water your crops
and talk to your horse. Do not feed your dog today, instead head to the
square and vote for the flower queen. Now head to the green ranch and
buy a chicken and some food for it. Remember that chickens are only good
for reproducing and selling. Go to the farm and take the chicken outside
if it's not raining. You will have to check the weather channel from now
on so that your animal doesn't get sick and lays eggs. Now sped the rest
of the day fishing or giving gifts. Don't visit the elves because it
might take the rest of the day. Use any item a lot indoors before going
to bed.

Twenty First Day- From now on I will stop reminding you to feed your
dog, talk to your horse and water your crops. You must do that everyday
unless I tell you not to do so. Now go buy some grass and place the
seeds on a fertilized area near the hen house. Use some of your wood and
build a fence around that area and cover the entrance with a rock. Take
your chicken inside and put the egg in the egg-laying place to get
another chicken later. Put some food on the right spot and spend the
rest of the day cutting more wood in the mountains. Also visit your
girl.

Twenty Second- If you are planning on planting some new seed you better
hurry and get them, plant them as soon as possible. Your money should be
over 1000G by now. Make sure you have at least 1000G to buy something
important on the twenty third. Do what ever you want today but make sure
you have a lot of money by the end of the day. Buy more food for your
chicken if you need it. I suggest you go fishing or you could also bring
gifts to some people. You can also chop wood if you want but giving
gifts is your best bet. Visit your girl today.

Today is Popuri's birthday so go ahead and bring her a flower.

Twenty Third- After your daily morning routine you must head to square
to experience the flower festival. The most important items you can buy
here include an empty bottle and a power nut. Buy the power nut first
and then buy the empty bottle if you still have money. You can also buy
some rare seed from Lillia and her husband if you want. Talk to people
until the queen appears. You can dance with the girl you like if she did
not get nominated as the queen. You may dance with anybody else if the
girl you like was chosen as the queen. You will go home once the dancing
is over.

Twenty Fourth- Go get your chicken and put it inside the grassy area
surrounded with fences that you made a few days ago. Place any eggs in
the shipping bin. Do not take your chicken outside if its raining! Once
you are done you can go foraging at Moon Mountain or you could also go
get more wood. Do not buy any more seeds unless they are grass seeds.
Concentrate on working the rest of spring and stop giving away gifts for
a little while. The only person you should give a present to for the
rest of the month is your girl. Your wood stock should be pretty big by
now and your money should average from 400G to 1800G.

Twenty Fifth Day- Money is your friend so get lots of today! Remember
not to plant anymore seeds and to check the weather channel for rainy
days! You wouldn't want to leave your chicken outside on a storm would
you? Well, now that the chicken is staying outside in a grassy area you
will not have to feed it anymore! It's still a good idea to have to food
for it just in case. A second chicken should've hatched a few days ago.
Do not sell this chicken yet, wait for it to grow. Place your second
chicken on the fenced area outside along with the first one and cover
any entrances. Your hammer should be a golden one already and you should
be getting near to having the level two watering can. Do not worry about
the hoe or the sickle. Concentrate on chopping more wood and foraging.
Visit the elves today and give them some herbs from the cave. Give your
girl a present if you find her on the mountains also.

Twenty Sixth Day- Your goal now is to get at least 4500G by the end of
spring. Do not buy anything from now on and keep making money. If
already have over 5000G, you can star chopping wood or you can also
level up your tools. Whatever you do, don't waste your time. Get more
money if you need to but do something. Fishing is an excellent choice to
kill time and make a few bucks. You may still visit your girl though.

Twenty Seventh Day- Work if you need to. If you are sick of it and you
hate fishing you can start collecting recipes. I am warning you that you
need a lot of money so watch out. Look under the Recipes section in this
FAQ to learn where to find them. I still recommend for you to go
fishing. Get up to 5300G if you can. Remember, you need at least 4500G
by the end of spring.

Twenty Eight Day- You should have three chickens by now. You ca go ahead
and sell and adult chicken if you want for some fair money. Remember not
to sell the tiny ones and to check the weather channel. Level up your
tools and chop wood. This is basically a regular working day. Make sure
you put another egg on the incubator! Fix your fences if they need to be
fixed and get the weeds out of the way.

Twenty Ninth Day- Consider this year as the "Saving Year". The second
year is where things get moving and you get spend a lot of money. Spring
is almost over so take care of any necessary adjustments because summer
is a very busy month. You can easily get 1500G from Moon mountain in one
day but that is up to you and your skills. Chop wood and forage today.
Also, make sure your chickens are okay.

Thirtieth Day- Last day of spring is here! Keep making money and check
on your chickens. Feel free to give away presents if you have a
ridiculous amount of money. You should also cut your crops with the
sickle today because they will be useless be the end of tomorrow. Level
up your tools and get ready for a very busy summer.

SUMMER-

First Day- Tomorrow you'll really get to work a lot. Save money on this
day too. Do you daily morning routine and get some wood. You can also go
fishing. Use this day to relax before the big day tomorrow. There will
be fireworks at night for you to see. Meet with your girl to make her
happy. Maria will be at the square, Karen will be at the beach, Popuri
will be at Moon Mountain, And Elli will be at the bakery.

Second Day- Finally! You should have tons of money by now. Take it easy
and take one step at a time. Turn on the TV and watch all the channels.
You will learn that summer is the time for sports. Listen carefully, you
must check the weather channel everyday on summer because a typhoon
might (and it will) strike. Whenever this happens you have to take all
of your animals that are outside to their stable or to the hen house. Do
no worry since the elves will come and feed your animals for you. Start
off by talking to your horse and by feeding your dog. The first thing
you have to do is to buy a cow. So go to the ranch and buy a cow. You
should still have around 3500G. Use that money to buy tomato and corn
seeds from Lillia at the flower shop and start fertilizing the ground.
Do not waste all of your money in seeds. Buy some grass seeds too and
save somewhere around 1000G for an emergency. You will also need to buy
some food for your cow. You can cut the grass you planted on spring to
save some money. Don't worry about buying the milker yet. You can also
make a fenced grassy area in front of the stable with some fences to
keep your cow from getting away. You will not have to feed your cow if
you leave it outside but make sure that you don't leave it out on rainy
days.

Third Day- Finish anything you need from yesterday. It might still take
all day to do so. Water your crops a lot because they take forever to
grow. If you are done, you have to add the process of talking and
brushing your cow to your daily schedule. A cow is a big responsibility
so take care of it. Keep working on the farm and add an egg to the
incubator if you need to. You can also sell a chicken if its ready.
Whatever you do, do not waste money on something you do not need. Don't
plant your crops too far from the shipping box because it will take
forever to collect them once they are ready. If you finish everything
and you still have some time left you can go visit your girl or the
elves.

Fourth Day- Take care of everything in the morning. You should have a
very busy farm by now. But you should still have some free time to
explore and check out what's new at Moon Mountain. You should get brand
new types of natural food. These items can also be shipped and you will
receive money from them. Look around and check on the elves and your
girl if you still have time. Do whatever you feel like doing after that.

Fifth Day- Take care of the farm in the morning and then explore Moon
Mountain again. Keep foraging until your backpack is full and visit the
elves. Keep foraging until dark and only give your girl a present if you
happen to find her at the mountain. You can also get some wood while
foraging and you could also fish for a little while. Return home and
have a good night.

Sixth Day- Now is the time to forage for gifts. Instead of picking up
items and shipping them, you should give them out as presents unless
your money supply is incredibly low. I would say that you should have
around 3500G by now. If you still do not have the money, try reproducing
your chickens and selling them. Keep foraging and fishing, try to set a
schedule so that you still have time to visit your girl and the
townspeople. Making friends in the game is very important. I would also
suggest for you to check out the Recipes section in order to find out
how to get recipes by giving away gifts.

Seventh Day- You can buy the milker from Rick if you haven't done so
already. You won't be able to use it until your cow is and adult.
Remember to keep incubating eggs as soon as a new chicken is born. Keep
buying food for your animals. Go to the flower shop and buy some more
grass seeds and plant them near your stable. Remember to keep your cow
outside for it to give you better milk faster. Go foraging or fishing if
you still have some extra time. Visit you girl as well.

Eight Day- Go to Moon Mountain to collect gifts today. Give them away
and visit your girl and the elves. You should also get more wood and
more grass. Now is the time to start drinking! If you are going for
Karen then you should know what I'm talking about. After the shipper
comes you can go to the bar and have some drinks. You will drink at the
new-year's eve depending on how much you drink here at the bar. Drink
every other day to have a good time on the new-year's party!

Ninth Day- Today is the vegetable festival. You will not be able to
enter this contest until you have a greenhouse. You can still serve as a
judge and have a good time but remember to take care of your farm in the
morning. Water your crops as quickly as you can to enjoy the festival
even longer. Make sure you talk with your girl at the festival.

Tenth Day- Your tomatoes will be ready today if you planted them on the
first day of summer. Use the money you get from shipping them to buy
more seeds. You can water the plants again and you will get more
tomatoes in a few days. Visit your girl and the elves if you have time
and remember to have drink at the bar if you have over 6000G. You should
save one of your tomatoes for the fairy at in the pond at Moon Mountain
and wish for love of for weather to reduce the chances of a typhoon
striking.

Eleventh Day- Keep working, sell your adult chickens if you have any but
make sure you have one left to lay more eggs. Now is the time for all of
your tools to get leveled up. Use the sickle on your grass and then use
the level up trick inside a house after taking care of the farm. Spend
the rest of the day foraging for gifts or for shipping if you are low on
money. Start thinking about reaching 20000G by the end of summer.

Twelfth Day- Add three or four sets of corn to your fields today. Do not
worry about your horse for the entire first year. You will not race him
until next year. The first year should be used to make money for the
second year. Visit the elves if you haven't seen them in a while and
keep making friends. Go to the bar and have a drink at night.

Thirteenth Day- Get more tomatoes and ship as many as you want but save
one. Use it as an offering to the Moon Mountain fairy. Ask for love or
for weather. Use another tomato to feed your dog. If you do not have
tomatoes, try having a gift day or a go foraging. Remember to check the
weather channel because a typhoon usually strikes somewhere near the
twentieth day. Your money should be getting near 7000G by now and you
should also have over 1000 wood.

Fourteenth Day- If your tomatoes where not ready yesterday then they
should be today (If you have tomatoes at all). If you planted corn today
then you can shipping them also. This will probably use up most of the
day so I would recommend having your horse near the fields to make the
job much faster. Just place the corn or the tomatoes in the horse
instead of the shipping box. You can go fishing once you are done.

Today is Ann's birthday so make sure that you give her a present.

Fifteenth Day- Visit the elves today and your friends. Keep making money
until you have near 10000G. You can buy a sheep if you really feel
comfortable with it but make sure you have a lot of extra money before
you do so. You can always go buy a drink from the bar if you really feel
like it. Do not any more seeds from now on since a typhoon will strike
shortly and you already have too many crops to take care of. All of your
tools should be at level two by now and the hammer should be at level
three. Buy some animal medicine just in case you need it later and keep
it in the box at your house. You can always keep planting grass.

Sixteenth Day- Cut your grass if it's ready. Make sure you are getting
rid of the weeds by using the sickle instead of picking them up. Visit
the elves and stop planting new crops because a typhoon is just around
the corner. Buy the milker from Rick if you haven't done so already. You
can also buy the clippers if you have a sheep by now but keep in mind
that you need 20000G before summer ends. Concentrate on the farm today,
fix any broken fences, water your crops, and take care of your animals.
Sell chickens if you have too many.

Seventeenth Day- Take care of everything in the morning. Today is a
perfect day to visit the town. Buy some cakes and enjoy them. Visit as
many people as you want and give them gifts from the mountains. Do not
visit the bar today because there will be a festival tonight at seven.
The festival will take place at the beach. The beach is sort of hidden
so check my Areas section if you have trouble finding it. After the
festival you will go to bed.

Eighteenth Day- You might get more corn or tomatoes today. Do not bother
buying any more seeds not only because of the typhoon but also because
they will not grow fast enough and they will die before you can make a
profit from them. Get another sheep if you can afford it but keep in
mind that buying more animals will make the days longer and you will
have to spend more money on taking care of them. I also want to remind
you that you should be saving money from now on. So not buy gifts, get
them from the mountains. You can still visit your girl and your friends.

Nineteenth Day- Now it's time for more working. Start getting ready for
autumn from now on. Find out how to make money, I have already told you
of few ways to make money but you have to make up your own also. Taking
care of the farm is still very important. You are getting ready to buy a
greenhouse in fall so get moving if you have to. Do not buy too much
junk unless you have an absurd amount of cash with you. You can take the
risk of getting more animals if you want and you can also get rid of
your chickens if you feel like they are just a waste of your time. Your
crops are very important so make sure you water them everyday. Your girl
should also be getting near the pink heart and the elves should be
really good friends of yours.

Twentieth Day- Ship your crops if you have any. Get your animals inside
to keep them from getting harmed by a typhoon. Keep making money and
watering your crops. Chop more wood if you need to. Let me advise you
that there is an area in Moon Mountain that has a lot of wood on it,
this wood will disappear eventually after the carpenters build a bridge.

Twenty First Day- If you have enough money you can start looking for
treasures. Try fishing at the beach for a berry. You can also keep
making wishes to the fairy at the pond. Try buying anything that Rick
has to offer if you want. At least some of your animals should be adults
by now so keep making money from those and take real good care of the
young ones. Keep watching the weather channel if a typhoon hasn't
appeared yet.

Twenty Second Day- Forage, go fishing, sell stuff, do whatever you want
but keep making money. Keep visiting your girl and the elves. If you are
done then take a look around the town to see if there is anything going
on and bring Stu a present. You can also play with your dog if you want
and go scare Maria! Anyway, keep up the good work.

Twenty Third Day- You order to buy a greenhouse if you have the money
today. It is perfectly normal if you don't have money to buy it by now
but it's about time for you to get one. The greenhouse will save you a
lot of time and will make you rich beyond your dreams. Do not buy a
greenhouse if the typhoon hasn't appeared because it might destroy the
greenhouse. Keep working instead and don't let a day go by without
making money.

Twenty Fourth Day- Today will be your last day off before autumn
appears. Take care of your farm and go to beach as soon as you can to
participate in a swimming competition. This event is really easy to win
the first time but it gets a little bit harder every year. The price for
winning should be the "Invincible Katori." A little pig figure that is
supposed to protect your greenhouse from typhoons. The game is simple,
press the "A" button as fast as you can until your nerves pop out or
until you reach the finish line.

Twenty Fifth Day- Take care of the farm and check your mailbox if you
won the swimming race yesterday to get a picture added to your album.
Keep working and try to order the greenhouse before the end of summer.
Only buy the greenhouse if you have the money with you. Do not go sell a
cow to get the amount of money you need! You do not have to have a
greenhouse until mid autumn so take your time and work for money. Your
axe and your watering can should be at level three by now so use the
level up technique if have to.

Twenty Sixth Day- The typhoon should be gone now and you should also
have at least a cow and a sheep. Try to get better milk from your cow so
that you can win a price later on. You need to take extra good care of
your cow to get better milk. There are three sizes of milk and your goal
is to get milk that is labeled with an "L," or "Large Milk". Examine the
bottles if you are not sure of its size.

Twenty Seventh Day- Keep working if you don't have a greenhouse. Now, if
you do have a greenhouse then you should be low on money. What you must
do now is to get rid of your crops outside if you are sure you can't
make a profit from them anymore. Go foraging today and get money to buy
corn seeds before summer ends. If you have seeds then you can go ahead
and plant them inside the greenhouse and you can also take your time
since time does not go by indoors. Congratulations! Now is when the real
game begins! Your greenhouse will make you rich at least for the next
year.

Twenty Eight Day- Keep working if you do not have a greenhouse. Keep
foraging or fishing if you need money to buy corn seeds. Use your sickle
on your crops if you are sure that they will not grow again because
otherwise you will waste your time cutting them later. Do not plant
grass in your greenhouse unless you want it to look prettier. The reason
is because your cows and sheep have to grease outside.

Twenty Ninth Day- You should have a lot of money if you did not buy a
greenhouse. Keep saving until you get it. A greenhouse will give you a
lot of time to visit your friends and work on other activities. Keep on
fishing to get a nice comment at the end of the game. If your greenhouse
is ready then you can star looking for recipes and start thinking about
marrying!

Thirtieth Day- This is the last day of summer. Your animals should be
adult and you should also have enough money and wood to buy a
greenhouse. If you were thinking about marrying I would like to warn you
that some of the pictures for the album can't be collected if you marry
too quickly. Sell all of your chickens if you have a greenhouse and try
to level up your tools. Make sure that you are taking extra good care of
your animals except your horse.

AUTUMN

First Day- I know that getting a greenhouse by the end of summer is very
hard but it's not impossible. It's okay if you don't have one by now but
you should keep looking forward to getting one because your winter days
will be very boring if you do no have one. Autumn has started so you can
go ahead and explore the mountains. There are brand new items to collect
and the berries are back. You will also notice new animals. Foraging
today is a good choice and don't worry about buying new seeds. Your corn
and tomatoes will still be alive if you got some for your greenhouse
during summer. You can still leave your animals outside greasing even if
the grass looks like its dead. You can not plant grass anymore so don't
even try it.

Today is Elli's birthday so bring her some eggs and milk.

Second Day- Keep working today and buy some eggplant seeds even if you
are still saving for a greenhouse. Buy at least six bags and don't buy
anymore than ten bags unless you have a greenhouse and a lot of money.
Keep taking care of the animals, and especially take care of your cow.
Work on the farm today and forget about foraging. Your money supply
should be really low if you have the greenhouse already. If you do have
a greenhouse and you still have money, go spend some of it at the bar.

Third Day- You will be given the option to enter the cow festival. If
you have a cow that's ready then you can feel free to enter although I
doubt that you have a mature enough cow that gives at least medium sized
milk. Its your choice whether you enter or not. Let me warn you that you
will have to wait until next year if you do not enter the contest this
year. I got new corn in my greenhouse today so you might have some too.
You can bring presents to your girl today.

Fourth Day- Take care of the farm and do not order the greenhouse today
if you where planing on doing so. Go to the cow festival instead to see
if you are a winner. You can serve as a judge if you did not bring a
cow. Talk to everybody in the festival including your girl and the judge
to get a slightly better chance of winning. This festival takes place at
the Green Ranch and not at the square. This is one of my personal
favorite festivals. Go home after the festival and get some sleep. Make
sure you leave your cow outside greasing before you go to bed.

Fifth Day- You will get a picture if you left your winning cow outside
greasing last night. It's back to work today so get your tools and work
on the farm in the morning. Do whatever you want when you are done but
visit the elves if you haven't done so in a while. This is the last time
for me to remind you that you need to have a greenhouse before the
fifteenth day because I will continue to write this using the greenhouse
after that day more often. Basil will be leaving today (Pupuri's father)
and he won't be back for a while. Not that it really matters but its
worth mentioning.

Sixth Day- Keep watering your crops and do whatever you want at the end
of the day. The game has many a lot of options and different this to do
that it's time for you to start making up your own. Keep visiting the
elves and your girl. Consider this day a regular working day. Remember
that you can always go to the bar at night to have a drink (note, if you
have been buying milk then you have been wasting your time! Water and
milk are no good, you must buy something with alcohol in it.

Seventh Day- Take care of the farm in the morning. Today is another
regular working day. I want to remind you of a couple of things before
you go on. Notice that I am writing this walkthrough by giving you a lot
of variety and many helpful hints because that's the way I believe this
walkthrough should be written. The best way to enjoy the game and
complete everything on it is to set goals. Right now your goal is to
have a greenhouse by the end of the fourteenth day and have an be ready
to work on it on the fifteenth.

Eight Day- Today is a big day if you planted eggplants on the first day
of autumn. Collect them all to make big bucks. Remember to use your
horse to collect the eggplants quicker. Get as much money as you can,
you can easily get over 4000G today if ship all of your goods, go
foraging, and milk your cow(s). If you did not plant any seeds on the
first day then you will have to wait a few days to make money. You might
get tomatoes if you have a greenhouse. Do not bother to plant eggplants
on your greenhouse if they take up too much space unless you need money
critically; this should not be an issue since you do not have a goal at
the moment. Go to the bar and have a drink if you can. Spend the rest of
the day leveling up your axe if it is not on level three already because
it will be very helpful for winter.

Ninth Day- If you did not get any eggplants yesterday then you should
have them today. If you already collected your eggplants then keep
making money for the greenhouse. For those of you who do have a
greenhouse, use your extra money to buy anything that Rick has to offer.
Then spend the rest of the day chopping wood and fixing fences. You can
also get rid of weeds and level up your tools until you get tired. Work
on anything your farm needs to day and fish if you have extra time
(unless you are too tired).

Tenth Day- I got more tomatoes from my greenhouse today since I planted
them in four separate days before, now I have to ship my vegetables
almost everyday. Keep foraging if you have nothing else to do. Remember
that you are running short on time and that greenhouse needs to be ready
for the fifteenth because I will not go back for you if you do not have
one. Visit your friends if you haven't done so in a while and go to bar
if you have money to waste. Keep working on those eggplants.

Eleventh Day- Well, if you are lucky if you planted seeds on the first
day and you have been watering them everyday because today you get your
second harvest. Make sure you keep a few, one for your dog, one for the
pond, one for your girl, and one for the elves. It's up to you if you
want to give away any or not. Keep working and do whatever you want if
you have extra time by the end of the day.

Twelfth Day- If your eggplants are fully grown today, do not ship them!
Just water them because today is the harvest festival. Head over to the
square and take a look around. Talk to people and specially to your
girl. Once you are done you can talk with Elli and she will give you a
cake to see if you are the king. I got to be the king the first year
because I got a greenhouse very early and I give away a lot of presents
to everybody. I am not sure if that is the reason why I got to be the
king but I'm almost positive. Sleep comes after the festival!

Thirteenth Day- For all of you who have a lot of money, do not waste
your time and do something! Either make more money or start getting some
power berries of some recipes. Keep chopping wood since there is lots of
it during the first year. Keep working and get yourself at drink at the
end of the game if you can. This is another regular day.

Fourteenth Day- Today is your third harvest! Start shipping those
eggplants. Use your horse if you need it. Your greenhouse should have
been ordered a few days ago and it should be ready by tomorrow. Do not
waste your money now if you don't have to because your next goal is
pretty expensive too. Now you can forage for shipping but I recommend
foraging for gifts. Your girl should have a pink heart by now and you
should be able to ask her to marry you. Keep drinking and keep having
fun!

Fifteenth Day- Finally! A greenhouse should be ready to work right now!
If not then you have problems. I am sorry but I am going back, from now
on I am writing this FAQ thinking that you have a greenhouse by now. Go
foraging if you are low on money. Do not waste your time because you
have to start planting seeds right away! Do not let the day go by
without making money. Now that you have a greenhouse your next goal is
to fill it up with vegetables. Go foraging even if you have a lot of
money or you can try fishing if you want. Get at least 1000G by the end
of this day. Let me remind you of everything your farm should have: One
cow, one sheep, a brush, a greenhouse, the clippers, one or two chickens
(size doesn't matter), a grassy area near your stable, a grassy area
near the hen house, and a clear land. You should also have 1000G by the
end of the day (It's really easy to make 1000G in one day if you work
very hard), stay up late if you need more money but make sure you get
it! For those of you who already have a greenhouse, make sure you fill
it up to its maximum capacity. If you already have a full greenhouse
then you can do whatever but do not waste your time.

Sixteenth Day- Buy some corn seeds if your greenhouse is empty and plant
the right away. I'm telling you, you are going to become rich in no
time. Your goal is to have your greenhouse to its maximum capacity
before the twenty second. From this point I will now write the
walkthrough for those of you who have the greenhouse full. All of you
who are still working on the greenhouse can catch up as soon as you are
done filling it up.

Seventeenth Day- Work on the greenhouse if you need to. Now, as I said,
I am writing this walkthrough for those of you who are ready to move on.
Start off by visiting the elves and your girl everyday from now on. It
is time to start chopping wood, lots of it. The highest area you can
reach at Moon Mountain (without climbing the tree) has a lot of wood in
it. This wood will disappear pretty soon so get as much as you can right
now. Try foraging if you still have some time after cutting all the wood
you can. Remember to visit the bar and never forget about your animals
and your crops.

Eighteenth Day- Keep chopping wood and take good care of your farm. Ship
anything you need to and sell your extra chickens. Keep taking care of
your animals except for your horse. Money will not be a problem anymore
now that you have a greenhouse full of corn, tomatoes, and eggplants.
Just remember to water your crops everyday and get rid of your crops
outside because you will waste a lot of time taking care of them. Cut
your grass and spend the day at your farm. Visit the bar late at night
if you want. Today is basically another regular working day except for
the fact that you must chop at least a little bit of wood.

Nineteenth Day- Visit the elves and chop wood on your way to the cave.
You can also pick up any items on the way back. Save a few vegetables
everyday to give them away as an offering to the fairy at the pond. Keep
visiting your girl and keep working on the farm. I am sorry but there is
so much to do that I can't remind you to do everything. You have set a
schedule and start working by yourself. There's still some thing that
you have to be doing everyday which are: water your crops, take care of
the animals, visit the elves every other day, visit the bar every other
day, try to visit your girl everyday, and never let a day go by without
making money. The rest is up to you.

Twentieth Day- Yes! My favorite festival has arrived. Take care of your
crops and your animals in the morning and immediately head to the
village. Talk to everybody and then talk to the major. You will
eventually play a very simple game that's kind of like a scavenger hunt.
Look under my "Festivals" section for more information.

Twenty First Day- Start saving fodder for the winter because you can not
let your animals (except for the dog and the horse) outside during
winter. You can buy it or you can also save cut more grass. Also, buy a
cow potion in order to make your cow pregnant. Do not make her pregnant
if she gives you small milk tough. Your girl should be ready to marry
but hang on to your horses because it's not a good time to wed. Keep
working.

Twenty Second- There is no time to waste anymore, spend the whole day
leveling up your tools indoors until you fall (watch out, don't get
sick!). If you get too tired then you can buy some potions from the
store. Your tools have to be at level three by the end of the year!
Trust me, you do not want to wait until winter to level up your tools
because winter is as very busy month. Now that your girl is in love with
you, you should start wooing the other girls in order to add more
pictures to your album. Your greenhouse should be full by now. Winter
will be a very hard month. Now that your greenhouse is ready, your next
goal is to make a kitchen and a bathroom before the eight of winter.
Keep busy!

Twenty Third- Go help the carpenter wok on the bridge for some easy
1000G! Yes! For the next four days you will make some easy cash just by
helping these guys out. Make a lot of money to order the kitchen on the
twenty eight. Chop a lot of wood if you need to because you will need
it. Remember to level up your tools and stop drinking for a while
because you need tons of money now.

Twenty Fourth- Take care of the farm and help the carpenters build the
bridge. Keep chopping wood and collecting anything you have in the
greenhouse. Your money should be boosting up big time. Do not socialize
with anybody anymore because you need money. Do you wonder why am
telling you this? Well, the second year will be very different from this
year. You have to make tons of money by the end of winter (and you will)
because you will have to make friends with many people during the second
year. All of the girls will have to fall in love with you during the
second year and you will have a lot of things going on that require
money. So think of autumn and winter as the hardest months of the game.

Twenty Fifth Day- Keep working and help the carpenters. Do not talk with
people unless you find them in the mountains on your way to work. Your
money should be around 9000G 20000G by now. Get moving and chop more
wood if you already have the money. Work until late if you need to and
don't forget to try and level up your tools before you go to bed.

Twenty Sixth Day- If you are mad at me because I am telling you to water
all of your crops and chop all the wood at thew mountains then I have to
apologize. I understand that you might be running out of energy before
you can even water all of your crops. There's two thing you can do to
help this, you either buy some cakes to refill your energy fast of you
do not water your crops for one day. Keep working and keep making money.
Chop lots of wood also because you are going for home extensions.

Twenty Seventh Day- Today is the last day that you will work for the
carpenters. Keep in mind that you need around 10000G before today to
order a kitchen tomorrow. You will also have to work hard to order a
bathroom while the kitchen is being built.

Twenty Eight Day- You have to order a kitchen as soon as you can. The
bridge is now working and you can go across as many times as you want of
you feel like wasting your time. The kitchen should be ready before the
third day of winter. Keep it up and start saving for that bathroom now.
Remember to start saving fodder. You should have at least 100 pieces of
fodder before winter comes.

Twenty Ninth Day- Are you tired? Well, You can stop what ever you are
doing and take it easy today. You can go fishing or you can visit the
mountains today to make your heart rate return to regular. I do not
usually say this but today is your day off. You can ignore this if you
want but really rest a bit unless you are very low on money or wood.

Thirtieth Day- Last day of fall. Today you will be given one more
responsibility. The Green Ranch owner will come today and he will give
ask you if you could take care of a few cows for him. Say yes because
you will get paid a good 5000G for job. Keep working the rest of the day
and get ready for the hardest month of the game: the first winter.

WINTER

First Day- The first days of winter are very important. Make sure that
you do not leave your animals outside anymore or else they might get
sick. Your crops outside will be dead and you will not be able to plant
anything else. Don't worry, your grass will not die this month but you
will not be able to cut it for fodder. Take care of the farm and keep
making money from your animals and your greenhouse. There are no items
in the mountains so don't try to go foraging. Make sure you are taking
care of those cows for the Green Ranch owner. Once you are done taking
care of the farm, you should go chop wood for the rest of the day and
try to level your tools up if need to.

Second Day- Keep chopping wood and taking care of the cows. Your kitchen
should be ready before the fourth day. Remember not to marry anybody
yet. Visit the elves while you are chopping wood. Your axe should be at
level three by the end of the eight. It takes a very long time to level
up that axe but it's worth the effort. Your money by the end of winter
has to be over 90000G! Don't worry, you will get the money once the mine
opens. The kitchen should be ready by tomorrow and the bathroom should
be ready to be used on the eight day.

Third Day- Today is a regular working day. Here's a quick reminder of
what you should have and what your goals are at the moment.

What you should have-
A level three hammer
All other tools at level two
A full greenhouse
A healthy dog
A pink heart on at least one girl
Be very good friends with the elves
At least one cow
At least one sheep
At least two or three chickens
A clear land
A lot of money (12000G 40000G)
Tons of wood
Bought everything from Rick
At least ten recipes
At least five Power Berries
An ocarina
A horse

What you should have by the end of winter-
All house extension
Around 100000G
A dog that won the race

Simple enough? All you need by the end of winter is a lot of money!

Fourth Day- Your kitchen should be ready today. Go on and order a
bathroom right away. Go to the mountains and keep chopping wood because
you need all house extensions by the end of winter. You can leave out
the baby bed for now If you do not want it. The owner of the cows will
come and pick them up, she will pay you around 7000G 8000G depending
on how well you took care of them. Keep working and don't forget to some
at least one vegetable for the fairy at the pond.

Fifth Day- Your bathroom is getting ready. Buy some strawberries if you
haven't done so because you make a lot of money selling those. Keep
making money, you should have a around 50000G by now. Sell any extra
chickens and buy another cow if you feel conformable with that. That
greenhouse is making you rich isn't it? Told you.

Sixth Day- Chop more wood, If you are done with chopping wood then you
can start buying cakes and putting them in your refrigerator but don't
let your money drop bellow 40000G. Keep visiting the elves and your girl
just in case you haven't done so in a while. Keep taking care of that
dog and you won't have to worry about him for the rest of the game once
he wins the dog race.

Seventh Day- I got tons of corn today but that's me. Your bathroom
should be ready to work tomorrow. Buy some cakes and put them in your
freezer because they are very important for mining. Any cake will do.
Your axe should be at level three by the end of today. Today is your
last day to chop wood because you will be very busy mining for the rest
of the month. You should have at least 6 pieces of cake in your
refrigerator.

Eight Day- Do not take care of your farm right away! Get a cake from the
refrigerator and head to the cave at Moon Mountain to enter the mine.
The faster you get to the mine the longer you get to stay in. Make sure
you bring your hoe along or you will not be able to do anything inside.
Your bathroom should be ready to use. Once you are in the mine you
should start digging like crazy. Don't bother to use a level two
technique with the hoe because it won't work, same thing happens with
the level three technique. Look for holes to go deeper into the mine.
Look under my "Material to be sold" section to know which minerals are
the most valuable. Once you are done mining you should be dead tired,
eat a cake and head back home to use the bathtub. Use it five or six
times to fill up your energy and go water your crops. Then take care of
your animals. Those minerals should give you at least 2000G everyday!

Ninth Day- Go to the mine and keep digging, try to get a power berry and
eat cakes if you are getting tired. Head back home and take care of the
farm. I got an easy 10000G on the last two days. Having 100000G by the
end of winter should look easy by now. Keep making money and don't waste
your time today. Use your bathtub if you need to relieve tiredness.

Tenth Day- Do not go to the mine today, take care of the farm and head
to the village to give away cakes to the girls. Immediately head back to
your house and wait for any girl(s) that like you to come. Happy
Thanksgiving Day!

Eleventh Day- Go to the mine and make tons of money! Keep in mind that
you should have of your house updates by the end of winter and those
require wood as well. So get your axe and chop wood if you need to. Get
a rare root from the mine and give it to the potion shop owner. Try
giving Rick a few minerals also.

Today is Maria's birthday so make sure that you visit her.

Twelfth Day- Today the carpenters will ask for help on building the hot
springs. That area will not give you wood or items anymore. Help them
out to get a picture and a lot of money. They will ask for help a couple
of days. The exact payment is 1000G per day. You can go to the mine
after you are done or you can go get more wood.

Thirteenth Day- Take care of your farm in the morning this time and then
go help the carpenters build the hot spring. You will be working on it
until the sixteenth day. I bought another sheep today because I have a
lot of money. Do not buy berries anymore unless you have a lot of space
in your greenhouse because they only give you one harvest. Keep on
working and keep making money. Go to the mine if you need to buy make
sure you help the carpenters first.

Fourteenth Day- Ann came to me today and showed me a rabbit. I got a
picture after that. I have no idea why this happened but I was pretty
friendly with her. Go to the mountains and help those carpenters. You
can buy a potion from the Green Ranch to impregnate your cow. Do not
make your cow pregnant if it gives you gold milk though. I got tomatoes
today so you might get some too.

Fifteenth Day- You are almost done with those hot springs. Today is a
regular winter day so do whatever you want but make sure that your dog
is treated like a king. If you have trouble finding food for him then
buy him some cookies or something. Do not waste your money unless you
have a lot.

Sixteenth Day- You will finish building the hot spring today. I already
have a log terrace so you should be updating your house from now on. You
will get your picture taken once the hot springs are finished. I got
more corn today (heck, I get it every other day!). Keep visiting the
mine and take care of your animals. Sell your extra chickens and relieve
tiredness in the bathtub if necessary.

Seventeenth Day- Now that the hot spring is done you can spend more time
on the mine. Remember to take care of the farm after you visit the mine
and not before. Your dog should be living better than you are, once that
dog wins the race you can dump him in the trash can if you want but take
really good care of him now. Check your mailbox to get the picture form
yesterday.

Eighteenth Day- Get your dog into the race. Work the rest of the day and
keep making money at the mine. Your house should have most of the
upgrades by now. Get more wood if you need it but get those upgrades
before spring. Start drinking at the bar everyday from now on in order
to have a good time at the new year's festival. Keep your goals in mind
all the time.

Nineteenth Day- Take care of the farm in the morning and head over to
the square to watch your dog win and get a photograph. You can also bet
on any dog but don't waste too much money. Talk to your girl if you
happen to find her around and buy some snacks if you feel like it. Today
will be a good day and you will get a good sleep after the races.

Twentieth Day- Well, no more fun for a while. Keep working hard and make
as much money as your wallet can hold. Make sure you give Rick some
minerals if you haven't done so (make sure they are good minerals and
not just iron ore). Now that your dog has won the race you can take him
over to the potion shop and leave it by the other dog. They might have
puppies later on.

Twenty First Day- Thank god that dog is not a problem anymore. Don't
worry about the hose for now. You still have to take care of your cows,
your sheep, and your chicken. Do whatever you feel like doing but keep
your goals in mind. Visit your girl if you haven't done so in a while
and don't forget to drink a lot! Water and milk are no good, you must
drink beer, whine, or liquor.

Twenty Second Day- Another regular day of work. Wait a little bit if you
are thinking about buying animals unless they are chickens. Make sure
you visit the mine before you work on the farm in order to make more
money. Buy a few cakes if you don't have at least ten points on your
card for the raffle. Ignore the horse but keep working on the cows and
the sheep.

Twenty Third Day- I think I haven't mentioned this, go to the pond with
a level three hammer and smash the rock behind the fishing pond (not the
fairy pond) to get a power berry. Get any recipes from Cliff as soon as
you can because he will be leaving. I am not sure if he ever comes back
so don't ask me. Your greenhouse should be giving you tons of vegetables
and your money should be around 80000G. Remember that you need every
house update before the end of winter so make arrangements if you need
to.

Twenty Fourth Day- Work regularly today and remember not to waste money.
Today is a very special night. Once it gets dark you should go find your
girl to watch the sky. Today is the starry night so make sure you spend
the night with your girl in order to boost up her thought about you.
Karen will be at the beach, Popuri will be at the summit of Moon
Mountain and the all the other girls will be at church. The major will
ask you to join him at church today. Ignore his offer if you are trying
to woo Karen or Popuri at the time. Once you get inside the church you
can't get out until the end of the day so be careful.

Twenty Fifth Day- The raffle starts today and will go on until the
twenty ninth day. You can go talk to Greg and Lillia and they will enter
give you a lottery ticket for every ten points you have in your cards.
Keep working and update your house if you haven't done so because winter
is almost over. Make sure you keep visiting the mine to make tons of
money and keep buying alcoholic drinks from the bar.

Twenty Sixth Day- Enter the raffle if you haven't done so already. I
just want to remind you that you can enter the hot tub to relieve
tiredness or you could also buy cakes. Work all day and keep up the good
work. Keep ignoring the horse for now. Sell extra chickens and don't buy
more animals for the rest of the year. Do not socialize unless you have
over 120000G.

Twenty Seventh Day- Skip the mine today and work on the farm in the
morning. Then head towards the square to watch the spirit festival. You
will not be able to play your ocarina during the first year so don't get
too excited. The major will ask for a second round of applause at the
end of the performance and then you go straight to bed.

Twenty Eight Day- Your house should be completely updated by now or at
least it the carpenters should be working on the last part of it.
Remember to enter the raffle if you haven't done so and keep making
money. You need tons of money for the second year because you will start
to socialize more and you won't be able to work that much anymore. Do
not marry or buy animals. Go to the bar and drink at night. Keep up the
good work.

Twenty Ninth Day- Tomorrow is your last day to update your house. Today
is the last day to participate in the raffle. Don't stop working just
because winter is almost ready! Keep making as much money as you can and
level up your tools. Today is your last day to drink to go for it!

Today is Karen's birthday so make sure that you visit her.

Thirtieth Day- The year is almost over and the snow is slowly melting
(yea right). Take the day off and talk to the elves, the girls, and all
of your friends. Do not waste your time if your money is below 80000G
though. You will be able to spend the night with your girl. Karen and
Ann will be at the bar while all the other girls will be at church. Make
sure you visit the girl that you want to marry. Happy New Year!

****Year Two******
******************

SPRING

First Day- Ah! Second year, this year will be very different from last
year. You now have many new goals to accomplish. Let me list your goals
for this month.

-	To get at least a blue/yellow heart on all girls.
-	To get recipes.
-	To get pictures.
-	To receive gifts from the girls.
-	To have 4 cows and 4 sheep.
-	To get rid of any chickens.
-	To start taking care of the horse.
-	To become friends with almost everybody.
-	To keep your money above 40000G

As you can see those are pretty simple goals. You do not have to make
money for a while but it would be nice to keep a few crops in the
greenhouse just in case you need them. Today you have to go to the
square after taking care of your animals; there is a new year party
going on. Now is your chance to test your drinking skills, have you been
drinking like I told you to? Well, talk to anybody you want to beat on a
drinking contest. Karen is the hardest one to beat. I beat everybody in
the square easily. After the festival you can go home and get some
sleep. Don't worry, you won't wake up with a headache.

Second Day- Take care of the animals (this is the last time I'm
reminding you, take care of the animals everyday unless I tell you not
to do so). Now you have to fill up you refrigerator. Yep, you heard me,
fill up your refrigerator with food from the mountains and fill up the
drawers with milk. This might take a couple of days but you must get it
done, you'll find out why later. If you've picket everything from the
mountains then go fishing.

Third Day- Keep filling up the refrigerator and the drawer. The
refrigerator has to be full by tomorrow night. Don't worry that much
about the drawer for now. Buy one cake for every girl and give one cake
to each one. You have to keep doing this for a while. Go fishing but
those girls have to like you a lot. You might what to try something
different today. Have fun!

Fourth Day- Fill up the refrigerator with good stuff. Keep giving cakes
to the girls in order for them to start liking you. I forgot to mention
that your house should have all the upgrades from the carpenters. Now
today is a big day, you now have to take care of the horse. It won't be
so bad after a while, read the "How to Make the Annoying Fun" section
for hints on how to make the job easier. All you have to do is brush him
and use him to move around the farm.

Fifth Day- Is your refrigerator full by now? Well, fill up your backpack
with as many items as you can now. Now you have to give them away to
people all over the place. The bartender, the fisherman, Gray, Cliff,
Rick, etc. are a few suggestions. Keep giving the girls a few presents
everyday. I do not know when your drawer will get full of milk so I'm
telling you to repeat the process of giving away anything in it whenever
it's ready. Keep making friends and stop drinking for now.

Sixth Day- Give away presents! Lots of them! Waste your money on them
but watch out, do not let your money drop below 45000G. If you are low
on money then you will have to stop buying cakes. Try to buy at least
one more cow and one more sheep before the fifteenth day. Your goal is
to get all the photos in the album right now.

Seventh Day- Keep up the presents stuff. Keep watering your crops
everyday just so you get too low on money. Keep working, by the way, I
just found out a new way to recover your energy fast. Use an empty
bottle on a cow to get milk and drink it, your energy will be restored
in no time. By the way, spring is an excellent season for fishing. Try
throwing a fish in the fishing pond to get a blue power berry.

Eight Day- The sowing festival is back, not a big surprise is it? Well,
you will be able to ride the balloon once you choose an assistant (only
if you are the king). You will also get a picture once you go up. You
will have to stay on the square if you are not the king. Your animals
still need to be taken care of including the horse. You go to be once
the festival is over. By the way, I would really recommend for you to
choose Stu as your assistant.

Ninth Day- Keep making friends and don't let your money drop too much.
Remember that you need to buy a cow and a sheep soon. Get rid of your
chickens if you haven't done so because they are not worth keeping
anymore. You should've been visiting the elves pretty often, you need to
be very good friends with them by the end of spring. Those hearts should
be improving by now.

Tenth Day- I filled up my drawer today but that's me. If you have very
few presents make sure that they are given to the girls. I have a pink
heart on Elli, a blue heart on Popuri, and a bunch of green heart on all
the other girls. Keep taking care of the horse and don't let your money
go too low. O yea, if you want to keep drinking then use the empty
bottle to fill it up with wine from the vineyard instead of buying at it
at the bar.

Eleventh Day- Boring spring isn't it? Well try to make it fun in any way
you can. Start thinking about plowing the land in order to buy flowers.
No, I am not crazy, you need to have lots of flowers for summer. Give
away presents and go foraging if you need to. Get the cow and the sheep
if you haven't done so and don't forget to take care of the horse. The
library will reopen today after been closed for a while. Spend your
money but do it wisely.

Twelfth Day- For some reason it's been raining for four days in my game.
Well, to bad so sad, I guess it doesn't matter. Every girl need to have
at least one green heart by the end of spring, come on! It's an easy
task. Work all day on the farm after you've given away a few presents. I
de-weeded my land and I level up the sickle that way. I also plowed some
more land near the shipping box. You should have at least two cows and
two sheep by now. Buy one more of each if you have the money (which you
should).

Thirteenth Day- How's the horse doing? I hope he's fine. Socializing
gets boring after a while. You need to understand that many things will
happen once you start talking to people. Many good thing will happen;
for example, if you become real good friends with the bartender then you
will be able to revive the tree at the vineyard. Sadly, many bad things
will happen also; Elli's grandmother will die if you become friends with
her. Those are just simple examples that support the idea of socializing
in the game. Keep doing it and you won't be sorry.

Fourteenth Day- The elves should be asking for a weird object, if they
are not then you've got problems. You have to be very good friends with
them in order for them to ask for it. They need to ask about it before
summer so start giving them extra gifts if you need to. Also, you need
to become friends with Stu. Today is the last day for you to get the cow
and the sheep if you haven't gotten them yet. The girls need to be taken
care of as well.

Fifteenth Day- Hello! Basil is back from his trip to tropical lands!
Feel free to visit him at the flower shop. Get his recipe before
anything else happens so you won't have to worry about it later. Today
is a regular day. Remember to keep watering a few vegetables to keep
your money at a decent level. Keep working on plowing the fields but
hang on to your horses and don't buy flowers. Keep up the good work.

Sixteenth Day- Ann's father will come this morning asking you if would
like to enter the horse race. I can't tell you what to do here. It's
your choice. Your horse will not win anything but you can still try to
win just to get the feeling of it. I wouldn't recommend it though
because you will only waste your time, I'm telling you there is no way
you can win right now. If you do not enter then you will be able to make
more bets. Work on the farm and plow the land if you haven't done so.
You are going to plant somewhere around six or seven sets of flowers.

Seventeenth Day- The horse race will take place today. Take care of the
farm quickly because the first race starts somewhere around seven in the
morning. Bet ninety nine medals on one horse and restart the game if you
do not win anything until you do. I usually win by betting on "Star C."
Jack goes home and sleeps once the races are over.

Eighteenth Day- Today is just another one of those boring days of
spring. Keep making friends with people. Remember that you need to
become good friends with Stu and the Elves. The girls should like you a
little bit more once the day is over. You can put the axe on the storage
box since you won't need it anymore. Try to level up your items by the
end of the day.

Nineteenth Day- You can go to the square to vote for the flower princess
any day from now until the twenty second. Vote on any girl you want
since it doesn't matter that much now that you are trying to impress all
of them. Work on anything you are missing, go back a few days to see
what I'm talking about, I'm too lazy to rewrite it. Keep working and do
anything you feel like doing on your free time.

Twentieth Day- Today is a regular working day. Let me tell you that a
good way to make friends and make profits is to look for recipes. Don't
buy flowers just yet. I suggest that you keep using the strategy of
filling up the refrigerator and the drawer. Those tools need to be
leveled up also. Keep on working and visit the girls everyday, it's
important. Vote for the flower princes also.

Twenty Second Day- Today is Popuri's birthday so make sure that you
bring her a few flowers to make her like you more. Today is the last day
to vote for the flower princess so make sure that you visit the square
and vote for any girl. Your presents should be all over town, keep
working on it though. Make sure the elves are asking for something. Keep
visiting the girls and take real good care of your horse.

Twenty Third Day- Work on the farm in the morning and don't let your
horse get behind on its training, then head to the square to experience
the flower festival one more time. Buy the power berry if you misted
last year. You now have to buy at leas six or seven packages of flowers
from Lillia and Basil. Get the bottle if you misted last year also. Now
all you have to do is wait to see who is the princess. Make sure that
you dance with the princess if you are the king, remember that you are
trying to make every girl like you so it doesn't matter. You will go to
sleep once the dancing is over.

Twenty Fourth Day- Today is a big planting day. Get your flower packages
and plant as many seeds as you can. You should have been plowing a few
days earlier to make the job much faster today. Water the seeds and then
go visit your friends. Stu should really like you by now also. Let me
remind you one last time that fishing is the best way to spend your
extra time. You can also write your horse for a while if you've got
nothing to do. Your money needs to be somewhere around 35000G before
spring ends.

Twenty Fifth Day- Water those pretty flowers first thing in the morning.
Visit your friends and do whatever you want in the afternoon. Work on
the horse if you feel like you need to. Don't let any girl stay behind
and make sure that they all feel the same way about you, do not
concentrate on one girl at a time.

Twenty Sixth Day- Go visit unusual people today. I'm talking about
people like the old couple at Moon Mountain or the Midwife. Do this so
they won't feel left out; you have to be friends with everyone. Your
tools have to be at level three pretty soon, including the axe (even if
you don't need it anymore, just do it for the heck of it). You need to
have three cows and two sheep by now. Keep taking care of the horse
also.

Twenty Seventh Day- Summer is coming and so are the typhoons. Prepare
yourself by placing your dog inside the greenhouse. Visit the girls and
write your horse the rest of the day unless your tools need to be
leveled up. Use any energy relievers if you need to. I really recommend
that you use the empty bottle and get some milk from your cows.

Twenty Eight Day- Too bad there won't be that many festivals for a
while. Keep working on whatever you need to. You can get recipes, go
fishing, give away presents, or write your horse all day but make sure
that you do not waste your time doing anything silly and remember that
you need to have a decent 35000G before the end of spring.

Twenty Ninth Day- I have never been so bored on the game! This is the
slowest month, you might want to try something crazy today just to keep
you going. Keep watering your flowers and be real good friends with the
elves and Stu. The girls need to have presents everyday. I tried
something different myself, I went fishing on the beach all day long and
I caught a few fish. Come up with something like this if you are getting
tired of the game.

Thirtieth Day- Today is the last day of the month, summer is just around
the corner. Get a few items from the mountains and keep them in your
refrigerator just in case you need those items during other seasons.
Keep working like you normally do, don't relax now or you'll get sick of
the game for a long time. Keep working hard and get ready for summer.

SUMMER

First Day- Good gob on spring, now it's time to move into summer. Water
your flowers, do not let them die. Water them even if they have already
bloomed. You have keep working on bringing gifts to the everybody. There
will be fireworks this night just like last year. Look for any girl and
make sure that you watch the show with her. If you are not sure where to
find a specific girl then look it up under last year's first day of
summer guide.

Second Day- Now that you are friend with the elves and Stu you will soon
get another power berry. Stu will come some day around this summer
asking for one of your flowers (you need to have loots of flowers in
your outer field for him to ask for one). Let him have the flower and he
will give you some marbles. Give the marbles to the elves and you will
receive another power berry. Do not give the elves the marbles unless
they ask for them. Besides that today is another regular day, do
whatever you want. Let me remind you one last time to take care of the
horse.

Third Day- Your money might be getting a little bit low. Start working a
little more and go foraging if you need to. Your money need to stay at a
good level. Stop giving presents to the people but do not stop visiting
the girls, the elves, and Stu. By the way, save some wool next time you
get some. You can leave it in your drawer. Maria will come sometime
during this month to get a picture taken so really concentrate on giving
her a few extra gifts. Once you get her picture you can stop giving her
presents.

Fourth Day- Get your dog from wherever you left it and put him inside
the greenhouse to prevent a typhoon from blowing it away. Remember not
to let your money get too low. Now you have to go back to old routine of
checking the weather channel every day in order to be ready for the
typhoon. Make sure that you keep your animals inside, you should not let
them go outside during midsummer. Keep visiting girls and skip a girl if
you already have her picture.

Fifth Day- You need to start thinking about filling up your stable with
animals. One of your cows might be pregnant by now so concentrate on
buying more sheep. Buy another chicken if you sold all the ones you had
in order to get the egg recipes. The girls need to have at least a green
or pink heart by the end of summer. Don't be surprised if one of the
girl marries someone else at this point. Do whatever you want after that
but keep your money above 15000G just in case you need it later.

Sixth Day- The "Blue Mist Seed" will on sale today so you can go ahead
and buy it. Buying that seed means that you will have to water it
everyday but you get a picture once it blooms. Make sure that you have a
vegetable in your greenhouse for a festival later on. Don't worry about
the typhoons yet since they won't strike until somewhere around the
twentieth day. One more time, make sure that you keep some wool in your
backpack. You have problems if the girls don't have at least a blue
heart by now.

Seventh Day- Let me mention this just in case you where disobedient and
you decided to marry early. Today is the "Bamboo Float Boat" day. When
the day is almost over your wife will come and ask you if you would like
to go to the river and try to make a little boat float. Good luck and I
hope it doesn't sink. Don't even bother to wish for family union though,
it's just a waste of your wish if you do not have a kid. If you missed
it today then you should be able to go tomorrow.

Eight Day- Today is your last chance to go to the Bamboo event so make
sure that you go if you have a wife and you haven't gone yet. Now, If
you are smart enough not to be married then you can keep visiting the
girls. You must visit the girls everyday until you get their pictures.
This does not mean that you can stop being friends with everybody else,
remember that one of the pictures require you to be friends with
everybody. Keep working hard.

Ninth Day- Ok now, take care of the farm quickly and head get your best
vegetable in your hands. Now head over to the square. I do not recommend
that you place your vegetable on your backpack, so make sure that you
carry it with your hands to the square and talk to the major to enter
the contest. Talk to the big gourmet judge to increase your chances of
winning. Then talk to the girls and Rick. Do not talk with the potion
shop owner because it greatly reduces your chances of winning. Wait
until the winner is announced. Good luck!

Tenth Day- Yesterday was fun but it's back to the old everyday routine.
You can get rid of the flowers if Stu already came to your house and you
can start planting grass all over the field now. I am going to remind
you one last time to visit the girls everyday from now on except if you
already have the corresponding picture. You need to have four cows and
four sheep so make save some money if you need to. Also, visit the fairy
at the pond and wish for love to get those hearts pink in no time!

Eleventh Day- I think that Rick will be selling something weird if you
gave him some rare minerals last winter but I am not sure about this.
Well, he's not selling me anything so I think it was all just another
lie. Doesn't it feel nice to have so many friends now? You're supposed
to answer that without looking at your wallet. Stop giving away gifts
for now. Now it's time to make money. Make a drastic change in your
schedule and start making money in anyway you can. Remember that
foraging is always a nice option. Work on the greenhouse and sell
anything that's inside your refrigerator but save some wool!

Twelfth Day- My baby cow will be born in four days and I can't wait.
Anyway, keep working on raising money to buy grass seeds. You need to
plant a lot of grass before the end of summer. I would suggest for you
to have somewhere around 40000G before the typhoon strikes somewhere
near the twentieth day. Stu came to me today but he might wait a little
longer to come on your game. Who knows? Maybe he came to you on the
second day. Do what ever you want; the Blue Mist Seed is still for sale
so get that if you haven't done so.

Thirteenth Day- Have you been taking care of the horse? I did and I
hardly notice him anymore, you should feel the same. Your money should
go up easily with the greenhouse and your animals. Hang on to that wool
a little longer and go fish at the beach if you haven't done so in order
to get the power berry. Remember that you can stop giving Elli presents
as soon as you get her picture. Remember to get the dog inside the
greenhouse and to check the weather channel.

Fourteenth Day- Right now you should be getting used to the new routine.
As I said before, this year is very different from last year. Your money
needs to be around 40000G 45000G by the time the typhoon strikes.
Today is Ann's birthday! Go get that wool that you've been saving and
look at her smile when you give it to her. Keep in mind that the girl's
hearts should be green, yellow, or pink unless you already have the
corresponding picture. Go give Stu a flower if he hasn't taken a visit
to your farm Remember that you need those marbles.

Fifteenth Day- The typhoon can strike any moment now so keep looking at
the weather channel and get your animals inside. Don't worry about the
horse, he'll be fine (I wonder how?). Make money and visit the girls if
you have extra time. O yes, I forgot to mention that the typhoon might
strike for two days in a row so watch out. I left one of my cows outside
after the typhoon stroke and there was another typhoon the next day. So
keep checking the weather channel everyday even if a typhoon strikes.

Sixteenth Day- Plant a lot of grass, your fields need to have a lot of
grass before autumn comes. The typhoon is very unlikely to strike today
and it will not strike tomorrow for sure so feel free to leave your
animals outside today. Do not buy the Blue Mist Seed if you haven't done
so yet because it will die when a typhoon comes. Get the dog inside the
greenhouse.

Seventeenth Day- Ha! Finally another festival day. Work all day long and
do not waste your time. Go fishing or foraging and keep visiting the
girls. Now you can start giving away some more gifts if you want. Once
the day is dark you can head over to the beach to experience the Firefly
Festival. Talk to everybody there before you enjoy the show. All the
flowers will float towards the ocean. By the way, Stu and the other kids
will make some interesting comments this night.

Eighteenth Day- Keep getting grass seeds and try to fill up the entire
fields. A level three hoe will make the job much easier. It's OK if you
do not have the money to fill up the entire field, simply plant as many
seeds as you can and don't mess up. Make sure that you get the music box
from the field before you plant anything else. Maintain a good social
life and keep working hard.

Nineteenth Day- Go to the Green Ranch and buy some animal medicine just
in case one of your animals ends up sick after the typhoon strikes.
Watch that weather channel everyday and be prepared. You can get some
recipes today if you really have nothing else to do. You need to get rid
of that chicken so keep a bunch of eggs on the refrigerator and get rid
of it as soon as you can.

Twentieth Day- A typhoon hit me hard today. There goes my grass. O well,
I'll fix it later. My greenhouse is perfectly fine and my dog is still
inside. Get rid of any broke fences and de-weed your land if necessary.
You need to keep checking the weather channel since there might be a
second typhoon. Visit the girls and the elves if you want. You can stop
giving presents to Stu once you he gives you the marbles. Make sure that
your money doesn't drop too much and it stays somewhere around 40000G.

Twenty First Day- The typhoon can still strike today and it probably
will. Take care of your animals if any of them are sick and fix your
fences if you have any. You will have to order a second greenhouse if
the first one is destroyed. Socialize and try fishing as a source of
entertainment. Get rid of the chicken also.

Twenty Second Day- Nothing to do really. Keep on working, take care of
the horse, keep planting grass, get rid of the chicken, go foraging, or
do whatever you feel like doing. Remember the things that you need to do
on a daily basis and keep your goals in mind. Visit the girls also and
don't waste your time.

Twenty Third Day- Another regular day of work. Fix your farm if it got
hit by a typhoon. The girls need to have a very positive attitude
towards you. Try something new today, look at the "How to Make the
Annoying Fun" section for a few suggestions and don't let the bad
weather stop you from doing what you want to do. If you are really bored
then you can try watching TV or you can look for more recipes. Keep
working on the farm, there's always something to do.

Twenty Fourth Day- Quickly take care of the farm and go to the beach to
experience the best festival of the year, "The Water Festival!". The
price is a bunch of wood or a bunch of foal. Tap the "A" button as fast
as you can and you will win with no problems. Kay will be the winner if
you loose. He will say that he is so good because he used to swim in the
ocean when he was young.

Twenty Fifth Day- No more festivals for the rest of the month. I know
that stinks but you can do anything you want to have a good time. The
next couple of days might feel a lot like last spring. I would suggest
for you to work on the grass a little longer. Fishing is always a choice
and you can find surprises that way. Keep working and don't let your
animals get sick. Take care of the horse also.

Twenty Sixth Day- Work a lot, just like every day. Get anything you are
missing and don't waste your time. You can start collecting a few items
from the mountains to keep them in your refrigerator in case you need
them. Remember the new drinking technique and how to fill up your energy
with milk.

Twenty Seventh Day- Go to the pond and fish in the morning until around
twelve o' clock. Then go take care of the farm and ship any fishes that
you caught. Then take care of the farm and use your horse to move
around. Then quickly go visit the girls. I would suggest for you to
follow this routine for the next few days. You can easily make any
adjustments like substituting fishing with foraging.

Twenty Eight Day- Follow the guide for yesterday unless you have other
plans. Think of what you don't have and need. If you are low on money,
then get money. If the girls don't like you that much, then make them
like you. You still have to take care of your animals including the
horse. Make sure that you are brushing and riding him everyday.

Twenty Ninth Day- It is very unlikely for a typhoon to strike again so
feel free to leave your animals outside. You do not need that much money
on autumn so you don't have to work too hard. You still have to become a
very social person, making friends is the best way to get the best
report possible when your father comes. Check the mailbox if you haven't
done so in a while also.

Thirtieth Day- Today is the last day of summer. Remember to keep a few
item from the mountain in your refrigerator for later use. Today is the
last day to plant grass and it is also the last day to get the power
berry from the beach. Give away gifts if you want, think of what you
need and get it. Your stable should be full with four cows and four
sheep. All the girls need to have a green heart and you should have
Elli's and Ann's picture by now. You are now trying to get Karen's,
Maria's, and Pupuri's. Good luck on autumn.

AUTUMN

First Day- Congratulations! You've made it all the way to the second
autumn. Today is Elli's birthday so bring her an egg (remember that I
told you to save a few eggs) of buy a cake from her. You can go foraging
to get some berries in order to give them to Karen. Take really good
care of your favorite cow because the cow festival is coming. Don't
forget to take care of the horse also. There is not typhoons on autumn
so feel free to leave your animals outside. Fishing is not good anymore
during this season/month. You can get rid of the flowers now and don't
bother to buy more grass seed unless you want some grass in your
greenhouse.

Second Day- Use this day to fix anything you need on the farm. Fix the
fences, cut some foal, get any animals that you are missing (except for
chickens). The greenhouse is your main money supply right now, keep
working on it. Kent will come today and tell you which one of your cows
is more likely to win, make sure that you enter that cow into the
contest. You get Elli's picture this month so be ready and look for
that. You also get Karen' picture so make sure that you look for that
also.

NOTE- You will not be able to get Karen's picture unless you revive the
vineyard. Make sure that the three in the vineyard is revived (look
under "Secrets" section to learn how to revive the vineyard).

Third Day- The Green Ranch owner will come today asking you which one of
your cows should enter the contest. Choose the one that Kent mentioned
for a sure victory. By now you should have the pictures with Ann, Maria,
and Popuri. Meaning that by the end of this moth you should have all the
pictures except for the party picture. You can go ahead and buy the blue
feather from Rick but keep it in your backpack or in your organizing
drawer. Keep working as usual and remember that fishing is no good
anymore.

Fourth Day- Quickly take care of the animals and the crops and head over
to the Green Ranch to experience the cow festival. I love the cow
festival, it my third favorite festival right behind the egg festival
and the sea festival. Talk with all the girls and with the judge. Drink
some milk and cross your fingers to see if your cow had what it takes to
beat Gray's best cow. Make sure that you leave your winning cow outside
if you didn't win last year to get a picture.

Fifth Day- Back to work, a bunch of girls will come and ask you if they
can take a picture of your cow. Once the picture is taken you can go
visit Karen and Elli to get their pictures. You can forget about the
other girls since you already have their picture unless you what to
marry one of them. Do what you think is necessary but remember to save
some money in case something bad happens. Remember the techniques to
fill up your energy.

Sixth Day- Work more on the farm and try to be home before six in the
afternoon, Elli and Karen will be coming any moment right now. You need
to get married before the end of the moth but do not get married until
you get those pictures. Go foraging or give away presents, you can also
try to throw a vegetable into the fairy pond and wish for love to just
to make sure that Karen and Elli visit you.

Seventh Day- Karen came to me today and I got her picture. Now I have
all the pictures since I got Elli's picture last year. It's OK If you
are still missing Elli's though, she'll come any moment. Get married
right away once you get the pictures and you can stop visiting the Elves
from now on. You can plant some flowers in your greenhouse if you feel
like doing something different. It makes your greenhouse look very nice.

Eight Day- Elli is very likely to come during the ninth or tenth day of
autumn to get the picture so feel free to stay out after six o' clock.
You can also get your dog out of the greenhouse and put him next to the
dog by the potion shop to try to get some puppies. I went to church
today and I visited the town just to get away from work. I finished
leveling up my sickle today and now all my tools are golden. Work on
anything you need.

Ninth Day- Elli is very likely to come today. Don't worry if she doesn't
come today, she'll be here tomorrow. I wrote my horse most of the day
after taking care of the farm and visiting Elli. I would recommend for
you to do the same since it is an excellent way to raise your horse's
stamina. Keep on working and don't forget to get married as soon as you
get all the pictures.

Tenth Day- Elli MUST to come today, you have big problems if she
doesn't. After you get the picture (It's a picture about a potion?!) you
can do whatever you want. Now, for those of you who are married, today
you get to watch the fool moon with your wife late at night, your baby
will come with you if you have one. Forage or give away presents, your
money needs to stay above 15000G. You should've stopped chopping wood a
long time ago also.

Eleventh Day- Now it's time to get all the recipes! Go to your
greenhouse and make sure that you have enough room to plant a lot of
seeds. You will need to plant all kinds of vegetables and even flowers.
Now go to Lillia's shop and buy at least two bags of every vegetable. Go
to the farm and plant the seeds right away. Water the seeds and use any
item to relive tiredness. You can also use your bathtub if you look like
you might get sick. Then work on foraging for items that will give you
recipes and keep them in the refrigerator. Remember that I told you to
keep a few items from every season? Well now is the time to use them.

Twelfth Day- Quickly take care of the animals and water your new crops.
Not head to the square to experience the Harvest Festival. This festival
is one of the most important ones (Hey, it's named after the game). You
are very likely to become the king this year if you where not nominated
last year. Do not worry about the dishes, you can not bring any kind of
food like that to the festival. Just hang around and talk with people to
have a good time. Then cross your fingers and take the cake to see if
you are the king!

Thirteenth Day- Water your crops at the greenhouse and keep working on
the recipes. Do not ship any vegetables unless you are sure that you
will have enough left to get the other recipes. Check on the dog, he
might be a father by now! You might want to check on him everyday from
now on. You might have some crops by now, you never know. Buy a new
chicken if you sold the last one so that you can get the egg recipes.

Fourteenth Day- Work hard on your crops and don't let them die. Now that
you have all the pictures all you need to do now is get any secrets that
you are missing and make friends like crazy! Also, try to get other
girls to marry by giving away presents to their "boy friends." You can
stop making friends with the elves. Work on the farm if you need to,
make sure that you de-weed the land and that you fix any broken fences.
Your animals should be making you rich beyond your dreams. You should
get rid of the chicken as soon as you have any eggs that you needed.

Fifteenth Day- Work on the crops, the recipes, the berries, and the
friends. If get bored of getting those then try some fishing or
foraging. Check on the dog to see what's up with him and remember to
take care of the horse if you did not win the last horse race. You can
also keep on working on your grass fields. Once your fields are covered
with grass, get rid of any rocks that you have and build a wooden fence
around the field if possible. Work hard and make sure that you go to bed
early!

Sixteenth Day- No more goals for the rest of the game! Yes! You are
done! Now all you have to do is work on any secrets or house update that
you are missing. Get that blue feather and get married right away! As
soon as you married you must give your wife presents like crazy in order
to make her pregnant as soon as possible. Also, try to go to bed when
the sky darkens a second time. You will sleep with her this way. Get the
recipes, ALL of them! Get any power berries that you are missing. Fill
up your farm with animals and grass. Have fun!

Seventeenth Day- Drink like crazy today if you have the money. This will
ensure you a good time on next New Year's eve. Your wife needs to get
pregnant fast. Work hard on the farm and don't forget any goals that you
have in mind. Remember to make friends with everybody and make sure that
you get recipes on the process. Keep working hard.

Eighteenth Day- Chop more wood if you need to build a fence all around
the outer fields. Fill up the tool box with extra items that you might
have and empty your refrigerator but get recipes before you do anything
else. From on you have a big responsibility, you need to ship stuff
everyday from now on without missing one single day! At least five items
per day in order to get a good report from the shipper at the end of the
game.

Nineteenth Day- Try to get all the other couples married. Once you do
this go foraging to ship some items and get some recipes. You will have
to wait until spring if you don't have flowers and you need recipes. The
field needs to be covered with grass and have a fence around it before
the twenty fifth day meaning that you really need to concentrate on it
if you feel like you might not finish.

Twentieth Day- Quickly take care of the animals and ship whatever you
have in the greenhouse or the refrigerator. Now head over to the Flower
Bud village to participate in the best festival of the game (in my
opinion). Talk to the people and let the contest begin. You know the
rules, make sure that you look under the "Festivals" section if you need
any extra information on the festival. Once the festival is over you
might end up winning the Turtle Figurine.

Twenty First Day- Do whatever you want. Ship something and try to get
other couples married. It never hurts to make new friends and it never
hurts to try something new (unless it's really dumb). Do not concentrate
on one thing at a time. Divide the day into sections and hit the start
button to plan ahead on what you're going to do next. Remember to take a
quick look at that dog. Your wife should be getting presents everyday in
order to make her happy.

Twenty Second Day- A full barn, a full power berry tree, a full photo
album, all the recipes, tons of friends, a pregnant wife, a field full
of grass, and some chickens are your goals before the end of the summer.
It might be hard to get the recipes so don't worry about them. You need
to get as much done as possible. Do not wait until spring to get the
secrets because it will be too late. Keep your goals in mind and have a
drink if you haven't had one in a while.

Twenty Third Day- Take good care of that horse if you didn't win last
time. Get those couples married and work hard on the secrets. Don't
worry if you are low on money, you will get it back on winter at the
mine. Keep working and don't forget to ship stuff like crazy! Try to
make it over 10 items if possible! Keep working hard and don't get too
tired in the process. Remember to sleep early to avoid getting sick.

Twenty Fourth Day- Start raising money for the upcoming horse race! Your
crops should be helping you out big time with those recipes. You will
not socialize that much during Winter so make sure that you do not leave
those duties for later on. At least one couple need to marry before the
end of winter, make any arrangement in your schedule to make that
happen. Otherwise keep working on whatever you need and don't let a
anything stop you from making more friends.

Twenty Fifth Day- Autumn is almost over so it might be a good idea to
store a few items from the mountains in your refrigerator just in case
you might need them. Get more recipes and do whatever you need. You will
need some extra wood to replace any broken wood that makes up your fence
around the fields (did I say that right?). Remember to stop fishing
unless you are missing the power berries obtained by practicing that
sport.

Twenty Sixth Day- Keep working hard on the greenhouse in order to get
those recipes. Don't forget to give your girl lots of presents and to
ship as many items as you can everyday. You can also get the old sickle
and start working on cutting grass for a lifetime supply of foal. Be
careful not to hit the animals that are greasing outside while you cut
the grass. Now you have to get six chickens, I know I told you to sell
them before but now you need them back. You need at least four chickens.
Take your time getting those, you do not need them until spring.

Twenty Eight Day- Ship something fast and take care of the animal in
order to arrive to the horse race as soon as you can. I am assuming that
you won the last horse race so I did not tell you about entering the
contest yesterday. Anyway, try to make it to the first race. Now bet on
your favorite horse and reset the game if you do not win. Make sure that
you bet ninety-nine medals on your favorite horse. Have fun!

Twenty Ninth Day- Shipping is critical at this point. You need to start
shipping a ridiculous amount of items because that shipper will not give
you a good comment if you do not ship like crazy. You need to fish if
you haven't done so for a long time because you need to get a good
comment from the fisherman at the end of the game too. Your wife HAS to
be pregnant as soon as possible. Don't be lazy and leave your animals
inside the stable, let them go outside and check the weather channel to
look out for rain.

Thirtieth Day- Last day of Autumn, this means that you must go foraging
to get a few items from this season in the refrigerator. Make
arrangements if you need to and go fishing if haven't done so in a while
since fishing isn't that effective during winter (sometimes I try
fishing during winter the entire day and I don't even get a bite). Do
not chop wood today and make sure that you ship tons of items. Now lets
get ready for winter!

WINTER

First Day- Let's see, what are we missing? We've got the house
extensions, the pictures, the berries, the recipes, and we are married.
What are we missing? Well, you might be missing a few recipes. You might
be missing a few pictures, and maybe you haven't even married yet! Do
what you need to do. For now I would recommend that you get any secrets
that you are missing without having to worry about the money since the
mine will make you rich or richer. Nothing special today, you can chop
some wood to fix the fences once it starts snowing. Remember to take
care of your wife more than ever, you will have to buy fodder since you
have no access to the grass right now. Work on the secrets and remember
to take care of horse if you didn't win on the last race.

Second Day- The mine will not be open for a while so all you can do once
you take care of the farm is to socialize. Don't try fishing since it's
not that good during this season. You can also try to level up your
tools if you need to. As you can see I a going back and I am helping out
those who couldn't keep up with this challenging walkthrough. You need
to try to get six chickens now. Do not let your animals outside, they
will get sick if they leave the stable. Talk with people but try not to
talk to other girls unless you are single because it makes your wife
jealous.

Third Day- The greenhouse needs to be full of high-quality goods. Ship
any of your vegetables and then cut the plants. You need to get rid of
all the useless vegetables unless you are still missing a few recipes.
Then you need to plant strawberries all over the greenhouse, those
things will make you rich. Keep taking care of the animals as usual an
ride the horse if you are planning on entering the next horse race. You
give away gifts as long as you still have extra money left.

Fourth Day- You should buy strawberries until your card (for the raffle)
has at least thirty points in it. Plant the seeds if you need to and go
visit your friends. It should be dark by the time you come back, go
ahead and ship anything that you do not need from your refrigerator
unless you need certain recipes. Check on your supplies to see that you
have everything including a few extras of every item. You need to take a
look at what you are missing in order make sure you get it. You need to
think big! You need to get everything!

Fifth Day- Work on the greenhouse if you need to in the morning and
socialize in the afternoon. You can give the girls a present or two for
the next few days. This will help you receive more presents on the
Thanksgiving Day. The game is all about socializing now that taking care
of the farm takes just a few hours in the game thanks to the greenhouse.
I had to buy some fodder today, I am also running low on chicken feed.
Get what you need but don't stop working on what is essential.

Sixth Day- The greenhouse needs to be full with strawberries by now.
Now, go head over to Moon Mountain and chop wood. Yes, you need wood, if
you get lots of it now then you won't need any for a while. The problem
is that you need to build a fence around your grass fields and the wood
will get old. You will need to replace it. You can just go visit your
friends if you feel like you have more than enough wood to last for two
months.

Seventh Day- Get some wood if you need and water those strawberries. You
are growing money there so be very careful with them. Right now I want
you to chop wood, socialize, or ride the horse. Whichever one you feel
like working on. Do not waste your time and buy cakes for your wife. It
is always a great idea to buy cakes and seeds top gain points for the
raffle. You might want to check on the dog if you haven't done so in a
while to see if he is now a father.

Eight Day- Work on the berries and take care of the animals. You should
have three or four chickens by now. Buy a chicken if that is not the
case. Now it's time to stop working on whatever you are doing and head
over to the mine! You need to use the bathtub a few times to prevent
sickness and you need to drink milk from your cows until your energy is
full before you go. You might want to start filling up the refrigerator
with cakes because you will need to take at least two with you to the
mine. Once you are done mining you can ship your minerals. Give one rare
mineral to Rick if you got one or if you didn't give him one last
winter.

Ninth Day- Just like yesterday, take care of the farm, fill up your
energy, pack up a few cakes and head over to the mine! Dig like crazy
until you pass out or you run out of time. Try to reach the bottom level
to get really good stuff. You might find some rare roots along the way.
Keep working and try to get all six chickens before the twelfth. Winter
is the month to make money, go ahead and make as much as you want!

Tenth Day- Take care of the berries and the animals. Quickly go check on
the dog and then head over to your farm. Call your horse and ride it the
entire day! Yes, many people will come giving you presents now that
you've been talking with people and giving a way presents. If you don't
get that many presents then you need to pay more attention to this
walkthrough. Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Eleventh Day- The rest of winter is basically the same routine. You get
up and take care of the farm, then you recover your energy and you go
mining. Once you are done you can talk with people the rest of the day.
Now, you must follow this routine for the next few days until the dog
race on the nineteenth day. I will go over a few tips for those of you
who are a little bit behind. Let me explain. I will write down something
that needs to be done for the next seven days. If you have already
accomplished that, go ahead and follow the daily routine for that day.
If you haven't done what I ask for, go ahead and follow my suggestions
for that day. Here it goes!

Twelfth Day- All home extensions need to be complete. If you have them
then follow the daily routine. If not, I am assuming that you are
missing something like the log terrace or the baby bed. Go chop wood in
the mountains if you need to and sell whatever you have if you need to
get more money. You need to order those right away as soon as possible.

Thirteenth Day- Your greenhouse if up to full capacity. Go get a few of
your extra seeds (I told you to get extras) and start plowing in order
to plant them. Remember to water your crops after they have been
planted. Hey, you might even have time to go to the mine! If you feel
like you will only waste your time there then you can go chop more wood.

Fourteenth Day- Your farm needs to have all as many animals as it can
hold. Go buy any animals that you are missing as soon as you can. Don't
worry about it if you have a chicken that is about to be born or a cow
that is pregnant unless those animals are not the last one you need.
Again, you might have time to go to the mine or to talk with people. You
might work on this for a couple of days since you can only buy one
animal per day.

Fifteenth Day- Your money needs to be above 20000G. This one shouldn't
be a problem at all. I other words, just go visit the mine today. Make
sure that you buy any animals that you need and that you get those house
extensions. One more thing I want to mention AGAIN, is that all of your
tools need to be at level three by now. Work hard on the mine and don't
forget to bring a few cakes with you to recover some energy.

Sixteenth Day- You need to have a fence all around the grass fields. You
can still tell where the grass is on winter if you pay close attention
to the land. Go ahead and chop wood if that's what you need. Start
working on finishing the fence and stay until late if you need to. You
need to start thinking about getting things done as soon as possible
because next spring will be the weirdest month of all! You cannot wait
to get to get things done so go to work, there's always something to do.

Seventeenth Day- Both of your raffle cards need to have at least thirty
points. This one is easy, if you are missing any points just buy more
cakes or flowers whenever you have a chance. Do not worry about the
flowers tough since you can't buy them until spring. So if buy extra
cakes if you are missing points on the flower card. Once you are done
you may visit the farm if you have any extra time. Don't forget to visit
people tough.

Eighteenth day- You need to get all the possible extra items. This
includes a good potion, all kinds of seeds, etc. You need to get these
and keep them in your toolbox located in the bedroom area. Once you are
done you can talk or give away presents to people for the rest of the
day. You can go to the mine if want, go take a look at the dog really
quickly to see if he's OK. You can enter your dog into the race if you
want but there's no need to do it since he already won last year (Did
he?). When the day gets dark you can go ahead and write on your diary.

Nineteenth Day- The next few days are very busy. Quickly take care of
the farm and then head over to the square and star betting on your
favorite dog. Bet ninety-nine medals to one dog and restart the game if
you do not win until you get it. Don't waste your medals since you need
to save them to get that beautiful new stable. Talk with people during
the festival and buy some snacks if you want. When the third race is
over you can go to bed.

Twentieth Day- It's back to regular work. You can go ahead and follow
the regular routine to make money. If you are sick of mining then you
can talk with your friends, ride the horse, or chop some wood. Get
anything you are missing whether it is an item, a cow, a recipe, or a
chicken. You can waste your time if you are really bored or you can try
something new but do not just stand there if you are low on money or you
need something.

Twenty First Day- Follow the regular winter routine. Today is just like
yesterday so get anything you need and do not waste your time unless you
have noting to do and you are waiting for me to give you an assignment
(I will). Fix the fence if you need to and don't work to hard outside if
its snowing. Check on the dog before you sleep.

Twenty Second Day- Well, for those of you ho have nothing to do here's a
little assignment. Your greenhouse should be empty because you already
sold all the strawberries. Go ahead and plot (fertilize) the entire
greenhouse. Once you are done just leave the greenhouse alone for now.
Follow the regular working day if you finish quickly and visit your
friends.

Twenty Third Day- Work like you always do. Your money needs to remain
over 10000G no matter what you do. Think of it as a precaution. That
mine should be getting you a lot money now that the greenhouse is empty.
Remember to get whatever you are missing and to never let a day go by
without making money (unless you are sick of having so much money)!

Twenty Fourth Day- Today is the most romantic day (should I call it
nigh?) of the year. The stars will cover the sky today, the Starry Night
is here. Keep working today and go look for your girl (If you are a bad
boy who is still single) at night. Maria, Elli, and Ann will be at the
church. Popuri will be at Moon Mountain and Karen will be at the beach.
You watch the start with your wife if you are married. If you are very
sensible to these kinds of this then I suggest you go to bed early.

Twenty Fifth Day- Regular working day. These are the kinds of days that
I hate in the game. You just have nothing to do. Well, go make a few
friends or visit the ones you already have. You can also try to get some
recipes or even a power berry that you are missing. You can also go
check on your dog or you can ride your horse all day long!

Twenty Sixth Day- Just like yesterday, go get what you need before you
get what you want. Your imagination can work today, do whatever you want
as long as it doesn't mess up anything you've done. I like to talk with
people during winter because winter is a sad-looking moth and everybody
gets really happy when they see you. You can choose a partner to play at
the square tomorrow if you are the king and you have the ocarina.

Twenty Seventh Day- Take care of the farm as usual and head over to the
square after a while to experience the Spirit Festival. You will be able
to play the ocarina if you are the king this year. You will have to be a
part of the audience if you are not the king. It's a very simple
festival but the music is pretty lovely (don't you think?).

Twenty Eight Day- Well, winter is almost over. You buy some strawberry
seeds just to keep in your toolbox. The New Year will bring the big
party were everybody gets drunk. Get your empty bottle and go to the
vineyard to drink until you get sick it (in real life, not the game).
Keep working as usual and get things done before spring because it will
be a very weird month.

Twenty Ninth Day- Don't relax yet, work hard today and go visit Karen.
It's her birthday! You ca visit her anytime you want and you can skip
mining today to talk with people. Your farm needs to be in perfect
condition before spring. Cure any sick animals and repair any broken
fences. Say good bye to the snow because spring is only a day away.

Thirtieth Day- Today is the last day of winter but most important, today
is the last day of the year! Get your wallet and go buy some cakes! It's
time to celebrate here. Go to the bar or to the church at night if are a
bad single boy. Spend the night with your wife if you are a good married
man. Happy New Year! Your dad is already thinking about visiting your
lovely farm. Boy will he be surprised!

*** Third Year and Beyond **
****************************

Great job! Your farm is now the best one ever made! I was going to write
a walkthrough form the first month of this year but I realized (while I
was writing it) that all I could do is remind you to do anything you
have missed in the past. Just like I've been telling you, get anything
you are missing. Plant more grass, build a fence, get more animals, etc.
Just make sure that you do not skip the festivals. Check your mailbox at
the beginning of this year to receive a letter from your father. Take
good care of your wife and go on as far as you can. While I am writing
this, I am on my nineteenth spring. There's still many secrets that I
don't know of and sometimes I really get sick of this game. As you can
see, I liked this game so much I had to make this FAQ. Whenever you get
bored, take a look at the "How to make the annoying fun" section or
email me and I will post more suggestions.

That's it! Now that you have everything I've found, go look for thing
that no one has found.

OK, here's how this guide is going to work. Instead of writing a
walkthrough for everything, I will give you deadline to accomplish
certain goals and I will also add some hints and tips.

FIRST YEAR
Third Day of Spring- Go visit the fisherman and get the fishing rod.

Fifteenth Day of Spring- You should have all of the secrets that involve
fishing by today including the pond berry and the beach berry.

SECOND YEAR
Nothing really, just keep on fishing every other day.

THRID YEAR
Nothing really, just keep on fishing every other day.

GENERAL HINTS AND TIPS
Go visit the fisherman and Elli every other day because those two guys
seem to be the only ones who enjoy fishing. You might want to try
visiting the bakery owner since he seems to be a little interested in
fishing as well.

Try to marry Elli in order to become better friends with her father.
Learn to let go of the rod in the right time, don't let go of the
control and let of off the "A" button if you see the slightest movement.

Cliff likes to go fishing too. Get in the habit of fishing first thing
in the morning until midday and then take good care of your crops and
animals.

FIRST YEAR
Twentieth Day of Spring- You should have a nice patch of grass
surrounded by wood near the stable. The grass should be getting near to
being fully grown so plan ahead.

Twenty Second Day trough Twenty Fifth Day of Spring- Buy a cow during
any of these days and start taking care of it first thing in the
morning.

Twenty Third Day of Spring trough Fifth Day of Summer- Buy the milker
and the brush during these days and make good use of them. I strongly
suggest that you buy the brush first if you are short on money.

First Day of Autumn- You cow should be fully grown by now. Do not
impregnate her yet but make sure that she gives you high quality milk to
win the contest coming up.

Second day of Autumn- Make sure that you enter your cow into the contest
today. There is no need to buy more cows just yet.

Third Day of Autumn- Go to the Green Ranch to watch over your cow. Cross
your fingers and hope you win the contest. If your cow gives high
quality milk, expect her to win. Leave her outside greasing to get a
picture :) with the girls.

Fourth Day trough Sixth Day of Autumn- Go buy a second cow and take good
care of him/her as much as you took care of the first one.

Eighteenth Day trough Twenty First Day of Autumn- Buy a third cow during
any of these days and keep taking care of it.

First Day trough Last Day of Winter- Do not let your cows out during any
of these days. Keep them inside were it is nice and warm. Impregnate the
second cow you bought. This cow should be giving high quality milk by
now. Keep taking care of the first and second one normally.

SECOND YEAR
First Day trough Last Day of Spring- Easy here, buy two more during this
month. As soon as your little baby cow is born, get the third cow that
you bought pregnant. You should have six cows by now. Three that you
bought during the first year, two that you bought during this month, and
one little cow that was born during the late winter or the early spring.

Fifteenth Day of Summer- You need to have seven cows by now and be
thinking of getting another one before autumn. All of your cows need to
be fully grown and healthy before the end of the year.

First Day of Autumn- Choose a cow for the cow contest which will take
place during the third day of autumn. Your barn needs to be full of
healthy cows waiting to grow up!

Second Day of Autumn- enter your favorite cow to the contest today. Make
sure that the cow you chose gives high quality milk otherwise you are
not going to win.

Third Day of Autumn- Again, go to the Green Ranch and have fun watching
your cow win the contest!

First Day of Winter trough Last Day of Winter- It's chilly outside so
just keep your cows inside. I would suggest that you start buying lots
of grass seed by now. You will also need a lot of wood in your stockpile
for later on.

THIRD YEAR
First Day of Spring- Star Fertilizing your entire land outside because
you are about to plant a lot of seeds. You might need to level up your
hoe since it makes the job much easier. Use the level up technique to
get the golden hoe fast.

Tenth Day of Spring- Your entire land need to be fertilized with a
wooden fence around it by now. Now its time to plant all the grass seeds
that you have been saving. What? You haven't saved grass seeds? Well,
the field needs to be full of grass before your dad comes! Put your
veggies in the greenhouse and leave the cows outside to show them to
your dad when he comes.

GENERAL HINTS AND TIPS

Watch the weather channel every morning. If your cow is outside during a
storm, both you and the animal will not be happy. Don't even bother
leaving your cows outside during winter because they will get sick.

Before the cow contest, Stu's brother will come to your house to tell
you which cow has a better chance of winning at the contest. I highly
recommend that you choose the cow that he mentions to get a better
chance of winning.

You must start your day by brushing, milking, talking, and feeding the
cows. It will get annoying but there is no way around it unless you
leave them outside.

Keep extra fodder and medicine just in case something funny happens.
This might sound weird but once my cow got sick and the store at the
green ranch was closed. Without medicine, my cow died next day. If you
want to avoid a boring speech from the priest, take care of your cows!

FIRST YEAR
Third Day of Spring trough Twelfth Day of Spring- Go to the bar at least
once during these days and have as much whine/beer as you can, no milk
or water!

Twenty Third Day of Spring- Have enough money to buy the bottle from
Rick today. You might need to save a few coins for it.

Rest of First Year- Get the bottle and fill it up with whine at the
vineyard for free. Drink up! Now make sure that you keep drinking at
least once every two weeks.

SECOND YEAR
First Day of Spring- Go to the square to show off your drinking skills,
you should have no problem beating everyone if you had at least two or
three drinks a month.

THIRD YEAR
There's nothing left to do!

GENERAL HINTS AND TIPS
You only need ten or twelve drinks to beat everyone at the square during
the new year celebration so don't waste your money on buying alcoholic
drinks. If you really want to drink so bad, go to the vineyard and get
it for free.

If you are trying to get Karen to be your wife, becoming a good drinker
is easy. Just drink in front of her to amaze her, kills two birds with
one shot.

| Hints / Tips /
|_______________/

Hum Well, lets begin. I have written this FAQ giving out helpful
information and the best tips to become a better farmer under each
section. I will only write the tips I haven't written trough out this
FAQ.

Keeping food in your refrigerator can be helpful for many purposes. You
fill out the whole refrigerator of wild berries to give them to Karen
during summer and winter since you won't find them during those seasons.
Nothing makes Karen happier than wild Berries.

If you make one of your cows pregnant and that cow used to give large
milk your new baby cow will give large milk too as soon as it becomes
an adult.

Chickens will become easier to take care of if you marry someone
responsible like Elli. She will ship the eggs and feed the chickens for
you most of the time.

Be nicer than ever to your girl after you marry to have a baby.

If you have a lot of money and nothing to spend it on, buy gifts and
give them away. You might be surprised at how much people will give in
return.

Letting your animals out on nice days will help them give you better
products faster.

Get a greenhouse as soon as you can.

Go to every festival you can.

Resting in your bathroom will not waste time and you can be completely
relieved of tiredness if you get into the hot tub enough times.

Watch the Educational Programs in TV. They are very boring but you can
learn a thing or two.

Watch the weather forecast everyday. You wouldn't what to leave your
animals out when a typhoon strikes.

Become friends with the Elves at the caves. They will be the best ones
you will have.

You can get some free whine by standing in front of the whine barrel at
the basement of the whine storage room. You must have an empty bottle to
do so.

Look up the "How to Play" section in the game's main menu. It will give
you a quick reminder on how to use tools, how to raise your crops, and
how to cultivate them. The "Tools" section is very general. The "Raising
Crops" section includes reclamation, cultivation, seeding, watering, and
harvesting. The cultivation section includes chickens, cows, sheep,
horse, and dog. This is not a very detailed guide so only use it as a
quick reminder if you forget anything. You can always stop an
explanation by pressing "Start". To exit the menu, select back as many
time as needed.

Check your mailbox everyday.

If you are very tired and you still have work to do, use your house's
bathroom instead of the hot spring since time does not go by in your
bathroom. Saving a few seconds in this game is very important.

On the day before your father comes, leave all of your animals outside
greasing or else your father will say that your farm looks very lonely.

Grow all of your crops in a 3 x 3 way. When they grow you should have
one in the middle that still hasn't been collected. Use the sickle on
one of the crops you have already collected to get the one in the
middle. This is only for tomatoes and corn because all of the other
vegetables can only be produced once before they disappear.

It is OK to keep working when you use your handkerchief or when you
start sweating but you must stop when you begin to fall down. Only work
until you sweat on rainy days to prevent sickness.

Getting sick is a pain when you have animals. If you worked very hard on
Tuesday and you are sick on Wednesday, your cows and sheep will probably
be sick. Since the Green Ranch is closed on Thursday then you will not
be able to get medicine causing your animals to die.

Most of the time you will go straight to bed after a festival. Notice
that the game will not save after this. The meaning is that you have to
write your diary at the end of the day after the festival to save your
progress.

Leave your dog inside the greenhouse to prevent a typhoon from blowing
it away.

Hit the "A" or "B" button to make text scroll faster.

Give the old man by Rick's a blue stone and he will give you a blue
vase.

Go to the top of Moon Mountain during Autumn on the eleventh or the
twelfth to find a super rare item! You can sell it but I would keep it
for sure!

Marry a hard-working girl! If you marry Elli she will crate the eggs and
feed the chickens. If you married marry Ann she will do the same but she
will rarely crate the eggs. If you marry Popuri she will water a few
patches of your land and she will sometimes crate the eggs. Maria will
crate the eggs and de-weed the fields. Karen will only crate the eggs
and she might drop them sometimes.

Thanks to EARTSHAKER for this one-
It isn't necessary to POUND the button during the swimming festival.
Hitting it at a constant quick pace (not pounding it) each time your
stroke ends works better most of the time.

The roof of your house is not a good place to leave your chickens! Trust
me, they die even tough they stay outside.

Use a tool a lot in the bathroom. Once you are tired and you can't go
anymore, go into the bathtub until your energy is back on track. Then
keep using your tool until it levels up. This might take forever but It
works pretty well.

Here's a mini guide on how to woo all the girls by JOE C.

1.Do all your work in the morning then give gifts to girls all day.
Example: Give Popuri a flower, then talk to her. Give Karen a berry then
talk to her. Give Elli eggs/milk then talk to her. Give Ann
corn/wool/potato then talk to her. Give Maria cabbage/insects then talk
to her.

2. Keep repeating the process i showed above. Then on the fireworks go
with the girl who has the lowest heart rating. On the Starry Night
Festival do the same. The same for dancing.

3.Be nice to the girls' families. That should be a big thing. Always
give positive answers to them and talk to them when u visit your girl.

4.Give presents to the girls on their birthdays. This will help greatly.

5.The dreams: Popuri: After you have a dream about a girl picking a
flower then falling, go to the mountains. Climb the tree and help her
up. Ann: After you have a dream about climbing a tree to look at birds,
you will fall. Go to the area in the mountains with the log cabin and
the camera will focus on Ann. Maria: You will have a dream about the
library then go to the library and give Maria the book. Elli: You will
have a dream about kids playing house then go to the second part of town
and you will see kids playing house and Elli.

Note: Girls must have a yellow/blue heart for these dreams to happen.

6.Visit the girls when they get sick on rainy/snowy days. This will only
happen once to go to their homes when it rains/snows.

Note: The girls must have a yellow/blue heart for them to get sick.

You can water and harvest crops faster if you plant them between the
pond and the chicken coop (more useful if you don't have greenhouse)

| How to make anything annoying fun! /
|____________________________________/

Believe it or not, this does become a problem later on the game. There
are steps that you have to follow in order to accomplish something.
Sometimes this can be very annoying indeed. Well, I have few suggestions
that will make this game a litter better.

Crops- Are you tired of the everyday process of watering your corn at
the greenhouse and collecting the goods every once in a while? When then
get the sickle and cut them all out! Seriously, It might be hard at the
beginning but then you will realize how much better the game will get. I
would suggest for you to go fishing for a few days and then get money
from your animals. Here's what you can do afterwards, buy at least ten
of each kind of seeds and make with them! For example, you can make a
happy face with tomato eyes, a corn nose, and some eggplant hair! Still
missing a mouth? Then get any seed and plant it to get a mouth. Just
have fun.

Animals- This too becomes very annoying. You get up, you talk to your
animals, you brush them, and you milk your cows. This becomes a boring
everyday routine after a while. Not to mention if you own some chickens.
Yes, animals are very important in the game and become very useful once
they start giving you high quality goods. This is my idea, it takes a
lot of time but it is so much fun once it is done. Get wood, a lot of
wood. Now once you have a couple thousand pieces make a maze of fences
in your yard with them. Now go on and get one of your cows and try to
make them go from one side of the maze to the other by pushing them
before the day goes by. This will become too easy with practice, now try
it by ringing your bell only! Is it still too easy? Them a bigger maze.
Remember that the bigger the maze, the bigger the challenge. Chickens?
Sell them all, they are useless. As I said before, chickens are for
reproducing and selling.

Mining- There are two things you can do with it. You either don not go
to the mine, or you can make figures with the hoe. Try making a contest
where you see how fast you can find a hole. The rules are: if you dig
twice on the same spot, you loose. If find more than seven coins on the
process, the first rule is canceled. The last rule is that you place in
your backpack every mineral you get. You may not throw away a mineral
unless your backpack is full. My brother and I found a power berry
playing this game.

Foraging- I have found many ways to make this much more fun but my
favorite is the obstacle course. Start of by at your house and make a
course anyway you want. Lets say you run off and pick up everything in
the fisherman's tent, then you have to get a fish from the pond in the
same area. Now you run up the mountain and pick up everything there is
the next area. Go across the bridge and jump down to the cave area and
get anything on the way back home. My record is 41 seconds, the trick is
to get a fish as fast as you can. See if you can come up with your own.

Fishing- Variety is the trick. Go fishing on the pond for one day and
then go to the beach the next day. Fishing still tends to get boring
after a little while.

Taking care of the horse- Easy enough, just keep him near your house and
brush him when you come out every morning. Then you can ride him to your
stable. After you take care of the animals you can ride him to the hen
house. Yes, it's that simple, all you have to do is ride your horse
whenever you need to move from one place to another at your farm. You
won't even notice the horse after a while.

Having fun with the baby- If you have enough money, get rid of all your
crops in the greenhouse. Then create 2 identical mazes. Take your dog
and put him at the start. Then get your baby, Taro, Jiro, or any thing
else that moves and you can pick up and put it at the other start and
see who gets to the finish first. It may take a while but it's fun! Make
a bet with your buddies to see who wins. Use the whistle if you are
racing your dog or you have to wait a very long time.

Star Over- Are you sick of the same old cows? This is very cruel but
it's fun. Get the sickle or the axe (I prefer the sickle) and get that
cow! You will feel very different about them and you can sell them
afterwards. I did this on my fourteenth summer and I felt like I didn't
need a cow after that. Do not beat the poor animal and keep it, I'm sure
that thing will not what to hear about you after that.

Shipping- I love this one. Get your vegetable and close your eyes. See
if you can get it to the shipping box without dropping it! Make sure you
add some challenge to it or it won't be any fun.

General Challenge- Try playing with the controller upside down. You can
try this for any game!

Thanks to EARTHSHAKER for this one!
Another Maze Mini Game- During the summer, hoe up your whole field.
Then, create a maze by hammering down any spaces of land you don't want
blocked and create various paths. Go to the flower shop and buy tons of
corn seeds, and a few packages of tomato seeds, and sprinkle them
around. Plant tomato seeds first, at dead ends around the maze that
hasn't grown. Hoe up almost all of the seeds you've planted, except for
one or two. Then, sprinkle the rest of the tilled land with corn seeds.
Water them until they all grow. Attach a piece of cardboard around your
TV so that you can only see a small area around Jack, and see how fast
you can make your way through the maze, with a catch: you must get eight
tomatoes before exiting. You can not exit the same place you entered
the maze from. The cardboard on the TV makes this a lot harder, so
remove it if you can't handle the pressure. This is also a great game
to play with friends. Of course, you may want to create a new maze
every now and then. :-D. You can also try to play your shipping game
with this where you have to carry a vegetable to it without breaking it.

The cow race- Horses can race, dog can race, but what about the cows?
Well, clear the land outside and set the course with lumber. Line up the
cows and ring the bell. I tried it and It is now always a tie. If you
put small patches of grass, the cows will get distracted and they will
stay behind greasing. Make different courses and make them neat!
Decorate with flowers or anything you want and let the race begin.

Night fun- Go into town late at night and start ringing your bell. Then
get a bunch of eggs and a few cakes. Now use them in front of the
houses! Hehehehe, look at Popuri's flowers! All covered with eggs!

These are just a few ideas that I came up with. I do this on almost
every game I own to get more fun out of it.

Send me any of your ideas and I will post them here! Full credit will be
given.

| The Land /
|________________/

This section will talk about everything that has something to do with
that big piece of land in your farm.

There are many ways to plant your crops. My personal favorite is the
original 3 x 3 square area but I like to plant my crops in rows also.

[][][]
[][][]
[][][]

3 x 3 Areas will give you a lot of money but you have to be very patient
if you do not have a level three watering can. Here's the reason, a
level one can only water one little square. A level two watering can
will water a 3 x 1 area depending on where you are standing. Here's a
little map that will show you how it works.

O [][] "O" Represents the area where you are standing. If you
[][][] water towards your crops you will water the three "[]"
[][][] that are located in the corner of the square where you
                  are standing.

O ()[] The "() represents the area that would be watered.
()()[]
[][][]

These are a few other ways that I consider efficient in some situations.

"P" Format

[][][] This is a good way to plant your crops because you can
[][][] still pick up the vegetable in the middle if you stand
[][] in the corner.

"W" Format

[] [] This is also good if because you can still get the
[][][] vegetable in the middle.
[][][]

"U" Format

[] [] This one is not very effective but it is necessary if
[] [] you have fences on the back row and you have no way to
[][][] pick up all of the vegetables.

()[] []() The "()" Represents fences or rocks. The "[]" are your
()[] []() crops. As you can see, there is no way to pick up the
()[][][]() three that are right by the fence if you make a "W"
()()()()() format.

"Rolls" Format

[][][] I used these once and I did not like them They can be
collected fast with the horse though.
[][][]

"O" Format

[][][] This one works pretty well sometimes since you do not
[] [] have to worry about picking up the vegetable in the
[][][] middle.

"X" Format

[] [] I have no idea how you might use this but I just
  [] wanted to mention it.
[] []

"H" Format

[] [] I have used this before so I think it's OK to use this
[][][] format if you feel like experimenting. You might end
[] [] using this format if you have a situation like this-

()[] []() This might happen sometimes.
()[][][]()
()[] []()
()()()()()

[] Are crops
() Are fences

"T" Format

[][][] I ended up using this format once but it was a long
[] time ago so I forgot why I decided to make it like
  [] this.

"I" Format

[][][] Same as "H" format, except the it's a little different.
  []
[][][]

This is a very efficient way to grow your crops. Thanks to EARTHSHAKER
for this one.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] Grow your crops like this if you
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] planted any spring vegetable or
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] strawberries. It is easy to water
this format with a level three
                                       watering can.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] Use this for summer and autumn
()[][][][][][][][][][][][][][] vegetables. The "()" means a
[][][]()[][]()[][]()[][]()[][] blank spot.

Thanks again to EARTHSHAKER for this one. It's a really interesting way
to grow your crops. You can only use this with spring vegetables and
strawberries or else you will have a hard time picking them up.

I haven't tried this next one but it looks like it might work. Thanks to
Crazy Rob for it! It looks like you use this format at the greenhouse.

LEGEND
x = Crops

..................	OK, he said that this format is very effective
:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:	also very expensive. He recommends that you use
:x---xx-xx-xx---x:	tomatoes. You get 37 harvest in one year of 173
:xxx-xx-xx-xx-xxx:	tomatoes. Each tomato is worth 100G. So 172
:xxx-xx-xx-xx-xxx:	times 100 equals 17300G. Now, 17300G times 37
:x---xx-xx-xx---x:	equals 640100G. Now all you have to do is
:xxx-xx-xx-xx-xxx:	subtract the money you used up buying tomatoes
:xxx-xx-xx-xx-xxx:	which totals 10800G (36 bags should've been
:x---xx-xx-xx---x:	bought). So 640100G minus 10800G totals 629300G
:xxx-xx-xx-xx-xxx:	In one year! Even if the explanation sounds very
:xxx-xx-xx-xx-xxx:	confusing, the point is that you make a lot of
:x---xx-xx-xx---x:	money in one year! I used to think that corn was
:xxx-xx-xx-xx-xxx:	the best vegetable to grow because it was worth

Well, here I will post weird questions that I ask myself while I play
HM64. Feel free to send me any questions that come across your mind when
you play this game! Note that some of these are just sarcastic comments
that make the game unrealistic.

SLEEPING
Hum, this one is tough. Have you ever wondered where do people sleep in
the game? The girls have their rooms and so do the kids. But where does
everybody else sleep? Could it be that they lay down on the grassy
fields of your farm? At least Karen's parents have a couch, it might
turn into a bed! I bet the major sleeps on a bench at the Town Square!

SEASON CHANGE
Wow! It that snow sure does fall pretty fast doesn't it? It was nice one
day and all of the sudden the weather changes dramatically. I bet
there's some sort of machine that makes the snow appear overnight!

CLOTHING
This is gross but how come everybody wears the same clothes everyday?
The only exception I've found is when a girl becomes the princess. Those
clothes must be pretty stinky? I also see people change their clothes
when they go to the beach. Still, kind of sick isn't it? This happens in
basically every video game!

FORAGING
How about this one! How come the trees grow back overnight? I mean, in
what planet does Harvest Moon 64 take place? The items from the
mountains always re-appear over night and they stay in the exact same
location. Pretty weird isn't it? Well, I'm guessing that Harvest Moon 64
takes place inside a biosphere and the scientist who are studying your
survival skill put new trees and items while everybody is asleep.

ODORS
We all know all the good things that go into our shipping bin, but what
happens when you put them together? If you put 3 fishes, 8 tomatoes, 8
corn and 16 turnips in one morning, That bin should smell like a rotten
fish-vegetable. Perhaps god old grandpa saved lots of money to buy an
anti-odor shipping bin?

TOOL LEVEL UP
Oh man! I wish this happened in real life! Wouldn't it be great to use a
tool so much that is would actually turn gold? Well, my computer and my
video games would be pure gold by now.

BAD ANIMALS
What happens when you hurt an animal with your axe one hundred time in
Harvest Moon 64? They cry one hundred times! What happens when you hurt
an animal with an axe one hundred times? There's beef for dinner!

QUICK CHANGE
Go to your bathroom and take a bath. Quick isn't it? I wish I could
change my clothes so fast like our little buddy does. He must've
practiced that a lot.

WORKING
Whenever you order a house extension, those carpenters just stay outside
and move around. They don't really look like they are working. But the
house extension suddenly appears after three days. I would say they
summon the extension by moving like that instead of building it.

AGING
It doesn't work, as simple as that. It looks like the people in the game
have found the secret to everlasting life. I mean, I'm on my nineteenth
year right now and my character still looks like he is fourteen of
something. It's the same with animals, they never die if you take care
of them.

MONEY
Why does everything cost so much in the game? A little bag of grass
seeds doesn't cost you five hundred dollars! Have you seen the price of
the brush? It's ridiculous, I would never buy a brush for that amount!

GRATEFUL? THANKS! I GOT THAT TWO FEET AWAY FROM YOU!
Thanks to Cray Z Dre for this one! This is what he wrote:
Did you ever notice...I have to give you some examples...

-The herbs in the cave; you see your little elf buddy, right? You give
him herbs, which are right in front of his nose, and he's grateful! See
what I'm saying? Okay...

-How about when you see Cliff near the river; there are flowers, er
whatever, right as his feet. You pick them, give them to him, and he's
grateful.
The point is, that there's a lack of reality there. I don't believe that
if I gave you flowers from your own garden you'd be too happy...err, at
least I wouldn't :-)

Come on people! You guys can come up with some good ones! Let's hear
them!

This document has been written for it to appear at Gamefaqs.com. This
script may not be copied in any way and/or published in any way. Any
commercial use of this FAQ is strictly forbidden and can only be used
for personal usage. Any necessary legal action will take place if any of
these rules are violated. Penalty for plagiarism will be convicted.
Harvest Moon is 1999, Natsume Inc.

Would you like to read that in English? Here it goes.

I made this FAQ for it to be used on the World Wide Web and nothing
else! It can not be posted on any page except for Gamefaqs.com,
GameWinners.com, http://turkey-hunter.tripod.com/hm64, and
Dgames.u41.com. Listen to me all of you losers who steal rewrite FAQs
and reproduce them for business or other uses other than personal. This
is my first FAQ and I can tell you that it takes a darn long time and a
lot of effort to write. If you want this FAQ on your page so far you can
do one of two things: You sit down and write FAQ and stop writing simple
HTML documents Or you E-mail me asking for permission to make a link to
this site. You may do nothing else but that. I am did not write this for
people to steal it, It has been made for people to print it and read it.
Therefore I will take action if any of these rules are violated in
direct or indirect ways.

Now, if you have a very interesting web site and you would like my FAQ
on it, here's what you have to do:

First of all, you must send me and email telling me why you want my FAQ
in your site. You must also give me the address of it so I can check it
out before I give you permission. The only web site that doesn't need to
ask is Gamewinners.com and that's it!

Once I give you permission, you must keep up with it. Meaning that
anytime I make an update, you will need to make sure that the update
also reaches your site.

I copy and paste every single email I get regarding my FAQ so don't even
think of cheating the old way. "But you gave me permission" is a phrase
that I hear a lot. Did I give this person permission? Of course not! And
I can't handle the situation, I will notify the owner of Gamefaqs.com,
as simple as that.

| Questions /
|_____________/

Q: How do I get inside little hole in the elf's cave?
A: You can't enter the little hole. It connects to your stable so that
the elves can feed your animals during a typhoon.

Q: Where is the music box?
A: Yes, I had trouble with this one. Those maps that everybody makes to
show the location are hard to understand. Stand by the tree where you
found the map and face the fields. Go towards the fields in a straight
line from the tree and walk exactly ten spaces from the beginning of the
fields. The box is in the eleventh place so dig a lot in the same spot
until you find it.

Q: How come I didn't get a present from Karen on my birthday?
A: You have become friends with her or she will care less about your
birthday.

Q: How do I use my kitchen?
A: The kitchen is used to store your food in the refrigerator and it is
also used to keep track of the power berries and the recipes that you've
collected. You can not cook or do anything like that. Your wife will
hang around in the kitchen to "cook" dinner although she never gives you
any of it.

Q: How do I ask Rick to fix my music box?
A: I got confused when somebody asked me this question. All I did was
talk to him and he fixed it. I think that you need to buy everything
from his shop, including the blue feather for him to notice the box. If
you still can't get it fixed then try giving him a few gifts.

Q: Is there a second album?
A: No, simple enough for you? It's a dumb rumor.

Q: Can I get the presents from the girls if I am already married?
A: Nope! Sorry, you can always start a new game.

Q: I revived the tree at the vineyard but Karen hasn't asked me out to
take a picture. What's happening?
A: It could be many reasons. Her heart should be yellow or red and you
must be single. You probably haven't waited long enough or you revived
the tree too late. Remember that she will only take you to get the
picture during Fall.

Q: What is "Miso"?
A: I asked myself this question and I got a few answers on my mailbox,
It's supposed to be a sweet been paste but someone told me that it is a
flavoring for soup.

Q: Can I get the picture with Ann if I'm already married to her?
A: No, you can't. Same thing with all the other girls.

Q: How do I get Karen's picture and recipe once she is gone?
A: As far as I know there is no way to get them, I've waited for years
and she never comes back.

Q: Will there be a player's guide?
A: He! Beats me.

Q: Is it true that Elli's grandmother dies?
A: Sadly it is. Once you become friends with her she will die after a
while. The priest will say a few words during her funeral.

Q: How do I get the fourth channel and what is it?
A: There are many rumors that the elves come by and fix it for you but
it is all a lie. The booklet that comes with the game says that it is
the entertainment channel.

Q: Are there any secrets that can only be accessed only by using a
gameshark?
A: The answer is no. No game in the world needs a gameshark to open
secrets.

Q: How do I make up my own gameshark codes for HM64?
A: I have absolutely no idea.

Q: I've been playing for four years and my greenhouse hasn't been
affected by a typhoon. Is it still possible for it to fall apart?
A: Yes, you've been very lucky that your greenhouse survived more than
two typhoons. Your greenhouse can still be blown away by a typhoon.

Q: Can I still revive the vineyard if I am married to Karen?
A: No, you can't. You must be single to revive the vineyard.

Q: I married Ann, will all the other girls marry someone else?
A: Yes, Karen will marry Kay, Popuri will marry Gray, Ann will marry
Cliff, Elli will marry the Bakery Owner, and Maria will marry Harris.

Q: Hey, I got all 36 recipes! Now what?
A: Now, you congratulate yourself! Nothing special happens.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
| Q: Alright Armagetz, what is up with the 3/14/00 update? Where are |
o all of my contributions? My questions? My suggestions? I've been o
| waiting a lot and all I get is this? You have some explaining to |
o do! o
| |
o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
| A: First of all, I made up that question because I'm pretty sure |
o someone will send me something like that. Okay, this is what's been o
| happening: On March 9, 2000. I bought a new game which required a |
o lot of things that my computer didn't have. I needed 64 MB RAM and o
| my computer only had 24! So I got sent my computer to get try and |
o updated. My computer has been gone for four days and the settings o
| in my AOL account told my computer to keep my old email for only |
o three days. Therefore, I lost all of my mails. But I also lost a o
| lot of my personal files, including my FAQ backup! Good thing I |
o didn't loose the real one. But I did loose a lot of my school files o
| and most of my mail files (I always copy and paste my mails into a |
o text document so I can look at them later). Now, If anyone could o
| me how to get my old mails back, I would update this FAQ big time. |
o I could only update a few things that I remembered so that's why o
| your contributions and you mails got lost. Now, I did check my mail |
o from another computer while my mails were lost, those mails where o
| full of questions that were already answered in my FAQ. I'm saying |
o this so you won't mail telling me that I am lying because I am not, o
| I always answer people's questions and I always post any |
o appropriate contributions. o
| |
o So basically my answer is: "Because I lost it on accident." o
| |
o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Q: Were is the beach?
A: I am sick of getting this question over and over, It's to the left of
the Green Ranch people! Look at the booklet that come with the game!

Q: My wife said that she is eating fodder, is she becoming a cow?
A: You wish! Your wife is pregnant, that's why she is saying that.

Q: I bought some flowers and Lillia said she would send them to my farm
but I can't find them. Where did she put them?
A: She left them in the tool box in the bedroom of your house. Down in
the lower-right corner.

Q: I can't find my dog! How can I look for him?
A: Enter an area and try to call him, if you hear a bark, it means that
he is in that area.

Q: I planted one flower of each kind but Stu didn't come to me during
the summer to get the marbles, why?
A: You need to have way more than two flowers. About six fields of
flowers will do the job, but you still need to be really good friends
with him.

Q: I sent you a correction for your FAQ, why didn't you fix it?
A: Because you didn't specify were I made the mistake. If you just tell
me that I misspelled a word, I will not fix it. You need to tell me were
did I make the mistake.

Q: Will you always have a boy no matter what?
A: Yes, you can only have a son.

Q: How many kids can you have?
A: You can only have one kid.

Q: How do I get all the recipes?
A: What? What's up with this question!? I'm not even going to answer
this!

Q: I am very frustrated. I am really far in the game but I can't figure
out how to make my animals go outside. How do you do it?
A: You push them out of the stable.

Q: Does the game only last three years? Or can it go longer?
A: It goes on and on, never ends.

Q: Can you and your wife get in fights? Can you divorce?
A: Well, sort of. All she does is leave the house and she won't come
back until you apologize.

Q: Who is Gray?
A: He is the brother of Ann. The big bully.

Q: Can you have a second baby after the first one grows up?
A: No, you can only have one baby in the game so you better take really
good care of it.

Q: Does your kid work on the farm for you in any way?
A: Nope, your lazy boy is just going to stick around the farm wondering
his own busyness without even bothering to give his father a hand. In
other words: NO.

Q: How do I cook something with my kitchen?
A: I've gotten this question so many times that I am about to throw my
computer out the window if I see it again. You can't cook food! You pick
up the vegetables from your farm and you eat them raw!

Q: When does my girl sprain her ankle?
A: Your girl will sprain her ankle during the second year (This is how
it always happens to me). Usually around summer time so make sure that
you visit her everyday.

Q: What is the maximum time I can wait to get married?
A: As long as the girl you are trying to woo is single, she will be
available for marriage.

Q: The potion shop owner said that his potion would work on both me AND
animals. How do I give the medicine to the animals?
A: You don't as far as I know. Yet another mistake in the game.

Q: Where does the river in the game come from?
A: If you look at the map that comes with the booklet, you will see that
it comes from Moon Mountain and it flows west.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
| Q: Hey! I am sending you instant messages, why aren't you |
o responding? (AOL) o
|-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-|
o A: It could be one of three reasons. One, I am busy. Two, I don't o
| feel like it. Or three, I am playing an online game and I can't see |
o see it. It is usually the third reason tough. o
|-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-|

Q: Hey, my wife keeps complaining about the baby and she wants me to
help, but nothing I do seems to be good enough help for her. What should
I do?
A: Leave her alone and go on with life, she'll shut up about it someday!

Q: Where can I find a blue stone?
A: By mining, it is usually in at the second level of the mine but it
can be on any level.

Q: Is there another way to repair the fourth channel besides having the
elves fix it for you?
A: You don't fix the fourth channel, enjoy the static!

Q: What does it mean when Elli is Cooking fish for Maria in the forest?
A: Huh? What? I have no idea what you are talking about, I've played the
game all the way to the thirty first year and that never happened to me.
Sorry.

Q: Does Rick marry Ann if Cliff leaves?
A: Nope, not that I know of. Ann will stay single for the rest of her
life if she doesn't marry cliff.

Q: You said that the third year would be the weirdest of all, what's so
weird about it?
A: I did? Well, I don't remember writing that, probably because your
goals are completely different from previous ones from that year on.
Whatever, I forgot what I was thinking when I wrote that (If I wrote
it).

Q: How do I sign up for the horse race?
A: The Green Ranch owner will ask you before the racing day if you would
like to enter the contest. Your horse needs to be an adult in order for
him to sign you up. (Notice the run-on sentence in the answer that I am
too lazy to fix!)
