So you got your copy of Jet Set Radio (import) on your Sega
Dreamcast and you're itching to create a tag. Well after completing
you initiation in the GG spray crew, you'll gain entry into the GG's
hideout. Here you'll be given many differant options: Level Selected
(Manual p.17), Tag Options (Manual p. 19), Options (Manual p.26),
Internet (Manual p. 27). The Tag

Section 1: Selecting Create-a-tag

To get to Create-a-tag mode, you're first going to have to select
Tag Options (it looks like the default, mid-sized tag, if you flip the
GG's hideout you'll find it). Once you have found the Tag options,
select it; doing so will bring you to a new menu. The first option in
the menu is "Tag Selection" to see all the tags you have collected,
downloaded and created (we'll talk more about this section later on),
and the second option is Tag Creation.

Section 1a: Size Matters

After selecting Create-a-tag mode you'll be prompted what size you
would like (examples shown on the word: Sample)

    From left to right:

-Small (1 can of spray paint in the game)
-Large (3-4 cans of spray paint in the game)
-Xtra Large (5-9 cans of spray paint in the game)

Hit A button to selected size

Section 1b: Stoke the keys

After selecting what size tag you wish to create, you'll be taken
to a keyboard, (the diagram below shows you the order of the keys and
what they do) Here you can type out your tag and pick Paint or Shape to
modify it.

Section 5: Using/Selecting Tags

To use the tag you just created, you must select the one you're
going to use. Create-a-tag option then Tag Selection. Once you enter
Tag selection you notice 3 boxes. From top to bottom it's Small, Large
and Extra Large. After you selected the type, you can the pick your
tag. G are tags found in the game (orange means you have them, grey
mean you need to find them), U are user created tags. Select this one
to use your tag in the game. DL are downloaded tags.

Section 6: DL Tags

In either the US Web Browser or the Japanese Passport browser navigate
to a page containing a JPEG image that you'll want to use as your tag.
Note: GIFs, PNGs and other graphics file formats will not work, the
image must be in JPEG form.

If you've created your own tag in a bitmap editing program then you'll
need to upload it to the web in JPEG file format with whatever software
you would normally use to do this. It's easiest to build a web page
with that image on it and upload the page and the image.

Once you've navigated to the page containing your custom tag position

Note: images that you're going to use as tags should be very, very
small. Under 15K would be good. A 20K file will take up approximately
45 blocks.

Save this file onto the same card that contains your Jet Set Radio game
data.

Restart your Dreamcast, load your saved game and then follow the
instructions in Section 5: Using/Selecting tags.
