Introduction to Tecmo Super NBA Basketball
***********************************************************************

-----
Intro
-----
Tecmo Super NBA Basketball is a sports game for the SNES. Although
the controls may be a little primitive, it still brings excitement. It
is rather a simple game once you get the hang of it. You start with 5
players on the field and 7 on the bench. It's always that way unless
someone's injured. You can adjust the time, speed, and difficulty
also.(Difficulty change is exhibition only.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Frequently Asked Questions
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Who are the top scorers on each team?
A: Most team have just one top scorer, other teams have 2 that are VERY
close.
Here they are:
Atlanta: Dominique Wilkins
Boston: Regie Lewis; Larry Bird
Charlotte: Larry Johnson; Kendall Gill
Chicago: Michael Jordan
Cleveland: Brad Daugherty
Dallas: Derek Harper; Rolando Blackman
Denver: Scott Hastings
Detroit: Joe Dumars
Golden State: Chris Mullin
Houston: Hakeem Olajuwon
Indiana: Reggie Miller
LA Clippers: Danny Manning
LA Lakers: Magic Johnson
Miami: Glen Rice
Milwaukee: Dale Ellis
Minnesota: Tony Campbell
New Jersey: Drazen Petrovic; Derrick Coleman
New York: Patrick Ewing
Orlando: Nick Anderson
Philadelphia: Charles Barkley
Phoenix: Kevin Johnson; Jeff Hornacek
Portland: Clyde Drexler
Sacremento: Mitch Richmond
San Antonio: David Robinson
Seattle: Ricky Peirce
Utah: Karl Malone
Washington: Bernard King

Q: Where's Shaq? Isn't this his rookie season?
A: That's probably why he's not in here.

Q: Can you tell me the players that score < 1.0 PPG during the season?
A: Some of these people bounce between 1.0 and 0._. Others'll never get
past .7. Others are barely over 1.0.
Here are the lousy scorers:
Atlanta: Alezander Volkov; Jon Koncak
Boston: Joe Kleine
Charlotte: Eric Leckner
Chicago: Scott Williams
Detroit: Bob McCann; Charles Thomas
Golden State: Tom Tolbert
Houston: Larry Smith
Indiana: Jerome Lane
LA Lakers: Keith Owens; Jack Haley; Elden Campbell
Miami: Jon Sundvold
Minnesota: Tod Murphy
New York: Brian Quinnett
Phoenix: Kurt Rambis
Sacremento: Les Jepsen
San Antonio: Sidney Green
Washington: Andre Turner; Larry Stewart; Charles Jones; Greg Foster

Q: A few people have Really good 3PT%. (.996, .800) Does this mean
they'll make almost all of them?
A: No. Pete Chilcutt, Jon Sundvold, and Greg Dreiling, the people who
have .996% Are NOT good 3PT shooters. Dreiling and Chilcutt are 7'1" and
6'10". Loy Vaught has .800, and he is pretty good at 3PT shooting. But
NOT that good. Any centers that have .500 are probably not going to
shoot well either.

Q: Can you trade/draft players in this game?
A: No.

Q: Can you create players?
A: No. Remember that no games really start letting you create players
until the late SNES days.

Q: Who are the best/worst teams?
A: Sacremento and Washington are the worst. Portland, Phoenix, and
Chicago are the best.

Q: Where's the save button?
A: It saves automatically.

Q: What happened to February 7-10?
A: Good question. I have no idea.

Q: If someone has .000 3PT%, does thatmean they'll never make one.
A: Not neccessarily. I saw Larry Nance make one, and he has .000

Tips and Strategies
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
*On the court, things can get a little rough sometimes, causing you to
lose concentration. Here are some easy tips to help you out.
*Do NOT bother making intentional fouls. Don't use it, unless you're
trying to lose on purpose.
--From Pop: Intentional fouls can also be good if you're tryign to
injure someone, or if someone's going for a 3 pointer.
*If someone has a bad, or even a good 3 point percentage, don't go to
the opposite basket and try and make a shot there. You won't make it.
Not even with Mark Price or Michael Jordan.
*If someone misses a slam dunk or a layup, substitute them. They're
obviously tired. (there are exceptions.)
*Don't pass excessively. You'll increase your chances of a steal.
*If someone with bad Free Throw % is going for free throws, you can
always change the person making them.
*If someone's open, pass it to them. (optional :P)
*If someone's condition is bad, substitiute them.
*Try not to foul out. If someone's near a foul-out, keep them out for a
while and let them cool off.
*Read the FAQ before e-mailing about a problem.

Preseason
***********************************************************************
The preseason mode is a must for beginners, great for practice, and
great for building up self-esteem after an embarrasing loss. In the
preseason mode, you basically play a season game minus injuries (unless
they were suffered is season mode and they haven't recovered), fixed
opponents, and lowered morale. That is all a preseason game does-
prepare you for season mode.

***********************************************************************
Season
***********************************************************************
The season mode is the big enchirito of the game. It's the part
that is 82 games long (or fewer depending on what you choose), has
injuries, has you control the action if you desire, and have you win
championships. Season mode is a little more complicated data-wise. (See
player data.) Also, the teams usually win in a certain range of wins.

Schedule
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Shedule is a big part of Tecmo. Without it, you won't know
what tea myou're up against, and you won't be able to preare. (Or save

All-Star Game
***********************************************************************
The All-Star Game is a lot like the preseason game, but with a few
exceptions. First, if the player suffered an injury in season, he won't
have it in all star mode. Second, ad more obvious, is that it's all the
star players from each division. You just choose between East or West.
Besides that, it's just like preseason.

Player Data
***********************************************************************
Player Data is simply the data of the players. In this section, a lot of
stuff will be included, such as Height, Weight, Position, Field Goal %,
and much, much more. Also:
FG%- Field Goal %
FT%- Free Throw %
3PT%- 3 point %
Also, the running speed, blocking, etc. are estimates! I can't get the
exact total, and is someone had exceptional stats (100/100 for SD,
90/100+ for anythign else, .900 FT, .400 PT, or .550 FG), they get
**this**
Lastly, when someone has a good 3PT% and they have (F) that symbol, it's
a fluke, they're not THAT good at 3PT%
