  Introduction:

Super Robot Wars 4(SRW4) is a Super Famicom Title released by Banpresto
that never saw U.S release. It's main premise is bringing Robots from all sorts
of Anime(Such as Gundam and Mazinger Z) and showing how they join forces to
fight various Evils. SRW4 also had a Playstation Remake..But I've never played
it so this is for the SFC version.

	BTW...Interesting Fact...The games SRW-F and SRW-F final later replaced
SRW4 in the SRW timeline. SRW-F and SRW-F final are awesome 'cause they have
lots of Mechs that haven't appeared in other SRW games..and check this..YOU GET
TO USE THE EVA UNITS!! That's right...They Intro Neon Genesis Evangeilon into
it!! It CANNNOT Get cooler then that. But that's in a diffrent game..I just
thought you people might like to know.

Actually...it could. The newest(As of yet unreleased) game in the series,
Super Robot Wars Alpha, introduces the Robots and Fighting machines of Macross
and Macross Plus.

   Whats New in this Version:
EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK!! See..It's all nice and white and shiny and I
bought it just for you all...Aren't I a nice guy?^_~

   What you should know:

I have VERY Little knowledge of Japanese...Most of these names are coming from
my own personal experience, Outside sources and so on. So don't get upset if I
screw up a name^_~. Also..I HAVEN'T Got all the Robots Possible...so If you've
gotten a Robot or character I haven't listed then feel free to send it in.

Robots are ranked in the Following Categorys:

Speed(Adds to Hit Percentage and Dodge Percentage)
  Limit(Determines Maxx Hit/Evade)
Armor(How much damage is reduced from an attack)
Mobility(How far it can move in a turn)

In the lower left Corner is a list of Terrans with letters beside them. A -
Means the robot cannot function in that terran. Ranks are from D to A..with A
being the best. Weapons function the same way.

In the middle is a list of Robot Abilitys such as Transform and Combine.

Lower Middle is wether or not the Robot has a Sheild, and it's Size. Size
ranges from S to LL..with S getting Evade Bonuses and LL getting Evade Penaltys.

  Pilot Screen:

From Left to Right The numbers are:

Close Range(Skill with CLose Combat weapons) Dodge Percetage: Pilot Skill +
Robot's Speed ????
Far Range(Skill with Ranged Weapons) Hit percentile: Pilot Skill + Robots
Speed Raw Skill: Determines critical hits

Lower Right(Maybe left) is the Pilots Terran skills, which Modify the robots.
Lower middle are pilot skills. Pilot Skills are as Follows(Not all Pilots have
all Skills):

Cutting + Number: Is the Percent X 10 chance of using a Beam Saber(Or Aura
Sword) to: Parry Incoming SOLID Missle attacks such as Bazooka Sheels, Funnels,
Familias, S Mines, Incom, Fin Funnels and Missles.

Shield + Number: Percent X 10 Chance of using a Shield(If robot has a Shield)
to Halve Damage done to robot. If Robot was blocking in the first place then
Damage is 1/4 Normal.

Aura Senshi: Allows use of Aura Cut and Hyper Aura Cut

Newtype: Allows use of Funnels and Fin Funnels

Enhance Human: Allows use of Funnels and Fin Funnels

Potential: Doubles(?) Crtical Rate chance when robot has 1/6 HP remaining.
Note: ALMOST ALL Super Robot Pilots have this Skill.

   Robot/Pilot Guide

      Real Robots:

  Real Robots in General:

Real Robot is the term given to those Machines that Rely more on
Technological/Pilot Skill to function effectively. The term 'Real' applies to
these robots well, since Each and every Robot in this Category has detailed
information on it's inner workings, Armaments, and
capabilities. A Real Robot's Pilot goes a long way in it's usefulness, as
without a Pilot(More so then Super Robots) a Real Robot is horrendously
ineffective. In this Game, the Units from Mobile Suit Gundam, Z Gundam, ZZ
Gundam, Gundam F-91, Chars Counter attack, and Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory are
all Considered Real Robots. The Robots from Aura Battler Dunbine and Masou
Kishin, while not Real Robots, have many Similar Charictisics and are considered
Real Robots. Game wise Real Robots have Superior Agility and Speed, with
Excellent Pilots and a variety of Long Range Weaponry. The Gundam is the
perinial Real Robot Unit, and All most all of the Real robots come from the
Gundam Universe. Most Gundam Units will come equipped with a Low Power but High
Hit rate Machine Gun, and Beam Sword, and a Beam Rifle. Upper Class Gundam units
will have Incom, Funnels, and Fin Funnels. Aura battler units will, mostly,
come equipped with a Sword, Aura Cut, and Hyper Aura Cut. Masou Kishin will come
equipped with a Melee Attack(Based on their Robot), a Famila attack(Similar to
Funnels), A Projectile weapon based on the robot, and a Map weapon based on the
robot. Real Robot Pilots will often have the 'Cutting' Special Skill, and some
will have 'Sheild' as well. In most cases the best Real Robot pilots are the
ones with either the Newtype or Enhanced Human skill. Newtypes gain a second
movement point quicker then any other unit in the game, Recieve special bonuses
for Hitting and Dodging, and gain high skill scores. Enhanced Humans function
the same as Newtypes. Either having the Newtype Skill or the Enhanced Human
skill is Nesscary for using Funnels and Fin Funnels. For Aura Battlers most will
have the Cutting Ability. The best Aura Battler pilots will have the Aura Senshi
Skill..which allows useage of Aura cut and Hyper Aura Cut. Masou Kishin Pilot
skills vary depending on the character.

  Real Robot Units:

   Gundam
   Pilot: Amuro Ray
   Series: Mobile Suit Gundam

Who HASN'T Heard of this Suit..or it's Pilot. The Gundam is easily one of the
better early game units, Packing no less then 2 High powered ranged attacks and
one of the best Melee weapons among all the Mobile suits. The Gundam comes with
a sheild. It's Armaments include a Machine Vulcan, Beam Sword, Beam Rifle, a
Ball and Chain and a Hyper Bazooka. It's Pilot, Amuro, is EASILY one of the best
Real Robot pilots available..if not the best Pilot Period.

  Gundam Mk II
  Pilot: Emma Seen
  Series: Z Gundam

Take everything about the Gundam, make it better, Tweak it's weapons and add
in a KILLER Hidden Special ability and you have the Gundam MK II. Packing both a
Hyper Bazooka and a More Adanvanced Version of it, The GMK2 is very powerful.
It's Pilot, Emma, is okay as far as pilots go, but will more then likely end up
being replaced. This Mobile suit is capable of combing..but with who?

 G-Defensor
 Pilot: Katsu Kobayashi
 Series: Z Gundam

An Aerial Mobile Armor. By itself the G-Defensor is subpar. It's only saving
Grace is a large array of projectile attacks and the extra mobility afforded by
flying. The G-Defensors TRUE Purpose lies with Combining with a Certain Mobile
Suit. Katsu is a Sub-Par Pilot, and should be replaced with a Pilot of your own
choice(I reccomend either Quattro or Kou)

 Super Gundam
Pilot: Whoever is piloting the Gundam Mk II
 Series: Z Gundam

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! This unit ROCKS!!!! EXTREMLY High Stats, EXCELLENT Weaponry
and it's one of the coolest looking units too! This unit is one of the best
you'll find in the first half of the game. The Super Gundam is gotten by Combing
the G-Defensor and the Gundam Mk II. Although you cannot upgrade it directly
it's weapons and stats come from it's 2 component units, so upgrading those will
end up upgrading this. There's really no reason NOT to use the Super Gundam,
unless you want the space for someone else. The Super Gundam has one BIG
Disadvantage and that's it HAS to be combined during the battle..Since you can't
combine it before a map you have to take Both the G-Defensor and Gundam Mk II
into battle, and that uses up 2 slots. Late in the game, when you have the best
units, you may opt to put this into Mothball to free up deployment slots.

 Re-ZG
Pilot: Whoever you put in it
 Series: Chars Counter Attack

This is a Mobile Armor that I have just discovered(With help from the people at
the Super Robot Wars Millennium Site). In order to get it, on the Map where 3
planes are being chased by enemys and the Dancougar team is introduced, you have
to make sure all 3 planes survive and you will be given it. Quite simply, this
Unit is POWERFUL. High Stats, and Powerful weapons. It has 2 forms, Aerial and
Mobile Suit, but be warned..if you turn it into a Mobile Suit during a Map you
CANNOT Turn back into The Aerial Form. This unit has a VERY Good hidden
Skill..and that is you have to kill it twice. If it is destroyed in Aerial Form
then you will continue in on foot...if it destroyed on Foot then it is gone.

 NT-1 Alex
 Pilot: Christie McKenzie
 Series: Gundam 0080

A Somewhat Useful(If odd looking) Mobile suit that will serve to fill up a
unit slot until you get someone better. The Alex 1 has a bit more of a Beam
aresenal then the usual Gundam unit, and that helps it a little bit. While the
Alex 1 is a rather useless unit, it's Pilot is a diffrent Story. Christy is one
of the Few people in the game capable of learning the Psycho Spell Revive..not
to mention she has a slew of other useful spells. Even if you don't use the Alex
1 be sure to stick Christy in something like the Re-ZG or the Super Gundam.

 Zaku
 Pilot: Bernard Wiseman
 Series: Gundam 0080

There...isn't much to say. It's a Zaku all right, the exact same you'll be
fighting during the early part of the game. Weak Stats and weapons(All though it
DOES have a ranged weapon that can be used after movement..which is sorta rare
for Real Robots) it gets slaughtered Wholesale against pretty much everything.
Not even worth sneezing at, nor is it's Pilot Bernard worth sneezing at either.

 Z Gundam
 Pilot: Camille Vidan
 Series: Z Gundam

One of the few Mobile suit Pilots that even can go neck to neck with Amuro. The
Z Gundam is a 2 form mech, Air and Mobile suit, packing a Hell of alot of Beam
Power. It's Hyper Launcher attack is EASILY one of the best Attacks on a Mobile
Suit, and it's Beam Saber seems(To me) Stronger as well. Despite the fact that
the Z Gundam joins up early on I can heartily reccomend you use it through out
the game. Now..if only it had some funnels...Sigh...

  ZZ Gundam:
  Pilot: Judo Ashita
  Series: ZZ Gundam

The Youngest Mobile Suit Pilot next to Amuro, Judo boasts a REALLY High Long
Range Stat. The ZZ Gundam's best feature is a HUGE Map Weapon which Utterly
ROASTS anything in it's way. Once again, this is one sucker you want on your
Final Team.

  Gundam F91
  Pilot: Seabook Arno
  Series: Gundam F91

Argueably the most Powerful Mobile Suit(It'd be a close match between it and
the Nu Gundam), the Gundam F91 boosts no less then a MASSIVELY High Range Beam
Weapon, the Ultra Useful After Imagae Ability and an array of other weapons. If
your using Quattro(Char) on your Team then I'd SERIOUSLY suggest sticking him in
this Mobile suit. This suit is one of the cases where the unit is more powerful
then the Pilot. Seabook can do a good Job in it, but if you want to get Maximum
effectiveness out of it stick someone like Four or Quess or Char in it.

  Type 100:
  Pilot: Quattro Bajina(Char Azanable)
  Series: Z Gundam

This little gold colored Midget of a Mobile suit isn't that good. It's sole
good point is a Map weapon, but even that isn't enough to salvage it. However,
it's Pilot the Red Comet Char Azanable, one of the COOLEST Villans EVER, is
perhaps The BEST Newtype Pilot available(Some will Argue for Amuro, Anavel Gato,
and Camille Vidan). It is SERIOUSLY Reccomend you transfer Char over to a more
powerful Mobile Suit and let the Type 100 Rot. On another note about char: He's
been a character since the original Gundam, but SRW4 uses his Z Gundam Persona
of Quattro Bajina.

 Sazabi:
 Pilot: Char Azanable
 Series: Chars Counter Attack

You have to do something special to get this mech, but I can't remember what
it was. If you DO get it though stick Char in it. The Sazabi has Funnels, which
automaticly puts it up there in the power category. It has high stats in all
other areas as well.

 GP01
 Pilot: Kou Uraki
 Series: Gundam 0083

UGH! This suit sucks so much it's barely worth doing a write up on it. It's
SOLE good point is it's Beam Rifles have SLIGHTLY Higher range then the other
Mobile Suits in the beginning of the game. Kou However, despite not being a
Newtype, is one of the best mobile suit pilots.

 GP02A Physalis
 Pilot: Anaval Gato
 Series: Gundam 0083

Nicked named the 'Nightmare of Solomon' this Pilot has EARNED his Reputation.
The GPO2 is probibly the best overall mobile suit, With Plenty of Armor, high
stats, good weapons array, and the abilty to get the Atomic Bazooka Map Weapon.
The Sole Bad Point about Gato and the GP02 is you can only get them by losing
Char =p

 GP03 Stamen:
 Pilot: Kou Uraki
 Series: Gundam 0083

Much improved over the GP01 this mech will serve you well until you head to
outer space...

 GP03 Dendrobium
 Pilot: Kou Uraki
 Series: Gundam 0083

HOLY FLAMING PILES OF MONKEY DROPPINGS! I can STILL Barely believe this Sucker
is classified as a Real Robot. This thing is Practicly a MOBILE BATTLE PLATFORM.
Pocessing No less then TWO Map Weapons, Several Long Range Attacks, Armor out
the Wazoo...This is HANDS DOWN my Favorite Mobile Suit. The only Problem with it
is it can only be used on Outer Space maps..but still...Savor it when you can...

 Jagd Doga
 Pilot: Quess Paryiah
 Series: Chars Countr Attack

Quess Pariyah is a secret character in the game, and can only be found on the
Real Robot Route(See Secrets section for details). When you find Quess she'll
offer the Choice of Piloting either the Jagd Doga or a Jeagon. Obviously, choose
this^_~. The Jagd Doga is a Higher End Mobile suit, offering Funnels and a
Powerful beam weapon. In my case I ended up using it in my Final Party, but
depending on your playing style you'll need to make your own Decision.

 Superior Gundam:
Pilot: None(I stuck Kou in it)
 Series: Sentinel Gundam

The Superior Gundam is just that, a VERY Superior version of the gundam^_~. It
is equipped with Incoms, a Slightly weaker version of Funnels that can be used
by Anyone, and a variety of beams. The Superior Gundam has a VERY High Speed
Rating, and high armor to boot. It's aerial mode is it's weakess link, but it's
nessacary as the S Gundam's Mobile Suit mode has a low movement score. It's main
Weakness: You can only get it on the Real Robot Storyline IF you have the
Guntank(You start with it on Real Robot, so just don't go selling it^_~)

 Ex Superior Gundam
Pilot: None(I stuck Kou and then Puru2 in it)
 Series: Senitnel Gundam(?)

Take what makes the Superior Gundam so good and make it better. It has TWO
Versions of the Incom, one of which has a Higher Range(ALMOST Equivilent to a
Fin Funnel) making it superior to any Suit using a Reguler Funnel or Incom.
Better Armor, better weapons..God I love this unit! Unfortunetly you can only
get it on the Real Robot route by killing Four..which sucks =p

  Nu Gundam
  Pilot: Amuro Ray
  Series: Char's Counter attack

Amuro's eventualy Mobile suit upgrade, the Nu Gundam is arguably the best
Mobile suit out there. Pocessing the VERY Powerful Fin Funnels, an I Field ,
EXCELLENT Speed, High armor and HP...God, once Amuro gets this suit he'll be
king of the battlefield^_~

  Quebeley Mk II
  Pilot: Elpe Puru and Puru2
  Series: ZZ Gundam

Although when you convince them the Puru's each have their own Quebeley MK II,
after the stage you'll only have 1 in your inventory. This suit is on the Higher
echelon of Gundam Units, pocessing EXCELLENT Long Range Abilitys and Funnels,
coupled with high speed and armor, and It's kinda cute to boot! A very good unit
to use.

  Bagina Gina(?)
  Pilot: Cecily Fairchild
  Series: Gundam F91

Although this suit looks like it'll be weak unit don't write it off. It has
very good stats and a rather nice beam weapon, Making it worthwhile as a 2nd
class unit.

 Methuss:
 Pilot: Fa ?????
 Series: Z Gundam

A Support suit with an Aerial Mobile Armor mode, the Methuss is HORRENDOUSLY
Weak! It's SOLE redeeming virtue is that it can Heal a unit, but it can only do
so for a limited time before it has to restock by boarding a battleship. It's
argubly the best Support Unit, since it has the highest movement Range.

 Jeagan:
Pilot: Whoever you put in it
 Series: ?????

   Not even worth writing up...

 GM III
Pilot: Whoever you put in it
 Series: ZZ Gundam

    Ugh...NEXT!

  Guntank:
Pilot: Whoever you put in it
  Series: Mobile Suit Gundam

Yup folks, we're in the crappy units section that you'd have to be insane to
use. If you REALLY want opinions for these robots let me know, and I'll write
'em up, otherwise I won't bother^_~

  GunCannon:
  Pilot: Keith ?????
  Series: Mobile Suit Gundam

Although it's a crap unit, in the beginning when you have few robots to choose
from it's actually worth using due to it's Long Range attack

  Gundam Pilots without a Mech:

  Four Murasame:
One of my favorite pilots, and Camilles Sweetie(^_~) Four is one of the 2
enhanced Humans in the game. She boosts a useful Psycho Magic Skill set,
Realitivly High Long/Short Range stats, and is generaly a solid choice in any
case. She makes a great Pilot for suits like the Re-ZG and the Ex Superior
Gundam.

  Rosamia Vidan(?):
I haven't seen Z Gundam but I THINK she's Camilles sister. The other
enhanced human in the game, Rosamia's Psycho magic is less useful then Fours,
but she has higher Raw stats. You have to choose between Four and Rosamia, and
Rosamia is SLIGHTLY harder to get, so it's your call on which one to get.

  Aura Battler Units:

Aura Battler Note: All Aura Battler units have the following built in
features:

Aura Barrier: Stops up to 3000 points worth of Beam Damage

After Image: When morale reaches 130 50% chance of evading attack NO MATTER
THE HIT PERCENTAGE

Aura Cut and Hyper Aura Cut: VERY powerful High Morale Moves that require the
Aura Senshi Skill to be used.

Aura Battlers on a whole: Although their Weak in the Long Range department Aura
Battlers are arguably the most powerful units you'll get in the game. Their
pilots EXCEL at Dodging and Close Range combat, and the Aura Barrier and After
Image abilty make them tough to Damage. Hyper Aura Cut is Arguably the most
powerful close range move in the game!

  Botun:
Pilot: Marvel Frozen, Various other Aura Battler Pilots
  Series: Aura Battler Dunbine

Ah the Botun, a seemingly unremarkable Suit, but with it's S Size, High Speed
and AWESOME Aura Barrier and Image evade ability this suit can be a terror. It's
best purpose is to serve as a robot for Marvel while she A: Levels up until she
gains Aura Senshi, and B: While Shou is piloting the Dunbine.

  Dunbine:
  Pilot: Shou Zama
  Series: Aura Battler Dunbine

Shou's trademark fighter, the Dubine is Deceptively powerful. It's a
very...Zippy, little thing, pocessing remarkable speed and a host of special
abilities. It will Serve Shou well until a Suit upgrade becomes available, and
after he vacates it Marvel can put it to good use.

  Sabine
  Pilot: Shou Zama
  Series: Aura Battler Dunbine OAV

This looks like a Larger and Much more ornate(and White) version of the
Dubine. This suit is one of the choices Silky Mae will give you if you find her.
This suit is the Premium choice as it has a higher speed(The other has higher
Armor)..and let me tell you this, Speed in this game is probibly the most
importent stat: You can't die if your not hit by anything. This suit only has
the Basic Aura Sword, Aura Slash, and Hyper Aura Slash, meaning it's vulnerable
to range assaults, but with it's huge move radius and 10%HP recover that
shouldent be a problem. This suit, in addition, has a VERY High Armor rating,
something that most Aura Battler units don't have.

  Zambuss
  Pilot: Shou Zama
  Series: Aura Battler Dunbine OAV

This is the other choice Silky Mae gives you for a Dunbine replacement. This
looks like a Large black Dragon thing. It has a Higher Armor and HP rating then
it's couterpart, but I usualy pick the other one because of it's higher speed
rating. This one has the same weapons but a smaller move radius, and also has
10% HP Recover.

 Bilbine:
 Pilot Shou Zama
 Series: Aura Battler Dunbine

Rejoice when this peppy little suit is given to you! With a High movement
radius, Aerial Transormation(With powerful range attacks) ALL the Standard Aura
Battler Features, AND VERY High stats the Bilbine is probibly one of the best
suits in the game. I woulden't be caught DEAD not using this thing!

  Masou Kishin Units:

  Cybuster(AKA Cybaster, Saibuster)
  Pilot: Masaki Andou
  Series: Masou Kishin(Original Series)
  Element Asscication: Wind

I just can't praise the Cybuster enough! The Cyflash is EASILY the best Map
Weapon in the game, Cosmo Nova, for all intents and purposes, should be on a
Super Robot and not a Real Robot, Familia and Akarashik Buster are EXCELLENT
Range assaults...and the Cybird Transformation! Masaki is an EXCELLENT Pilot,
being able to hit both Range and Close in...ARGH! Use this or I'll beat you up!!

  Goddess
  Pilot: Tooty Norbuck
  Series Masou Kishin(Original Series)
  Element Association: Water

The Goddess is an excellent support suit, being able to heal and pocessing a
large array of weapons. Although it has weak Physical Power Tooty's Magic
Listing makes up for it. I don't usualy use the 'healer' units, but I make an
exception for the Goddess because it's so versatile.

 Zamseed
 Pilot: Mio ?????
 Series: Masou Kishin(Original Series)
 Element Assciation: Earth

The Ultimate in Assault suit warfare! The Zamseed has 10%HP recover and a
large variety of Punishing in Close moves. Pocessing armor and HP that should
belong to a Super Robot, and the speed of a real robot, The Zamseed makes a
Perfect compliment to Masaki and the Cybuster.

  Granveil
  Pilot: Hwang Yan Fong(?)
  Series: Masou Kishin
  Element Association: Fire

An aggresively oriented suit, the Granveil has a Devastating Array of Long
Range weaponry. It, however, suffers from Low Speed and Armor, making it one of
the Weakest Masou Kishin Unit.

  Granzeon
  Pilot: Shuu ???
  Series: Masou Kishin
  Element Asscoiation: None

Comments pending aquicistion of the Unit

  Wiredoll/Wizoll
  Pilot: Saphine Grace
  Series: Masou Kishin

Coments Pending Aquicistion of the Unit

  Nols Rei
  Pilot: Monica Gran Belisa
  Series: Masou Kishin

Comments pending aquicistion of the Unit

  Heavy Metal L-Gaim

Located between Super Robots and Real Robots are the units from Heavy Metal
L-Gaim. These units have the High Doding and Long Range Capabilitys of a Real
Robot, as well as the Armor of a Super Robot. You only get FOUR of these
units..so use them wisely!^_~ All Heavy Metal units have the Beam Coat ability.

  L-Gaim
  Pilot: Daba Mylord
  Series: Heavy Metal L-Gaim

A Dumpy looking robot that, despite looking a bit rotund, is a rather zippy,
the L-Gaim boasts the always useful S Mine weapon, as well as a Good Close Range
and Long Range weapon. I usualy don't bother upgrading it, as it's fast enough
on it's own to survive, and Daba gets a completly new robot later in the game.
Daba himself is a VERY powerful Pilot, with a High Long and short range stat, as
well as VERY good Dodging ability.

  D-Seerd(?)
  Pilot: Amu ????
  Series: Heavy Metal L-Gaim

VERY Similar to the L-Gaim in Stats and Combat abilitys, Amu however is a very
weak pilot and I usualy let her and the D-Seered rot in storage

  Kamurabi(?) Temple
  Pilot Gaw-Ha Leece
  Series: Heavy Metal L-Gaim

At the point you get this unit(VERY Early in the game) it is VERY powerful,
as everything on it has been upgraded several times. Lecee is a VERY powerful
pilot, and should be used whenever possible to keep her level on par with
everyone else.

  Noble D-Seered
  Pilot: Gaw-Ha Lecee
  Series: Heavy Metal L-Gaim

Gotten by scrapping the Kamurabi Temple and the D-Seerd, the Noble D-Seerd
only has Three Weapons(Beam Saber, Laser Gun, and S Mine) but it is a VERY good
Support unit when it is upgraded.

  More to Follow Later.
