---------------------------INTRODUCTION/HISTORY----------------------------

Version 1.52(8/1/00): FAQ-wide update, some tidying up.

Version 1.51(1/1/00): I updated the Copyright sections.

Version 1.5(12/6/99): I redid the Credits and Copyright section, and posted a
copy of them near the top of the FAQ.

Version 1.4: I needed to do a MAJOR format change for all of my FAQs so they
would all look alike. There is also a bit of content updated in here also.

circles, dark triangles, light triangles, diamonds, stars, and ! (only in vs.
mode)

------------------------------------FAQ------------------------------------

===========================================================================
Q: What is a combo?
===========================================================================

A: A combo is when you clear four or more panels isntantly with one move. For
example:

|_ _ _ _ _ _|
|*|*|^|*|^|^|

you would switch the right star with the left triangle. That would take out
all 6 panels at once.

===========================================================================
Q: What is a chain reaction?
===========================================================================

A: A chain reaction is when the falling panels from the top of one clear touch
panels below it and clear a set of three or more. This can be done many times
in a row.  For example:
   _ _
|_|^|^|     |
|*|*|^|*|___|

you would switch the right star with the lower triangle. The stars would
clear, and the triangles would fall and clear, making a x2 chain. If you ever
go over a x13 chain, it will begin to say x?.

===========================================================================
Q: How do I get rid of the garbage blocks in vs. mode?
===========================================================================

A: Ah, those nasty blocks. First, I'll give a brief description. Garbage
blocks are created in vs. mode by creating a chain, combo, or clearing a set of
! panels. In the case with chains, with each consecutive chain past x2, one
more layer will be added. They must be taken out one at a time.

Now, how do you get rid of them? Create a clear that touches the garbage block
and it and all of the same color garbage blocks touching the first one will
clear. Sometimes, you'll run into grey ones. Those will not clear when the
surroundings are red/blue ones.

--------------------------------WALKTHROUGH--------------------------------

===========================================================================
1 PLAYER MODES
===========================================================================

===========================================================================
ENDLESS MODE
===========================================================================

The endless mode is like the normal Tetris game. You have to clear the blocks
(panels) to try to keep them from touching the top of the screen. It keeps
going on until the panels hit the top. You can choose from three difficulty
modes and around 100 different rising speeds.

===========================================================================
TIME TRIAL MODE
===========================================================================

This is exactly like Endless, except you only have 2 minutes to get the best
score you can. Like before, you can choose your difficulty. As a general rule
for all non-Puzzle modes, chains and combos are worth the most points. Chains
are harder, but they give you tons of points if you get them really long.

===========================================================================
STAGE CLEAR MODE
===========================================================================

This is one of the two Adventure modes. This takes you through 30 stages, with
two Bowser battles. The first one is just a test, the other one you must beat
Bowser.

In the normal stages, the object is to have no panels above the "Clear" line.
When all on-screen panels are below the line, you advance to the next stage.

In the Bowser stages, you must lower Bowser's HP to zero. To do this, perform
combos and chains. Chains do tons more damage than combos, but both are useful
to give you time against the relentless rising panels, which rise REALLY fast.

===========================================================================
PUZZLE MODE
===========================================================================

This is the real time. This mode contains two sets of 60 puzzles to solve.
You must clear all of the panels in a certain amount of moves. I have decided
to give a walkthrough of as many of these as I can. When I get to the second
set, they will be referred to like 1-1 being *1-1*, etc.

NOTE (please read): When I refer to "columns", I mean the columns that are
occupied by the panels only, not necessary all of them. Oh yeah, for more than
three columns, the following special names will be used:
*4 Columns:
Second from left: left-middle
Second from right: right-middle
*5 Columns:
Same as 4 Columns
*6 Columns:
Second from left: left-left-middle
Third from left: left-middle
Third from right: right-middle
Second from right: right-right-middle

VS. MODE
===========================================================================

This is the other adventure mode. Here you must battle up to 12 enemies to
win. The trick is, if you use Combos and Chains, garbage blocks will fall on
your enemy. If you clear three or more of the special ! panels, a gray one
will fall. Strategies for each difficulty level:

EASY
As the name suggests, easy. This is the beginner level, with only 10 stages.
Experiment with different clears and see what happens when you get a long
chain!!!

NORMAL
This could be considered the beginner-novice level. This mode has 11 stages.
The panels get a small speed boost, and the enemies get more aggressive.
Again, long chains are the way to go!

HARD
This is the novice-expert level. This and the next mode each have 12 stages,
with Bowser in the 12th! Although it may seem hard, it's just practice for the
next mode.

EXTRA HARD (requries code, below)
This is it, the expert level. All your tricks and skills will be put to the
test. You must know how to quickly dispose of garbage blocks, as there are
plenty of them. The last stage, Bowser, is the toughest stage in the game.
Hit him fast and furious, as that is what he'll be doing to you.

===========================================================================
2 PLAYER MODES
===========================================================================

===========================================================================
TIME TRIAL MODE
===========================================================================

Same as above, except it is against two players to see who gets the higher
score.

===========================================================================
VS. MODE
===========================================================================

Same as above, except it is against two players and the computer does not play.

-------------------------------CODES/TRICKS--------------------------------

===========================================================================
HIDDEN CHARACTERS
===========================================================================

Go into either two player mode and press/hold the L and R buttons on Controller
2 and the boss characters will become playable characters.

===========================================================================
EXTRA HARD MODE
===========================================================================

Go into 1 player Vs. Move the cursor to Hard, then hold up and L buttons and
press start. The little dialogue thingy should turn dark red.

===========================================================================
HARDER GAME
===========================================================================

On the screen when someone says "Nintendo", press the B button, then the A
button, then the L button twice (BALL). When you perform a combo or chain, the
panels will not stop rising.

===========================================================================
PASSWORDS
===========================================================================

I am compiling a series of passwords for this game. All of them are founded by
me. They are all in progress passwords. Puzzle not completed yet.

This FAQ is (c)1998-2000 NickWhiz1 (NickWhiz1@aol.com)

Any parts of this relating to names or such inside the game is (c) that
company, since I'm too lazy to put them myself...

Any parts of this that was submitted or borrowed from another source (player's
guide, other FAQs, word of mouth or e-mail, etc...) is (c) of that source.

Now, some dos and don'ts:

DON'T:
-Place this fine piece of writing ON your website directly.
-Link DIRECTLY to this file (in other words, not the .txt file)
-Ask me if it's OK to put this on your website (that bugged me so bad)
-E-mail any questions about the game if it is already answered in these
hallowed words
-Anything else along these lines (stupid e-mails, threats, profanity, etc...)
-Ask me about my personal life
-Ask for a joint FAQ with me
-Sell it for any profit, unless it comes to me
-Keep e-mailing me about my incomplete FAQs

DO
-Use this the way it was intended to be used, to help you beat the game you are
using the FAQ for
-Link INDIRECTLY to this file (to the .html page, not the .txt file)
-Encourage other people to use this to help them
-Let me know of any sites with my FAQs or directly linking to them
-Make me your role model, learning to make FAQs like me.
-Worship Pokemon and tape every episode of the TV show (I'm close)
-Be patient on recieving replies. I ACTUALLY get e-mail, and quite a bit
too...
-Print out copies and give them to your friends
-Send me any new hints or codes that come along

-------------------------------IN CONCLUSION-------------------------------

I know I'm falling behind in the Puzzle mode, but I'm trying to update my other
FAQs, as well as making other ones. Just give me a chance to finish this,
although it might take a while.
