=============================================================================

Reset: Select + Start + B + A. It resets like most Game Boy games, but if
you have enabled Smoke, Smoke will still be there.

Fight Smoke: On any stage, if an uppercut makes Dan Forden come up from the
corner, press Down + Start really fast. If your timing was right than
you will be transported to Goro's Lair. Smoke has the same moves as Scorpion,
but is faster. Five well-placed roundhouses easily bring him down, even on
hard! Losing to Smoke does not waste a life.

Fight Jade: On the round before the question mark, win two times only using
the Kick button. If you did it right you will be transported to Goro's
Lair. Jade is immune to any projectil, even Sub-Zero's Ground Freeze and
Kitana's Fan Lift. She has the same moves as Kitana but is faster. Losing
to Jade does not waste a life, thank GOD!

---------< GameShark Codes >-----------------------------------------------

 ? : Infinite Time
010513DE : Infinite Lives
014020DD : Player 1 Invincible
010020DD : Player 1 No Health
 ? : Player 2 Invincible
 ? : Player 2 No Health
 ? : Tower Modifier
010*01DD : Play As Anyone

note: Fill in the * with who you want to play as. Characters go from left to
right on the select screen. Therefor; 0 is Liu Kang, 5 is Mileena and
so on. (9 is Shao Kahn)

---------< Glitches >------------------------------------------------------

Kitana: Do her Fan Lift and then the Fatality.

Jax: 2-3 Head Nock Off: Hold Kick, Forward, Forward, Forward, Up,
      release Kick.

Scorpion: When it's Finishing time, jump over your opponent and do his
Fatality after passing them in the air. He will stand up in mid air with his
mask off and fall to the ground. He will then blow the fire in the opposite
direction that your opponent is. Although it just touches the ground, your
opponent still catches on fire and explodes.

Shang Tsung: Do his Fatality, then as quickly as you can; start doing
his Stage Fatality. He should do his Soul Sucker, then let go of the crippled
opponent and just stand there. Your opponent's body will stay in the air just
as it was when you were holding them. The game freezes.

=============================================================================
---------------------< VIII. Explanations >--------------------------------
=============================================================================

            Kintaro lives?...

The following were in the HEX codes:

  "...SCORPION WINS...JAX WINS...KINTARO WINS...SHAO KAHN WINS...SMOKE WINS...JADE
WINS..."

Now is it just me or is that Kintaro's name I see? This is no joke. While his
name got programmed in I dont know about his sprites. I hope somebody will
take a GameShark and try to find a code to get him.

        -< Smoke and Jade >-
I don't think you can play as Smoke and Jade, even with the GameShark.
If I used a GameShark and typed in a 0 for the code to play as anyone, I
would play as Liu Kang. If I typed in a 9 I would play as Shao Khan. Therefor
if I want to see if there are any secret characters, all I have to do is go
through typing in all the numbers and letters and see who I play as. (I also
looked in the hex codes for names) Anyway, there were no secret characters
that I played as. 8,A,B,C,D,E,and F don't play as anyone, the game just
crashes. If it did, it would have to be a secret character because 0-7 are
the normal kombatants and 9 is Kahn. All I can think of is the programmers
took Kitana and Scorpion and made them faster. (and added "smoke" sprites to
Smoke) That way they wouldn't have to waste memory on more characters.

I've heard that you can play as Smoke and Jade with the G.S., but it has
never worked on mine or any of my roms, so I doubt it works.

---------< Changes in GameBoy version >------------------------------------

Lost Fighters: Bararka, Johnny Cage, Kano, Kung Lao, Sonya, Kintaro, and
               Noob Saibot.

Modified Moves:
      Scorpion: Doesn't have Leg takedown
      Shao Kahn: Doesn't have taunts

Lost Stages:
You only get to fight in three stages on the GameBoy version. They are:
The Kombat Tomb, Pit II, and the secret stage; Goro's Lair. It seems strange
why they would include the Pit II if you cant knock them off it. But in MK3
they included every stage fatality stage, but you couldn't even do a freekin
stage fatality.

Paul Courtney (me): I tried to compile everything I knew and could find for
the Ultimate MKII FAQ. I know a lot about emulation, so that sort of
helps to find secrets. The ASCII art is also by me.

John Evens (SStarmie): Figured out the roundhouse trick against Smoke.

The Internet: for roms, emulators, and hex editors. I love technology!

Midway: For making the game.

Acclaim: For porting the game to our home systems.
