INTRODUCTION
Although there are many other FAQs out there on SS2 for the Neo Geo 
Pocket, I thought that I'd write this FAQ to give a little bit more 
detail on each character.  The instruction booklet left out LOTS and 
LOTS of moves, so I'm attempting to catalogue the missing ones.  I've 
also included commentary on the moves to aid the gamer in its usage.  
The amount of commentary I give may vary because I'm biased towards some 
characters (ie. I despise the new characters Morozumi, Shiki, Asra and 
Yuga).  So if you can give a better commentary on certain characters, 
I'd appreciate it if you would send in your thoughts to

JOYSTICK MOTIONS
I'm lazy, so I've put in some abbreviations for the joystick motions 
used in the game.
qcf - quarter circle forward (fireball motion)
qcb - quarter circle back
dp - dragon punch motion (for those of you not familiar with SF2, it is 
f, d, df then f)
rdp - reverse dragon punch
hcf - half circle forward
hcb - half circle back


SLASH UKYO 
Swallow Swipe (qcf + A in air) - Ukyo jumps in the air and spins with a 
flaming blade out, but you better hit because there is long delay when 
you land.  Good damage (upto 3/4 an energy bar) but with the power up 
card, it becomes more damaging.  This is a great move to use instead of 
just a regular jumping slash (it also has extra reach).  Another great 
thing about this move is that you can use it while leaping backwards.  
After you do the back back motion for the leap, immediately do a half 
circle forward + B and it normally works.  The leaping backward attack 
does amazing against enemies who dash towards you or are moving towards 
you (ie Bust Kazuki's Imbrolio attack)

Concealed Saber Snowfall Slash (apple toss slash)(qcb + A) - Ukyo tosses 
an apple and follows up with multiple slashes ... it's good against 
jumping enemies and can be used to follow up a stunning hit (ie light 
slash).  Holding down the button will make it last longer but watch out 
because Ukyo will delay at the end (spins his sword and sheath)

Fake Apple Toss (qcb + B) - Ukyo will just throw an apple.  Used to fake 
out opponents (ie humans, doesn't work against computer)

Avalanche (dp + B) -  Ukyo grabs his opponent, tosses them up and 
slashes.  Pretty good damage.  Can be used basically when you are close 
and need to get away from the enemy.  Can be pretty cheap when used as a 
follow up hit (standing, jumping in slash or dashing slash)

Concealed Saber Heaven's Gale (hcb + B + A) - Ukyo will crouch down with 
holding his sword like he's about to strike, when the A button is 
pressed, Ukyo will jump through the air striking high.  This is good for 
opponents who just stand there or like to jump

Concealed Saber Warrior's Wind (hcb + B + B) - same as above but Ukyo 
will slash low

POW: Steaming Sextet - Ukyo leaps forward in the air and if contacts the 
enemy, will perform multiple Swallow Swipes.  Excellent damage and good 
in a combo

Slash Cards
# 91 - Spring Dream (hcf + B) - Ukyo's will put his hand on his sword, 
it glows and he seems to dodge for a minute, then dashes forward with 
two slashes.  The card says that it cannot be blocked and I think that 
it's true

# 92 - Shrike Swipe (same as Swallow Swipe) - supposed to make the move 
stronger


BUST UKYO
Swallow Swipe  (qcf + A in air) - Ukyo jumps in the air and spins with a 
flaming blade out, but you better hit because there is long delay when 
you land.  Good damage (upto 3/4 an energy bar) and with a power up card 
it makes it more damaging

Mist of Dreams (qcb + A or B) - Ukyo will do a quick glowing slash 
either high (A button) or low (B button), then spin his sword and 
sheaths it.  It is good for air defense but be careful because there is 
a long delay after the move

Morning Calm (rdp + A) - Ukyo will hold out his sword and block, when an 
enemy attacks high, they will be countered (purely defense move).  It's 
great for braking combo attacks (ie Bust Sogetsu's combo kick attack)

Still of Evening (rdp + B) -  Ukyo will do same as the above but will 
block low

POW: Ghostly Afterimage Mist - Ukyo will dash forward and when contacts 
the enemy, will perform a single slash (during all of this, haiku is 
being recited).  Good for combo.  

Bust Cards
# 95 - Gloomy Blade (qcf + A multiple times) - Ukyo will dash forward 
with multiple slashes ... just like in the old Samurai's

# 96 - Shrike Swipe (same as Swallow Swipe) - supposed to make the move 
stronger

SLASH RIMURURU
Lupu Quall (qcf + A) - Rimururu will throw out a ball of ice.  The 
longer you hold the button, the further it will go.

Konril No No (dp + A) - Rimururu slams the ground and a ball of ice 
travels upwards (like a dragon punch type move).

Upun Wo (qcb + A) - Rimururu shoots out icicles hitting for damage.  At 
the end, she fires out a huge one.

Konril Shira (push diagonally down or down + B) - Rimururu will make an 
ice platform in air and will stand there.  The platform will disappear 
soon, so better get off!!

Spinning Throw (dp + B) - Rimururu runs around the opponent and tosses 
them.

POW:  Lupu Kamui Emush - Rimururu summons a huge ball of ice and tosses 
it at the opponent.  It's not that good because it's slow to start off 
and can't hit up close or far.  Most of the time the enemy just blocks 
it.  Probably best if used against a jump.

Slash Cards
# 43 - St. Yaitobar (qcf + B) - Rimururu grabs the opponent and pushes 
them around the screen.  Very comical.

# 44 - Konril No No power up - same as original but supposed to make it 
stronger


BUST RIMURURU
Lupu Tec Num (hcb + B) - Rimururu will do an uppercut with her ice 
sword; when the enemy is hit they will be temporary encased in ice.  
This move is good to start a combo with (follow up with slashes or 
another power move)

Konril Nyu (qcb + A) - Rimururu freezes the ground infront of her 
causing the enemy to slip.  This move is pretty good in a combo.

Konril Shira (push diagonally down or down + B) - Rimururu will make an 
ice platform in air and will stand there.  The platform will disappear 
soon, so better get off!!

Kamui Shtokke (rdp + A) - Rimururu will cast a wall of ice infront of 
her, freezing her opponent.  Blocks fireballs. Again, this is good for 
combos.  I just found out that this move will reflect fireballs (I like 
it!)

Slap (dp + B) - grabs the enemy and then POW! right across the cheek.  
This leaves the enemy temporarily stunned.  More of a funny move than a 
useful one.  If you want to stun, use the Lupu Tec Num

POW:  Ruyan Bekon Runochoo - Rimururu aims with her finger and shoots 
out balls of ice.  I love this POW.  This POW is one of the best because 
it hits pretty easily (can't jump over or dodge) and does quite alot of 
damage (even if the enemy is blocking).

Bust Cards
# 47 - Prikon Kan (qcf + B) - Rimururu grabs her opponent and gives a 
furious kick to the groin!  Does  pretty OK damage.  It's more of a 
humorous move than anything.

# 48 - Roopsy Toom (rdp + B) - Ice will rise from the ground surrounding 
Rimururu.  She will now have the power of ice in her strikes (not sure 
if it does more damage).  If the move is performed again, Rimururu will 
summon a huge hammer made of ice and strike the ground.  I don't think 
this is blockable.  Does tremendous damage but is very slow.  Use it 
when you knock down the opponent.  The other thing is that she will 
constantly lose energy while under the influence of the ice gods.

SLASH CHARLOTTE
Power Gradation (dp + A) - Charlotte does an uppercut like move with her 
sword.  This does great damage and is easy to use as a follow up move to 
a jumping in slash or after a stunning move.

Triad Slash (qcf + A) - Charlotte will charge up and release a 
triangular fireball at the enemy.  Holding down the button will make the 
fireball travel farther and quicker.

POW:  Splash Gradation - Charlotte does multiple slashes as a triangular 
projectile rotates around the enemy.  She will then go on to do a Power 
Gradation while the star like images of her slashes remain.

Slash Cards
# 78 - Splash Feint (qcb + B) - Charlotte turns her back, I think that 
flowers come out, pauses for a moment and then lunges forward with a 
shadow image trailing her.  Really good at hitting enemies at a 
distance.  I think that it might be unblockable.

# 79 - Serge Lance (dp + B) - Charlotte grabs the opponent and does a 
jumping knee at them.  This will temporarily stun the opponent so that 
you can follow up with another move like Power Gradation or slash.  I 
don't this can be blocked.


BUST CHARLOTTE
Power Gradation (dp + A) - Charlotte does an uppercut like move with her 
sword.  This does great damage and is easy to use as a follow up move to 
a jumping in slash or after a stunning move.

Bio Net Rush (qcf + A) - Charlotte charges up briefly and releases an 
energy lance at the enemy.  This is a great move for jumping enemies.  
Kinda cheap.

POW:  Crystal rose - Charlotte tosses up a rose and hits the enemy 
multiple times, lunges then does a Power Gradation while a large crystal 
explodes.  Pretty cool looking.  Kinda hard to use though because the 
enemy has to be close.

Bust Cards
#79 - Offered Rose (rdp + B) - Charlotte holds out a rose offering it to 
the enemy.  If the enemy tries to attach with a slash, Charlotte will 
block it and do a cool looking lunge.

# 80 - Lion Lance (dp + B) - grabs the opponent and gives them a big 
slap across the face.  This is a good move to temporarily stun the enemy 
and follow up with a hard slash or Power Gradation.  This cannot be 
blocked.

SLASH GENJURO
Lightning Wings (dp + A) - Genjuro does a rising uppercut type move with 
his sword.  Used like a normal uppercut move (ie follow-up attack after 
jumping in)

Cherry Blossoms Slice (qcb + A) - Genjuro will toss out a deck of cards 
at the enemy.  If the button is held down, he will release two cards.

Triple Death Hack (qcf + A x 3) - Genjuro will dash forward slashing the 
enemy each time he passes.  Good for catching air enemies.  Even works 
sometimes when the enemy is blocking.

Death Drops (dp + B) - Genjuro grabs the enemy and tosses them upwards 
towards the sky.  He then jumps up and proceeds to hack them down 
towards the ground.  Seems to be unblockable.

POW:  Five Photon Slice - Using an upward slash, Genjuro tosses the 
opponent up.  Genjuro then jumps up and performs five different slashes 
in the air, each time a different card appears.  Hard to use because you 
have to be close to use it.

Slash Cards
# 27 - Cranium Bop (qcf + B) - Genjuro will grab the enemy and then do a 
headbutt, causing the enemy to be stunned.

# 28 - Wing Blade - the power up move of the lightning wings.  Genjuro 
does additional slashes for extra damage.


BUST GENJURO
Death of 100 Demons (qcf + A) - Genjuro dashes forward and impales his 
enemy.  He then stabs them a couple of times and then kicks them off.  
This has pretty good distance.

Evil God Pommeler (hcb + AA) - Genjuro will charge up for a while until 
the button is pressed.  When pressed, Genjuro will dash forward stabbing 
the enemy so hard that they fall over.  This covers quite a bit of 
distance as well.

Purple Sunset (hcf + A) - Genjuro poses to strike, a field of energy 
will appear a little bit in front of him and then he slashes.  As he 
slashes, a card appears.  This is very slow to appear.

POW:  Quintuple Photons of Anti-Matter - Tosses the enemy up and 
performs 5 slashes on the way up.  Have to be close to use this.

Bust Cards
# 31 - Twist Slash (dp + B) - Genjuro grabs the opponent, spins them 
around with his sword and then kicks them

# 32 - Demon Death (qcf + A) - power up move of Death of 100 Demons.  
Genjuro performs additional stabs on the enemy.

SLASH HANZO
Ninja Windsplitter (qcf + A in air) - Hanzo will pause in mid-air and 
throw out shruikens at a 45 degree angle.  Depending on how long you 
hold the button, he will throw out one or two stars.  This is an ok 
move, I use it mostly to save my ass (prolong the air time).  For 
example, against a Bust Kazuki, when he uses the Flaming Hot Hades 
attack, you want to stay in air and not want to touch the ground.

Ninja Reppu Shruiken (qcf + A) - Hanzo tosses out shruikens.  Holding 
down the button will make Hanzo throw out two shruikens.

Ninja Time Bomb (qcb + B) - Hanzo holds out a bomb, when it hits the 
enemy, Hanzo flips away and turns his back.  The enemy can move around 
for awhile but then explode.

Exploding Dragon Blast (qcb + A) - Hanzo punches the ground and a stream 
of flames will travel across the ground.

Exploding Atom Flash (dp + B) - Hanzo punches the ground and a burst of 
flames will surround Hanzo.  This is used mainly as a defense move 
against air attacks or enemies dashing in (ie Slash Ukyo's Concealed 
Saber Heaven's Gale).  He will temporarily blink and fade out (I think 
that he is temporarily invincible).

Sky Cicade Boogie (b, hcb + A) - Hanzo teleports and disappears, then 
reappears above the enemy.  He drops down and slashes the enemy.  This 
is a great move for an enemy coming to attack.

Ninja Demon Attack (b, hcb + B) - Hanzo teleports away and reappears 
from the ground, slashing the enemy.  This is a great move for 
countering an attacking enemy.

Ninja Shadow Splitter (f, hcf + A or B) - Hanzo will teleport and two 
images will appear on the left and right.  Depending on what button is 
pressed, Hanzo will appear there.  A is left and B is right.

Air Grab (down + A in air) - grabs the opponent out of air and does a 
mini piledriver

POW:  Wild Whirl Wind Dirk - Hanzo will toss out a large shruiken, when 
it hits, he will continue to toss out more stars.  After a couple, he 
will teleport infront of the enemy and use a Ninja Time Bomb, then flips 
away.  The enemy will then explode and Hanzo turns his back.  This POW 
has good damage.

Slash Cards
# 51 - Buddha Morph (when hit, f + B) - Hanzo will leave a log in his 
place and will teleport above the enemy and drop down slashing them.

# 52 - Demon Morph (when hit, b + B) - Hanzo will leave a log and will 
appear from the ground and slash the enemy.


BUST HANZO
Shadow Splitter (f, hcf + A or B) - Hanzo will teleport and two images 
will appear on the left and right.  Depending on what button is pressed, 
Hanzo will appear there.  A is left and B is right.

Ninja Monkey Dance (b, hcb + B) - Hanzo will teleport and appear above 
and behind  the opponent.  This is good to launch an air attack from.

Ninja Teleport (b, hcb + B) - Hanzo teleports quickly away and reappears 
behind the opponent.  This is a quick version of the Shadow Splitter.  
Only appears behind.

Shrike Drop (dp + B) - Hanzo does a grabs the enemy and does a jumping 
piledriver on the enemy.  In the previous Samurai Showdowns, this was 
the most powerful moves.  Seems to be unblockable.

Spider Dash (qcf + B) - Hanzo will dash across the ground and tackle the 
enemy.  I'm not sure how this works yet, but I think you can do chain 
combos.  It seems as though if you keep on hitting the B button, you 
will do a tackle, then do some leg breaker.

Thunderbolt (hcb + B) - Hanzo will grab the enemy and toss them onto the 
ground.  If you push the A button, Hanzo will do a neckbreaking move.  
If you press the B button, Hanzo will do a leg breaker move.

??Ninja Beating Technique (hcf + B) - Hanzo will grab the enemy and give 
them an elbow to the face then he will break their arm.  This will make 
the enemy fall to the ground.  If you then press B again, he will do a 
finger poke technique to break the spine.  If A button is pressed again, 
Hanzo will leap up into the air and do a crushing stomp on the enemy's 
back

Neckbreaker (dp + A) - Hanzo will hop in to the air and land on the 
enemy.  He will then grab the enemy's head and do a neckbreaker attack 
(a cool X-ray image of the enemies head being snapped appears).  If 
Hanzo lands the enemy on the way down, he will tackle the enemy and 
break the opponent's legs.

Ninja Exploding Atom Blast Counter (f or b + B when hit) - Hanzo will 
punch the ground and a large explosion will surround him, hitting the 
enemy for massive damage.  Very good against enemies who combo.

Air Grab (down + A in air) - grabs the opponent out of air and does a 
mini piledriver

POW:  Sublime Shrike Slam - Hanzo grabs the enemy, does an elbow to the 
head and then proceeds to do spine buster strikes.  Hanzo will then 
pause and flip away as the enemy collapses.  At first I thought that 
this move sucked but then I found out that there is a second part to the 
move.  By doing the Shrike Slam motion (dp + B) he will do flaming 
piledriver for additional damage (hence the name).  

Bust Cards 
# 55 - Shrike Drop (dp +B) - this makes the move much more entertaining.  
Hanzo will do a piledriver like as usual, but this time he will leap up 
into the sky and drop the enemy from there.  Instead of bursting into 
flames, the enemy's head will be drilled into the ground.

# 56 - Shrike Slam (dp + B) - I think that this is supposed to make the 
piledriver stronger.  I think that this one will put in the funny x-ray 
picture of the enemy's skull being crushed.

SLASH JUBEI
Geyser Thrust (qcf + A) - Jubei throws a ground projectile at the enemy.

Tsunami Saber (dp + A) - Jubei dashes forward and bodychecks the enemy.  
After a couple of hits, he will do an upper cut like slash.

Saber Thrash (qcb + A A) - Jubei charges up temporarily and when the 
button is pressed again.  Jubei moves forward slashing.  I don't this is 
blockable.  It hits many times and does good damage.  To cancel the 
move, push the B button.

POW:  Jellyfish Thrust - Jubei charges up and when the A button is 
pressed again, he will release a massive column of energy.  It takes too 
long to execute though.

Slash Card
# 99 - Power Jab (dp + B) - Jubei will grab the enemy and do a couple of 
palm strikes, then do a roundhouse kick to knock down the enemy.

# 100 - Tidal Saber (dp + A) - This is the power up move of the Tsunami 
Saber.  Jubei starts out by pointing his sword then executes the move.  
After the uppercut portion, it the A button is pressed again, Jubei will 
do an additional hit in the air.


BUST JUBEI
Geyser Thrust (qcf + A) - Jubei throws a ground projectile at the enemy.

Heavenly Exterminator (qcb + A held down) - Jubei will hold out his 
sword high to block the enemy's attack.  When blocked, Jubei will 
perform a mini-uppercut (Tsunami Saber)

Assured Destruction Swipe (qcb + A shortly) - Jubei will hold out his 
sword at medium height.  When blocked, Jubei will slash the enemy

Geyser Death Thrust (qcb + B) - Jubei blocks low with his sword.  When 
blocked, he will counter with a low attack.

Stunner? (qcf + B) - Jubei will temporarily charge up and glow.  He then 
dashes forward with a medium height attack.  This will stun the enemy.  
When the A button is pressed additional times, he will do additional 
attacks (upto two).  I think this is unblockable.

POW:  Furious String of Storms - Jubei performs many thrusts with his 
sword, each time shooting out a pointed projectile.  After a couple of 
hits, Jubei performs a Tsunami Saber to finish off the opponent.

Bust Cards
# 103 - AAAH! (dp + B) - Jubei does a power shout that will knock the 
enemy down.

# 104 - Lolly Plop (rdp + B) - Jubei will take out a lollipop and eat 
it.  I have no idea what this move is used for.  Maybe it makes him 
stronger (?)

SLASH KAZUKI
Flames of Disaster (qcb + B) - Kazuki will create a fireball that will 
follow him around.  He can create up to two fireballs.  This move alone 
does not do anything but it will power-up the Stationary Strike and 
Giant Death Blast attacks.

Stationary Strike (qcf + A) - Kazuki will shoot a fireball from his 
hands.  Does great damage when powered up.

Giant Death Blast (dp + A) - Kazuki does a choke hold on the opponent, 
then sends them off with an explosion.  If done with flames of disaster, 
they will add additional explosions causing lots of damage.

Disruption Eruption (rdp + B) - Kazuki does a rage explosion type pose, 
if he is hit with a physical attack, the enemy will receive a huge 
explosion.

POW: In the Inferno - Kazuki does a rage explosion type attack.  Fire 
surrounds him temporarily.  This has limited range but does great 
damage.

Slash Cards
# 3 - Dragon Flame (hcb + A) - Kazuki will punch the ground, and a flame 
will erupt a distance away from him.  Holding down the button will make 
the flame appear farther.  This is a very damaging move but kinda hard 
to hit opponents with.

# 4 - Flame Fist (dp + B) - Kazuki grabs the enemy, punches the opponent 
once and then does a palm strike that sends them flying while on fire.  
More of a humorous move, not that damaging (rather do a Giant Death 
Blast) although it is unblockable.


BUST KAZUKI
Imbroglio Attack (rdp + A) - Kazuki will dash forward while on fire.  
When he contacts the enemy, they will go flying.  This is a great move 
to do on opponents who jump or are dashing in to attack (it beats most 
attacks)

Flaming Hot Hades (dp + A) - Kazuki will light the ground surrounding 
him on fire.  Any opponent touching this will get burned!  Good against 
enemies that like to teleport (ie Galford, Hanzo, Shiki).  It is a well 
rounded attack to use whenever.

Flaming Knight's Exploding Tiger Slash (hcb + B) - Kazuki will charge up 
temporarily, step forward and perform a palm strike.  This move does 
crazy amounts of damage (5/8th of the entire energy meter with the POWER 
UP card) and I think in unblockable.  The only downside is that it is 
hard to use because it is so slow.

Explosion of Righteousness (qcf + A x 3) - Kazuki will first slide on 
the ground to trip the enemy, the second hit he will give them an 
uppercut that sends them flying upwards, the third hit, Kazuki jumps in 
the air and performs a flaming hammer strike on the opponent.

POW:  Crazy Awakening - Kazuki has several POW's that he can perform 
depending on what button you press.  I believe that his POW's are the 
most powerful in the game, as they do massive damage (can kill an enemy 
with more than a full red bar).  They all start off with Kazuki 
exploding with power and then crouching down.
Flaming Punches - if the A button is pressed, Kazuki will stand up and 
perform 3 flaming punches.
Zombie Walk - pushing the B button, Kazuki walks forwards in a trance-
like state.  Each step that he takes explodes and shakes the ground.  
After a couple of steps, he will end with a massive explosion.  This 
move will juggle the enemy.
Flaming Touch - pushing forward and the A button, Kazuki will walk 
towards the opponent, put his hand on the enemy.  The enemy will then 
explode a couple of times.
Fire Block - pushing forward and B button, Kazuki will stand up and stay 
there in a trance.  If the enemy attacks, Kazuki will explode.
Fire Bomb - I don't know how to perform this but I have see the computer 
use this one.  Kazuki will jump up and out of the screen.  He will then 
drop down, head first on to opponent causing a massive explosion.  I 
think that this is unblockable.

Bust Cards
# 7 - Hell Path (qcf + B when POW charged) - Kazuki slides forward and 
trips the enemy, does a one-arm choke hold , punches them up into the 
sky, leaps up and grabs the enemy, comes down with a choke slam and 
finally does a flaming hot Hades.  At first I didn't know how to use 
this but I figured it out.  This turns out to be quite powerful (more 
than the POW?).  After the first B button press, push A, then B then A 
and finally B again.  

# 8 - Mutate Heat (rdp +B) - Kazuki will burst with energy (like when 
you do a rage explosion).  Afterwards, he will be on fire (literally).  
All of his attacks cause the enemy to light on fire (and do more 
damage?).  Also, he is unable to block but this makes him more dangerous 
because he can hit enemies in the middle of their attacks.  This 
technique is good against other players and 1P mode but bad in Survival 
mode.

SLASH SOGETSU
Moon Glow (dp + A) - A water spout will appear from beneath the enemy.  

Lunar Ring Swing (qcf + A on ground or in air) - Shoots out a bubble.  
It becomes more powerful with the Spirit Summons.

Spirit Summons (qcb + B) - Sogetsu summons balls of water.  This will 
power-up the Lunar Ring Swing.

Eclipse (qcb + A) - Sogetsu will teleport away.  If button is pressed 
quickly, he will appear in the same spot.  If pressed longer, he will 
teleport behind the enemy.

POW:  Lunar Water Spurt Wave - A wave of water will rise from the ground 
and surround Sogetsu.  Hits for multiple times.

Slash Card
# 11 - Deadly Moon (qcb + B in air) - Sogetsu will dive to the ground 
and grab the enemy, and flip the opponent onto the ground.

# 12 - Moon Glow (dp + A) - Power-up for the move.  Doesn't really do 
that much.


BUST SOGETSU
Rising Moon (dp + A) - Sogetsu does a spinning type kick upwards (kinda 
like Fei Long from Street Fighter II).

Reflecting Moon (qcb + A) - Sogetsu shoots out a ball of water

Lotus Whirlpool (qcf + A x 3) - Sogetsu kicks forwards, doing combos.

POW:  Heavenward Lotus - Starts off the same as Lotus Whirlpool but he 
will send the enemy to the sky, and he follows.  In the sky, he will 
give them extra beatings.

Bust Cards
# 15 - Rising Moon (dp + A) - power up move where he will do additional 
kicks at the peak of the kick

# 16 - Poseidon (rdp + B) - Sogetsu gets the power of water.  This will 
make him unable to block but he will not be knocked down  and will not 
be stunned (by most moves).

SLASH GALFORD
Replica Attack (b, hcb + A or B) - Galford will teleport above the enemy 
and drop down slashing them for damage.  Pushing A will teleport infront 
the enemy and B will teleport behind.

Shadow Copy (f, hcb + A or B) - Galford disappears and appears a second 
later.  Pushing A will teleport to the left and B will be to the right.

NOTE:  I think that the names of the Shadow Copy and Replica Attack were 
reversed in the instruction book.

Rush Dog (qcf + A shortly) - Poppy will run forward and knock the enemy 
down

Machine Gun Dog (qcf + A long) - Poppy will maul the enemy and knock 
them down

Overhead Crash (qcf + B) - Galford will jump up into the air, holding 
onto Poppy.  At the peak of the jump, he will toss Poppy down at a 45 
degree angle.

Strike Heads (qcb + A short) - Poppy dashes forward and does a 
piledriver 

Replica Dog (qcb + A long) - Poppy will teleport and drop down on the 
enemy from above

POW:  DDD - Poppy dashes forward and mauls the enemy in a big pile 
smoke.

# 59 - Feed the Dog (qcb + B) - Gives Poppy a piece of meat

# 60 - Mega Strike Dog (qcb + A at full POW) - Galford charges up, does 
a flip kick that knocks the enemy into the air, then teleports and does 
a high kick which knocks the enemy back.  Poppy then teleports and does 
a piledriver in mid air.


BUST GALFORD
Replica Attack (b, hcb + A or B) - Galford will teleport above the enemy 
and drop down slashing them for damage.  Pushing A will teleport infront 
the enemy and B will teleport behind.

Shadow Copy (f, hcb + A or B) - Galford disappears and appears a second 
later.  Pushing A will teleport to the left and B will be to the right.

Plasma Burst (dp + A) - Galford sends an arc of electricity between his 
arms

Plasma Blade (qcf + A) - Galford shoots out of his hands a bolt of 
plasma that travels across the screen.  If the A button is tapped again, 
Galford will make the plasma blast spark (small explosion?)

Strike Heads (dp + B) - Galford grabs the enemy and does a jumping 
piledriver

Lightning Slash (qcb + B) - Galford dashes across the screen and does a 
flip kick that knocks the enemy into the air.  Then does an electrical 
slash that sends the enemy across the screen

POW:  TBC - Galford charges up, then does the arc of electricity thing.  
Lightning will strike down on the opponent.

Bust Cards
# 63 - Lightning Strike Three (qcb + A at POW) - Galford starts by 
sending an arc of electricity between his arms then he dashes forward 
and does a flip kick which sends the enemy into the air.  He then 
teleports and does a high kick that juggles the enemy in the air.  
Finally, he teleports and does a piledriver in mid-air (a bolt of 
lightning follows).

# 64 - Plasma Factor (rdp + B) - Galford charges up and electricity 
surrounds his body.  All of his attacks will now shock the opponent.  If 
the move is performed again, he will jump kick across the screen.  The 
only problem is that this move will drain energy, so be careful when 
using this in survival mode.

SLASH HAOHMARU
Crescent Moon Slash (dp + A) - Haohmaru does a circular cut that travels 
upwards.  Typical air defense type attack.

Secret Cyclone Slash (qcf + A) - Haohmaru  sends a tornado across the 
screen.  If it hits, it will carry the enemy upwards and drop them onto 
the ground

Secret Earthquake Slash (rdp + A) - Haohmaru leaps into the air towards

# 20 - Deus Slash (bfd + A at POW) - He does many Crescent Moon Slashes 
on the ground and the final one he jumps up, sending the enemy into the 
sky.


BUST HAOHMARU
Crescent Moon Slash (dp + A) - Haohmaru does a circular cut that travels

Kamui Risse (rdp + A) - Nakoruru will swing her cape a couple of times.  
I think that this move can deflect fireballs

Annu Mutsube (b, db, d + A) - Nakoruru will dash forward with her sword 
out.  This will hit low.

Lela Mutsube (dp + A) - Nakoruru will dive upwards at a 45 degree angle

Mamahaha Grab (qcb + B) - Nakoruru will grab Mamahaha.  You can fly 
around for a bit before you drop.  

Kamui Mutsube (A+B after hawk grab) - She will dive down at a 45 degree 
angle (for me, it only works if I hold forward and A + B)

Mamahaha dive (qcf + A) - Nakoruru will send Mamahaha to attack

Lera O Chikiri (dp + B) - Nakoruru does her famous irritating throw 
attack.  She knocks down the opponent then leaps and stomps on the 
enemy.

Air Grab (down + A in air)

POW:  Iruska Yatrori Musse - Nakoruru will charge up, a huge aura 
appears above here and multiple glowing Mamahaha will be sent out.  This 
POW is actually pretty good.

Slash Cards
# 35 - Kamui Mutsube (A+B after hawk grab) - supposed to be the power up 
version, but I really don't see the difference.

# 36 - Kamui Risse (rdp + A) - this makes Nakoruru swing her cape a 
couple of extra times and finish off with whipping type strike.


BUST NAKORURU
Kamui Risse (rdp + A) - Nakoruru will swing her cape a couple of times.  
I think that this move can deflect fireballs

My Shikitay (d, db, d + A while Wolf Pounce) - the wolf and Nakoruru 
will dash forward and body check the opponent.  This does great damage!

Kanto Shikitay (dp + A while Wolf Pounce) - does a move similar to the 
Lela Mutsube

Imel Shikitay (qcf + A in air while Wolf Pounce) - Will come down 45 
degrees, striking the enemy

Lela O Chikiri (qcf + B) - Nakoruru will dash across the screen trying 
to leap on the opponent.  When she does, the will fall down; Nakoruru 
then mounts them and stabs them in the chest.

Air Grab (down + A in air)

POW:  Iruska Emushi Newa Shikitay - She jumps on the wolf, dashes 
forwards hitting the enemy, then does a Kanto Shikitay which sends the 
enemy into the sky.  The next scene shows the enemy in the sky, Nakoruru 
and the wolf attack in an X pattern.

Bust Cards
# 39 - Steel Kick (dp + B) - grabs the opponent and gives them a kick to 
the shin

# 40 - Annu Mutsube (b, db, d + A) - the power up version.  Allows her 
to hit multiple times.  Note that the card has the move incorrectly 
printed (it shows the movement for Kamui Risse)

SLASH ASRA
Refi Shull (hcb + AA + BA) - Asra will teleport and there will be two 
images of him.  If A button is pressed, he will appear closer to the 
opponent and B will make him appear farther.  Pushing the A button again 
will make Asra do a powerful electrical slash.

Shed Moosa (qcf + A) - Asra takes out a bow and shoots and arrow

Rofe Lef (dp + A) - Asra punches the ground and a huge blade will rise 
from the ground infront of him.  Holding down the button will cause the 
blade to appear slightly farther away.

Noh Ahmu (rdp + B) - Asra puts up a shield to defend himself.  If the 
enemy attacks, spikes will shoot out of the shield and hit the enemy.

Golf Club Swing??? (rdp + A) - Asra swings this big thing (looks like a 
giant golf club, maybe its a scythe).  After the first swing, some 
plasma type slash will follow.  

POW:  Thanatus - Asra first sticks out some weird thing that looks like 
a giant key.  This will trap the opponent in a cage.  Then he takes out 
his giant axe and does a cut.  Then he takes out his golf club and 
finishes off by doing an overhead cut with his sword.

Slash Cards
# 67 - Beelzebub (dp + B) - Asra will grab the enemy then take out his 
massive axe and do massive cut.  This does lots of damage.

# 68 - Helas (qcf + B) - Asra raises his sword up slowly (does the 
charging up thing) and pause, then step forward to do an overhead cut.  
This does good damage and I think that it is unblockable. 


BUST ASRA
Le Ille Baque (qcf + A) - Asra shoots out a laser beam from his palm

Les Mals (dp + A) - Asra summons lightning to strike down

Les Shima (hcb + A) - Asra stabs the ground, a portal will appear on the 
ground and travel towards the opponent.  This will suck the enemy into 
the ground and spit them back out.

Le Tag Ragoo (qcf + B) - Asra charges up then lunges forward with his 
sword.  This move is probably unblockable.

Air Fireball (qcf + A in air) - Asra will shoot two balls of black 
energy towards the ground

POW:  Les Fa La  - Asra turns into a black sphere and will move towards 
to the opponent.  If he contacts, Asra attacks then the screen turns 
black, he then returns to do another slash.  In the final slash, the 
opponent collapse and falls to the ground.

Bust Cards
# 71 - Nova Latem (rdp + B) - It looks like Asra shines his sword.  He 
then surrounded by weird black lightning.  All of his slashes will cause 
the opponent to be engulfed in electricity.  Performing the move again 
will turn off the move.  Pushing rdp + A unlocks a secret move.  He will 
charge up and shoot forward a large black sphere (kinda like the one he 
becomes in his POW).  This is just another fireball though.  One more 
thing, performing the Nova Latem will constantly drain energy.

# 72 - Le Curse (dp + B) - Will cause Asra to fly.  In air, if you do 
the rdp + A motion, it will unlock another secret move.  He does a large 
downward sweeping sword slash.  While flying, you can do the air 
fireball move.  If you do the motion for Nova Latem, he will charge up 
in air and will actually gain energy!!

SLASH SHIKI
Heavenly Halo Blast (dp + A) - Shiki does an upwards slash while leaping 
into the air.  If you hold the button down, she will do an additional 
slash in the air

Daw Flash (qcf + A) - Shiki dashes forwards and does a low sliding 
slash, then follows up with an upwards flipping slash (if the button is 
held down long enough)

Netherworld Toss (dp + B) - Shiki leaps into the air and does a 
frankensteiner type attack.  She grabs the opponent with her legs and 
flips them onto the ground

Neck Slice (rdp + B) - Shiki grabs the opponent and does a massive 
upwards slash

??Teleport (quarter circle left or quarter circle right + B) - Shiki 
teleports.  Pushing left no matter what side you are facing will cause 
her to teleport and drop towards the left.  Pushing right will cause her 
to drop towards the right

POW:  Magic Wave Heaven - Shiki rams into her opponent, does a couple of 
rotating slashes, then follows up with large flipping slashes (the final 
one sets the enemy on fire)

Slash Cards
# 107 - Lotus Dance (d, b, f + B) - Shiki leaps into the air and follows 
a large arc.  If she lands on the opponent, she does some sort of weird 
stepping kick that knocks the opponent down.  Pushing the A or B button 
will cause her to do a flipping slash in air.  This move seems 
absolutely USELESS!

# 108 - Heaven Wave (Power-up for POW) - Shiki rams into her opponent, 
does a couple extra of rotating slashes, then follows up with large 
flipping slashes (the final one sets the enemy on fire)


BUST SHIKI
Wheel of Justice (qcf + A) - A large "wheel" appears and hits the enemy 
for damage.  Holding the button will make the circle appear farther 
away.

Ephemeral Bop (qcb + A or B) - Shiki will teleport away.  Pushing A 
button will make her appear more or less in the same spot.  Pushing the 
B button will make her appear behind the opponent.

The Void (d, b, f + B) - Shiki will grab and kiss her opponent.  This 
will render them confused (controls are mixed up)

Mash of Mutability (rdp + A) - Shiki dashes forwards,  disappears and 
re-appears on the other side.  If the opponent doesn't block low, they 
will be hit. 

??Sparkly block (rdp + B) - Shiki will swing her blade and sparkles will 
trail.  If the enemy attacks they will be countered.

??Split kick drop (hcf + B) - Shiki charges up, lifts her leg up 
vertically and then drops down into splits..  This does great damage but 
it is hard to use.

POW:  Colorful Curse - Shiki will dashes towards the opponent, jumps on 
their back, knocks them down and then gives them a couple of kisses.  
This will allow her to regain some energy.

Bust Cards
# 111 - Pity (f, hcf + B) - a large aura will flash out from Shiki.  If 
the enemy is caught inside, the enemy will copy Shiki and both will stab 
themselves.  I don't think that the enemy receives extra damage or 
anything.  Therefore this move is USELESS!

# 112 - Blue Deity (dp + B) - Shiki will start to fly.  During flight 
you can shoot fireballs by doing the fireball motion with A.  As well, 
she has another POW while doing this.  She shoots multiple fireballs at 
the enemy.

SLASH MOROZUMI
Flame (qcf + A) - Swings brush and if the enemy is caught, they will be 
sent upwards and when they land they will be set on fire.

Wind (hcb + A) - Morozumi swings his brush and a tornado is sent out

Thunderbolt (dp + A) - Morozumi leaps forwards and strikes down (like 
Haohmaru's Earthquake slash but more useless).  If this hits, the enemy 
is sent upwards and when they land the will be electrocuted.

Slash (rdp + A) - Dashes forwards and cuts through the enemy a couple of 
time.  Copy of Genjuro's move but not as good

POW:  Raging Heaven - hits the enemy a couple of times as a bunch of 
characters appear.

Slash Cards
# 83 - Destruction (dp + B) - Rotates his brush up high.  This will hit 
the enemy if they run into it.  Seems pretty useless because it doesn't 
even do good damage.
# 84 - Heaven Rage (Power up for POW) - hits the enemy a couple of times 
as a bunch of characters appear.  Final hit sends opponent skywards.


BUST MOROZUMI
Flame (qcf + A) - Swings brush and if the enemy is caught, they will be 
sent upwards and when they land they will be set on fire.

Eruption (hcb + A) - Swings his brush and a spout of water come out

Imprisonment (qcf + B) - hits the opponent a couple of times and knocks 
them down.  A character then appears above the opponent.  Not sure what 
it does.

POW:  Flaming Blast - Hits the opponent a couple of times then sends 
them upwards.  Each time Morozumi strikes the ground, a character 
appears and will cause the enemy to burst into flames.

Bust Cards
# 87 - Misfortune (qcb + B) - Grabs the opponent with brush, lifts them 
above his head and swirls them around for a bit.  The enemy then has a 
character above them.  Not sure what it does.

# 88 - Chaos (rdp + B) - A counter attack move.  It does good damage.

SLASH YUGA
Laser (qcf + A)  - Shoots a beam of laser from his hands

Lightning (dp + A) - Lightning strikes down.  Just like Asra move

Teleport (qcb + A) - Teleports behind the enemy

Explosion (qcb + B) - Does an explosion that his up close

Slash Cards
# 115 - Eternity (dp + B) - An circular aura thing comes out of Yuga.  
If enemy is caught in it, they will be levitated.  Yuga then sucks some 
purple flaming stuff from them and then crushes it.  

# 116 - Vishashana (POW) - Does the aura thing, levitates the enemy then 
he disappears.  Gandara then dashes across the screens and takes the 
opponent outside of the screen where he beats them up while Yuga covers 
his face.  The opponent is then sent back.


BUST YUGA
Big Ass Blast (qcf + A) - Yuga shoots out a massive energy blast from 
his hands

Lightning Arrows (qcf + A in air) - Yuga shoots out lightning arrows 
from the sky

Electric Shield (dp + A) - electricity surrounds him

Firetrail (qcb + A) - like Slash Hanzo's fireball

Air dash (qcb + B) - jumps into air and comes down at an angle (like 
Nakoruru)

Stab (dp + B) - Yuga sticks out some sort of pointy thing and stabs the 
opponent.  He then lifts them up and a bunch of needle things hit the 
enemy.

Bust Cards
# 119 - Mercy (f, hcf + B) - A circular burst of energy comes out of 
Yuga.  If the enemy is caught in it, they will stab themselves.  This 
move is kind of like Shiki's move but no damage is done to yourself.  
Not blockable.

# 120 - Blood Well (POW) - Yuga teleports upwards and reappears in the 
background.  He then shoot a huge blast at the ground that causes a 
column of energy to blast upwards (kinda like Slash Jubei's POW).


MISCELLANEOUS
How do I get cards?
There are 4 ways to get the cards.  First, everytime you beat a 
character in the normal 1 player mode with a POW, you will earn a card.  
Second, everytime you beat the rock monsters (Gandara).  Third, when you 
beat the game.  On easy you get 2 cards, normal you get 3 cards and hard 
you get 4 cards (remember you will get another card if you kill Yuga 
with a POW).  Fourth, on survival mode, every 7 characters you beat you 
will earn one card (pretty tough to earn alot this way). 

What in *BLAZES* are those stars on the cards for?
I think it's one of those things that the SNK programmers put into the 
game to screw with our brains.  At first I thought that 3 stars meant 
that the card was the best for that particular character; 2 stars was ok 
and 1 star was the crappiest.  After looking at the skills for awhile, 
the rating didn't make sense.  Some obvious ass-kicking skills were 
rated with 1 star while the defense card was 3 stars.  My current theory 
on the card stars is that it determines how rare the cards are.  I 
noticed that for cards with 1 star, I tended to have more of them 
(closer to 8).  For cards with 3 stars, it seemed that I had few of them 
(closer to 1 or 2 of them).  Try it for yourself, the card that you get 
last for a particular character is probably a 3 star card.

How do I play as Yuga?
On the character selection screen, go to Kuroko.  Hold down the B button 
and you will here a weird tone.  Then rotate the joystick 360 degrees a 
couple of time.  If you do this properly, you will hear that same weird 
tone everytime you go to a different character.  When done properly,  
Kuroko's portrait will be replaced by Yuga.  Make sure you don't let go 
of B when you select him.

How come Yuga doesn't have a POW?
He does have a POW, it is on one of his cards.  This means that you have 
to go on survival mode or try to beat the game lots of times.

Who's the best character?
Of course it's gotta be Ukyo ... maybe Bust Hanzo.  Ha ha, this is 
something you gotta figure out for yourself (Yuga is damn powerful but 
he's kinda ugly).
