      This FAQ is for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the Playstation game 
console. It is the first FAQ that I've wrote so far. It is not intended 
for beginners just learning how to play. This is a combo FAQ so it will 
go in depth at how to pull amazing combos. The reason I wrote this FAQ 
is because on http://gamefaqs.com I saw the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 spot 
on the top 10 FAQs keep on climbing down. Not a lot of people were 
updating their FAQs, and maybe that was the reason for their downfall. 
I will update this FAQ regularly. I wanted for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 
to go up a couple of spots and stay there. OK, that's the end of me, 
let's go to the FAQ!

      3) Combo Tips
-=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-

-Always No Comply/Boneless before every move. This adds some points to 
your base score and adds another multiplier as well as giving you a 
boost.

-Use manuals to link tricks and combos.

-Use spins in between jumps of manuals/grinds.

-While grinding, balance by pressing left/right. This will lengthen 
your grind, thus giving you more points.

-Know when to jump off from a grind/manual. It's a lot better to get 
the points you can rather than losing them all.

-Always hold down X. You will move faster and you will always have a 
jump ready.

-Don't bail. It takes time to get up and it also gets rid of all of 
your special.

-When landing a trick, try to land it straight so that you get a 
"Perfect" landing. This will increase the total amount of points by a 
lot.

-When you buy stats, buy them in ollie, speed, manuals, rail balance, 
and switch. This will help out with the big combos.

-Use heelflips/kickflips in between manuals and grinds when your jump. 
This will add some points to your base score and also add a multiplier.

-Don't use the same type of grind more than three times. If you keep on 
doing the same move, the point value for that move goes down.

-When your combos start to get weak, skate in switch. This will allow 
you do moves that you did in regular without a point deduction.

-Use street skaters. They are better than all-arounds and verts for big 
comboing.

-When you bail (fall down), rapidly tap all of the buttons to get up 
quicker.

-Use L2/R2 to spin faster than using L1/R1 or a direction. Tap L2/R2 
repeatedly for more spins.

-When the big drop warning appears, hold X to avoid bailing.

-Wallrides and wallies are good in combos.

     4) Level Strategies

      This section tells you where to go to score big points. Every 
paragraph is a different combo.

            4.1) The Hangar - Mullet Falls, Montana
-=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-

      You start out at the rollin and come down. Boneless over the pipe 
while holding a grab trick and spin it 360 degrees getting the "Over 
The Pipe" transfer. Land in a manual and manual up to the quarter pipe. 
Grind the quarter pipe with a special grind going left and hold the 
grind going into the next room. When you run out of balance jump off 
and land or land in a manual and do some kickflips. This combo usually 
gives me about 150,000. Or, you can kick it up a notch.

      Boneless over the pipe while holding a grab trick and rotating it 
540 degrees, landing in a manual. When you approach the quarter pipe, 
do a lip trick and hold it for about two seconds on the rail above, 
getting the "High Steppin'" transfer. Right after you come down from 
the lip trick, hold triangle to grind on the quarter pipe. Jump up from 
the grind and hold triangle again to grind on the higher rail. When the 
rail runs out, jump and do a flip trick and spin 180 degrees, landing 
in a special grind on the quarter pipe, getting the "Raildrop" 
transfer. Hold this grind until you can no longer balance and jump off 
the quarter pipe landing in a manual and doing tricks/spins. You can 
wall ride the wall on the sides and then wallie at the peak of the wall 
ride landing in another manual. Keep on manualing and flip/spinning 
until you run out of balance. This combo usually gives me about 500,000 
points.

      You can also start this combo by going to the airplane to the 
left of where you start and doing a Boneless to 360 flip trick and 
landing in a manual, getting the "Wingtip Hangtime" and "Instrument 
Landing" transfers.

            4.2) School 2  Southern California
-=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-

      From the start turn right and go to where the first bell is. 
Boneless up the ramp and wall ride and wallie and then do a 360 flip 
trick landing in a special grind. When you reach the end, you will 
either fall right and stop the combo, fall left and kiss the rail 
below, or you will fall left and start grinding the way you came on the 
rail below. If you start grinding the other way, jump off at the end 
and manual up to the quarter pipe and finish the combo with a 540 grab 
trick, This combo usually gets me 75,000.

      From the start, head straight and special grind down the "Roll 
Call: Nightmare Rail." At the bottom, manual and then wall ride and 
wallie, landing in another manual. Go to the gym doors and grind the 
two rails that are facing each other and grab the "Gym Rail 2 Rail" 
transfer. Land in a manual. Ride to the "Roll Call: Gonz Rail" and 
ollie up the kicker and grind it down, landing in another manual. Grind 
"Bendy's Curb" and at the end of the curb jump to the right side with a 
flip trick, landing in another manual. Finish off this combo by jumping 
off the quarter pipe and holding a 540 grab trick. This combo usually 
nets me about 250,000.

            4.3) Competition 1 - Marseille, France

      From the start turn left and Boneless up the funbox on an angle 
and wall ride and wallie up to the top. Grind the roof and at the end 
of the rail jump off and do two flip tricks and land in a grind on the 
dumpster, getting the "Dumpster Stomp" transfer. When you reach the 
end, jump off and flip trick and manual your way to the dumpster and 
jump and do a flip trick over the dumpster, getting the "Shorty 
Dumpster Pop" transfer. Land in a manual and grind the lip of the bowl 
going right. Jump to the left when you see the rail and grind the rail, 
and then jump left again and grind the brown planter. At the end of the 
planter before it curves to the left jump off and grind the ledge. Jump 
off the ledge and grind the rail, getting the "Ledge 2 Rail" transfer. 
When the rail ends, jump off and aim for the middle of the fun box. If 
you are successful, you will get the "2 The Box" transfer. If you still 
are going, jump over the picnic table and get the "Table Pop" transfer. 
Try and land in a grind on the rail past the picnic table and jump and 
land on the rail next to it and get the "Rail 2 Rail" transfer. If you 
still have balance, manual over to the fun box and wall ride and wallie 
up to the roof and start the combo over again. This combo usually gets 
me about 250,000.

      From the start, head over to where the crossbar is and boneless 
to flip trick and grind the cross bar to get the "Crossbar Stomp" 
transfer. Near the end of the bar, jump to the left and land in a grind 
on the lamp, getting the "Lamp Stomp" transfer. When you reach the end, 
jump to the right and try and land on the rail below with a special 
grind. At the end, jump off and manual up to the other rail and special 
grind that. Jump off at the end with a flip trick and manual into the 
bowl and end the combo with a spinning grab trick. This combo usually 
gets me about 200,000.

	From the start, lean to the left and grind the spine and go to 
the quarter pipe and ollie off of it without doing any tricks. When in 
the air, your position must not change. Come down and keep on going 
until you reach the edge of the quarter pipe of where you grinded. 
Boneless and do a 900 grab trick. If you get enough air, you can get 
the "Up!," Up!!," and "And Away!!!" transfers. You must land they way 
you came up or you will bail. I usually get around 200,000 with this 
difficult combo.

            4.4) New York City  New York

	From the start turn left and boneless and wall ride the gate and 
grind the top. When you reach the end, jump and land in a special grind 
on the next gate and go around the corner, getting the ". Jump Left and 
land on the other side of the gate with a special grind and when you 
reach the end, jump and land on the next gate with a regular grind. The 
combo will stop automatically, and you will fall into the edge, but you 
still get the points. I usually get around 150,000 with this combo.

      From the start turn around 180 degrees and turn right to where 
the big quarter pipe is and where the rock is. Go to the fence and 
boneless and grind the fence with a special grind. When you reach the 
snack bar jump to the right and grind the counter, getting the "You're 
Next in Line" transfer. Jump off and grind the bench, getting the "Grab 
a Snack and Sit Down" transfer. At the end of the bench, jump off and 
land on the black rail with another special grind, getting the "Buuurp! 
Now go and Skate" transfer. Jump off at the end of the rail and do a 
spinning grab trick on the quarter pipe to end this combo. I usually 
get about 100,000 with this combo.

            4.5) Venice Beach  California

      From the start turn right and boneless onto the gray wall and 
grind it until you get to the rail. Jump and grind again and then jump 
to the left and manual and then jump and kickflip and then land in 
another manual. You should have lots of speed right now. Make a sharp 
left turn and jump off the quarter pipe and land on the quarter pipe 
that's past the one in the middle while holding a grab trick and 
spinning it, and make sure you land straight. I usually get about 
100,000 with this combo. Or, you can take it further

	From the start, turn left and wall ride and wallie the brown wall 
and grind the roof. Jump and flip trick and land in another grind. At 
the end of the roof, jump and do two flip tricks and land in a manual. 
Go up to quarter pipe and grind the lip to the left. When you get to 
the end, jump to the left and flip trick and grind the gray divider up. 
Jump and flip trick and land in a manual. Keep on going down the level 
while getting planter pops and when you reach the place where the 
quarter pipes are, make a sharp left turn and do a spinning grab trick. 
Make sure you have a lot of speed. This combo usually gets me about 
400,000, but I've gotten up to 700,000 with it.

            4.6) Competition 2  Skatestreet, Ventura

	From the start, before you go down the waterfall, turn left and 
do a boneless to a 360 grab trick. You should have special right now. 
Go up to the ramp with the rail in between the middle and boneless 
while leaning to the right a little and do a 720 grab trick or a 720 
special. Land with a special grind on the part of the half pipe that is 
to the right and balance until you reach the end. Your base score 
should've gone up a lot. At the end of the lip, jump and do a flip 
trick and land in a manual. Keep on manualing and doing kickflips while 
doing 180 spins until you know that you can no longer balance. I 
suggest that you end your combo by going up a quarter pipe and doing 
lots of spins and kickflips. For example, go up a quarter pipe and hold 
right or left and press square like four or five times and try and land 
it perfect. If all goes well, you should get 500,000 or more. I've 
gotten up to 1.7 million with this combo.

      To the right of the wave wall, there is a rail leading to the 
right. You can lip trick this and land in a manual and continue on with 
your combo.

            4.7) Philadelphia  Pennsylvania

      From the start turn right a little and boneless and grind on the 
spine. In the middle of the spine, jump and do a flip trick and land in 
another grind. You should have special now. If not, restart. Boneless 
over the kickers, getting the "Worlds Most Obvious Gap" transfer, and 
do a 360 grab trick and land in a grind on the rail going down the 
steps, getting the "Worlds Second Most Obvious Gap" transfer. Come down 
in a manual and jump up the little ramp and land on top of the balcony 
with a manual. Go to the left and wallride and wallie to the top of the 
roof and then land in a manual and go to the edge and land on the wire 
with a special grind and grind all the way down. When the wire runs 
out, keep on grinding on the right side and then jump off and land in a 
manual. Keep on manualing and doing kickflips until you have no more 
balance. I usually get about 200,000 with this combo.

      From the start, turn left a little and line yourself up with the 
upper part of the funbox. Boneless off the funbox and do a 360 grab 
trick. You should have special now. Go to the right a little and then 
boneless onto the ledge and do a special grind down the ledge. At the 
end of the ledge, when it turns to the right, jump off and do a 360 
trick ad land with a special grind on the ledge below, getting the 
"Just Visiting" transfer. It's not easy landing on the ledge below, but 
with practice you'll get it. At the end of the ledge, jump and do a 
trick/spin over the post, getting the "Easy Post Ollie" transfer, and 
land in a manual. Keep on racking up multipliers until you run out of 
balance. I usually get around 200,000 with this combo.

            4.8) Competition 3  The Bullring, Mexico
-=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-

      From the start, go to one of the four quarter pipes on the outer 
part of the stands. Do a lip trick in the middle of the quarter pipe 
and launch off of the ramp that leads to the wire above your head with 
a boneless. Grind the wire with a special grind and balance it out as 
far as you can. Every time you go over one of the lights, you get the 
"Friggin a Hombre" transfer. There are lots of lights, so your 
multiplier count will go way up. When you run out of balance, jump off 
and do a 360 grab trick and land in a manual and keep on raising your 
multiplier count. I usually get about 200,000 with this combo.

      Go to the end of the outer edge of the full pipe and hold back 
and left or right and hold that until the time reaches about 10 
seconds. Line yourself up with the full pipe and go around it, getting 
a degree of spin and the "Way to go, Gringo!" transfer. This isn't 
really a combo, but you can get mad points with this neat trick. I 
usually get around 400,000 with this. Christoff gave me this cool 
trick.

      5) High Scores

      This section is where to show off your high scoring combos and 
your crazy runs. Send your high scores to frugin@hotmail.com with the 
level and skater. Right now there's only me on this thing, but send 
your scores in. They will most likely be posted if they are good 
enough. I know that you can beat me, because I've seen some videos of 
people getting over 3'000'000 in one combo, and some people claim to 
get 8'000'000 in one run. The best score for a combo must be at least 
150,000 and your best score for a total run must be at least 500,000. 
Combo scores should be rounded to the thousands or more.

My best combo: 1'720'000 in Skatestreet, Ventura, using Rodney Mullen.
My best run: 5'400'000 in Skatestreet, Ventura, using Rodney Mullen.
