the Japanese characters, I recommend you download a Japanese/English word

Here is my FAQ on the awesome game that is Shanghai! Shanghai draws parallels
with Tetris as it is simple yet extremely addictive. This game is *the*
essential game for long holiday road trips, since a jumpy screen due to bad
suspension will hardly ruin your game!

==============================================================================
1)HISTORY OF SHANGHAI
==============================================================================
Shanghai is a solitaire twist on one of the most ancient and popular games on
earth - Mah Jongg. Mah Jongg's origins are hazy: some people think Noah
created it on the ark to pass time, some think it was created by the highly
quoted Chinese philosopher "Confucius" & others think it was created by
Chinese sailors to break the long dull days of long ocean voyages, one thing
is for sure this is an old game (between 2500 and 4350 years old). Mah Jongg
swept the west after the White brothers introduced it to the English clubs of
Shanghai in the 1900's, where the western inhabitants took to it in a big way,
and brought it home to their countries. Twenty years after Mah Jongg became
the biggest craze the west had ever seen, everyone was playing it. Leagues
popped up everywhere. In the 1980's Shanghai was born, the tiles arranged in
the form of the Dragon offer a whole new challenge to game players the world
over - to slay the Dragon that has defeated all comers for 2500 years.

==============================================================================
2)CONTROLS
==============================================================================
Control Pad: Moves cursor

A Button: Confirm

B Button: Cancel

Start: Press on title screen to start game.

Select: During the game it opens up the Sub-screen. But if you press it with
        Start on the title screen a layout select will appear.

==============================================================================
3)THE SUB-SCREEN
==============================================================================
Press select to view the Sub-screen. In it you have these options:

NEWGAME: Choose between 17576 layouts by using a three letter code.

OPTION: HINT: Hi-lights a current pair as a hint for removal.
        PLAYBACK: Puts back the tiles you removed a pair at a time.
        FACE: Changes the tiles to English tiles and symbols.

BGM: With this option you select different Background Music between a possible
     three songs.

==============================================================================
3)RULES & PLAYING THE GAME
==============================================================================
The basic idea of the game is to match free tiles until you clear the dragon
layout. A tile is only free if no tiles are on top of it and it has no tiles
to either the left or right of it. Tiles can be matched and removed if they
are free and identical, simply place the cursor over one of the tiles and
press A then place the cursor over the matching tile and press A twice. But
if tile doesn't have a identical (Flower & Season Tiles) they can be matched
with tiles of there same type. For example a SUM tile and a WIN tile can be
removed together. B lets you cancel a selection of a tile.

If you spot three identical tiles you must weigh up which tiles will help you
clear the Dragon. If a tile is on the far left or far right, or if it's the
lone tile on top of the Dragon I would give it priority for removal. Remember
whenever you find 3 tiles, since if you get stuck these are the tiles to
PLAYBACK to.

==============================================================================
4)TYPES OF TILES
