Hello, and welcome to my Weapons, Armor, and Items guide to Unreal 
Tournament for the PC. If you want the lowdown on all the weapons, 
armor, and items in the game, and how to use them effectively, look no 
further. Im here to do my best and answer anything you need about 
these three things. Enjoy! :)

As you should know, the Primary Fire is used with the left mouse click 
and the Alternative/Secondary Fire is used with the right mouse click.

Ratings are giving a certain amount of stars (*) for a rating, one 
being the lowest and five being the highest.

Impact Hammer /


Classification  Melee Piston

Primary Fire  Hold it down, and it will automatically release when you
               touch a foe.

Alternative Fire  Rapid impact, can deflect gunshots if timing is
                   good.

Combos - None

Comments  Its extremely powerful, but you have to be extremely close
           to use it effectively. If you do manage to get close with
           the Impact Hammer, use the Primary shot rather than wasting 
           time with multiple weak shots. Only try using it if you have 
           NOTHING else.

Enforcer /


Classification  Light Pistol

Primary Fire  Normal fire.

Alternative Fire  Rapid fire.

Combos - None

Comments  Your initial lightweight gun. Shooting at normal rate is not
           too bad, as its quite accurate, and although rapid fire
           shoots more at a time, its less accurate. Using the rapid
           fire shots is only recommended when you are considerably
           close to the enemy. When you find another Enforcer, you can
           use two at once, and that proves to be pretty useful at
           times.

Shock Rifle /


Classification  Energy Rifle

Primary Fire  A short energy beam is shot.

Alternative Fire  Small ball of plasma is released.

Combos  Fire both shots at a time, and a much more powerful explosion
         is made.

Comments  Not too bad. Its a good first weapon to pick up, and then
           you could find some even better ones. The combo is pretty
           good for explosions. The pros to the Shock Rifle are that
           the primary shot always has perfect aim for Pinpoint
           Precision, and the combo is good for medium-range attacks.

Ripper /


Classification  Ballistic Blade Launcher

Primary Fire  Ricocheting (bouncing) blades are fired.

Alternative Fire  Exploding blades.

Combos  None.

Comments  This is a nice projectile weapon, which could be very useful
           if you use some strategy. The primary shots make the blades
           bounce off the walls, which allows you to make some tough
           around-the-corner kills, but of course youll have to have
           good aim. If you dont have very good aim, then you can use
           the secondary fire, which makes the blade explode upon
           contact with anything. Overall, a very nice weapon.

Rocket Launcher /


Classification  Heavy Ballistic

Primary Fire  Propelled rocket grenades are launched that explode with
               contact.

Alternative Fire  By hand, one of your rockets is thrown without being
                 propelled. They explode a few seconds after being
                 thrown.

Combos  Hold the Primary Fire button down to load up to 6 rockets and 
         release to fire them all at once. You can also press the
         alternative fire to throw a rocket grenade, then release your
         propelled rockets to explode at the same time as the thrown
         one.

Comments  One of the best weapons you can get. The alternative fire is
           extremely useful sometimes, and the primary fire does
           massive damage when you get a direct hit. If youve got a
           Rocket Launcher, use it and forget about everything else.

Flak Cannon /


Classification  Heavy Shrapnel

Primary Fire  White-hot chunks of metal are shot forth.

Alternative Fire  A grenade full of shrapnel is thrown.

Combos  None

Comments  This is a very nice weapon to use until you get a rocket
           launcher, or even a redeemer. When the primary fire is used,
           the cannon fires many pieces of metal rather than just one,
           so pinpoint accuracy isnt need for full use.

GES Bio Rifle /


Classification  Toxic Rifle

Primary Fire  Fires clumps of toxic Tarydium byproduct.

Alternative Fire  Hold this button down, and a much larger clump of
                   waste will be formed. When fired, this large clump
                   will explode into smaller clumps upon impact.

Combos  None

Comments  In my opinion, this is the crappiest and most useless
           weapon. It does not do too much damage, and the explode
           radius is not large at all, so youll need good accuracy for
           something that doesnt even inflict much damage.

Sniper Rifle /


Classification  Long Range Ballistic

Primary Fire  Fire a high powered bullet.

Alternative Fire  Zoom in with the rifles scope up to 8 times normal
                   vision. 

Combos  Zoom in on the target with the alt fire, then fire the rifle.
         DUH.

Comments  The sniper rifle is a great weapon, and its by far the best
           for head shots. Its pretty much MEANT for head shots. Just
           zoom in on your target with the alt fire, and nail a perfect
           head shot from hundreds of yards away.

Minigun /


Classification  Gatling Gun

Primary Fire  Bullets are rapidly fired with good accuracy.

Alternative Fire  Bullets are shot twice as fast, but accuracy is cut
                   in half.

Combos  None

Comments  The Minigun is by far the fastest shooting gun in the game.
           The Alternative fire is not too useful due to its lame
           accuracy, and it also eats up your bullets a lot faster. But
           the primary fire, on the other hand, is pretty good because
           its nice and accurate so that you can fill your opponents
           body with bullet holes.

Redeemer /


Classification  Thermonuclear Device

Primary Fire  Fires a slow but extremely powerful nuclear missile that
               explodes upon striking with something solid.

Alternative Fire  Fire the nuclear missile, and guide it anywhere
                   youd like. If youve ever played Metal Gear Solid,
                   this is similar to launching a Nikita missile.

Combos  None

Comments  This thing is unbelievably powerful. Anything in its
           enormous explode radius will be completely pulverized, and
           that includes you. But it also has many cons as well as
           pros, because the redeemer is exhausted after a single shot.
           Also, when you control the missile in alt fire, you are an
           open shot to anyone. But overall, its great because of its
           power.

Pulse Gun /


Classification  Plasma Rifle

Primary Fire  Fast moving plasma balls are rapidly shot forward.

Alternative Fire  A steady stream of green lightning plasma is
                   emitted.

Combos  Hold the alternative fire on your opponent, and use your
         primary fire on him at the same time for great combo damage.

Comments  A pretty good gun. The primary fire does some good damage,
           and the alternative fire is great because you have a much
           easier time keeping your aim right on the target. This pulse
           gun is one of the best weapons, if not THE best weapon for
           mid-range attacks.

Chainsaw /


Classification  Melee Blade

Primary Fire  The chainsaw is turned on and driven forward.

Alternative Fire  The chainsaw is turned on and will be sweeped side
                   to side.

Combos  None

Comments  Like the impact hammer, the chainsaw is great except for the
           fact that you need to be very close. The primary fire, if
           you manage to connect with an enemy, will do massive damage,
           and the side-to-side sweep is excellent for chopping your
           opponents head right off. Unfortunately, you dont get to
           do that too often.

+- [ARMOR] -+

Thigh Pads /


Armor Points  50

These highlight the upper leg portion on your character status model in 
the upper right corner of the screen. If you get hit in this area of 
your body with the thigh pads on, your thighs will have 50 points of 
protection.

Thigh Pads are not hard to find, and they are always in a wide open 
area.

Body Armor /


Armor Points  100

When shot in the chest or back, the Body Armor protects you with 100 
points of armor. They highlight the chest portion of your character 
status model.

Body Armor is usually found in a slightly hidden area, or on top of a 
box or other area that could be reached by jumping. They are not seen 
quite as often as Thigh Pads.

Shield Belt /


Armor Points  150

This is definitely the best defensive armor. It not only has 150 armor 
points, which is higher than everything else, but it also covers your 
entire body!

Shield Belts are usually hard to find or are in some kind of area that 
is dangerous to be in. You can often obtain them by jumping onto a 
block or high box from a very high area.

Translocator /


An interesting item that can be used as a weapon and a mode of 
movement. It has two parts: The source, and the destination module. The 
source is the small handheld device that you see, and with it you can 
fire destination modules. You can teleport to wherever the module was 
thrown.

Primary Fire Button  Throw the destination module.

Alternative Fire Button  Teleport to wherever the destination module 
landed.

The Translocator could also be used as a weapon that causes instant 
kills. If you can throw your destination module close enough to an 
enemy and teleport to it, you will telefrag your opponent, and that 
means you have killed them instantly and can grab his or her weapon. 
Its tough, but if you master it, it proves to be extremely useful.

Notes  If you teleport with this device while holding the flag in
        Capture the Flag mode, the flag will be dropped in the area you
        teleported from. 

      - If you see a destination module on the floor that is NOT yours,
        shoot it. Someone that tries to teleport to a shot module will
        be instantly killed.

== Health Restore ==

Health Pack /


Amount of Health Points Restored  20

Maximum Amount of Health  100

Health Packs are your typical health restoration item, which restore a 
nice 20 points of life. However, they cannot make your health go over 
the 100 mark. Nevertheless, they are still useful, and are often found 
in wide open, easy to reach areas, and they often have another one next 
to it. :)

Health Vial /


Amount of Health Points Restored  5

Maximum Amount of Health  199

Health Vials are little test tubes with a health-restoring liquid 
inside of them, and they only restore 5 points. However, they are 
always found in pairs or groups, so youll never find just one, but 
rather 2-6 bunched up. Also, they prove to be quite useful because they 
are not too hard to find or obtain, so its the best way to make your 
health go over 100.

Big Keg O Health /


Amount of Health Points Restored  100

Maximum Amount of Health  199

A Big Keg O Health is an excellent item for saving your life, since 
they restore a whopping 100 points AND can make it go over 100! 
However, the bad part is that they are not found too often, and when 
they are, they are in some kind of hard to reach area or in an area 
that can kill you somehow. But if you find one, youll be healed very 
nicely, so its worth it to go and grab one if possible.

== Power-Ups ===

Damage Amplifier /


Effect  User glows purple for thirty seconds, and during that time all
         of his or her weapons get a huge power increase.

A damage amplifier is a great power-up that makes your weapons 
incredibly strong. Normally, they are found in area that are somewhat 
hard to reach, but not too hard overall. During your thirty seconds of 
power, you can slaughter your enemies with almost any weapon. I can use 
a personal example that happened to me...

I had an enforcer, and I received the Damage Amplifier, and a couple 
seconds later I ran into an opponent. This enemy had a brand new, 
undamaged Shield Belt, and he also had 115 health points, and a Rocket 
Launcher in hand. I totally whooped him with just one enforcer and no 
armor.

So if you find one, get it and find people to kill quick!

Invisibility /


Effect  Makes you practically invisible for a short time.

I do not see this power-up too often, but when I do manage to get my 
hands on one, it works great. You become completely invisible, except 
for some visible outlines. This is excellent for killing your enemies 
while right in front of them, and they dont even notice someones 
there until they get shot!

AntiGrav Boots /


Effect  Allows you to make 3 extremely high jumps.

These boots are found very often, and lots of times are right next to 
some Body Armor. When you get these, your next 3 jumps will make you go 
extremely high, which can be good or bad. On one hand, its good 
because you can reach areas that were inaccessible before. But on the 
other hand, its very, very tough to control your jump, or flight 
trajectory. Make sure you take advantage of these boots.

Scuba Gear /


Effect  Allows you to breathe underwater.

A rare find, but pretty useful in some cases. When you get these, you 
can stay underwater for as long as you wish, without losing your health 
and eventually dying. These can be used to your advantage to find many 
useful items such as Shield Belts of a Big Keg O Health underwater.
