--------------------------- STORY -------------------------------
_____________________________________________________________________

You may not read this, because you want to see the moves list, then if
you don't want to know the story, skip this section.

I think that the storyline of a game matters the same than the gameplay,
so I like to know the storyline of these games. Okay, it's a fighting
game, but that doesn't mean that the game should not have its own
storyline.

I'll not tell the Iori's story in this game, because in these crossover
fighting games, the only thing that matters is the gameplay (e.g. MARVEL
VS CAPCOM, MARVEL VS STREET, etc.), and the story is a little poor in
details.

I'm a big fan of the King of Fighters' games, and specially of Iori, K'
and Rugal. So I resumed only Iori's story on the King of Fighters'
universe. So let's go!

--Until the year 197 A.D.(1800 years before KOF 1997), the Kusanagi clan
and the Yagami clan were the same, known as Yamanagi (I don't remember
the real name, but it's a mix between Yagami and Kusanagi). But, in this
fatidical year, the Yagamis sealed an agreement with Orochi (last boss
from KOF 1997). This agreement would do the Yagamis to be more powerful,
but one thing they don't know is that the Yagamis will pass one curse to
all their descendants, this curse is known as the Orochi's blood, that
makes an Yagami more powerful, but controled by Orochi's power.

--With some sacrifice, the Kusanagis sealed the Orochi power, and they
separated from the Yagami clan. Since this date, all the Kusanagis have
to fight those that has the curse of Orochi (the Kagura clan does this
too, but by other means, remember of Chizuru Kagura), being the Yagamis
or any other. Orochi made agreements with other clans too, like the
Bernsteins (remember Rugal?),the Nanakases (Yashiro), and in this game,
Akuma/Gouki (yes, Akuma/Gouki has the Orochi's blood).

--Iori Yagami appeared first time on KOF 95, fighting together with
Billy Kane and Eiji Kisaragi. The true rivalry between him and Kyo
Kusanagi started only in KOF 96, and since then they fought each against
other with all their strenght.

--Iori don't really hate Kyo(and vice-versa). Iori has a true feel of
respect for Kyo (only respect). Like they two live in a different epoch
of the other Kusanagis and Yagamis, they don't agree with this thing of
"Yagami VS Kusanagi" (see the ending of the Hero Team on KOF 97). But
all the years are the same thing, they fight to prove one to the other
who's the more powerful.

--KOF 96: after that story of Rugal (last year tournament, 1995). One
woman that is the representant of the Kagura clan (this clan guards the
Orochi power), named Chizuru Kagura, invited the most powerful fighters
of the world to challenge one each other, but her motives are more than
just a tournament. She invited specially Iori Yagami and Kyo Kusanagi,
because they two are the keys to seal the Orochi's power. In the end of
this tournament, when Kyo, Benimaru and Goro beat Goenitz, Iori started
to act very weird. He killed Vice and Mature, the two secretaries of
Rugal. But before dying, Goenitz says that was in vain, someone will
unlock Orochi's power and they can't detain it.

--KOF 97: bizarre incidents in this year. Yashiro Nanakase, Shermie and
Chris are trying to revive Orochi, using Chris' body as a host. After
the Japan Team wins the tournament, Iori claims them a fight. But, when
they're about to start fighting, Iori begins to act very weird. At the
same time, Leona begins to act weird too, but she's stopped by Ralf and
Clark, her team partners. When the Japan Team finally pass through
Yashiro, Shermie and Chris, surprise!! They now have to fight Orochi
himself. The Japan Team doesn't win. The only chance is joining the
Three Items of God (Yagami, Kusanagi and Kagura), also called Sacred
Force, or God's Caliber Team. With some sacrifice, they win. But with a
last breath, Orochi tries to control Yagami. Thinking that he's the
winner now, Orochi order to Yagami kill Kyo and Chizuru. But he didn't
it. He jump towards Orochi and begins to hang him by his neck. Kyo knows
that Yagami alone will not kill Orochi, than himself hits Yagami and
Orochi, killing Orochi but not Yagami.

--KOF 99 to 2001: I'll write this later, when I get more details.

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING...

I've got some info from Iori, so I thought it's good to write it. It's
not much, but it's something, anyways.

-------------------- IORI YAGAMI PERSONAL INFO ---------------------
_____________________________________________________________________

--First Name: Iori

--Last Name: Yagami

--Blood Type: Orochi (only kidding! I don't know)

--Birthdate: ??/??/?? (if you can give me this info, send it)

--Age:??

--Nationality: Japan (I think...)

--Martial arts: Yagami's secret techiniques (Yagami clan fighting style)

--Rivals: Kyo Kusanagi and K'

--Friends/Allies: Kyo (yes, but he's only an ally, not a friend),
Chizuru (see the Sacred Force ending on KOF 97) Vice (Vice uses the same
Martial Arts as Yagami), Billy (fought together with Iori in KOF 95) and
Eiji (the same thing as Billy).

--Guys who really hate him: Billy Kane, Ryuji Yamazaki, Yashiro
Nanakase, Saisyu Kusanagi(he's from the past generation of Kusanagis,
then he continues to hate the Yagamis), Geese Howard, Rugal Bernstein.

--Personality: Iori is a very methodical man. He's very quiet, only
talks when needed. If there's a real challenge, he will go there, it
doesn't matter if he has to join forces with Kyo or anyone. He has a
truly feel of respect for his more powerful enemies (Kyo and K'). But he
doesn't enter on a fight without a motive. If his enemy is weak, he
prefers to leave him dying alone, he thinks that the weaker enemies
don't deserve to die by his hands. Almost all the KOF fighters don't
like him, but some of them know that he's not a bad person either, he
only fights for what he believes. Examples of that: join forces with
Mature and Vice (KOF 96), after the Death of Rugal, join forces with
Seth, Vanessa and Ramon on KOF 2001 to fight NESTS.

------------------------- MOVE LIST ---------------------------
____________________________________________________________________

So let's get to the real thing. First, the commands:

WP - weak punch
MP - medium punch
SP - strong punch
P - any punch button (there were only two,so,if you make mistakes...)
WK - weak kick
MK - medium kick
SK - strong kick
K - any kick button (don't make mistakes again!)
D - down
U - up
B - back
F - front
DF - down-front (diagonal)
DB - down back (diagonal)

Finally, the move list, and some strategy for these moves. Only note
that Iori's moves have different effects than Iori Orochi's moves, but
still the same moves, except the Dark Orochinagi (see the moves list to
understand). The moves' names are the american names, but some moves I
don't know the name, then I didn't write these names.
Note too that many of the moves has this name: "Yagami's secret
techinique number #". This is the true name of the move.

-------------------------------------------
1. Simple moves (also called command moves)
-------------------------------------------

??????????: F + WP
*Iori do a two-hit punch, this move is very good to avoid the sweeps
(D+SK).

Reverse axe kick: B + WK (in the air)
*Iori hits the enemy with an air kick, but this kick is a little
different. Iori can only hit the enemy if he jumps above the enemy, or
the enemy is behind him.

Nail Gale: F + WK
*Iori do a two-hit kick, this move is a little slow, but it works
perfectly when the enemy is lowered.

-------------------------------------------
2. Normal Moves
-------------------------------------------

--Yagami's secret techinique number 108: Demon Scorcher: D,DF,F + P
*Iori does a ground projectile, like the Geese's/Rugal's Repukken. Can
counter some Super Combos/Danger Moves, like Geese's Deadly Rave.

--Yagami's secret techinique number 100: Demon Fryer: F,D,DF + P
*Iori does an anti-aerial move, that can hurts enemy two times, if done
closer to the opponent. The strenght of the punch (WP,MP or SP), changes
the height on that Yagami reaches. This is a very usual move to avoid
various Super Combos/Danger Moves.

--Yagami's secret techinique number 127: Hazy Fists: D,DB,B + P (can be
done three times)
*Iori hits the enemy three times, with a punch sequence. The first punch
hits the enemy, the second one rises the enemy and the third one crush
the enemy into the ground. Note that if you do this move on the corners,
the third punch sometimes doesn't hit the enemy (little weird).

--Yagami's secret technique number 202: Dark Lighting Elbow Dash:
F,DF,D,DB,B + K
*Iori hits the enemy with his elbow and crash the enemy on the ground,
with a flame explosion. Good to avoid sweeps. This move is very useful
to end the combos.

--Dark Gale: F,DF,D,DB,B,F + P (closer to the enemy)
*It's a hold move. Iori catches the enemy and throws him to the other
side, leaving the enemy's guard open to do any move (minus another Dark
Gale).

------------------------------
3.Super Combos/Danger Moves
------------------------------

--Super Yagami's secret techinique number 108: Dark Orochinagi:
D,DB,B,DB,D,DF,F + P (hold P to delay the move execution)
*Iori holds a blue flame on his hand, then he throws the flame and
several light barriers grow from the ground, going to enemy's direction.
This is a very good move, mainly because the capacity of delaying the
move to trick the enemy. In Level 1, only one light barrier grows from
the ground. But in Level 3, several barriers go to enemy's direction. If
you are experienced in this thing of foreseeing when the enemy will low
his guard (or jump otherwise), this move will accomplish your wishes.
THE MOST IMPORTANT: IORI OROCHI DOESN'T HAS THIS MOVE.

--Super Yagami's secret techinique number 121: Maiden Masher:
D,DF,F,DF,D,DB,B + P
*Iori's best move. It can avoid ALMOST ALL projectiles (and various
supercombos), minus the ground projectiles, like the Reppukens or Ground
Tiger Shots. If the enemy is jumping and you do this move, it's almost
certainly you'll hit him. When Iori catches the enemy in level 3, he
says it: "Asobi wa owarida! Nake, sakebe, soshite, shine!!!!" (it's in
japanese), translating to English: "The game is over! Scream, cry,
suffer, die!!!!"(crazy guy, isn't it?). It's a pain that this move
doesn't inflict a lot of damage, but it's good the same way.

--Ultra Yagami's secret techinique number 100: Triple Demon Fryer:
D,DF,F,D,DF + P (ONLY IORI OROCHI CAN DO THIS MOVE)
*Good move, but not too good. It's the same move Messatsu Gou Shouryuken
from Akuma/Gouki. Iori does three Demon Fryers (in Level 3). It can
avoid several enemy's moves, but only if you're near the opponent, and
get the right timing to avoid the opponent's move is a little hard (a
little? it's very hard!), because your fingers don't move in the light
speed, neither your eyes. So, guess the right moment to do this move is
essential.

Okay, so it's done. Once again, Iori Orochi doesn't has the move Dark
Orochinagi, instead of it he has the Triple Demon Fryer. Send your
sugestions to gotenksshin@hotmail.com.

------------- Differences between Iori and Iori Orochi -------------
_____________________________________________________________________

--To be less confuse, let's call these guys, the normal Iori and Iori
Orochi, right?

*The principal difference: Iori Orochi is more faster and stronger than
normal Iori.

*Iori Orochi is more vulnerable than normal Iori. It means that any hit
does more damage on Iori Orochi than on normal Iori.

*Some combos can only be done with Iori Orochi, 'cause he is more faster
than normal Iori.

*The Iori Orochi's Demon Fryer is ALMOST invulnerable.

*The screams (wwwwhhhooaaaaa!!!!) from Iori Orochi.

*Iori Orochi fills his Super Combo/Danger Move/Desperate Move faster
than normal Iori.

*Iori Orochi can do combos on Chain mode (the same V-ISM mode from
Street Fighter Zero 3) that alternate the moves (e.g. Demon Scorcher--
>Elbow Dash-->Demon Scorcher-->Elbow Dash).

*Sometimes, Iori Orochi can hit an enemy that is fallen on the ground
with a Demon Scorcher, like KOF 97.

*Iori Orochi doesn't has the Super Combo/Danger Move Dark Orochinagi,
only normal Iori has this move.

*Normal Iori doesn't has the move Triple Demon Fryer.

*The fighting pose.

--------------------------- COMBOS ---------------------------
_____________________________________________________________________

Sorry, but this section I'll write later, then in the next version you
may see it (if you have seen any of my other FAQs, you should know that
I update it frequently). Why? Because I played the game only a few
times, and I haven't figured out the combos' timing, nor the Groovies'
combos, then I should take care of this later.
