                           pointers.

Welcome to my SM: Another Story RPG State Save Hacking Guide! I've noticed many people
out there play this game and I assume there are some people that might be having some
trouble or just not having the right levels to beat a certain boss. Well this is why I
have created this guide. You will be able to give yourself much higher stats, levels,
and more yen/money so you can be able to beat this game with ease! Any ways, always
e-mail me if you need some help. So enjoy!

**Instructions**
All you have to do is open your Hex Editor program, open your save state
file, It would be the same file name of your game .zst or .zs# (with # as 1-9). All
should be located in your zsnes directory. Then edit away! Have any problems?

| 4. Character Offsets |

OK, Here we have the Offsets to each of the characters in SM:AS. Here is
everything you need to be able to edit your scouts levels, attack power, defense,
speed, evade, HP, EP, current experience points, and experience for next level. I will
explain all the needed Info below...

- Level
Your Characters Level of course. If your are familiar to the Final Fantasy
Series, then you should know that the highest level you can possibly get is 99.
Therefore don't try to put anything over level 99 because I have no idea what
might happen.

- Attack
This is your character's attack power. The higher the attack is, the more damage
you will deal to the enemies. I believe the highest attack power is 255.

- Defense
This is your character's defense power. The higher the defense is, the less damage
you will take from enemy attacks. 255 is the max.

- Speed
Your character's speed. It is obvious that the higher speed gets to go first. Your
sailor soldiers take turns going, and the one with the most speed always goes first.
The soldier with the least speed goes last. Max is 255.

- Evade
This is your evade for your character. One might say this is the chance you get to
dodge or miss taking damage from an enemy. Max is 255.

- Hit Points (HP)
This is your health/life of your character. When your soldier hits 0. She is
no longer usable unless you use an item that restores health. The more HP you have. The
more damage you can take before being K.O'd. Max HP is 999. Below shows two different
offsets. One for Current HP, and One for Max HP. Current HP is the number to the left
of the slash (/). An example is 100/150. In this case, your current HP is 100. The Max
HP is the number on the right, so 150 is your Max HP.

- EP
I didn't catch what this stands for. But to be straight, this is a scale from 0 to
12 on how much power you have left to use your senshi's special techniques. As I just
said, 12 is the limit. Current EP and Max EP are exactly the same as Current HP and Max
HP explained above... 8/12... 8 is the current EP, and 12 is the Max EP.

| 5. Hex Help |

Here I have made a chart for converting decimal to hex. To get a certain amount
of whatever stat. you want, look under the Dec side for the normal number, then
look under the Hex side which are across from each other, to get the hex digit
to type in order to get the right Dec number.

                              Dec / Hex
For EP 12 0C
Everything else... 30 1E
                               50 32
                               70 46
                               99 63
For HP, Stats... 100 64
                              150 96
                              200 C8
                              255 FF
HP continued... 300 2C 01
