1.Introduction
--------------
Lin.Mysterious(and really a bitch),just where did he come from? And what is
his relation to Seth, for it was due to Seth that Lin went in the King of
Fighters Tournament?Well all those questions can't be found here, sorry for
I can only help you improve your Lin.If you find any mistakes that I might
have made or you might have found this FAQ in another site from the ones listed
above,please kindly email me(hebretto@hotmail.com)

----------
2.Controls
----------
All are for the left side of the screen
qcf - down,down-forward,forward
qcb - down,down-back,back
hcf - back,down-back,down,down-forward,forward
hcb - forward,down-forward,down,down-back,back
dp - forward,down,down-forward

The following applies to any character:

Charge
-Hold a direction for 2 seconds

A/B/C/D
-In order light punch, light kick, hard punch etc

xx
-Press two buttons at the same time(like AB)

Dodge(AB)
-It's more of a slide that grants you invincibility for a short time,by
holding back and pressing AB you will do a back dodge. If done while blocking
you will roll away(roll back if you hold back, roll forward if you leave it
neutral/hold forward)from your opponent thus preventing from doing their
attack but it costs one powerstock

Safe Fall(press AB when your just about to hit the ground)
-A quick recovery from a fall.Comes in handy sometimes from the any off the
ground Strikers like Joe

Call Striker(BC)
-Call out your 4th character for assistance

CD attack
-A knockdown attack which can be done in the air.If you do this when blocking
you will knock down you opponent thus preventing them from doing their attack
but it costs one powerstock if you do it and it also does no damage

Throw(when near opponent,forward or back + C/D)
-Throws,who can live without them.If you call out your Striker after a throw
they will knock your opponent into the air leaving you for another hit. This
process takes up one Striker stock and powerstock

Throw escape(tap any button before being thrown)
-Stops a throw period. This year you knockdown your opponent instead of
pushing them away. You can call out a Striker after you knockdown your opponent
for an extra hit. This process takes up one Striker stock

Counter mode(ABC when you have 3 powerstocks)
-A mode in which you can do unlimited normal DMs and more damage for attacks
for a period of time. When the timer runs out,you will not be able to add
anything to your power gauge for about 5 or so seconds

Armour mode(BCD when you have 3 powerstocks)
-A mode in which you will not get into hit stun and do more damage(more than
Counter mode)for a period of time. When the timer runs out,you will not be
able to add anything to your power gauge for about 5 or so seconds

Super Desperation Move(motion of any Desperation Move + AC/BD)
-An enhanced version of one of your DMs,the set damage for a SDM is about
50%.When you finish the SDM you will not be able to add anything to your power
gauge though for about 5 or so seconds

Taunt(press Start)
-Just used to annoy your opponent but this year each time you taunt you are
given an extra Striker stock but it costs a powerstock. Also, you can't just
stop it any time you want like in the other games,so don't do it just because
you felt like unless you feel suicidal. While in Counter Mode(and maybe in
Armour Mode),if you taunt you will also get a Striker stock but that will
decrease the amount of time you have left for the mode(s?)

---------------------------
3.Command and Special Moves
---------------------------

>Command Moves<

Benpatsu Ken (forward + A)
-Lin will move forward with his knees bent and his hands forming a "X".Though
his arms are folded it's actually his shoulder that hits your opponent. This
move is a little slow and it's only best done if your opponent is in the air
as an anti-air(but it would be wise to do his Muei Kusashu[dp + A/C]instead)or
in combos

Higi Hakkyoku Ken: Dakai (down-forward + C)
-Lin will put his hands together in the air and then lower them. This move
is slow and it doesn't combo from anything. This is best used in a Striker
combo where your opponent is in the corner

>Special Moves<

Muei Kusashu (dp + A/C)
-This move is similar to Takuma's and Ryo's (f,b,f + A/C) moves.Lin will stick
out one of his hands at a fast rate going diagonal up,straight, diagonal
down. This move has auto-guard at the start.Great as an anti-air

Kasumi (qcb + A/C)
-Lin will open up his mask and spit out poison. It is recommended that you
use the A version for it is very quick compared to the C version but it lacks
the range.C version takes longer to come out but it has got more distance
and it does multiple hits

Hiten Kyaku (hcb + B/D)
-Lin will jump up in doing a number of kicks before finishing off with either
a knockdown attack(B version)or a juggle-able attack(D version and slightly
higher than the B version). You can connect with just about anything after
the D version. Both of these are hard to combo from unless in the corner

Hike Kyaku (qcf + B/D)
-Teleport.Depending on which button you pressed Lin will either travel half
the screen(B version)or full screen(D version)

Tetsuzan-bu: Rasatsu (qcf + A/C)
-Lin will advance forward with one of his hands covered by poison.A version
is faster than C version.Note that whichever button you used to do this, you
have to continue using that button for the follow-up moves(eg if you used
qcf + A,you can only continue with a hcb + A and then finish with a forward
+ A)

Tetsuzan-bu: Nagi (hcb + A/C after Rasatsu)
-Lin will go for a second hit(regardless blocked or not)with his other hand
in a upward position.Note if you used the C version of this your opponent
will be bounced up in the air while the A version as them grounded

Tetsuzan-bu: Hakei (forward + A/C after Nagi)
-Lin's finisher to the Tetsuzan-bu.In this Lin will extend both his arms while
bending his knees. If this hits it will cause a temporary slow down like Ralf's
Ralf Kick

-------------------
4.Desperation Moves
-------------------
^=Can be done as a SDM
*=Can _only_ be done as a SDM

Hizoku Ougi Yougou (hcfx2 + B/D)
-Lin will slowly walk towards the opponent and if he touches the opponent
he will then be at the back of the opponent and slashes their throats. This
move is _unblockable_ but it is quite avoidable as well so use this at your
own risk.

This move does come some glitches though :

1-If you do this without a Powerstock all of your normal
moves(A,B,C,D,CD)will become _unblockable_.Yes,you heard right,quite cheap
if you decide to use this against someone in a real battle. But this effect
will wear off if you :

a)Do a special or desperation move(which that will be blockable)

b)Block or gets hit by the opponent

c)You win and advance to the next match

But not to worry,if it does wear off you can do it again. But be warned that
if you choose to use this it is both considered cheap and real easy to cut
off the effect, and you don't want to accidentally do a teleport straight
towards your opponent

2-If you do this and is about to touch someone using Seth and they do his
SDM counter(qcf, hcb + AC)your Lin will be knocked away but Seth will continue
doing his SDM.Seth is punching air

3-You are about to touch Maxima and he does his Bunker Buster(qcf, hcb +
A/C).Lin will slash Maxima but afterwards Maxima will fly to the sky as if
he's still doing his Bunker Buster

Hizoku Ougi Ranbu: Dokugi^ (qcb,hcf + A/C/AC)
-Your typical rush/ranbu DM.Lin will dash forward and if he hits he will do
a series of hits. The SDM version does more hits and at the end he will stick
something into the opponent's body then they will be hit back five times

Hizoku Ougi Doku Shukou* (down, down, down + AC)
-A SDM throw, make sure when doing this your opponent isn't doing a move for
throw DMs in KOF2000 isn't as good as those before it.If you manage to grab
your opponent Lin will stab his hand into their body and then throw them down
on the ground. What's so good about this SDM is that once you have been stabbed
your life bar will change to a blue/purple(probably not any of those since
I can't tell colour)colour and their life will decrease until you have about
10 percent left.

I guess it wouldn't be a surprise if I told that there was a glitch to this
SDM as well huh.Well when you first stab your opponent they will lose some
bits of life then after they get up it start to decrease. But for certain
characters they will lose life when are thrown to the ground as well as being
stabbed, meaning double the damage. All that I remember is Shingo at the
moment,any help would be appreciated

---------------
5.Striker Moves
---------------

Lin-He will dive down and if he hits he will do his Hiten Kyaku(D version).Like
Kim's Striker Move.Only use Lin if your opponent is only about a quarter of
the screen from you else it won't hit.So say that your in the corner and your
opponent is in the middle of the screen that should be okay but any further
you just wasted a Striker stock/bomb

Eiji-Once Eiji appears he will taunt before disappearing,he will reappear
behind your opponent where he will do a slash attack.Very nice if your infront
of your opponent and then Eiji appears for they'll have to figure out which
way to block

--------
6.Combos

Note-You can cancel the last Crouching C into his B version Hike Kyaku(qcf

some timing and practice
