GIANT GRAM 2000
for Sega Dreamcast (Japan)

save file description by jakrause@rz-online.de

The save file is available at http://www.gamefaqs.com .

The save contains:

- one unlocked ring
- two unlocked options
- all clothes which are unlocked by completing the historic challenges
- all wrestlers who are unlocked by completing the historic challenges
- all of the other hidden wrestlers
- a level 99 wrestler with some interesting moves for the create a wrestler
  mode

Giant Gram 2000 has no auto load or auto save option. So you have to load a save
every time you start the game.
To load, select the second option from the bottom of the main screen. Then
select the option which starts with a "square". To confirm select the option
which consists of two characters.

While the rest of the content does not require an explanation I think there are
a few things you should know about the wrestler:

The create a wrestler mode of Giant Gram 2000 is one of the best of all
wrestling games. Because you cannot simply assign moves, you may find yourself
playing it for endless hours trying to learn "just one or two" more moves. Most
moves can be learnt in normal training. Some moves, however, can only be
obtained by combining other moves or levelling up other moves.
The character included in the save file is at level 99 which means that all
clothes and tag team moves are selectable for him. Before sending in the file I
deleted most of his moves and kept only some "special" moves which either can
only be obtained by levelling up other moves, combining other moves or which are
hard to learn or were the only ones for their commands. The wrestler is intended
to make things a little easier for those want to create a wrestler of their own
because levelling up moves can be very time consuming and combining moves
deletes the moves which were used in that process. If you do not like any of the
moves, feel free to delete them.

Here is a list of the remaining moves:

BURNING SPECIAL:
Tiger's Giant Gram Version 2.1

ANNOTATIONS:

Twister Uppercut:
To get this "dragon punch" or "tiger uppercut" style move you have to level up
an uppercut (e.g. Crusher/Biter: standing: forward X) to level 50. The twister
uppercut can knock down an opponent or even throw him out of the ring, causes a
good amount of damage, and is a good follow up attack for the dangerous hop. I
do not know of any other move for the same command.

running dropkick to knee:
I do not know of any other move with the same command. That is why I included
this move which causes some "bonebreaking" damage to the leg.

Bodyslam and Frozen Emerald:
To get the Frozen Emerald, which is very hard to execute, bring the bodyslam to
level 99. I have included the other combos as well, because I do not know of any
other combos which take up the same commands. There is another combo after the
shove which can be learnt from Wolk Hawkfield (technical guide page 42).
Some players may want to learn different moves for the standing B command (e.g.
Divine Grace, Taue's bodyslam combo).

Brainbuster and combos:
The only level up move here is the spinning falcon arrow which is awarded once
the falcon arrow reaches level 30. There is another move for the forward down B
combo: Mangler's/Hashimoto's DDT with a follow up forward back X combo into a
triangle hold. It is up to every player to decide which of the two is the better
one.
The 360 B spinning sheer drop brainbuster is the only move for its command and
so is the combo forward B facebuster. The facebuster can be used to get the
"Pedigree" which can only be obtained by combining move. The moves are: double
underhook suplex (Jumbo Tsuruta: front grapple: back B) and facebuster (Kobashi:
standing: forward B combo forward B). I have included both moves. The pedigree
takes up the standing forward down B command.
Other combos for the brainbuster are: keep B pressed for delayed brainbuster
(Kobashi and Barton), sheer drop brainbuster: combo down B (Kawada, Akiyama) and
Orange Crush: combo down B (Kobashi).
There are other moves for the standing forward B command.

Dangerous Hop:
To get this move bring Albright's front grapple up B belly to belly suplex to
level 30. This is a "supernatural" move some may remember as one of Kage Maru's
moves in the Virtua Fighter series and the first Giant Gam and All Japan Pro
Wrestling Featuring Virtua for Sega Saturn. The twister uppercut (see above) is
a good follow up for this move. There are not many good moves for the standing
back B command so some might decide to keep this move despite it being
unrealistic.

Izuna Driver:
Another one of Kage Maru's moves. Unlike the twister uppercut it is a direct
combo from the dangerous hop. To get it bring the dangerous hop to level 30.

Exploder:
This is just Akiyama's exploder at level 30. An Exploder at level 30 gives the
wrestler a top rope exploder once the opponent in corner standing forward back B
command is free. In this case it has already been taken by Kobashi's Burning
Hammer (see below). So in order to get the top rope exploder one has to delete
the burning hammer first.
You can delete the standing forward back B exploder in order to free up the
command to get a different move. But as soon as you start a training match, the
level 30 front grapple down B praying powerbomb of the wrestler will give him
the standing forward back B crucifix drop (looks like the Razor's/Outsider's
Edge). If you want to learn a different standing forward back B move, you will
have to delete the praying powerbomb (front grapple down B) as well.
There are many other moves for this command.

Tiger Driver and Tiger Driver 91:
To get the Tiger Driver 91 combo level up the standing forward down B tiger
driver (Misawa) to level 30. If you want to get the "Pedigree" by combining the
facebuster and the double underhook suplex (both moves are included) you will
have to delete the tiger driver first to free up the command.
There are many other moves for this command.

Build Up Buster:
To get it combine the spinning brain buster (standing forward B COMBO 360 B,
Hyper) with the Splash Mountain (either the standing version or the one in the
stomach punch combo). I do not know if this moves has got combos like the Build
Up Driver (standing 360 A+B).

S. S. D. :
To learn the S. S. D. bring the sheer drop brainbuster (standing forward B combo
down B; Kawada, Akiyama) to level 50. There is a splash mountain powerbomb for
this command as well. To get the splash mountain, level up a NORMAL (e.g.
Kobashi, Albright) front grapple down B powerbomb to level 50. Once the
powerbomb is at that level the wrestler will get a splash mountain for the
standing forwarddown forwarddown A+B command and in a front grapple stomach
punch combo. The problem is that you cannot get the S. S. D. after the splash
mountain unless you delete the level 50+ powerbomb. If you do not delete it, it
will always give the wrestler the standing splash mountain even if the sheer
drop brainbuster is at level 50. Once you have acquired the S. S. D. you can
learn the powerbomb again and get it to level 99 without it causing any
problems. You can only have the S. S. D. and the splash mountain at the same
time if the latter is in a stomach punch combo.

Standing Giant Swing:
To get it level up the opponent down, facing up, near feet: down B giant swing
(Hase, Hawkfield) or giant spin (Diablo, same command) to level 50.
The throw opponent out of the ring combo has to be learnt in normal training
(Tiger, Hyper).

Build Up Driver:
Combine the front grapple down B piledrive of Giant Baba, Omori, The Destroyer,
Don Leo Jonathan, Tiger, Hyper, or young Baba with the Standing Giant Swing (see
above). The move has got two consecutive 360 B combos which have to be learnt
in training (Hyper, Tiger).

Throw Opponent out of the Ring:
This move has to be learnt in normal training. I kept it in the file because the
character has got two attacks against climbing back opponents. The only reason I
can imagine why one would like to delete this move is to avoid conflicts with
other standing forward forward B moves (e.g. Albright, Honda, Divine Grace).

Kitchen Sink Russian Legsweep Combo:
I think this is the only combo for the special situation (wrestler near ropes
with his back to the ropes; I can be wrong). That is why I kept it. While it
does not look impressive it causes a good amount of damage and can be a valuable
escape for tight situations.

Walk on rope combo:
It is learnable in normal training against Shinzaki/Buckethead. I had no
problems to learn it but I have heard of other players who had a hard time
trying to learn it. That is the reason why this combo has not been deleted.
In the on screen movelist the combo looks different than in this list. On screen
you will only see:
forward X
          combo down X
This does not mean that you cannot prolong the walk by pressing X. Although this
possibility is not listed it does not mean that it does not exist!
There ore other moves for the same command.

Burning Hammer:
This is one of my favourite moves. It causes a lot of damage (energy) and
delivers some neckbreaking damage as well. It cannot be learnt in training. To
get Kobashi's Burning Hammer combine the rear grapple back forward X backbreaker
(e.g. Diablo) with Kobashi's Orange Crush (standing forward B COMBO DOWN B). It
is in the same slot as the top rope exploder (see above).
There are many other corner moves for the same command.

Snapmare combo:
All of the combos after the down X full Nelson are learnable in normal training
with Albright. They are in the file because I have heard of players who had
problems to learn all of the moves. There are more combos from the snapmare (X
and forward back X) and there are different moves for the down X combo as well.
I kept the down B full Nelson combo as well, because I think there is no other
down B combos from the snapmare.
There are even different moves for the side grapple B command.

Tiger Suplex 85:
To get it, level up the normal rear grapple forward B tiger suplex (Misawa) to
level 30.
There are different moves for this command.

Giant Gram:
Another supernatural move. Combine the Build Up Buster (see above) with the
Build Up Driver (see above) to get it. I do not know if there are combos from
this move.

Stomach Punch combo:
You can learn the stomach punch from several wrestlers (e.g. Diablo, Don Leo
Jonathan, Bruiser Brody). There are learnable combos from it, too. e.g. Diablo
combo down B powerbomb, D.L. Jonathan combo B Gorilla press, Brody combo down B
piledriver). To get the splash mountain in this combo get a normal front grapple
down B powerbomb (e.g. Albright, Kobashi, Kawada) to level 50. See "S. S. D."
above for details.
There are other moves for this command, too.

Bodyslam and combos:
The bodyslam can be executed from a standing position as well as from the front
grapple. See above for details.

Praying Powerbomb:
At level 30 a praying powerbomb gives the wrestler a standing forward back B
Crucifix Drop. This command is currently taken by (Akiyama's) Exploder. To get
the Crucifix Drop, delete the Exploder and start a training match. If you delete
the exploder to free up the standing forward back B command to learn a different
move in training (e.g. Hayabusa's/Birdman's/Sky High Edge's fisherman buster
suplex) you will not be able to learn it unless you delete the level 30+ front
grapple down B praying powerbomb as well because it will always give you the
crucifix drop before you can learn the desired move.
There are many other moves for this command.

Double Underhook Suplex:
There is nothing special about Tsuruta's move....unless you want to give your
character the "Pedigree". The "Pedigree" cannot be learnt in training or by
levelling up a move. The only way to get it is to combine this double underhook
suplex with the facebuster (standing forward B COMBO FORWARD B (Kobashi), see
above "Brainbuster and combos"). The pedigree takes the standing forward down B
command which is currently used by the tiger driver (91).

Hammerthrow:
I included it because of the hammerthrow attacks (see below). There are
different moves for this command as well (e.g. Divine Grace).

Hammerthrow into corner:
I included it because of the corner hammerthrow attacks (see below). There are
different moves for this command as well (e.g. Divine Grace).

Powerbomb into Turnbuckle:
I think there is no other move for this command. Because it only works in
special situations (opponent near turnbuckle) it is a move the wrestler can have
in addition to his normal front grapple down B move. The powerbomb into a
turnbuckle causes a good amount of damage (energy and neck) and keeps the
opponent in the corner for other corner moves. Some players may want to delete
it if they feel that it conflicts with their normal front grapple down B moves.

Leapfrog and Speedbump:
These evasive moves can be learnt in normal training. They are in the file
becuase they are the only moves foar their commands (as far as I know).

Hammerthrow Western Lariat:
Bring Giant Baba's hammerthrow forward forward B running neckbreaker drop to
level 30 to get Hansen's MAX Hammerthrow Western Lariat. If you bring the
Hammerthrow Western Lariat to level 10, your wrestler will get Hansen's lift up
lariat (command: opponent down, back forward X, the same command as Kobashi's
lift up lariat (see below)). The level of the wrestler's Hammerthrow Western
Lariat is high enough to give him Hansen's lift up lariat. To get it, simply
delete Kobashi's lift up Lariat and start a training match.
There are other moves for this command, too.

16 Mon Kick:
To get this MAX move bring (old) Giant Baba's standing down X stomach kick to
level 30. If you level up the 16 mon kick to level 20 the wresler will also get
Baba's hammerthrow 32 mon rocket (see below).
If you delete the 32 mon rocket, a level 30+ 16 mon kick will always give the
wrestler the 32 mon rocket again before he can learn a different move. So you
will have to delete the 16 mon kick as well, if you want to get a move other
than the 32 mon rocket for the hammerthrow forward forward X command.
There are other hammerthrow down forward X moves, too.

32 Mon Rocket:
You need to level up the 16 Mon Kick (see above) to level 20 to get this
hammerthrow MAX attack.
If a wrestler has got a level 30+ 16 mon kick and you delete the 32 mon rocket,
the level 30+ 16 mon kick will always give the wrestler the 32 mon rocket again
before he can learn a different move. So you will have to delete the 16 mon kick
as well, if you want to get a move other than the 32 mon rocket for the
hammerthrow forward forward X command.
There are other moves for this command, too.

Mexican Acecrusher:
To give your wrestler this move bring the standing forward back Acecrusher to
level 30 (Johnny Ace). The wrestler in this file has got the exploder (Akiyama)
for the standing forward back B command (see above). So deleting the Mexican
Acecrusher will free the hammerthrow forward back B command for other moves.
There is no additional move you have to delete to keep this slot free, unless
you give the wrestler a standing forward back B Acecrusher and levelled it up to
level 30. In this case you would have delete the standing level 30+ Acecrusher
as well to keep the hammerthrow forward back B command free. To learn a standing
forward back B Acecrusher you will have to delete the standing forward back B
exploder and the level 30+ front grapple down B praying powerbomb which will
immedeately give the wrestler the standing forward back B crucifix drop once the
exploder is deleted (see above).
There are other moves for this command, too.

Running Western Lariat:
To get Hansen's MAX corner hammerthrow forward X attack level up Hansen's
standing back forward X lariat, which can be learnt in normal training, to level
20.
There are other moves for this command, too.

Kobashi's Lift Up Lariat:
Bring Kobashi's standing back forward X lariat to level 50 to get this move. It
has got the same command as Hansen's lift up lariat (see above, "Hammerthrow
Western Lariat"). As with all level up bonus moves, there may be conflicts if
you delete the "bonus" move and keep the levelled up basic move.

Chokeslam from Apron to Floor:
Level up Taue's standing forward back B chokeslam to level 30. The level of the
the comboed chokeslam is irrelevant. This move causes neck and back damage.
There are other moves for the same command.

Tiger Driver (91?) from Apron to Floor:
The end of the move makes it look like the 91 version, but there is no 91 in its
name in the movelist. It is learnable in normal training against Misawa. The
move causes massive damage, especially to the neck (about 42% with lightning
icon). I included this move becuase I have heard of players who had difficultis
learning this move.
There is at least one more move for the same command.

Reversals:

The best thing about the reversals is that they are learnable. They can even be
levelled up and they can be upgraded with the lightning and weight icon. The
trouble is, that some of them are hard to find, especially the ones of the
hidden characters, and that some are hard to learn, too, because they are rarely
used by the wrestlers. In many cases there is more than one reversal for a
specific move. So keep on looking for reversals to build the "perfect" wrestler.
If you want to learn a different reversal for a move, you will have to delete
his old one.
There is not much noteworthy about the reversals of the wrestler in the file. He
has got a Uranage/dangerous Uranage combo as a reversal for swinging punches
(e.g. lariats). To get the dangerous part I had to level up the first Uranage in
this series to give the dangerous combo to all Uranages in that series. It
should be possible to learn a fourth Uranage in this combo as well but Hase
always turns the fouth Uranage into a dangerous Uranage making it impossible to
learn the fourth "normal" Uranage. The level of the reveral Uranages has no
effect on the standing forward back Uranage combo (Hase). To get the dangerous
combo there, you will have to level that first Uranage as well. I am not quite
sure, but I think that you have to level up Misawa's swinging punch reversal
tiger driver to get the swinging punch tiger driver 91 combo, too.

Giant Gram Version 2.1 Burning Special:
To get this supernatural burning special, combine the Giant Gram (see above)
with the delayed Brainbuster (standing forward B COMBO B, KEEP B PRESSED;
Kobashi, Barton). It can be deleted to make room for a different burning
special, but keep in mind how time consuming it is to learn the Giant Gram (rear
grapple 360 B, see above) if you want to get this burning special again.
