Iceman should go last, so I would reccommend pairing him with two top
t

like Cable and Cyclops. Never use Iceman on point, til' the end of a
m
a

c
h
.
He does best when used as an assist, so use his projectile type to your
advantage. On point, you generally want to try and stay back, and make
y

opponent come to you. Because of his no block damage feature, Iceman
d
o
e

really well when it's just one on one. These are the most Common

you'll face. Note that no two players play alike. This is just in
g
e

how you deal with a charcter 1 on 1:

Cable - Stay back, and make him come to you. If you fire an Icebeam,
y

probably get shot. Don't worry too much about Cable, cuz your opponent
w

probably make him start, and he won't have much left when he gets to
I
c

Magneto - I've never heard of him going last, but in this rare occasion,
block low. That's Magneto's big secret to hitting his opponents with
c

b
o
s
.

Storm - Don't let her use her Ice Storm super, cuz it can chip you, but
that's the only thing of hers that can chip you. Stay close, block when
she flies, and try not to let her use the Ice Storm. Never throw out
Icebeams against her, unless you're sure they will hit.

Spiral - Super Jump a lot, and try to combo her.

Sentinel - Super Jump a lot, and try to hit him with Icebeams. Combo
if you're given the chance.

Shotos/Guiles - Play a mix up game, dash in, out, combo, Icebeam.
B
a
s
i
c
a
l
l
y

keep them guessing, or you'll end up eating some nasty combos.

Pixies - Try to keep some space in between the two of you, by using your
S. Roundhouse. If one hits, try to link and HP Icebeam afterwards. If
y
o
u
get the chance, Jump in with a beat punch and go for the Arctic Attack
combo.

Power characters - Either combo like crazy, or stay away from them.
P
o
w
e
r
Characters are huge targets, but they can empty your lifebar in about 2
seconds.

Captain Commando - Try to stay away, and look for an openining in his
defence to combo, if he gets close to you.

Doom - Stay back and block. Eventually he'll get pissed and come at you.
Block carefully, and try to capitalize on the recovery of his launcher.

Iron Man - Stay back and fire Ice beams. When he flies, super jump, to
avoid his smart bombs. Watch out when he gets close, cuz he has some
nasty fly combos. War Machine is just a slower version of Iron Man, that
can chip you. He seems to be easier to beat than Iron Man.

Blackheart - He kinda sucks by himself, so either combo him like crazy,
or just stay back.

Jin/Cap.A/Venom/Sabertooth - The Power speedsters are probably the
toughest opponents for Iceman to beat. Treat them like Shotos, and
slowly pick them apart.

Iceman - Go for combos, unless you want to play a boring match of
throwing Avalanches at each other.

Also, keep in mind that your shake off kick will come in handy when
fighting air battles. Iceman's priority sucks, so use this for better
luck at winning air battles.

1st form - I hate this guy. He is big, slow, and can't block.
======= Before the match begins, get as close to him as you
can. As soon as the match starts, quickly hit him once,
jump over him and give him an Arctic Attack, before he
has a chance to turn around. There goes 1/3 of his life-
bar. After you do that, jump over him, and hit him with
a 2, or 3 hit combo, then as soon as he turns completely
around jump over him and repeat. When the little blue
energy spots come, if they do, super jump, insted of
jumping to the other side of him. Then continue to repeat
what you were doing. As soon as you get charged up for
another super, give it to him in the back. 2, or 3 Arctic
Attacks will kill him. Remember to block immediately if
you see him stand up straight, and raise one arm. This
means he's about to use his "rain" super, which shouldn't
do any guard damage. Also watch out if his head goes slightly
back, and his arms, go up. This means he's about to charge
at you which DOES cause guard damage. To avoid this, either
time a jump right, or super jump straight up so he will dash
under you. Once on the other side of him, dash, don't walk,
and be prepared for him to try it again. (I hope that made
           sense =P)

2nd form - Ice beam him til' dead. Avoid doing this rapidly, to keep
from
being hit by his super. When the bubbles come, super jump and
fire an HP Icebeam to pop all three of them at once.

3rd form - It looks tough, but its actually very easy to beat. You
should
be charged up after what you did to the 2nd form. At the
start
of the match, get as far away as you can, and block. You
won't
suffer any guard damage from the flames, so just wait for him
to re-apear. As soon as he re- appears, get close to him, and
try
to line up even with his head, then give him the Arctic
Attack.
When the Ore appears, you can actually get sucked right under
it,
if you push block the flames, otherwise, just ignore it, and
wait
for Abyss to re-appear. Block anything that he throws at you.
The
only thing of his that will chip you is his "Venom Fang", so
super
jump to avoid it, if you can anticipate it. Repeat this til'
you
           kill 'em.

Did you get a perfect victory?

Beating Iceman \______________________________

Unless used at the very end of the match, Iceman shouldn't be too hard
to beat. Cross him up, and look for an opening to combo, or pin him in
the corner, and chip him with someone like Doom, or Spiral, or War
Machine.

If the person your facing is smart though, they'll save Iceman til' the
end of the match, and try to stay away from you. Since Iceman does best
when he deals with only one character at a time, fighting him 1 on 1,
could be very annoying. Try to get close to him, and combo. Iceman's
specials have terrible recovery, so take advantage of that, and try to
hit him when he opens himself up. Remember, that fireballs can break
Avalanches.

Storyline of Iceman \___________________________________________

Real Name: Robert "Bobby"
Drake Birthplace:
(Fort Washington) Long
Island, New York Height:
5'8"
Weight: 145 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown

History: Bobby Drake discovered his mutant power to create ice while he
was
in his early teens, but kept it a secret from everyone except his parents.
One
night, however, Drake and his girlfriend, Judy Harmon, were attacked by a
bully named Rocky Beasley and his friends. To save Harmon, Drake
temporarily
encased Beasely in ice. When they heard what had happened, the local towns-
people thought Drake was the real menace. They formed a lynch mob who broke
into his home and overpowered him. The local sheriff took Drake into
custody
for the boy's own protection.

Meanwhile, Professor Charles Xavier learned what had happened and sent
Cyclops,
his only X- Man at the time, to contact Drake. Cyclops broke into Drake's
cell,
but when Drake refused to go with him, the two began fighting until they
were
caught by the lynch mob. Cyclops and Drake were about to be hanged when
they
broke free. Professor X used his mental powers to stop the mob, and
afterwards
to erase their memories of Drake's powers. The grateful Bobby Drake then
accepted Xavier's invitation to join the X-Men and took the code name
Iceman.
He was the youngest of the original five X-Men.

Recently, Emma Frost, the White Queen, took mental possession of Iceman's
body
and was able to activate the full extent of his powers, turning his body to
all
ice. Since then, under Frost's prodding, Iceman has learned to transform
his
body into its "ice" state on his own.

Known Powers: Iceman has the ability to freeze, or unfreeze at will,
without
causing harm to himself. He can also create objects, structures, etc., out
of
unusually hard ice, by freezing the air around him.
