Instructions for CardShark modules

AcesUp

The aim of the game is to have only the 4 aces still present in the playing area with no cards in the pack. This is achieved by dealing out 4 cards and removing the lowest visible from each suit, when no more cards can be removed another row of 4 cards are dealt on top. Only the top card of each column can be removed, any card can be moved to a blank space. The left and right mouse buttons remove cards that can be removed, cards can be dragged with the left button onto a blank space and the right button moves the clicked card to any available blank space.

Kings

Cards are dealt from the pack one at a time until the grid is full. Kings must be placed at the corners, Queens at the sides and the Jacks at the top and bottom. If a picture card cannot be placed then the game ends. All other cards can be placed anywhere. Once the grid is full, pairs of cards can be removed totalling 10, 10s can be removed singly. The game ends if no pairs can be removed. Once no more cards can be removed more cards are dealt from the pack. The aim of the game is to get all the Royal cards into their correct positions. The left button deals from the pack, and can also be used to select the destination for the card. After a card is placed, the next is dealt automatically.

Thieves

35 cards are dealt face up into 7 columns. The aim of the game is to remove all the cards from the playing area. This is achieved by dealing a card or choosing one from the playing area and then removing cards which are one above or below the current card. When no more cards can be removed then another card is dealt from the pack and so on. The cards are reshuffled and redealt if all are removed and the game ends when the pack is empty and there are cards still in play. The left mouse button is used to deal from the pack and to choose which cards to remove.

Gaps

The cards are dealt out in 4 tableau piles and the Aces replaced with Jokers (Gaps). The aim of the game is to rearrange the cards into 4 runs of suit and in ascending order. A gap can be swapped with the card which is of the same suit and one greater than the card to the left of the gap. When the first card of the row is a gap then any two can be moved there. No card can be moved to a gap to the immediate right of a king and this will be signified by a card back. When no more cards can be moved then the incorrect cards in the tableau can be redealt.
