How to install scenarios
Once Aiu finished to extract all file from archive will be displayed a dialog box. If you are experienced with the installation of scenarios under Fs98/2000 the options will be self-explanatory. There are two field: In the first you must write the folder in which Aiu 'll copy the scenery's files (e.g. if you specify “chicago” Aiu ’ll create a folder called Chicago in your fs98/Fs2000 scenery folder). In the second you must specify the internal description for the scenery. There is also a combo box near the field in which you must specify the scenery folder, if you are updating a scenery that you have already installed, select the folder name of this scenery (all scenery installed are listed in this combo box) and Aiu’ ll update the scenery. If you are installing a new scenery select “New”.

Because of Fs2000 added some new options to installation of scenarios there
are some difference between the dialog box. So if you are working with Fs98
there are another combo box that is used to choose the “extension” of
the scenery (global, regional and local). Instead, if you are using Aiu with
Fs2000, there is a button that open a new window with some extra option (here
you can specify the exclude and flatten areas).
Only for Fs2000 users
This is the window that appear if you want to specify the exclude and flatten
area for the scenary that you are installing. Usually the coordinates for these
areas are specified in the readme file that come with the scenery, so first
of all read all the documentation included in the archive to found these infos.
To insert the coordinates simply fill all the fields.
Some extra info:
The flatten areas can be more than one (1 to 10) so to insert them correctly
fill all the field in the "Flatten Area" square and press on "insert"
button. The new flatten area will be listed in the combo box at the end of the
window.
Pay attention: if the combo box is clear, Aiu will not
add any flatten area!
Beause of the outhors of scenarios give these areas (exclude and flatten one)
directly as strings to put in the scenery.cfg file you can insert directly these
string. To do this follow these instructions:
Press in the middle of "Exclude Coordinates" square to open a window
with an edit box. Fill this field with the string specified by the outhor (
something as: N45 30,W120,N45,W119 30,objects,vors)
then press "OK".
To do the same thing with the flatten area, use the "Insert text"
button. In this case, the string must have the following form: 1000,N45,W120,N45,W119
30, N44 30,W119 30,N44 30,W120.
In both cases you must write ONLY the coordinates! Do not write neither Exlude=
or Flatten.X =
Pay Attention! Aiu does't check these string so be carefull while
you are writing them!
