How to Check or Uninstall an Aircraft

To Uninstall an aircraft simply double click on its ".air" file, then choose "uninstall" in the dialog box.
For example:  we want to delete a B52. Open your fs98\aircraft folder( Usually is c:\program files\Microsoft games\flight simulator\aircraft). Select and open the b52's folder, should be listed some files, select b52.air (its icon should be a "smile")
with the third mouse button, and select "Open with Aiu". If you want make a backup copy of the aircraft that you are unistalling, simply check the "make a backup copy" check-button.

If you want to check an aircraft simply choose "check" in the dialog box and follow the on-screen instructions.
When Aiu execute the check routine show all missing files.

There are three warning levels for any file.

1 The aircraft works fine without these files.
2 All file that should be present (textures, panel's bitamp, sounds..) Missing file of this type cause some visualization problem but the aircraft should work.
3 Without these files the aircraft DOES'T work in anyway!

Some errors can be fixed by Aiu (for example if some alias point to wrong file Aiu ask for a new file to fix the problem...).

Sometimes aircraft does't need all texture listed in their mdl file. So, if you have only file with a WL=2, try the aircraft with
Fs2000 to see how it work. For exempla some of the default aircrafts have this "problem" (some missing texture...) but they works fine!
