Huizen2000 - The Netherlands - Only for FS2000.
This scenery was developed as an add-on for the NL2000 scenery.

First of all, let me be one of the many simmers to congratulate the NL2000 team-members for their very impressive job to make the NL-2000 scenery so beautiful (hopefully it will be a challenge for people from other countries to do something identical).

Now some info about the Huizen scenery. Huizen is a village with approx. 40.000 habitants, about 12 kilometers to the north of Hilversum, to the left of the A27 highway and along the border of the Gooimeer. The airport of Hilversum is a good starting point for doing some sight-seeing in Huizen. The scenery includes major buildings, the newer ones having textures with night-lighting made from digital photographs. Also the harbour and, maybe more important, the Stichtse Brug, the bridge through which the A27 connects the old with the new land. Also the company Quest Int, situated between Huizen and the beautiful historical city of Naarden, was drawn.

Installation:
Installation is a bit complicated but reading the following lines carefully will help you to get it done. First of all I had to exclude two parts in the NL2000 scenery i.e. two pieces of forrest (one to the west and one to the east of Huizen,covering part of the A27) that should not be there. This implied that I had to make two exclude commands. Because one scenery entry (in the scenery.cfg) can only contain one exclude command, I had to make two scenery entries (which I called Huizen_1 and Huizen_2).
So, let's start the installation:

Step one:
Make in your FS2000\Scenery directory two directories Huizen_1 and Huizen_2. Attach to each one two subdirectories: Scenery and Texture. Copy the contents of the Huizen_1.zip file in the Huizen_1 directory (the Huizen_1.bgl in the Huizen_1\Scenery subdirectory and the other files in the Huizen_1\Texture subdirectory. Do the same for the Huizen_2.zip file. Then copy the contents of the MainTex.zip file to your FS2000\Texture directory.

Step two:
Start FS2000, go to the World/Scenery Library and click the add-button. Activate the Huizen_2 entry and after that the Huizen_1 entry. You should place the both scenery entries above the N2000 scenery entry in the World/Scenery Libary!!! Click the V-button (OK button).

Step three
Exit FS2000. Open your Scenery.cfg file (it's in your FS2000 main directory). It is always a good idea to back-up your Scenery.cfg file first before editing it!!! Go to the Huizen_1 entry and paste the following exclude command in this entry:
Exclude=N52 17.92, E05 10.66, N52 17.39, E05 13.06,all
Go to the Huizen_2 entry and copy and paste the following exclude command in this entry:
Exclude=N52 16.96, E05 15.82, N52 16.64, E05 16.45,all
This part of the Scenery.cfg file should now look something like this:

[Area.300]
Title=Holland-2000
Local=SCENERY\Europe\Holland\nl2000\Scenery
Active=TRUE
Layer=300
Flatten.0=0,N53 44,E03 13,N53 44,E07 28,N51 20,E07 28,N51 20,E03 13
Flatten.1=114,N51 20,E05 30,N51 20,E06 10,N51 03,E06 10,N51 03,E05 30
Flatten.2=375,N51 03,E05 30,N51 03,E06 10,N50 40,E06 10,N50 40,E05 30

[Area.301]
Title=Huizen 2 (NL)
Local=SCENERY\Europe\Holland\Huizen_2\Scenery
Active=TRUE
Layer=301
Exclude=N52 16.96, E05 15.82, N52 16.64, E05 16.45,all

[Area.302]
Title=Huizen 1 (NL)
Local=SCENERY\Europe\Holland\Huizen_1\Scenery
Active=TRUE
Layer=302
Exclude=N52 17.92, E05 10.66, N52 17.39, E05 13.06,all

You have done the job. Congratulations and enjoy, and..... maybe some of these days you will design scenery of the place where you live and put it on this site too.

The scenery was developed with Airport 2.6 and FS-Design Studio. Some textures were borrowed from other developers (thanks for that).
