I have incorporated some of the tree textures for mid latitude countries... that would represent the type of trees you would see in rural New Zealand ......from the excellent " Generic Static Tree Objects for FS2000 by Gerrish Gray" into this one zip file.

Just unzip the file with the Use folder names box ticked into your FS2000 directory. It will create a scenery folder called trees in the scenedb folder. You will have to go into the FS2000 scenery library and add this scenery and activate it by ticking the Use box... call it photo realistic trees or new trees. The directory contains a bgl library which contains all the new trees.
Also it contains a texture directory with the new photo realistic tree textures. The new trees are good on frame rate too!. If you have any difficulty you may have to copy the tree textures into the main FS2000/texture directory. These trees have seasonal effects and look quite nice . I have used them around the fenceline of Feilding airport. Try changing the seasons and see the different seasonal effect. It woud be an advantage to keep this tree scenery active as a number of new sceneries are using them. What has been confusing is the release of the original trees_0.zip and soon after a number of bug fixes and maintenance upgrades.
To alleviate the confusion I have incorporated all of the fixes and upgrades into this one zip file
To reiterate this zip file is a replacement for all of the default trees in fs2000 and is well worthwhile as the new trees have seasonal effects , are easier to manipulate it, look cool , are photoreal and are easy on frame rate. Nevertheless I have set them to very dense in the Feilding scenery so that you can switch them off if frame rate is taking a hit.....
