Thank you for choosing the Boeing 737 Next Generation Panel Project, Version 2.1. You're about to begin flying one of the most technologically advanced airliners of our time... the Boeing 737-Next Generation. This version, designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, incorporates custom designed 3-D bitmaps and gauges, recreating the feel of what it might be like to actually take the controls of this magnificent aircraft.

I've made this project as realistic and practical as possible, having designed all new gauges to create the most realistic flight simulation experience available today. You will find many new features, particularly that of the new Navigational Display, which now shows all of the visual information which is normally seen in the FS9 GPS screen. This means that VOR's, NDB's, Airports, ILS aprons and yes, even the loaded flight plane will display on the ND just like the real thing. Rounding out the CRT's, you will find a completely redisigned Primary Flight Display and an EICAS Display as well. In short, every gauge has been redesigned to to a level of detail that has to be seen to believe... and this holds especially true while navigating the difficult night-time routes!

Additional features are:

Carefully detailed 3-D bitmaps and positioning of pop-up windows. New page views for both the MFD and EICAS. New fuel weight gauges that also display visual levels as well as numerical levels. New HUD integrated into the main panel view, patterned after the real thing. All gauges carefully illuminated and "back-lit" text for easier night-time viewing. Redesigned autopilot control with new digital readout windows and disengage switch. New Overhead panel with added switches including a correct Yaw Dampener.

...and much more!

This .zip archive utilizes the Flight-One Software Utility Wrapper for ensuring a safe and pleasant online transaction, and comes with a 30-day money back gaurantee if you are not completely satisfied with these files.

The overall features of this panel were designed to be as a replacement for "out of the box" panels included in FS9, most of which you're already familiar, without the need for lengthy manuals or tutorials in order to use it. Please carefully read the following instructions for installation. Most installation challenges can be avoided by following them exactly as stated.

I know you'll love flying with this panel every bit as much as I do. Enjoy!!Note: no space for the text!
INSTALLING THE PANEL
Note: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EXTRACT DIRECLY TO FLIGHT SIMULATOR. THIS IS A MANUAL INSTALL.

Extract "B737KS.zip", and place the folder, "Flight Simulator 9" into your C:Program Files\Microsoft Games folder. This will place all of the files in their intended locations, and will not overwrite any existing files. When prompted, click "yes" to overwrite. This will only add to the files within Flight Simulator and will not alter or delete any existing files.

Once the files are in place, all that's left to do is to install the new configuration file for the aircraft container folder you intend to fly the panel with.Note: no space for the text!
INSTALLING THE CONFIGURATION FILE
What needs to happen now is to install the new panel configuration file to whichever aircraft you choose to use your new panel with. Let's say you have a Flight-FX 737-800 already installed and you want my panel to work with this aircraft... this is what you do:

Sub-Step 1 - Re-naming the panel folder

Decide which aircraft you want to use your new panel with and open it's container folder. Inside this folder you will see other folders, namely a "model", "panel", "sound" and "texture" folders. If you want to save the original panel for future use, you will need to make a back-up of it. Doing this is easy. I suggest that you simply re-name the panel folder to "zpanels" for instance or whatever name you choose. By doing this, the game will now ignore this folder and you will then need to replace it with my new "panel" folder. To do this....

Sub-Step 2 - Installing the new panel folder

Go to C:Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\ PrecisionPanels\ConfigurationFiles\B737-NG. Open the "B737-NG" folder and inside you will find your new "panel" folder to replace the one you just re-named. Copy this new panel folder and place it in the aircraft container folder of your chosen aircraft to where you just renamed it's original panel folder. Got it? You changed one panel folder and are now replacing it with the new one... okay? Guess what? You're finished! Close all folders and start Flight Simulator and enjoy your new panel.Note: no space for the text!

I would like to thank Jan, Bill, Eugen and those that post at the AVSIM panel design forum for their much patience and help. Also a big thank you to Project Fokker 10070, for allowing me the use of their GPWS gauge for this project and whos work inspired me to begin creating 3D bimaps for panels and gauge creation.
