                    Steps for formattong the LXT200A

Run setup: The CMOS SETUP tables need to be checked to see that a hard drive 
entry is included. With a "REAL" IBM (R) PC AT (R) use the IBM (R) diagnostic
diskette ot change the CMOS SETUP. With a compatable it may be possible to 
access and change the SETUP information by by using keyboard code 
(eg CTRL-ALT-ESC) The information on what to use should be in the system manual



THE LXT200A HAS THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS:

    816 CYLINDERS
     
     15 HEADS
     
     32 SECTORS

IF THIS CONFIGURATION IS NOT AVAILIABLE IN THE SYSTEMS BIOS, USE THE 
CONFIGURATION THAT IS THE CLOSEST MATCH. DO NOT GO EXCEED ON ANY OF THE 
PARAMETERS.

PARTITIONING: Use the F-DISK software to partition the drive. 

FORMAT: After partitioning the drive you need to perform the high level
format. (eg. FORMAT C:/S)

NOTE: "DO NOT LOW-LEVEL FORMAT THIS DRIVE!!!!" This has already been 
done at the factory.
