Adaptec Installation

	Novell Netware v4.0, 4.01 installation from CD-ROM

Install procedure with Novell 4.0,4.01 and CDROM on same Host adapter 

(The installation of Novell 4.0x with a CD-Rom on the same Host adapter is
 hanging before you can finish the installation.
 Reason: ASPI driver under DOS is not running with driver under NOVELL
 together. )
 
1.  Install EZ-SCSI (as example CD-Rom is Drive D:)     config.sys
2.  change to D:                              device=c:\aspi(2,4,7,e)dos.sys
3.  CD \NETWARE.40\ENGLISH                    device=c:\aspicd.sys /D:ASPICD0
4.  type install <enter>
5.  Load Disk Driver Screen
6.  select ASPITRAN.DSK <enter>
7.  Load another (diffrent) driver
8.  select AHA1540.DSK <enter> or AHA1xxx.DSK
9.  Continue with installation
10. when Copy Netware Files Screen press ALT-F10
11. Exit  and Reboot
12. change directory to c:\server.40

Novell 4.0
13. COPY D:\NETWARE.40\________\C_03C\CDROM.NLM   (8 underlines)
Novell 4.01
13. COPY D:\NETWARE.40\________\BC\CDROM.NLM   (8 underlines) 

14. copy D:\NETWARE.40\________\DISKDRV\ASPICD.DSK  OR CDNASPI.DSK 
15. rename config.sys to config.old 
16. remove in autoexec.bat MSCDEX file and reboot
17. change directory to c:\server.40
18. server -na
19. load c:\server.40\aha1540
20. mount sys
21. load c:\server.40\aspicd    or   load c:\server.40\cdnaspi
22. load c:\server.40\cdrom   
22a. cd device list  
23. cd mount 1 netware_40
24. wait ...
25. load c:\server.40\install
26. select install a new v4.00 server
27. F3   (to select the directory path)
28. Netware_40:\Netware.40\english      or 
      Netware_40:\Netware.40\english\_______ (8 underl.)
29. F10  (to continue)
